ShipTalk S03E07 - Nic Acton talks with Ron Gidron (CEO, xtype.io)
- 00:00:03New clickbait wasteland who we love and
- 00:00:06support in the Bronx. Probably going to
- 00:00:08be annoying because it's the Bronx.
- 00:00:11Hey, today I'm in the Bronx asking
- 00:00:12people about the mayoral election in New
- 00:00:14York City. Uh, this is a really
- 00:00:16interesting area because in the 2024
- 00:00:19presidential
- 00:00:19Why is it so hard for Dems to come to
- 00:00:20grips with the new political reality?
- 00:00:22Can't just be Apac. It's Apac. I mean,
- 00:00:24it's it's it's corportocracy, but like
- 00:00:26Apac being the loudest of those
- 00:00:28corporate voices. Yeah, for sure. Pretty
- 00:00:30much just that. I mean there look in a
- 00:00:32system where basically every politician
- 00:00:35has to fall in line inevitably just as a
- 00:00:37natural like selection kind of deal, you
- 00:00:39will end up having politicians that are
- 00:00:41entirely useless um griping little
- 00:00:45bureaucrats whose only job is to accept
- 00:00:47money from uh corporate interests. like
- 00:00:49you you you it's it's not as though by
- 00:00:52having decades and decades and decades
- 00:00:54of selection towards that kind of
- 00:00:55corruption, you're then going to have a
- 00:00:57a base of people who go, "Oh my god,
- 00:01:00there's a new political zeitgeist and we
- 00:01:02need to follow it." And it takes all it
- 00:01:04requires is betraying all of our
- 00:01:05principles and donors. Not going to
- 00:01:07happen.
- 00:01:08Election. Uh there are three different
- 00:01:10precincts here around this neighborhood.
- 00:01:12And although all the precincts voted for
- 00:01:14Kla Harris, uh there were significant
- 00:01:17swings in votes toward Trump. So in one
- 00:01:20of the precincts there was a 42 point
- 00:01:22swing toward Trump between 2020 and
- 00:01:242024.
- 00:01:25In another precinct there was a plus 41
- 00:01:27swing toward Trump. And in another
- 00:01:29there's a plus 32 swing toward Trump.
- 00:01:32Now in the 2025 mayor
- 00:01:34the three people in this one be crazy.
- 00:01:35Do you think that by spoiling the
- 00:01:37contents of the video you're improving
- 00:01:39the viewing experience? Do you typically
- 00:01:40do that when watching movies with
- 00:01:41friends? Do you say like dog the third
- 00:01:44act twist in this one goes hard. I'm
- 00:01:47watching the video
- 00:01:48primary. Two of those precincts voted
- 00:01:51for Cuomo.
- 00:01:52Sorry. More significant margin and one
- 00:01:54by a lesser margin.
- 00:01:56And then one of the precincts voted for
- 00:01:57Mumani and he won that area by one vote.
- 00:02:00So I'm talking to people about the
- 00:02:02general election. And you may actually
- 00:02:04recognize this background behind me
- 00:02:06because after the 2024 presidential
- 00:02:08election, Zoron came here and he talked
- 00:02:11to voters about um their
- 00:02:13That's right. This was one of his first
- 00:02:15breakout videos. Yeah, that's right. I I
- 00:02:17remember this. I remember this. I mean,
- 00:02:18maybe it was like a similar looking one,
- 00:02:20I guess, but I um Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 00:02:22concerns. And a lot of people said that
- 00:02:24they were just kind of disappointed with
- 00:02:26the Democratic party that they were more
- 00:02:28focused on cost of living and economic
- 00:02:29issues. So, I'm curious to see whether
- 00:02:32those issues are still resonating with
- 00:02:33people and what they're thinking about
- 00:02:36the general election in November.
- 00:02:37It's not your responsibility to tell
- 00:02:39people inter how to interact with their
- 00:02:41friends. Actually, I disagree. I think
- 00:02:42that mentality is why we're in the ship
- 00:02:44pit we are now where everyone's
- 00:02:45antisocial. No one knows how to act in
- 00:02:47public. Nobody knows how to make
- 00:02:48friends. It's this um you I got mine.
- 00:02:51It's not your business to tell me. No, I
- 00:02:52disagree. Actually, every human being on
- 00:02:54Earth's lives are my business and vice
- 00:02:56versa. All right. If you're being a
- 00:02:58[ __ ] to your friends, that is my
- 00:03:00business. Okay? There are knock-on
- 00:03:01effects you can't even begin to
- 00:03:03perceive. What if the great
- 00:03:04grandchildren of your friends who are uh
- 00:03:06uh tainted by the the wretched behavior
- 00:03:09you exhibit now are annoying to my
- 00:03:11great-grandchildren? Okay. I I reject
- 00:03:13this premise. I actually think
- 00:03:15everything is my business and I will
- 00:03:16judge you.
- 00:03:17Are there any candidates who you've
- 00:03:19heard about who you're leaning toward
- 00:03:20for the general election?
- 00:03:21Well, I'm definitely leaning towards the
- 00:03:24new one, the 33y old, I forget his name.
- 00:03:26You
- 00:03:27Yes.
- 00:03:28He's fresh. He's new. He's energetic.
- 00:03:32Adams.
- 00:03:34Yeah. Just with him moving to
- 00:03:37independent says a lot cuz he knows
- 00:03:40Democrats are not going to go for him.
- 00:03:42Not after what he did. So,
- 00:03:45what did you think about Andrew Cuomo?
- 00:03:47I love Andrew Cuomo. I feel so bad that
- 00:03:50uh he didn't I mean, he was there, but
- 00:03:53he didn't get the prize. So, you know, I
- 00:03:57think for the general election, this guy
- 00:04:00is young. He's enter.
- 00:04:02Listen, okay, it's called vote blue no
- 00:04:04matter who. You can't be mad at her for
- 00:04:05being consistent.
- 00:04:07He gravitates a lot of young people. And
- 00:04:09that's what Washington needs. They need
- 00:04:12young blood, new blood, and and people
- 00:04:14that are aware of what we're going
- 00:04:17through, you know, the needs of New
- 00:04:19York.
- 00:04:20So, um, Andrew Cuomo, it looks like he's
- 00:04:23still running and maybe could run as an
- 00:04:25independent between mom and
- 00:04:27probably vote for him.
- 00:04:28For Cuomo?
- 00:04:29Yeah. Because he was governor,
- 00:04:32so who knows the city better than he
- 00:04:34does?
- 00:04:34Ah,
- 00:04:35a little skeptical. Not about corruption
- 00:04:39as much, but I'm pretty sure he learns
- 00:04:42his lesson when it comes to womanizing
- 00:04:44and stuff like that. Mhm.
- 00:04:46So I would lean towards him.
- 00:04:49You know,
- 00:04:50listen, he's stopped being Italian.
- 00:04:52Okay. He's learned to no long he's no
- 00:04:54longer Italian.
- 00:04:57So as an independent, if that's what
- 00:04:59he's going to do because I I heard
- 00:05:01that's what he was going to do, I I I
- 00:05:03would lean towards him before I lean
- 00:05:05towards Adams ever.
- 00:05:07And between Adams and Mumani, you would
- 00:05:09go
- 00:05:10I would go with Mandani. Oh, for sure.
- 00:05:13That's for sure. Um, so what's the top
- 00:05:15issue to you as a New Yorker?
- 00:05:18The the the all the hikes, the rent
- 00:05:20hikes are
- 00:05:22Oh my god, man.
- 00:05:23They're just unbelievable. you know, the
- 00:05:26rents, uh, uh, price gouging, you know,
- 00:05:31schools, you know, these kids, you know,
- 00:05:33they they need help, you know, and if if
- 00:05:39that I know I know Cuomo can do it cuz
- 00:05:42he's a powerhouse and he's mad
- 00:05:43experienced.
- 00:05:44It's cra It's crazy, dude. It's cra
- 00:05:50I can't No, it is fried. They're
- 00:05:52chocked. The whole goddamn country, the
- 00:05:54world, I guess she'll come around. I
- 00:05:57hope so. I hope so.
- 00:05:59But the young blood, you got to
- 00:06:02sometimes give them a break. And if he
- 00:06:05were to take it, I would be okay with
- 00:06:08that. I definitely would be disappointed
- 00:06:11with Adams if he were to take it, which
- 00:06:13I doubt very much because there are a
- 00:06:15lot of people that are disappointed with
- 00:06:17him. If you don't mind sharing, uh, who
- 00:06:19did you vote for in the 2024
- 00:06:21presidential election?
- 00:06:23Well, Harris,
- 00:06:25for sure.
- 00:06:25Is there a rhetorical way we can address
- 00:06:27creeps like Trump and Cuomo? No. Voters
- 00:06:29don't care if people are rapists. They
- 00:06:31just don't. It's like this is this has
- 00:06:33been demonstrated over and over and over
- 00:06:34and over again. Um, they literally do
- 00:06:37not care if a person is a rapist. A
- 00:06:39person, even women will will disbelieve
- 00:06:41women who accuse them. Voters are pro-
- 00:06:44rape. If anything, it shows that you've
- 00:06:46got the gumption. um to to get things
- 00:06:48moving forward to the to the voter. You
- 00:06:50know, they do not care.
- 00:06:52You think I wanted that lunatic in
- 00:06:53there? We are suffering and it's three
- 00:06:56more years of his craziness. You know,
- 00:06:59look at what's h what's happened and he
- 00:07:01hasn't even been there a full year and
- 00:07:03he's created such chaos. But those are
- 00:07:06smoke screens for the illegal things
- 00:07:08that he's doing that he's not saying
- 00:07:10anything about because he's not letting
- 00:07:12anybody know. I'm very aware. I pay very
- 00:07:15close attention to politics. I'm sure
- 00:07:17you have to nowadays, you know, because
- 00:07:19you have to know who's going to be
- 00:07:21running because that goes
- 00:07:22I mean, she seems nice, right? Like with
- 00:07:24this is this is far from the worst. This
- 00:07:26is far from the worst.
- 00:07:30That take out of your pocket. And right
- 00:07:32now he's taking out of our pocket and
- 00:07:34making the wealthier wealthier. That's
- 00:07:36the opposite of Robin Hood. You know,
- 00:07:39take from the rich and give to the poor.
- 00:07:40He's taking from the poor and giving to
- 00:07:42the rich. And that just makes no sense.
- 00:07:45What's your name?
- 00:07:46My name is Corey with a K. Cory G.
- 00:07:48Nice to meet you. And do you live in
- 00:07:49this area?
- 00:07:50I do. I live in the area. I work in the
- 00:07:51community shelter.
- 00:07:53Work as community activist.
- 00:07:55Okay. So, you're pretty, you know,
- 00:07:57tapped into the politics of this area. I
- 00:07:58was curious, who do you support for
- 00:08:00mayor? Um, and did you vote in the
- 00:08:02primary?
- 00:08:02I didn't vote. Um, but I I really wasn't
- 00:08:05a fond of Mer Adams either. He was cool,
- 00:08:08but certain things that he did was good
- 00:08:10and certain things I didn't really like.
- 00:08:12far as the new guy, Mr. uh Mad Ramy, I
- 00:08:15don't know how to pronounce
- 00:08:15Mani. Mani about that. Um
- 00:08:18I don't really know if that's going to
- 00:08:20work with the whole socialist thing
- 00:08:22because some of the ideas as far as like
- 00:08:24small business owner. I'm also a small
- 00:08:25business owner. If you want to take it
- 00:08:27and and have the state control things
- 00:08:29like that, that won't be good for people
- 00:08:31who want to have their own small
- 00:08:32business. So I think that a socialism
- 00:08:34full out socialism wouldn't work for
- 00:08:36America in my opin and for this city.
- 00:08:38Petite Bourgeoa doing what they do best.
- 00:08:41Mamani is literally like pro small
- 00:08:43business. You know it's it's up because
- 00:08:45like a community where you get your
- 00:08:48commodity needs met through small
- 00:08:50businesses is almost certainly healthier
- 00:08:52than one where you get them met through
- 00:08:54giant like transnational corporations.
- 00:08:56But small business owners are
- 00:08:59consistently just as Hitlerite as like
- 00:09:02like if you if you take small business
- 00:09:04owners as like a class the petwa and you
- 00:09:06scale them up to like or or you stack
- 00:09:08them up against I don't know Silicon
- 00:09:09Valley like tech workers or something. I
- 00:09:11don't know. I don't know. It's crazy
- 00:09:13man. They they're so bad at determining
- 00:09:15their I I keep going back to I remember
- 00:09:18this in the neighborhood that I grew up
- 00:09:20in in Beverly Hills there is a
- 00:09:22commercial road. I think it's is it
- 00:09:23Beverly Drive? Is it Robertson? I think
- 00:09:25it's Robertson. Uh, and it's just it's
- 00:09:27got a lot of small mom and pop
- 00:09:29businesses on it, right? And it had
- 00:09:32trees that ran down the uh the length of
- 00:09:35the boulevard, provided shade to the
- 00:09:37parking spots, to the people walking
- 00:09:38down. And these small business owners
- 00:09:40who own the businesses that were covered
- 00:09:43by those trees pushed the city to chop
- 00:09:45the trees down because they were tired
- 00:09:46of having to sweep up leaves. And now
- 00:09:48the entire road is this like barren like
- 00:09:52LA heat on the concrete like pounding
- 00:09:56uh unpleasant. It's crazy. They're just
- 00:09:58so [ __ ] stupid
- 00:10:01in my opinion. I think that might be
- 00:10:03something we have to reconsider, you
- 00:10:05know? It's just kind of just out of
- 00:10:07nowhere. It's really weird.
- 00:10:08So when you say like a state controlled
- 00:10:10business, are you talking about like the
- 00:10:12grocery store proposal?
- 00:10:13Yeah. And like the small mom and pop
- 00:10:15businesses like I grew up in Harlem. you
- 00:10:17don't have a lot of small and mom and
- 00:10:18pop business anymore because everything
- 00:10:20has been taken over by like the big
- 00:10:22businesses like uh health food and all
- 00:10:25this other stuff. So, it's not
- 00:10:26it really doesn't matter who you talk
- 00:10:27to. It doesn't matter what part of the
- 00:10:29country you're in. 99% of the time if
- 00:10:31you ask a person who they support for
- 00:10:34the um presidency or mayorship or
- 00:10:36whatever, they'll give their answer and
- 00:10:38then they'll say essentially because of
- 00:10:40capitalism. They'll say like, "I'm tired
- 00:10:42of capitalism so I'm voting for Trump.
- 00:10:44I'm tired of capitalism so I'm voting
- 00:10:45for Kla Harris. I'm tired of capitalism,
- 00:10:47so I'm voting for Cuomo. I'm tired of
- 00:10:49capitalism, so I'm voting for Eric Adam.
- 00:10:51Like, it every single time, every state,
- 00:10:54every city, it doesn't matter who the
- 00:10:55politician is
- 00:11:00unfair to a person that's a young upand
- 00:11:02cominging uh business owner. It's not as
- 00:11:03It's kind of scary. It's a weird feel
- 00:11:05like we're living in a weird era.
- 00:11:07Yeah. One of his proposals is to cut
- 00:11:09some of the red tape for small
- 00:11:11businesses. Would you be in favor of
- 00:11:12something like that or
- 00:11:13which what is that red tape meaning like
- 00:11:16to
- 00:11:17Jesus Christ? What kind of small
- 00:11:19business do you operate exactly? Is it
- 00:11:20legal? Do you report it to the IRS?
- 00:11:23The permitting that you have to go
- 00:11:24through and all the paperwork. Now
- 00:11:26that'll be cool, but it's just like I
- 00:11:28don't want to get taxed crazy, you know,
- 00:11:29and I don't want want to something my
- 00:11:31business be controlled and taken over by
- 00:11:33the state like you were somewhere where
- 00:11:35everything is controlled by the
- 00:11:37government and it's that's not fair cuz
- 00:11:39it kind of it's just it's not
- 00:11:41encouraging for a person who wants to
- 00:11:42start their own business, you know?
- 00:11:44So, would you vote for the general
- 00:11:46election? Cuomo still seems like he's
- 00:11:48running and then Adams is running again.
- 00:11:50Would you vote for one of those?
- 00:11:52I'd rather go I'd rather go with Adams.
- 00:11:55I'm sorry. And I don't I'm not really
- 00:11:57fond of him, but I would rather go with
- 00:11:58Adams than go with something like that
- 00:12:00because that's just like I it's just I
- 00:12:02don't it's just a lot coming out of
- 00:12:04nowhere and it's just like this guy just
- 00:12:06flew out of nowhere and then he's saying
- 00:12:07all these things and it's just like hey,
- 00:12:09slow down. I just like I feel like I
- 00:12:10need to get to know this person a little
- 00:12:11bit more.
- 00:12:12Riveting,
- 00:12:12you know? I really like someone with
- 00:12:14like more experience.
- 00:12:15Yes, more experience. More experience in
- 00:12:18politics and you know, I would like to
- 00:12:20see someone who has experience with
- 00:12:21running a city, a budget and all of
- 00:12:23these things. I feel like he may be a
- 00:12:24little more cuckoo for cocoa puffs. Like
- 00:12:26I feel like he smokes like like uh
- 00:12:29psychedelics and stuff. I think he needs
- 00:12:31to be somewhere else opposed to running
- 00:12:32a city, you know?
- 00:12:34Yeah.
- 00:12:34If you don't mind me asking, did you
- 00:12:35vote in the 2024 presidential election?
- 00:12:37I didn't. I'm I'm I voted back for I
- 00:12:40voted for Obama twice. After that, I I
- 00:12:41stopped.
- 00:12:43God damn it. I'm just not beating the
- 00:12:45allegations.
- 00:12:46[Laughter]
- 00:12:49It's vote vote black no matter who.
- 00:12:51Actually,
- 00:12:52stop voting. So, I didn't I didn't vote.
- 00:12:54No, I didn't. No.
- 00:12:55This is an interesting interesting area
- 00:12:57because a lot of areas swung from Biden
- 00:12:59to Trump from 2020.
- 00:13:01Last summer, this city, this
- 00:13:03neighborhood looked different when it
- 00:13:04was Biden. And it's just it's politics.
- 00:13:06This is America. You know, one one year
- 00:13:08it may be this this family ruling, next
- 00:13:11year it may be that. It's just you can't
- 00:13:13I don't I don't put my trust in
- 00:13:14politics. I I put it in the most high,
- 00:13:16you know. Okay.
- 00:13:17It's like a reality show right now in
- 00:13:18America.
- 00:13:19Okay.
- 00:13:20What are your top issue? I'll let you go
- 00:13:21then. Um, what are your top issues as a
- 00:13:23New Yorker?
- 00:13:23As a New Yorker, uh, Rent Rent is
- 00:13:26I'm going to lose it, dude.
- 00:13:29Every time.
- 00:13:32Oh my god.
- 00:13:35There's no escape. There's no escape,
- 00:13:38dude.
- 00:13:40Jesus Christ.
- 00:13:42I hate this country. I hate this
- 00:13:45country. I hate religion. I hate voters.
- 00:13:48I hate politics,
- 00:13:50man.
- 00:13:51the re the the reason there are so many
- 00:13:53evil people in politics is because if
- 00:13:55you have a shred of integrity the just
- 00:13:58sheer the reality of dealing with the
- 00:14:00voting population will sand blast you
- 00:14:03into a Hillary Clinton. I like my I'm of
- 00:14:06the opinion that people like Hillary
- 00:14:08Clinton started out earnest and having
- 00:14:11like a vision for the future because
- 00:14:13every young adult does and some people
- 00:14:16just weather the sand blasting better
- 00:14:18than others, right? And you have people
- 00:14:20with an iron will like Bernie Sanders
- 00:14:22who just stay the same for 80 years. And
- 00:14:24then you have people who eventually just
- 00:14:26become like the like you become the
- 00:14:28spherical corporate Democrat like the
- 00:14:30the frictionless uh zero gravity sphere
- 00:14:33that you know the the mathematically
- 00:14:35precise model
- 00:14:36is really high. I was homeless for 2
- 00:14:38years. I literally just moved out of a
- 00:14:39shelter and got my voucher. So housing
- 00:14:41is a big issue for a lot of people and I
- 00:14:43personally know that. um the prices for
- 00:14:45transportation and things like that and
- 00:14:47food. The these are very important
- 00:14:49things that we should be concerned
- 00:14:50about, you know.
- 00:14:51Great.
- 00:14:52Yeah. Thank you so much. I really
- 00:14:53appreciate your time.
- 00:14:54What are your thoughts on this election?
- 00:14:56Uh
- 00:14:57hello. You have a a distinctive look.
- 00:14:59Uh New York better vote Republican or
- 00:15:01Libertarian like the city depends on it
- 00:15:03because uh one more communist or one
- 00:15:05more criminal and this city's done if
- 00:15:06you haven't seen what they've already
- 00:15:07done to it.
- 00:15:08Okay, so this guy voted for um
- 00:15:12fenthanil.
- 00:15:13You can't do all this. You can't have an
- 00:15:16unlawful city. Especially when they're
- 00:15:17up there like Eric Adams screaming out,
- 00:15:19"This is a black run city. Black, black,
- 00:15:20black, black." All the racism they got
- 00:15:22going on. What does your skin color have
- 00:15:24to do with anything? And I love how they
- 00:15:27push all this racism on the Republicans.
- 00:15:28If anybody read a history book, wasn't
- 00:15:30Abraham Lincoln a Republican?
- 00:15:32Holy [ __ ]
- 00:15:35Is he doing a bit? This guy had I'm
- 00:15:37surprised the woman chose him to to for
- 00:15:39for an interview with the enormous
- 00:15:42planet-sized chip he had in his shoulder
- 00:15:44coming into this. Jesus Christ. He
- 00:15:46didn't take any prompting at all. Like
- 00:15:47this guy put no effort into not like
- 00:15:50pretending to not be crazy
- 00:15:53that not Abraham Lincoln. Yeah. Lincoln
- 00:15:55that freed the slaves from the
- 00:15:57Democrats. Like anybody remember basic
- 00:15:59high school history? And uh we're not a
- 00:16:01democracy. We're a constitutional
- 00:16:03republic. You learn that in grade
- 00:16:04school. What happened to people? When
- 00:16:06did they become so stupid? We live in
- 00:16:08idiocracy. Can we get
- 00:16:10Okay, this guy's actually bit Okay, I
- 00:16:13Fent was a bad call. Is Do you think
- 00:16:15it's meth? There's no way this guy is
- 00:16:18all here right now. It's got to be Yeah,
- 00:16:20it's got to be meth. Fent was like a was
- 00:16:23a bad call. I think he's got to be
- 00:16:25tweaking right now.
- 00:16:27Is it Kamacho?
- 00:16:28So, are you um supporting Slewall then?
- 00:16:31Yeah, like Curtis. My problem with him
- 00:16:33is Curtis, leave the weed alone.
- 00:16:35Oh, yeah. I just saw his teeth. Yeah.
- 00:16:36Okay. Seems pretty likely.
- 00:16:39All right. Because here's the problem.
- 00:16:40Here's what Republicans and Democrats of
- 00:16:41Uni Party do. I'm a libertarian. And you
- 00:16:44know what? They both love to attack. The
- 00:16:46left loves to attack the guns and the
- 00:16:48right likes to attack the drugs. If
- 00:16:50you're not hurting nobody, you're not
- 00:16:52stealing from nobody, and there's no
- 00:16:53victim, what's the crime?
- 00:16:56You should be able to own guns, and you
- 00:16:58should be able to smoke your weed just
- 00:16:59fine if you're not a criminal. I'm
- 00:17:01becoming a Leninist. It's very
- 00:17:04difficult. I Oh man, it you really you
- 00:17:08really begin to appreciate how much
- 00:17:10democracy is aberant and like
- 00:17:12authoritarianism is the norm throughout
- 00:17:13human history. Everyone had an emperor
- 00:17:16or a pharaoh or a king or a queen uh or
- 00:17:19something like that. Just a tiny little
- 00:17:22sliver of time where people are like,
- 00:17:23"What if we let average people make
- 00:17:25decisions?" I don't know. Going to have
- 00:17:27to apologize to all the tankies. At
- 00:17:29least I'm honest with my like negative
- 00:17:31polarization. Okay, a lot of them
- 00:17:33they're do they're they're on their like
- 00:17:35[ __ ] dictatorship of the proletariat
- 00:17:37nonsense while they're jerking off
- 00:17:39Stalin. Like you you don't care about
- 00:17:40democracy.
- 00:17:42It's all control patterns from this uni
- 00:17:44party. Okay? They're not your friends.
- 00:17:46It's never for your safety and they work
- 00:17:48for us. They're public servants. We run
- 00:17:51the show. Ask me why I have to go ask a
- 00:17:54public servant that I have to have
- 00:17:56permission to buy a gun, which is my
- 00:17:58second god-given right.
- 00:18:01What happened to this country? People
- 00:18:02wake up.
- 00:18:04So, do you mind me uh if I ask who did
- 00:18:06you vote for in the 2024 election?
- 00:18:08Who was I for?
- 00:18:09Yeah. Or if you voted.
- 00:18:10Oh, I'm Trump at that time because he
- 00:18:12came to the Libertarian Caucus and
- 00:18:14promised some things he was going to do.
- 00:18:15Bitcoin
- 00:18:16which he did.
- 00:18:17And they murdered John McAfee down in
- 00:18:19Spain on me. Suicide.
- 00:18:22Now, here we are. How many months in,
- 00:18:24and we ain't got no Epstein names? P.
- 00:18:26Diddy's going to walk free.
- 00:18:29They all had the McAfee files. How long
- 00:18:31ago? They know who the criminals are.
- 00:18:35Yet, no one's being held accountable
- 00:18:37because no one's above the law. Then, of
- 00:18:39course, if you're a politician or in
- 00:18:41government, if you're a regular old
- 00:18:43citizen and you get caught with a bag of
- 00:18:44weed or a bag of coke or a gun, guess
- 00:18:47where you're going? But all day long
- 00:18:49they're doing drugs, they got guns,
- 00:18:51they're murdering people, they're
- 00:18:52stealing from people. When are we going
- 00:18:54to stand up for ourselves? Our
- 00:18:56forefathers went to civil war over a 6%
- 00:18:58sales tax and them trying to take our
- 00:19:00guns. Well, they done took our guns. And
- 00:19:02what sales what tax are we at now? What?
- 00:19:0465% overall.
- 00:19:06How do you guys feel about labor camps?
- 00:19:07Do you think Do you think it's possible
- 00:19:09to do them, but like woke? I'm just I'm
- 00:19:11just putting out feelers here. Don't boo
- 00:19:12me. me like tilting the dial on the um
- 00:19:17authoritarianism arc and looking back at
- 00:19:19the audience to see if I'm getting
- 00:19:20cheered or booed. I'm just saying, you
- 00:19:22know how RFK Jr. wants to send people
- 00:19:25with ADHD out to like grass fields so
- 00:19:28they can roam and graze peacefully
- 00:19:29without their phone screens or
- 00:19:31something. I just wonder I don't know.
- 00:19:33Is it more than half your income goes to
- 00:19:36this criminal government so they can
- 00:19:37house uh gang members in Manhattan and
- 00:19:40uh high-end luxury rooms while you
- 00:19:41starve? because Democrats care about
- 00:19:44you.
- 00:19:46So if the election came down to Adams
- 00:19:49versus Mum Donnie, which it's kind of
- 00:19:51looking like it will, you need to run.
- 00:19:53Communism is illegal. The the Communism
- 00:19:56Control Act of 1954 already eliminates
- 00:19:59him from that. Number two, our
- 00:20:01Constitution guarantees us a republican
- 00:20:03form of government. And um the thing is,
- 00:20:06if we just start enforcing a law, which
- 00:20:08libertarian by the way. Yeah. Oh, sorry.
- 00:20:10Our government says an ideology is
- 00:20:12illegal because of a law 70 years ago.
- 00:20:14So, actually, no. Listen, okay, all the
- 00:20:16laws about drug ownership, those are
- 00:20:18[ __ ] The laws about gun ownership,
- 00:20:19those are [ __ ] The law from the Red
- 00:20:21Scare, from the McCarthy era, saying
- 00:20:23that you can't be a communist in office.
- 00:20:25That one's good, though.
- 00:20:26Which is the Constitution, we would be
- 00:20:28in a lot better shape. There wouldn't be
- 00:20:30censorship. There wouldn't be gun laws.
- 00:20:32And there sure wouldn't be no goddamn
- 00:20:34communist.
- 00:20:35Now, don't get communism confused with
- 00:20:38social programs. I'm a libertarian. And
- 00:20:39a lot of libertarians don't like social
- 00:20:40programs
- 00:20:41cuz you benefit from the social
- 00:20:42programs, right? You're you're against
- 00:20:45literally any state intervention, but
- 00:20:47you personally probably benefit from a
- 00:20:48bunch of social programs cuz there's no
- 00:20:51way you hold your own income down.
- 00:20:54All same. I'm okay with them. If we're
- 00:20:56the greatest country in the world, we
- 00:20:58don't need homeless and starving. So,
- 00:21:01I'm okay with safety nets. Um, you know,
- 00:21:04it makes me very leftw. I don't care if
- 00:21:06you're gay. I don't care if you're
- 00:21:07black. I don't care. Just don't touch
- 00:21:09kids. God
- 00:21:10Hey, listen. Okay, I'm not a homophobe.
- 00:21:12I don't care if you're gay. Just don't
- 00:21:14kids gays. Just don't Hey, listen gays.
- 00:21:17I'm okay with you as long as you don't
- 00:21:18kids. There's no implicit bias being
- 00:21:22suggested by my my juxosition here. Be
- 00:21:25like if he said, you know, I don't have
- 00:21:26a problem with blacks. Don't just steal
- 00:21:28people's bicycles. You know, like, okay.
- 00:21:30I don't think anyone thought that was
- 00:21:32okay.
- 00:21:32Damn. How hard is it? And leave the kids
- 00:21:35alone. It's their parents' job to talk
- 00:21:36to them about sex. Libertarian, by the
- 00:21:39way.
- 00:21:40You know what I'm saying? Have you ever
- 00:21:41talked to my kid about sex and I catch
- 00:21:43you? What do you think's going to happen
- 00:21:44to you? I'm going to be smiling on my
- 00:21:46murder mug shot just like any older.
- 00:21:49A libertarian, by the way,
- 00:21:51father. You know what I'm saying? It's
- 00:21:53real easy. Don't hurt nobody. Don't
- 00:21:55steal from nobody. Just live your life.
- 00:21:57If we get rid of these victim's crimes
- 00:21:59and these criminal politicians that
- 00:22:00aren't doing anything but living off the
- 00:22:02hardworking backs of men and women,
- 00:22:03maybe we can make a real libertarian
- 00:22:05paradise. Look at
- 00:22:06this guy. This guy really is like a
- 00:22:08phenomenal um case study of
- 00:22:11libertarianism where like the only
- 00:22:13issues on which they personally are
- 00:22:15libertarian are drugs and guns cuz they
- 00:22:17own them and they're okay with social
- 00:22:19programs they benefit from, but on every
- 00:22:21other issue they are as Hitlerite as it
- 00:22:23is possible to be. I don't care about
- 00:22:25gay people, but if like my children are
- 00:22:27taught sexed in class, like every other
- 00:22:30student in every developed country, I'll
- 00:22:32murder you. Okay, fascinating. That
- 00:22:34sounds very libertarian of you. That's
- 00:22:36great. You want to use the state to keep
- 00:22:38people who disagree with you politically
- 00:22:40from running. That's very libertarian of
- 00:22:41you, sir. Very reasonable. Very good.
- 00:22:43Very good.
- 00:22:44El Salvador right now with Bitcoin.
- 00:22:48Um I'm curious. So, how do what do you
- 00:22:49think about this is just about Trump
- 00:22:51like Trump's term so far in terms of
- 00:22:53like supporting libertarian causes? Um
- 00:22:56would you say you're
- 00:22:57like 80% with me right now? Um really
- 00:22:59pissed me off with the bombs dropping in
- 00:23:01Iran. Um, also I want peace over there
- 00:23:05in the Middle East with Israel and Gaza.
- 00:23:07I do not like Netanyahu at all. I think
- 00:23:10he's committing genocide.
- 00:23:11Uhhuh.
- 00:23:12Um, I don't like war. I'm libertarian.
- 00:23:15There's better way to handle things.
- 00:23:17Um, but overall that and I'm not so sure
- 00:23:20I like what he did with the social
- 00:23:22programs recently, but uh, we'll see.
- 00:23:24Incredible. Incredible dude. Guy's like,
- 00:23:27"Well, I think I should get Medicaid."
- 00:23:30See, we'll see. Um, do we have to get
- 00:23:32the illegals out of here? Unfortunately,
- 00:23:34yes.
- 00:23:35Libertarian, by the way.
- 00:23:37Unfortunately, are some of these people
- 00:23:39are they're victims of what the
- 00:23:40Democrats cuz the Democrats told them,
- 00:23:42"How salvageable do you think people
- 00:23:43like this are?" Oh, completely
- 00:23:44unsalvageable. This is this and a lot of
- 00:23:47lefties fall for it because they're
- 00:23:49like, "Oh, see this guy has some issues
- 00:23:50in common." No, he doesn't. This guy's
- 00:23:52animating issues are homophobia, racism,
- 00:23:55and personal convenience. Everything
- 00:23:56else is a legitimizing mechanism. I
- 00:23:58promise you, you would you would
- 00:23:59genuinely have more luck convincing a
- 00:24:01hyperoreia believing 4chan neo-Nazi um
- 00:24:05to be a communist than this guy. Okay? I
- 00:24:07guarantee you. And that's not a joke.
- 00:24:09You you got to understand like there's a
- 00:24:10difference between what people say they
- 00:24:12believe and what their animating issues
- 00:24:14are. And um yeah, it's it's not pretty.
- 00:24:17It's really not. This guy's also lying.
- 00:24:18I don't think he's lying. I just think
- 00:24:19he's kind of crazy. I mean, he's
- 00:24:21obviously not mentally all there, right?
- 00:24:23Is being actually libertarian even
- 00:24:25possible? Sure. They're called
- 00:24:26libertarian socialists. It was the
- 00:24:28original definition of libertarianism
- 00:24:30before it got deliberately hijacked by
- 00:24:32American capitalist libertarians who
- 00:24:34wanted to co-opt the idea of economic
- 00:24:36freedom to mean like what if business
- 00:24:38owners had no regulations and OSHA
- 00:24:41couldn't tell them to not provide fire
- 00:24:43escapes in their factories. It's it's
- 00:24:45it's it's uh it was a very very
- 00:24:48deliberate co-opting of the term
- 00:24:50to come here. The Democrats told them to
- 00:24:52flood the border, right, which made them
- 00:24:55illegally get into the country.
- 00:24:56Uhhuh. I mean, they're v a lot of them
- 00:24:58are victims of what the Democrats did to
- 00:25:01them. But on the other end, remember, a
- 00:25:03lot of countries emptied their prisons
- 00:25:04and psych wards, and where do you think
- 00:25:06they sent their inmates?
- 00:25:09Interesting how this guy um claims that
- 00:25:11the Democrats and Republicans are a uni
- 00:25:13party, but he's repeating verbatim
- 00:25:15multiple Republican talking points that
- 00:25:17pretty much entirely came from Trump.
- 00:25:19Like, that one's straight Trump. That's
- 00:25:21not even like a broader right-wing
- 00:25:23talking point. That's just him listening
- 00:25:25to Trump. Um, I'm curious. So, in terms
- 00:25:27of like free speech, uh, you know,
- 00:25:30something that the mayor, uh, like Eric
- 00:25:32Adams just adopted the IH definition of
- 00:25:35anti-semitism, which basically
- 00:25:36it's a violation of the first amendment.
- 00:25:38You do? Okay.
- 00:25:39Yeah. What? You can't criticize Jewish
- 00:25:41people. You
- 00:25:43can criticize anybody. All right. And in
- 00:25:45America, it's your patriotic duty to
- 00:25:47question your government. They work for
- 00:25:49us. That's why the media is supposed to
- 00:25:51report to us so we can tell our
- 00:25:52representatives what we want our
- 00:25:53government to do. We are the only
- 00:25:55country in the world like that. There's
- 00:25:57several other countries in the world
- 00:25:58with communism. There's several other
- 00:25:59countries with other things. Oh, Norway
- 00:26:01and this. Oh, then take your ass there.
- 00:26:03This is America. This is an outlaw
- 00:26:05country. It's the only country in the
- 00:26:07world where freedom stands last because
- 00:26:09it's an outlaw country. But um we have
- 00:26:11to get all the illegals out to it's just
- 00:26:13completely incoherent. There's not
- 00:26:14really a point in responding to it. It's
- 00:26:15incred incredible content for an
- 00:26:18interview channel though, right?
- 00:26:19A bunch of outlaws from other countries
- 00:26:21was like Scotland, Ireland. I don't care
- 00:26:23where you came from. We came here and we
- 00:26:24all said, "No, you ain't controlling us.
- 00:26:26We got guns and we like our weed."
- 00:26:28I feel bad. You really shouldn't cuz
- 00:26:30like And I'm sorry. I I I'm just really
- 00:26:32anti- noble savage myth right now.
- 00:26:34People like this are generally huge
- 00:26:36pieces of [ __ ] Like people like this
- 00:26:38run reigns of terror on everyone in
- 00:26:40their lives. Um he he said he would kill
- 00:26:43people who like gave sex education to
- 00:26:45his kids. Like his teacher would give
- 00:26:46sex education. Okay, you shouldn't feel
- 00:26:48bad for these people at all. You know,
- 00:26:50the RFK earnest grass-fed, no phones
- 00:26:53allowed, everyone eat your acre of
- 00:26:56grassland plat would probably be better
- 00:26:59for him mentally in the long run. But
- 00:27:01no, yeah, it's these these people are
- 00:27:02just generally not good. No,
- 00:27:05we like our alcohol and we like to be
- 00:27:07wild and this is the wild wild west. So
- 00:27:09if you don't like the wild wild west,
- 00:27:11get out. We're not changing it into one
- 00:27:13of your third world country socialism
- 00:27:15countries. We're not doing it. It
- 00:27:16doesn't work. I don't care how many
- 00:27:18times you college kids go, "Well, we
- 00:27:19never tried real communism." Well, it's
- 00:27:20not communism, democratic socialism.
- 00:27:22Well, Marxism, it doesn't matter how
- 00:27:24many times you change the name and try
- 00:27:26to paint up this piece of if it's a
- 00:27:29right. But you call it a brownie and you
- 00:27:30eat it still tastes like
- 00:27:32ragel.
- 00:27:33It's all you understand? It's all
- 00:27:36control. Communism is an authoritarian
- 00:27:38belief system and the only people who do
- 00:27:40good are people at the top.
- 00:27:41Bro, a 4chan neonazi. You He's not even
- 00:27:43remotely 4chan. I don't know why people
- 00:27:44are saying that. This guy is not even
- 00:27:46slightly 4chan coded. Not even like
- 00:27:48remotely.
- 00:27:50This guy's Twitter coded if anything.
- 00:27:51Also 4chan doesn't mean [ __ ] anymore.
- 00:27:54For 4chan is Nazis, dog. Every site is
- 00:27:56Nazis now. The whole country is Nazis.
- 00:27:58You know what is it? Like for 4chan is
- 00:28:00just like the loser ineffectual subset
- 00:28:02of the Nazis, you know? Like all the
- 00:28:04real Nazis are over there on Twitter
- 00:28:06trying to epically red pill the normies
- 00:28:09with their JQ posting. Okay. Why do you
- 00:28:11only see fat commies at the top and the
- 00:28:13rest of the world's skinny and starving
- 00:28:15and breadlines? Yeah, all these poor
- 00:28:17people that run around. Communism would
- 00:28:18be great for us. Look at the BLM
- 00:28:20movement. They had a communist fist on
- 00:28:22the damn flag and they killed more black
- 00:28:25people than anybody.
- 00:28:27Is the It's true. The BLM movement was
- 00:28:30posting pullp pot numbers. They were the
- 00:28:32the they were doing forced marches of
- 00:28:34black people through American uh you
- 00:28:37know urban communities. Corpses bloating
- 00:28:39on the side of the road. BLM uh
- 00:28:42inquisitors with guns. Keep marching.
- 00:28:45Sorry. They'd be blacks. They'd say like
- 00:28:46keep marching nword. See cuz they could
- 00:28:49say it. I can't say it though. They did
- 00:28:50say that to me though cuz I was at the
- 00:28:52marches.
- 00:28:52That movement was horrible for black
- 00:28:54people. I was like what is wrong with
- 00:28:56you people? It's like no one read B.
- 00:28:59People went to college and lost their
- 00:29:02basic high school history
- 00:29:04because we're not a democracy and you
- 00:29:06know democracy democracy democracy. Our
- 00:29:08forefathers didn't want anything to do
- 00:29:10with democracy.
- 00:29:11I don't know if you know anything about
- 00:29:12that but you should probably read the
- 00:29:14constitution. All right.
- 00:29:16Our forefathers guaranteed us that
- 00:29:18second amendment. Why? Why did they
- 00:29:20guarantee us that we can have any weapon
- 00:29:21we want? What did they just do? They
- 00:29:25just threw out the biggest government,
- 00:29:26the most powerful military in the world
- 00:29:28out of here.
- 00:29:29But now now now
- 00:29:32we have to go. This guy is a channel
- 00:29:34interview. So am I allowed to have this
- 00:29:36military grade firepower? What would you
- 00:29:37My dad is exactly like this. He's
- 00:29:39exactly like you say. He pointed a
- 00:29:40shotgun at me for challenging him one
- 00:29:42time. Yeah. These people are like
- 00:29:44violent, abrasive, socially incompetent,
- 00:29:47entitled, crazy, and habitual drug
- 00:29:50users. So they often steal to make the
- 00:29:52like Yeah, these people are like the
- 00:29:54dredges of society for sure. I don't I I
- 00:29:56don't know. I don't know. I'm I'm on I'm
- 00:29:57on like a really big anti- noble seven
- 00:29:59because there's been this discourse on
- 00:30:01social media about like well the
- 00:30:04Appalachian coal miners are are actually
- 00:30:06like the natural ally of the socialists.
- 00:30:08No, they're not. They vote against
- 00:30:10literally everything we care about in
- 00:30:11huge droves. Experiencing the negative
- 00:30:14consequences of capitalism doesn't and
- 00:30:16never has like made people anti-
- 00:30:18capitalist. That's completely made up.
- 00:30:20like the the the what was it something
- 00:30:22Chad said the peasantry in and during
- 00:30:23the French Revolution the
- 00:30:24revolutionaries were the upper middle
- 00:30:26class in the cities the peasantry were
- 00:30:28pro- monarchy like you you you have to
- 00:30:30deal with and Markx wrote about this
- 00:30:32Markx this is the whole lump and pearl
- 00:30:34thing and this is why Markx said you
- 00:30:35needed a proletariat base for revolution
- 00:30:37rather than a peasant base for
- 00:30:38revolution because you like the Markx
- 00:30:41was fully aware of the fact that the
- 00:30:42average country bumpkin was was not like
- 00:30:45a natural ally of this modern
- 00:30:47postenlightenment social movement that
- 00:30:50usually usually requires at least a
- 00:30:51little bit of reading to understand. Of
- 00:30:52course, this guy's obviously not a
- 00:30:54peasant in like a in a traditional
- 00:30:56sense. He might have the brain of one. I
- 00:30:58think I just think we need to be a
- 00:30:59little bit more contemptuous, man. These
- 00:31:00people are so awful to be around.
- 00:31:03They're so like they drain the life of
- 00:31:05everyone around them and sometimes take
- 00:31:07the lives of people around them. It's
- 00:31:09crazy.
- 00:31:09Tell me, duh.
- 00:31:12Wendy, are you from this area?
- 00:31:13Oh, no. I live on Dire Avenue.
- 00:31:15Okay. But you're from the Bronx and all.
- 00:31:16Yes. Um, so what are the top issues for
- 00:31:19you as a New Yorker?
- 00:31:20I work from MTA and the top issues for
- 00:31:22me is like the train system. All that's
- 00:31:24happening in the trains to to the
- 00:31:26workers and stuff, the dangerous thing.
- 00:31:28We don't have enough police on in sight,
- 00:31:31so you know, they could take care of us.
- 00:31:33I mean, it's a lot of bad things
- 00:31:34happening here. So,
- 00:31:35you said you work for the MTA actually.
- 00:31:37Um, have you been following the mayor's
- 00:31:39election at all or
- 00:31:40a little bit? A little bit.
- 00:31:41What do you think about the different
- 00:31:42candidates?
- 00:31:44I mean, hopefully they'll do something
- 00:31:46for us. I mean, I see a couple of them
- 00:31:48that are fine and stuff like that, but
- 00:31:50it's like I say, you know, basically for
- 00:31:52me is everything around the areas and
- 00:31:54stuff was happening to us.
- 00:31:56So, which
- 00:31:56that dude is a reminder of how steep the
- 00:31:58uphill battle is. I guess I guess my
- 00:32:00thought is that if we lived in a
- 00:32:03functioning pro-social society, people
- 00:32:05like that wouldn't be allowed to exist
- 00:32:06in that form. They would be socially
- 00:32:09pressured into being different kinds of
- 00:32:11people. like you the because the reason
- 00:32:13stuff like that kind of stuff can exist
- 00:32:16in like really far-flung rural
- 00:32:17environments where nobody's like got an
- 00:32:19eye on you in like the wild west kind of
- 00:32:21stuff that he clearly idealizes and
- 00:32:23people like that can exist in modern
- 00:32:24societies where everyone's kind of
- 00:32:25atomized and alienated but in an
- 00:32:27environment where there's a lot of
- 00:32:28social interconnectivity I feel like
- 00:32:30people like that would just be like
- 00:32:32ostracized to the point of basic like
- 00:32:34social non-functioning you know cuz
- 00:32:36people like that people aren't born like
- 00:32:39that right like it's It's not like he
- 00:32:42was just he was just genetically
- 00:32:44predetermined to be like that. It's
- 00:32:45probably years and years of abuse from
- 00:32:48parental figures. Uh drug abuse later in
- 00:32:51life, like stuff like that, you know,
- 00:32:52like there were a bunch of things like
- 00:32:53like physiological and social that
- 00:32:56contributed to him being like that. And
- 00:32:58I guess like I feel like in a good world
- 00:33:00there wouldn't be many people like that.
- 00:33:02But we we kind of have to address it as
- 00:33:04it is. I just feel like sometimes people
- 00:33:05on the left are so they're so hesitant
- 00:33:08to label a kind of person as a bad kind
- 00:33:11of person to be, you know, because they
- 00:33:13think that that's reactionary. But I
- 00:33:15just disagree. The reactionary does it
- 00:33:17based on like your race or gender or
- 00:33:18some [ __ ] like that. It's stupid,
- 00:33:20right? But like on on basic like moral
- 00:33:23character, you know, I I feel like
- 00:33:25that's fine. I don't know. Especially
- 00:33:27because and this is a consistent issue,
- 00:33:29right? A lot of lefties, especially
- 00:33:31online, are upper middle class urbanite
- 00:33:33intellectuals with a college degree. So,
- 00:33:35they don't actually interact with people
- 00:33:37like that that often. So, in their head,
- 00:33:38they think, "Oh, underlying this guy's
- 00:33:41craziness, there's like an earnest
- 00:33:42desire for socialist liberation." When
- 00:33:44in reality, like, no, they want to do
- 00:33:45drugs and beat people. There are lots of
- 00:33:47people like that. Like, lots and lots of
- 00:33:49people like that. Probably less per
- 00:33:51capita in New York City than in many
- 00:33:52other places, but there are still lots
- 00:33:54of people like that. And I just I we
- 00:33:56have to accept like it's materialism.
- 00:33:57You have to accept reality as it is. Not
- 00:33:59you can't impose your ideological
- 00:34:01preconception of what the noble
- 00:34:03proletariat should be like onto the
- 00:34:05proletariat. You have to just
- 00:34:06acknowledge the fact
- 00:34:08candidates specifically, if any, are you
- 00:34:10like leaning toward?
- 00:34:11No, not really.
- 00:34:12No. Okay. Is there anything else you
- 00:34:14want to add?
- 00:34:15No, that's about it. That's like I said,
- 00:34:17it's just the train system is really
- 00:34:18bad. Hopefully, whoever they choose do
- 00:34:21something about these trains.
- 00:34:22Thank you so much. I was curious, are
- 00:34:24there any candidates who you supported
- 00:34:27in the primary or you're thinking of
- 00:34:28supporting in the general?
- 00:34:30Uh
- 00:34:31for this election, we want the mayor who
- 00:34:34can make the city affordable for
- 00:34:36everybody.
- 00:34:37Affordable.
- 00:34:38Yes. And uh we make our first choice on
- 00:34:41uh Mandani.
- 00:34:42Oh yeah.
- 00:34:43And then we going to be with Mandani
- 00:34:45Cuomo and then uh uh
- 00:34:51Adams. So between the three that you
- 00:34:54mentioned, is there anyone that
- 00:34:55No, that's fine. He's ranking Manny
- 00:34:56first. That's that's fine. That's all
- 00:34:58that matters.
- 00:34:58You, you know, support more than the
- 00:35:00others.
- 00:35:01Yeah, we support Manny.
- 00:35:02Mani? Yes.
- 00:35:03And why is that?
- 00:35:04Yes. Uh because uh he can break uh any
- 00:35:08change to the city. Cuomo did before. So
- 00:35:11we give it the chance to another one. So
- 00:35:14it's better for the city.
- 00:35:16And did you vote in the presidential
- 00:35:18election in 2020?
- 00:35:19More. I vote more than 20 years now. So
- 00:35:22I I keep voting.
- 00:35:23You keep voting.
- 00:35:24Yes.
- 00:35:24Um if you don't mind sharing, who did
- 00:35:25you vote for in the presidential
- 00:35:27election?
- 00:35:28For president election is in my heart. I
- 00:35:30I'll say to anybody, but okay.
- 00:35:31I want a candidate who can make the city
- 00:35:34and the country better to live for
- 00:35:37everybody.
- 00:35:37You're ranking Mani first, not Lander
- 00:35:38second. Lander's not running the
- 00:35:40general. He's talking about people in
- 00:35:41the general. He's saying he wants Mamani
- 00:35:43then Cuomo than Adams. But Mani being
- 00:35:45first is all that matters. It's the He's
- 00:35:46talking about the general ranking.
- 00:35:49No racial, no nothing.
- 00:35:51What do you think about Eric Adams and
- 00:35:52how he's uh done for the city?
- 00:35:54Uh Adams is good. May Adam is still
- 00:35:58good, but uh
- 00:35:59Adams is better than Cuomo would be. I
- 00:36:01do believe that.
- 00:36:02On the day we're going to see who we
- 00:36:04going to vote for.
- 00:36:07Thank you so much. I really appreciate
- 00:36:09it.
- 00:36:09Thank you. I appreciate too.
- 00:36:10Yeah. Have a good day.
- 00:36:12He seems nice. I like his smile. He has
- 00:36:14a really nice smile. That guy. Not this
- 00:36:16one. I haven't seen a smile yet. The the
- 00:36:18previous one.
- 00:36:25Does Vos not talk to people IRL? Why is
- 00:36:27he so surprised about how contra they
- 00:36:28are? I'm not. I'm never surprised by
- 00:36:30that. I expect that. I never expect
- 00:36:32random people to have coherent political
- 00:36:33views. I'm trying to dissuade people in
- 00:36:35my community from being surprised cuz I
- 00:36:37think that's like the big black pill
- 00:36:39that you have to take on politics,
- 00:36:40right? You have to understand that for
- 00:36:42the most part, people are kind of sheep
- 00:36:43you have to pull around a little bit.
- 00:36:45You can do that by convincing them. I
- 00:36:46don't mean lying or or or being mean or
- 00:36:48whatever, but like a lot of people just
- 00:36:50don't like think think of politics the
- 00:36:52same way you would think of any any
- 00:36:55technical issue that you're trying to
- 00:36:56make a prescriptive statement about.
- 00:36:58Okay? Like imagine for example that
- 00:37:01there's some kind of like tech that is
- 00:37:03new and objectively better than a
- 00:37:05previous one and you have to convince
- 00:37:06all your boomer relatives, you know,
- 00:37:08like you kind of have to lead them
- 00:37:09around a little bit like like they're
- 00:37:10they're using like USBA cables or
