attack we can have disagreements in our

face but it is times like this when

those very freedoms are under threat

that we must stand together United As

Americans who cherish Peace and Freedom

and who love this great
00:01:51
country it's easy to forget times that

our founding fathers also had
00:01:56
disagreements on different things they
00:01:58
debated fierce ly in private and in
00:02:01
public but they came around they came
00:02:03
together around the things that were
00:02:06
most
00:02:07
important and it is our freedom it is
00:02:10
our right to life liberty in the pursuit
00:02:12
of
00:02:14
happiness we're dealing
00:02:16
with an Administration and a government
00:02:20
and an establishment in
00:02:23
Washington that views our freedom as the
00:02:26
greatest threat to their
00:02:28
power and they are willing to do as we
00:02:31
have seen over these last four years

whatever it
00:02:35
takes to hold on to that
00:02:38
power it's a very dangerous mindset when
00:02:42
we have people in positions of power who
00:02:44
view their Authority in their
00:02:47
position as greater than the
00:02:50
Constitution and are so willing to

weaponize and use their levers of power

these public institutions that actually

reformed and exist to serve the greater

public good that exists to serve the
00:03:02
American people they use them as their
00:03:05
own political weapons against their

opponents against the American people

who dare to stand against them or oppose

them or or challenge their positions in

policies this is what is happening in

our country and what's at stake now in

election now I joined the Democratic

party over 20 years ago I was 21 years

years old finding uh looking for a way

to to be of

service and I was running for the state

legislature and I had to pick which

party I was going to be a part of my
00:03:39
parents uh they were not partisan they
00:03:43
focused on issues and voted according to

the issues that were most important to

them and so I didn't have a lineage of
00:03:49
partisan politics that I had any
00:03:52
attachment to when I looked at the
00:03:53
Democratic party at that
00:03:56
time it was still a Democratic party
00:03:59
that was a big open tent that defended

Free Speech even the speech of those who
00:04:06
they may not agree with or speech they
00:04:08
may have found to be appor because they
00:04:10
understood then what remains true today

and what our Founders recognize to be

true is that if this free speech of one

of us is taken away any other person or
00:04:21
group may be

next it was a party that stood up for

the little guy that stood up for civil

liberties that stood up for our right to

privacy and and standing against the

broad overreach of big government into

the most personal parts of our Lives it

was a party that stood up for

peace when you look at that party

today it's completely

unrecognizable it stands for the exact

opposite of every one of those things

that Drew me to what was the party of

party of Martin Luther King

policies that they are pushing stand in

because it is under the control of an
