00:00:00
So, a lot of people don't know this, but
00:00:01
YouTube ad revenue or whatever the
00:00:03
platform's ad revenue is not the only
00:00:05
way to make money from social media
00:00:07
nowadays. There's another method that
00:00:08
most people call music royalties to make
00:00:11
money. And this doesn't just apply to
00:00:12
YouTube. This can apply to a bunch of
00:00:14
different social media platforms. And
00:00:16
since I started doing this on my
00:00:18
faceless channels, I've made over 40
00:00:20
grand. And this is a combination by how
00:00:22
much I've earned from YouTube, which is
00:00:23
this 40 grand right here, and how much
00:00:25
I've earned from other platforms on
00:00:27
non-faceless channels, which probably
00:00:29
equates to around maybe 1 or two grand
00:00:31
for that. And just to be clear, a lot of
00:00:33
the earnings on this did come from one
00:00:35
of my co-founders channel, to which I
00:00:36
was only entitled to half of the revenue
00:00:38
from this, but I was entitled to the
00:00:40
full revenue from this channel and this
00:00:41
channel and all the channels below. Now,
00:00:43
the first thing to understand before
00:00:45
even trying to make money from this is
00:00:46
what is music royalties? And basically
00:00:49
what it refers to when people are
00:00:50
talking about music royalties with
00:00:52
social media is just a way to earn extra
00:00:54
money by adding certain songs onto the
00:00:56
videos that you use. And I'm going to
00:00:57
explain how all of this works and where
00:00:59
the money is actually coming from and
00:01:00
how you can do it yourself in this
00:01:02
video. Now, the first way and the most
00:01:03
known way by far right now is through
00:01:05
YouTube music royalties. Now, there are
00:01:07
a lot of companies that do this. The one
00:01:09
I work with is called Blastoff and yeah,
00:01:11
they basically have a whole library of
00:01:13
songs that you can use to put on your
00:01:16
YouTube videos. And as long as you
00:01:17
connect your channel, it literally will
00:01:19
just automatically track the videos that
00:01:21
you post with that song and pay you per
00:01:23
thousand views. Now, this is their new
00:01:25
dashboard right here. So, if you want to
00:01:26
join Blastoff, I'll leave this in the
00:01:28
description, but basically, it shows how
00:01:30
much money you're making. And when it
00:01:31
loads in, it'll also show the RPM and
00:01:33
all the stats like that. Now, they
00:01:34
haven't imported the old data yet from
00:01:36
our old Blastoff dashboard. So, I'm not
00:01:38
going to be able to show you that on
00:01:39
this, but essentially, you get paid a
00:01:40
straight RPM or a certain amount per
00:01:43
thousand views that you get for just
00:01:44
playing these songs. Now, if I go to
00:01:46
this graph, you'll notice something,
00:01:47
which is that there was a pretty sharp
00:01:49
drop off right here when March started.
00:01:52
So, right here, February 28th, we were
00:01:53
getting 1.2 million views, and that made
00:01:55
us $213.
00:01:57
But then the day right after, even
00:01:59
though we got way more views, we made
00:02:00
way less money. And that's simply
00:02:02
because on March, YouTube decided to
00:02:04
purge music royalties and didn't allow
00:02:06
you to make as much money as they once
00:02:08
allowed you to do. So, yeah, since
00:02:10
March, it has been across the board all
00:02:12
music royalty platforms have been hit by
00:02:14
this. But that being said, the RPM still
00:02:16
isn't terrible. So, for example, if I
00:02:17
filter to just the dates after March
00:02:20
1st, you can see on our channel stories
00:02:22
told, we were still getting a 5 cent
00:02:24
RPM. Now, obviously, that's not a lot of
00:02:26
money. But, if you're going to get 4
00:02:28
million views, that's still an extra
00:02:30
$200. And if you're going to be putting
00:02:32
a song on anyway, you may as well add a
00:02:33
song that's going to make you money
00:02:35
compared to songs that don't make you
00:02:36
money. And once again, this is just for
00:02:38
YouTube. So, I'll show you how to set
00:02:39
this up and then I'm going to show you
00:02:40
how you can earn on other platforms like
00:02:42
Instagram or Tik Tok. Now, for Blastoff,
00:02:44
all you have to do is go to the first
00:02:46
link in the description and then just
00:02:47
create an account. Now, I think it's
00:02:48
pretty easy to just sign in with Google.
00:02:50
So, that's what I would do. And then
00:02:51
once you create an account, you'll see
00:02:53
something like this. Now, I actually do
00:02:54
recommend just watching their tutorial
00:02:56
because they show exactly how to get
00:02:58
signed on and exactly how their
00:02:59
dashboard works and everything like
00:03:00
that. But basically, you're just going
00:03:02
to connect your YouTube channel and then
00:03:03
it'll get automatically approved within
00:03:05
like 24 hours, I think. And then when
00:03:07
you're ready to post on YouTube, you
00:03:09
just go to music library and you can
00:03:10
look through all the tracks and all the
00:03:12
different genres they have. So, for
00:03:13
example, let's go to one of their funk
00:03:15
songs because this is a pretty trending
00:03:17
genre right now. So, let's play the song
00:03:19
here and see what it sounds like.
00:03:23
And I'm sure you guys know this song.
00:03:30
Now, obviously, they do have to remix it
00:03:32
a bit so that they don't get
00:03:33
copyrighted, but this is pretty much the
00:03:34
same exact song and you can use it. and
00:03:36
now earn extra money from the videos
00:03:38
that you upload rather than not earning
00:03:40
that money at all from YouTube. But
00:03:41
that's just earning extra money from
00:03:43
YouTube. And by the way, when it comes
00:03:44
to RPMs, I've been in talks with the
00:03:47
actual founders of Blastoff. That's
00:03:49
right, the actual guy right here who
00:03:50
made this tutorial video and who owns
00:03:52
Blastoff Media. But yeah, they're great.
00:03:54
The founder is super chill. And
00:03:56
honestly, when I look for companies that
00:03:57
I work with, that's one of the core
00:03:58
things when the founder of the company
00:04:00
themselves will be very chill and be
00:04:02
very open to negotiation and open to new
00:04:05
ideas. That's another pretty important
00:04:06
one. And so Connor right here definitely
00:04:08
is and big fan of the people at
00:04:10
Blastoffs. So once again, we can give
00:04:11
them a thank you for bringing this to us
00:04:13
and letting us earn extra money from
00:04:15
this. But again, that was the first
00:04:17
method and that is just for YouTube. So
00:04:19
now I'm going to show you how to earn
00:04:20
money on music royalties on Instagram,
00:04:23
Tik Tok, and sometimes even Twitter. And
00:04:25
just in case you were confused about
00:04:26
like, okay, well, where is this money
00:04:27
for the YouTube music royalties actually
00:04:29
coming from? Let me just explain it with
00:04:31
this pretty simple graph. Basically,
00:04:33
normally, right, all these ads are
00:04:35
played on YouTube short and YouTube has
00:04:36
a big pool to distribute out that money
00:04:39
to both creators and to musicians. And
00:04:41
the way YouTube does it is they have one
00:04:43
pool dedicated for creators and one pool
00:04:45
dedicated for musicians out of this
00:04:47
pool. And so, as a creator, you're just
00:04:49
paid for the share of views that you get
00:04:51
from the total creator pool, but there's
00:04:53
no way normally for you to tap into the
00:04:55
music pool. And obviously, the musicians
00:04:57
are just paid based on their share of
00:04:59
views from the music pool. Now, that's
00:05:00
what a scenario looks like without music
00:05:02
royalties. Now, with music royalties on
00:05:04
YouTube, the way that this actually
00:05:05
works is is the ad revenue comes in the
00:05:07
same. There's still the same creator
00:05:09
pool in the music pool. And then
00:05:10
typically, you would still get paid from
00:05:12
the creator pool based on your share of
00:05:13
views. But what happens is a music
00:05:15
company like Blastoff comes in. And when
00:05:18
you use their song, you're helping them
00:05:19
get extra views on their music, which is
00:05:22
making them more money cuz now they have
00:05:23
a higher share of views from the music
00:05:25
pool. And so then they split the extra
00:05:27
money that they get from these views.
00:05:29
50% to them, 50% to you. So, it's pretty
00:05:32
fair. Just for using their song, you're
00:05:34
getting some out of it and they're
00:05:35
getting some out of it. And everyone as
00:05:37
a whole is making more money. So, yeah.
00:05:39
But now, as promised, I'm going to show
00:05:40
you guys how you can also start making
00:05:42
money from music royalties on Instagram,
00:05:44
Tik Tok, and sometimes even Twitter.
00:05:47
Now, the way to do this is through
00:05:48
something called So, the link to
00:05:49
will also be in the description of
00:05:51
this video. Once again, it's as easy as
00:05:54
just going to the link in the
00:05:55
description, putting in your email, or
00:05:57
just signing in with Google. I think
00:05:58
signing in with Google is easier. So, by
00:06:00
the way, they updated their site. So
00:06:01
stuff is for some reason a lot harder to
00:06:03
find right now than it used to be. I
00:06:04
don't know why they made this update.
00:06:06
But basically what you would normally do
00:06:08
in the past is you'd go to things that
00:06:10
are called content rewards. So let me
00:06:11
show you an example of what one of these
00:06:13
would look like. It would look like
00:06:14
this. Lil Tekka clipping content
00:06:16
rewards. And you can see the budget is
00:06:18
already full. So they've already paid
00:06:19
out for this. But essentially these
00:06:21
campaigns would just set their own RPM
00:06:23
and would pay you to promote songs. So,
00:06:26
notice how this is different from the
00:06:27
YouTube way of earning music royalties
00:06:29
because with YouTube, you're just
00:06:30
helping music companies get a higher
00:06:33
share of the music pool revenue, but
00:06:35
with you're actually trying to
00:06:37
promote a song. So, for example, here's
00:06:39
one of the campaigns I entered with the
00:06:41
Lil Tekka Awa clipping budget. And all
00:06:44
they would require you to do is post a
00:06:46
video using the audio. So, that's
00:06:47
literally all we did. I would post some
00:06:49
of my juggling videos with the audio on.
00:06:52
And you can see right here, this one
00:06:53
generated 62,000 views, which paid me
00:06:55
out $15. And that's because this was
00:06:58
paying 25 cents per thousand views. So I
00:07:00
had ones like this where I made like
00:07:02
$175 from a single upload. And if you're
00:07:04
just adding music here and there to a
00:07:06
bunch of videos that you upload,
00:07:08
especially with RPMs as high as 25 cents
00:07:10
per thousand views, you just get to make
00:07:11
a bunch of extra money from the post
00:07:13
that you were doing. Anyway, now you can
00:07:14
see with this campaign right here, it
00:07:16
was on Tik Tok. But some of them are
00:07:18
also open to Instagram or even YouTube.
00:07:20
So sometimes you can even make money
00:07:22
from posting stuff like that on YouTube
00:07:23
or even Twitter. And all you really have
00:07:25
to do to submit to this is just click on
00:07:27
submit right here, put in the link, and
00:07:29
then put in the media of the video that
00:07:31
you actually uploaded. And that's pretty
00:07:33
much it. It's going to ask you to
00:07:34
connect your channel and confirm that
00:07:36
it's yours. And once you connect it,
00:07:37
you're pretty much good to go. Now, in
00:07:39
terms of actually finding these
00:07:40
campaigns, again, I don't know why
00:07:42
they're actually so hard to find. Now, I
00:07:44
think the way you go about it now is you
00:07:46
go to marketplace and you look at
00:07:48
monetize WOPS. And you can see here, all
00:07:50
of these different wops right here are
00:07:52
paying for clipping. So, for example,
00:07:54
this one's paying $3 per thousand views.
00:07:56
This one's paying $150 per thousand
00:07:58
views. But they made it really hard to
00:08:00
be able to tell which are actually
00:08:02
coming from music and which are not. So,
00:08:04
here we go. We can see another Lil Tekk
00:08:05
one right here that says post clips with
00:08:07
Lil Tekk's newest music. If I go to this
00:08:09
one again, you can see here, this is the
00:08:11
one I entered before. And so, that's
00:08:12
kind of how you have to go about sniping
00:08:14
campaigns. Now, they used to have a way
00:08:16
where you could literally sort it by the
00:08:17
category and sort it by music to find
00:08:20
content rewards that would pay you just
00:08:22
for putting music. But now you have to
00:08:24
be a little bit more specific with the
00:08:25
way you try to snipe things. So, that's
00:08:27
a little bit annoying. But yeah, that's
00:08:29
essentially one of the main ways that I
00:08:30
made money on Now, obviously, not
00:08:32
all of this was from music royalties. I
00:08:34
also entered some of WOP's campaigns and
00:08:36
some other stuff. But yeah, I mean, I
00:08:38
probably made close to a grand, maybe
00:08:40
even more from just music royalties on
00:08:42
So, that's a bunch of nice extra
00:08:44
money without really having to do that
00:08:46
much. So, yeah, with that being said,
00:08:47
that's like the full landscape right now
00:08:49
of how to make extra money on social
00:08:50
media from music royalties. Again, if
00:08:52
you're already posting videos anyway,
00:08:54
this is just a pretty easy way to make
00:08:56
extra money from the money that you're
00:08:57
already making. So, I definitely would
00:08:59
recommend it. There's pretty much no
00:09:00
reason not to. And yeah, if you guys
00:09:02
don't know my mission with this channel,
00:09:03
it's full transparency. So, in this
00:09:05
video, I showed you guys like my exact
00:09:07
earnings and the exact methods that I
00:09:09
use to make money through this rather
00:09:11
than like gatekeeping it for myself. And
00:09:12
that's really the core mission I have
00:09:14
with this channel because when I came
00:09:15
into the make money online space, it was
00:09:17
super broken and so I'm doing everything
00:09:18
I can to try to fix it. And so, if you
00:09:20
appreciate what I'm doing here, there's
00:09:22
three ways you can support me. One,
00:09:24
leave a like on this video and
00:09:25
subscribe. That's pretty easy. Two, join
00:09:27
my free Discord in the description,
00:09:28
which now is pushing to 19,000 members,
00:09:31
which is crazy. and literally go into
00:09:32
this Discord and drop your best
00:09:34
money-making sauce. That's really one of
00:09:35
the best ways to contribute to my
00:09:37
mission. And three, if you're looking
00:09:38
yourself for ways to make money online,
00:09:40
you can join my free academy with actual
00:09:43
transparent creators showing different
00:09:45
ways that they've made money online,
00:09:46
which you can find in the description,
00:09:48
or also by looking up moneyacademy.io.
00:09:51
It should be fully out by the time this
00:09:52
video is finished, but if it's not, you
00:09:54
can just join the wait list. And in
00:09:55
fact, a lot of my courses that have been
00:09:57
posted on YouTube will be in Moneymind
00:09:59
Academy, but with some scenes that I
00:10:01
didn't put in on my YouTube videos. So,
00:10:02
if you want those extra bonus scenes
00:10:04
just from me, you can join completely
00:10:06
for free at moneymindacademy.io.
00:10:08
As always, thank you guys all so much
00:10:09
for watching. I'll catch you all in the
00:10:11
next video and peace.
