amount of damage as well as making any

social interaction easy peasy all right

and before we get into the build I do

making a very very viable and effective

build so let's get into the build

overview all right so for the build
00:01:11
overview is really really simple you are
00:01:14
going to be a backline Caster who is
00:01:15
going to focus on a bunch of debuffs
00:01:18
crowd control as well as Buffs for your
00:01:20
entire team so that way you can
00:01:22
completely decimate any Battlefield
00:01:24
super super easy and you will also be a
00:01:26
skill monkey if you're not familiar with
00:01:28
that term basically you're going to have
00:01:29
efficiency and expertise in so many
00:01:31
different skills that you are going to
00:01:32
be the party's face you're going to be
00:01:34
able to lockpick disarm traps you're
00:01:36
going to be able to do it all with this
00:01:37
build which is super super nice because
00:01:39
it frees up your other party members
00:01:42
needing those proficiencies and you can
00:01:44
just focus all of it on one character

all right so jumping into character

creation this is where the role playing
00:01:49
begins we are going to go with as modius
00:01:50
tling there's a couple other really good
00:01:52
options here if you don't care about the
00:01:54
role playing aspect of it and you just
00:01:55
want to min max and I do suggest either
00:01:57
a get Yankee or a drow those both will
00:01:59
give you access access to some important
00:02:01
racial abilities like Misty step and
00:02:02
darkness and some other features so

those are really nice to have however

we're going as modus tling specifically

because it fits the theme of looking

like a succubus obviously we want to be

a succubus but on top of that you get

hellish rebuke which is a nice spell to

have and it's always just nice to have

in your back pocket but more importantly

we're getting darkness and darkness is a
00:02:21
spell that we are going to utilize in
00:02:23
this build and you'll see later on the

level guide how much we utilize this and

there is other ways to pick up Darkness

but it's nice to pick it up as our
00:02:30
racial feature at level 5 so for our

starting class at level one we are going

to go warlock now you can go Bard if you

want to however because this is It's a
00:02:39
multiclass but it's realistically more
00:02:41
of a dip we're only taking two levels of
00:02:43
warlock I prefer just to get those
00:02:45
levels in warlock out of the way and
00:02:47
then focus on Bard however if you want

to take Bard up to level five or level
00:02:50
six and then switch to warlock you can
00:02:53
but for a thematic standpoint as well as

for a gameplay standpoint I feel that in

my testing it was better better to start

off as a warlock get those two levels in

over and just finish out with Bard okay

theme okay so moving on to spells there

are a lot of spells that you can take

here but the two that I prefer to take

here is going to be hex hex is really

good because it gives you extra damage

it makes people have disadvantage on

whatever check that you want which is

really nice for this build but on top of

that because we're taking eldr splash

eldr splash and hex is a classic combo

eldr Splash is going to give you more

raise as you go up in levels and hex

applies off of each individual instance

of damage that you do do so that will be

really really nice and the other spell

that I'm going to go with is charm

thematically it gives us a little bit

prefer to take fairy fire here now it is

a concentration spell so just be careful

with that and also having hex but fairy

fire is really nice because of the fact

that you can just coat a bunch of

enemies and fairy fire and then your

whole team has advantage on their attack

rolls against them which is super super

nice and super helpful and can really

make a huge difference in a lot of

combat encounters okay moving on to eldr

invocations this is one of the primary

reasons why we are actually going

warlock aside from the theme of being a

succubus but the Elder implications are

huge here so what we're taking is we're
00:05:45
going to take agonizing blast which is
00:05:46
going to add our Charisma modifier to
00:05:48
our Elder's blast which is really really
00:05:50
nice especially like I said before as we
00:05:52
move on to those later levels and start
00:05:54
getting extra rays and we're going to
00:05:56
take devil sight devil sight is going to
00:05:58
be really really important to this this
00:05:59
build because like I said in the
00:06:01
beginning of the video we are going to

be utilizing darkness and if you're not
00:06:05
familiar with the classic combo when you

have devil sight you can cast Darkness
00:06:08
on yourself which means you can still
00:06:10
see in it enemies can't see in the
00:06:12
darkness and they have disadvantage and

range enemies in Ballers gate through

won't even attack you so people have to

come into the darkness and then have
00:06:19
disadvantage but you will be making all
00:06:21
of your attacks with Advantage because

you'll basically be invisible so this is

super super nice it's going to help you

maintain concentration by not being

targeted especially because you're super

squishy and we don't have Constitution

saving throw proficiency but on top of

three now we are going to start taking

featherfall I do believe featherfall is

really really nice to have in your back

pocket and there's a lot of times during

exploration you will come up to points

where just having feather fall and

allowing you to Traverse in a way that

you wouldn't be able to before is really

nice and I've personally done it a lot

especially to skip over certain parts of

maps or areas or avoid walking all the

way around so I think feather fall is

perfect here moving on to level five we

are now College of the Lord Bard and one
00:08:40
of the coolest things that we get at
00:08:42
this level is not only access to second
00:08:43
level spells which is really nice we're
00:08:45
going to go over in a second but we get
00:08:47
cutting words and cutting words is super
00:08:48
super nice what this allows you to do is
00:08:50
to spend a reaction and a BC inspiration
00:08:54
to give a enemy a penalty on their next
00:08:57
ability check attack roll whatever this
00:08:59
is super nice and as a quick tip I will

say to go into your reactions Tab and
00:09:04
put on ask so that way you don't do it
00:09:06
automatically and you can see what the

enemy is doing and then see if you want

to use your barain inspiration on that

if you know they're going for like a big

spell or a big attack then you can use

that and you don't waste it on some

random enemy who's just doing like a

basic attack with a sword in terms of

spells here I'm personally going to take

hold person I think hold person is

really really good for a multitude of

reasons one hold person is incredibly
00:09:27
powerful in of itself can really shut
00:09:29
down one specific enemy and just

absolutely destroy him there's a lot of

humanoid enemies especially in act one
00:09:35
that shutting that person down and
00:09:36
allowing the rest of your party to just
00:09:38
beat on them is super super nice and can
00:09:40
completely turn the tide of a battle but
00:09:43
too it also fits the theme of being a
00:09:44
succubus and having like this entrancing
00:09:47
aura about you so hold person to me is
00:09:49
perfect but again for you to pick

whatever spell you want so another thing

that we get as a college of the lore

Bard is we're going to get access to
