hey this is Leo for actualised org and
  • 00:00:05
in this episode I want to share with you
  • 00:00:08
a vision for the self actualized life
  • 00:00:11
    the inspired life
  • 00:00:13
the kind of life that's available for
  • 00:00:17
you I just got back from a two-week
  • 00:00:31
    pretty intense consciousness retreat
  • 00:00:34
where I did a lot of inner work and a
  • 00:00:37
lot of thinking and introspection a lot
  • 00:00:41
of pursuing of enlightenment and also
  • 00:00:43
meeting and talking to a lot of
  • 00:00:44
interesting people who are involved in
  • 00:00:47
self-improvement in some fashion and one
  • 00:00:51
of the things that I kind of realized is
  • 00:00:52
I just realized how lucky I am to be
  • 00:00:55
where I am in 2015 just reflecting back
  • 00:00:59
on what happened this year for me I took
  • 00:01:02
five retreats I invested over ten
  • 00:01:05
thousand dollars just in taking retreats
  • 00:01:07
traveling around the country I took
  • 00:01:10
three vacations a seven day vacation a
  • 00:01:12
ten-day vacation I'm going to take
  • 00:01:14
another vacation coming up here two more
  • 00:01:17
to wrap up this year I get to set my own
  • 00:01:21
schedule I wake up whenever I want I go
  • 00:01:23
to sleep whenever I want I work in my
  • 00:01:25
underwear although right now I'm wearing
  • 00:01:27
pants as I shoot this got to keep things
  • 00:01:30
professional right umm I earn six
  • 00:01:33
figures doing what I love this year I
  • 00:01:36
released my dream project the life
  • 00:01:38
purpose course which I really wanted to
  • 00:01:41
release because it feels like I get to
  • 00:01:43
use it to to improve the world for the
  • 00:01:45
better to make my contribution impact on
  • 00:01:47
the world so that was really big for me
  • 00:01:49
worked really hard on that I've received
  • 00:01:53
thousands over a thousand thank you
  • 00:01:56
emails and thank-you comments on YouTube
  • 00:02:00
on my website in my inbox every single
  • 00:02:04
    week
  • 00:02:04
it's amazing to read some of the some of
  • 00:02:08
the emails that I get from people that
  • 00:02:10
get progress in their life from
  • 00:02:13
for applying some of the concepts that I
  • 00:02:15
teach I bought pretty much everything
  • 00:02:19
that I wanted every gadget every
  • 00:02:20
    electronics thing television compute
  • 00:02:22
like whatever I want gadget wise or
  • 00:02:24
books or you know anything I want
  • 00:02:26
    materially I basically have there's
  • 00:02:28
    there's like there's not much more I
  • 00:02:30
want I've pretty much exhausted all of
  • 00:02:32
my material desires except for maybe
  • 00:02:35
buying a house which I could do if I
  • 00:02:37
wanted to but I just don't want to tie
  • 00:02:39
myself down with that right now and my
  • 00:02:42
emotional and my mental development I
  • 00:02:45
feel like it's skyrocketing and growing
  • 00:02:49
at rates that I never imagined was even
  • 00:02:51
possible I thought that I already knew
  • 00:02:54
so much but it's like no there's more
  • 00:02:56
and then there's more and there's more
  • 00:02:57
and I'm just discovering that it's like
  • 00:02:59
    it's never-ending how much I can learn
  • 00:03:01
and how much I can grow myself and how
  • 00:03:03
good I can feel in my mind in my body on
  • 00:03:06
a daily basis so the reason I say all
  • 00:03:11
this is not to brag but just because I
  • 00:03:15
was at this retreat and I was really
  • 00:03:18
    having some deep conversations with
  • 00:03:19
people and one of the individuals I met
  • 00:03:21
there was this a 20 year old kid and he
  • 00:03:25
was inspiring guy because I just talked
  • 00:03:28
and listened to his story in fact I got
  • 00:03:30
a lot of people's stories there but his
  • 00:03:32
    story was interesting because he
  • 00:03:34
actually became an apprentice and he was
  • 00:03:36
at this at this consciousness thing for
  • 00:03:39
eight months straight he was living
  • 00:03:41
there full-time working at it full-time
  • 00:03:43
that was like his whole thing but before
  • 00:03:47
that he was basically just like an
  • 00:03:48
ordinary teenager ordinary kid who just
  • 00:03:52
played video games back to his thing was
  • 00:03:53
that he played Wow for like ten hours a
  • 00:03:55
day that was this thing just went to
  • 00:03:57
school [ __ ] with friends and played
  • 00:04:00
Wow for ten hours a day and that was his
  • 00:04:02
life and then he came here and he just
  • 00:04:04
    had this complete like mind-blowing
  • 00:04:08
    transformation and what was interesting
  • 00:04:11
is that he was learning consciousness
  • 00:04:12
work at this retreat and that's cool you
  • 00:04:15
know conscious work is a very specific
  • 00:04:16
thing it's a little different from self
  • 00:04:19
    improvement or personal development work
  • 00:04:20
but you know we just try to talk in and
  • 00:04:23
I was talking about what I do and the
  • 00:04:25
concepts that I talked about on my
  • 00:04:27
    channel
  • 00:04:27
fourth and he just got curious and we
  • 00:04:29
just started talking about and I was
  • 00:04:30
trying to like help him a little bit
  • 00:04:32
give him some advice about becoming a
  • 00:04:34
writer because he wanted to become a
  • 00:04:35
writer and one of the things he got from
  • 00:04:37
doing this conscious work is that he saw
  • 00:04:38
    that [ __ ] I'm wasting my life playing
  • 00:04:40
Wow 10 hours a day I should be working
  • 00:04:43
on my writing and so he actually started
  • 00:04:45
working on his writing started making
  • 00:04:46
plans for all that stuff but we started
  • 00:04:49
talking late at night and basically I
  • 00:04:51
    started exposing him to self-help
  • 00:04:53
material so some of the advice that I'm
  • 00:04:56
exposing you guys to here through these
  • 00:04:57
videos I was starting to expose him to
  • 00:05:01
some of that stuff and it was starting
  • 00:05:02
to blow his mind I could see it it's
  • 00:05:04
like he was listening to some of these
  • 00:05:06
concepts it was the first time he ever
  • 00:05:07
heard about some of these concepts even
  • 00:05:10
though he was doing conscious work and
  • 00:05:11
you know conscious northing I said is a
  • 00:05:12
different thing but it blew his mind
  • 00:05:15
because he's like oh like it's actually
  • 00:05:17
    possible to engineer systematically
  • 00:05:20
engineer an awesome life for oneself
  • 00:05:22
like it's possible to create an amazing
  • 00:05:23
career with passion it's possible to
  • 00:05:26
like get your financial freedom in life
  • 00:05:28
it's possible to like learn a lot about
  • 00:05:30
    relationships and about sexuality and
  • 00:05:32
all these other domains business and
  • 00:05:35
marketing and so forth and like set up
  • 00:05:37
an amazing lifestyle for yourself like
  • 00:05:39
it blew it was blowing his mind that
  • 00:05:41
this stuff is possible to do and yeah I
  • 00:05:43
was you know telling him more and more
  • 00:05:45
about this news getting curious but what
  • 00:05:47
shocked me was it was an epiphany for me
  • 00:05:49
was that he was shocked by the fact that
  • 00:05:53
these are possibilities for him and what
  • 00:05:57
clicked in my mind is I had to slot I'm
  • 00:05:59
    like oh my [ __ ] god
  • 00:06:02
ordinary people I'm so involved with
  • 00:06:04
self-improvement work that I'm like out
  • 00:06:07
of touch with the fact that ordinary
  • 00:06:08
people don't even know it's not that
  • 00:06:11
they don't know that there's personal
  • 00:06:13
development work that they should be
  • 00:06:16
doing it's like they don't even know
  • 00:06:17
that there is such a thing called self
  • 00:06:19
improvement at all this concept is
  • 00:06:21
completely foreign to most people like
  • 00:06:25
it was for this guy I was telling you
  • 00:06:28
about something seventies he's just like
  • 00:06:29
oh my god I never realized like I could
  • 00:06:31
actually live a life that's passionate
  • 00:06:33
and that feels like I'm alive that's
  • 00:06:36
like not what all my friends are doing
  • 00:06:38
and not what like my family is kind of
  • 00:06:41
    expects
  • 00:06:41
they need to do I just like thought that
  • 00:06:44
I was just like go working some regular
  • 00:06:47
job you know in a grocery store or
  • 00:06:48
something like this or bartending or
  • 00:06:51
whatever and maybe just work a little
  • 00:06:53
bit on my writing you know like that was
  • 00:06:54
kind of his plan and it blew my mind
  • 00:06:58
    because I realize like holy [ __ ] what
  • 00:07:01
needs to happen here more than me just
  • 00:07:04
communicating a bunch of techniques to
  • 00:07:06
you guys and concepts and advanced
  • 00:07:08
theory Theory collide ia's what needs to
  • 00:07:11
happen is just more communication of the
  • 00:07:13
vision of what you can create for
  • 00:07:15
yourself and what I really want you to
  • 00:07:19
buy into is the idea that there is this
  • 00:07:21
thing of self-improvement and not just a
  • 00:07:26
    20% self-improvement or like a 50%
  • 00:07:30
    self-improvement but like uh five
  • 00:07:33
    thousand percent twenty thousand percent
  • 00:07:36
    like life altering radically changing
  • 00:07:40
how you feel about life who you think
  • 00:07:42
you are in life what you're doing in
  • 00:07:43
life like completely wiping the slate
  • 00:07:45
clean and rebuilding yourself kind of
  • 00:07:49
self-improvement one of the problems is
  • 00:07:53
that most people don't really realize
  • 00:07:54
that this is out there this is possible
  • 00:07:56
it seems like a fantasy especially if
  • 00:07:59
you're stuck in an environment with
  • 00:08:01
friends and family who set a shitty
  • 00:08:03
example and the fact is that most
  • 00:08:05
friends and family set a shitty example
  • 00:08:08
including my own I came from a
  • 00:08:10
background where that was the case so I
  • 00:08:12
wasn't privileged in any way by having
  • 00:08:14
    some great well-functioning family in
  • 00:08:17
fact one of my main motives I think for
  • 00:08:19
getting into this work was because of
  • 00:08:21
how shitty the example was set by my
  • 00:08:24
parents so there's that but then there's
  • 00:08:27
also pop culture so you watch movies
  • 00:08:30
video games television all this kind of
  • 00:08:32
stuff Netflix Internet you just get
  • 00:08:34
sucked into all that and then pop
  • 00:08:36
    culture basically destroys your capacity
  • 00:08:38
to live a creative fully alive life and
  • 00:08:43
it robs you of this drive that you could
  • 00:08:45
have so this was an epiphany that I had
  • 00:08:48
I think that more needs to be said about
  • 00:08:51
this like just hammering this point home
  • 00:08:54
because I want you to see what you're
  • 00:08:57
missing out on in your life because I
  • 00:09:00
don't think you get it even if you're
  • 00:09:04
following this work even if you're
  • 00:09:05
    dabbling a bit in self-improvement I
  • 00:09:07
still don't think you get just how much
  • 00:09:11
you're leaving on the table right now
  • 00:09:14
and how much is possible for you so I
  • 00:09:18
want to share a little bit of my vision
  • 00:09:19
for what self-actualization is what I
  • 00:09:21
    call self-actualization this actually
  • 00:09:23
concept that I was inspired to take from
  • 00:09:26
Abraham Maslow who I think coined a term
  • 00:09:29
    self-actualization here's how he defines
  • 00:09:32
it it's the realization of one's
  • 00:09:34
    potentials capacities and talents the
  • 00:09:38
fulfillment of one's mission in life a
  • 00:09:40
    fuller knowledge of one's intrinsic
  • 00:09:43
nature getting really in touch with your
  • 00:09:46
authentic self and becoming a whole
  • 00:09:49
human being not the fragmented human
  • 00:09:52
being not the small petty human being
  • 00:09:54
that you are right now it's an unceasing
  • 00:09:57
    trend towards unity and integration
  • 00:10:01
within yourself Maslow said there are
  • 00:10:06
two types of pleasure scarcity pleasure
  • 00:10:09
    and abundance pleasure scarcity pleasure
  • 00:10:13
is the relief that one gets from the
  • 00:10:17
    loss of tension and anxiety
  • 00:10:21
    ringabel
  • 00:10:24
isn't that what you're doing with most
  • 00:10:26
of your goals in life right now is
  • 00:10:28
you're trying to reduce tension fear and
  • 00:10:31
anxiety and pain and this gives you a
  • 00:10:35
certain kind of pleasure when you do
  • 00:10:36
this a certain relief and you think that
  • 00:10:37
you're actually accomplishing a lot and
  • 00:10:39
it's a good first step but then consider
  • 00:10:44
    abundance pleasure abundance pleasure is
  • 00:10:47
the ecstasy at functioning at one's
  • 00:10:49
prime the ecstasy of functioning at once
  • 00:10:54
prime it's not just about fixing a
  • 00:10:58
dysfunction that you have it's not about
  • 00:11:01
curing your depression or it's not about
  • 00:11:04
fixing your crappy job and getting a
  • 00:11:06
    good job no
  • 00:11:08
it's about the bliss that you get from
  • 00:11:14
living an excellent virtuous life from
  • 00:11:15
acing life there's a very big difference
  • 00:11:18
from like failing at life to doing good
  • 00:11:21
in life to acing life that takes a whole
  • 00:11:26
new level of commitment I know a lot of
  • 00:11:29
    people who are relatively successful
  • 00:11:31
they earn 50 to $100,000 a year which is
  • 00:11:35
good enough to get them the kind of nice
  • 00:11:37
    basically comfortable carefree lifestyle
  • 00:11:40
that they want and sure they have some
  • 00:11:42
higher aspirations but but basically you
  • 00:11:44
know they're just kind of like living
  • 00:11:45
well which is easy enough to do in
  • 00:11:48
modern society but they're not really
  • 00:11:52
functioning at the peak of their
  • 00:11:54
potential I wouldn't really call these
  • 00:11:56
    people self actualized or self
  • 00:11:59
actualizing seif actualization is a this
  • 00:12:02
is an ideal you never really get some
  • 00:12:04
    ultimate destination it's a it's a trend
  • 00:12:08
an unceasing trend as Maslow says a
  • 00:12:12
trend towards what well it's the pursuit
  • 00:12:16
of the following is the pursuit of
  • 00:12:17
humanity it's the pursuit of creativity
  • 00:12:20
it's the pursuit of knowledge the
  • 00:12:23
    pursuit of fairness rationality
  • 00:12:27
    playfulness authentic love virtue truth
  • 00:12:34
beauty and a feeling of joy and real
  • 00:12:39
deep gratitude and fulfillment with life
  • 00:12:44
notice that this is not just getting
  • 00:12:48
security in life or getting comfort in
  • 00:12:51
life this is something very different
  • 00:12:53
than that if you're living your life for
  • 00:12:55
security and comfort which probably 90%
  • 00:13:00
of you are then you know that's a good
  • 00:13:04
start you got to start somewhere but
  • 00:13:08
that shouldn't be your vision your
  • 00:13:10
vision has to be higher it has to really
  • 00:13:13
tap into the ultimate of what a human
  • 00:13:17
being can be let me tell you little bit
  • 00:13:21
    about that
  • 00:13:22
what's possible for you what is possible
  • 00:13:25
for you if you really commit yourself to
  • 00:13:27
    a lifelong path of self-actualization
  • 00:13:30
work of working not just on the outside
  • 00:13:33
circumstances of your life but mostly
  • 00:13:36
    focusing on really the inside
  • 00:13:38
    circumstances your beliefs your
  • 00:13:41
attitudes your habits and patterns and
  • 00:13:45
so on there's a real huge difference
  • 00:13:50
between the regular life and the
  • 00:13:52
self-actualized life and you'll start to
  • 00:13:55
see more and more of it as I talk like I
  • 00:13:58
said it's living to the peak of human
  • 00:14:00
capability and most of us state we don't
  • 00:14:05
really know what the peak of human
  • 00:14:06
capability what this means because we're
  • 00:14:08
growing up in a culture around us and
  • 00:14:10
are the people that we grow up around
  • 00:14:12
    are probably pretty average they're
  • 00:14:14
    probably pretty neurotic and
  • 00:14:15
    dysfunctional they're not really
  • 00:14:16
superstars because even if once in a
  • 00:14:22
while you do encounter a superstar
  • 00:14:23
chances are he or she then exits and
  • 00:14:27
passes through your life because usually
  • 00:14:29
superstars want to associate with other
  • 00:14:30
superstars that's one of the secrets of
  • 00:14:35
of moving up in life associating with
  • 00:14:38
    really ambitious people who really
  • 00:14:40
understand this vision for what they can
  • 00:14:43
get out of life and they're really
  • 00:14:44
bought into it and if you grew up an
  • 00:14:46
    environment where your parents or
  • 00:14:49
friends or siblings they weren't bought
  • 00:14:50
in and your co-workers weren't bought in
  • 00:14:52
and so forth then you don't even know
  • 00:14:54
what's going on like what is possible
  • 00:14:57
for you you think that what's possible
  • 00:14:59
for you is just what's possible for the
  • 00:15:00
common herd like a cow who grows up in a
  • 00:15:04
factory farm doesn't really know what
  • 00:15:08
it's like to really be a a cow who lives
  • 00:15:10
on a green beautiful pasture out in out
  • 00:15:15
of nature all he sees is just the
  • 00:15:18
feedlots and all the other cows crammed
  • 00:15:21
in together in some aluminum shed which
  • 00:15:26
is not how you're designed to live
  • 00:15:30
    imagine for a minute
  • 00:15:34
a moment in your life where you felt the
  • 00:15:36
most alive with creative energy where
  • 00:15:42
you were giddy with creativity you were
  • 00:15:45
working on something or you had some
  • 00:15:46
brilliant idea or maybe some artistic
  • 00:15:48
inspiration or you were just blown away
  • 00:15:51
by something that you read and you
  • 00:15:52
wanted to do more with that or you were
  • 00:15:54
blown away why by piece of music or you
  • 00:15:56
blown away by something you saw in the
  • 00:15:58
movies or maybe you were blown away by
  • 00:16:00
something you saw out in nature or you
  • 00:16:02
were moved by some speaker that you
  • 00:16:03
    heard speaking giving a motivational
  • 00:16:05
speech or whatever imagine right now
  • 00:16:09
conjure up a memory from the past you
  • 00:16:11
have one of these memories where you
  • 00:16:12
really felt creatively alive and maybe
  • 00:16:17
you have to go back 10 20 30 years to
  • 00:16:20
find this moment all the way back maybe
  • 00:16:23
to your childhood but you can find one
  • 00:16:24
of these moments and go ahead and just
  • 00:16:29
close your eyes for just a few seconds
  • 00:16:31
and try to recall the emotions in your
  • 00:16:34
body that you actually felt when you
  • 00:16:37
were creatively alive and really juiced
  • 00:16:40
up and really like ready to go do
  • 00:16:43
something in the world close your eyes
  • 00:16:48
right now and picture that try to get a
  • 00:16:51
little bit of that feeling back in your
  • 00:16:52
body if you can here's what's possible
  • 00:17:00
you got that feeling here's what's
  • 00:17:02
    possible what's possible and you're
  • 00:17:05
probably not going to believe this but
  • 00:17:08
what's possible is that you can live
  • 00:17:10
every single day of your life
  • 00:17:12
    feeling that way consistently every
  • 00:17:17
single day waking up charged and feeling
  • 00:17:22
alive and eager going through your whole
  • 00:17:24
day creating and stoking up even more of
  • 00:17:27
that energy and then going to sleep
  • 00:17:30
after a whole day of work and all this
  • 00:17:33
kind of creative cool stuff that you do
  • 00:17:35
and all these ideas that you have and
  • 00:17:37
going to sleep almost more excited than
  • 00:17:40
when you woke up because you got so much
  • 00:17:42
done and now there's so much more to do
  • 00:17:46
    that's what
  • 00:17:47
possible it's possible to turn your work
  • 00:17:52
into your top passion it's possible to
  • 00:17:57
be creatively driven in your life and to
  • 00:18:02
have that imbue and soak through into
  • 00:18:04
every aspect and facet of your life from
  • 00:18:06
your relationships to your finances to
  • 00:18:09
your health to everything else it's
  • 00:18:12
possible to really make the most
  • 00:18:14
    meaningful contribution that you can
  • 00:18:16
possibly make to the world it's possible
  • 00:18:18
to actually live that and to do that to
  • 00:18:22
be a leader to be someone who's
  • 00:18:24
inspirational to others it's possible to
  • 00:18:28
free yourself of your neuroses and your
  • 00:18:31
fears and any kind of other limitations
  • 00:18:33
that hold you back and SAP this
  • 00:18:35
aliveness feeling that you were just
  • 00:18:39
    experiencing when you were visualizing
  • 00:18:43
your memory it's possible to remove all
  • 00:18:48
those balls and chains that are tied to
  • 00:18:50
your feet that are holding you back to
  • 00:18:53
break all the shackles and it's possible
  • 00:19:01
to really learn and master all the key
  • 00:19:03
areas of life career wealth health
  • 00:19:09
    friendships intimate relationship
  • 00:19:12
self-esteem and confidence so you have
  • 00:19:15
    really strong confidence in yourself
  • 00:19:18
    really full self-acceptance you're like
  • 00:19:20
a fully integrated human being where you
  • 00:19:23
    don't browbeat yourself you don't
  • 00:19:24
sabotage yourself you don't feel guilty
  • 00:19:26
you don't feel shameful you don't feel
  • 00:19:28
sad you don't feel nihilistic you don't
  • 00:19:31
feel depressed you don't feel angry
  • 00:19:32
towards others you don't feel critical
  • 00:19:34
you don't feel negative at all you can
  • 00:19:38
learn to shed all those habits those are
  • 00:19:41
all internal toxic habits that you think
  • 00:19:44
is just the norm and part and parcel of
  • 00:19:48
being a human being but it's not it's
  • 00:19:52
just that the society we grew up in we
  • 00:19:56
think it's kind of a good society but
  • 00:19:57
    it's a it's a really toxic society toxic
  • 00:20:00
    culture
  • 00:20:01
environment and we just we just
  • 00:20:03
normalize to it and we think that asks
  • 00:20:06
    what's normal and that's what's typical
  • 00:20:09
and that anything else seems like it's a
  • 00:20:11
fairy tale or it's only for certain
  • 00:20:13
kinds of people who are special in some
  • 00:20:15
way or who've been privileged or have a
  • 00:20:17
lot of money or some other thing like
  • 00:20:20
that but that's not the case at all it's
  • 00:20:26
also possible to learn and master
  • 00:20:28
emotional development so you can really
  • 00:20:30
master your emotions and of course your
  • 00:20:34
family life all those family issues that
  • 00:20:37
you have not just I'm not talking about
  • 00:20:39
just removing all the problems from all
  • 00:20:42
these different domains of life like
  • 00:20:44
career wealth health family friends and
  • 00:20:46
so forth I'm talking about like acing
  • 00:20:49
and excelling and being superb and
  • 00:20:53
deriving bliss in each one of these
  • 00:20:56
categories right but this takes work
  • 00:21:01
this is not something you get easily
  • 00:21:03
this takes a lifelong commitment to self
  • 00:21:05
    self-actualization work a lifelong
  • 00:21:08
commitment to self improvement and a
  • 00:21:10
    lifelong commitment to learning about
  • 00:21:14
all the deep material that you need to
  • 00:21:17
learn all the conceptual frameworks and
  • 00:21:19
theories and techniques that you need to
  • 00:21:20
learn for for mastering all these areas
  • 00:21:24
which is what I was talking about with
  • 00:21:26
this guy at the at the retreat you know
  • 00:21:28
we were talking with this I was talking
  • 00:21:29
with this kid and um you know telling
  • 00:21:33
him that there are all these different
  • 00:21:34
categories you can improve yourself in
  • 00:21:36
all these different categories you can
  • 00:21:37
rank yourself on how good you are right
  • 00:21:39
now in each one of these categories how
  • 00:21:41
much suffering you have or how much
  • 00:21:42
bliss you get from each one of those and
  • 00:21:44
then you can take on a systematic effort
  • 00:21:47
to master each one of these areas career
  • 00:21:50
    your wealth health self-esteem family
  • 00:21:53
and intimate relationships and so forth
  • 00:21:55
and you can lock each one of these down
  • 00:21:57
systematically over time and you can buy
  • 00:21:59
books and you go to seminars you can
  • 00:22:01
find videos and so forth and you can get
  • 00:22:04
coaching and you can learn from experts
  • 00:22:06
who have aged all these areas you can
  • 00:22:09
put it all together for yourself and
  • 00:22:11
this is not a fantasy this is not this
  • 00:22:13
is nothing that's like you know
  • 00:22:15
it's not like winning the lottery it's
  • 00:22:16
not like an accident that maybe it'll
  • 00:22:18
    happen for me someday
  • 00:22:19
no it's guarantee that it'll happen for
  • 00:22:20
you if you just commit to it and you put
  • 00:22:23
forth work every single day it will
  • 00:22:26
happen for you let me share some what I
  • 00:22:32
call kick-ass goals that you might want
  • 00:22:34
to set for yourself as you're thinking
  • 00:22:36
about your vision for the future because
  • 00:22:39
what I really want to get across to you
  • 00:22:41
here is you need to have a much larger
  • 00:22:42
vision for your life than you currently
  • 00:22:44
have not five times larger or not
  • 00:22:47
telling like a hundred times larger than
  • 00:22:49
what you currently have you're selling
  • 00:22:52
yourself very short and you're setting
  • 00:22:54
your goals very low you need some much
  • 00:22:58
    more inspiring higher consciousness
  • 00:23:01
goals to shoot for so let me just give
  • 00:23:05
you a little list of some stuff that
  • 00:23:07
might be interesting for you that might
  • 00:23:09
really get you excited to to do the
  • 00:23:12
    self-actualization work how about this
  • 00:23:16
one for starters how about you can
  • 00:23:19
create a life where you never have to
  • 00:23:20
worry about money ever again never have
  • 00:23:24
    to worry about it
  • 00:23:25
because you're always guaranteed to get
  • 00:23:28
more how about a life where your work is
  • 00:23:33
not work but it's like play it's your
  • 00:23:36
greatest joy and you're doing service to
  • 00:23:40
the world that really means something to
  • 00:23:42
you and lights you up and brings you
  • 00:23:45
deep joy and satisfaction how about
  • 00:23:51
    developing full emotional control
  • 00:23:52
I mean conquering your depression your
  • 00:23:56
anxiety boredom and pain and suffering
  • 00:24:00
anger and negative thinking and fear how
  • 00:24:03
about conquering all of those because
  • 00:24:06
you can if you want to
  • 00:24:10
    how about developing yourself beyond
  • 00:24:13
that to become a really grounded
  • 00:24:15
    emotionally imperturbable human being
  • 00:24:20
whatever I think about this I think
  • 00:24:22
about Marcus Aurelius the Roman Emperor
  • 00:24:26
    whose whole thing was
  • 00:24:30
emotional mastery living a noble life
  • 00:24:33
being grounded being rock solid it's
  • 00:24:36
kind of a stoic ideal stoicism you can
  • 00:24:41
    develop that as well
  • 00:24:42
and it's a lot easier these days
  • 00:24:44
actually than it was 2,000 years ago
  • 00:24:47
German during a Marcus's time because we
  • 00:24:50
    have so much more psychological
  • 00:24:53
    understanding we know pretty much
  • 00:24:54
everything about how the human mind
  • 00:24:56
    works we've mapped out psychologically
  • 00:24:58
almost every neurosis and also every
  • 00:25:01
ideal and potential of the human mind
  • 00:25:04
and every capability that there is so
  • 00:25:08
all that knowledge is available to you
  • 00:25:09
right now really easily really cheaply
  • 00:25:11
very efficiently how about as a goal to
  • 00:25:18
have deep understanding of how the world
  • 00:25:20
    works like real satisfying deep
  • 00:25:24
knowledge that makes you feel at home in
  • 00:25:28
    the world because you literally
  • 00:25:29
    understand everything you need to
  • 00:25:31
    understand about life that's very
  • 00:25:34
    possible
  • 00:25:34
in fact I'm feeling more and more that
  • 00:25:38
I'm getting to that place and I'm going
  • 00:25:41
to be there very soon and it's a really
  • 00:25:43
satisfying feeling how about a really
  • 00:25:48
    successful intimate relationship that's
  • 00:25:51
    pretty rare a really successful
  • 00:25:54
    fulfilling intimate relationship that's
  • 00:25:56
very rare very rare very very rare most
  • 00:26:03
people have no idea how to create that
  • 00:26:05
for themselves how about amazing sex
  • 00:26:10
also very rare sex is an interesting one
  • 00:26:14
because sex can be a low consciousness
  • 00:26:16
value it can also be a very high
  • 00:26:18
consciousness value depends on how you
  • 00:26:20
think about sex how mature you are about
  • 00:26:22
sex how really how much you've studied
  • 00:26:26
    and developed yourself sexually the
  • 00:26:29
ability to have multiple orgasms really
  • 00:26:31
deep intimate sex really dominant sex
  • 00:26:37
squirting hypnosis there's so much you
  • 00:26:40
    can do with sex
  • 00:26:44
Tantra you can use sex for for
  • 00:26:49
    enlightenment it's quite and quite
  • 00:26:51
incredible what you can do with sex it's
  • 00:26:53
a really deep field that most people
  • 00:26:54
never even bother to study they have
  • 00:26:59
even no clue that they can go so far
  • 00:27:01
with sex no clue at all how about
  • 00:27:06
    confidence really developing yourself
  • 00:27:08
    developing your core confidence so
  • 00:27:11
you're really sure about yourself your
  • 00:27:13
    decisive you're assertive you accept
  • 00:27:16
yourself fully your flaws and your
  • 00:27:18
weaknesses you accept those too it's not
  • 00:27:21
about becoming perfect and kind of
  • 00:27:24
cultivating this kind of deep self-love
  • 00:27:26
where you love yourself as you are even
  • 00:27:30
with all your imperfections that's a
  • 00:27:34
    pretty worthwhile goal
  • 00:27:37
    how about traveling hobbies really
  • 00:27:40
putting yourself into a place where you
  • 00:27:42
can savor the full richness of life life
  • 00:27:45
in the 21st century offers so many
  • 00:27:47
    incredible hobbies and adventures and
  • 00:27:50
places to travel to you can travel all
  • 00:27:52
around the world you can see amazing
  • 00:27:54
monuments and sites you go to amazing
  • 00:27:56
    restaurants you cannot engage in
  • 00:27:58
    incredible hobbies probably hobbies that
  • 00:28:00
you didn't even think existed and that
  • 00:28:03
    certainly didn't exist several hundred
  • 00:28:06
years ago all of that is available quite
  • 00:28:08
affordably these days you can really
  • 00:28:11
sample the richness that the entire
  • 00:28:12
planet offers before you die it's pretty
  • 00:28:19
worthwhile goal I think really see what
  • 00:28:23
the world is about see how it functions
  • 00:28:26
see how other cultures and people
  • 00:28:29
function how about as another goal
  • 00:28:33
physical vitality and energy not feeling
  • 00:28:36
exhausted not feeling drained like you
  • 00:28:38
do after you come back from work dead
  • 00:28:42
tired fat and overweight and not strong
  • 00:28:46
kind of weak and anemic how about
  • 00:28:49
instead the opposite of all that you're
  • 00:28:51
energetic your vitality z' ah just
  • 00:28:55
shooting out of you just is kind of
  • 00:28:57
radiance of a live energy that comes to
  • 00:29:02
force through you physical strength and
  • 00:29:05
    flexibility and endurance and enough
  • 00:29:08
energy to get through the day without
  • 00:29:09
having to be liquored up on coffee and
  • 00:29:12
energy drinks and pip pills and all this
  • 00:29:15
other kind of crap and then of course
  • 00:29:18
    transferring that beautiful energy that
  • 00:29:19
physical vitality into into the bedroom
  • 00:29:25
how about rich and rewarding friendships
  • 00:29:29
not the kind of crappy friends you have
  • 00:29:31
or just like your victim companions who
  • 00:29:34
you all get together in [ __ ] and moan
  • 00:29:35
with but like really uh friends that are
  • 00:29:39
inspiring to you who are out there who
  • 00:29:41
are superstars or acing life just like
  • 00:29:44
you are who are self actualizing and
  • 00:29:46
getting a circle of those kind of
  • 00:29:47
friends around you friends who challenge
  • 00:29:49
and push you and who share the richness
  • 00:29:51
of the world with you how about as a
  • 00:29:55
goal becoming a leader of other human
  • 00:29:58
beings and inspiring them and being a
  • 00:30:01
role model and setting an example with
  • 00:30:04
your own life that inspires others and
  • 00:30:07
moves others to become great how about
  • 00:30:13
being creative to the ultimate degree
  • 00:30:17
and advancing humanity in a meaningful
  • 00:30:19
way whether through invention or art or
  • 00:30:23
    scientific discovery or product creation
  • 00:30:27
    consumer products technology and so
  • 00:30:32
forth how about breaking free of the rat
  • 00:30:38
race your 95 job the two weeks of crappy
  • 00:30:45
vacation that you get and the toxic pop
  • 00:30:48
culture that you are inundated with
  • 00:30:51
    every single day television internet
  • 00:30:55
social media smartphone breaking free of
  • 00:30:59
that how about living a life with
  • 00:31:05
integrity a life based on principles for
  • 00:31:10
    their own
  • 00:31:10
sake so you can feel like you've lived a
  • 00:31:14
noble life when you're dead like your
  • 00:31:19
life was extraordinary in the full sense
  • 00:31:23
of that word and that you're really
  • 00:31:27
proud of the kind of life you lived this
  • 00:31:30
intense pride for your life not in an
  • 00:31:33
arrogant gloating sort of way but
  • 00:31:36
actually in a very humble sort of way
  • 00:31:37
where you realize and you're grateful
  • 00:31:39
for how lucky you've been and all the
  • 00:31:41
great stuff that's happened to you and
  • 00:31:43
all the great people and things that
  • 00:31:44
have come into your life that you've
  • 00:31:45
been able to seize those opportunities
  • 00:31:47
and make something out of those and
  • 00:31:50
pride in the fact that you actually
  • 00:31:52
    committed yourself to making something
  • 00:31:53
more of yourself than the average person
  • 00:31:56
does and that you somehow left the world
  • 00:32:00
better off than when you came into it
  • 00:32:03
    through your work how about
  • 00:32:09
    enlightenment how about realizing the
  • 00:32:11
    true existential nature of yourself
  • 00:32:14
other people and reality that's possible
  • 00:32:19
for you did you know that did you know
  • 00:32:21
that you can discover the answers to
  • 00:32:25
    those questions
  • 00:32:27
    philosophical type questions that you
  • 00:32:29
would think there are no answers to well
  • 00:32:31
    actually you can get experiential
  • 00:32:35
answers to those questions very profound
  • 00:32:37
    answers that will completely transform
  • 00:32:40
how you see life and people it will even
  • 00:32:45
transform how you see life and death
  • 00:32:48
including your own death how about as a
  • 00:32:56
goal having the time to contemplate and
  • 00:32:58
reflect on life to really appreciate and
  • 00:33:01
see the beauty of life to savor that
  • 00:33:02
beauty not just to be running around a
  • 00:33:07
hamster in a wheel all the time frantic
  • 00:33:09
and doing this and that and bouncing
  • 00:33:11
between 20 different things with a full
  • 00:33:12
schedule and trying to juggle ten
  • 00:33:14
different balls in the air and being all
  • 00:33:17
neurotic and and anxious about not
  • 00:33:19
having time to even when you have your
  • 00:33:20
    victories your little petty victories
  • 00:33:22
when you have those you don't have any
  • 00:33:24
    time to really
  • 00:33:24
select and contemplate and savor them do
  • 00:33:26
you know you're just rushing through you
  • 00:33:30
just going through the motions how about
  • 00:33:32
as a goal though that you actually make
  • 00:33:34
that time for yourself you actually do
  • 00:33:37
more with less time and you leave time
  • 00:33:40
open to really savor and appreciate the
  • 00:33:42
beauty of life and how about is your
  • 00:33:47
ultimate goal that when you're lying on
  • 00:33:50
your deathbed you die with a smile on
  • 00:33:54
your face without fearing death without
  • 00:33:59
all the regrets that normal people have
  • 00:34:01
when they die but really understanding
  • 00:34:05
that you went all out and you soaked in
  • 00:34:09
everything that life had to offer all
  • 00:34:10
the richness and all the possibility
  • 00:34:12
that you really sees as much of it as
  • 00:34:15
you could not perfectly but you seized
  • 00:34:16
as much of it as you reasonably could be
  • 00:34:19
expected to and dying knowing that you
  • 00:34:26
    accomplished everything there was to
  • 00:34:27
accomplish here on earth and you've
  • 00:34:29
savored everything that there was to
  • 00:34:31
savor with this human body apparatus
  • 00:34:34
that you've been given did you know that
  • 00:34:39
that's possible for you as a goal these
  • 00:34:42
things they might sound like a pipe
  • 00:34:43
dream these might sound like wishful
  • 00:34:44
thinking they're not these are all very
  • 00:34:48
practical pragmatic things that you can
  • 00:34:51
set as specific goals for yourself and
  • 00:34:54
you can achieve them and not just like
  • 00:34:57
checking off a bucket list that's not
  • 00:34:59
what I'm talking about here I'm talking
  • 00:35:00
about really transforming the very core
  • 00:35:05
of your being to embody all of these
  • 00:35:07
things and to not just achieve them but
  • 00:35:10
to be fulfilled by them and to savor
  • 00:35:13
them and to really appreciate them and
  • 00:35:15
be grateful for them that's what I talk
  • 00:35:19
about when I talk about my vision for a
  • 00:35:22
self actualized life when I think about
  • 00:35:24
    self-actualization it's a pretty
  • 00:35:26
abstract term it could mean a lot of
  • 00:35:29
things for a lot of different people it
  • 00:35:31
    might just mean general self-improvement
  • 00:35:32
to you it just might mean like Oh
  • 00:35:34
getting a better job or earning some
  • 00:35:35
more money or something I know to me
  • 00:35:37
what it means is in me
  • 00:35:38
    these more noble higher consciousness
  • 00:35:41
ideals the kind of stuff that most of us
  • 00:35:44
don't even think about ever in life like
  • 00:35:48
10 years for the average person 10 years
  • 00:35:50
could go by and not one of these goals
  • 00:35:53
that I talked about would even be
  • 00:35:54
considered as possible or really be
  • 00:35:56
seriously pursued so this is what's
  • 00:36:01
possible for you now notice this is
  • 00:36:06
different than just being rich or
  • 00:36:07
successful I don't really like to push
  • 00:36:11
being rich and just being successful for
  • 00:36:14
me here the emphasis and the difference
  • 00:36:16
is on personal emotional growth because
  • 00:36:21
I know rich and successful people quote
  • 00:36:24
unquote successful people who do not
  • 00:36:28
touch many of these goals that I talked
  • 00:36:31
about and I wouldn't really call them
  • 00:36:32
    self actualizing people because they're
  • 00:36:38
not really emphasizing their own inner
  • 00:36:40
    transformation emotional growth maturity
  • 00:36:45
spiritual growth you might say although
  • 00:36:47
I really like that word spiritual growth
  • 00:36:49
might be a good way to put it
  • 00:36:51
    so that's what's possible now I was
  • 00:36:58
talking about some of the stuff with
  • 00:36:59
with this kid at the retreat and he was
  • 00:37:03
getting excited by these very curious
  • 00:37:04
about me spent a lot of time he spent
  • 00:37:06
several hours talking about all this
  • 00:37:07
    kind of stuff
  • 00:37:08
I gave him various tips that I um that I
  • 00:37:12
give you guys through through these
  • 00:37:13
videos one of these he asked me says he
  • 00:37:17
asked me so Leah are you happy now was
  • 00:37:21
    an interesting question because I
  • 00:37:22
thought about them like yeah am i happy
  • 00:37:25
and at the time I was actually quite
  • 00:37:28
frustrated doing conscious work is is a
  • 00:37:31
really surefire way to make oneself
  • 00:37:34
frustrated and actually I was at that
  • 00:37:37
point my life were I was thinking
  • 00:37:39
through a lot of stuff working through a
  • 00:37:40
lot of stuff I wasn't really happy but
  • 00:37:43
one thing I could say is that I was
  • 00:37:45
    fulfilled
  • 00:37:50
    fulfillment versus happiness happiness
  • 00:37:53
is like an emotion it comes it goes
  • 00:37:55
sometimes you feel sad sometimes you
  • 00:37:57
feel frustrated or angry or pissed off
  • 00:37:59
or afraid or whatever it goes up and
  • 00:38:02
    down fulfillment though fulfillment is
  • 00:38:06
what you experience when you're on the
  • 00:38:09
self actualizing journey when you know
  • 00:38:12
that you really are self actualizing
  • 00:38:14
when you've started when you've gotten
  • 00:38:16
past the couple first years of real you
  • 00:38:19
know rocky ground or you're falling off
  • 00:38:22
track a lot you're not sure if any of
  • 00:38:23
this stuff works once you get past that
  • 00:38:25
and you finally commit to self actually
  • 00:38:27
[ __ ] and you see that it's possible you
  • 00:38:29
see that all this is possible and you're
  • 00:38:31
going for a now full-bore on and stuff
  • 00:38:36
    is clicking for you
  • 00:38:37
that's when fulfillment starts to come
  • 00:38:40
fulfillment it's just like this general
  • 00:38:43
sense of that you've got life handled or
  • 00:38:48
that even those aspects of life that you
  • 00:38:50
don't have handled you'll handle those
  • 00:38:51
and then ultimately you see the beauty
  • 00:38:54
of life you see how much there is to
  • 00:38:57
appreciate and you know even though I'm
  • 00:39:00
not happy all the time you know I would
  • 00:39:03
bet that most of you think that I'm
  • 00:39:04
happier than I actually am on a daily
  • 00:39:06
    basis which is false that's that's a
  • 00:39:11
wrong assumption on your part I'm not
  • 00:39:12
that happy but what you probably
  • 00:39:14
underestimate us how fulfilled I am
  • 00:39:17
generally speaking like I'm at the point
  • 00:39:20
in my life and I'm not trying to brag
  • 00:39:21
here but I'm just trying to show you
  • 00:39:23
like what's possible because most people
  • 00:39:25
don't believe that this is possible it
  • 00:39:27
    sounds hokey
  • 00:39:28
and you know what 5-10 years ago I
  • 00:39:31
probably wouldn't have believed it as
  • 00:39:33
well but right now I'm at the point my
  • 00:39:36
life where I get tears tears of joy like
  • 00:39:40
literally tears of joy that pour down my
  • 00:39:43
cheeks at least once a week when I
  • 00:39:46
reflect on the quality of my life and
  • 00:39:48
also the trajectory of my life and also
  • 00:39:51
what I've accomplished in my life and
  • 00:39:52
what I'm doing and the impact that I'm
  • 00:39:55
having on other human beings so like
  • 00:39:58
tears like tears right um this is one of
  • 00:40:03
    the most profound
  • 00:40:04
own feelings that you'll get and
  • 00:40:06
probably the most inspiring reason to
  • 00:40:10
become self actualizing and to do this
  • 00:40:13
work is because at one point you will
  • 00:40:15
reach this point in your life I
  • 00:40:16
guarantee it if you do this work where
  • 00:40:18
you will just sit down you will look at
  • 00:40:20
life and you'll just have tears thinking
  • 00:40:28
about how privileged you are to be able
  • 00:40:39
to to experience this because this is
  • 00:40:44
very easy for me to imagine a life where
  • 00:40:46
I was born and I grew up and just the
  • 00:40:49
universe reality or society or whatever
  • 00:40:52
was so constructed that basically I was
  • 00:40:54
not able to get any of this right none
  • 00:40:58
of this was bit would be possible either
  • 00:41:00
because I'm living in some sort of
  • 00:41:01
    dictatorship regime or because human
  • 00:41:05
technology hasn't evolved let's say if
  • 00:41:07
I'm living 10,000 years ago or because
  • 00:41:11
because we don't have the knowledge and
  • 00:41:14
information available to allow this kind
  • 00:41:15
of stuff or because it's way too
  • 00:41:17
expensive like it might have been a
  • 00:41:20
thousand years ago or because the
  • 00:41:24
government doesn't have the laws that
  • 00:41:25
allow it or even because human
  • 00:41:28
psychology is different and it doesn't
  • 00:41:29
allow it what if you were born a
  • 00:41:31
    chimpanzee self-actualization would
  • 00:41:35
probably not work for you so well right
  • 00:41:36
and you probably couldn't really do the
  • 00:41:38
things you could do as a human being
  • 00:41:40
we're really privileged to have been
  • 00:41:42
born as human beings and not something
  • 00:41:44
else in a sense we're also cursed but if
  • 00:41:49
you can conquer that curse you can get
  • 00:41:55
to the to the highest potential of
  • 00:41:57
humanity that's a really beautiful thing
  • 00:42:01
it really starts to change how you see
  • 00:42:03
humanity for a long time in my youth
  • 00:42:06
when I was in my kind of philosophical
  • 00:42:08
phase I'm doing a lot of philosophy I
  • 00:42:09
was I was very misanthropic and I kind
  • 00:42:12
of hated humanity hated society and
  • 00:42:14
hated all the evil stuff that it does
  • 00:42:18
    and there's a you know there's a lot of
  • 00:42:19
    truth to that low consciousness
  • 00:42:22
humanities really ugly but also what
  • 00:42:25
starts to happen once you do the self
  • 00:42:26
actualization we can start to see that
  • 00:42:28
    actually there's high conscious humanity
  • 00:42:29
    - and that's basically what you're
  • 00:42:32
working for and you're working towards
  • 00:42:34
    you're working towards moving yourself
  • 00:42:36
out of low conscious humanity towards
  • 00:42:38
higher conscious humanity and when you
  • 00:42:40
get here and you live from this place
  • 00:42:42
what happens is that all this nastiness
  • 00:42:45
over here just kind of dissolves it all
  • 00:42:47
    becomes understood you just become
  • 00:42:49
peaceful about it you accept that you
  • 00:42:51
understand it you can even love it
  • 00:42:54
that's what it means to be a fully
  • 00:42:57
integrated and whole human being you
  • 00:43:02
accept reality as it is not as some
  • 00:43:08
ideal but as it actually is and this is
  • 00:43:13
    out of most people's wildest
  • 00:43:19
    imaginations about what's possible I
  • 00:43:21
    can't really even describe and
  • 00:43:24
    articulate all the crazy [ __ ] that's
  • 00:43:27
possible all the amazing stuff that's
  • 00:43:28
possible for you in this work it's hard
  • 00:43:32
I have to sit down and really think
  • 00:43:33
about all this stuff before I came up
  • 00:43:34
here and started talking about it
  • 00:43:35
because there's so much and I really
  • 00:43:39
struggle it takes me a lot of time
  • 00:43:40
thinking about this stuff to fully
  • 00:43:42
articulate in a concise way and this is
  • 00:43:47
not a short video all these points so at
  • 00:43:54
this point you might be wondering okay
  • 00:43:55
Leo how do I self actualize what should
  • 00:43:57
    I do
  • 00:43:57
how do we take this from the vision to
  • 00:44:00
actual reality well it's true you need
  • 00:44:02
both right you need the vision you need
  • 00:44:05
the ideal to inspire you but that's not
  • 00:44:08
enough this is not the secret this is
  • 00:44:11
not Law of Attraction we just get a sick
  • 00:44:14
back and just wish and have your vision
  • 00:44:15
and it's all done for you
  • 00:44:17
no not that easy I'll give you a couple
  • 00:44:22
of steps no real practical steps you can
  • 00:44:24
start doing today step number one is
  • 00:44:27
knowledge you need knowledge to self
  • 00:44:29
actualize one thing you're lacking is
  • 00:44:32
    accurate high-quality information how do
  • 00:44:39
you acquire that well first you make a
  • 00:44:40
commitment to become a lifelong learner
  • 00:44:43
learning should be a top priority in
  • 00:44:45
    your life learning through thinking
  • 00:44:48
through reading books through talking to
  • 00:44:50
people through going to seminars and etc
  • 00:44:53
etc all the different ways you can learn
  • 00:44:55
taking notes keeping a journal keeping a
  • 00:44:58
diary this is mandatory this is not
  • 00:45:03
optional learning does not stop after
  • 00:45:05
high school or college or after your PhD
  • 00:45:08
is done here's a really good tip invest
  • 00:45:15
10% of your income every year into
  • 00:45:17
learning that means if you make fifty
  • 00:45:21
thousand five thousand a year invest it
  • 00:45:25
    into books seminars self-help products
  • 00:45:29
therapy coaching or whatever other way
  • 00:45:31
you can use to learn get creative with
  • 00:45:34
it you'll actually find it's quite
  • 00:45:37
challenging to spend ten percent of your
  • 00:45:38
income on learning if you are in a
  • 00:45:40
hundred thousand dollars a year right
  • 00:45:41
now then that means ten thousand dollars
  • 00:45:44
a year on learning and then once you
  • 00:45:50
spend that money then you have to create
  • 00:45:52
the time to actually read all those
  • 00:45:54
books or listen to all those seminars
  • 00:45:56
and so forth step number two start
  • 00:46:02
making small changes in your life right
  • 00:46:03
now you don't need any huge drastic
  • 00:46:06
things like quitting your job and
  • 00:46:08
becoming a millionaire to start this
  • 00:46:10
process so the first thing you're going
  • 00:46:13
to do is become a learner you can do
  • 00:46:15
that right now even if you're poor you
  • 00:46:17
can go buy a couple of books for twenty
  • 00:46:19
bucks that will change your life
  • 00:46:22
second step like I said is sort making
  • 00:46:25
small changes what I mean by that is
  • 00:46:26
eliminate toxic habits the most toxic
  • 00:46:28
have is you have eliminate those start
  • 00:46:31
building good habits start building a
  • 00:46:33
    strong morning routine healthy morning
  • 00:46:36
routine that inspires you and energizes
  • 00:46:39
you and I have other videos and episodes
  • 00:46:42
where I talk about bad habits good
  • 00:46:45
habits and so forth I'll give you a lot
  • 00:46:46
of ideas for different habits you can
  • 00:46:48
create meditation would be one great
  • 00:46:50
habit to install one or two bad habits
  • 00:46:54
to remove would be eating unhealthy
  • 00:46:58
foods especially wheat products lots of
  • 00:47:00
sugar eliminate those or if you drink or
  • 00:47:04
if you smoke or ingest any kind of drugs
  • 00:47:07
    eliminating those or limiting your
  • 00:47:09
    negative thinking habit eliminating your
  • 00:47:14
social media / internet / TV habit so
  • 00:47:21
you get the idea there these are little
  • 00:47:24
things you can do without quitting your
  • 00:47:26
job and without leaving your marriage
  • 00:47:27
and so forth little things start with
  • 00:47:29
little things it will add up before you
  • 00:47:33
can make really big inspiring changes in
  • 00:47:35
your life sometimes you just got to get
  • 00:47:36
like the basics down you can't make a
  • 00:47:39
big inspiring change in your life win
  • 00:47:41
for example you go binge drinking every
  • 00:47:43
Friday and Saturday and just totally
  • 00:47:45
waste yourself not going to work so fix
  • 00:47:48
that first fix the basics there's a lot
  • 00:47:51
of [ __ ] you could fix right now in your
  • 00:47:52
life that's just like very basic stuff
  • 00:47:56
and then emotional mastery focus your
  • 00:48:00
attention on mastering your emotions at
  • 00:48:02
least a little bit especially the most
  • 00:48:04
negative emotions for example if you
  • 00:48:06
have crippling low self-esteem if you
  • 00:48:08
have anger issues if you have rage
  • 00:48:09
issues if you're constantly critical of
  • 00:48:12
the world if you're constantly negative
  • 00:48:14
if you're a troll if you're crippled by
  • 00:48:21
fear if you have a lot of negative
  • 00:48:23
limiting beliefs and if you play the
  • 00:48:25
victim all the time and you blame other
  • 00:48:27
people for why your life is so miserable
  • 00:48:31
then those are all areas you need to
  • 00:48:34
start addressing now how do you dress
  • 00:48:36
all those there as well I have a lot of
  • 00:48:38
videos on it all these various topics
  • 00:48:40
but also you can go read books seminars
  • 00:48:43
see step number one for that it's not
  • 00:48:46
rocket science here all this stuff
  • 00:48:48
solutions to all these problems are well
  • 00:48:51
    researched well documented well known
  • 00:48:52
and they're all proven and they work if
  • 00:48:55
you go out and find the right ones so
  • 00:48:57
    that was
  • 00:48:58
number two now step number three once
  • 00:49:00
you get a little bit of that stuff
  • 00:49:01
handled kind of the toxic dysfunctional
  • 00:49:04
stuff then step number three should be
  • 00:49:06
find your life purpose and man this is a
  • 00:49:09
very deep topic it's a very important
  • 00:49:11
topic you need to find your core
  • 00:49:13
essential purpose in life you need to
  • 00:49:14
find out who you are authentically who
  • 00:49:17
you are as a human being
  • 00:49:18
as a personality and I'm not going to
  • 00:49:22
talk much about that here but if you're
  • 00:49:25
really interested in that and you want
  • 00:49:26
to really a that then go check out my
  • 00:49:29
    ultimate life purpose course it's a 25
  • 00:49:32
hour course plus even more material that
  • 00:49:36
I'm adding to it soon uh that's just
  • 00:49:39
some of the most life transforming
  • 00:49:41
material if you go and do those
  • 00:49:42
exercises that I tell you that course it
  • 00:49:44
will change your life that's step number
  • 00:49:49
three you need a life purpose I don't
  • 00:49:50
just say that because I have a product
  • 00:49:51
no don't get that wrong I have a product
  • 00:49:54
because this is such an important point
  • 00:49:56
that's why the product was created
  • 00:49:58
    I didn't just create a random product I
  • 00:50:02
found my life purpose I discovered what
  • 00:50:06
was most important to create a self
  • 00:50:07
actualized life and it just so happened
  • 00:50:10
that it was live purpose and most people
  • 00:50:13
have no idea what their life purpose is
  • 00:50:15
so this is a critical component that
  • 00:50:17
virtually everybody is missing you need
  • 00:50:19
this component otherwise you will not be
  • 00:50:21
fully self actualized not even close
  • 00:50:24
and step number four is and it's a
  • 00:50:29
    little more advanced become financially
  • 00:50:32
independent when you free yourself from
  • 00:50:36
your nine-to-five job and you become
  • 00:50:38
your own boss or at least you are not
  • 00:50:41
reliant and you know what's the word
  • 00:50:46
you're not desperate for money and
  • 00:50:50
you're not working 80-hour days because
  • 00:50:53
your boss is forcing you to otherwise
  • 00:50:55
you can get fired when you can
  • 00:50:57
disconnect from that and set your own
  • 00:50:59
sane schedule and your own sane work
  • 00:51:02
hours and also pay yourself well support
  • 00:51:06
yourself financially this gives you a
  • 00:51:08
level of confidence and freedom and
  • 00:51:10
    ability to then go out
  • 00:51:11
    and really do the deep
  • 00:51:15
    self-actualization work and fully and
  • 00:51:17
richly enjoy life so that's step number
  • 00:51:21
four I'm giving you a broad outline here
  • 00:51:23
so I'm not filling in all the details
  • 00:51:24
you're going to go find out how these
  • 00:51:26
are big goals it'll take you probably
  • 00:51:29
multiple years to work on some of these
  • 00:51:31
goals like your life purpose like
  • 00:51:33
    becoming financially independent but you
  • 00:51:36
need to start thinking about this stuff
  • 00:51:37
in planning ahead that's it those are
  • 00:51:43
the four steps if you do those four
  • 00:51:45
steps I'm going to be pretty confident
  • 00:51:47
that you're going to be well on your way
  • 00:51:48
to self-actualization and if you don't
  • 00:51:55
do these four steps or you skip some of
  • 00:51:56
them then I'm going to be very worried
  • 00:51:58
for you and I don't think you're going
  • 00:52:00
to get there so in conclusion your life
  • 00:52:04
is short live your life like you have a
  • 00:52:08
burning midlife crisis right now I don't
  • 00:52:11
care how old you are if you're 15 if
  • 00:52:13
    you're 20 if you're 30 if you're 40 for
  • 00:52:17
60 right now is your midlife crisis
  • 00:52:20
moment I've had at least two or three
  • 00:52:22
midlife crises already and I'm only 30
  • 00:52:24
that's a good thing get them out of the
  • 00:52:27
way early what else have you got to do
  • 00:52:30
with your life can you come up with a
  • 00:52:32
better vision what else have you got
  • 00:52:34
go with the best vision that you find
  • 00:52:36
available whether you came up with it or
  • 00:52:38
you want to use my vision or you want to
  • 00:52:40
use somebody else's vision you find some
  • 00:52:41
better vision some book somewhere go do
  • 00:52:43
that but I doubt you'll find something
  • 00:52:48
much bigger than what I outline for you
  • 00:52:51
here because this encapsulate a whole
  • 00:52:54
    lot of [ __ ]
  • 00:52:56
this encapsulate basically what it means
  • 00:52:58
to be an extraordinary human being what
  • 00:53:03
else have you got to do what TV playing
  • 00:53:06
World of Warcraft going out and banging
  • 00:53:11
girls getting drunk on the weekends
  • 00:53:14
working 80-hour weeks at your law firm
  • 00:53:16
for what what what the [ __ ] are you
  • 00:53:19
doing are you thinking about where
  • 00:53:24
    that's going to lead you
  • 00:53:25
in 20 or 40 years keep doing that think
  • 00:53:33
wiser and hold this vision in your mind
  • 00:53:38
every single day every single day
  • 00:53:45
because there's nothing better that you
  • 00:53:47
can do with your life there's nothing
  • 00:53:50
that will bring you more joy or more
  • 00:53:51
    satisfaction or more fulfillment right
  • 00:53:56
this is Leo I'm signing off go ahead

  • 00:54:01
video with a friend because we need to
  • 00:54:02
get more people bought into this idea of
  • 00:54:04
self-actualization it makes the world a
  • 00:54:06
better place for all of us and lastly
  • 00:54:09
come check out actualize that world
  • 00:54:13
right here have a free newsletter I am
  • 00:54:15
committed to releasing new videos and
  • 00:54:17
episodes every single week covering all
  • 00:54:21
the aspects and facets that you need to
  • 00:54:23
master life and to inspire you in to
  • 00:54:28
motivate you to really keep you on track
  • 00:54:31
my mission even more so than just giving
  • 00:54:34
you information and content that you can
  • 00:54:35
use and techniques is to give you the
  • 00:54:37
vision that you need to remind you of
  • 00:54:40
when you're off track because you know
  • 00:54:44
what the whole difficulty with this
  • 00:54:46
vision that I gave you is that you're
  • 00:54:48
going to fall off track you're going to
  • 00:54:49
forget you're going to go unconscious
  • 00:54:50
you're going to fall back into your old
  • 00:54:51
    habits it's emotionally difficult you're
  • 00:54:53
going to struggle it's not easy this is
  • 00:54:56
not a get-rich-quick solution so the
  • 00:55:01
point of actualize that org is to be a
  • 00:55:03
resource here to inspire you and to
  • 00:55:05
remind you and to keep you conscious
  • 00:55:07
when you go unconscious and to keep you
  • 00:55:09
on track so one commitment you can make
  • 00:55:13
that would really move you forward on
  • 00:55:15
this journey is to watch one video per
  • 00:55:19
week commit yourself to that just so you
  • 00:55:25
can stay on track or however you want to
  • 00:55:29
stay on track have a weekly reminder
