- 00:00:00in the last 18 months I've grown my
- 00:00:02personal brand to over 3 million
- 00:00:04followers across all platforms and in
- 00:00:06this video I'm going to share the five
- 00:00:08simple rules of content creation that I
- 00:00:10use to go from zero audience to getting
- 00:00:13over 100 million views a month today
- 00:00:15rule number one build your collection
- 00:00:17when I started reading a book that just
- 00:00:19transformed my life was thinking Grow
- 00:00:21Rich so what I did is I found the 200
- 00:00:24plus books that influenced that author
- 00:00:27and read those ones so I could add to my
- 00:00:29collection of knowledge you need to go
- 00:00:32that detailed in your Niche new wisdom
- 00:00:35grows from ancient Roots which means
- 00:00:36there's nothing new everything is a
- 00:00:39remix based on historical best practices
- 00:00:41in many ways a lot of the modern-day
- 00:00:43philosophy came from the Bible or
- 00:00:45stoicism or even poetry and if you want
- 00:00:48to be world classic creating content you
- 00:00:50have to go back to build your collection
- 00:00:53I want to share with you the five
- 00:00:54formats of collection that I use every
- 00:00:56day number one is books this is
- 00:00:57essentially what I'm learning in real
- 00:00:59time as I'm studying books not just
- 00:01:01reading them I'm writing the passages
- 00:01:03down in a Note file I'm rewriting them
- 00:01:05in my words I'm integrating them into my
- 00:01:08life because I'm trying to really become
- 00:01:10one with the knowledge that I'm
- 00:01:11acquiring from the books number two is
- 00:01:13the questions I'm being asked think
- 00:01:15about it what are people asking you
- 00:01:17those questions should give you insights
- 00:01:19into what you know about and helps you
- 00:01:21try out and test different concepts
- 00:01:23different insights different ways of
- 00:01:25teaching other people number three is
- 00:01:27observation what I see in my family my
- 00:01:29friends people around me I believe the
- 00:01:31world will show you where you're not
- 00:01:33free things that frustrate you so that
- 00:01:35you can use that as content to teach
- 00:01:38other people there's a reason why when
- 00:01:39you see somebody do something that you
- 00:01:41don't agree with that it resonates with
- 00:01:43you because it's actually meant for you
- 00:01:44to take that moment and share with other
- 00:01:47people not the person that did it how
- 00:01:49you would have done it differently and
- 00:01:50it comes with the feeling that other
- 00:01:52people feel number four top content now
- 00:01:56I know this sounds crazy but I spend
- 00:01:57hours a day scrolling on Tik Tok to be
- 00:01:59in inspired by other people to see what
- 00:02:02the world is excited about what are the
- 00:02:04trends what are the ideas going on in
- 00:02:06culture I mean the other reason I do it
- 00:02:08is because I want to bathe in the
- 00:02:10language of the industry I'm in I want
- 00:02:12to study the best if you're not
- 00:02:14unfollowing all the ding-dongs on the
- 00:02:16social and then resubscribing to the
- 00:02:18people that are talking about your
- 00:02:19industry then you're missing
- 00:02:21opportunities to use social as a way to
- 00:02:23teach yourself the way I like to think
- 00:02:24about it is you want to use your feed to
- 00:02:25feed your mind number five I think about
- 00:02:28the young me what I needed earlier in my
- 00:02:30life what are the beliefs I had the
- 00:02:32thoughts I had the meaning I Associated
- 00:02:34different circumstances earlier on and
- 00:02:36how did I overcome them because those
- 00:02:38lessons learn are what made you who you
- 00:02:40are it's a thing that people are going
- 00:02:42to resonate the most with so you have to
- 00:02:44share them too often people don't want
- 00:02:45to talk about the things they went
- 00:02:46through that were hard but I believe
- 00:02:48you're actually best equipped to help
- 00:02:50those people that you once were and it's
- 00:02:52why you went through those circumstances
- 00:02:54so use those old stories of young
- 00:02:56version of you to help people today now
- 00:02:58that you've got your collection of ideas
- 00:02:59is I'm going to show you how to feed it
- 00:03:01into a Content creation flywheel if you
- 00:03:04want to see how this flywheel plays out
- 00:03:05in my videos that reach Millions every
- 00:03:07week hit subscribe rule number two the
- 00:03:10content creation flywheel now when we
- 00:03:12start we have to do everything because
- 00:03:15there's nobody else to delegate to but
- 00:03:17as you grow and you build your content
- 00:03:19you want to focus on your zone of Genius
- 00:03:21you want to focus on the thing that only
- 00:03:22you can do especially as it pertains
- 00:03:24your personal branding creating content
- 00:03:26if you have an energy of frustration
- 00:03:28creating the content Trust me it'll be
- 00:03:30felt from your viewer I love this fun
- 00:03:32quote by Peter Ducker he said do what
- 00:03:34you do best and Outsource the rest I
- 00:03:36want you to be the talent not the doer
- 00:03:39you might have to at the beginning but
- 00:03:40as fast as you can hire somebody to
- 00:03:42record or edit your videos or review the
- 00:03:44first drafts of your blog post so that
- 00:03:46you can just do the creation part and
- 00:03:48none of the other stuff that take away
- 00:03:50from the energy of creating this is the
- 00:03:51content creation flywheel number one is
- 00:03:54you want to collect you want to take all
- 00:03:55the ideas we were talking about earlier
- 00:03:57and put them in different places where
- 00:03:58you can review them to be inputs to your
- 00:04:01creative process step two is to create
- 00:04:04now this is how I wake up and I start my
- 00:04:06days I call it my creative process I
- 00:04:08create connected to my Creator and I
- 00:04:10review all of the different ideas and I
- 00:04:12think of outlines for videos I want to
- 00:04:14create or tweets I want to write or even
- 00:04:16my book writing all my time writing my
- 00:04:18books are done in the morning because
- 00:04:20those are my creation blocks that's when
- 00:04:21I feel most align with the universe and
- 00:04:24what God's got for me and I just pour it
- 00:04:26into my content because it feels perfect
- 00:04:29those ear early morning times when my
- 00:04:31brain is freshh and I have what I call
- 00:04:32the ability to pull vocabulary allows me
- 00:04:35to come up and be inspired by ideas and
- 00:04:38situations and really add some depth to
- 00:04:40the content I'm creating number three is
- 00:04:42teach and this is about finding
- 00:04:44opportunities to teach because some of
- 00:04:46you may not have a platform yet but you
- 00:04:48want to get better at telling stories
- 00:04:50and teaching Concepts so I would say
- 00:04:52look around you it might be offering to
- 00:04:54do some team training your coaching
- 00:04:56calls with clients maybe it could be
- 00:04:58offering to be on other people's stage
- 00:04:59stages both virtual and in person like
- 00:05:01podcasts or speaking at local business
- 00:05:03associations or even offering to do
- 00:05:06interviews for other people that they're
- 00:05:07creating content because then you'll be
- 00:05:09prompted to tell stories you can even
- 00:05:11create other situations to teach I'm a
- 00:05:14big fan of creating containers where you
- 00:05:16have to teach so for example I have this
- 00:05:18program called Kings Club where I have
- 00:05:19the privilege of mentoring 15 to
- 00:05:2120-year-old young men and I talk about
- 00:05:23success and I draw out models and I tell
- 00:05:25stories and I get to revisit past
- 00:05:27stories of who I was and reflect on them
- 00:05:30and use those moments to share and teach
- 00:05:32other young men to be inspired to be
- 00:05:33more successful the goal is to spend as
- 00:05:35much time as you can in this flywheel as
- 00:05:37possible but the big idea is that as
- 00:05:39you're buying back your time you got to
- 00:05:41make sure it stays sold so if you hire
- 00:05:42an editor Let Them edit if you hire
- 00:05:44somebody to post on your social media
- 00:05:46let them post give them Corrections if
- 00:05:48they do it wrong but don't take the job
- 00:05:50back from them just because it wasn't
- 00:05:51done exactly the way you want it done
- 00:05:53but there's a big problem that so many
- 00:05:56people fall into and it's mindlessly
- 00:05:58copying other people which brings us to
- 00:06:00rule number three be 100% you I believe
- 00:06:03everybody's a unique fingerprint when I
- 00:06:05was 17 I found myself in prison and
- 00:06:07eventually released the rehab and I
- 00:06:09didn't share that story for 15 years the
- 00:06:11reason why I had a lot of Shame and fear
- 00:06:13and concern that if people found out
- 00:06:15they wouldn't think very highly of me it
- 00:06:17turns out the first time 10 years ago
- 00:06:19that I ever shared that story with
- 00:06:21anybody including my fiance now my wife
- 00:06:23did not know every person that came up
- 00:06:25to me after hearing that said I now feel
- 00:06:27connected to you I feel like I
- 00:06:29understand understand you I feel closer
- 00:06:30to you and it occurred to me that the
- 00:06:32worst thing that I ever went through
- 00:06:34could be the most powerful thing I have
- 00:06:36to help other people which is my story
- 00:06:37and I believe that if you have friends
- 00:06:40that know you like really know you and
- 00:06:42like you that who you are is the most
- 00:06:44unique thing you've got and allowing
- 00:06:47yourself to be that person 100% you is
- 00:06:50what makes you interesting a lot of the
- 00:06:53people you admire The Joe Rogan The Rock
- 00:06:55Oprah Lady Gaga post Malone jelly roll
- 00:06:58what you love about them is that they
- 00:07:01are 100% themselves they are so
- 00:07:03authentic the good the bad the
- 00:07:05indifferent the conflict the Kryptonite
- 00:07:08and the superpower all those things make
- 00:07:10them who they are so how do you figure
- 00:07:12that for yourself number one I always
- 00:07:14talk about the struggle what did you go
- 00:07:16through that you struggled with that in
- 00:07:18that moment of trying to figure it out
- 00:07:20it allowed you to transform to be the
- 00:07:22person that's here today teaching those
- 00:07:24stories you have it's what makes you not
- 00:07:26only unique but gives you the
- 00:07:28opportunity to transform other people
- 00:07:29lives nobody's going to change unless
- 00:07:31you inspire them and if you want to help
- 00:07:33people if the people you love the most
- 00:07:34you want to help change and transform
- 00:07:36then you have to be willing to Bear your
- 00:07:38soul you have to be willing to share
- 00:07:40stories that feel a little uncomfortable
- 00:07:42so what I like to do is I like to
- 00:07:43combine my teaching with unique stories
- 00:07:46I like to ask myself when did I learn
- 00:07:48this what beliefs did I have about that
- 00:07:50thing that changed and how did that
- 00:07:52impact me getting good at the stuff that
- 00:07:54I learned and using your unique story
- 00:07:57ends up being the glue the vehicle for
- 00:08:00change in the people listening to you
- 00:08:02have you ever been in an audience and
- 00:08:03you see somebody on stage and they're
- 00:08:04talking about being successful and
- 00:08:06you're like what have you even done what
- 00:08:08challenges have you ever faced you look
- 00:08:09like you were born into the lucky
- 00:08:11whatever Club you just don't trust them
- 00:08:13it's because they weren't willing to
- 00:08:14tell you about their Journey they're not
- 00:08:16willing to be honest about their
- 00:08:18struggles they're not willing to be
- 00:08:19honest about their setbacks and you're
- 00:08:21sitting there going you don't get me the
- 00:08:23worst part is you teaching other people
- 00:08:25and actually being just like them and
- 00:08:27them not feeling that because you
- 00:08:29weren't willing to be 100% you
- 00:08:30authenticity means being 100% you on and
- 00:08:33off camera all your quirks like for me
- 00:08:36heavy on the protein pretty jokey very
- 00:08:38supportive to my friends I like to give
- 00:08:40a lot of myself I don't take myself too
- 00:08:41seriously I try to give all of it the
- 00:08:44high energy the low energy the emotion
- 00:08:46I'm an emotional person if I watch a
- 00:08:48video of a sad situation I usually tear
- 00:08:50up and I have no problems doing that on
- 00:08:52and off camera because it's who I am and
- 00:08:54if that frustrates you or you judge me
- 00:08:55for that cool go find somebody else to
- 00:08:57follow every person that you admire does
- 00:09:01this the more you learn to be yourself
- 00:09:03on camera the more you will understand
- 00:09:05what makes you tick and the more
- 00:09:07powerful you'll become and the cool part
- 00:09:08is is you will take you with you for the
- 00:09:11rest of your life you will take you in
- 00:09:12every situation every communication
- 00:09:14every interaction with another person
- 00:09:16the more upgraded version of you because
- 00:09:18you decided to put it all out there on
- 00:09:19the content side and you will become
- 00:09:21better for having created that content
- 00:09:23that is the coolest part that nobody
- 00:09:25talks about is who you get to become in
- 00:09:27the process of putting your stories out
- 00:09:28there but the truth is ideas and
- 00:09:30authenticity they're not enough to grow
- 00:09:32your brand in 2025 you need systems to
- 00:09:35make it happen which brings us to rule
- 00:09:36number four build your content stencils
- 00:09:39when I started I created everything from
- 00:09:41scratch from blog posts to YouTube
- 00:09:44outlines to list of tweets to Instagram
- 00:09:46ideas now I model what's worked in the
- 00:09:49past and I use stencils to create so I
- 00:09:51have to stare at a blank screen because
- 00:09:53I know those formats work so I repurpose
- 00:09:56the things have worked in the past so
- 00:09:58that I can move faster when I create my
- 00:09:59content I'm working within a structure
- 00:10:02so I don't have to stare at a blank
- 00:10:03screen and like hurt my brain try to
- 00:10:05come up with new creative ideas when I
- 00:10:06already know it works I just got to pull
- 00:10:08that forward the truth is is most people
- 00:10:10get frustrated with their content or
- 00:10:11their marketing before the market ever
- 00:10:13does they're like I already talked about
- 00:10:14this I'm not going to talk about it from
- 00:10:16this angle why not it got you 100,000
- 00:10:18views last time why don't you rerun the
- 00:10:20play why don't you give it a different
- 00:10:21twist why don't you ask yourself what
- 00:10:23else do I know about this topic why
- 00:10:24don't you double click on it a lot of
- 00:10:26artists get it confused cuz they think
- 00:10:28constraint STS don't allow them to be
- 00:10:31creative and the truth is is those
- 00:10:32constraints those rails actually help
- 00:10:34them be more creative most artistic
- 00:10:37people haven't realized that they can
- 00:10:38write down their process for being
- 00:10:40creative there is a methodology they're
- 00:10:42following they just haven't audited it
- 00:10:44to see how does it work how do I get to
- 00:10:47this final book project or blog post or
- 00:10:49a real or a YouTube video there's
- 00:10:51actually a method behind the madness and
- 00:10:53if they took the time to reflect on it
- 00:10:55then they could break the pieces apart
- 00:10:57to actually get better and create these
- 00:10:58stencils to give them structure to
- 00:11:00create more effectively so here's the
- 00:11:02big idea a stencil gives you the
- 00:11:05structure to repeat an outcome just like
- 00:11:06if I had a stencil for painting a blue
- 00:11:09bird on a wall having that would allow
- 00:11:11me to generate a bunch of blue birds
- 00:11:12that are just beautiful and perfect 100
- 00:11:14times over but if I had to sit there
- 00:11:16with a paintbrush and brush on a wall
- 00:11:18100 blue birds it would take me all day
- 00:11:19long you want to make sure that you
- 00:11:21don't hate the artistic process by doing
- 00:11:24the same thing that you don't have to do
- 00:11:26it again create the structure the
- 00:11:28stencil the environment the container
- 00:11:30where you can insert your art to have
- 00:11:33the best content so this is my most
- 00:11:35valuable content stencil and feel free
- 00:11:37to rip it off and use it as your own
- 00:11:39this is my gift to you this is going to
- 00:11:40make your content go viral number one is
- 00:11:43you have to start with a clear problem
- 00:11:45one clear problem what is the hook what
- 00:11:48is the pain what's going to get them to
- 00:11:49stop scrolling number two story what's
- 00:11:52the context that you found yourself in
- 00:11:54what was the conflict that came up in
- 00:11:55your life and what was the climax that
- 00:11:58you went through to try try to discover
- 00:11:59the solution to the frustration you
- 00:12:01found yourself in number three is the
- 00:12:03teach what framework did you use to come
- 00:12:05through this what was the quote that
- 00:12:06inspired you what are some of the
- 00:12:08metaphors that you think about when you
- 00:12:09reflect on that lesson learned I use
- 00:12:12this across all my videos I always start
- 00:12:14with a clear problem I always go to a
- 00:12:15story so I can build the glue and then I
- 00:12:17teach from that point of view and make
- 00:12:19sure that it's concise and clear on the
- 00:12:22story it could be a personal story which
- 00:12:24I love or it could also be repeating a
- 00:12:26story of somebody else's situation I
- 00:12:28call this the report order frame where
- 00:12:29you're reporting on a client you're
- 00:12:31reporting on some history you're
- 00:12:32reporting on something you might have
- 00:12:34seen or you read in a book but you have
- 00:12:35to start with a great story I use this
- 00:12:37across all formats video written podcast
- 00:12:41speeches not only my YouTube videos but
- 00:12:43on my shorts I always start here's a
- 00:12:45problem I want to talk about here's a
- 00:12:46story and then here's the way I'm going
- 00:12:47to teach you so that you can get some
- 00:12:48value now that you see this go check it
- 00:12:50out across all my platforms from Tik Tok
- 00:12:52to Instagram to my email newsletter it's
- 00:12:55all there even in this video I've used
- 00:12:57it several times to really get my point
- 00:12:59across that the way I've edited this
- 00:13:01video is problem story teach but none of
- 00:13:04this will work unless you stay
- 00:13:06consistent which brings us to rule
- 00:13:08number five make it easy here's the
- 00:13:10truth content used to be secondary it
- 00:13:13used to be the thing I had to do not the
- 00:13:14thing I enjoyed doing I used to brag
- 00:13:16that I would sit down and batch 16
- 00:13:18videos in 2 days and create a quarter
- 00:13:20worth of content when those shooting
- 00:13:22days came along I hated it it was so
- 00:13:25frustrating and the truth was it didn't
- 00:13:26produce my best work and because of that
- 00:13:28I didn't didn't trust myself to show up
- 00:13:31and do what I needed to do what I've
- 00:13:32learned is my confidence my ability to
- 00:13:35communicate comes from repeated activity
- 00:13:37over long periods of time that trust
- 00:13:39that I built is when I showed up
- 00:13:41consistently and doing it once a quarter
- 00:13:43was not frequent enough for me to do the
- 00:13:45Reps to finally get it to be easy so
- 00:13:47don't force yourself to do the work you
- 00:13:49hate design the machine to do it in a
- 00:13:52way that you love the truth is I've see
- 00:13:54it all the time when people get busy the
- 00:13:56first thing that gets dropped is the
- 00:13:57content they don't make it a priority
- 00:13:59then they get backed up then it's a
- 00:14:00thing they have to do and then it's like
- 00:14:02a chore and they don't want to do it and
- 00:14:03then the energy of the frustration comes
- 00:14:05across in the content it's not light
- 00:14:07it's not fun they're not enjoying
- 00:14:08themselves you can feel it and the
- 00:14:10energy you feel when you create is felt
- 00:14:12by the viewer the energy you feel when
- 00:14:14you write is felt by the reader think
- 00:14:15about how powerful that is and you're
- 00:14:17trying to rush it it doesn't work like
- 00:14:19that one of the core strategies that I
- 00:14:21teach and I use is called the buyback
- 00:14:23Loop anytime I feel pain in my life
- 00:14:25around content creation as an example I
- 00:14:27go to auditing my calendar I look at
- 00:14:29where I've been spending my time
- 00:14:30creating content and how I'm creating
- 00:14:32that content and go okay if that's red
- 00:14:34how do I make it green what would need
- 00:14:36to be true so I think of containers is
- 00:14:38there a way that I can take the thing I
- 00:14:40have to do but change the way it's done
- 00:14:43so that I want to do it so for example
- 00:14:44if I need to create content of people
- 00:14:46asking me questions can I do it while
- 00:14:48I'm on my scooter can I do it while I'm
- 00:14:50hiking can I do it while I'm working out
- 00:14:52can I do it while I'm driving one of my
- 00:14:54supercars it turns out you can that
- 00:14:56energy shift changed everything for me
- 00:14:58what I do is I audit my calendar for
- 00:15:00things I'm doing in the content
- 00:15:01production process I don't enjoy then I
- 00:15:03transfer it so for example a lot of the
- 00:15:05scripts and the work I do on my books I
- 00:15:07work with other people that fill in the
- 00:15:09blanks cuz I want to edit I don't want
- 00:15:11to author I'm a writer that speaks not a
- 00:15:14speaker that writes so I have other
- 00:15:15people that take my words from my videos
- 00:15:18transcribe it put it in a book format
- 00:15:20and then I edit it from there to save
- 00:15:22myself a ton of time with that new time
- 00:15:24I fill it up with becoming better by
- 00:15:27collecting more like I mentioned at the
- 00:15:29by doing the work to becoming more so I
- 00:15:31have more to teach if you're somebody in
- 00:15:33a person's life that keeps growing
- 00:15:35they're going to want to keep plugging
- 00:15:36in to learn from you because they're
- 00:15:38going to wonder what are they up to now
- 00:15:39you know the truth is is people are
- 00:15:41impressed by consistency if you just
- 00:15:43show up every day for a thousand days
- 00:15:46and be consistent you will be impressive
- 00:15:48to other people I don't know if you know
- 00:15:49this guy Kaady is one of the top
- 00:15:51streamers he's like got millions and
- 00:15:53millions of views anyways he was on with
- 00:15:55Benny Blanco one of the music producers
- 00:15:57asking who's done the longest subathon
- 00:16:00and they found a girl named Emily who
- 00:16:02had been live for 3 years straight and
- 00:16:04haven't missed they were so impressed by
- 00:16:06that consistency they reached out to her
- 00:16:08not only put her live on his stream and
- 00:16:10invited her to join them at the
- 00:16:12streaming which is the number one award
- 00:16:14for that industry and change your whole
- 00:16:16life your audience wants to see that
- 00:16:18you're consistent if you say you're
- 00:16:20going to publish every week and you miss
- 00:16:22a week you just proven that you're not
- 00:16:23consistent if you say you're going to go
- 00:16:25and do Q&A every Friday you got to show
- 00:16:27up every Friday IG live every mon Monday
- 00:16:29you got to go live every Monday that's
- 00:16:30what I've been doing don't hear what I
- 00:16:32say watch what I do and copy that for
- 00:16:34yourself the truth is success is not
- 00:16:36achieved in burst a lot of people get
- 00:16:38inspired and they think success is
- 00:16:39achieved in burst and it's not it's in
- 00:16:42sustained effort over time A lot of
- 00:16:44people are scared to be consistent
- 00:16:45they're like well if I start sharing my
- 00:16:47life on Instagram I'm always going to
- 00:16:49have to do it and here's the deal it's
- 00:16:51not forever you can do it you can build
- 00:16:53it up you can set it up and then you can
- 00:16:56give it to somebody else and they can
- 00:16:58manage you can just live your life
- 00:17:00record your thing and have them edit the
- 00:17:02videos and publish it here's a crazy
- 00:17:04idea everything you see from me I do not
- 00:17:06review or approve before it goes live I
- 00:17:08just sit down and do my thing talk to a
- 00:17:10camera it gets edited it goes live why I
- 00:17:13know what I said there's nothing wrong
- 00:17:14with it I trust the people on my team I
- 00:17:16decided to make it easy so that I didn't
- 00:17:18hate doing it so I could do it for the
- 00:17:20rest of my life my goal is to die empty
- 00:17:22meaning everything I know I'm going to
