- 00:00:00I learned all the crazy controversy that
- 00:00:02people exposed her for, and I really
- 00:00:04mean it's a lot. I am never going to
- 00:00:06delete any of my videos, and the extreme
- 00:00:08magnification of horrible lies. But what
- 00:00:11I do have a problem with is when you
- 00:00:13literally start to gate a culture that's
- 00:00:14not even your own from other people.
- 00:00:16She's trying to present herself as this
- 00:00:17like educated person.
- 00:00:20[Music]
- 00:00:23Proud umi hater from day one. Please of
- 00:00:26herself instead.
- 00:00:29Well, cosplay is something very, very
- 00:00:32popular on Tik Tok. Some videos where
- 00:00:35people cosplay gain millions and
- 00:00:37millions of views. There's one genre
- 00:00:39that a lot of people hate and some
- 00:00:41really, really like, and that is where
- 00:00:42you edit yourself into looking like some
- 00:00:44kind of porcelain doll. And one creator
- 00:00:47has gained an entire platform from just
- 00:00:49doing this, making herself look like
- 00:00:51some sort of porcelain doll. And she has
- 00:00:53hundreds of hate comments. Well, let's
- 00:00:55be real. Thousands of hate comments.
- 00:00:57hundreds of hate videos and overall one
- 00:01:00of the worst responses to controversies
- 00:01:02of all time. The malignant intentionally
- 00:01:04made up lies being largely spread about
- 00:01:06me in order to vilify my personhood as a
- 00:01:09whole. She is one of the only people
- 00:01:11I've ever seen have a comment under one
- 00:01:13of her Tik Toks telling her to you know
- 00:01:14what with thousands of likes. That's
- 00:01:16just something you simply don't see on
- 00:01:18the daily. And months have gone by and
- 00:01:20she still has one of the most hated
- 00:01:22responses of all time to this entire
- 00:01:24situation. So, I felt like digging into
- 00:01:26it and seeing why people overall hate
- 00:01:28her so much. She's received thousands of
- 00:01:31you know what threats. And overall, that
- 00:01:33is just not appropriate. We should not
- 00:01:34be sending threats to her. That's just
- 00:01:36weird. But we're going to be getting
- 00:01:37into these situations she's been in for
- 00:01:40the past few months. But I'm feeling it
- 00:01:41now and I have been. I'm going to give a
- 00:01:43quick trigger warning for mentions of
- 00:01:46not appropriate things with younger
- 00:01:47people. And this video is probably a lot
- 00:01:49more darker and disturbing than usual
- 00:01:51videos that I create. So, just fair
- 00:01:53trigger warning for all that. It's not
- 00:01:55really the most light-hearted video of
- 00:01:56all time until I learned all the crazy
- 00:01:59controversy that people exposed her for.
- 00:02:02So, overall, please don't send hate to
- 00:02:03her. Obviously, she's already gotten
- 00:02:05quite a few threats. It's a serious
- 00:02:06situation. I'm not defending her in any
- 00:02:08way. In fact, there's a lot of stuff
- 00:02:09she's done that I just cannot believe
- 00:02:11someone would do. So, with that, let's
- 00:02:13get into the video. Remember, just don't
- 00:02:14send anything mean to her. Please be
- 00:02:16respectful in the comments. And with
- 00:02:18that, let's get into it.
- 00:02:23Speaking of someone doing something
- 00:02:25pretty bad or a lot of bad things, you
- 00:02:27have a chance to do something very, very
- 00:02:29good. Some of you know about Mustafa,
- 00:02:31the injured Palestinian I've been
- 00:02:32helping on my channel. That clip I just
- 00:02:34showed you was his house. His house is
- 00:02:36completely torn down and he has nothing
- 00:02:38left. And it's much harder for him to
- 00:02:40rebuild all of this due to the constant
- 00:02:42and he has to protect his two daughters
- 00:02:44and provide food for them. So, your
- 00:02:46donation can change an entire life. Or
- 00:02:48if you can't donate, remember to spread
- 00:02:49the word on your social media or to your
- 00:02:51friends or family. Link is in
- 00:02:53description. I beg you to consider this.
- 00:02:55Remember that you can do a lot of good
- 00:02:57for one person with just a $5 donation
- 00:02:59or spreading the word. With that, let's
- 00:03:01get back into it. So, Umichi is part of
- 00:03:03a community that makes these type of
- 00:03:05weird edited videos. And I don't mean
- 00:03:07weird as in bad weird. I'm just saying
- 00:03:09as in like unique, different. It's very,
- 00:03:11very strange in a way. Some people find
- 00:03:13it very creepy. It's kind of like think
- 00:03:15of an old porcelain doll. It's very very
- 00:03:18edited and she's very open about it. Not
- 00:03:20everyone
- 00:03:26is. For example, those are two of her
- 00:03:28Tik Toks. You can see she shows the
- 00:03:30before and after and there is a huge
- 00:03:31huge difference and she's open about
- 00:03:33that. I know that a lot of people do
- 00:03:35edit their photos. I personally kind of
- 00:03:36think that's cool to show your editing
- 00:03:38process, to present it, to not kind of
- 00:03:40hide it, set these unreal expectations.
- 00:03:42So that personally is something that
- 00:03:44made her kind of stand out, I believe,
- 00:03:45in a way on Tik Tok because you got to
- 00:03:47be unique in some way. There's a lot of
- 00:03:49people doing the same style as her, but
- 00:03:50she stood out, I think, because of that.
- 00:03:52Here were Lisa Q's takes on it. People
- 00:03:55just loved how she's so transparent
- 00:03:57about editing and doesn't want to put
- 00:03:59unrealistic beauty standards out there.
- 00:04:01And it is nice because there are a lot
- 00:04:03of young girls on the app that will fall
- 00:04:04for that. They will see that and be
- 00:04:06like, "Oh, wow. She's so beautiful. I
- 00:04:07wish I could look that way." But when
- 00:04:08they see that she edits it, it's kind of
- 00:04:09like, "Oh, okay. I mean, it's not the
- 00:04:11end of the world. She can make herself
- 00:04:12look prettier, but she's open about it.
- 00:04:14She was really proud of that and she
- 00:04:16kind of spread that message around. The
- 00:04:17problem is though that she's pretty
- 00:04:19problematic at the end of the day. It
- 00:04:20doesn't just come down to this making
- 00:04:22her a good person. In my personal
- 00:04:24opinion, she's far from a good person.
- 00:04:26And her response made everything so much
- 00:04:28worse. So, we'll be breaking that at
- 00:04:30down at the end. And I know there's some
- 00:04:31of you that are going to be commenting,
- 00:04:32"This is old. Why are you talking about
- 00:04:34this? This was two months ago." I know
- 00:04:36that a lot of videos on her were from
- 00:04:37two months ago, but a lot of them didn't
- 00:04:39cover her response, which was actually
- 00:04:40pretty recently. So, I feel like I
- 00:04:42should just go over the things she's
- 00:04:43accused of and then go over her response
- 00:04:44because her response overall just
- 00:04:46sounded like chat GBT. Maybe she's just
- 00:04:48really, really intelligent and she uses
- 00:04:50big words, but it just sounded like a
- 00:04:52chat GBT script. On second thought, I am
- 00:04:54never going to delete any of my videos.
- 00:04:56I'm too cool for that. I had two tablets
- 00:04:58left of my mood stabilizers. I'm going
- 00:04:59to make the full use of them so they
- 00:05:00stop being impulsive and thinking less
- 00:05:02of myself. So, I saw a Tik Tok on her
- 00:05:04and that's really what pulled me towards
- 00:05:05her account. But when I was first on her
- 00:05:07account, the first person I thought of
- 00:05:08was she kind of reminds me of Clara Dao
- 00:05:10in a way because she really is very open
- 00:05:12about her insecurities and she doesn't
- 00:05:15really try to look perfect or hide it. I
- 00:05:17mean, maybe not like Clara Dao. Now that
- 00:05:18I think about it, they're not really
- 00:05:20comparable, but you get the idea. They
- 00:05:21both talk about body problems they've
- 00:05:23had in the past, and I'm just not going
- 00:05:24to go too much into depth because
- 00:05:26YouTube is really strict on that type of
- 00:05:27stuff. Now, let's continue with the main
- 00:05:29problems she's been facing and the
- 00:05:31controversy she's been in. So, the Tik
- 00:05:33Tok I found on her was this one.
- 00:05:34Realizing you defended a creator just to
- 00:05:36later discover they're problematic and
- 00:05:38race towards their own race. And I was
- 00:05:40firstly thinking, who the heck is
- 00:05:41Umichi? Like, I've never heard of this
- 00:05:43girl before, but I found her page and
- 00:05:45then I went down a huge rabbit hole full
- 00:05:47of a lot of really not fun stuff. We're
- 00:05:49gonna start with the lower controversy,
- 00:05:51the less controversial things she's
- 00:05:52done, which are still very
- 00:05:53controversial, and then quickly move up
- 00:05:55to the very, very, very bad stuff that
- 00:05:57she's allegedly done. Let's first off
- 00:05:59start with the kind of less but still
- 00:06:01very bad controversy she's been in.
- 00:06:03Okay, let's start from the beginning.
- 00:06:06Like I mentioned before, Umichi is
- 00:06:08Filipino, but one of the controversy
- 00:06:10surrounding her is that allegedly she's
- 00:06:12trying to be Japanese specifically. I
- 00:06:14can sense the comments from a mile away.
- 00:06:16Oh, wham, wham, wham, what are you
- 00:06:17talking about? She's just respecting her
- 00:06:19culture. You're such an annoying brat.
- 00:06:21No, just listen to what I have to say
- 00:06:23first. So, basically, she's been leaked
- 00:06:26to have been like trying to pronounce
- 00:06:28American words as Japanese and just like
- 00:06:31she kind of failed. So, people were
- 00:06:33making fun of her. There's a whole hate
- 00:06:34train on TikTok about it. People would
- 00:06:35imitate her, used her voice as an audio
- 00:06:38after she did that. But, it got a lot
- 00:06:39worse after this situation happened.
- 00:06:57And I know it just seems like she's
- 00:06:58trying to respect a culture at first
- 00:07:00glance and she just failed and kind of
- 00:07:02embarrassed herself, which I know some
- 00:07:04of us sometimes want to discover new
- 00:07:06cultures and we just kind of embarrass
- 00:07:08ourselves because we don't understand
- 00:07:09them. But it is just worse than that
- 00:07:11because she's a hypocrite. After failing
- 00:07:13to speak properly with Japanese, she
- 00:07:15would make a bunch of different
- 00:07:16comments, specifically this one, saying
- 00:07:18how it's embarrassing when people try to
- 00:07:20learn Japanese and they're just
- 00:07:22embarrassing. And it got worse from
- 00:07:24there because not only did she insult
- 00:07:26people for trying to learn Japanese
- 00:07:27after she did the same exact thing, she
- 00:07:29would then make a racist comment about
- 00:07:31her own race. She would refer to her own
- 00:07:34race as inbred and just throw a bunch of
- 00:07:36insults towards it. And I found a Tik
- 00:07:37Tok kind of defending well not defending
- 00:07:39that's a strong word but kind of giving
- 00:07:40a background to why she'd make such a
- 00:07:42claim like this because I mean it just
- 00:07:44doesn't make sense her making comments
- 00:07:45about her own race that just doesn't
- 00:07:47feel right. Last year I went to the
- 00:07:48Philippines for the first time in a very
- 00:07:50long time and I noticed something
- 00:07:51interesting. I noticed that everywhere
- 00:07:54there were billboards for skin
- 00:07:55lightening and that almost no one on
- 00:07:58their television was a brownkinned
- 00:08:00Filipino. So basically what this account
- 00:08:02that goes by star and this woman is
- 00:08:04saying is that it's really a culture
- 00:08:06there to be like a lot of them want to
- 00:08:09be lighter skinned. It is kind of just
- 00:08:10something pushed at them. So it's kind
- 00:08:12of more of a massive problem. A massive
- 00:08:15problem involving lots of people rather
- 00:08:16than just one individual. She's not
- 00:08:18individually the only one that's
- 00:08:19pressured. And while these comments are
- 00:08:21completely unacceptable, this gives more
- 00:08:23of like a thing that a lot of people are
- 00:08:24pressured rather than her just randomly
- 00:08:26deciding, which just kind of gives more
- 00:08:28of a background and reasoning behind it,
- 00:08:30I suppose. Even though once again, I
- 00:08:31completely condone those comments. This
- 00:08:34stereotypical gym uniform is a school
- 00:08:36uniform worn by students that go to
- 00:08:39school. There is no actual point of her
- 00:08:43owning this sort of clothing. So, a
- 00:08:45video has resurfaced of her dancing
- 00:08:47around in a Japanese anime school
- 00:08:50outfit, and it's for like younger high
- 00:08:52schooler girls, and it gets worse than
- 00:08:54just that. Just hold hold your fingers.
- 00:08:57Don't don't comment anything right now.
- 00:08:59Just let me get into more. It's not
- 00:09:00simply just the uniform, but let me
- 00:09:02firstly explain why the whole school
- 00:09:04uniform thing is bad and then we'll get
- 00:09:05into the more morbid details in this
- 00:09:07situation. Specifically, the dance she
- 00:09:09is doing is actually from the song Loly
- 00:09:11God
- 00:09:20requising a bunch of this information. I
- 00:09:22kept on looking through Tik Toks for
- 00:09:24hours and I couldn't get down to what
- 00:09:25exactly the whole L to the N accusations
- 00:09:28were about. So, I finally figured it out
- 00:09:29with this video and we're going to get
- 00:09:31into breaking it down. So, basically,
- 00:09:33she recorded a video of her dancing
- 00:09:34around in a school uniform from this one
- 00:09:36anime show. And overall, once again, I
- 00:09:38don't need to explain why that's really
- 00:09:40not appropriate because school outfits
- 00:09:42are situated genuinely with kids, and
- 00:09:44that just isn't really the most
- 00:09:46appropriate thing. I mean, sure, maybe
- 00:09:48it could have kind of been an accident.
- 00:09:49She wasn't really thinking about it, but
- 00:09:51then she starts then it gets worse when
- 00:09:52you realize she was dancing to a song
- 00:09:54that specifically was about you know
- 00:09:56what. And I think the video I just
- 00:09:57showed you kind of breaks it down. And I
- 00:09:59think it's kind of hard to explain
- 00:10:00yourself out of this one when you
- 00:10:02literally used a song that was about you
- 00:10:04know what. It just like it's hard to
- 00:10:06explain that you just accidentally put
- 00:10:07on a school uniform. For those who are
- 00:10:09my loyal viewers and have watched past
- 00:10:11videos, I appreciate you firstly and
- 00:10:13secondly, you know, my take on this. I
- 00:10:15talked about the XOXO team. They're like
- 00:10:17a shorts team that has like different
- 00:10:18influencers come on. They had Kiki Kim.
- 00:10:21They had Nevada, a bunch of them. And
- 00:10:22they would always dance in school
- 00:10:24uniforms and do usually not very
- 00:10:26appropriate things. Some of it would be
- 00:10:28very, very disgusting. And I don't know
- 00:10:30why, but I guess it gets more clicks
- 00:10:32when you dress this way. But it just
- 00:10:33simply is not appropriate in my opinion.
- 00:10:35And it would continue to get worse as a
- 00:10:37screenshot would have her openly
- 00:10:39supporting I and you know the rest ends
- 00:10:42with a T and it's about a boy and a girl
- 00:10:44related to each other doing you know
- 00:10:46what. And a screenshot of the comment on
- 00:10:48Facebook. Once again, she really likes
- 00:10:50that app. I don't know why. I don't have
- 00:10:52it and I just always get memes about it
- 00:10:54being for old people. So, I don't know
- 00:10:55why she likes it. But anyway, she would
- 00:10:57talk about wanting to cosplay a story
- 00:10:59where a boy and a girl commit not so
- 00:11:02good acts, specifically considering the
- 00:11:04fact that they are related. I'm tired of
- 00:11:06being an influencer. I'm tired of
- 00:11:08everything in general. I don't know how
- 00:11:10to make significance of myself at this
- 00:11:12point and I'm so exhausted. After this
- 00:11:14kind of took off on TikTok, this entire
- 00:11:17controversy, well, these many
- 00:11:18controversies, people would turn on her
- 00:11:19and it felt so wrong for someone who was
- 00:11:21so open about their struggles, about
- 00:11:25[Music]
- 00:11:27everything. I mean, it's almost like
- 00:11:29social media isn't real and most people
- 00:11:31that pretend to care about something
- 00:11:32have completely different things. And in
- 00:11:35other words, they have a lot of
- 00:11:36skeletons behind their closet. In their
- 00:11:38closet, not behind their closet.
- 00:11:43This truly was some huge news for the
- 00:11:45unemployed. But I feel like even though
- 00:11:47these things being discussed about her
- 00:11:49were really, really bad, she always
- 00:11:51needs a chance to clear it up. Maybe
- 00:11:52prove some of it wrong. Who knows? Maybe
- 00:11:54she's going to apologize. It'll be
- 00:11:55really, really good and we can forgive
- 00:11:57her and move on. But something I've
- 00:11:58realized is when you give an influencer
- 00:12:00who's built their career off of
- 00:12:01especially short-term content a chance
- 00:12:03to apologize, they suddenly decide that
- 00:12:05they're celebrity and we're all just
- 00:12:06peasants who would never understand or
- 00:12:08have the capability to accommodate or
- 00:12:11realize how really amazing and better
- 00:12:13than everyone they are. That's something
- 00:12:15we've seen it time and time again.
- 00:12:16Obviously not directing this towards
- 00:12:18anyone. There's no one I've ever had
- 00:12:20experience with this before doing
- 00:12:21something like this. Yeah, no direct
- 00:12:23references there at all. Anyway, with
- 00:12:25that, let's continue. We might as well
- 00:12:26give her a chance with her response. It
- 00:12:28can't be that bad, can it? It can't be
- 00:12:30that condescending and jerk like, can
- 00:12:32it? Can it? Okay, good. Let's get into
- 00:12:34it. Hello. I will begin by saying that
- 00:12:36this will be an acknowledgement video,
- 00:12:38but not an apology video. This is not an
- 00:12:41apology because I didn't do anything
- 00:12:43wrong. I didn't do anything wrong. Yes,
- 00:12:45I will drag the whole Clara Da situation
- 00:12:48months later just to show that because
- 00:12:50it is so familiar with these type of
- 00:12:52influencers. They all talk the exact
- 00:12:54same when it comes to apologizing or
- 00:12:56responding. They're not even
- 00:12:57apologizing. And I get that the claims
- 00:13:00that people are talking about and the
- 00:13:01things they have to say are not nice and
- 00:13:03they're sending you mean comments and
- 00:13:05they're saying mean things. And I
- 00:13:06totally get that. Like it's really
- 00:13:08really annoying and you want to spit in
- 00:13:10their face and be like, "No, I'm right.
- 00:13:11You're wrong. You idiot. I'm not
- 00:13:13apologizing to you." But sometimes the
- 00:13:14best thing to do even though you are mad
- 00:13:16at the people mad at you is to apologize
- 00:13:18and admit you did some things wrong.
- 00:13:20Maybe some of the things they said
- 00:13:21weren't correct, but at the end of the
- 00:13:22day, it's probably best to just back
- 00:13:24down and apologize rather than make them
- 00:13:26even more mad, which so many people have
- 00:13:28just made the mistake of of
- 00:13:29underestimating their audience. I will
- 00:13:31acknowledge many things, but apologize
- 00:13:34for very few. Because the central fact
- 00:13:36in all of this is that my case is based
- 00:13:38on the intentional distortion of
- 00:13:40ordinary truths and the extreme
- 00:13:42magnification of horrible lies. Okay, I
- 00:13:45know some people have really really big
- 00:13:47vocab and they just know a lot of big
- 00:13:49words, but this literally sounds like
- 00:13:50ChachiBT. And I'm not saying it is like
- 00:13:53for sure because I mean, yeah, I I can't
- 00:13:55just throw that out there. People do
- 00:13:56have good vocab. Maybe I'm just brained
- 00:13:58from the amount of AI I see all the
- 00:14:00time, but it just sounds like a really,
- 00:14:03really, really AI generated script. All
- 00:14:05to fuel an orchestrated mass of hate in
- 00:14:07such excess that no human being should
- 00:14:10ever have to experience in their
- 00:14:11lifetime. I agree that you shouldn't
- 00:14:13receive like the threats you did and the
- 00:14:15comments telling you to you know what
- 00:14:17were not appropriate obviously but like
- 00:14:20you're acting like these just came out
- 00:14:21of nowhere. Like there was a reason
- 00:14:23behind why people were mad and there's
- 00:14:24still a reason why they're mad because
- 00:14:26this response is super stuck up for no
- 00:14:28reason. Going on to live my life trying
- 00:14:30to compose myself beneath
- 00:14:32momentby-moment anxiety attacks and
- 00:14:34dayby-day harassment. I allowed for all
- 00:14:37comments to exist and thrive as they
- 00:14:39were written, just about all of which
- 00:14:41were bullying and hate speech. One thing
- 00:14:43that annoys me is she starts the
- 00:14:44majority of the video talking about the
- 00:14:46accusation of her deleting comments, and
- 00:14:48I just feel like that isn't really a big
- 00:14:50thing to address because at the end of
- 00:14:52the day, Tik Tok deletes literally
- 00:14:53everything that people comment. You
- 00:14:55can't comment anything without it
- 00:14:56censoring it. It's a joke. Honestly, Tik
- 00:14:58Tok just censors literally everything.
- 00:14:59So, I don't really think that's a big
- 00:15:01deal. Like, I don't care. Like, that's
- 00:15:03not my concern. And if you delete
- 00:15:04comments, yeah, whatever. At the end of
- 00:15:05the day, that's not really an important
- 00:15:07thing. There's a lot more things she
- 00:15:08should be covering. And she doesn't
- 00:15:10really spend as much time covering those
- 00:15:12things as she spends covering the little
- 00:15:14accusations that don't really matter. I
- 00:15:16locked my Facebook profile not because I
- 00:15:18was in fear of being exposed even more,
- 00:15:20but because each day for months now,
- 00:15:21people were very actively taking my
- 00:15:23videos, photos, and words posted from
- 00:15:25there so that they could blatantly
- 00:15:27impersonate me across platforms due for
- 00:15:29extremely personal information like my
- 00:15:30name, the names of my family, my
- 00:15:32friends, or where we live, and most
- 00:15:33apparently incriminate me by taking my
- 00:15:35posts out of their very ordinary
- 00:15:37context. Her main argument is that these
- 00:15:39things were taken out of context, but I
- 00:15:41don't think they were taken out of
- 00:15:42context. The things you said were the
- 00:15:44things you said. You weren't just saying
- 00:15:45them for fun. I mean, how do you even
- 00:15:47explain this? I mean, how do you not
- 00:15:49know what this was talking about? You
- 00:15:51don't just randomly name a show and not
- 00:15:53have any idea what any of the characters
- 00:15:54did in the show. She kind of responded
- 00:15:56on her TikTok account, too, to the
- 00:15:58allegations. And again, she uses that
- 00:16:00out of context argument over and over
- 00:16:02and over again, and it's just like at
- 00:16:03the end of the day, that isn't a valid
- 00:16:05argument. You have to have real evidence
- 00:16:06that it was out of context, and she just
- 00:16:08kind of fails to deliver that. Most of
- 00:16:09the video, she kind of just focuses on
- 00:16:11the little accusations. She talks about
- 00:16:12the harassment she got, which I get it.
- 00:16:14Yes, that is very very bad. Do not want
- 00:16:16to that to continue. That is not good.
- 00:16:19But at the end of the day, she spends
- 00:16:21little of her response video actually
- 00:16:23explaining how these things were taken
- 00:16:25out of context and just she kind of
- 00:16:27fails at defending herself to contort
- 00:16:29and make them as scandalous as
- 00:16:31conceivably possible. And fourthly, I
- 00:16:33changed my profile picture because I
- 00:16:35felt like it. The last of these three
- 00:16:37were very mild decisions, but were still
- 00:16:40heavily weaponized against me. Again,
- 00:16:42she spends little time actually
- 00:16:43explaining why she's in the wrong. I'm
- 00:16:45not going to go over every single
- 00:16:46accusation, but you can easily find her
- 00:16:47channel. Just look it up and you can see
- 00:16:49the video for yourself. Go through it,
- 00:16:50see what you think. But overall, the
- 00:16:52video just seems very like I know it's
- 00:16:54scripted. I mean, it's fine to script
- 00:16:55your videos, but it's just so scripted
- 00:16:57to the extent just the word she uses are
- 00:16:59very, very, very large. It almost feels
- 00:17:01like Chachi BT in a way. I don't know
- 00:17:03why, but maybe she just really likes to
- 00:17:04use big words. I know that's a dumb
- 00:17:06thing to focus on. It just kind of
- 00:17:07annoyed me. The whole time she was using
- 00:17:09these huge, huge, huge words. as an
- 00:17:11absolute reflection of herself. Instead,
- 00:17:14editing is always collectively reduced
- 00:17:16to being something solely based with an
- 00:17:18insecurity and disingenuousness. And she
- 00:17:21may just have a really good vocab. I
- 00:17:23know I'm probably just brained, but a
- 00:17:25lot of people did accuse her of CHBT, so
- 00:17:26I don't know if it's true or not, but
- 00:17:28it's a possibility she used it. I don't
- 00:17:29really know. At the end of the day,
- 00:17:30though, maybe we are all just brained
- 00:17:32from the amount of AI we see on the
- 00:17:34daily.
- 00:17:35[Music]
- 00:17:42And I went to her page after this entire
- 00:17:44situation went down and I guess she did
- 00:17:46get a few less hate comments in her
- 00:17:47YouTube channel especially for some
- 00:17:49reason. People kind of agreed with it. I
- 00:17:51see this happen. People get cancelceled.
- 00:17:53They make a response even if it's kind
- 00:17:54of poorly made. I don't know if it's
- 00:17:56just me, but that's happened quite a few
- 00:17:57times. And it doesn't always work.
- 00:17:58Sometimes the opposite happens. they'll
- 00:18:00get a lot of backlash, but sometimes
- 00:18:01they'll make a really poor response and
- 00:18:02everyone in the comments will be like,
- 00:18:04"I don't normally like you, but now I
- 00:18:05like you because you made a really,
- 00:18:07really bad response, but I like it for
- 00:18:08some reason." I don't know, that just
- 00:18:10happens sometimes. But her TikTok,
- 00:18:12people still don't like her. She's still
- 00:18:13getting hate comments a lot. And I mean,
- 00:18:15I guess that's just kind of that I feel
- 00:18:17bad, but like once again, this hate is
- 00:18:19really, really cruel, but it didn't come
- 00:18:20from nowhere. The comments she made were
- 00:18:22really inappropriate and weird, and they
- 00:18:24were definitely not taken out of
- 00:18:25context.
- 00:18:30[Music]
- 00:18:34And since there's been a lot of
- 00:18:36negativity, I guess I'm going to go on
- 00:18:37to something kind of positive about her.
- 00:18:39I personally think that she's really,
- 00:18:41really pretty. And I feel like it's kind
- 00:18:43of cool that she's open about her
- 00:18:44insecurities, so she doesn't like trap
- 00:18:46other girls or make other girls feel
- 00:18:48like they're like the only ones to feel
- 00:18:49this way. Because I know a lot of girls
- 00:18:51do edit their post, they probably feel
- 00:18:53really guilty about it. But this way,
- 00:18:54she's like, "Hey, I don't look this way
- 00:18:56naturally. I do a lot of editing, too.
- 00:18:58It's okay. It's okay to feel this way.
- 00:19:01It's normal. It's natural. So, while she
- 00:19:03has made a lot of comments and done some
- 00:19:04things that I really, really don't like
- 00:19:06and I find very problematic, that's
- 00:19:07something positive I'll say because I
- 00:19:09feel like a video just negative is I
- 00:19:11don't even know. I just want to be
- 00:19:12positive. Okay.
- 00:19:18[Music]
- 00:19:23that element being when you look hard
- 00:19:26enough or in other words, if you reach
- 00:19:28far enough into your line of sight.
- 00:19:30Again, the like you're assuming this or
- 00:19:33out of context argument is just so
- 00:19:35terrible and completely stupid that I
- 00:19:37can't get over she made this argument.
- 00:19:38That's how she defended against the L to
- 00:19:40the N arguments is that people said if
- 00:19:43you look hard enough you can see how
- 00:19:44this is portraying such a disturbing
- 00:19:46reality or such a disturbing thing. And
- 00:19:49no, it's not the whole like oh I can
- 00:19:51figure it out if I dig deep enough and
- 00:19:53if I look hard enough. No, it's like
- 00:19:56literally the song is representing it.
- 00:19:58The school uniform isn't appropriate.
- 00:20:00Like we're not just assuming this stuff.
- 00:20:01Like she's literally just kind of
- 00:20:02gaslighting at this point. I was
- 00:20:04expecting some actual evidence against
- 00:20:06it like oh this is a fake screenshot.
- 00:20:08blah blah blah. Nope. No denial on any
- 00:20:10of that. Just simply saying you guys
- 00:20:11assumed. You guys look too deep. The
- 00:20:13music I was listening to had actual
- 00:20:15references towards that. You know what?
- 00:20:17Towards doing that type of stuff. You
- 00:20:19guys are just assuming. You guys are
- 00:20:21looking too hard into it. I'm just I was
- 00:20:23just doing it for fun, guys. I wasn't
- 00:20:24thinking about it. You guys are all
- 00:20:26crazy. But you don't realize that
- 00:20:28because she literally talks about that
- 00:20:29way later into the video. She spends the
- 00:20:31first 10 minutes just talking about her
- 00:20:33situation, her harassment and stuff. And
- 00:20:35yes, once again, I get it. That is
- 00:20:37really really bad. But at the end of the
- 00:20:39day, you actually need to explain why
- 00:20:41the things made against you are false or
- 00:20:43or apologize at least instead of just
- 00:20:45arguing that people look too hard into
- 00:20:47it when there's literal evidence against
- 00:20:48you. Her entire response, to put it
- 00:20:50plainly, is just super condescending and
- 00:20:53super just like it's like she pulled it
- 00:20:55out of her butt last night. Like she
- 00:20:57just made it up. that she just came up
- 00:20:59with desperate attempts to defend
- 00:21:00herself because there really wasn't much
- 00:21:03to go against those arguments I went
- 00:21:04over except that we took it out of
- 00:21:06context or we looked into it too
- 00:21:08[Music]
- 00:21:12deeply. Yes. Imagine hating you for
- 00:21:15doing nothing. Like you're innocent. You
- 00:21:17did absolutely nothing. And no
- 00:21:19disrespect to this girl. Like I get it.
- 00:21:22You were got a lot of hate and stuff.
- 00:21:24You got a ton of hate. But at the end of
- 00:21:26the day, sometimes you got to
- 00:21:27acknowledge that some of the hate is
- 00:21:29criticism. It's not all just unwarranted
- 00:21:32harassment. Some of it is genuine
- 00:21:33criticism because a lot of the things
- 00:21:35you've done deserve criticism. Not
- 00:21:37people telling you to, you know what,
- 00:21:39that's just hate. But people that
- 00:21:40genuinely criticize you and don't kiss
- 00:21:42every single thing you do. Don't kiss
- 00:21:44your feet for every decision you make.
- 00:21:45That's criticism, not hate. And in her
- 00:21:48response, I shouldn't even call it an
- 00:21:49apology cuz she didn't really apologize
- 00:21:51at all. Okay, she didn't apologize at
- 00:21:53all, but in her response, she does talk
- 00:21:55about how her information was leaked,
- 00:21:58personal information, and that is
- 00:21:59really, really sad and disgusting on the
- 00:22:01internet. That's happening more and more
- 00:22:03because the internet's just becoming
- 00:22:04more of a thing. I've said that a
- 00:22:05million times, but like it is really,
- 00:22:07really sad that that type of stuff got
- 00:22:09leaked. And I feel bad for in that
- 00:22:11situation. I get that. That is very,
- 00:22:12very troubling. And that should never
- 00:22:13have happened. That is straight up just
- 00:22:15hate. That's beyond hate. That is
- 00:22:16horrible. But at the end of the day, it
- 00:22:18just doesn't give you an excuse to
- 00:22:21defend. Like, it's not an automatic
- 00:22:22thing to justify your actions. And I
- 00:22:25obviously don't support any of the
- 00:22:26things that were done to her to leak her
- 00:22:28information and stuff and put her mental
- 00:22:30health at such a serious risk. But what
- 00:22:32I'm saying is it's like my dog getting
- 00:22:34run over by a truck and then me being
- 00:22:35like, "It's okay that I sent those
- 00:22:37photos to children because my dog got
- 00:22:39run over." You know, it's two different
- 00:22:41things that you just simply can't use as
- 00:22:43a shield against criticism that is
- 00:22:44valid. While it isn't a morally correct
- 00:22:47strategy, it did work pretty effectively
- 00:22:49because the YouTube comments were kind
- 00:22:50of kissing her butt for no reason to.
- 00:22:52The entire response was just a big spit
- 00:22:54in the criticism's face. Like anyone who
- 00:22:56criticized her just getting spat in the
- 00:22:58face with that response video, but at
- 00:23:01the end of the day, people bought it.
- 00:23:02They bought it so much. They were like,
- 00:23:04"You're so great. I may not like you,
- 00:23:06but you are really great and your
- 00:23:07responses are great and everything about
- 00:23:09you is great." That's basically to
- 00:23:10summarize her comment section. If there
- 00:23:12was AI to summarize it, that's what it
- 00:23:14would say. I don't like you normally,
- 00:23:15but this was amazing and you're a
- 00:23:16perfect
- 00:23:21person. Something I've seen people do a
- 00:23:24lot and I've noticed is becoming more of
- 00:23:25a trend with influencers is that they
- 00:23:28don't actually attack an argument made
- 00:23:30against them. They kind of go for
- 00:23:31something else. Like, you don't support
- 00:23:33this action I made that was really,
- 00:23:34really disgusting and weird. Well, I
- 00:23:36guess you support all that stuff that
- 00:23:38people said about me. I guess you
- 00:23:39support this thing I don't support. It's
- 00:23:41just like they don't actually attack the
- 00:23:43criticism. they go for something else,
- 00:23:44something that makes that person look
- 00:23:46bad because they can't actually attack
- 00:23:48the argument because they're in the
- 00:23:49wrong. It's basically like using
- 00:23:51labeling or something to make yourself
- 00:23:54invincible to criticism. It's something
- 00:23:56I just see being done. I know some of
- 00:23:58you don't know what I'm talking about,
- 00:23:59but the more chronically online people
- 00:24:01probably are forming an image of someone
- 00:24:03of some sort. I can't think of anyone
- 00:24:05specifically right now, but some of you
- 00:24:07probably have someone in mind. And it's
- 00:24:08so easy to deny it. Like, I didn't know.
- 00:24:11I didn't know. But like you can't really
- 00:24:12deny the screenshots. Like there's just
- 00:24:14the evidence piling on her is
- 00:24:16overwhelming and the out of context
- 00:24:18argument simply doesn't cover it all.
- 00:24:20How are you going to cosplay being
- 00:24:21intelligent and eloquent and all of that
- 00:24:24when you don't even have any
- 00:24:25self-awareness? I've been thinking about
- 00:24:26like what bugged me the most about
- 00:24:28Umichi's non-apology is the fact that
- 00:24:31she presents herself as this like
- 00:24:33intelligent academic um Englishspeaking
- 00:24:36person. I found a girl on Tik Tok who
- 00:24:38did a really good job kind of breaking
- 00:24:40down why her response was just really
- 00:24:42really poorly made and just bad. She
- 00:24:44starts off by saying how she just is
- 00:24:46really condescending and tries to act
- 00:24:47like she's smarter than everyone, which
- 00:24:49is true. She is clearly trying to act
- 00:24:51like she's like way more intelligent
- 00:24:52than all of her viewers, but then she's
- 00:24:54going to make this video um asking
- 00:24:56people to give their criticisms about
- 00:24:59her even though they've been doing that.
- 00:25:01But again, she's trying to present
- 00:25:02herself as this like educated, eloquent
- 00:25:05um person. but again doesn't have the
- 00:25:08self-awareness to be able to identify
- 00:25:10what people are so angry about. Exactly.
- 00:25:13She basically skips over all the actual
- 00:25:15bad accusations and spends the majority
- 00:25:16of the video complaining about the
- 00:25:18threat she got which once again for the
- 00:25:20hundth time because I know someone's
- 00:25:21going to take this out of context. Get
- 00:25:24it? Because anytime someone says one of
- 00:25:25the screenshots of the thing she says
- 00:25:27which is terrible is bad, it's probably
- 00:25:29just out of context and they're probably
- 00:25:31just digging too deep into it. But
- 00:25:32anyway, obviously those things were
- 00:25:34absolutely terrible, but it just doesn't
- 00:25:36act as a shield. It shouldn't be a
- 00:25:37shield for the things she said and done.
- 00:25:39Make it make sense. And also, the
- 00:25:41purpose of that video wasn't to gather
- 00:25:44the constructive criticism that she was
- 00:25:45asking for in that video. Judging for
- 00:25:47the from the comments that she would
- 00:25:48like in the comment section, she's
- 00:25:50basically just liking the comments that
- 00:25:52are kissing her. For those who don't
- 00:25:53know, she made a video asking for
- 00:25:54criticism. Basically making herself or
- 00:25:57trying to make herself look like an open
- 00:25:58for criticism person. She isn't,
- 00:26:00obviously. You can just see from her
- 00:26:02response, she doesn't actually care
- 00:26:03about hearing criticism. She just
- 00:26:05classifies it all as hate. So, that
- 00:26:07video was just there to affirm her u
- 00:26:10belief that she didn't do anything wrong
- 00:26:11and that she doesn't have to apologize
- 00:26:12for anything, which is why she didn't
- 00:26:14make an apology video initially and just
- 00:26:16made that asking for constructive
- 00:26:19criticism video. And honestly, I think
- 00:26:21it's so silly the way she worded that
- 00:26:22whole video. Also, like, girl, just get
- 00:26:24straight to the point. Not everything
- 00:26:26needs big words. Not everything needs
- 00:26:28flowery, complicated. Yeah, I could be
- 00:26:30missing something, but it just felt
- 00:26:32really, really condescending. But I've
- 00:26:33seen this with a lot of influencers.
- 00:26:35People just want to be condescending
- 00:26:36because they got a lot of hate. They got
- 00:26:38a lot of mean stuff, and they're like,
- 00:26:39"Yeah, ha. This is me spitting back at
- 00:26:41it. This is me fighting back." Absolute
- 00:26:43reflection of herself. Instead, editing
- 00:26:45is always collectively reduced to being
- 00:26:47something solely based with an
- 00:26:48insecurity and disingenuousness because
- 00:26:50people cannot stand nor comprehend how
- 00:26:53others can just so easily reject that,
- 00:26:55do it on such a large scale for and it
- 00:26:57wouldn't really matter. Don't take this
- 00:26:59video as me attacking her style. Like,
- 00:27:01you can do whatever you want on Tik Tok
- 00:27:02as long as it's not something involving
- 00:27:04the younger group of people, if you know
- 00:27:06what I mean. But social media shouldn't
- 00:27:08be a way to shut yourself down. Express
- 00:27:10your insecurities, all that, all that,
- 00:27:13and show like that you like to do this
- 00:27:16certain thing you like to do. There's a
- 00:27:17place on Tik Tok for every community.
- 00:27:19Every community that's not illegal,
- 00:27:21obviously, but every community of people
- 00:27:23that want to look at girls that want to
- 00:27:25dress like dolls, girls that want to
- 00:27:28cosplay as any character from any show.
- 00:27:30Like, there's a community for everyone.
- 00:27:32And that's something kind of sweet about
- 00:27:33Tik Tok. There are so many problems with
- 00:27:34social media. And I'm not a social media
- 00:27:36hater. Obviously, I'd be a super big
- 00:27:38hypocrite if I was. Like, I love social
- 00:27:40media and what it's done for people. But
- 00:27:42something I really really like about it
- 00:27:44is that it gives communities to people
- 00:27:46and gives people opportunities to
- 00:27:47express themselves in ways that you
- 00:27:49can't just normally go around dressed
- 00:27:50like a porcelain doll. But on Tik Tok
- 00:27:53you can. You can get likes. You can get
- 00:27:54love for it. Just like how I couldn't go
- 00:27:57to school and give a presentation on a
- 00:27:58Tik Tocker who's canceled. Everyone
- 00:28:00would think I'm the weirdest person on
- 00:28:01earth. It's just like social media has a
- 00:28:03group for everyone for every genre.
- 00:28:05That's not once again illegal. But as
- 00:28:07the famous saying by someone I have no
- 00:28:09idea some Roman dude or something goes,
- 00:28:11with great power comes great
- 00:28:12responsibility. When you have all these
- 00:28:14followers, when you have all these
- 00:28:15views, you have to be responsible. You
- 00:28:17can't just say this careless stuff. You
- 00:28:19can't post careless stuff. You have to
- 00:28:21be careful with what you do because a
- 00:28:23lot of eyes are on you. It's not like
- 00:28:24you're an account with one follower that
- 00:28:26no one will care about. And of course,
- 00:28:27it's probably stressful to like live up
- 00:28:29to their expectations and stuff. I mean,
- 00:28:31sometimes you just post random stuff,
- 00:28:33but like at the end of the day, I know
- 00:28:34it's probably stressful. especially
- 00:28:36because a lot of people are hating on
- 00:28:38you. But at the end of the day, you just
- 00:28:39there's no excuse for what you did. And
- 00:28:42since you were unable to apologize and
- 00:28:44decide to deliver the most condescending
- 00:28:46response of all time, you deserve valid
- 00:28:48criticism. I have to be honest, in all
- 00:28:50my years, okay, I've only had this
- 00:28:52channel for like 2 years or 1 year or
- 00:28:54something, but in all the time I've made
- 00:28:56these videos and all the research I've
- 00:28:58done, she probably has one of the most
- 00:29:00condescending responses I've ever seen.
- 00:29:02I've never seen someone with such a
- 00:29:04stuckup attitude make a response before.
- 00:29:06Like genuinely, it is one of the worst
- 00:29:08things I've ever seen. YouTube shorts or
- 00:29:10Tik Tockers try not to act condescending
- 00:29:12in response video challenge level
- 00:29:14literally impossible. She can't address
- 00:29:17anything. She doesn't address any
- 00:29:18arguments being thrown at her the entire
- 00:29:20video. She just is like, "Oh, you guys
- 00:29:21took it out of context. Oh, you guys
- 00:29:23look too deep into it." You don't
- 00:29:25actually defend yourself. I am not
- 00:29:27exaggerating. the first like one-third
- 00:29:29of the video is talking about her mental
- 00:29:31health and the harassment stuff. And I
- 00:29:33get it. That's bad. But you're making a
- 00:29:34response to allegations. That could be a
- 00:29:36separate video. That just isn't an
- 00:29:38excuse for the things you did. That
- 00:29:40isn't a shield. That should not act as
- 00:29:41like, oh, everything I did is okay
- 00:29:43because these things happened to me. And
- 00:29:45since you don't really have any evidence
- 00:29:47against the things, you still have a
- 00:29:48chance to apologize. I mean, we all make
- 00:29:50mistakes. Yours were kind of serious.
- 00:29:52But at the end of the day, if we didn't
- 00:29:53forgive any mistakes anyone made, I
- 00:29:55mean, where would we be in society? we
- 00:29:57wouldn't go anywhere. But you can't even
- 00:29:59apologize when there's like literal
- 00:30:01evidence against you saying these nasty
- 00:30:02things. You're like, "Oh, you guys look
- 00:30:04too deep into it. You guys are just
- 00:30:05throwing all these evil things at me."
- 00:30:07And I'm going to make it clear I hate
- 00:30:08her in absolutely no way and she doesn't
- 00:30:11deserve any of the things that happened
- 00:30:12to her. But once again, it just should
- 00:30:14not be this excuse or this shield for
- 00:30:16the criticism because there's valid
- 00:30:18criticism. Like the things I gave at the
- 00:30:19beginning, that's valid criticism. That
- 00:30:21is not hate. That is, hey, you said
- 00:30:23this. That's not really that cool. I
- 00:30:24don't hate you as a person, but like the
- 00:30:26things you did are not cool. Her
- 00:30:28response was basically, you don't like
- 00:30:30apples, so you like oranges. It was that
- 00:30:32kind of thing. It was just it was a
- 00:30:33mess. It was a complete mess. And I'm
- 00:30:35just saddened that she published that
- 00:30:37thinking that was like an
- 00:30:38accomplishment. And even more saddened
- 00:30:39that the comments were eating it up.
- 00:30:41Social media is just such a strange
- 00:30:43place. It's just like it could never
- 00:30:45happen in real life type things. And
- 00:30:46it's just very, very strange. I hope the
- 00:30:49harassment dies down for her. That did
- 00:30:50sound really rough. I hope her mental
- 00:30:52health gets better, but at the end of
- 00:30:53the day, she shouldn't be using that as
- 00:30:54a shield for the things she's done in
- 00:30:56the past. Girl, we did not get anything
- 00:30:57out of context. Stop saying that over
- 00:30:59and over again. Saying it a million
- 00:31:01times doesn't make it true. Your
- 00:31:02response is just really, really rough.
- 00:31:04Hope you improve in the future. And with
- 00:31:05that, the video is done. I don't think
- 00:31:07anyone's going to make it this far
- 00:31:08because it's a pretty long video, but I
- 00:31:10felt like talking for a while because
- 00:31:11I've been working at my stupid job,
- 00:31:14summer job all day, and I just want to
- 00:31:15talk. So, yeah. I'll see you in the next
- 00:31:17one. Thank you so much. If you made it
- 00:31:18this far, please donate to the GoFundMe.
