- 00:00:18What the heck is happening in this
- 00:00:19video? In this video, we're going to be

- 00:00:31great job at it. We're going to talk
- 00:00:33about some of the things we learned
- 00:00:34along the way. We're also going to be
- 00:00:35talking about what's happening in this
- 00:00:36video. How are these sebaceous filaments
- 00:00:39just melting out of the nose and is that
- 00:00:41the is that the hack to glass skin?
- 00:00:43We're going to find out. And also in
- 00:00:44this video, we'll have some updates on
- 00:00:45some skincare devices you can use at
- 00:00:47home. And uh for a very limited time,
- 00:00:50you'll have like a very very nice
- 00:00:52bundle, basically a buy one get one free
- 00:00:54associated with this. Uh so take
- 00:00:56advantage of that while you can. Yeah.
- 00:00:58So, we have a special offer from our
- 00:01:00friends at Cure later on in the video.
- 00:01:03So, stay in tuned for that. I think a
- 00:01:04lot of you are going to like this. I
- 00:01:06personally have this in my house. So,
- 00:01:07we're super excited to show this to you
- 00:01:09and the special deal that they're
- 00:01:10having. It's part of our cleansing hack.
- 00:01:11So, it fits really well into this video.
- 00:01:13So, all thing cleansing hacks, here we
- 00:01:15go. Here we go.
- 00:01:19[Music]
- 00:01:21In order to avoid rage baiting all of
- 00:01:23you, we're going to start with the first
- 00:01:25thing that we saw when we opened this
- 00:01:26video, which is the first hack, which is
- 00:01:29using a cleansing oil on the skin. Now,
- 00:01:32that's what's happening in that video
- 00:01:33that you saw. So, and there's hundreds
- 00:01:35of videos like this on Tik Tok. They're
- 00:01:37everywhere. They always go viral, but
- 00:01:39it's invariably somebody who's showing a
- 00:01:40lot of clogged pores in their nose. A
- 00:01:42lot of times we call these sebaceous
- 00:01:44filaments. They're filled up, dead skin
- 00:01:46cells that build up into your pores. And
- 00:01:48your pores are filled with sebum and
- 00:01:51other types of oils that build up in
- 00:01:52there. And your traditional cleansers,
- 00:01:54they do a good job at a surface level
- 00:01:56getting into your pores, but they're not
- 00:01:59the best at getting in there because of
- 00:02:01the oils, right? A lot of times water
- 00:02:03repels oil and oil repels water. And so
- 00:02:05your traditional surfactants aren't
- 00:02:07great at getting in there. So the two
- 00:02:09ingredients that are really good at
- 00:02:10getting in there are any type of oil and
- 00:02:12salicylic acid. And so when you use an
- 00:02:15oil-based cleanser, it's able to
- 00:02:17dissolve those sebaceous filaments and
- 00:02:19help to remove them out of your pores,
- 00:02:21right? So like dissolves like it helps
- 00:02:23break up the oil. Now I think
- 00:02:25interestingly I I see two groups of
- 00:02:27people on this. It's either a complete
- 00:02:28scam or it's a miracle. And I think the
- 00:02:31answer is both. Because when you have a
- 00:02:34person who has clogged pores that are
- 00:02:35full of oil, you might actually get some
- 00:02:38of that sebaceous filament debris that
- 00:02:40you're looking for on your finger, you
- 00:02:41have a good experience with this type of
- 00:02:43cleanser. If you are someone who
- 00:02:45actually just has large pores that are
- 00:02:46very empty, and I've seen this, that's
- 00:02:48my experience. U larger pores, but
- 00:02:51really not much oil buildup in them,
- 00:02:52you're not going to have any success
- 00:02:53with this because there's really not
- 00:02:55much to break down. it's actually the
- 00:02:56structure of the pore that you're
- 00:02:57noticing and you will not get that
- 00:02:58sebaceous filament buildup either. So,
- 00:03:01um really those are the two experiences
- 00:03:02I see with it, but for the right person
- 00:03:03it can work very well. Yeah, I
- 00:03:06completely agree with that. And the
- 00:03:08other thing is a lot of these videos
- 00:03:09that you see, people are definitely
- 00:03:11cheating. They're definitely, you know,
- 00:03:13using filters. Uh they're more zoomed in
- 00:03:16on the initial photos than they are on
- 00:03:17the outro. So, don't expect to see
- 00:03:19tremendous results. But the first hack
- 00:03:21that we have here is to use a cleansing
- 00:03:23oil to dissolve some of the sebaceous
- 00:03:25filaments that have built up into your
- 00:03:26pores. And a good option here is the one
- 00:03:29from Anua that they mentioned there. And
- 00:03:31there are plenty of other oil cleansers
- 00:03:32that we can list in the description as
- 00:03:33well.
- 00:03:34Yeah. And my my my favorite for a long
- 00:03:35time has been the one from Numbuzen. I
- 00:03:37can't remember if it's number one or
- 00:03:38number five. We'll show it here for you,
- 00:03:39too. I love that one. So, a lot of good
- 00:03:41options. You don't have to just stick
- 00:03:42with the one in the video. So, next up,
- 00:03:47next up is headbands and wristbands when
- 00:03:50you're cleansing. So, if you're like me,
- 00:03:53you hate making a mess when you cleanse.
- 00:03:55You also don't like getting your hair
- 00:03:57wet. So, I'm somebody who has a lot of
- 00:03:58product in my hair when I go to bed. I
- 00:04:01don't necessarily want that my hair to
- 00:04:02get wet and then drip product into my
- 00:04:04face. Many of you have used hairspray
- 00:04:06throughout the day, different types of
- 00:04:08gels, different types of heat
- 00:04:09protectants. And so, if you get wet and
- 00:04:11it drips onto your face, not a great
- 00:04:13experience. Also, you don't want your
- 00:04:14hair to get wet when you're cleansing
- 00:04:15your face. And so, using something to
- 00:04:18keep your hair up and also keep your
- 00:04:20hair from getting wet is a really good
- 00:04:22hack. I'm not going to put this on. Dr.
- 00:04:24Maxwell has fully embraced his. You
- 00:04:26know, initially when we launched Remedy,
- 00:04:28we had these uh silk headbands. Um, and
- 00:04:31every now and then we order more
- 00:04:32inventory and sometimes we do some gift
- 00:04:35with purchases with them. Sometimes we
- 00:04:36continue to sell them, but sometimes
- 00:04:38they're available. Um, currently they're
- 00:04:40they're not available. Um, so that's
- 00:04:43that's one way that you can do it. The
- 00:04:44other thing here that's also really good
- 00:04:46and something that other people pointed
- 00:04:47out to me online is wristbands also,
- 00:04:49right? Because nothing's worse than when
- 00:04:51you put your face into the sink and
- 00:04:53then, you know, water starts dripping
- 00:04:55down to your forearms and then that that
- 00:04:57water drips onto your floor and then
- 00:04:59your wife is very unhappy with you or
- 00:05:01your husband is very unhappy with you.
- 00:05:03And so basically
- 00:05:06um having wristbands, which this is not
- 00:05:07a wristband, but any type of wristband
- 00:05:09will do. This will capture any water uh
- 00:05:12that's dripping down and really protect
- 00:05:14it from get dripping down to your elbows
- 00:05:16and then dripping onto the floor and
- 00:05:18causing a spill accident. So that's our
- 00:05:20second hack. Headbands and wristbands.
- 00:05:22Yeah. But he believes in these actually
- 00:05:23if you go back to Dr. Shaw's original
- 00:05:25videos like way back way back he was
- 00:05:27wearing these from the beginning. And
- 00:05:30I'll be honest with you, I had no idea
- 00:05:32why. So uh this is something he truly
- 00:05:34believes in. He does it in his daily
- 00:05:36life. And there is actually a benefit to
- 00:05:38using these. I actually, you know, one
- 00:05:40really big benefit I I I like with these
- 00:05:42is uh when you're using ro gain or some
- 00:05:44sort of hair growth solution because you
- 00:05:46really want to keep that on the areas
- 00:05:47you want to grow hair. It will grow hair
- 00:05:49elsewhere. Um and so to keep that in a
- 00:05:51limited area in this case protecting
- 00:05:53your face from your scalp. Um conversely
- 00:05:56for other ingredients, you might be
- 00:05:57wanting to protect your scalp from your
- 00:05:59face. So another great way to use that
- 00:06:01if you're trying to grow hair. That's
- 00:06:02exactly actually how I use Roane. So I
- 00:06:04have my silk headband from Remedy. I put
- 00:06:06it here. I apply my Rogain and I make
- 00:06:09sure that it gets into that frontal area
- 00:06:11where I'm losing my most most of my
- 00:06:12hair. I slide it up and then I do the
- 00:06:16rest of my facial routine. So, um it's
- 00:06:18definitely a good way to keep these two
- 00:06:20areas separated from each other. And in
- 00:06:22fact, I also use the headband when I
- 00:06:24apply sunscreen because I very diligent
- 00:06:26about not getting sunscreen in my
- 00:06:28hairline because of some rare studies
- 00:06:30out of Australia showing frontal
- 00:06:31fibrosis alopecia from sunscreen use.
- 00:06:34And I'm still not saying that it causes
- 00:06:36hair loss. I'll never say that. But
- 00:06:38there is some correlation between these
- 00:06:40two. Correlation doesn't prove
- 00:06:41causation. And so as somebody who's very
- 00:06:44um protective of my hairline, um I'm
- 00:06:46just doing everything I can to avoid any
- 00:06:48issues there. Yep. Sorry. And for sorry
- 00:06:51about the audio about a minute ago, my
- 00:06:52microphone gets tucked in a bend over.
- 00:06:54So um it just is what it is. Next up is
- 00:06:57something that we actually both have in
- 00:06:59our houses. Actually, I also have it
- 00:07:01here in the Thank you.
- 00:07:04Go ahead. Keep going.
- 00:07:06Okay. I also have one here in the
- 00:07:08office. Um, and it's something you do
- 00:07:10every single day. It is your shower. So,
- 00:07:12your shower water, your shower filter,
- 00:07:14and even also the water you use in your
- 00:07:16sink. And why is this important? So,
- 00:07:18this is one of those silent skin care
- 00:07:20steps just like laundry detergent. This
- 00:07:22is something you're doing every single
- 00:07:23day. And I think many of us have had the
- 00:07:25experiences where we're traveling and
- 00:07:27we're like, "What is going on with my
- 00:07:29skin? What is going on with my hair? It
- 00:07:31just falls different, lays different,
- 00:07:32like my skin is broken out, it looks
- 00:07:34rough." And really maybe the only thing
- 00:07:36that changed was the water you're
- 00:07:38experiencing on your skin. Yeah. So, I
- 00:07:40am a big believer in this. So, this is
- 00:07:42one of those things where you experience
- 00:07:43it anecdotally, right? You you you
- 00:07:46encounter it in your life and you're not
- 00:07:48sure if there is science behind it. And
- 00:07:50then and then when you were a kid, it
- 00:07:52was one of those things where, you know,
- 00:07:54you would say it and then everyone would
- 00:07:55agree, yeah, I feel the same way. And
- 00:07:57then we didn't have Google back then, so
- 00:07:58we couldn't verify that it was a thing.
- 00:08:00But now we have Google and we can prove
- 00:08:01that things are true. But this is one of
- 00:08:03those things where I always said, even
- 00:08:04since I was a young boy, that, you know,
- 00:08:07certain water made my skin worse, right?
- 00:08:10It either made my skin drier, um, it
- 00:08:12made me break out, it, you know,
- 00:08:13whatever, whatever it was. I noticed
- 00:08:16that if I was traveling or staying at
- 00:08:18someone else's house or I was staying at
- 00:08:19my grandma's house, um, anything like
- 00:08:22that, that when I used the water that my
- 00:08:24skin quality and my hair quality was
- 00:08:26different because of the quality of the
- 00:08:28water. And I think a lot of you
- 00:08:29experienced this and I've talked about
- 00:08:31this before, so I know a lot of people
- 00:08:33validated me in the comments. A lot of
- 00:08:35you feel this way as well, where you if
- 00:08:37the water where you live is not good for
- 00:08:39your skin. And there are certain areas
- 00:08:40where I lived where the water was
- 00:08:41horrible for my skin. And then I found
- 00:08:43the clinical studies to support it where
- 00:08:45there are studies that show that
- 00:08:47depending on the water hardness where
- 00:08:48you live, it can cause eczema. It can
- 00:08:50increase your risk of eczema. It can
- 00:08:52cause dry skin. It can make your
- 00:08:53surfactants in your cleansers more
- 00:08:56stripping. So they can strip away your
- 00:08:57oils more. Not as much on acne or other
- 00:08:59things, but definitely on dry skin and
- 00:09:01irritation. The water quality makes a
- 00:09:03big difference. And the big culprit here
- 00:09:05is the calcium carbonate in your water
- 00:09:07that's causing that problem. And so
- 00:09:09short of getting full water system
- 00:09:12treatment, you can put water filters on
- 00:09:14your sink. And so there are a couple
- 00:09:16brands that have launched these and also
- 00:09:18you can put a water filter on your
- 00:09:20shower. And so I have these in my house.
- 00:09:22I believe in them strongly. I actually
- 00:09:24had a big problem with the water here in
- 00:09:26Tennessee until you put the water filter
- 00:09:28on the shower. And I notice it more in
- 00:09:31my hair than I notice it anywhere else.
- 00:09:32So my hair becomes like unmanageable,
- 00:09:35unstylable if the water is too hard
- 00:09:37where I am. So big fan of water filters.
- 00:09:40Again, I think I like the way that you
- 00:09:41said it. It's like a silent skincare
- 00:09:43step. Is it necessary? I would say no.
- 00:09:45Like, you know, I would do the basics
- 00:09:47first and then if you're thinking about,
- 00:09:49hey, like my skin is feeling dry or my
- 00:09:50hair is feeling dry, that's when you
- 00:09:52want to elevate it by making sure that
- 00:09:54your water quality is good. And so what
- 00:09:56Cure is doing very excitingly for us,
- 00:09:59which when he told me what the what the
- 00:10:00offer was, I was like there's that
- 00:10:02that's a pretty crazy insane good deal.
- 00:10:04So they're doing buy one shower filter,
- 00:10:09right? So overhead shower filter. This
- 00:10:11is a beautiful object. You know, Cure is
- 00:10:13becoming the Apple of skincare devices.
- 00:10:15I've said it before, but beautiful
- 00:10:17shower filter, right? And if you buy
- 00:10:20that, they're going to give you the
- 00:10:21faucet filter. Is that right?
- 00:10:23Mhm.
- 00:10:23The faucet filter for free. So that's a
- 00:10:26pretty sick deal. So these look super
- 00:10:28cool as you can see here. Now, what's
- 00:10:30really cool about the water filter, and
- 00:10:32they were the first to pioneer this
- 00:10:33because I remember when they showed this
- 00:10:34to me, I thought it was super cool and
- 00:10:36we helped advise them. So, huge fans of
- 00:10:39the brand, huge fan of the founders.
- 00:10:41We've had them on our podcast and
- 00:10:43they're overall just great people. And
- 00:10:44so, you attach this into your sh your
- 00:10:47fil your your sink. And then, um, you
- 00:10:51have the filter component to it, um,
- 00:10:53which you need to replace at a certain
- 00:10:55cadence, right? So you have this the
- 00:10:57filter component to it, but what's
- 00:10:59really cool about this is that you can
- 00:11:01actually turn the direction that the
- 00:11:03filter water comes out. So you can have
- 00:11:05it facing down, which is like the
- 00:11:06traditional way to have it. You can have
- 00:11:08it facing up towards you and then you
- 00:11:11could use it almost as like a splash
- 00:11:13sink, which is really cool. You could
- 00:11:14use it to drink water out of it, which
- 00:11:16is also really good. So you're getting a
- 00:11:18water filter facial cleanser and the key
- 00:11:21thing here is importantly for
- 00:11:23performance the removal of that calcium
- 00:11:25carbonate carbonate and by removing the
- 00:11:27calcium carbonate your skin quality will
- 00:11:29be better right yeah and actually this
- 00:11:31is a I feel like this was made for me
- 00:11:33because back with the first iteration of
- 00:11:34these like they were fine but my main
- 00:11:36knock on it and I told the brand
- 00:11:37founders I was like I I he doesn't do
- 00:11:39this apparently but when I'm brushing my
- 00:11:41teeth I get my face like under the sink
- 00:11:44to slurp water and then rinse and spit.
- 00:11:46I used to do that when I was like a
- 00:11:48baby. I feel like like I'm an adult now,
- 00:11:50so I use my hand to bring the I need to
- 00:11:53know in the comments. Are you a hand in
- 00:11:56in sip or are you a face under the sink,
- 00:12:01but I couldn't get my face under the old
- 00:12:03filter in my shallow sink. So, like now
- 00:12:05it's not an issue anymore. Super easy to
- 00:12:06install, easier than the old one. And
- 00:12:08the shower head filter, I mean, this was
- 00:12:10so easy to install, too. Like, I'm not a
- 00:12:12handy person and I knocked this out in
- 00:12:14just a couple of minutes. So, super easy
- 00:12:15to install. If that's a barrier to
- 00:12:16entry, don't let it be. Um, if I can do
- 00:12:18it, trust me, you can do it, too. So,
- 00:12:22pretty amazing deal and it's a good way
- 00:12:23to upgrade your skincare routine. I
- 00:12:25think the deal is limited to just this
- 00:12:28month only. So, we'll put a link below,
- 00:12:30you'll be able to shop the deal. You buy
- 00:12:32the the shower filter, you get the sink
- 00:12:34filter for free, and these are super
- 00:12:36high quality, well-made devices for you.
- 00:12:39And so I highly recommend that
- 00:12:40especially if you're somebody who
- 00:12:42notices that the water in your area has
- 00:12:43affected you to check out a water filter
- 00:12:46from Cure or otherwise.
- 00:12:47Yeah.
- 00:12:48Next up for cleansing hacks using a
- 00:12:51dandruff shampoo on the face. And I
- 00:12:54probably try to do this at least once a
- 00:12:56week at this point. And I actually
- 00:12:59noticed this and I have a lot of
- 00:13:00patients that tell me this and I have a
- 00:13:02lot of friends that tell me this as
- 00:13:03well. They always come to me and this is
- 00:13:04invariably the story and I don't know
- 00:13:05how many times you've heard this from
- 00:13:06patients where they say to me, you know,
- 00:13:08doc, I I always have flaking in my
- 00:13:12eyebrows and no matter how much I
- 00:13:14moisturize, the flaking comes back. I've
- 00:13:16used every moisturizer. Doc, I always
- 00:13:18have flaking in my beard and no matter
- 00:13:20how many beard oils I use, I still have
- 00:13:23flaking. And I get this comment question
- 00:13:25all the time. And the reason why is
- 00:13:27because it's not dry skin. It's actually
- 00:13:29seereetic dermatitis. Seabric dermatitis
- 00:13:31is caused by a yeast. And that yeast
- 00:13:33causes inflammation. And that
- 00:13:34inflammation causes scaling and flaking.
- 00:13:36And it's the same yeast that causes
- 00:13:38dandruff. And sebriic dermatitis and
- 00:13:39dandruff are synonymous. One's on the
- 00:13:41scalp and one can be anywhere. And so
- 00:13:43that flaking and scaling that you
- 00:13:45experience that just does not get better
- 00:13:46with moisturizer. A lot of time is that
- 00:13:48yeast on the skin. And unless you treat
- 00:13:49it, that dry skin will never get away go
- 00:13:52away. And since all of us come in
- 00:13:53contact with this yeast every day,
- 00:13:55treating it, especially if you're
- 00:13:56somebody who's prone to reacting to that
- 00:13:58yeast and getting that flaking
- 00:13:59inflammation or getting tiny versus
- 00:14:01color or getting dandruff, using it once
- 00:14:03a week to keep it at bay, either on your
- 00:14:04scalp or on your face, is going to make
- 00:14:06a big difference. And right, that's like
- 00:14:08the perfect way to treat it, but also
- 00:14:10maintain it. Similarly, similarly, I do
- 00:14:13this probably at about the same cadence.
- 00:14:14I'll just use like remedy for dandruff
- 00:14:16um in my hair. Find my ears to get this
- 00:14:19in your ears, your beard, and it really
- 00:14:21does a great job of keeping it at bay.
- 00:14:22Now, which one should you use? You can
- 00:14:24use remedy for dandruff. You can use
- 00:14:26your head and shoulders. You use
- 00:14:28niserol. You can use whatever. It
- 00:14:30doesn't much matter. You probably want
- 00:14:31to rotate it just like you rotate your
- 00:14:33dander shampoo. Um but just like
- 00:14:35anything else in the shower, lather it
- 00:14:36up, let it sit for a few minutes before
- 00:14:38you rinse it off, and that's the whole
- 00:14:39thing.
- 00:14:40Yeah. And this is not going to be
- 00:14:41something for everybody, but it's a
- 00:14:42really good hack if you're somebody that
- 00:14:44has any experiences like what I just
- 00:14:45described. And with Remedy for Dandruff,
- 00:14:47we formulated it to be like a scalp
- 00:14:49health product. So, it's not formulated,
- 00:14:52it's like shampoo, but it's not
- 00:14:53formulated like a traditional shampoo.
- 00:14:55So, no fragrances, no irritating
- 00:14:58surfactants, no common preservative
- 00:15:00allergens. And so, it is really kind of
- 00:15:02scalp and skin friendly in that way. So,
- 00:15:04if you're looking for something that has
- 00:15:06these ingredients, but isn't going to be
- 00:15:08just made for this hair, which some of
- 00:15:10those products are really not great for
- 00:15:12the skin, that is definitely a product
- 00:15:14there. And I can't promise that this
- 00:15:16product will be around forever. Uh
- 00:15:18despite the fact that we keep selling
- 00:15:19out, um there's some nuances there, and
- 00:15:22maybe one day we can talk about it.
- 00:15:24Today might not be the day, but if
- 00:15:25you're somebody who's loved this
- 00:15:26product, somebody who's already tried
- 00:15:28this product, or somebody who's been
- 00:15:29interested in this product, it might be
- 00:15:30a good opportunity to grab it while we
- 00:15:33still have it. Yeah, this is like I
- 00:15:34remember that awkward turtle moment.
- 00:15:36This is like kind of that moment like um
- 00:15:40anyway, that'll be fun to dive into in
- 00:15:42the future. But yes, washing your face
- 00:15:44with a dandro shampoo can be helpful for
- 00:15:46the right person. Next hack is using
- 00:15:48clean towels every single time that you
- 00:15:52wash your face. And I'm a big proponent
- 00:15:55of this. Now, for a long time, I said,
- 00:15:57you know, weekly change out your towels.
- 00:15:58And I still believe that you'll probably
- 00:16:00do okay with that. There's also some
- 00:16:01studies that show that that towels are
- 00:16:04like dirtier than your sink if you after
- 00:16:06a week or so. And maybe I can pull up
- 00:16:08some papers on that at some point. But
- 00:16:10towels are essentially filthy. They're
- 00:16:12contaminated with bacteria just like
- 00:16:14your makeup brush is. And especially if
- 00:16:17let's say that you're in your guest
- 00:16:19bathroom and your guest bathroom,
- 00:16:20everyone's using the same towel to dry
- 00:16:22their hands and there's all kinds of
- 00:16:24bacteria on it and who else who knows
- 00:16:26what else they're drying with it and
- 00:16:28then you're using it on your face. So
- 00:16:29that's not great for the skin. And so
- 00:16:31ultimately changing your towels
- 00:16:32frequently makes a big difference. And
- 00:16:34so if you're somebody, you know, you
- 00:16:36want to have a set of hand towels,
- 00:16:38facial towels that you wash every week
- 00:16:40and you put the stack next to your sink,
- 00:16:42perfectly good on you. If not, there are
- 00:16:44other options. Right? So this is one
- 00:16:46we've talked about fairly consistently
- 00:16:48now. The reason is we've just it's just
- 00:16:50like practically introduced itself into
- 00:16:51our lives and against our
- 00:16:54um not better judgment but against
- 00:16:56I would say that you were always a fan
- 00:16:57of this um and I was the one which you
- 00:17:00know I think with time like you know
- 00:17:02you've adopted some of my things I've
- 00:17:04adopted some of your things but I was a
- 00:17:06little bit of a hater on this when I
- 00:17:08first you told me about this and and
- 00:17:10that's the clean skin. I wouldn't say I
- 00:17:11was a hater, but I was somebody who
- 00:17:13wouldn't maybe recommend it as
- 00:17:15frequently because I didn't see the
- 00:17:16utility of it until lately.
- 00:17:18Yeah. So, clean skin collect towels.
- 00:17:19Now, I wasn't early doctor. Same thing.
- 00:17:21I had like the initial gut reaction. I
- 00:17:22was like, nah, this is unnecessary like
- 00:17:24wasteful. But, you know, I had them,
- 00:17:26used them, and I was like, it's it's
- 00:17:27impossible to go back. So, the reason
- 00:17:29these are like we like these is every
- 00:17:31single use is obviously clean. It's
- 00:17:33fresh. The material can be made of
- 00:17:35different things including bamboo, but
- 00:17:37it's relatively eco-friendly. still
- 00:17:39wasteful, but like relatively
- 00:17:40eco-friendly. And then it just feels
- 00:17:42like fabric. This is not like rough. It
- 00:17:45is the softest thing you'll put on your
- 00:17:47skin. And it's also very clean. So, I
- 00:17:49think for someone who has a little bit
- 00:17:51of an expendable budget or dispensable
- 00:17:53budget,
- 00:17:54Yeah. then or if uh you feel like this
- 00:17:57would fit into your lifestyle, I think
- 00:17:59this will do right by you and you'll be
- 00:18:00very happy with how this plays with your
- 00:18:02skin. Yeah. Absolutely. So, the quality
- 00:18:06is just so good. And once you kind of
- 00:18:08get into this, it's kind of hard. It
- 00:18:11definitely is hard to go back. And so,
- 00:18:13initially, you know, I had them, I used
- 00:18:16them one or two times. I constantly
- 00:18:17found myself gravitating towards them on
- 00:18:19my counter until the box was empty. And
- 00:18:22then I said, "Well, this box doesn't
- 00:18:23look great, and I don't know if we have
- 00:18:24a box anywhere somewhere." Because he
- 00:18:26uses them at the office as well. So, you
- 00:18:28know, when you know patients are getting
- 00:18:30facials or they're getting cosmetic
- 00:18:31procedures and they need to remove their
- 00:18:33makeup or their sunscreen or wash their
- 00:18:34face, he you have like industrialized
- 00:18:37boxes of clean skin club towels now. I
- 00:18:40think you have like hundreds of them at
- 00:18:42the office. And so, he's using them on
- 00:18:44patients cuz if you're a patient, you
- 00:18:45don't want to use a dirty towel on your
- 00:18:47face, right? You want to use a clean
- 00:18:48towel, especially if we're going to do
- 00:18:49like a semi-ablative procedure on your
- 00:18:52face, right? Where you have all these
- 00:18:52holes and open wounds on the face. You
- 00:18:54want to use a clean towel before and
- 00:18:56after. And so he has the clean skin club
- 00:18:58towels at the office and the
- 00:19:00estheticians um in our office use them
- 00:19:02pretty frequently. And um I use them at
- 00:19:05home now. And so I basically found
- 00:19:07myself I went from okay well I don't
- 00:19:08want this like cardboard box on my table
- 00:19:10and then I graduated to like actually
- 00:19:13like building this into my thing. So now
- 00:19:14all my bathrooms have the like official
- 00:19:16boxes. So I have the bamboo box for my
- 00:19:19master bathroom because it's wood and
- 00:19:21it's better with the aesthetic of our
- 00:19:23bathroom. And then in our guest
- 00:19:25bathroom, I have the Onyx one, which is
- 00:19:27like this cement black cube. And so I've
- 00:19:30like really gotten into this clean cloth
- 00:19:32thing. And I do think it makes a
- 00:19:34difference. Um I I don't use them every
- 00:19:36day because I do think that they can get
- 00:19:38expensive over time. But especially like
- 00:19:40if I don't have a towel nearby or I know
- 00:19:41that the towel like near me hasn't been
- 00:19:44cleaned in a few days, um I'll I'll
- 00:19:46gravitate towards these towels in my
- 00:19:48bathroom. And I have my guests use them
- 00:19:50in the guest room because I think if
- 00:19:51you're going to wash your face and you
- 00:19:53don't know whose towel you're using,
- 00:19:54you're somebody who is extremely
- 00:19:56hygienic like I am, you're you're really
- 00:19:58going to like these. And the quality of
- 00:20:00these towels is just so good. And I used
- 00:20:01to say as jokingly to him, like why not
- 00:20:03just use like a paper towel on your just
- 00:20:05using paper towels on your face. But
- 00:20:06these are so much softer. And these are
- 00:20:08like a fabric instead of like a paper.
- 00:20:10So I'm I'm a big fan. Um, and now
- 00:20:12they're available at Target, so you can
- 00:20:14just grab them instead of having to
- 00:20:15order them online, which, you know,
- 00:20:16saves you at least a little bit of the
- 00:20:18waste.
- 00:20:18Yep. So, again, uh, basically, don't use
- 00:20:22your dirty towel. You can use a stack of
- 00:20:25rewashable towels or clean skin towels,
- 00:20:27whatever works, and that'll be helpful
- 00:20:28for your skin. And last hack is actually
- 00:20:31something very simple, but it doesn't
- 00:20:33seem to be intuitive. Just don't rinse
- 00:20:36off your cleanser too fast. It has
- 00:20:38active ingredients. This is especially
- 00:20:40important with ingredients like benzol
- 00:20:42peroxide where they need contact time
- 00:20:44with the skin to work right. So benzyl
- 00:20:47peroxide, salicylic acid, um sulfur
- 00:20:50based cleansers, anything that it really
- 00:20:52kind of is meant there to be like a
- 00:20:54treatment cleanser. Leave it on the skin
- 00:20:55for a little bit. Allow it to kind of
- 00:20:57work. Allow it to settle in. Now a lot
- 00:20:59of these surfactants and cleansers are
- 00:21:00designed to leave ingredients behind.
- 00:21:03When we formulated our hydrating
- 00:21:05cleanser, part of the calculation was
- 00:21:07how do we have a surfactant that removes
- 00:21:09oil, dirt, and debris, but then is
- 00:21:11designed in such a way that it can leave
- 00:21:14your glycerins and camides behind. And
- 00:21:16so, it's not that if you wash it off, it
- 00:21:18like completely goes away. So, cleansers
- 00:21:20can be designed, and this is something I
- 00:21:21learned later on, cleansers can be
- 00:21:22designed to leave ingredients behind,
- 00:21:24but a lot of it gets washed away. A lot
- 00:21:26of it gets washed away. And so,
- 00:21:28especially when you're having a
- 00:21:28treatment cleanser, leave it on for a
- 00:21:30little bit longer, especially benzyl
- 00:21:32peroxide, so that it can have that
- 00:21:34antibacterial effect on the skin for
- 00:21:36your acne. And so, most cleansers, you
- 00:21:38just want to play with them for a little
- 00:21:40bit. You want to get a lather. You want
- 00:21:41the myils to be able to absorb dirt,
- 00:21:43oil, and debris and then wash them off.
- 00:21:46So, just a simple get to the point of a
- 00:21:48lather, good enough. But with an acne
- 00:21:50cleanser, leave it on for a little bit
- 00:21:51to make it work.
- 00:21:52Yep. Perfect. So, these were our
- 00:21:54cleansing tips. Uh, hopefully you found
- 00:21:55them helpful. Make sure if you saw this
- 00:21:58video in time, you jump on the cure
- 00:22:00promotional bundle just to kind of
- 00:22:03revolutionize your bathroom but also
- 00:22:06your skin. So jump on that while you
- 00:22:08can. Otherwise, we will see you next
- 00:22:10time. Final hack I would give for
- 00:22:12cleansing that I we got from the
- 00:22:14comments and I'm just curious if anybody
- 00:22:16else has experienced this hack, but we
- 00:22:18did a video on Vaseline hacks in the
- 00:22:19past and people in the comments
- 00:22:22invariably had mentioned Vaseline can be
- 00:22:24a great makeup remover in a bind. So, I
- 00:22:27haven't tried it. I'm putting this hack
- 00:22:29here to hear from all of you whether or
- 00:22:31not you've tried Vaseline as a makeup
- 00:22:34remover and has worked for you. So,
- 00:22:36bonus hack from the audience. Please
- 00:22:38like, comment, and subscribe. And we'll
- 00:22:40see you in the next video.
