- 00:00:00 - 00:05:00
The video introduces a networking project series, emphasizing the importance of starting from basic to more complex levels. The presenter encourages viewers to watch the previous video, subscribe to the channel, and highlights the significance of networking projects.
- 00:05:00 - 00:10:00
A case study is introduced about a company in Eastern Australia planning to open a new branch. The company requires a separate network for this branch, using only Cisco products and with specific requirements for network design, such as having three departments with separate VLANs and wireless networks.
- 00:10:00 - 00:15:00
Detailed requirements for the network design are discussed, including the use of VLANs for department separation, wireless access points for each department, DHCP for automatic IP allocation, and inter-VLAN routing for communication between departments. Subnetting with given base network and requirements is also necessary.
- 00:15:00 - 00:20:00
The presenter begins the subnetting process by defining the base network and calculating the number of subnets using a formula. The explanation includes converting the subnet mask to binary and determining the number of bits to borrow.
- 00:20:00 - 00:25:00
Continues with binary to decimal conversion to determine the new subnet mask, and establishes the block size for subnetting. The subnet mask and block size help in defining IP address allocations for the network's departments.
- 00:25:00 - 00:30:00
Calculates network IDs, broadcast IDs, and host ranges for each subnet, explaining the process of moving from one subnet to another using block size. Each department is allocated a specific range of IP addresses based on these calculations.
- 00:30:00 - 00:35:00
The design phase is described with a visual layout of the network components, including routers and switches for each department. VLANs are configured on switches to ensure traffic separation among departments.
- 00:35:00 - 00:40:00
The presenter sets up access points for wireless connectivity across departments, ensuring different SSIDs and passphrases for network security. Each department must connect to its specific access point to test network setup.
- 00:40:00 - 00:45:00
Router configuration is adjusted to enable trunk interfaces, allowing communication between different VLANs through sub-interfaces. This configuration facilitates inter-VLAN routing necessary for network communication.
- 00:45:00 - 00:50:00
DHCP pools are configured on the router for each department, assigning network addresses, default gateways, and DNS settings. This setup ensures devices receive IP addresses automatically and can communicate efficiently.
- 00:50:00 - 00:57:08
Testing phase confirms successful network setup, checking IP configurations and connectivity between devices across different VLANs. The project's implementation is portrayed as successful, urging viewers to subscribe and engage with the channel.

- 00:00:01hi guys
- 00:00:02welcome back to my channel and thank you
- 00:00:04so much for clicking
- 00:00:06in this video we're going to handle the
- 00:00:08second networking project on our list so
- 00:00:11in the previous
- 00:00:12video guys we managed to handle the
- 00:00:15first networking project in our list
- 00:00:17okay and we said we'll beginning from
- 00:00:19the very basic project to a much
- 00:00:22complicated one so guys of course
- 00:00:25you have not watched the previous video
- 00:00:27i will leave a link on the description
- 00:00:29part click on the link and
- 00:00:32watch the previous and watch the
- 00:00:34previous video because it's very very
- 00:00:36important for this one we start from the
- 00:00:38very basic one to a much complicated one
- 00:00:40all right and
- 00:00:42we also need your whatsapp and we also
- 00:00:44need your support guys suppose you're
- 00:00:45not subscribed do us that favor

- 00:00:51cannot miss the important videos that
- 00:00:53will be uploading on daily basis
- 00:00:56based on networking project and other
- 00:00:59domains okay
- 00:01:00so welcome and let's start
- 00:01:02okay
- 00:01:03so i have a problem here
- 00:01:06let me just show you the problem
- 00:01:09this is the problem that i have got the
- 00:01:12problem says
- 00:01:14xyz company is a fast growing company in
- 00:01:17eastern australia with more than 2
- 00:01:19million customers global
- 00:01:22the company deals with selling and
- 00:01:24buying of food items which are which
- 00:01:27which are basically operated from the
- 00:01:29headquarters okay
- 00:01:31the company is intending to open a
- 00:01:33branch near the local village bon alba
- 00:01:36thus the company requires a young i.t
- 00:01:39graduate to design the network for the
- 00:01:41for the branch i mean
- 00:01:43the network is intended to operate
- 00:01:46separately from the
- 00:01:47hq network very importantly the network
- 00:01:51is important
- 00:01:52the network is intended to operate
- 00:01:54separately from the hq network okay
- 00:01:58now being a small network the company is
- 00:02:01the following requirement during
- 00:02:02implementation during design and
- 00:02:05implementation okay
- 00:02:07the company only requires one router and
- 00:02:10one switch for that
- 00:02:12small network okay
- 00:02:14all these products should be cisco
- 00:02:16products okay
- 00:02:17then the company requests that
- 00:02:21branch to have
- 00:02:23three departments which are admin stroke
- 00:02:26id finance stroke hr
- 00:02:29and finally customer service stroke
- 00:02:32reception
- 00:02:34and then but see each department is
- 00:02:36required to be in a different way
- 00:02:39okay
- 00:02:40but the each department is required to
- 00:02:42have wireless network for the users okay
- 00:02:45most devices in the network are required
- 00:02:48to obtain ipv4 address automatically but
- 00:02:51f devices in all the net in all the
- 00:02:54departments are required to communicate
- 00:02:57with each other okay
- 00:02:59now assume the isp gave a base network
- 00:03:02of this one you as a network engineer
- 00:03:05who has been hired design and implement
- 00:03:08a network considering the above
- 00:03:10requirements
- 00:03:12okay guys so this is the case study
- 00:03:16before you can do something you have to
- 00:03:18understand the background of the problem
- 00:03:20and you want to evaluate the problem and
- 00:03:23to identify the possible solution to
- 00:03:26solve that particular problem okay
- 00:03:29there's a company
- 00:03:31that is based in eastern australia
- 00:03:33and you know
- 00:03:36it
- 00:03:37operates
- 00:03:39and it deals with selling and buying
- 00:03:41food items
- 00:03:43and all these operations are done from
- 00:03:45the headquarter
- 00:03:47and i can assume that the company has no
- 00:03:50branch so far and now the company is
- 00:03:52intending to open a branch near the
- 00:03:55local village okay
- 00:03:56because you know
- 00:03:58two million customers from the
- 00:04:00headquarters are too much so
- 00:04:02they're trying to open a branch to
- 00:04:04accommodate other customers so that the
- 00:04:07headquarter
- 00:04:08so that the headquarters cannot be
- 00:04:10flooded okay
- 00:04:12so the company requires just a young i.t
- 00:04:14graduate to design the network for the
- 00:04:16branch
- 00:04:18okay and the network is intended to
- 00:04:20operate separately from the hq this is a
- 00:04:23very important
- 00:04:24point guys
- 00:04:25the network is import the network is
- 00:04:28intended to operate separately from the
- 00:04:30hq network
- 00:04:32basically
- 00:04:33what this means
- 00:04:35is that
- 00:04:36the branch network will be in a
- 00:04:38different autonomous system from the sq
- 00:04:41network okay very important during our
- 00:04:43descent
- 00:04:44and the implementation i mean okay
- 00:04:46then there are some requirements that
- 00:04:48the company requires one router and one
- 00:04:50switch to be used all cisco products
- 00:04:53because you know it's a small network
- 00:04:56very small okay
- 00:04:58then
- 00:04:59three departments which includes this
- 00:05:01one okay
- 00:05:02each department is required to be in
- 00:05:05different vlans
- 00:05:07very important meaning in our
- 00:05:09configuration
- 00:05:10meaning in our additional implementation
- 00:05:12will have different villains three
- 00:05:14values okay because three departments
- 00:05:17different villains
- 00:05:18three department
- 00:05:20three villains okay
- 00:05:22each department is required to have
- 00:05:24wireless network for the users meaning
- 00:05:27at every department we will have
- 00:05:30access point wireless access point to
- 00:05:32provide wi-fi for the users
- 00:05:35then finally part five
- 00:05:37host devices in the network are required
- 00:05:40to obtain
- 00:05:41ip address automatically
- 00:05:44basically to obtain ip address
- 00:05:46automatically we are going to use dcp
- 00:05:48server and we are going to configure the
- 00:05:50router here as our dcp server okay
- 00:05:54now but f which is the final point
- 00:05:57devices in all the departments are
- 00:05:59required to communicate with each error
- 00:06:02you know
- 00:06:03these devices are in different values we
- 00:06:05have three departments
- 00:06:09okay which represents three venues
- 00:06:11so by default devices in different
- 00:06:14villains will not communicate and hence
- 00:06:16we have to implement what is called
- 00:06:18intervalent routing and to enable these
- 00:06:21devices in different valence to
- 00:06:23communicate okay
- 00:06:25so i will list those important points
- 00:06:27down so that we can take the approach
- 00:06:29from there
- 00:06:30and now finally assume that isp gave out
- 00:06:33a basement of provision u.s young
- 00:06:35network engineer who has been hired
- 00:06:36designed and implement a network
- 00:06:38considering the above requirements
- 00:06:41this is the
- 00:06:42base network okay
- 00:06:44and considering the requirements
- 00:06:48the branch is required to have three
- 00:06:49departments
- 00:06:51meaning now we have to do some
- 00:06:53subnetting to allocate
- 00:06:56ip address to each subnet okay so
- 00:07:00basically what i'll start with guys
- 00:07:04is the design part before you can go to
- 00:07:07subnetting and configuration part
- 00:07:09okay
- 00:07:10the company said they require just one
- 00:07:13router okay
- 00:07:16i'll choose 29 11 router
- 00:07:19and place there
- 00:07:21okay
- 00:07:23then
- 00:07:24one switch a cisco switch i'll take one
- 00:07:27switch
- 00:07:28and place here how many departments we
- 00:07:31have free departments
- 00:07:34so
- 00:07:36let's say
- 00:07:40so this is the first department designer
- 00:07:43printer
- 00:07:44the second department is a pc and the
- 00:07:46printer also
- 00:07:48and finally
- 00:07:50the third department is pc and the
- 00:07:52printer also you know
- 00:07:53there are several
- 00:07:55there are several devices so we can
- 00:07:58put them all here
- 00:08:00okay
- 00:08:01this is just a demonstration
- 00:08:04a kind of a prototype
- 00:08:07okay
- 00:08:08so let's go back to the case study
- 00:08:11each department is required to be in
- 00:08:13different values this the country's
- 00:08:14configuration part we will just comment
- 00:08:16to indicate which villain is this
- 00:08:19a department is required to have
- 00:08:21wireless network for the users meaning
- 00:08:24we have to configure access points so
- 00:08:27basically i'll come to wireless devices
- 00:08:30and choose access point for this
- 00:08:33department
- 00:08:35access point for this department and
- 00:08:38finally access find for this department
- 00:08:40and now let's go back
- 00:08:42most devices in the network are required
- 00:08:44to obtain auto that is the configuration
- 00:08:47part devices configuration part
- 00:08:49and now let's do the connection
- 00:08:53let's do the cabling
- 00:08:55i'll use the automatic cable type
- 00:08:58and then from printer the amine from p
- 00:09:01switch to
- 00:09:02access point
- 00:09:03then from this to this
- 00:09:06these are very important project guys
- 00:09:09remember we are going to handle valence
- 00:09:11interval and routing dcp server and
- 00:09:13subnetting
- 00:09:15which are very very important
- 00:09:17and those are things that we have
- 00:09:19learned in our previous classes
- 00:09:23this is a very very important project
- 00:09:25the complexity of these projects will
- 00:09:27increase you know as we handle
- 00:09:31many projects
- 00:09:32so consider this one as a simple project
- 00:09:35the next one will be a much little bit
- 00:09:37uh
- 00:09:39complicated than this one
- 00:09:42and hence very very important
- 00:09:47very very important
- 00:09:49okay
- 00:09:51so we are done
- 00:09:52doing the descent part
- 00:09:55as you can see we have a router as a
- 00:09:58required a switch
- 00:10:00and the host devices
- 00:10:02and these devices
- 00:10:04department one two three
- 00:10:06and basically just spread the boundaries
- 00:10:10so that
- 00:10:12we can know which department is this
- 00:10:15so that is a let's say
- 00:10:18there and uh
- 00:10:20yes it's used green
- 00:10:24another one here
- 00:10:28and finally the flash department
- 00:10:31at least
- 00:10:32blue
- 00:10:37okay
- 00:10:38what i'll do next is just to comment
- 00:10:43the first department was
- 00:10:46admin stroke as i t
- 00:10:50so this is administrative
- 00:10:53admin
- 00:10:56stroke i think
- 00:11:00then
- 00:11:01we have finance
- 00:11:04stroke hr
- 00:11:06we have customer service cs stroke
- 00:11:09reception
- 00:11:12okay and then what else can we comment
- 00:11:15let me just go to back to the case study
- 00:11:18one router three departments deeper oh
- 00:11:20valence so let's assume
- 00:11:23i
- 00:11:24admin
- 00:11:26this department belongs to villain 10 so
- 00:11:29let's see vlan 10
- 00:11:32this belongs to vlan 20
- 00:11:35and finally here belongs to villain 30
- 00:11:39okay
- 00:11:43so
- 00:11:44we are good to go
- 00:11:46and start the practical part of this one
- 00:11:49subnetting and configuration
- 00:11:54okay so the next step guys is to go for
- 00:11:58subnetting
- 00:12:00okay
- 00:12:01and for submitting guys i will open one
- 00:12:03document and guide you through it so
- 00:12:06i'll open word
- 00:12:12we will do submitting based on the
- 00:12:13requirements
- 00:12:16okay
- 00:12:17so basically what you have to list
- 00:12:19during subnetting the best network
- 00:12:25the base network
- 00:12:27which is
- 00:12:31192.168.1.0
- 00:12:35okay
- 00:12:36then the number of departments required
- 00:12:39or the number of subnets required number
- 00:12:41of
- 00:12:43subnets
- 00:12:45is equal to three
- 00:12:47okay
- 00:12:49so
- 00:12:50these two will act as the guideline
- 00:12:54for subnetting
- 00:12:56okay
- 00:12:57guys
- 00:12:59in the previous project that you handle
- 00:13:01it is very similar to this one
- 00:13:03because
- 00:13:05in that particular project we were also
- 00:13:07given a base network
- 00:13:09and the number of required subnets
- 00:13:12okay in that case there were two and now
- 00:13:14here there are three and we said to find
- 00:13:17the number of subnet guys
- 00:13:19there is a formula
- 00:13:22okay
- 00:13:26okay
- 00:13:28and that formula is
- 00:13:30number of subnet
- 00:13:35is equal to 2
- 00:13:37raised to power n
- 00:13:39okay
- 00:13:40where this n
- 00:13:42will represent the number of borrowed
- 00:13:44bits the number of borrowed network bits
- 00:13:48okay
- 00:13:50so
- 00:13:512
- 00:13:53raised to n
- 00:13:56is equal to 3
- 00:13:58number of subnets 3. so this is the
- 00:14:01formula and n here represent the number
- 00:14:03of ball bits the number of borrowed
- 00:14:05network bits so
- 00:14:07which value here that tourist that value
- 00:14:11will give us
- 00:14:12three so let's try
- 00:14:14two raised to 0 will give us 1 that's
- 00:14:17wrong
- 00:14:18okay
- 00:14:192 raised to 1 will give us 2 that is
- 00:14:21very less you know when you are doing
- 00:14:23calculation
- 00:14:24the number n should give
- 00:14:27a result of
- 00:14:29that is equivalent to the number of
- 00:14:32subunits or
- 00:14:34more than the number of subnets okay but
- 00:14:37you should not give a value that is less
- 00:14:39than okay
- 00:14:40the number of subnets
- 00:14:42the number of required subnets
- 00:14:44okay so two let's try two raise to power
- 00:14:47two that will give us four the number of
- 00:14:50departments and you say the number of
- 00:14:52the pattern the number of subnets you
- 00:14:55know the formula here should give a
- 00:14:57value which is equivalent to the
- 00:14:59required value here or mother okay
- 00:15:04zero is less one is less two is mother
- 00:15:08okay meaning
- 00:15:10and
- 00:15:11must just be two okay
- 00:15:13so
- 00:15:16n is equal to
- 00:15:19two
- 00:15:20and we said guys
- 00:15:23and represent the number of borrowed
- 00:15:24bits the number net borrowed network
- 00:15:28bits let's go back to our base network
- 00:15:32this is a class c address okay and for
- 00:15:35class c address the subject mask let's
- 00:15:38just say class c
- 00:15:41subnet mask should be 255
- 00:15:44255.255.0
- 00:15:47okay and when you convert this to binary
- 00:15:50guys when you convert this decimal
- 00:15:53value
- 00:15:55to binary i mean you will get a value
- 00:15:57that is equivalent to
- 00:15:59sorry
- 00:16:03the first octet will be
- 00:16:06eight ones one two three four five six
- 00:16:09seven eight okay because
- 00:16:12two point five all the bits are turned
- 00:16:14on okay
- 00:16:16and now the second octet also will be
- 00:16:19eight bits turned on
- 00:16:21the same for
- 00:16:22third update eight beans bit stand on
- 00:16:25okay and now for the last octet guys you
- 00:16:28see it's zero
- 00:16:30no beats
- 00:16:32is turned on so it's all zero zero one
- 00:16:35two three four five six seven eight
- 00:16:38okay
- 00:16:40so
- 00:16:40normally
- 00:16:42this is the subnet mask
- 00:16:45of a class c address plus
- 00:16:49the binary form of it
- 00:16:51but we have two
- 00:16:53borrowed bits to satisfy the requirement
- 00:16:56here guys what do we do
- 00:17:00this is the normal subnet mask of a
- 00:17:02class c address but now to satisfy the
- 00:17:05subnet
- 00:17:07requirement
- 00:17:08we have to borrow two network bits so
- 00:17:11the new binary form will be remember
- 00:17:14this is the first binary form okay now
- 00:17:17the new binary form will be i'm copying
- 00:17:20it
- 00:17:22after borrowing
- 00:17:26after borrowing
- 00:17:28after after book
- 00:17:30after borrowing
- 00:17:34two bits
- 00:17:37okay
- 00:17:39now new
- 00:17:41binary form
- 00:17:44is equal to this one then we borrow two
- 00:17:48bits
- 00:17:49two
- 00:17:50network bits the network bits are
- 00:17:52represented by one
- 00:17:54one one okay
- 00:17:56now we have border two
- 00:17:58bits okay from the host
- 00:18:00portion
- 00:18:01okay
- 00:18:02now the network id will be represented
- 00:18:05from this point
- 00:18:07from the last one to
- 00:18:09the first one here okay
- 00:18:12from here
- 00:18:13to here
- 00:18:14sorry
- 00:18:16to here okay now this will be the
- 00:18:18network bit and this will be the old
- 00:18:23portion
- 00:18:24so guys
- 00:18:25to carry on with subnetting let's
- 00:18:28convert this back to
- 00:18:30decimal to convert this back to the
- 00:18:32decimal guys
- 00:18:34an octave that has it's all
- 00:18:38beats turn on
- 00:18:39represent a banner represent a decimal
- 00:18:42value of two five five then two five
- 00:18:44five then two five five for these three
- 00:18:48okay
- 00:18:49now let's go for the last
- 00:18:53octet
- 00:18:54okay and convert this to
- 00:19:01decimal
- 00:19:02we want to convert we want to convert
- 00:19:05this value in decimal and now we start
- 00:19:08put this into we convert the binary into
- 00:19:12decimal to find the last octet of the
- 00:19:14new
- 00:19:16subnet mask this is the new subnet mask
- 00:19:18let me just say new
- 00:19:20sm okay
- 00:19:24raised to 0 times 0
- 00:19:25is 0
- 00:19:272 raised to 1 times 0
- 00:19:30is 0
- 00:19:312 raised to 2
- 00:19:33times 0 is 0 2 raised to 3 times 0 is 0
- 00:19:372 is 2
- 00:19:394 times 0 is 0 2 raised to 5 times 0 is
- 00:19:440 2 raised to 6 times 1
- 00:19:48is
- 00:19:4964
- 00:19:50plus 2 raised to 7
- 00:19:53times 1 is 128 so it's 128 plus 64.
- 00:19:58and we get 192
- 00:20:02conversion of binary into decimal guys
- 00:20:04pretty much simple if you have any
- 00:20:06problem kindly research about it
- 00:20:09google and you will understand it better
- 00:20:12okay
- 00:20:13so this is our new subject mask and
- 00:20:16basically we're going to use the subnet
- 00:20:18mask guys
- 00:20:19plus this base network now to find
- 00:20:23the num
- 00:20:24profile
- 00:20:26to allocate ip address at every
- 00:20:30department okay
- 00:20:32all right so
- 00:20:34we said in our previous class
- 00:20:36that's the class of subnetting
- 00:20:40whenever a subnet mask ends with 92 192
- 00:20:44i mean now the block size is
- 00:20:47let me show you subnet mask
- 00:20:49block size calculation
- 00:20:52this is it
- 00:20:54when subnet mask ends with 128 the block
- 00:20:56says one always wanted to name when
- 00:20:59subnet mask ends with 188 the block size
- 00:21:02is 128 182 becomes 64.
- 00:21:06224 becomes 32 and so and so forth and
- 00:21:09now our subject mask ends with 192.
- 00:21:14now our block size is 164 and now
- 00:21:18the blockers will tell us how to move
- 00:21:21from one subnet to another okay
- 00:21:24all right so let's go
- 00:21:26one and two represent a boxes of 64
- 00:21:30boxes
- 00:21:33is equal to 64.
- 00:21:35okay
- 00:21:37now let's find
- 00:21:39the ipl location for each depart
- 00:21:42now
- 00:21:44now let's find ipl location for each
- 00:21:47department okay
- 00:21:51first department first submit
- 00:21:55okay
- 00:21:56second subnet
- 00:22:00and finally third subnet because we have
- 00:22:02three departments
- 00:22:06okay
- 00:22:07so the first department guys
- 00:22:10we always say network id
- 00:22:14network id
- 00:22:17broadcast id
- 00:22:21id
- 00:22:23okay
- 00:22:25and uh
- 00:22:29or strange
- 00:22:33okay
- 00:22:35then finally sub no
- 00:22:37now
- 00:22:38we use this so for the network id guys
- 00:22:42you know
- 00:22:44these are block size
- 00:22:46and the network id guys will be this one
- 00:22:48okay dot zero
- 00:22:50should ensure that the first network id
- 00:22:53begins from dot z okay
- 00:22:56and now
- 00:22:58the second network id should begin from
- 00:23:02the block size plus this one
- 00:23:04okay
- 00:23:05which is let me just copy this first
- 00:23:10and paste here
- 00:23:13now
- 00:23:15in the second subnet
- 00:23:18the network id will be
- 00:23:21this one plus the block size which is
- 00:23:2364. okay
- 00:23:26can you hear me
- 00:23:28can you can you understand that
- 00:23:31and now finally on the third department
- 00:23:36let me just paste this
- 00:23:38the network id will be the block size
- 00:23:41which is 64
- 00:23:42okay
- 00:23:43plus
- 00:23:45the network id of
- 00:23:49there is
- 00:23:50previous subnet which is
- 00:23:52128
- 00:23:54and now from this point we can calculate
- 00:23:57the broadcast id and the range
- 00:24:00of valid host
- 00:24:02ids okay
- 00:24:04to find
- 00:24:06the broadcast id guys
- 00:24:07the broadcast id will be the last
- 00:24:11ip address to move to the next
- 00:24:13subnet
- 00:24:14if this is the next subnet now the last
- 00:24:17ip address wii is 182.168.1.63
- 00:24:20[Music]
- 00:24:24the last iprs to move to the
- 00:24:26next
- 00:24:28subnet
- 00:24:29okay
- 00:24:30and now
- 00:24:33broadcast id here will be
- 00:24:35the last ip to move the next subnet
- 00:24:38which is which is 103.168.1.127
- 00:24:43okay
- 00:24:44all right and now here guys you know
- 00:24:47we don't
- 00:24:50to find the broadcast id here guys
- 00:24:53if you have not calculated the fourth
- 00:24:55subnet just add 164 here and subtract
- 00:24:58one okay
- 00:25:01so let's just add
- 00:25:0263 here
- 00:25:05which will be
- 00:25:06191 quantity 168.1.191
- 00:25:12191 that will be the broadcast id
- 00:25:16of the third subnet okay
- 00:25:18and now let's find the range of valid
- 00:25:21host the range of valid host guys lies
- 00:25:24between the network id and broadcast id
- 00:25:26so the network id is
- 00:25:3012.168.1.0 but now the range of valid os
- 00:25:33lies in between meanings.1
- 00:25:36to
- 00:25:37192.168.1.62
- 00:25:39[Music]
- 00:25:42in between
- 00:25:43these two
- 00:25:45okay 0 to 63 so the range of valid from
- 00:25:49dot one to
- 00:25:50dot 62 okay the same for
- 00:25:54for the second segment i'll copy paste
- 00:25:57i'll paste it and say
- 00:26:0065 now
- 00:26:0265
- 00:26:03subtract 1 here 126
- 00:26:06126
- 00:26:08and finally
- 00:26:09the third subnet will paste
- 00:26:12and say here is 129 you had one here
- 00:26:15subtract one here 129
- 00:26:18and now subtract one here which is a 190
- 00:26:21okay
- 00:26:22now guys we are done
- 00:26:24okay we can now go back to
- 00:26:26the configuration part
- 00:26:28we are done with subnetting all right
- 00:26:33this is the first subnet and the first
- 00:26:35subnet
- 00:26:36the network id is 182.168.1.0
- 00:26:43so
- 00:26:46the
- 00:26:47so this is the subnet mask
- 00:26:49and when you convert it and when you
- 00:26:52convert it into a slash notation you'll
- 00:26:56find the value which is so this is the
- 00:26:58binary
- 00:26:59this is 8 8 8 plus 2
- 00:27:048 16 24 plus this two which is a 26 okay
- 00:27:10a subnet mask of this one represent a
- 00:27:12slash notation of
- 00:27:1426 okay
- 00:27:15so i'll go back to get tracer and finish
- 00:27:19commenting slash 26
- 00:27:22then i'll go back here again and say now
- 00:27:24the network is 102.168.1.64
- 00:27:3026
- 00:27:31and finally here
- 00:27:33192.168.
- 00:27:381.128 shows 26 okay
- 00:27:42the subnets
- 00:27:44network at every subnet
- 00:27:47okay we are following here the first
- 00:27:49subnet the network id was
- 00:27:52here as you can see second one dot 64
- 00:27:55third one dot 60 dot 128 timing and the
- 00:27:58subnet mask for all is this one which is
- 00:28:01represented by slash 26 notation so i'll
- 00:28:06go back to the configuration part
- 00:28:08so guys we are done with subreddit with
- 00:28:10the comments
- 00:28:12and let's go back to the problem
- 00:28:16the first case is done
- 00:28:18second one is done
- 00:28:20each department is required to be in
- 00:28:21different villains now the configuration
- 00:28:24part begins let's
- 00:28:26configure vlans how do we configure vlan
- 00:28:30and where do we configure vlan we
- 00:28:32configure vlans in the switches okay so
- 00:28:35click on the switch
- 00:28:38then you come to command li
- 00:28:41enable
- 00:28:42config configure
- 00:28:45okay
- 00:28:47then
- 00:28:49so i will get the interfaces which is a
- 00:28:52gig 04 this is gig 0 2 and finally gig
- 00:28:5503
- 00:28:56okay so i'll go to the same switch and
- 00:28:58say
- 00:29:00interface
- 00:29:01gig
- 00:29:02interface range because we want to
- 00:29:04configure the same parameter to those
- 00:29:05particular indexes
- 00:29:08interface fp0 slash
- 00:29:10two to four
- 00:29:12i'm very sorry it was a phase zero slash
- 00:29:14not a gig
- 00:29:16okay
- 00:29:17eager for the routers
- 00:29:21so interface range this one
- 00:29:24and you hit enter and now switch point
- 00:29:28mode
- 00:29:29access how to configure
- 00:29:32valence
- 00:29:34you enter that interface then you change
- 00:29:36that interface into access mode then
- 00:29:39after changing it into access mode now
- 00:29:41you assign the villar number now
- 00:29:43switchboard
- 00:29:45access
- 00:29:46vlan
- 00:29:4810
- 00:29:50as you can see access villain doesn't
- 00:29:51exist
- 00:29:52creating vlan 10
- 00:29:54and we are done
- 00:29:56assigning vlan
- 00:29:57to these interfaces so let's go to the
- 00:30:00second interfaces which are a phaser
- 00:30:03five
- 00:30:05six
- 00:30:06and seven
- 00:30:07and ascend to vlan 20.
- 00:30:09so i'll just try to retrieve the above
- 00:30:11configuration
- 00:30:13okay
- 00:30:14effects class five to seven
- 00:30:17okay switchboard mode access
- 00:30:19then switch part access vlan
- 00:30:2220 very simple
- 00:30:25then finally
- 00:30:29which interfaces are these
- 00:30:31this this one is a
- 00:30:3410
- 00:30:35nine
- 00:30:37and eight so it's eight to ten
- 00:30:41eight to ten
- 00:30:44switchboard mode access then switchbot
- 00:30:46access
- 00:30:48vlan 30
- 00:30:49[Music]
- 00:30:50do right
- 00:30:52exit
- 00:30:55do show start
- 00:30:57as you can see guys
- 00:30:59we have assigned
- 00:31:01these interfaces to
- 00:31:03number as you can see slash two and
- 00:31:05slash three valentine
- 00:31:08i mean
- 00:31:10i mean
- 00:31:11slash two to four valentine
- 00:31:14five to seven last vlan 20 i mean
- 00:31:18and finally
- 00:31:228 to 10 villain 30 okay
- 00:31:25so we are done configuring vlans let's
- 00:31:28go back to the problem
- 00:31:30each department is required to have
- 00:31:32wireless for the users okay as you can
- 00:31:35see guys we have
- 00:31:37placed the wireless access points at
- 00:31:40every department and now let's configure
- 00:31:42them we configure password and ssid the
- 00:31:46wifi name okay
- 00:31:49start from that one and you come to
- 00:31:50config and port one okay
- 00:31:53but one let's say the name is uh
- 00:31:56that is the admin
- 00:31:59admin wi-fi
- 00:32:01and the password should be the
- 00:32:03authentication mechanism should be wpa2
- 00:32:06psk okay
- 00:32:08and let's say admin
- 00:32:12at one two three okay it's done
- 00:32:15let's configure the third at the second
- 00:32:18access point i mean
- 00:32:19you come to part one and say let's say
- 00:32:21this one is finance
- 00:32:25finance
- 00:32:26wi-fi
- 00:32:28and password
- 00:32:30should be let's say f
- 00:32:33finance
- 00:32:34at one two three
- 00:32:37and finally the third access point
- 00:32:41come to config
- 00:32:42bot1
- 00:32:45the name should be
- 00:32:47cs
- 00:32:48wi-fi
- 00:32:51and the password
- 00:32:53should be
- 00:32:54cs at one two three we are done guys
- 00:32:59we are
- 00:33:00sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry
- 00:33:06the password should be a minimum of
- 00:33:07eight words
- 00:33:09so i'll go back and reconfigure it again
- 00:33:15i'll configure the password again and
- 00:33:17say
- 00:33:18see
- 00:33:21a customer
- 00:33:25at one two three
- 00:33:27okay we're done so let's go back to the
- 00:33:30problem again and see
- 00:33:32all devices in the network are required
- 00:33:34to obtain ipv4 address automatically
- 00:33:38devices in all the departments are
- 00:33:40required to communicate with each other
- 00:33:42guys
- 00:33:43to obtain ipv4 address automatically
- 00:33:45that is dtp server implementation
- 00:33:48for the devices in different vlans to
- 00:33:50communicate that is interval and routing
- 00:33:53so let's go to the router and configure
- 00:33:55that too okay
- 00:33:57so i'll go back to the configuration
- 00:33:59part
- 00:34:00and guys before we can proceed
- 00:34:04i want to explain something you know
- 00:34:08these parts here that are connected to
- 00:34:10the host devices at every department
- 00:34:12their access points
- 00:34:14and we said accessport can only access
- 00:34:17one villain at a time
- 00:34:19okay
- 00:34:20so you know
- 00:34:26during communication in the network
- 00:34:29the traffic will be going to the router
- 00:34:32then coming back
- 00:34:34for example from pc 0
- 00:34:36the traffic will be going from pc 0
- 00:34:38through the switch to the router then
- 00:34:40coming from the router to switch to the
- 00:34:42destination
- 00:34:45and now the traffic that will be passing
- 00:34:48this interface
- 00:34:49will have
- 00:34:51various vlan id for example the traffic
- 00:34:54from this department will be having
- 00:34:58will have
- 00:34:59a villain idea finland 10 from here vlan
- 00:35:0320
- 00:35:05and from here we'll learn that
- 00:35:07and this interface
- 00:35:10should be a trunk interface because a
- 00:35:12trunk interface
- 00:35:14allows
- 00:35:15passage of multiple vlogs so this is
- 00:35:20f zero slash one
- 00:35:23[Music]
- 00:35:26so interface f a little
- 00:35:38now we are done with everything on the
- 00:35:40switch so
- 00:35:42any configuration is
- 00:35:44so any configuration that is remaining
- 00:35:47is
- 00:35:48in the router
- 00:35:50and we will go on the router
- 00:35:52and start the
- 00:35:53and start configuring
- 00:35:55what is required okay so i'll click on
- 00:35:57the router
- 00:35:59cli
- 00:36:01so you know
- 00:36:02the first configuration that we'll do is
- 00:36:04to turn this interface up it's in
- 00:36:07shutdown by default
- 00:36:10so
- 00:36:12enable
- 00:36:14config
- 00:36:17interface
- 00:36:18gig i hope it is gig 0 0
- 00:36:22gig 0 0
- 00:36:24yeah so it's geek0
- 00:36:28no shutdown
- 00:36:30and do right
- 00:36:33okay
- 00:36:35we are done so what's remaining
- 00:36:37basically is to configure intervalon and
- 00:36:39dhcp server we'll start with the
- 00:36:41intervalon
- 00:36:43routing
- 00:36:44okay and to configure interval and
- 00:36:46writing guys we said from a single
- 00:36:49physical interface we create
- 00:36:52multiple sub interfaces for example this
- 00:36:56is gabe00 so from this interface we will
- 00:37:00as we will create
- 00:37:02sub interfaces and assign ip address
- 00:37:05that will act as a default gateway to
- 00:37:08the respective villa
- 00:37:11okay the first thing is to create a sub
- 00:37:13interface okay
- 00:37:15let's go on
- 00:37:18exit
- 00:37:19how do you create a sub interface
- 00:37:22kindly take note on which interface is
- 00:37:24connected to your network okay
- 00:37:27gig zero zero so
- 00:37:30interface
- 00:37:31gig
- 00:37:33zero zero then to create a sub interface
- 00:37:36this is vlan 10 and to create a server
- 00:37:38interface for valentine let's say gig 0
- 00:37:410
- 00:37:42dot
- 00:37:4310 okay a sub interface from this
- 00:37:46physical interface okay
- 00:37:49and hit enter
- 00:37:49[Music]
- 00:37:51then
- 00:37:53after creating a sub interface guys the
- 00:37:55most important part is to
- 00:37:58specify encapsulation
- 00:38:01dot
- 00:38:03one cube okay dot one q then the vlan
- 00:38:06number
- 00:38:08encapsulation dot one queue and the vlan
- 00:38:11number for vlan 10
- 00:38:13the first
- 00:38:14command was to create a sub interface
- 00:38:17that is similar to the villain number
- 00:38:18dot 10 yeah is vlan 10 okay then
- 00:38:21encapsulation dot one q
- 00:38:24the v number which is vlan 10 okay
- 00:38:26then we want
- 00:38:33we want to assign this sub and interface
- 00:38:36as a default gateway for this vlan and
- 00:38:39now we are sending ip address to this
- 00:38:41[Music]
- 00:38:43interface that ip address will act as a
- 00:38:46default gateway for this
- 00:38:48villa okay for this subnet and we said
- 00:38:51it for first
- 00:38:53and we said for the first subnet the
- 00:38:55range of valid host id start from
- 00:38:59dot one so let's say the router text dot
- 00:39:02one okay
- 00:39:04the router's interface
- 00:39:07that interface 192.168.1.1
- 00:39:12and now subnet mask guys we said
- 00:39:14255.255.255.192
- 00:39:20don't forget
- 00:39:22this was our subnet mask
- 00:39:24for all the subnets okay
- 00:39:27and you hit enter so let's go to the
- 00:39:29second interface
- 00:39:31which is
- 00:39:32[Music]
- 00:39:34so
- 00:39:35interface
- 00:39:36the same physical interface so you hit
- 00:39:39sub interface
- 00:39:40interface gig zero zero dot
- 00:39:44the second vlan which is
- 00:39:47which id vlan 20
- 00:39:49dot vlan 20 and you hit enter
- 00:39:52then encapsulation
- 00:39:53[Music]
- 00:39:54dot 1q 20 the vlan number guys don't
- 00:39:58forget and you hit enter and now you
- 00:40:00assign appearance to this interface
- 00:40:02let me try to retrieve the above
- 00:40:04configuration
- 00:40:06and to send a p address to this
- 00:40:08interface guys we said in the first
- 00:40:11in the second subnet
- 00:40:13the range of valid oscillators from
- 00:40:1765
- 00:40:18okay
- 00:40:20so they let the routers interface
- 00:40:23the created sub interface to take
- 00:40:2565 okay and hit enter do that
- 00:40:30exit
- 00:40:31and now finally we create a sub
- 00:40:33interface for this villa
- 00:40:36which is villain 30
- 00:40:41dot 30
- 00:40:42then
- 00:40:43encapsulation
- 00:40:45dot 1 q 30 the villain id okay
- 00:40:49and i p address should be
- 00:40:55for the third subnet the ip address the
- 00:40:58range of valid appearance for host
- 00:41:01the range of osmo diaper should start
- 00:41:04from 129 okay
- 00:41:08okay
- 00:41:09so the router's interface the sub
- 00:41:11interface will take
- 00:41:13dot 129
- 00:41:15and you hit enter
- 00:41:16do right
- 00:41:19exit
- 00:41:20we are done configuring interval and
- 00:41:23routing and as you can check
- 00:41:25do show start
- 00:41:28sorry
- 00:41:32now
- 00:41:35as you can see guys we have created how
- 00:41:37many sub interfaces three sub interfaces
- 00:41:40from this physical interface dot 10.20
- 00:41:44under 30. for the 10 guys represent
- 00:41:49the first subnet with the you know
- 00:41:51billionaire villain id is indicated here
- 00:41:53plus
- 00:41:55the peer address of the default gateway
- 00:41:57okay
- 00:41:58all right so what's remaining guys is to
- 00:42:02configure dhcp server
- 00:42:04guys to configure the sap server we said
- 00:42:08[Music]
- 00:42:12the first thing is to enable dcp service
- 00:42:15on that particular device okay but you
- 00:42:18know on the cisco devices
- 00:42:21by default it's enabled so i'll go back
- 00:42:23to the router
- 00:42:25exit
- 00:42:28and say service
- 00:42:31dhcp
- 00:42:33this command here will be
- 00:42:35will enable tcp service okay
- 00:42:39then after you have enabled dhcp service
- 00:42:42on that particular route i mean
- 00:42:45after you have the enable dcp service on
- 00:42:48that particular device
- 00:42:51now you create ports okay
- 00:42:54for example
- 00:42:55this is admin this is finance and
- 00:42:58finally customer care stroke reception
- 00:43:01okay
- 00:43:03for example
- 00:43:06so this will be tool admin just click
- 00:43:10using with command ip
- 00:43:13dhcp
- 00:43:15pool okay
- 00:43:16admin
- 00:43:18say admin
- 00:43:19tool okay hit enter
- 00:43:22and now after you have created this pool
- 00:43:25guys it is it represent this subnet okay
- 00:43:31now let's assign a network
- 00:43:33address to the pool that we have created
- 00:43:37the network should be you just say
- 00:43:39network
- 00:43:41192.168.1.0
- 00:43:43[Music]
- 00:43:45now the network you don't place ip
- 00:43:48address here okay
- 00:43:49plus the subnet mask which is a 26
- 00:43:52notation
- 00:43:53255.25
- 00:43:57255.255.192
- 00:44:02slash 26 notation and you hit enter
- 00:44:05after that you give a default gateway
- 00:44:08default gateway the default gateway guys
- 00:44:12will be the ip address of that sub
- 00:44:14interface that we created and assigned
- 00:44:17to that particular failure which is the
- 00:44:19chain this the ip address of this urban
- 00:44:22interface not 10.
- 00:44:24it was
- 00:44:251.1 okay
- 00:44:27very simple
- 00:44:301218.1.1
- 00:44:34and now dns
- 00:44:36server
- 00:44:37let's give it uh the same as ip 192.1
- 00:44:40[Music]
- 00:44:41168.1.1
- 00:44:43hit enter and now domain name
- 00:44:47the main name
- 00:44:48let's say admin
- 00:44:52dot com
- 00:44:54and exit
- 00:44:56we're done
- 00:44:57okay
- 00:44:58and now these devices here will be
- 00:45:00assigned ip address automatically let's
- 00:45:04move to the second subnet okay
- 00:45:07in which we will create another pool
- 00:45:11so
- 00:45:11in the second subnet we'll create a pool
- 00:45:13called ipdc people
- 00:45:16pull let's say finance
- 00:45:21pull
- 00:45:22okay
- 00:45:24assign network to this pool
- 00:45:26the network should be
- 00:45:28this one one and two other ones theater
- 00:45:3016 1.64 okay
- 00:45:33she has 26 notation
- 00:45:35so the network should be
- 00:45:37192.18.1.64
- 00:45:38[Music]
- 00:45:43a subnet mask of two 255.255.255.192
- 00:45:46[Music]
- 00:45:51and you eat enter
- 00:45:53default gateway now you assign the
- 00:45:55default gateway default router the same
- 00:45:58thing for the default router it will be
- 00:46:02the ip address of the sub interface we
- 00:46:05created
- 00:46:06okay while implementing intervalon which
- 00:46:09was touchscreen the ipaddress of this
- 00:46:12interface was
- 00:46:130.65 okay
- 00:46:16so it's a 12.168.1.65
- 00:46:24and now dns server will also
- 00:46:26[Music]
- 00:46:298.1.65
- 00:46:31and domain name
- 00:46:33will be let's say finance
- 00:46:37dot com
- 00:46:38and exit
- 00:46:40we are done
- 00:46:42for this subreddit and now these host
- 00:46:45devices will be allocated i p address
- 00:46:48automatically so let's go back to the
- 00:46:51final
- 00:46:53subnet
- 00:46:54so let's go back to the last subnet
- 00:46:56which is a
- 00:46:58valentine css entry
- 00:47:01cs and reception
- 00:47:03which will create another pool which is
- 00:47:05called ip dhcp
- 00:47:10pool
- 00:47:12let's say
- 00:47:13css.com
- 00:47:18okay sorry
- 00:47:22no problem let's just go home
- 00:47:25now network will send network to that
- 00:47:27pool
- 00:47:28which is this one okay
- 00:47:31one and two
- 00:47:33one two one eight dot one dot one two
- 00:47:36eight
- 00:47:37okay
- 00:47:38subnet mask of 255.255.255.192
- 00:47:44okay
- 00:47:45and hit enter now default router will be
- 00:47:49the ip address of that sub interface we
- 00:47:51created while implementing interval and
- 00:47:54routing which is dot three dot start amy
- 00:47:57the appear address was dot one two nine
- 00:48:02one two dot one sixty eight 68.1.129
- 00:48:08dns
- 00:48:12192.168.1.129
- 00:48:19domain name
- 00:48:21css.com
- 00:48:25exit
- 00:48:27do right
- 00:48:29guys we are done configuring everything
- 00:48:33as per the requirement okay
- 00:48:36so basically what is remaining is to
- 00:48:38test communication devices in all
- 00:48:40departments are required to communicate
- 00:48:42with each other that's to test
- 00:48:44communication the first thing that i
- 00:48:46will do
- 00:48:47is to change the allocation ipa location
- 00:48:50method to dtp i'll click on the pc
- 00:48:53come to desktop i pay and you come to
- 00:48:55dhcp give it time i hope it will pick up
- 00:48:58as you can see
- 00:49:00as you can see it's successful now for
- 00:49:02the printer
- 00:49:04config
- 00:49:06then you come to
- 00:49:07you come to first season x0
- 00:49:10ip2 dhcp will pick up
- 00:49:13as you can see dot 3.
- 00:49:16and
- 00:49:17for the access point let's just give
- 00:49:20for the access point guys we'll play
- 00:49:22some most devices at every department
- 00:49:27so i will finish with this department
- 00:49:28first now let's go back to the second
- 00:49:32subnet
- 00:49:33and do the same
- 00:49:36and it will pick let's just give it time
- 00:49:40click on the printer
- 00:49:42and come to the facility zero
- 00:49:44dcp give it time let me hover over it
- 00:49:48it has taken six six okay
- 00:49:51now for the last subnet
- 00:49:53config
- 00:49:55sorry
- 00:49:57question is zero
- 00:49:59as you can see it has it has picked
- 00:50:00automatically now for the pc
- 00:50:04it has a
- 00:50:06config i mean dhcp
- 00:50:09it has picked automatically okay and
- 00:50:12printer
- 00:50:14okay
- 00:50:14all right guys so as we said
- 00:50:19so guys in the problem
- 00:50:22each department is required to have
- 00:50:24wireless access network
- 00:50:28each department is required to have
- 00:50:30wireless network for the users so we
- 00:50:32have access point here access point here
- 00:50:34access point here so let's test them
- 00:50:37i will place
- 00:50:39things like let's say a smartphone here
- 00:50:44and a laptop here
- 00:50:47is laptop here
- 00:50:49and a smartphone here
- 00:50:50a smartphone here
- 00:50:52and a laptop here
- 00:50:55and try to connect them to the access
- 00:50:57point so for example this one
- 00:51:00the access point name was uh
- 00:51:04it was a admin wi-fi
- 00:51:07and the password was admin at one two
- 00:51:09three so i'll go to smartphone and try
- 00:51:11to connect to it
- 00:51:15come to config
- 00:51:18wireless zero
- 00:51:19now
- 00:51:20it's under ssd
- 00:51:22press that word admin wi-fi and
- 00:51:24authentication should be
- 00:51:26admin
- 00:51:28at one two three
- 00:51:30and close this one i hope it will
- 00:51:32connect just give it time
- 00:51:34and it will check the appearance that it
- 00:51:36has been assigned so let's go to the ip
- 00:51:38address and check the appearance that it
- 00:51:40has been assigned
- 00:51:42go to desktop and check the dhcp delete
- 00:51:46go back come back to static and again to
- 00:51:49dcp
- 00:51:51as you can see it has been assigned ip
- 00:51:53address
- 00:51:54in that network okay
- 00:51:56so
- 00:51:57finally
- 00:51:58so also
- 00:52:00in this department now let's connect
- 00:52:02this laptop and to connect laptop guys
- 00:52:05we have to insert a wireless model so
- 00:52:09the first thing is to turn off the
- 00:52:11laptop
- 00:52:12and remove the existing model
- 00:52:14as you can see now the part is empty and
- 00:52:16drag this wpc 300 okay
- 00:52:19press there turn it on again
- 00:52:22now let's go back to the
- 00:52:24laptop
- 00:52:25and check the password
- 00:52:27and let's check the password and this is
- 00:52:29the name of this
- 00:52:31wi-fi finance wi-fi finance at one two
- 00:52:34three
- 00:52:35four
- 00:52:37for laptop you can desktop wireless pc
- 00:52:40you come to pc wireless
- 00:52:42and now you come to connect and refresh
- 00:52:45just give it time
- 00:52:48we have three
- 00:52:49access points
- 00:52:51css wi-fi admin wi-fi and finance wi-fi
- 00:52:54and now we want to connect our finance
- 00:52:55wi-fi
- 00:52:56connect
- 00:52:58the password is uh finance
- 00:53:02at one two three
- 00:53:04and you connect
- 00:53:06close this
- 00:53:07and close this one as you can see
- 00:53:09it has connected successfully
- 00:53:12okay
- 00:53:14it has connected successfully
- 00:53:17so finally let's go back to this
- 00:53:19department also
- 00:53:21and now i'll involve tablet and connect
- 00:53:23the tablet on this side
- 00:53:27so i'll click on the tablet
- 00:53:30come back to
- 00:53:35[Music]
- 00:53:36come to
- 00:53:37wireless0
- 00:53:39and which wi-fi was this
- 00:53:45css wi-fi cs wi-fi customer at one two
- 00:53:48three
- 00:53:50so the name is cs
- 00:53:53wi-fi
- 00:53:54the password is
- 00:53:56customer
- 00:53:59at one two three
- 00:54:01and plus
- 00:54:02you want to see i appeared as that it
- 00:54:04has been given
- 00:54:07so pc let's go back to as you can see it
- 00:54:10has been allocated ip address
- 00:54:12dynamically okay
- 00:54:15everything is working perfectly fine
- 00:54:17guys and now what's remaining basically
- 00:54:18is to test communication i will test
- 00:54:21communication from this smartphone
- 00:54:23to this pc and from this tablet
- 00:54:26to this printer and finally from this
- 00:54:28laptop
- 00:54:29um
- 00:54:30to
- 00:54:31this print again
- 00:54:33okay
