- 00:09:56intelligence algorithm virtual reality
- 00:09:59machine learning all of those latest
- 00:10:02Technologies you've read or heard about
- 00:10:05everywhere you mostly this past year and
- 00:10:08we work for Global clients I'll show you
- 00:10:11some of them later uh who face big
- 00:10:13challenges and are redefining their
- 00:10:15market and industries that's why high
- 00:10:18quality deliveries are our signature
- 00:10:21right that may sound right we are unicor
- 00:10:26that may sound a little bit like magic
- 00:10:27to some of you but uh what does that
- 00:10:31mean right so barev is A1 billion doll
- 00:10:36company it's a huge thing and that would
- 00:10:41be a great achievement by itself but
- 00:10:44there's a little bit more and basically
- 00:10:46that is that we are a bootstrapped
- 00:10:49unicorn that means we've reached this
- 00:10:50level without big external Investments
- 00:10:53or an IPO very few companies have done
- 00:10:57this before and we are very very proud
- 00:11:00to be able to say that we are globally
- 00:11:04one of the largest bootstrap unicorns in
- 00:11:07history and as I mentioned earlier we
- 00:11:10work with some of well known global
- 00:11:15companies that are pretty big right some
- 00:11:17of them um like Google and IBM are very
- 00:11:21well known in the industry but we also
- 00:11:23deliver solutions for various other
- 00:11:25Industries not only technology right and
- 00:11:27that includes retail food
- 00:11:29software as a service and more um here
- 00:11:32for example you can see Burger King
- 00:11:34Panasonic side by side right we have
- 00:11:37eBay uh these showcases our unique
- 00:11:39ability to understand our clients needs
- 00:11:42and find the perfect solution for them
- 00:11:46and since we are a remote first company
- 00:11:49that means that we have the unique
- 00:11:52ability to bring Together High
- 00:11:56performing Tech professionals from all
- 00:11:58over the world
- 00:12:00and breaking down those geographical
- 00:12:01barriers creating truly diverse teams we
- 00:12:05believe that Talent does not
- 00:12:06discriminate and we currently have the
- 00:12:08best tech Talent working from over 600
- 00:12:12different cities in more than 50
- 00:12:14countries as you can see a lot of the
- 00:12:17countries that you guys are from are
- 00:12:20listed here we have people really
- 00:12:23honestly from all around and there's a
- 00:12:25lot of more countries that wouldn't even
- 00:12:27fit the list I wouldn't have enough
- 00:12:29space in the screen to list um but there
- 00:12:32really is places where B Evers can be
- 00:12:35found everywhere so now that you know a
- 00:12:39little bit more about us let's dive
- 00:12:41deeper into our daily work right every
- 00:12:45company has a unique workstyle and a set
- 00:12:47of values that helps synchronize all the
- 00:12:50different teams working on various
- 00:12:52projects right so to navigate buyers
- 00:12:54that work style we'll explore our values
- 00:12:56to understand the behaviors and mindset
- 00:12:58we expect from each members of our teams
- 00:13:02and next we'll discuss we'll discuss
- 00:13:04sorry the qualities and characteristics
- 00:13:06that we look for in professionals who
- 00:13:08join us okay so I hope you're ready to
- 00:13:11begin this so the foremost
- 00:13:15characteristic of a VI that is someone
- 00:13:17who works at virus right that's how we
- 00:13:19call ourselves is the ability to act as
- 00:13:22a problem solver a problem solver is
- 00:13:25basically someone who doesn't get stuck
- 00:13:27when faced with as situation that they
- 00:13:29don't know how to act upon so and they
- 00:13:33will not feel intimidated by it instead
- 00:13:36we see challenges as opportunities to
- 00:13:39learn and to grow using all of our tools
- 00:13:42to find the solutions so if you consider
- 00:13:45yourself a problem solver that's a great
- 00:13:48starting point for
- 00:13:50you and now let's talk about our values
- 00:13:53values are like an agreement between a
- 00:13:55company and its team they help us
- 00:13:58understand what it's expected of us
- 00:14:00which actions and behaviors will be
- 00:14:02valued and which ones won't basically so
- 00:14:06our first value is Excellence actually
- 00:14:09Excellence is not just a value for us
- 00:14:11but our driving motivation every
- 00:14:14decision we make every action we take
- 00:14:17every project we embark on ad buyers Dev
- 00:14:21is fueled by our pursuit of excellence
- 00:14:23and this mindset has been instrumental
- 00:14:26in shaping the company we are today and
- 00:14:29also helping us secure the clients that
- 00:14:31we work with from the beginning we
- 00:14:34recognized that striving for excellence
- 00:14:36would set us apart and Propel us forward
- 00:14:39the second value is customer centricity
- 00:14:43this means that we measure the success
- 00:14:45of our projects by the results they help
- 00:14:48our clients achieve every solution we
- 00:14:51develop at not only meet requirements
- 00:14:54and standards but also bring about
- 00:14:57meaningful and positive changes is in
- 00:14:59our client businesses this requires us
- 00:15:01to listen attentively Del deeper into
- 00:15:04challenges and approach our work with
- 00:15:07empathy then we have teamwork and C
- 00:15:10collaboration as our third value as a
- 00:15:14diverse Global team we leverage every
- 00:15:17available tool we have to share ideas
- 00:15:20and combine our best skills this value
- 00:15:23is foundational because simply hiring
- 00:15:26the best professionals worldwide
- 00:15:29wouldn't be enough if we couldn't Foster
- 00:15:31ways for them to collaborate effectively
- 00:15:34and Thrive together it's all about
- 00:15:36bringing us the bringing the best in us
- 00:15:39right people from different places and
- 00:15:42different backgrounds from different I
- 00:15:45don't know social levels they all have
- 00:15:49experiences in their life that are so
- 00:15:51unique and really help us create and
- 00:15:55Achieve amazing results and lastly as I
- 00:15:58was saying
- 00:15:59talent and diversity are crucial to us
- 00:16:02right working with such a diverse team
- 00:16:04is a privilege and we see ourselves as a
- 00:16:07bridge connecting Talent from around the

- 00:16:15actually true and we aim to be the
- 00:16:17platform that discovers and
- 00:16:19nurtures nurtures it sorry wherever it
- 00:16:24may be found it doesn't matter which
- 00:16:27city or country
- 00:16:30so now let's focus a little bit on the
- 00:16:34characteristics that we look for in
- 00:16:36professionals that will work with us
- 00:16:40right we seek outstanding individuals

- 00:21:40that is readily available to assist you
- 00:21:42you can reach them via live chat on our
- 00:21:44applicant side or through email and
- 00:21:47they're dedicated to guiding you through
- 00:21:50any challenges and ensure a smooth
- 00:21:53application experience our goal
- 00:21:55basically is to make your journey with
- 00:21:57us as seamless and supportive as
- 00:22:00possible from the application stage to
- 00:22:03joining our teams right so now as
- 00:22:07promised here are some golden tips to
- 00:22:11help you navigate our application
- 00:22:13process smoothly and enhance your
- 00:22:16chances of success so the first one it
- 00:22:19says record the video in English what
- 00:22:22are we talking about and one point of
- 00:22:24that very quickly setting up of the
- 00:22:28profile
- 00:22:29we're going to ask you to record a very
- 00:22:32brief video shorter like no longer than
- 00:22:353 minutes to tell you like to tell us a
- 00:22:38little bit more about yourself and help
- 00:22:41us get to know you a little bit better
- 00:22:44you have of course if you're not
- 00:22:45comfortable in English enough to record
- 00:22:47a video you can do it in your own
- 00:22:49language but when recording your video
- 00:22:51English is going to boost your chances
- 00:22:53so speak clearly and confidently as much
- 00:22:56as you can in English this help us
- 00:22:58assess your communication skills which
- 00:23:00are crucial for a remote
- 00:23:02collaboration different positions
- 00:23:04require varying levels of English
- 00:23:07proficiency but an intermediate
- 00:23:10professional level is typically
- 00:23:11sufficient enough for most of our
- 00:23:13openings so don't be shy if you can
- 00:23:16communicate and understand
- 00:23:18satisfactorily just give it a try you
- 00:23:20don't need to sound like a native right
- 00:23:23there's a lot of positions that will not
- 00:23:24require you to have a perfect accent
- 00:23:28then complete as many tests as you can
- 00:23:32on our applicant side you will probably
- 00:23:35see that there's um a lot of options to
- 00:23:38complete key profile booster exams right
- 00:23:43these are tools for candidates to
- 00:23:45demonstrate their abilities and
- 00:23:46Technical knowledge those key profile
- 00:23:49boosters are available orican site
- 00:23:52homepage and they will help us
- 00:23:54understand your personality they are not
- 00:23:56about technical knowledge they're about
- 00:23:58you your workstyle your problem solving
- 00:24:02cap capabilities right your practical
- 00:24:04skills depending on your skills and your
- 00:24:07background specific test may also appear
- 00:24:11on our test lab section all results
- 00:24:14contribute to giving us a comprehensive
- 00:24:16review of your abilities and they will
- 00:24:18help us match you with our openings
- 00:24:22right so those key profile boosters are
- 00:24:25as a name basically say they are key key
- 00:24:29to getting to know you without them it
- 00:24:31would be very hard for us to be able to
- 00:24:34find a good match for you so those are a
- 00:24:37top priority and completing as many as
- 00:24:39you can will really improve your chances
- 00:24:43into getting moving forward into that
- 00:24:45next stage then keep your profile up to
- 00:24:49date of course doesn't have if nothing
- 00:24:52changes there's nothing to update but
- 00:24:54regularly updating in profile with any
- 00:24:56new skills any new certific ation and
- 00:24:59new experience this ensures that we have
- 00:25:01the most accurate and comprehensive view
- 00:25:03of your qualifications and they will
- 00:25:05also help us continuously match your
- 00:25:09profile with our current openings and
- 00:25:11then always check your inbox I know this
- 00:25:14sounds obvious but email is our main
- 00:25:17Communication channel with our
- 00:25:18candidates so stay proactive throughout
- 00:25:20the process by checking your inbox
- 00:25:22regularly this ensures you don't miss
- 00:25:24any important updates or Communications
- 00:25:26from us keeping your application on
- 00:25:29track um the good thing as I said before
- 00:25:33once you apply to virus you apply only
- 00:25:35once and this isn't always on hiring
- 00:25:37process this means that maybe you you
- 00:25:40applied a year ago and at the moment we
- 00:25:43maybe not don't have a specific opening
- 00:25:46that matches your profile and maybe in a
- 00:25:50year one comes up this means that we
- 00:25:53will reach out to you and we will offer
- 00:25:55you the chance to move forward in the
- 00:25:57process so stay stay alert and check
- 00:25:59your inbox for our
- 00:26:01Communications this tips will help you
- 00:26:04navigate our application process
- 00:26:06effectively and maximize your chances of
- 00:26:09securing a position at virus
- 00:26:12step so that's a wrap on the topic that
- 00:26:15was a very brief introduction
- 00:26:18and a little bit of a help and golden
- 00:26:21tips on what things to focus on I'm sure
- 00:26:25that many of you have some questions so
- 00:26:27let's St into Q&A session now feel free
- 00:26:30to ask us any questions in the comments
- 00:26:33uh either on YouTube or LinkedIn streams
- 00:26:35and while waiting for your questions to
- 00:26:37arrive because as I said I know there's
- 00:26:39a little bit of a delay here um I want
- 00:26:42to remind you that we have um provided a
- 00:26:45link in the event description and you
- 00:26:47can also access it through the QR code
- 00:26:49you're seeing on screen right now I'm
- 00:26:50going to see if I can make this bigger
- 00:26:52for you guys there we go
- 00:26:55um so here on this your code or link you
- 00:26:59will find our social media Pages our job
- 00:27:02portals where you can explore all of our
- 00:27:04available openings we have the link to
- 00:27:06our applicant site where you can update
- 00:27:08your profile take those online exams I
- 00:27:11was talking about check your application
- 00:27:13status that is another thing that you
- 00:27:15can check on our applicant side and also
- 00:27:18find the features like the live chat
- 00:27:20support so that if you have any
- 00:27:22questions you can reach out through
- 00:27:24there this Live support is managed by
- 00:27:27our actual beers it's not a chat bot so
- 00:27:31you'll be talking with one of us and
- 00:27:33they will helping you with any issues
- 00:27:34you may have you can also visit our
- 00:27:36website explore our referrals program
- 00:27:39page which is amazing and last but not
- 00:27:42least you will find there our webinar
- 00:27:45survey this webinar survey is super
- 00:27:47important for us because your feedback
- 00:27:49means a lot it takes less than five
- 00:27:52minutes to complete and it will help us
- 00:27:54improve future additions for this
- 00:27:56webinar so now let's move on to the Q&A
- 00:28:00session we have around seven more
- 00:28:02minutes so let's see what we have um I
- 00:28:07have a question from Louise that says if
- 00:28:09you don't pass a test will you be
- 00:28:11informed that you need Improvement in
- 00:28:13this technology well that is exactly the
- 00:28:17thing there is no passing a test because
- 00:28:20we are not like we have so many openings
- 00:28:23they all require different things so
- 00:28:25there's not an actual threshold of a
- 00:28:28approving or failing a test it will just
- 00:28:31give us an idea on where you stand okay
- 00:28:35there will be tests that you will be
- 00:28:38able to retake after a year for example
- 00:28:41so if you I don't know you were taking a
- 00:28:43test about PHP I don't know because
- 00:28:46you're a developer um you will
- 00:28:49score any different grade you might get
- 00:28:52after a year you probably improve your
- 00:28:54skills so you'll be able to retake those
- 00:28:56test and hopefully get a better grade
- 00:29:00that will match you with new openings
- 00:29:03that we might have and that are needing
- 00:29:05those specific levels for those skills
- 00:29:09like English level or uh practical
- 00:29:13skills situational questions that is the
- 00:29:16same you will be able to retake those
- 00:29:19exams after some time uh so keep an eye
- 00:29:23on our applicant side whenever there's
- 00:29:25an availability to retake one of those
- 00:29:27exams you will be notified through that
- 00:29:30and as I said before it's no passing
- 00:29:32because every opening requires different
- 00:29:34results there it's not the same for
- 00:29:36example the level of problem solving
- 00:29:39that we will be expecting from a
- 00:29:41developer that from someone that works
- 00:29:43in marketing or in HR so it's not a
- 00:29:47passing or failing sort of test um
- 00:29:50Jonathan you're asking if English is
- 00:29:52very important as I was saying before
- 00:29:56some level of English is needed because
- 00:30:00we we do have people in over 40
- 00:30:02different countries and not all of us
- 00:30:04speak the same language right I I can
- 00:30:07understand Portuguese for example but if
- 00:30:08I have to speak Portuguese I would be
- 00:30:10failing nobody would understand me and
- 00:30:13if I have to speak with a cooworker that
- 00:30:14lives in Brazil and doesn't speak
- 00:30:16Spanish like I do we need a language to
- 00:30:18communicate and that is where English
- 00:30:20comes into play some positions require a
- 00:30:23higher English level for the tasks they
- 00:30:26will performing like I don't know the
- 00:30:28sales team that talks with American
- 00:30:30companies all the time will probably
- 00:30:32need a higher level of English that
- 00:30:34someone that works in Talent like myself
- 00:30:37and that we use English to communicate
- 00:30:39with our co-workers and potential
- 00:30:41candidates right um so don't be
- 00:30:44discouraged if you feel like your
- 00:30:46English level is not super high an
- 00:30:49intermediate English level or an an
- 00:30:51upper is more than enough for most of
- 00:30:55our
- 00:30:56positions um
- 00:30:58okay so let's see I have another
- 00:31:00question from Juan saying is there a way
- 00:31:02for us to know how our status for
- 00:31:05different applications we may take from
- 00:31:08those working positions wait we may take
- 00:31:12I got a little bit confused there so I I
- 00:31:15assume you're asking how do you know the
- 00:31:16status for the
- 00:31:18different roles you're trying for um and
- 00:31:22as I said before on the applicant side
- 00:31:25you will be able to see um the status on
- 00:31:29each of them but if you have specific
- 00:31:30questions the live chat there will help
- 00:31:32you they will be able to tackle and
- 00:31:34review specifically your situation your
- 00:31:37case and answer any questions you might
- 00:31:41have
- 00:31:42um let's see we have another question
- 00:31:45saying can the video be updated if I
- 00:31:48already applied in the past um as I said
- 00:31:52before yes every usually every year
- 00:31:57that's
- 00:31:58usually the amount of time we give
- 00:32:00people the chance to update uh
- 00:32:02everything they have presented to us
- 00:32:05because in less time than that usually
- 00:32:07there's not much of a change but for
- 00:32:10example English level can improve a lot
- 00:32:12in a year if you're constantly
- 00:32:13practicing right so after one year of
- 00:32:17applying you'll be able to update a lot
- 00:32:19of your
- 00:32:20information
- 00:32:22um louart is asking what is the minimum
- 00:32:24level that we need I assume you're
- 00:32:26talking about English and as I said
- 00:32:29intermediate
- 00:32:30upper it is usually the standard um
- 00:32:35because it we need to be able to
- 00:32:37communicate at in a written way and in a
- 00:32:41meeting for example in Zoom with our
- 00:32:44co-workers uh Patrick you're asking if
- 00:32:46we have a training program for which we
- 00:32:48may not have enough skills
- 00:32:51um I don't know if you're talking before
- 00:32:54joining or after joining the company so
- 00:32:58before joining we don't offer like um
- 00:33:01internships or things like that but for
- 00:33:05whenever someone joins the company we do
- 00:33:07offer uh the possibility of for example
- 00:33:10taking English classes if needed there
- 00:33:14is a lot of programs about improving
- 00:33:16skills taking courses um our HR team is
- 00:33:20really devoted to up like making the
- 00:33:25best of our endeavors uh so there's a
- 00:33:28lot of opportunities for getting better
- 00:33:31at whatever we might need for our role
- 00:33:33or for roles that we want to pursue in
- 00:33:34the
- 00:33:35future Lucan you're asking how many
- 00:33:38times does it take to contact a
- 00:33:39candidate that received a positive
- 00:33:41feedback in the first phe uh I assume
- 00:33:45you're talking uh whenever someone
- 00:33:48finishes all that in the applicant side
- 00:33:51and if it does match one of our openings
- 00:33:53how long it takes usually
- 00:33:56between a few days and maybe two week
- 00:33:59stops uh we try to do it as fast as
- 00:34:01possible but we do process a lot of
- 00:34:04applications per year we have over two
- 00:34:06million and I know it sounds like a fake
- 00:34:09number but it's true we have over two
- 00:34:11million applications a year so we try to
- 00:34:14process it as fast as we can uh we have
- 00:34:17a lot of tools that help us with this
- 00:34:18but it might take up to two weeks um but
- 00:34:23as I said before if for example you
- 00:34:25complete everything on our applicant
- 00:34:27side and we don't reach out it's not
- 00:34:30that you failed necessarily it just
- 00:34:32means that right now maybe there's not
- 00:34:35an opening that matches your profile but
- 00:34:37does not mean that we will never have
- 00:34:39one I always H speak about one of the
- 00:34:42girls that I had on my team she's no
- 00:34:44longer with us because she went on to
- 00:34:46pursue one of her dream jobs in the past
- 00:34:50um but she applied to
- 00:34:54us that's a turned off sorry uh so so
- 00:34:57she applied and uh she was discouraged
- 00:35:01At first she was like oh I really want
- 00:35:03to work for this company but they're not
- 00:35:04calling me back and she did a she
- 00:35:06started a process and it didn't work out
- 00:35:09because it was not really the role for
- 00:35:10her until a year after she originally
- 00:35:13applied we found her role and she joined
- 00:35:16our team my team and she was excited and
- 00:35:19she was amazing at her job and she
- 00:35:21stayed with us for almost two years and
- 00:35:23it gave her the opportunity to then
- 00:35:25pursue her C dream job that you have
- 00:35:29been wanted to do with Red Cross for a
- 00:35:32really long time so don't be discouraged
- 00:35:34even if it might mean waiting a little
- 00:35:38bit more than what we would want um and
- 00:35:42we are running out of times I'm going to
- 00:35:44pick one last question uh from Marco
- 00:35:48saying can you please comment on the
- 00:35:49type of contracts long-term full-time
- 00:35:51part time by project and we offer
- 00:35:56long-term contract for all of our
- 00:35:58employees we don't hire by project right
- 00:36:02um this means that everybody that joins
- 00:36:04virus has an contract for an indefinite
- 00:36:07period of time it's usually full-time
- 00:36:10there I I'm not sure because I don't
- 00:36:13manage the actual openings um part-time
- 00:36:17roles are not super common so most of
- 00:36:20our roles are fulltime and longterm for
- 00:36:24people that don't work like we have two
- 00:36:26types of roles of course those that work
- 00:36:28for VAR like myself and people that work
- 00:36:31with us and support our client projects
- 00:36:34so for those that support our client
- 00:36:35projects whenever a project ends they
- 00:36:38will join a special group of people that
- 00:36:41will start helping with other tasks
- 00:36:43while we're looking for new projects to
- 00:36:45assign them to right so it's not like if
- 00:36:47the project ends then the contract
- 00:36:49finishes no you will keep working with
- 00:36:51us and we will start moving everything
- 00:36:54around to find a new project to assign
- 00:36:56that person to
- 00:36:58um so that's
- 00:37:00it thank you so much for joining we went
- 00:37:03a little bit over time uh so if you want
- 00:37:06to know as I said before the status of
- 00:37:08your application please go to our
- 00:37:10applicant site look for our live chat
- 00:37:12feature if you want to check all of our
- 00:37:14available openings do not hesitate to
- 00:37:16check our job portals and last but not
- 00:37:20least as I said before we want to hear
- 00:37:21your opinion so really fill out win our
- 00:37:24survey it will help us with a lot of
- 00:37:26information thank you once again for
- 00:37:29joining us today it was amazing talking
- 00:37:32with all of you and we'll meet on next
- 00:37:36month have an amazing Thursday and an
- 00:37:38amazing weekend everybody
