- 00:00:00when i read a new book i know i want to
- 00:00:01continue reading it based on one thing
- 00:00:05i can
- 00:00:06feel the areas of my brain
- 00:00:09lighting up dopamine the words on the
- 00:00:11page seem to
- 00:00:13dig into my soul and my curiosity just
- 00:00:16pulls me deeper and deeper into the
- 00:00:18pages rampant thoughts
- 00:00:20flood my mind and they keep me up past
- 00:00:22my bedtime which is around like 9 p.m
- 00:00:24nowadays but
- 00:00:26it's hard to stick to that i have to
- 00:00:28keep going down the rabbit hole i have
- 00:00:30to keep learning i have to
- 00:00:32understand and dissect every single
- 00:00:34perspective there is on that specific
- 00:00:37thing that is causing my brain to light
- 00:00:39up so it lights up more if a book
- 00:00:41doesn't do that for me
- 00:00:43why why would i read it why would i
- 00:00:45force myself to sit there and read
- 00:00:47something that i'm not interested in i
- 00:00:50feel like this is one big problem with
- 00:00:51schools is that people are forced to
- 00:00:53learn things that they aren't interested
- 00:00:54in and then they never go on to learn or
- 00:00:57pursue their curiosity again because
- 00:00:59that's why we have the reward mechanism
- 00:01:01in our brains
- 00:01:03right
- 00:01:04to help us separate signal from noise
- 00:01:06that's what dopamine does the
- 00:01:08unfortunate thing is that modern society
- 00:01:11has set us up to drown in this dopamine
- 00:01:15and
- 00:01:16make it difficult to separate that
- 00:01:19signal from noise not everything is
- 00:01:21signal not every piece of entertainment
- 00:01:24that crosses your screen is supposed to
- 00:01:27cause that spike in dopamine and even
- 00:01:30then we aren't built
- 00:01:32for that
- 00:01:33level of exposure and that level and
- 00:01:36quantity of stimuli that's passing our
- 00:01:39eyes every single day now the real
- 00:01:41question behind all of this is what is
- 00:01:43the utility
- 00:01:44why should i pursue my interest can i do
- 00:01:46that
- 00:01:47for full time if i'm not able to
- 00:01:50actually
- 00:01:51maintain this or have some kind of
- 00:01:53utility behind reading or just pursuing
- 00:01:57your genuine curiosity if there's no
- 00:01:59reason to do it if it doesn't pull in
- 00:02:01the money or
- 00:02:02just fulfill some kind of need in your
- 00:02:05daily life aside from just entertainment
- 00:02:07which is also a good thing to do but if
- 00:02:09there's no real world utility there's
- 00:02:11nothing kind of holding you accountable
- 00:02:13to
- 00:02:14pursuing those curiosities and keeping
- 00:02:17that reward mechanism in your head in
- 00:02:20check and this has been one big thing
- 00:02:22that's on my mind recently is
- 00:02:25whether or not intellectual development
- 00:02:27or the pursuit of knowledge is actually
- 00:02:31worth it right
- 00:02:32why would it be worth it if my
- 00:02:35job or my relationships or other things
- 00:02:38don't require me to actually do that if
- 00:02:41there's no purpose behind
- 00:02:43my
- 00:02:44curiosity pursuits then why would i
- 00:02:46continue doing that so that's what we're
- 00:02:49going to explore in this video so from
- 00:02:51the beginning of time or at least when
- 00:02:54time began for you so when you were born
- 00:02:57you've been copying other people you are
- 00:02:59a copycat by design right how else would
- 00:03:03you survive you when you were young your
- 00:03:06parents taught you how to eat walk
- 00:03:08use the bathroom we talked about this in
- 00:03:10the last video but it's worth repeating
- 00:03:14and i repeat myself quite a bit why
- 00:03:16because why do you like music it's the
- 00:03:18repetition that creates the feeling for
- 00:03:21you there are only so many
- 00:03:23foundational principles that
- 00:03:26exist in my work in the work of many
- 00:03:28others it's worth repeating
- 00:03:30the important things and internalizing
- 00:03:32those so internalize this understand
- 00:03:35the concept of imitation
- 00:03:38copying
- 00:03:40cultural conditioning having others
- 00:03:42opinions projected on you
- 00:03:45you
- 00:03:47unconsciously or subconsciously picking
- 00:03:49up
- 00:03:50certain information from the stimuli
- 00:03:53that you are exposed to and it forming
- 00:03:56your identity your beliefs and other
- 00:03:58things that can cause a lot of pain if
- 00:04:01you attach to them if they are something
- 00:04:03you need this is
- 00:04:06also pertaining to survival and how we
- 00:04:08have developed as human beings is that
- 00:04:12humans are really the only being that
- 00:04:16have a similar reaction
- 00:04:18to when their beliefs are challenged
- 00:04:20that they're attached to
- 00:04:22as a similar reaction would happen
- 00:04:25uh in our past lives when our survival
- 00:04:29was threatened right someone who is
- 00:04:32very set on let's say a religious belief
- 00:04:34that has that challenged
- 00:04:36they will do anything to
- 00:04:39either confirm or just defend that
- 00:04:41belief like their life depends on it
- 00:04:43they go into
- 00:04:45fight or flight and their their focus
- 00:04:48narrows their perspective narrows on
- 00:04:50that one specific thing and they get
- 00:04:52attached to it and nothing else matters
- 00:04:54at the moment it's just a belief it's
- 00:04:56just a thought in your head and
- 00:04:59that's what you're narrowing in on and
- 00:05:00as you can see that can cause a lot of
- 00:05:02pain and suffering and bring
- 00:05:03past traumatic experiences to
- 00:05:06the your sensory experience right now so
- 00:05:09to add on to this the mind craves order
- 00:05:13it hates chaos it hates entropy right
- 00:05:16the mind tends towards disorder if we do
- 00:05:19not maintain order in our minds or
- 00:05:21understand how to navigate uh the chaos
- 00:05:25so there is some kind of clarity and
- 00:05:27order there then all things kind of go
- 00:05:30to then you you start to
- 00:05:33go back to an unconscious state and let
- 00:05:36things affect you that shouldn't be
- 00:05:38affecting you and you see this
- 00:05:40everywhere we're going to talk about
- 00:05:42this very soon because it is a video
- 00:05:44that i have not created yet but a
- 00:05:47hierarchy of goals and
- 00:05:50how everything revolves around that
- 00:05:52every single thing you do revolves
- 00:05:54around a hierarchy of goals whether you
- 00:05:56are unconscious or conscious of it right
- 00:05:59culture has a hierarchy of goals if
- 00:06:02it tells you you need to get a job
- 00:06:05that's a goal how do you do that you go
- 00:06:06to school you learn those are all goals
- 00:06:09right whether you want to label them as
- 00:06:11goals or not or just check points
- 00:06:12objectives quests
- 00:06:14whatever games mimic
- 00:06:17or have a hierarchy of goals you have
- 00:06:19here's how you win the game here are the
- 00:06:21quests or checkpoints or what you need
- 00:06:23to do in order to get there and it makes
- 00:06:24sense that's why we play these games
- 00:06:27whether it be a cultural game or a
- 00:06:29corporate culture game where oh you need
- 00:06:31to show up at this time you need to get
- 00:06:34this amount of work done every single
- 00:06:36day x y and z extrinsic hierarchy of
- 00:06:39goals that you may not want to do and
- 00:06:41may not provide that fulfillment as
- 00:06:43opposed to you creating your own reality
- 00:06:46by creating a intrinsic hierarchy of
- 00:06:49goals from the things that you're
- 00:06:51curious about and how they will lead to
- 00:06:53a better life for yourself and this also
- 00:06:56brings up the topic of sense making or
- 00:07:00clarity because the mind craves clarity
- 00:07:03and we find clarity in these hierarchy
- 00:07:06of goals in these games which are
- 00:07:08structured hierarchy of goals and in
- 00:07:10stories or other things that make sense
- 00:07:13to us as human beings we have to label
- 00:07:15something in order to understand it a
- 00:07:17hand wouldn't be a hand
- 00:07:19if a forearm wasn't there to support it
- 00:07:23this word that i'm saying right now
- 00:07:25would not make sense if i didn't have
- 00:07:28the words before it or
- 00:07:30the next word i'm about to say would not
- 00:07:32make sense if i did not say this word
- 00:07:33right this happens in all directions
- 00:07:35across all planes of reality that we
- 00:07:40latch on to and that's the exact thing
- 00:07:42is that we have to
- 00:07:44or we feel
- 00:07:46the need to
- 00:07:48understand the story that we are being
- 00:07:51told at any given time who am i why am i
- 00:07:54me because i understand i have clarity
- 00:07:58on what happened in the psychological
- 00:08:00past my memories that came up to form
- 00:08:02who i am today and i may or may not have
- 00:08:05a hierarchy of goals or a later part of
- 00:08:08the story that is coming
- 00:08:11that will form who i am in the future or
- 00:08:13at least where my current identity will
- 00:08:15lead to overcome the anxieties and
- 00:08:18depressions of contemporary life
- 00:08:20individuals must become independent of
- 00:08:22the social environment to the degree
- 00:08:24that they no longer respond exclusively
- 00:08:27in terms of its rewards and punishments
- 00:08:29to achieve such autonomy a person has to
- 00:08:32learn to provide rewards to herself
- 00:08:35she has to develop the ability to find
- 00:08:37enjoyment and purpose regardless of
- 00:08:40external circumstances that is a quote
- 00:08:42from mihai chiksetmihai from his book
- 00:08:46flow i highly recommend you check that
- 00:08:48book out and this again is
- 00:08:51something i harp on in every single
- 00:08:52video the importance of creating a
- 00:08:55vision for your future and a hierarchy
- 00:08:58of goals to get there because it brings
- 00:09:00clarity to your daily actions and bonus
- 00:09:03points if you take into account the
- 00:09:06intrinsic drivers steven kotler's five
- 00:09:08intrinsic drivers are curiosity passion
- 00:09:11purpose autonomy and mastery now this is
- 00:09:15important extremely important so your
- 00:09:18actions lead to a positive potential
- 00:09:20reality because if you don't have this
- 00:09:22in place as we talked about earlier with
- 00:09:24entropy mental disorder not like having
- 00:09:27a mental disorder but disorder of the
- 00:09:30mind
- 00:09:32is going to bring a lot of anxiety and
- 00:09:35overthinking and uncertainty to your
- 00:09:36daily actions and you're either going to
- 00:09:39procrastinate or you just aren't going
- 00:09:41to feel or reap the benefits of making
- 00:09:43progress on a daily basis and so
- 00:09:46shameless plug as always it's free but
- 00:09:48my power planner you can get it in the
- 00:09:49link in the description it helps you uh
- 00:09:52write out this these visions goals
- 00:09:54priority tasks etc etc the mark of a
- 00:09:56person who is in control of
- 00:09:58consciousness has the ability to focus
- 00:10:00attention at will to be oblivious to
- 00:10:03distractions to concentrate for as long
- 00:10:05as it takes to achieve a goal and not
- 00:10:07longer and the person who can do this
- 00:10:09usually enjoys the normal course of
- 00:10:12everyday life that is another quote
- 00:10:14another banger quote from mihai which
- 00:10:17except mihai enjoyment
- 00:10:19is the main benefit of this vision goals
- 00:10:23making sense of the world and having
- 00:10:24clarity on your life direction success
- 00:10:28is a game of intelligent imitation we
- 00:10:32understand that imitation can be bad if
- 00:10:35unconscious and creating things that we
- 00:10:37attach to that cause suffering so we
- 00:10:40need to do it intelligently or
- 00:10:43in another way
- 00:10:44consciously because
- 00:10:46imitation or conditioning or programming
- 00:10:48or anything else it can't be escaped
- 00:10:51our mind processes information whether
- 00:10:53we want it to or not whether we are
- 00:10:56conscious of it or not so to make the
- 00:10:58most of this survival mechanism this
- 00:11:01imitation and conditioning we
- 00:11:04have to take a step back and think
- 00:11:07we have to think about the things that
- 00:11:10are we are being exposed to whether it
- 00:11:12be our environment is our environment or
- 00:11:15at least our perception of our
- 00:11:18environment conducive to our goals and
- 00:11:21future
- 00:11:22are the things that we consume on social
- 00:11:24media
- 00:11:25which direction are they going to lead
- 00:11:27us in what echo chamber are we immersing
- 00:11:30ourselves in and how is it going to
- 00:11:32impact our future and you may think that
- 00:11:35some negative opinions and
- 00:11:38self-deprecating memes and other things
- 00:11:40that you are exposing yourself to for
- 00:11:41the sake of entertainment might not be
- 00:11:43affecting you but it is and unless you
- 00:11:46become conscious of that it's going to
- 00:11:47be very hard to escape and you are going
- 00:11:49to wonder
- 00:11:50why is why is all of this happening to
- 00:11:53me when you just aren't conscious of the
- 00:11:55information that you are consuming so
- 00:11:57this is the question are you allowing
- 00:12:00the message of growth and progress and
- 00:12:04abundance
- 00:12:06to
- 00:12:06go in go into your brain and allow that
- 00:12:09to be the information that you process
- 00:12:11and you
- 00:12:12being in control over that or are you
- 00:12:15letting the message of
- 00:12:16fear and
- 00:12:18self-deprecation and all of these
- 00:12:21limiting beliefs what are you exposing
- 00:12:23yourself to and again this brings up the
- 00:12:25importance of pursuing your genuine
- 00:12:28curiosity right if you're pursuing the
- 00:12:30things that other people want for you in
- 00:12:31terms of what you consume
- 00:12:33then
- 00:12:34you're going you may get stuck in this
- 00:12:37trap of
- 00:12:38moving in a negative life direction but
- 00:12:41if you pursue what you truly want to and
- 00:12:43this takes practice to actually notice
- 00:12:46the feeling of excitement or the raise
- 00:12:48the raised levels of dopamine in your
- 00:12:51head you need to become conscious of
- 00:12:53that and what causes that and one big
- 00:12:55thing that has been on my
- 00:12:58recommendation list pertaining to this
- 00:13:00is to reread
- 00:13:02your favorite book what is the book that
- 00:13:05caused so much excitement that made you
- 00:13:06read the entire thing uh you love that
- 00:13:09author you recommend the book to
- 00:13:10everyone reread that book and you can
- 00:13:12start to notice
- 00:13:14one you'll pick up
- 00:13:15a completely different message the
- 00:13:17second time around but you will also be
- 00:13:20able to notice that and understand like
- 00:13:23okay yes i am curious about this this is
- 00:13:26intrinsic i can replicate this in other
- 00:13:29things that i am consuming now this is
- 00:13:31where things get interesting because i
- 00:13:34am a fan of doing what you want with
- 00:13:37your life and usually that
- 00:13:41implies that you will be
- 00:13:43pursuing the skills developing the
- 00:13:45skills and other things that allow you
- 00:13:47to make an income doing what you want
- 00:13:48that doesn't have to be via
- 00:13:50entrepreneurship but that's what i've
- 00:13:52done for the past three to four years
- 00:13:54and that's what i teach you can get a
- 00:13:55job with these things you can do other
- 00:13:56things but i'm going to speak
- 00:13:58from the lens
- 00:14:00of entrepreneurship the creator economy
- 00:14:03and other things like that and you
- 00:14:06make make this connection as we go on so
- 00:14:09i'm going to throw up a graphic on the
- 00:14:11screen and we're going to be referencing
- 00:14:12this for the rest of the thing this is
- 00:14:16the intelligent imitation process now i
- 00:14:19also want you to understand that you
- 00:14:21as a human being are a perspective
- 00:14:24vessel
- 00:14:25okay
- 00:14:26everything is perspective
- 00:14:28everything internalize this this can
- 00:14:31truly impact your life on a deep level
- 00:14:35everyone is arguing their own
- 00:14:38perspective on something
- 00:14:41based on their beliefs their values
- 00:14:43their experiences everything that has
- 00:14:45formed their perspective as of right now
- 00:14:48so when you see someone in the comments
- 00:14:50section
- 00:14:51and they're like let's say you make a
- 00:14:53post and you see someone in the comment
- 00:14:55section and they're like oh no this is
- 00:14:56wrong this is absolutely wrong
- 00:14:58everything's relative to
- 00:15:00an individual's perspective they don't
- 00:15:02see if i were not to have
- 00:15:05uh
- 00:15:05primed this part of the video with the
- 00:15:07fact that i'm talking from an
- 00:15:09entrepreneurial mindset there could be
- 00:15:11people in here that have not been
- 00:15:13exposed or made aware of
- 00:15:15the things that are actually possible
- 00:15:17they'd be oh that's not no that's not
- 00:15:18possible just go get a real job what are
- 00:15:21you doing get a real job and fun fact 60
- 00:15:24of future jobs have not even been
- 00:15:25created yet like there's marijuana
- 00:15:27therapists and uh
- 00:15:30twitter ghost writers and other things
- 00:15:32that like creators are creating their
- 00:15:34own jobs that's a big theory and
- 00:15:36philosophy of mine is that their creator
- 00:15:37economy is
- 00:15:39the future
- 00:15:40so you get better at seeing other
- 00:15:43people's perspective which is empathy
- 00:15:47by
- 00:15:48learning how to catch yourself when your
- 00:15:51perspective or your focus gets very
- 00:15:52narrowed in on one thing you zoom out
- 00:15:55and you see the entire picture
- 00:15:57one
- 00:15:58quote of mine or tweet of mine is to
- 00:16:00zoom in on what's important so your
- 00:16:02values uh and other things like that and
- 00:16:05zoom out from everything else that's
- 00:16:07kind of a spin
- 00:16:08on a herman hess quote that says uh
- 00:16:13determine what is important and laugh at
- 00:16:15the rest
- 00:16:16it's as simple as that because with
- 00:16:18perspective i like to think of it as a
- 00:16:20camera right perspective is a camera and
- 00:16:23most people have theirs on a tripod just
- 00:16:25firmly planted in the ground i'm not
- 00:16:27moving this this is all that matters and
- 00:16:30then perception is the lens right and
- 00:16:33now if i blur the lens you don't see the
- 00:16:36full picture you have to assume what is
- 00:16:39on the other side of that lens and make
- 00:16:41sense of the story by yourself and feed
- 00:16:44it to yourself so you think they're
- 00:16:46wrong when in essence you're just
- 00:16:47arguing the wrong side of the argument
- 00:16:49to yourself because you can't move your
- 00:16:51perspective so take your tripod out of
- 00:16:54the ground and
- 00:16:55move it around try to this is a skill
- 00:16:58this is such a valuable skill to try and
- 00:17:00mold your mind
- 00:17:01to fit into the other person's shoes
- 00:17:04and at least try to see what they are
- 00:17:06seeing and even if you can't
- 00:17:08who who cares and another quote
- 00:17:11i'm just a quote machine today but
- 00:17:13another quote is to
- 00:17:16uh is that there is no right or wrong
- 00:17:19there is only sense and nonsense
- 00:17:22and so sense making we what we think
- 00:17:24what you think is right from your
- 00:17:26perspective is what you can make sense
- 00:17:28of or what makes sense to you everything
- 00:17:30else is wrong because you don't have the
- 00:17:32awareness you don't have the world view
- 00:17:33or experiences that made it make sense
- 00:17:36to someone else attention is the new
- 00:17:39currency
- 00:17:41novelty is what grabs attention novel
- 00:17:44perspectives are your unique way of
- 00:17:47grabbing attention
- 00:17:48right we talked about media and code in
- 00:17:50the last one and the necessity of
- 00:17:52learning how to capture attention but
- 00:17:54this goes far beyond entrepreneurship
- 00:17:56this goes for everyday life as well if
- 00:17:58you want to be remembered or you want to
- 00:18:00stick in people's heads and
- 00:18:03be seen as valuable
- 00:18:04because you're not just regurgitating
- 00:18:06the things that you imitated
- 00:18:08previously
- 00:18:10you you have to view things from a new
- 00:18:12perspective this goes for content this
- 00:18:14goes for sales this goes for really
- 00:18:17anything that you are putting out into
- 00:18:19the world you are consuming based on
- 00:18:21your curiosity you are connecting the
- 00:18:23dots and then from your perspective
- 00:18:25you're putting out a fresh and novel
- 00:18:29perspective or just message on it that
- 00:18:32makes sense to a group of people that
- 00:18:34want to follow you right that's why you
- 00:18:37like a specific book but not everyone
- 00:18:39likes that specific book that's why that
- 00:18:42book is your favorite and other people
- 00:18:44may think oh that's yeah it's a good
- 00:18:45book but it's not my favorite i don't
- 00:18:47see why it's your favorite it's
- 00:18:48perspective it's it's everything we've
- 00:18:50talked about so far and that is why
- 00:18:53saturation in the creator economy does
- 00:18:55not exist if you understand this concept
- 00:18:58of intelligent imitation how everything
- 00:19:00is perspective and you are in the
- 00:19:02business of creating a novel perspective
- 00:19:05and making it make sense through stories
- 00:19:08metaphors concepts example of a concept
- 00:19:12intelligent imitation is just something
- 00:19:14i made up it's a concept that
- 00:19:15helps you understand this better and
- 00:19:17again this going beyond
- 00:19:20entrepreneurship and people just
- 00:19:21following you or buying your products or
- 00:19:23your services
- 00:19:25this is what's going to get you hired
- 00:19:27over the next person is you stick in
- 00:19:29their mind you you cause that raisin
- 00:19:31dopamine through a novel perspective to
- 00:19:34let's say an employer that you
- 00:19:35interviewed with and they're going to
- 00:19:38stick in your you're going to stick in
- 00:19:39their head because you're like wow that
- 00:19:40guy actually that guy really made sense
- 00:19:42that guy changed my mind
- 00:19:45on this issue
- 00:19:46and even even then it just lowers like
- 00:19:49the necessity of having to actually
- 00:19:50build your value because you're sticking
- 00:19:52in people's heads and being remembered
- 00:19:55by internalizing and practicing this
- 00:19:57intelligent imitation concept now i'm
- 00:20:00very big and i see i can see
- 00:20:03the online landscape shifting quite a
- 00:20:05bit when it first started out and maybe
- 00:20:07a few years ago it was all funnels and
- 00:20:10sales strategies and marketing and
- 00:20:12clickbait and people have caught on to
- 00:20:14it and it's the same thing with
- 00:20:15corporation going back to individual and
- 00:20:18what we talked about in the last video
- 00:20:20about how communities as opposed to
- 00:20:22corporations
- 00:20:24are comprised of individuals
- 00:20:26pursuing what they want under a
- 00:20:29hierarchy of goals of a community like a
- 00:20:32like-minded community pursuing what they
- 00:20:34want and so with this i believe
- 00:20:36things are shifting back and i see this
- 00:20:39more often there are people that double
- 00:20:40down on trust simplicity and
- 00:20:43individuality they're making
- 00:20:46a lot more money and making a much
- 00:20:49bigger impact than those that are
- 00:20:50doubling down on the tactics which is
- 00:20:53like uh sales strategies and all these
- 00:20:56marketing tactics like uh like urgency
- 00:20:59and
- 00:21:00countdown timers and all this stuff if
- 00:21:02you can double down on trust simplicity
- 00:21:04and individuality then you will win so
- 00:21:07pretty much a personal brand with a
- 00:21:09personal perspective
- 00:21:11and time in the game so you build trust
- 00:21:13by being
- 00:21:14authentic you
- 00:21:17display simplicity by making sense to
- 00:21:20other people via a novel perspective
- 00:21:23and
- 00:21:24you
- 00:21:25harp on individuality
- 00:21:27by taking responsibility for your own
- 00:21:29future so if you want to do all of this
- 00:21:32and as with most of my videos i end them
- 00:21:35with some kind of practical step-by-step
- 00:21:38process to actually implementing this
- 00:21:40information because now it all makes
- 00:21:42sense to you but it's like okay what can
- 00:21:44i actually do
- 00:21:45to make this a reality reality for
- 00:21:47myself what can i practice so step one
- 00:21:50is choosing three to five mentors that
- 00:21:53you aspire to be like and one thing to
- 00:21:56go along with this is that as we've
- 00:21:58learned you become what you consume so
- 00:22:01consume in accordance with who you want
- 00:22:04to become
- 00:22:05and
- 00:22:06the the thing with all of this is is
- 00:22:09these should stick out to you these
- 00:22:11should be
- 00:22:12your favorite authors or your favorite
- 00:22:14social media accounts or
- 00:22:16really anything your favorite podcasters
- 00:22:18youtubers the the internet right you
- 00:22:20have access to people that
- 00:22:22have a congruent voice that makes sense
- 00:22:25to you so then you can take those and
- 00:22:27make sense to others by combining them
- 00:22:30and this goes far beyond just their
- 00:22:32teachings right i'm a big fan of
- 00:22:34emulation imitation whatever it may be
- 00:22:37if you like their product why would you
- 00:22:40not go and make a similar product for
- 00:22:42yourself
- 00:22:44right because you already know it sells
- 00:22:46you already know all of the information
- 00:22:47in there you hopefully have experience
- 00:22:50with it before you actually go and sell
- 00:22:51it but you're making it your own from
- 00:22:53your own perspective in a way that you
- 00:22:54understood it and you sell it to the
- 00:22:56people that you have a congruent voice
- 00:22:59with and again this goes beyond products
- 00:23:01this goes what colors what brand colors
- 00:23:04do they have how can you use those what
- 00:23:07is their tone how do they speak how do
- 00:23:09you want to speak how do you want to
- 00:23:10write how do you want to design your
- 00:23:11posts right it's like if you are just
- 00:23:14perceptive if you're receptive of the
- 00:23:16things around you
- 00:23:18it's it's intuitive all of this online
- 00:23:21business stuff is intuitive because
- 00:23:22people are already doing it and there
- 00:23:24are certain aspects of certain
- 00:23:25businesses and certain people that you
- 00:23:27like that you can pull from to form your
- 00:23:30own unique and original brand content
- 00:23:33products all of the above step two is to
- 00:23:37stop consuming and start researching
- 00:23:41right because consuming to me implies
- 00:23:43that you aren't doing anything with
- 00:23:45information you aren't
- 00:23:47enacting the hermetic law of use right
- 00:23:50you aren't using the information so
- 00:23:52you're going to lose it by researching
- 00:23:56right so let's say something lights up
- 00:23:58your brain you re-read the first chapter
- 00:24:00of your favorite book and you you take a
- 00:24:03note right and this is all a process you
- 00:24:05can get in my free guide uh seven days
- 00:24:07to genius ideas it's my creative process
- 00:24:09for actually doing all this stuff this
- 00:24:11is
- 00:24:12why this video is being created this is
- 00:24:14kind of my process but if you want a
- 00:24:16guided way of doing it link in the
- 00:24:18description when you adopt the
- 00:24:20perspective
- 00:24:22of a researcher
- 00:24:23everything starts to gain utility
- 00:24:26right because you're actively trying to
- 00:24:29connect and apply it to some something
- 00:24:31there's intention and purpose behind
- 00:24:33your consuming you're no longer on
- 00:24:35social media to be entertained and
- 00:24:38mentally masturbate you're there to
- 00:24:40research you're there to take something
- 00:24:42dissect it expand upon it summarize it
- 00:24:46uh connect the dots to other things
- 00:24:47you've learned and then form this new
- 00:24:49perspective that you can go and create
- 00:24:51and make sense to other people and
- 00:24:53condense that information like we talked
- 00:24:55about in the last video as well all of
- 00:24:56these interconnect and you can see where
- 00:24:58i'm going with this where
- 00:25:01humans can process 126 bits of
- 00:25:04information per second
- 00:25:05and you reading something that takes you
- 00:25:0860 million bits of information to
- 00:25:09process and then you packaging it up
- 00:25:13from a new perspective in a more
- 00:25:14simplified way but still holding meaning
- 00:25:16and value
- 00:25:18you're helping other people learn that
- 00:25:20same thing much much much faster than
- 00:25:22you did because you have condensed that
- 00:25:25information into let's say 10 million
- 00:25:27bits and you've made it make more sense
- 00:25:29so other people are developing
- 00:25:31themselves faster because of you you're
- 00:25:34improving their quality of life that is
- 00:25:36extremely valuable so we've we kind of
- 00:25:38just touched on this but step three is
- 00:25:41to get in touch with yourself and write
- 00:25:43it down you can't be
- 00:25:44viewing these perspectives that you're
- 00:25:47taking in
- 00:25:48from a very narrow perspective where you
- 00:25:50aren't you aren't giving yourself room
- 00:25:53to
- 00:25:54explore the other options and connect
- 00:25:55the dots and expand your mind and
- 00:25:58gain awareness on the other things
- 00:26:00related to that right there's
- 00:26:02there's the iceberg of opportunity that
- 00:26:04i've talked about before where
- 00:26:05what you consume is the tip of the
- 00:26:07iceberg but then everything under it is
- 00:26:10what you're trying to dissect and you
- 00:26:12can get sucked into that iceberg and you
- 00:26:13can turn that iceberg into an entire
- 00:26:15career and you have to get in touch with
- 00:26:17yourself because
- 00:26:19that this isn't possible if
- 00:26:21you aren't really conscious or you're
- 00:26:24close-minded you have to breathe when
- 00:26:26you like if your focus is narrowed
- 00:26:28creativity is very hard to exist in that
- 00:26:30head space if your focus is spatial and
- 00:26:33expanded that's when creativity comes
- 00:26:35into play because you can pull
- 00:26:37from many different sources your your
- 00:26:39mind is open to those things and it's
- 00:26:41much easier to tap into i'm sure a lot
- 00:26:43of you have experienced this it's like
- 00:26:45sometimes you sit down or you're angry
- 00:26:46or other things and it's like
- 00:26:48your your mind is so fixated on a few
- 00:26:51things that you can't even remember what
- 00:26:52you ate for lunch the other day like it
- 00:26:54takes a while but then when you are
- 00:26:56stress free and you're open and ready to
- 00:27:00receive information and you feel a bit
- 00:27:01more creative you're in that spatial
- 00:27:03awareness
- 00:27:05place and you can pull and you're you
- 00:27:08are much smarter when you're not
- 00:27:11narrowly focused on something so and by
- 00:27:13doing this you open up room for that
- 00:27:15dopamine to be more accurate right you
- 00:27:18are allowing that signal
- 00:27:21to
- 00:27:22separate the signal from the noise and
- 00:27:24that is what you write down you note the
- 00:27:25golden nuggets that cause excitement in
- 00:27:27you when you are reading and so step
- 00:27:29four is to dissect and distill that
- 00:27:32right you aren't writing
- 00:27:34their entire book you're taking a piece
- 00:27:36out of it and then a piece out of
- 00:27:38another book and a piece out of another
- 00:27:40book and a piece from social media and
- 00:27:42then you're expanding on these with your
- 00:27:44personal experiences your
- 00:27:45your summary and how it makes tends to
- 00:27:48you may be a step-by-step process
- 00:27:51relating to the problems that that
- 00:27:54specific thing presents and
- 00:27:56how to get to a better place and now you
- 00:27:59can see this is forming the foundation
- 00:28:01of articles posts
- 00:28:03and
- 00:28:04products for yourself so here's a more
- 00:28:06structured way to do it you have the
- 00:28:09sentence or just something that caught
- 00:28:10your attention and now you want to
- 00:28:12develop it you want to dissect it you
- 00:28:13want to understand it deeper so here's
- 00:28:15what you do you write down the topic
- 00:28:18that it relates to a brief summary of
- 00:28:20how you understand it
- 00:28:22the common problems associated with that
- 00:28:25topic the common benefits to overcoming
- 00:28:27those problems
- 00:28:28objections or limiting beliefs that
- 00:28:30people have to solving those problems
- 00:28:33personal experiences and stories you
- 00:28:35have with that topic and a step-by-step
- 00:28:38process for overcoming that problem and
- 00:28:41reaping those benefits and so you may be
- 00:28:43wondering okay dan well what can i do
- 00:28:45with all that information it feels like
- 00:28:47i'm just taking notes here well again
- 00:28:49that's why i keep stressing the
- 00:28:50importance of starting a social media
- 00:28:52account or a personal brand because it's
- 00:28:54not only for entrepreneurship it's a
- 00:28:56modern day resume and that's where
- 00:28:58employers are hiring from but you use
- 00:29:00that information like if you're a
- 00:29:01marketer or you are in the social media
- 00:29:04space you see where i'm going with this
- 00:29:06because this is all social media is its
- 00:29:07problems benefits processes it's all of
- 00:29:10this stuff so what you just wrote out it
- 00:29:13forms a foundation of a blog post a
- 00:29:15twitter thread an instagram carousel a
- 00:29:18youtube video a podcast and then that
- 00:29:20can be broken down into tweets reels
- 00:29:24posts really anything and so that's how
- 00:29:26you dissecting all of that information
- 00:29:29from one little thing that you read from
- 00:29:31say your favorite book is how you form
- 00:29:34that unique perspective that novel
- 00:29:35perspective that is going to separate
- 00:29:37you from a quote-unquote competitor and
- 00:29:41so after you do this for a while you
- 00:29:44build this database of
- 00:29:46just your intellectual property that you
- 00:29:49can pull from at any given time because
- 00:29:51this doesn't just stop after one thing
- 00:29:53you do this time and time again i have
- 00:29:54an entire database of all this stuff and
- 00:29:56that's how i create these videos as i
- 00:29:59come up with a topic and it's like okay
- 00:30:00go to my database this one can help with
- 00:30:03the intro this one can help with the
- 00:30:05body this one can help with the
- 00:30:07conclusion this will help make a bit
- 00:30:09more sense here and like i've had people
- 00:30:12question or ask me like well what's your
- 00:30:14creative process behind all of this or
- 00:30:16how are you so creative and it's like
- 00:30:17it's structured it's not like i just
- 00:30:19pull this out of my ass and start
- 00:30:21talking and that's what nobody does like
- 00:30:23the people that are super skilled at
- 00:30:25this
- 00:30:26and can do it off the cusp then yeah
- 00:30:29that like that's good and that's what
- 00:30:30all of us are aiming for and i can
- 00:30:33definitely do that more than i was able
- 00:30:35to previously but only because i
- 00:30:37developed and understood the ideas in a
- 00:30:40way that made sense to me so i can make
