- 00:00:05pretty crazy all I'm saying is Jiro
- 00:00:07players are eating real good but we'll
- 00:00:10get into all of that in just a bit today
- 00:00:13we're going to quickly talk about what
- 00:00:14got buffed and what got nerfed and odds
- 00:00:16are your main probably got nerfed then
- 00:00:19we're going to test it out in game
- 00:00:20firsthand and then finally we're going
- 00:00:22to see if we can find any new Niche
- 00:00:25techniques that nobody has talked about
- 00:00:27yet this is day one of the patch so
- 00:00:29there's bound to be new strategies so
- 00:00:31let's Dive In speedrun Style on this
- 00:00:33balance and then I'll go over each of
- 00:00:35them in a match for the weapons axe
- 00:00:37battle boots Cannon gauntlets Lance orb
- 00:00:40and Scythe all got Nerfs of varying
- 00:00:42degree and sword got a big buff and for
- 00:00:45the Legends imugi and woong got nerfed
- 00:00:49while aoth core Reno and Sir Roland got
- 00:00:52buffed and again some of these Nerfs are
- 00:00:54bigger than others some of these Buffs
- 00:00:56are bigger than others so let's just
- 00:00:58jump in all right starting off with the
- 00:01:01axe I thought I thought maybe I thought
- 00:01:03maybe uh it's a very small Nerf it's
- 00:01:06primarily aimed at 2v2
- 00:01:08at I don't even want to talk I actually
- 00:01:11don't even want to talk anymore it's
- 00:01:12primarily aimed at 2v2 and now I have to
- 00:01:14make a huge comeback here I don't know
- 00:01:16what is wrong with me it is a Nerf to
- 00:01:18the axe n's momentum on hit which again
- 00:01:21in 1 V one that's not really going to
- 00:01:23affect much it's very very small
- 00:01:24basically you have less backward Freedom
- 00:01:27after you hit the nare so I'm going to
- 00:01:28try to show that off if there in the
- 00:01:30right spot here actually a sight a would
- 00:01:31be the best way to do
- 00:01:33that yeah so I can move backward less
- 00:01:36that's pretty much the change in full
- 00:01:39here and the point seems to be that
- 00:01:40following up off your teammate was way
- 00:01:42too easy and then you could also just
- 00:01:44leap around that was not what I meant to
- 00:01:45do but you know what it end up working
- 00:01:46out and uh again in 1 V one I don't
- 00:01:49think this is going to matter once cuz
- 00:01:50once you land the nare it's not like
- 00:01:52you're going to want to be moving
- 00:01:53backward all the time very minor Nerf
- 00:01:54although I actually don't know how minor
- 00:01:56it's going to be in 2v2 maybe it affects
- 00:01:57a lot who knows but
- 00:02:00that's pretty much it battle boots
- 00:02:02continuing the trend of small Nerfs got
- 00:02:04a very small Nerf to the ground pound it
- 00:02:05seems like it has a slightly smaller hit
- 00:02:07boox and then the her box which is where
- 00:02:09You're vulnerable is slightly higher
- 00:02:11which means that you can contest it with
- 00:02:12recoveries a little bit easier and then
- 00:02:14it has less priority what am I
- 00:02:18doing actually that was the Nerf again
- 00:02:20that's a pretty small Nerf so I wouldn't
- 00:02:21Panic if you're a boots player it's a
- 00:02:24similar to the ax one where I don't
- 00:02:25think it'll affect too much at the very
- 00:02:27least in 1 V one actually I should be
- 00:02:29playing boots this whole game I don't
- 00:02:30know what I'm doing there are definitely
- 00:02:31situations where maybe you were able to
- 00:02:33get away with an edgu guard before that
- 00:02:35you aren't now but for the most part
- 00:02:36this isn't going to change the flow of
- 00:02:38the weapon which is the most important
- 00:02:39part of it we'll see if I can create a
- 00:02:41scenario where my ground pound loses I
- 00:02:43mean against bow recovery it was kind of
- 00:02:44going to lose all the time and okay that
- 00:02:47bounce was kind of crazy actually I
- 00:02:48really want to get the final KO with Bo
- 00:02:50groundpound I don't know if it's going
- 00:02:51to happen though
- 00:02:54uhoh oh my God I squeezed
- 00:02:58by m
- 00:03:00H okay we're getting into the more
- 00:03:03sizable Nerfs now and I'm glad I picked
- 00:03:05up the Canon here first because this uh
- 00:03:07this is the weapon this is the one we
- 00:03:09already talked about Axe and those two
- 00:03:11moves that I just used downlight and
- 00:03:13down air are the ones that got nerfed
- 00:03:14now the downlight Nerf much smaller in
- 00:03:16comparison cuz it's mostly about
- 00:03:18cooldown coold down both on Miss and on
- 00:03:21hit and coold down is not the same as
- 00:03:23lag cooldown is the time where you can
- 00:03:24use the same move twice in a row there's
- 00:03:27no Universe I punish that what am I
- 00:03:29going for though cool down yeah same
- 00:03:31move twice in a row as opposed to
- 00:03:33recovery time which is the actual amount
- 00:03:34of time that you're stuck after using an
- 00:03:37attack so downlight you can use downl
- 00:03:40twice in a row a lot slower now compared
- 00:03:42to before and that's both on hit and on
- 00:03:44miss the on Miss is only increased by
- 00:03:46one frame so if you're not a cannon
- 00:03:48player you probably don't notice the
- 00:03:49difference but the on hit is a full
- 00:03:51three frames and that is noticeable to
- 00:03:53pretty much any player that's not going
- 00:03:54to be true okay and the logic here is
- 00:03:57the same as it was actually with the
- 00:04:00ax changes which is that in 2v2 it was a
- 00:04:02little bit too easy to just Mash
- 00:04:04downlight over and over and over again
- 00:04:06given that the frames are only three
- 00:04:08different than before this really is not
- 00:04:09going to interrupt any kind of crazy
- 00:04:12Cannon string that hit Box by the way
- 00:04:14that should not have connected there is
- 00:04:16no universe that should have connected
- 00:04:18basically this is not I don't think
- 00:04:19going to affect much in 1 V ones cuz
- 00:04:21it's not like you're going for Canon
- 00:04:22downl on hit and then immediately going
- 00:04:24for another Canon downl on hit that's
- 00:04:26really sad actually I thought I was
- 00:04:28going to die for that but in 2v2 there
- 00:04:29may be situations where let's say your
- 00:04:31teammate is attacking and then you're
- 00:04:33attacking you're trying to interrupt
- 00:04:34you're trying to interrupt again and so
- 00:04:35you're just mashing something with a
- 00:04:36huge hit boox that sets up into a KO or
- 00:04:39a team combo really quickly I think
- 00:04:40that's what this is aimed at I'm going
- 00:04:43for opponents that I don't think are on
- 00:04:44the screen but the effort is there you
- 00:04:47know I'm talking about 2v2 I'm hitting
- 00:04:48their invisible 2v2 teammate it's okay
- 00:04:50give me
- 00:04:52Cannon like really who am I going for
- 00:04:54now this next change on Cannon one of
- 00:04:56two is probably more significant for 1 V
- 00:04:58one although not by that much honestly
- 00:05:01it is an increase in recovery time on
- 00:05:03down air by two frames two more frames
- 00:05:06of recovery time which definitely is
- 00:05:07noticeable however it's an increase only
- 00:05:10on that version the one that connects
- 00:05:13with the ground with the big explosion
- 00:05:14cuz otherwise the air version which is
- 00:05:16the one that you're going to be using
- 00:05:1799% of the time it's exactly the same
- 00:05:20actually I could have just held that I
- 00:05:21was worried about the axe recovery
- 00:05:22connecting with me but I don't think I
- 00:05:24need to because I'm playing Cannon so
- 00:05:26that thing has infinite
- 00:05:28range okay now that I'm done with Cannon
- 00:05:30let me look at my other monitor see what
- 00:05:32the gauntlet changes are cuz that's up
- 00:05:34next I was looking at the other screen
- 00:05:37I'm okay
- 00:05:41though okay we can admit I got a little
- 00:05:44bit lucky there but it's good I was
- 00:05:47checking to double check all the notes
- 00:05:49because I thought maybe the gauntlet
- 00:05:50Nerf was only on Miss like a lot of
- 00:05:52these Nerfs are no it's on hit to this
- 00:05:54is a pretty sizable Gauntlet Nerf so
- 00:05:57basically n now has two more frames of
- 00:05:59recovery time both on Miss and on hit
- 00:06:01that means two more frames of lag you're
- 00:06:03stuck for two more frames after using it
- 00:06:06that sounds not like a lot two frames
- 00:06:08it's what 1/30th of a second but it
- 00:06:10means that while you still can nare into
- 00:06:12GC enlight nare into GC side light is uh
- 00:06:16no longer guaranteed it has a Dodge
- 00:06:19window where previously you were kind of
- 00:06:20able to get some scenarios where it
- 00:06:21worked I'm going to see if I can get
- 00:06:23yeah so that's going to still be true
- 00:06:24that's going to still work but the Nar
- 00:06:25into the GC sidelight which was a great
- 00:06:27KO setup no longer it to do that true
- 00:06:30it'll still work in a lot of the same
- 00:06:32scenarios oh that is an interesting
- 00:06:34situation to create for me okay also
- 00:06:36it's meant to kind of counteract
- 00:06:37edgeguards too probably should have just
- 00:06:39ground pounded um
- 00:06:42but what is happening today counteract
- 00:06:45EDG guards is what I was saying where
- 00:06:46there's going to be a bigger window
- 00:06:48between n into ground pound strings and
- 00:06:50uh that kind of loop where it's n ground
- 00:06:52pound n ground pound or n s n s those
- 00:06:54are those are nerfed by you know pretty
- 00:06:55significant degree two frames is nothing
- 00:06:58to scoff at but it is not the end of the
- 00:07:02world for gauntlets for sure for the
- 00:07:04sake of brevity here I'm not going to go
- 00:07:05over every single legend that this
- 00:07:06affects but there's definitely going to
- 00:07:07be scenarios where narr into signature
- 00:07:09changes for specific Legends are
- 00:07:12impacted in a significant way to be
- 00:07:14honest with you so this change is
- 00:07:16nothing to nothing to scoff at it's not
- 00:07:18the end of the world like I said but
- 00:07:19it's not uh it's not nothing you know
- 00:07:21it's probably one of the most
- 00:07:22significant Nerfs of the patch in fact I
- 00:07:24want to see if I can show off if this
- 00:07:25player jumps around although they really
- 00:07:26seem mostly like a grounded player that
- 00:07:28uh that Nar to sidelight not going to
- 00:07:29really work too well anymore unless they
- 00:07:31have a Dodge maybe I just wait for them
- 00:07:33to jump after they
- 00:07:40whiff let's see if I catch maybe a jump
- 00:07:43here of course of course they went off
- 00:07:45stage I guess it I guess it ended up
- 00:07:47okay but yep Nar to GC site was a pretty
- 00:07:49consistent damage Builder as well as KO
- 00:07:51tool KO option so not the not the best
- 00:07:55day for Gauntlet players especially not
- 00:07:56the best day for woong players like I
- 00:07:57mentioned earlier he got a Nerf at as
- 00:07:59well this is a dangerous scenario it's
- 00:08:00like spear can just take me off the top
- 00:08:02with that don't know if I want to be
- 00:08:04doing that today this is honestly quite
- 00:08:05a rare change from brala most of the
- 00:08:07time they're nerfing uh recovery time on
- 00:08:10hit only like I mentioned the past bunch
- 00:08:12of things okay see it's going to affect
- 00:08:14stuff like that too where you're not
- 00:08:16able okay not able to do that as
- 00:08:19consistently I keep getting distracted
- 00:08:20this is my first video on my new pc by
- 00:08:22the way I know everyone was making fun
- 00:08:24of me for for it being so long since I
- 00:08:26had a PC Who's laughing now probably
- 00:08:28still you I'm
- 00:08:30today I'm not performing very well Lance
- 00:08:32is up next for the changes and it's
- 00:08:34actually the exact same at least on
- 00:08:36paper as the axe Nerf but I think this
- 00:08:38one matters at least a good bit more and
- 00:08:40it's that you have less backward
- 00:08:42momentum when you land there and the
- 00:08:43same same goal here they want to make it
- 00:08:45so it's less oppressive during twos it's
- 00:08:47really not that big of a change like I
- 00:08:49can still move backward pretty far oh I
- 00:08:52Tred to interrupt that I don't know why
- 00:08:54I really I I don't have an answer for
- 00:08:55you okay let me see let me see let me
- 00:08:57see let me see let me see see like yeah
- 00:08:59I can still move backward a pretty good
- 00:09:01distance there it seems like the thought
- 00:09:02process for a lot of these changes again
- 00:09:04you could see I really I could still
- 00:09:06move backward there I don't think it's
- 00:09:07going to affect much uh is that they
- 00:09:09want to give more opportunity for
- 00:09:10teammates in 2v2 to Counterattack right
- 00:09:13so if people are just Landing this
- 00:09:14attack and then moving backwards it's
- 00:09:16really hard for their teammates to do
- 00:09:17anything about that uh and so that's
- 00:09:19sort of the logic for both the axe and
- 00:09:21the Lance here as well as countering
- 00:09:22follow-ups it seems like but I was going
- 00:09:24to say like it's probably bigger than
- 00:09:25the ax in 1 V one because there may be
- 00:09:27situations where you hit like a reverse
- 00:09:29snare and then you want to keep your
- 00:09:30momentum going and then go in the
- 00:09:32opposite direction like something like
- 00:09:34that maybe and then you want to continue
- 00:09:36your momentum but I feel like that's a
- 00:09:38really really rare scenario and I don't
- 00:09:41think that's going to come up very much
- 00:09:42at all this is why I think it's
- 00:09:44important to to test things out and and
- 00:09:45give them a give them a sniff yourself
- 00:09:47because even though you see on paper oh
- 00:09:49Rocket Lance nare was nerfed was it
- 00:09:51though I don't really play to very much
- 00:09:54at all so maybe I'm not the best source
- 00:09:55but even just like having my hands on
- 00:09:57this it doesn't it doesn't feel that
- 00:09:58different compare this to the what was
- 00:09:59it the site dare buff about two patches
- 00:10:02ago that Lance got that was massive I
- 00:10:04mean now that's actually like a weapon
- 00:10:05changing a weapon altering buff like
- 00:10:08this is this is small beans this is this
- 00:10:09is nothing I was going to save
- 00:10:11them okay we've reached the stage now
- 00:10:14where most of these weapon Nerfs are
- 00:10:15pretty significant starting off with the
- 00:10:17orb and this is a s cooldown change so
- 00:10:20now we know what cooldown is right it's
- 00:10:21using the same move twice in a row this
- 00:10:23is on Miss specifically so it's meant to
- 00:10:25Target the neutral game where people are
- 00:10:27just leaping around so all of orbs
- 00:10:28combos with s unchanged but spaming s in
- 00:10:32neutral I mean this is a lot slower you
- 00:10:35can tell right especially if you're an
- 00:10:36orb player I am not able to do that at
- 00:10:38nearly the speed that I that it used to
- 00:10:41be this is a pretty significant change
- 00:10:42cuz orb s is an integral part of orb's
- 00:10:45whole game plan so this changes things
- 00:10:47around a little bit more it means you're
- 00:10:48going to have to alternate attacks it
- 00:10:49means you're going to have to maybe
- 00:10:50dodge again in a scenario where you
- 00:10:51would have wanted to oh my God that
- 00:10:53connected orb so underrated still by the
- 00:10:56way if you didn't if you're not locked
- 00:10:58into this weapon here like that just won
- 00:11:01did you see that that just won anyway
- 00:11:03orb s and floating down with orb s
- 00:11:05especially this alternating orb s orb
- 00:11:07dare like that timing isn't going to
- 00:11:09change just because of how long it takes
- 00:11:10for dare uh to come out but the sers
- 00:11:13especially off stage like this that gets
- 00:11:15heavily affected not the biggest change
- 00:11:17in the world but the direction is
- 00:11:19interesting because it's targeting how
- 00:11:21orb likes to play and specifically how
- 00:11:24oppressive orb can be so I think it's a
- 00:11:26pretty good change anyway I mentioned at
- 00:11:27the start or at least in the Gauntlet
- 00:11:29section that I think gauntlets may have
- 00:11:30been the biggest Nerf changing my mind
- 00:11:33while gauntlets did receive a Nerf to
- 00:11:34both on Miss and on hit recovery time
- 00:11:36which shouldn't be understated Scythe
- 00:11:38received a Nerf to on Miss on two of its
- 00:11:40key moves so both side air and down air
- 00:11:43now have more lag on Miss two more
- 00:11:45frames to be specific which is the same
- 00:11:47amount as the gauntlets and those are
- 00:11:48two of Scythe most spammable options and
- 00:11:51so that is a uh that's a pretty big deal
- 00:11:53if you're struggling to KO scythe and um
- 00:11:56where am I going okay I went down on
- 00:11:58purpose somehow the wall angle there
- 00:12:00helped me out instead of saving them
- 00:12:02we're not going to talk about it I could
- 00:12:03have and definitely should have and
- 00:12:05definitely did by all logic flub that
- 00:12:07edge guard by just not pressing space
- 00:12:09bar God the game is on my side in ways
- 00:12:12that I have actually never seen before
- 00:12:14anyway I'm saying that like people just
- 00:12:16spamming down air and spaming side air
- 00:12:18it's it's a lot harder now especially
- 00:12:19these jump side airs these are a lot or
- 00:12:21jump down airs rather I guess both um a
- 00:12:23lot more punishable now so there's a
- 00:12:25bigger window to Counterattack that and
- 00:12:28I know those are two of the most
- 00:12:29frustrating moves to fight against
- 00:12:31especially if you're queuing into Scythe
- 00:12:32players all the time which everyone is
- 00:12:35it's the most popular weapon in the game
- 00:12:38okay okay we're good if you take a look
- 00:12:40at the patch notes they might be a
- 00:12:41little bit confusing because when you
- 00:12:43look at recovery times especially on
- 00:12:44Miss on hit like all that kind of stuff
- 00:12:46they have a lot of different numbers cuz
- 00:12:48they have one called fixed recovery time
- 00:12:50and variable recovery time and then and
- 00:12:52then you see a numbers with a slash in
- 00:12:54it and it's and it gets confusing and I
- 00:12:55totally understand if it's like what am
- 00:12:57I even looking at basically fix recovery
- 00:12:59is the recovery time or the lag on every
- 00:13:02Legend that's just Universal and then
- 00:13:04variable is the recovery time that
- 00:13:09changes I need to go back to school the
- 00:13:11crazy part is how guaranteed that
- 00:13:13edgegard just was like unironically um
- 00:13:16anyway variable changes based on decks
- 00:13:18dexterity so that is something that
- 00:13:20dexterity does affect I know I know it's
- 00:13:22a big thing where dexterity doesn't
- 00:13:23really do all that much but it does
- 00:13:25affect that so um I almost just died
- 00:13:28again I I this is this is this is a
- 00:13:30travesty this is a travesty after such a
- 00:13:32good start
- 00:13:35too okay we're fine that means Buffs to
- 00:13:38variable recovery time are often the
- 00:13:40things that buff like nine decks to be
- 00:13:41crazy and Nerfs to fixed recovery time
- 00:13:43are more Universal so those are bigger
- 00:13:44Nerfs so this is a bigger Nerf it's not
- 00:13:46something that only Nerfs like higher
- 00:13:47Dex characters or lower Dex characters
- 00:13:49um which is often how those go cuz it's
- 00:13:52the reverse right if something is a buff
- 00:13:53to high decks it's often a Nerf to low
- 00:13:55decks by comparison um like something is
- 00:13:59up something is going on tldr of this
- 00:14:01change this is not just a pure doubles
- 00:14:03change this is definitely for both
- 00:14:05singles and doubles okay and it's aimed

- 00:14:32so this may be an opportunity to see if

- 00:14:42because they kind of reworked how sword
- 00:14:44sidelight works if I catch a Dodge here
- 00:14:46we'll be able to really see it firsts
- 00:14:47hand actually they're not even dodging
- 00:14:48after sidelight do you see how the
- 00:14:50sidelight sent nowhere and they're so
- 00:14:52deep red that that enlight is just
- 00:14:53sending off the map that is one of the
- 00:14:56changes the details on this are pretty
- 00:14:58insane so site has one more frame of
- 00:15:01stun it also has decreased force on the
- 00:15:03final hit from 78 fixed you know 78
- 00:15:07sounds like a big number whatever
- 00:15:09261 fixed and this fixed variable to
- 00:15:12make it even more confusing with Force
- 00:15:14is is like based on damage values and
- 00:15:17also based on strength values basically
- 00:15:19fixed force is how far a move always
- 00:15:21sends and variable force is how far it
- 00:15:24sends with higher strength or the more
- 00:15:26damage someone is so this move was
- 00:15:28decreased from 78 to 61 which means it's
- 00:15:31always sending less far away so they
- 00:15:34changed it from a knock away tool to a
- 00:15:36setup tool and that also means if their
- 00:15:38opponent doesn't have a Dodge sight into
- 00:15:40ight is guaranteed like always that's a
- 00:15:43lot of damage I mean that is significant
- 00:15:44I mean I'm taking a lot right now A Jero
- 00:15:46onjo Warfare um that's pretty crazy and
- 00:15:49on top of that the variable force was
- 00:15:51changed from 4 to 1 so that I got g i
- 00:15:54they're they're better jro they're just
- 00:15:55a better jro and what that means and
- 00:15:57it's actually perfect that we're both
- 00:15:58playing jro here is that if your
- 00:15:59opponent doesn't have a Dodge no I need
- 00:16:01my
- 00:16:06sword okay what that means if your
- 00:16:09opponent doesn't have a Dodge is that's
- 00:16:12guaranteed if you're hitting with the
- 00:16:14front part like right there of the sword
- 00:16:16sidelight sidelight into side Sig oniro
- 00:16:18inescapable you cannot jump out of it
- 00:16:21and that is ridiculous because this move
- 00:16:24I've made entire dedicated video on this
- 00:16:26move um um
- 00:16:29basically this move had a crazy hitbox
- 00:16:31but like bad everything else so when it
- 00:16:34hits up high like that kind of weird
- 00:16:35where the opponent is jumping that's
- 00:16:37that hitb boox at play but everything
- 00:16:39else about it was kind of terrible that
- 00:16:41is until it got buffed and uh suddenly
- 00:16:43the force was pretty good and the damage
- 00:16:46was pretty good and by pretty good I
- 00:16:47mean really good and jro kind of shot up
- 00:16:50in the tier list because he was no
- 00:16:51longer a joke character where he was
- 00:16:53that's kind of the space he was
- 00:16:54occupying for a while again it's brala
- 00:16:56balance so nobody's really ever bad but
- 00:16:58yeah definitely less popular than some
- 00:17:00of the other Scythe characters now
- 00:17:02they're they're getting at the high HP I
- 00:17:03could have sered that but I wanted to
- 00:17:04build up damage and then I just missed
- 00:17:05so it was kind of like a flub on on all
- 00:17:07accounts there I'm going to get insig
- 00:17:09they're just barely in the red now if I
- 00:17:11catch a Dodge they're actually just dead
- 00:17:13like okay I mean I could have done it
- 00:17:14there I'm just waiting I'm just waiting
- 00:17:16it out I'm just waiting out to dodge now
- 00:17:17they're more red so it's going to show
- 00:17:18it off less but they got their Dodge
- 00:17:21back but still worked and all of this is
- 00:17:24very specific to jro and Jiro sidick I
- 00:17:27tested this setup with every other sword
- 00:17:29Legend including thatch I'm fighting
- 00:17:30against right now who you would think
- 00:17:32this works really well with just because
- 00:17:33that side Sig on the sword has such a
- 00:17:35big vertical hit box but it takes too
- 00:17:36long to come out like I said at the
- 00:17:38start it's only jro though Jiro Mains
- 00:17:41are the ones that are eaten today and o
- 00:17:44oh they didn't do that jump it was it
- 00:17:45was just curtains I don't think they're
- 00:17:47going to I don't think they're going to
- 00:17:48give it to me right there they had their
- 00:17:49Dodge up the whole time but surely this
- 00:17:51next talk given that this is thatch a
- 00:17:53low defense character and it's on King's
- 00:17:56pass which has a t i that it's it's the
- 00:17:59change it's the change I thought I was
- 00:18:00going to have to stay there I could just
- 00:18:01get a guaranteed hit I could have just
- 00:18:02gotten a guaranteed hit I could have
- 00:18:03gotten a guaranteed side Sig didn't do
- 00:18:09that that almost just okay there was a
- 00:18:12patch where they made jiro's downlight
- 00:18:14into GC Sid Sig unj jumpable so if you
- 00:18:17caught a downlight and they didn't have
- 00:18:19a Dodge they were just they were just
- 00:18:20dead in Orange and during those few
- 00:18:23patches jro became not just good not
- 00:18:27just like pretty good but actually a top
- 00:18:30tier broken threat one of the most
- 00:18:31broken characters in the game and this
- 00:18:34is not as good as that sidelight is way
- 00:18:36more inconsistent than downlight is you
- 00:18:37have to hit with a very specific part of
- 00:18:39site if it hits at all on the in the air
- 00:18:42on the top part of it is not going to
- 00:18:43work but like do you see how like how oh
- 00:18:47my God this is terrifying how good
- 00:18:49sidelight is now it's it's kind of
- 00:18:51insane kind of insane now I don't know
- 00:18:53if there's weird Dash stuff that can
- 00:18:55interrupt this you saw they kind of
- 00:18:57dashed out of that one but they did have
- 00:18:58a Dodge during that so who knows going
- 00:19:00to pick myself up a sword once again
- 00:19:02here to show off this sidelight at low
- 00:19:03HP that's just a trap that you're going
- 00:19:05to have to know about at all times now
- 00:19:06if a sight catches you without a Dodge
- 00:19:08they're going to be able to get a
- 00:19:08guaranteed like s recovery if it's like
- 00:19:10the high part
- 00:19:11or I wanted you to live why anyway you
- 00:19:15got the idea there's that high sidelight
- 00:19:18I was talking about this is pretty crazy
- 00:19:20again it's not as insane as it as the
- 00:19:22last time they did this but
- 00:19:24regardless okay wait they dashed out of
- 00:19:27that wait a second wait a second wait a
- 00:19:29second wait a second maybe we're
- 00:19:30discovering in real time a
- 00:19:31countermeasure I mean you have to be
- 00:19:33pretty fast with that but thought they
- 00:19:35made changes to to we Dash doesn't work
- 00:19:37like that anymore maybe I'm just slow
- 00:19:38let's
- 00:19:41see that was such a weird sideline you
- 00:19:43can see what I mean it's a little
- 00:19:45inconsistent look it's broken but it is
- 00:19:47inconsistently
- 00:19:50broken they are just dashing out of that
- 00:19:54this might be actually a massive
- 00:19:56oversight because that is definitely not
- 00:19:57intended they've done changes in the
- 00:19:59past to make it so like that that you
- 00:20:01can't do that with with your dash out of
- 00:20:03combos um that's kind of funny because
- 00:20:06this whole section is just invalidated I
- 00:20:08mean it's not invalidated you have to be
- 00:20:09very specific with what you're doing but
- 00:20:11yeah um I want to not get gimped here I
- 00:20:13just didn't use my Dodge the endl will
- 00:20:15definitely still work I don't know about
- 00:20:17the side Sig I'm kind of getting getting

- 00:20:41fan I got my I got my eye trained to any
- 00:20:43kind of changes that might affect jro
- 00:20:45like that I'm kind of the day one
- 00:20:47supporter um that's really funny because
- 00:20:50it's definitely unintended they did not
- 00:20:52mean for that to actually work that I'm
- 00:20:53kind of a kind of a failure but that's
- 00:20:56how it works so I guess you're going to
- 00:20:58be sidelight into end lighting if you
- 00:21:00want like an actual guaranteed that's
- 00:21:02really funny and I was going to lock in
- 00:21:03boar to show that it doesn't work with
- 00:21:05the with the jump timing I guess if they
- 00:21:07Dodge out it's still going to work
- 00:21:08that's actually so sad and I'm really
- 00:21:10sorry cuz I kind of baited you but
- 00:21:12you're finding out live with me I'm
- 00:21:14actually I'm actually very shocked that
- 00:21:15that got through because uh they made
- 00:21:18Hello they made a lot of very specific
- 00:21:20changes to things like great sword and
- 00:21:22Scythe setup so that that wouldn't
- 00:21:24happen and now and now it's happening
- 00:21:27with with our best friend Jiro it's very
- 00:21:29sad so with that somber news I suppose
- 00:21:31sword is not as buffed as I thought it
- 00:21:33was although make no mistake the
- 00:21:34sideline to end light is pretty crazy
- 00:21:36and then of course all the other setups
- 00:21:37that can come from that
- 00:21:41but okay like nothing is on my side like
- 00:21:44you you see what I'm talking about I
- 00:21:45just tried to grab that I might die for
- 00:21:46it the other thing that I should mention
- 00:21:47about sword cuz we now we're now we're
- 00:21:49feeling a little bit low is that sword
- 00:21:51recovery got nerfed it's uh it no longer
- 00:21:53has as much force it's not the massive
- 00:21:55massive Nerfs that we've seen in the
- 00:21:57past or the massive massive but but it's
- 00:21:59not going to KO as early as it once did
- 00:22:01specifically it lost two points in that
- 00:22:03variable recovery frame variable um
- 00:22:06variable variable I realize I'm saying
- 00:22:08twice there they mean two different
- 00:22:10things overall very net positive for
- 00:22:12sword I think the losing the two fource
- 00:22:14it's kind of a big deal but you can
- 00:22:16still see it's pretty good at kooing so
- 00:22:18you can definitely tell sword overall
- 00:22:19got a big buff that's pretty great now
- 00:22:21I'm going to go over these Legends in
- 00:22:22training mode just very quickly because
- 00:22:24these are some small changes or at least
- 00:22:26very easy to go through quickly AO Bo
- 00:22:28down Z now has more Force so you can see
- 00:22:30130 Small Brawl Haven this is not koing
- 00:22:32the new damage threshold for this is 140
- 00:22:35that's going to knock out Loki here and
- 00:22:37that's pretty good because it got buffed
- 00:22:38by three variable Force imoi got a
- 00:22:41couple Nerfs we all knew he needed more
- 00:22:44this takes a little bit longer to come
- 00:22:45out two frames specifically which is
- 00:22:47much needed cuz this move is still so
- 00:22:50fast for how slow of a character ovie is
- 00:22:52supposed to be and it also has a
- 00:22:54decrease hit box at the very edge of
- 00:22:56this first ax swing so it's no longer at
- 00:22:58as ginormous as it used to be although
- 00:23:01you can still see if I set this Loki to
- 00:23:02jump up in the air this is still going
- 00:23:04to be kind of ridiculous right like this
- 00:23:08is for how fast and how hard this hits a
- 00:23:10pretty good move and then the down axe
- 00:23:13now has more recovery time so you can
- 00:23:16still jump and you can still Dodge I
- 00:23:18believe before you hit the ground yes
- 00:23:20you can but it's a little bit more time
- 00:23:22to punish it okay core got a crazy buff
- 00:23:25you can see this down Hammer has a
- 00:23:26version where you landed on the ground
- 00:23:28right you landed on the ground you hit
- 00:23:29the ground and there's a specific
- 00:23:31animation for landing on the ground
- 00:23:33there's also an air version though if
- 00:23:35you do it right here right I'm not
- 00:23:37landing on the ground there's not that
- 00:23:38ground hit it's this aerial swipe and
- 00:23:41that's what got buffed and this buff is
- 00:23:44kind of sneakily insane this Loki is in
- 00:23:47the
- 00:23:47orange 100 HP so if I hit this down Zig
- 00:23:51on the ledge here or or towards the side
- 00:23:53of the ledge where the final hit is in
- 00:23:55the air rather than being on the ground
- 00:23:59that just koed that just koed at 100
- 00:24:04this move is actually kind of terrifying
- 00:24:07now and imagine if you GC it like right
- 00:24:09there that's going to KO in yellow kind
- 00:24:12of insane Reno's got a couple of quality
- 00:24:14of life damage increases so that is now
- 00:24:16going to do 28 base damage depending on
- 00:24:18the force and defense of course it might
- 00:24:20be a little bit different so against
- 00:24:21Loki right here with my stance it's
- 00:24:23going to be 27 and then the orb enig is
- 00:24:26going to deal three more damage to be a
- 00:24:27base of 26 so just a small buff there
- 00:24:30but I think much needed sir Roland's
- 00:24:32enig now hits harder on the Lance pretty
- 00:24:34significantly too it's two full variable
- 00:24:37Force which I know two doesn't sound
- 00:24:38like a lot but any kinds of these
- 00:24:40changes is pretty intense this looki is
- 00:24:41at 120 120 this is a low strength
- 00:24:44character by the way so Rolland and then
- 00:24:47check out this side Sig change this one
- 00:24:49is actually huge look at this do you see
- 00:24:53how far that's reaching look at that
- 00:24:56this move is suddenly like unironically
- 00:24:5910 times better this this is one of the
- 00:25:01best LS in the game now this is like
- 00:25:03when Artemis Sidi got buffed cuz that
- 00:25:05move used to be terrible and now it's
- 00:25:08like maybe top two Ls this one holy
- 00:25:12closing out the cast now Wang spear en
- 00:25:14Sig got a little bit of a force
- 00:25:16reduction we can see I'm going to have
- 00:25:18to increase this quite a bit for this
- 00:25:20Teo 160 a bit High 150 probably going to
- 00:25:23do it 140 this one might be on the edge
- 00:25:25there 130 I don't think is going to make
- 00:25:28it let's see yeah and that's it overall
- 00:25:31scythe and gauntlets got the biggest
- 00:25:33Nerfs everything else that got nerfed is
- 00:25:35kind of just being tweaked around a tiny
- 00:25:37bit but if you're a sword player a Juro
- 00:25:39player with an asterisk cuz if people
- 00:25:41don't know that they can dash out you
- 00:25:42can still do that and especially a sir
- 00:25:45Roland player this is a fantastic patch
- 00:25:48for you
