00:00:00
Hello and welcome to some more Star
00:00:02
Citizen. Today we are going to be
00:00:03
talking about vehicles and ships. I
00:00:06
wanted to talk about what ships CI are
00:00:08
working on now and what they've still
00:00:10
got left to get out of concept and into
00:00:13
our hands. What we can expect over the
00:00:14
next few months since Citizen Con last
00:00:17
year, so October in 2024, CI have
00:00:21
already released a load of stuff. the
00:00:23
Argo CSV SM, the Starancer Max, the
00:00:27
Polaris, that mighty Corvette there, the
00:00:30
Super Hornet M2 and Heartseeker kit for
00:00:33
it, the Anvil Terrapin Medic, the
00:00:36
Misfortune, the Marai Guardian, the Zeus
00:00:39
Mark 2 CL and ES. And with Alpha 4.1,
00:00:43
they've also released the Drake Golem,
00:00:45
and the ATLS Geo, a variant of the ATLS
00:00:49
mech. They're both focused on mining,
00:00:51
which makes sense because they released
00:00:53
what was effectively a mining patch. And
00:00:55
CI have said as part of their monthly
00:00:57
driven patch content, they're going to
00:00:59
be releasing more ships that don't
00:01:01
require new features. So, it's going to
00:01:03
be a lot of combat ships, cargo,
00:01:04
salvage, mining, that sort of stuff of
00:01:06
all sizes, but we may see some other new
00:01:09
features turn up and they will release
00:01:11
ships appropriately with those new
00:01:13
features. That's what it appears to
00:01:15
still be. some other bits and bobs to
00:01:17
get some of this in context. Fleet week
00:01:20
is coming. This is going to be mid to
00:01:21
late May. This is a big military ship,
00:01:25
combat ship event where they also, I
00:01:27
suppose, add on or tack on logistic
00:01:30
ships and vehicles as well. So, there'll
00:01:32
be like a freefly, there'll be an expo
00:01:35
where you can try loads of ships and
00:01:36
vehicles, and there'll be a load of new
00:01:39
ships and vehicles that are largely
00:01:41
focused at combat. They also have things
00:01:44
like the ability to tour a javelin or an
00:01:47
Idris. You'll have the the UE fleet
00:01:49
flying around showing off some of their
00:01:51
military ships as well. And we've had
00:01:53
Bengals before uh being shown off here
00:01:55
as well as a load of the military ships.
00:01:56
So, there could be some much cooler
00:01:58
stuff this year as they've moved into
00:01:59
this monthly patch cadence where they
00:02:01
focus on content. And obviously, day on
00:02:04
day, the game is getting more and more
00:02:06
complete. Let's talk about some of the
00:02:08
ships and vehicles that we know CI are
00:02:10
working on and work out what might turn
00:02:13
up. From the recent monthly report, CI
00:02:15
said the MISK Starancer TAC has moved
00:02:17
into its final development. This ship is
00:02:19
likely going to be coming out at the end
00:02:20
of April or May with Fleet Week in my
00:02:23
opinion and it's the sort of combat
00:02:24
variant of the Starancer Max. The
00:02:27
Apollo, so that medical modular ship
00:02:29
that a lot of people are highly
00:02:30
anticipating, has passed its white box
00:02:32
review gate and has moved into gray box.
00:02:34
So, it's still going to be a while
00:02:35
before it's actually released. And the
00:02:37
RSI Perseus has passed its whitebox
00:02:40
review as well. That was at the start of
00:02:42
March, so it might be a bit further on.
00:02:44
Now, the Perseus, that quite large
00:02:46
brawler ship, it's been teased a bit by
00:02:49
CIG, but I don't think that or the
00:02:51
Apollo are going to be here until maybe
00:02:54
like the Intergalactic Aerospace in
00:02:55
November. Personally, that's the sort of
00:02:57
expectation I have. Or like Citizen Con
00:02:59
or something. Will the Apollo have its
00:03:01
medical drones and tier one medical
00:03:04
modular choices when it's available in
00:03:06
game? Maybe. Depends when it's released.
00:03:08
It doesn't need them immediately, but it
00:03:10
would be good to have them, I suppose.
00:03:12
The Pioneer. So, the consolidated
00:03:13
outland pioneer, that mobile base base
00:03:16
building base that can also build space
00:03:18
stations and a load of other stuff
00:03:20
that's progressed through white box.
00:03:21
It's got to be a bit further out than
00:03:23
everything else. It's sort of like
00:03:24
something that might come out next year
00:03:26
with base building. Mark, that's my
00:03:28
current uh theory on that. There was a
00:03:31
little vagueness in the monthly report
00:03:33
about just how many ships and vehicles
00:03:35
are being worked on at the moment. So,
00:03:37
they said an unannounced vehicle
00:03:39
successfully passed Graybox review. Two
00:03:41
other vehicles received a bug fixing
00:03:43
pass and final content work ahead of
00:03:44
their release. Another new ship is
00:03:46
currently being prepared for its Graybox
00:03:49
Gate review. And then a little bit
00:03:51
later, they go on to say, "Work
00:03:52
continued on three unannounced vehicles.
00:03:54
A variant of a popular ship passed
00:03:56
graybox review. Another variant is
00:03:58
approaching Graybox review, while an
00:04:00
allnew model entered production in
00:04:02
preparation for its white box review in
00:04:05
early April. So that's four to seven
00:04:07
ships that they're currently working on
00:04:09
at varying stages of development. Some
00:04:13
of which, yeah, you can expect to see at
00:04:14
fleet week or end of April, end of May,
00:04:16
that bracket. But also, we've got some
00:04:19
indications of some other stuff that CI
00:04:21
are working on from the recent Star
00:04:23
Citizen live interview with the vehicle
00:04:25
concept team. So, they talked about a
00:04:27
heavy strike fighter based on the Mantis
00:04:30
chassis and we might have seen a sneak
00:04:32
peek of that in the newsletter. So,
00:04:34
there was a newsletter and the caption
00:04:37
for it was prepare for combat. We also
00:04:39
know that CI are working on a really
00:04:41
small salvage ship and a new Krueger
00:04:44
single-seater light fighter, but those
00:04:47
um last two we just mentioned are going
00:04:49
to be much more likely in the concept
00:04:50
phase still or maybe in some level of
00:04:52
white box, but yeah, certainly not too
00:04:55
far into their development. Citizen Con
00:04:58
2954. Other than what we've already
00:05:00
mentioned, we do know that Cloud
00:05:02
Imperium have a few other things that
00:05:04
they were working on and then showed off
00:05:07
during October. This is stuff that is
00:05:09
likely to also be be worked on now. So
00:05:12
this is the Argo CSV FM model. So the
00:05:15
sort of building drone building version.
00:05:18
And we've also got the MISK Starancer
00:05:21
BL. Again, a drone base building uh
00:05:24
version of the Star Lancer.
00:05:27
Interestingly, the Drake Ironclad and
00:05:29
Ironclad Assault. So there's been rumors
00:05:31
and maybe leaks as well suggesting that
00:05:34
this might turn up during fleet week. I
00:05:36
don't know. like it could turn up at
00:05:38
Drake Defense Con at the end of Fleet
00:05:40
Week. I really like that idea. I'm
00:05:42
really really excited by the Ironclad.
00:05:45
So, the standard Ironclad is a really
00:05:47
really armored cargo transport vessel.
00:05:50
Nice big armored freight transport, but
00:05:52
you could also use it as a mobile hanger
00:05:55
or like a a pocket carrier sort of
00:05:57
thing. And then you've got the Ironclad
00:05:59
Assault, which goes, I want to carry a
00:06:02
load of vehicles and repair those
00:06:04
vehicles. have this as sort of like a
00:06:06
mobile assault platform. Really, really
00:06:09
cool ships. Nice and big as well. Is it
00:06:12
possible we could see one of these at
00:06:13
Fleet Week actually in game? It is
00:06:15
possible. It is possible. It could be
00:06:17
one of the things they're talking about,
00:06:18
but I don't know how far it is along in
00:06:22
its development. Uh there's something
00:06:23
else as well. There's rumors of the
00:06:25
Graycat CAV, which is potentially one of
00:06:28
the vehicles they showed during Citizen
00:06:30
Con. Um, people were saying that this
00:06:32
could be like a mobile missile combat
00:06:34
assault vehicle. Suppose they're always
00:06:36
going to be mobile. They've got wheels.
00:06:38
Some people are thinking like it's an
00:06:39
APC or a modular builder or something
00:06:42
like that. There's also something that
00:06:44
looks to be built on the Anvil Ballista
00:06:47
or Centurion chassis, otherwise known as
00:06:50
the Atlas chassis, but not to get
00:06:51
confused with the ATLS. So, it's not not
00:06:53
a mech. Uh, it is a ground vehicle
00:06:55
variant. We think it's going to be like
00:06:56
a armored medical or base building
00:07:00
thing, something like that. Not 100%
00:07:02
sure. I mean, they could be moving into
00:07:04
ground salvage and larger scale mining.
00:07:08
That's also a possibility. We have the
00:07:11
again something that I'm not 100% sure
00:07:13
what this is. A Drake mini Corsair or
00:07:17
sort of stripped down Corsair variant,
00:07:19
something like that. Not 100% sure, but
00:07:22
again, these are things that might turn
00:07:24
up in the next couple of months,
00:07:27
potentially end of April or in fleet
00:07:29
week. Yeah, super excited for stuff like
00:07:31
that. I know a lot of people are like,
00:07:33
where's the 600 ivory work? Where are
00:07:35
the um updated Vandal ships? Um when's
00:07:38
the Idris M/P and Javelin going to be in
00:07:41
players hands? So with the Idris M and P
00:07:43
and Javelin and potentially even
00:07:44
Vandalor ship rework CI have suggested
00:07:47
that's going to be when squadron 42 is
00:07:49
in our hands in 2026 could come out
00:07:51
before that some of that maybe and
00:07:53
obviously we have the itris in game and
00:07:55
the javelin in game to some degree like
00:07:57
the NPCs fly them around. We know
00:07:59
there's a 600i rework that's ongoing.
00:08:02
I'm not sure where they are in that
00:08:04
process. I'm not sure if that's
00:08:05
something we're going to see actually
00:08:06
finished this year or not. It does
00:08:08
depend on priorities and CI have not
00:08:10
hinted at that. But what other ships are
00:08:12
left to actually be completed? There's
00:08:14
not that many from 2012. You could
00:08:17
technically say the Idris M and Idris P.
00:08:19
Yeah, they're sort of kind of in game
00:08:21
the Idris to a degree, but let's sort of
00:08:23
ignore that or or not. It doesn't
00:08:24
matter. I've already mentioned it. 2013
00:08:27
ships from them that still need
00:08:28
completing. Banu Merchantman and RSI
00:08:31
Orion. That Orion is a ridiculously
00:08:33
large strip miner. and the Banning
00:08:35
Merchantmen got canned because they were
00:08:37
working on a chain of RSI ships, which
00:08:39
might mean that the Orion isn't too far
00:08:42
away, but it's going to be like at least
00:08:44
a couple of years for something like
00:08:46
that, right? Potentially Banu Merchant
00:08:48
will become the oldest ship to not be
00:08:51
put into game at that stage. Obviously,
00:08:52
they've got Wiccolo Abanu in game in
00:08:55
4.1. Maybe that's an indicator that
00:08:57
they're going to start working on the
00:08:59
Banu Merchantman with an actual team
00:09:01
until completion. 2014. We have the
00:09:04
Crucible, which is that sort of top tier
00:09:06
repair ship. The Endeavor, which is, I
00:09:08
think, going to be the ship that is
00:09:10
basically added to the game last because
00:09:12
it's such an expansive science ship.
00:09:14
It's so modular. It's got loads going
00:09:15
on. You can have it as a farming ship.
00:09:16
You can have it as a mobile hospital.
00:09:18
You can have it as a literally research
00:09:20
outpost. You've got the Genesis Star
00:09:22
Liner. That's going to be very useful
00:09:24
for transporting NPCs and players from
00:09:27
place to place like a 747. And then
00:09:29
you've got the Javelin, the destroyer.
00:09:31
Super excited to see it whenever they
00:09:33
add it into the game for players to use.
00:09:36
And then 2015, we've got the remaining
00:09:39
Hull series. 2017, the Pioneer.
00:09:42
Obviously, that was um updated and CG
00:09:44
are working on it now. 2018, we had the
00:09:47
Apollo. Again, CI working on that now.
00:09:49
The Kraken, the Privateier as well, was
00:09:51
announced in 2019. But the Kraken 2018,
00:09:54
I'm super excited to see that in the
00:09:55
game because it's a mobile assault
00:09:58
carrier/ space station that people can
00:10:01
land at and rearm, repair, refuel.
00:10:03
Talking about rearm, repair, refuel, the
00:10:05
Vulcan, which looks like Master Chief
00:10:06
from the front, but that's their sort of
00:10:09
dronebased rearm, repair, and refuel
00:10:11
ship that you can kind of change what it
00:10:12
does based on what the drones have on
00:10:14
them at the time. 2019, we've got the
00:10:17
Expanse, which is that refining ship.
00:10:20
We've got the Nautilus as well, which is
00:10:22
that really big mine laying slashmine
00:10:25
diffusing repurposing ship that uses
00:10:28
drones. And then you've got the Tumblr
00:10:30
Rangers, those series of bikes. 2020,
00:10:33
we've got the G12s, the luxury buggies.
00:10:36
2021 got the Liberator, which I'm very
00:10:40
excited for. It's a big transport ship
00:10:43
for transporting vehicles and ships and
00:10:45
troops and looks a bit like a landing
00:10:48
craft. I I absolutely love it. Got the
00:10:50
Odyssey, which is an absolutely massive
00:10:52
exploration ship that can get its own
00:10:54
quantanium. Caused a bit of controversy
00:10:56
when it was added to the game or added
00:10:57
to concept, should I say. Uh because
00:10:59
they went, is this just better than the
00:11:01
Carrick? It's better than the Carrick,
00:11:02
isn't it? And it's sort of different to
00:11:04
the Carrick. And we've also sort of
00:11:05
hinted at during some of the IAEs and
00:11:08
with Jack McCclary and stuff. One day
00:11:10
we'll see the Odyssey in game. You've
00:11:11
got the Railen, which is sort of a
00:11:13
medium
00:11:15
Shien/human hybrid cargo ship. 2022, we
00:11:19
had the Galaxy, which is the modular RSI
00:11:22
ship. Pretty big and can do a load of
00:11:25
different stuff. You've got the
00:11:26
Legionnaire, which is the forcibly
00:11:29
docking ship that latches on to the
00:11:32
docking ports of another ship and then
00:11:34
your marines assault them. Now,
00:11:36
interestingly as well, that was a ship
00:11:39
that C were working on and then went,
00:11:41
"Oh, we got to pause because we haven't
00:11:42
got the gameplay for it properly uh
00:11:44
ready yet." So, it'll be interesting to
00:11:46
see when they actually add that. Uh,
00:11:49
you've got the UTV, which was a Bugly
00:11:52
that they showed during Citizen Con
00:11:54
2022. Got the Spirit E1. That version of
00:11:57
the Spirit, the transport version for
00:12:00
transporting people, um, has yet to be
00:12:03
added. At 2023, we had the Arashtra and
00:12:06
the Zeus M2 MR. They're still waiting
00:12:09
for release dates, though I do think the
00:12:11
Zeus Mark II, the the MR version,
00:12:14
probably not too far away. Uh 2024, we
00:12:17
had the Ironclad and Ironclad Assault.
00:12:19
Super excited to see them in game at
00:12:20
some point. We know that CG are
00:12:22
obviously working on them. You got the
00:12:23
Paladin, that gunship, you got the CSV
00:12:27
FM, which we talked about, the building
00:12:30
version, and then you've got the
00:12:31
Stalancer builds and tack. And that's
00:12:33
it. like they have so many ships in game
00:12:36
and they have completed so many ships.
00:12:38
Yes, there are still some effectively
00:12:40
from 2013, the Bamer and the Orion that
00:12:44
have yet to be put in game and they're
00:12:45
going to be a while. They are genuinely
00:12:47
going to be a while, but you are seeing
00:12:48
more and more ships get into the game
00:12:50
year on year than sort of ever before.
00:12:53
And there's a load of new ones beyond uh
00:12:55
those old concept ones. They are trying
00:12:57
to move away from concepts where
00:12:59
sensible, but obviously it is something
00:13:01
that makes them a load of money. Any
00:13:03
ships that are sort of like concepted
00:13:05
now as it were will likely be worked on
00:13:08
until completion or are going to be a
00:13:10
lot quicker to complete than some of
00:13:13
these older ships, but yeah, you're
00:13:15
still going to see them in game. Uh it
00:13:16
is, you know, disappointing to see some
00:13:18
of them left by the wayside, but they
00:13:21
will get there with them. I'm really
00:13:22
interested to know what you think though
00:13:23
and if we're going to see any of these
00:13:25
in the next year or so and what would
00:13:28
you expect to actually see in game in
00:13:30
players hands. This has been your ship
00:13:32
update. I'm interested to know yeah what
00:13:34
do you think we're going to see during
00:13:35
fleet week? Are you expecting something
00:13:37
in particular? Are we going to see an
00:13:39
ATLS combat suit? That's one of the
00:13:41
other things, right? Cuz they've been
00:13:42
teasing that in game at Wiko's. We know
00:13:45
that they wanted a Titan combat suit, an
00:13:48
ATLS combat suit for Squadron 42 as
00:13:51
well, but it's something that could
00:13:53
genuinely come out during Fleet Week
00:13:56
this year. In fact, that seems very
00:13:58
likely. But what we've seen of teasers
00:14:01
is only sort of like quite derpy ones
00:14:03
compared to the concept. Not that I'm
00:14:05
complaining that much because I haven't
00:14:06
seen one of these Titan suits activated
00:14:08
yet. They're combat ones anyway. And I
00:14:11
sort of like the idea of a shooty mech
00:14:14
on paper. Let's see if it's any good.
00:14:16
These might even just be like silly
00:14:18
little teasers. The military ones might
00:14:20
be a load caller. This one might be like
00:14:22
a civilian one that's been outfitted for
00:14:26
combat and not intended for combat
00:14:28
originally. So, there's a lot going on
00:14:30
there. But I'm really interested to know
00:14:32
what you think and what you're excited
00:14:33
for. And yeah, do you think that's going
00:14:35
to turn up during Fleet Week? What are
00:14:36
your thoughts or questions? Chuck them
00:14:38
in the comments below. A reason to
00:14:39
comment down below is every month we
00:14:41
have a ship giveaway. And this month of
00:14:44
April, we're actually giving away three
00:14:46
different ships to three different
00:14:48
winners. Well, I mean, it's the same
00:14:49
ship to three different winners. It's a
00:14:50
Drake Gollum, the mining ship. It also
00:14:52
comes with lifetime insurance and a game
00:14:54
package. One of those was given to us by
00:14:56
CI. Thank you very much for that. Just
00:14:58
comment on any of my videos made during
00:14:59
the month to be in for a chance of
00:15:01
winning. Also, something that makes you
00:15:03
feel like a winner.
