    mostly deal in precious metals and they

    let's say startup inside the company

    that deals mostly with 3d printing

    and that is a very very

    specific thing to do

    really the the highest performance

    it so um in the plastics um

    you just stick goblets of metal together

    off each other and it's really really a

    really amazing that we could work with

    and that they have such an expertise for

    it because producing amorphous metals

    extremely extremely demanding you need

    really high security metals for that

    very very exotic metals and um

    in total it's uh it's crazy that they

    managed to do it so reliably for a mass

    production process and we are really so

    happy to have them

    that is very cool i've heard of

    processes like that in the past uh

    printers that work on layers of powder

    so i guess what is it

    what is it about the ie600 that uh

    makes it so it has to be printed instead

    of like other other processes you know

    honestly it's uh it doesn't have to be

    it's more that we think about okay what

    benefit for our customers it's not not

    um much about the sound in this case

    because the acoustic system within is

    housing is really mostly for protection

    for being really robust and so on and um

    that is one of the biggest

    um user wishes we heard when so we did a

    lot of user research i regularly meet

    all the forums and

    um so we almost always thought yeah we

    wanted to be really robust we wanted to

    to not scratch easily and so on i want

    maybe resale value in a few years

    we actually started we're um talking

    with videos already four years ago

    and um we had some prototypes of the pro

    and ears actually

    made in their with their processes

    and and that actually sparked the idea

    the time we thought okay it's just too

    think we have this user need that that

    us actually find this to be even better

    mean was that kind of the goal were you

    people liking different things and right

    and for the i 900 um i i mean you tested

    it and you know it's a very analytical

    sound and so on it's a little bit an

    i find it actually really funny because

    internal test listening rounds then

    especially for the i-900 some people

    base side and i'd say the i-600 and 900

    are comparable in terms of base it's not

    exactly the same but it's it's very

    there are multiple important aspects to

    a flat loudspeaker so a loudspeaker

    would usually be completely flat or you

    have like a taste increase of like 2 db

    and then you go into very open

    depending on your preferences you

    1080p then it would sound way too much

    shines and can can be sparkly and can

    and can be exciting

    but but it shouldn't be annoying or

    and even then um there's still some

    preference so i still remembered so we

    worked a whole year on the i-900 to get

    the trouble where it was so that was

    really a huge huge effort and we went to

    something like 50 revisions of the
  • 00:16:47
    resonator chambers to get it just right

    so it was really
  • 00:16:50
    uh in a crazy act

    and um so we really spent so much time

    on working it out and um then i i went
  • 00:16:58
    to a local dealer and i asked him so

    what did your customers say about it and

    he said yeah

    the first customer wanted more trouble

    and i was like

    oh gosh

    again it's perfect there are some people

    that prefer more trouble and i think in

    the end it's uh it's just perfect um

    huge problem with in-ears that treble

    has just so much reliance with people

    10 different people and get 11 different

    so i think the i 600 and 900 treble are

    very similar in terms of like quantity

    if you will i'd say the i-900 is

    smoother if you so it's a bit more

    there is much more precision going on in

    trying to smooth out the resonances

    however the tuning of the ic600 as a

    whole so the mids are more present is

    more forgiving for the treble and

    um it uses fewer resonator chambers so

    it's more of a

    rough job so to speak to to take out the
  • 00:18:08
    resonance but i think in the end they

    are very comparable

    as i said the i-900 is slightly more

    slightly more accurate but again it can

    vary from person to person um they're

    both great products i think in their own
