how high and it really has overwhelmed

yeah sure uh so we've been struggling uh

for a few hours with one of our services

so on flight in 2024 there is few new

systems in in the Sim uh people have

maybe noticed there's you know career

node there's all sorts of missions and

when players at the very beginning when

they start um they are receiving

basically uh they're asking a server uh

for some data and that server is going

to catch it in a

database uh it's a very big database and

there is a cache and that cash uh is

currently getting saturated um so uh

it's a cach that has been thority tested

in the uh during the whole Tech Alpha uh

we've done low tests with 200,000 uh uh

200 simulating 200,000 users and and

tonight it's just completely overwhelmed

services we've uh uh We've uh taken

measures to throttle the number of

people who can come in at the same time

um at some point it reworked pretty well

uh so we increased the throttling uh

basically the the the queue sized by uh

the speed by 5x and it worked well

during maybe half an hour or so and then

all of a sudden the cach collapsed again

uh so we we're restarting we're trying

to investigate um doing our best and and

uh uh going as fast as we can to make

sure everybody who can go in uh so the

the issue that causes is pretty much uh

when that service fails uh it restarts

it retries it retries so first of all

that that creates extremely long initial

loading which is not supposed to be as

long and after a certain time it will

fail if uh if the missing uh data is

blocking uh you will not finish the

loading uh stop at 97% and get a message
