Is it peak Star Wars? I Hey guys. So, as
  • 00:00:03
we get to this review of Andor, I want
  • 00:00:06
to make sure that you're all aware of
  • 00:00:08
the Emperor 2 saber that has been
  • 00:00:10
released and is a limited edition. All
  • 00:00:12
of you guys asked for another Emperor
  • 00:00:14
model to be released, but we felt it
  • 00:00:16
wouldn't be right for the people who
  • 00:00:18
originally got the first 200 for us to
  • 00:00:20
make more. Um, of course, we would love
  • 00:00:22
to, but it just didn't feel right. So,
  • 00:00:24
we made this other version, which I
  • 00:00:27
personally I think looks doper. It's
  • 00:00:29
black and gold and it was his second
  • 00:00:32
version. So, that's on sale right now.
  • 00:00:34
You can go and grab it and pre-order it
  • 00:00:36
right now on the site. Enjoy this video.
  • 00:00:39
A lot to say about it. Andor season 2
  • 00:00:42
    full
  • 00:00:48
review. What's up, guys? How are you
  • 00:00:51
doing this video here? Just chilling a
  • 00:00:53
little bit right before I go to bed. and
  • 00:00:55
I wanted to do my andor review because I
  • 00:00:57
did watch it. Now, originally, I didn't
  • 00:01:00
want to comment on the show. Didn't mean
  • 00:01:02
I wasn't watching it or anything like
  • 00:01:03
that, but as I said in previous videos,
  • 00:01:05
I didn't want to comment on the show,
  • 00:01:07
make money from the show, review the
  • 00:01:08
show online because I felt like I had to
  • 00:01:10
have a certain opinion. And quite
  • 00:01:12
frankly, I disagree with my original
  • 00:01:14
statement. Uh I think I've always stayed
  • 00:01:16
true to just being myself and saying my
  • 00:01:18
opinions. And for some reason, I allowed
  • 00:01:20
it to get to me. I think I was just
  • 00:01:22
spending too much time indoors and
  • 00:01:24
working a little too much and I uh I was
  • 00:01:26
just being soft. It's not going to
  • 00:01:28
happen again. At least most likely not.
  • 00:01:30
So anyways, the show um look, the first
  • 00:01:33
three episodes really put me off. I
  • 00:01:35
wasn't into it. I didn't enjoy the whole
  • 00:01:37
jungle scene. I felt it was so slow. It
  • 00:01:40
was so pointless. It was so just not
  • 00:01:43
enjoyable for me. And some of the other
  • 00:01:45
scenes that I felt just didn't feel like
  • 00:01:47
Star Wars at all. And I just wasn't into
  • 00:01:49
it. I didn't want to watch it. I had
  • 00:01:50
    also seen Tony Gilroyy's comments
  • 00:01:53
regarding Star Wars and how he wasn't a
  • 00:01:55
fan of it and didn't really care for it
  • 00:01:57
and I just rubbed me the wrong way. I
  • 00:01:59
didn't want to watch it or support it.
  • 00:02:00
Um, weeks went by and I returned to old
  • 00:02:04
lore content which only the OGs really
  • 00:02:07
enjoy, but I'm here for that. I'm here
  • 00:02:08
for my entire audience and subscriber
  • 00:02:10
base cuz at the end of the day, you guys
  • 00:02:11
made me who I am and are responsible for
  • 00:02:13
this entire thing. And every video had
  • 00:02:15
thousands of comments about Andor, you
  • 00:02:18
    know, like troll comments. hate
  • 00:02:20
    comments, pleading comments, please
  • 00:02:22
watch it, you know, and and then I went
  • 00:02:24
to Nashville ICC Con and a lot of you
  • 00:02:27
were talking about a lot of like face to
  • 00:02:28
face being like, you know, give it a
  • 00:02:30
shot. Give it a chance. Heartfelt
  • 00:02:32
comments just not not being trolls, just
  • 00:02:34
seriously like you in person. I figured,
  • 00:02:36
okay, you know what, man? Like at the
  • 00:02:38
end of the day, I'm a man of my
  • 00:02:40
community. You guys have got me here and
  • 00:02:41
so I'm going to watch it and then I'll
  • 00:02:43
give my take and if I still don't like
  • 00:02:44
it, then I'll say I don't like it. And
  • 00:02:45
of course, the nail in the coffin was
  • 00:02:46
Roger Christian telling me that I should
  • 00:02:48
watch it. So, I watched it. Episodes I
  • 00:02:51
started episode four because I'd already
  • 00:02:52
seen the first three. Episode four,
  • 00:02:54
slow, boring. Five, slow, boring. Six,
  • 00:02:57
slow, boring. Seven changed a bit.
  • 00:03:00
    Episode 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. For me, I know
  • 00:03:05
a lot of people are going to say
  • 00:03:05
something about this. Probably some of
  • 00:03:07
the best Disney Star Wars. You know
  • 00:03:10
what? After the first six films in the
  • 00:03:12
Clone Wars, probably some of the best
  • 00:03:14
Star Wars I have seen. And it was
  • 00:03:17
nothing like the first three episodes.
  • 00:03:20
It was nothing like the first six
  • 00:03:21
episodes. But after episode 7, after all
  • 00:03:24
the slow slowness, after all the not
  • 00:03:27
feeling like Star Wars, after all of the
  • 00:03:29
    exposition, really started to
  • 00:03:32
change. And you really start to see how
  • 00:03:34
something so grandiose in the first
  • 00:03:36
three films, four, five, and six, which
  • 00:03:38
affected all of the main characters. And
  • 00:03:40
we know it affected the rest of the
  • 00:03:41
galaxy, but mainly just focusing on the
  • 00:03:44
three main characters of Han, Luke, and
  • 00:03:46
Leia, and how the Death Star impacted
  • 00:03:48
them and how the oppression of the
  • 00:03:50
Empire impacted them. We never really
  • 00:03:53
got to dive into the little details of
  • 00:03:56
the everyday people, of the start of the
  • 00:03:59
Rebellion. Now, we can argue that George
  • 00:04:02
Lucas created the Rebellion, the rebels,
  • 00:04:05
and all that, and I am a true George
  • 00:04:07
Lucas fan. But if I'm to judge this
  • 00:04:08
project and to take my hate of I'd say
  • 00:04:13
probably the 90% of Disney projects that
  • 00:04:15
they have created that have just made me
  • 00:04:17
so disillusioned with Star Wars. If I'm
  • 00:04:19
to take that and try to imagine that
  • 00:04:21
doesn't exist and judge this fairly as
  • 00:04:24
its own standalone thing and connect it
  • 00:04:26
into Rogue One, which I feel like was
  • 00:04:28
one of Disney's best Star Wars projects,
  • 00:04:30
which isn't really saying much, but I
  • 00:04:32
feel it was really good. and then
  • 00:04:33
connect it into episode four. I think
  • 00:04:36
    episodes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 of Andor
  • 00:04:39
season 2 was actually really phenomenal
  • 00:04:42
for me. Listen, if you guys have been
  • 00:04:44
riding with me for a long time and you
  • 00:04:46
didn't watch the show, just jump into
  • 00:04:48
episode 7 of season 2. Start right
  • 00:04:50
there. I mean, seeing the level of
  • 00:04:53
turmoil that the Empire has caused on
  • 00:04:56
the first attack, public attack of
  • 00:04:59
Gorman and and their seizing of what
  • 00:05:01
they want, right? All right, cuz
  • 00:05:02
Palpatine is very political. He'll do
  • 00:05:03
everything that he can with a smile on
  • 00:05:05
his face, and we know this. But when it
  • 00:05:08
gets to the point where he needs one
  • 00:05:10
thing, which is a mineral from Gorman
  • 00:05:13
for the Death Star to complete it for
  • 00:05:15
the lasers, at the end of the day, if
  • 00:05:18
they're not going to give him what he
  • 00:05:19
wants, he's going to take it by force.
  • 00:05:21
And to see how the Empire did that,
  • 00:05:23
    Krennic's involvement, Ben Mendelson,
  • 00:05:25
    who's brilliant actor, his involvement
  • 00:05:27
with all of that, overseeing everything
  • 00:05:29
and and and who we thought were the
  • 00:05:31
higherups at the ISB are really just
  • 00:05:33
little dogs to him. And if we go above
  • 00:05:36
him, we see Tarkin Krennic is like the
  • 00:05:38
little dog. It's a really interesting
  • 00:05:40
story. And we see how they manipulate
  • 00:05:42
that entire overtaking of Gorman by the
  • 00:05:46
Empire doing the first shot and making
  • 00:05:48
it look like, you know, when one of the
  • 00:05:50
snipers took out one of the uh the
  • 00:05:52
Imperials and making it look like it was
  • 00:05:53
a a first instigated attack by Gorman
  • 00:05:56
and they're they're now just protecting
  • 00:05:57
themselves and retaliating. It it's um
  • 00:05:59
it plays into a lot of themes of
  • 00:06:01
politics today and it really shows the
  • 00:06:03
level of brutality and what the Empire
  • 00:06:06
really is all about, which is
  • 00:06:07
    themselves. Well, what Palpatine wants,
  • 00:06:09
taking what he wants. You either give it
  • 00:06:12
to us or we're going to take it by
  • 00:06:13
force, and that's always been what the
  • 00:06:14
Empire is about. Wow. And now I just
  • 00:06:16
realized that that rape scene was
  • 00:06:18
    literally encapsulating that. All
  • 00:06:21
right. Okay. I was probably blinded by
  • 00:06:24
my hatred of the acolyte and of uh a lot
  • 00:06:26
of the other Disney projects and just
  • 00:06:28
the sheer annoyance that Disney Star
  • 00:06:30
Wars fans have where you just can't have
  • 00:06:32
an opinion other than it was amazing. It
  • 00:06:35
was perfect. It was peak otherwise
  • 00:06:37
    you're racist, sexist, and homophobic.
  • 00:06:39
And I I I hate that. And I think it
  • 00:06:41
almost at this point it makes us write
  • 00:06:43
off so much off the bat because we're so
  • 00:06:46
angry and pissed off at this type of
  • 00:06:47
behavior and treatment that it doesn't
  • 00:06:49
really let us judge things fairly and
  • 00:06:50
    accordingly to judge each project
  • 00:06:53
project by itself. And I feel like with
  • 00:06:54
Andor season 2 beyond episode 7, look
  • 00:06:58
the episodes before episode 7 in my
  • 00:06:59
    opinion are still Boring, lame,
  • 00:07:02
not Star Wars. episode 7 to 12, I feel
  • 00:07:05
like it did a fantastic job of not only
  • 00:07:08
getting you involved in the characters
  • 00:07:10
lives and their involvement in the start
  • 00:07:12
of the real rebellion, but it really
  • 00:07:14
painted the whole picture of just how
  • 00:07:16
dysfunctional the Empire is when it
  • 00:07:19
comes to keeping their on lock. The
  • 00:07:22
secrets of the Death Star got leaked
  • 00:07:24
out. Luther started telling people and
  • 00:07:26
yapping away and how Krennic was so
  • 00:07:29
angry that this information got leaked
  • 00:07:31
that he then had all basically all the
  • 00:07:33
colonels lie to create some sort of a
  • 00:07:36
fictitious story that uh Luan's daughter
  • 00:07:40
that he found on that ship which by the
  • 00:07:42
way those backstory episodes were great
  • 00:07:43
on episode 10 I believe it was to say
  • 00:07:45
that she's diseased and she's going to
  • 00:07:47
spread a disease and she's like a threat
  • 00:07:48
to the public or something like that. I
  • 00:07:50
think those are really well done. I
  • 00:07:52
remember watching it and I was getting
  • 00:07:54
messages for work for Theory Savers and
  • 00:07:56
I was like, "Yeah, you know what? I'll
  • 00:07:57
answer these later. I want to watch
  • 00:07:59
this." And that to me made me really
  • 00:08:01
realize that I like this, that this
  • 00:08:04
is good. I watched the whole thing and I
  • 00:08:07
watched it unbiasedly and I liked it. I
  • 00:08:10
felt it was really good. I felt it
  • 00:08:11
really portrayed this era in Star Wars
  • 00:08:15
quite well. I enjoyed the time jumps. I
  • 00:08:19
particularly really enjoyed I think it
  • 00:08:22
was episode 9 where Mon Mothma is
  • 00:08:26
explaining to the Senate and to the
  • 00:08:28
galaxy on air live. She's like the
  • 00:08:31
    whistleblower essentially. She's she's
  • 00:08:32
the one telling everyone that this
  • 00:08:35
massacre on Gorman is Palpatine just
  • 00:08:38
essentially taking what he wants and
  • 00:08:40
he's not going to stop. And it's just
  • 00:08:42
the start of many Imperial totalitarian
  • 00:08:45
control. And for me, it was quite a
  • 00:08:48
moving scene. And then her escaping and
  • 00:08:50
Cassie and helping her escape. I think
  • 00:08:52
the writing was very good. Episode 7 to
  • 00:08:55
    12. I think everything was really well
  • 00:08:58
    done. I can't there's nothing I can say
  • 00:09:01
that I didn't like about those episodes.
  • 00:09:03
The music, acting, the dialogue, the
  • 00:09:06
pacing. I feel like everything was
  • 00:09:08
really well done. And and if that is due
  • 00:09:10
to the fact that there was so much
  • 00:09:12
    exposition and the jungle episodes,
  • 00:09:14
    fine. Personally, I don't think so. I
  • 00:09:16
think if you are wanting to watch some
  • 00:09:19
really good episodes of Star Wars,
  • 00:09:21
Disney Star Wars about the Empire, it's
  • 00:09:24
not going to be about Jedi and
  • 00:09:25
lightsabers and stuff and the Force
  • 00:09:27
about the Empire and world building and
  • 00:09:29
giving you a more of a clear
  • 00:09:31
understanding of how the Death Star and
  • 00:09:34
the reg and the Empire and the
  • 00:09:36
    oppression of the Empire affects
  • 00:09:38
everyday people and the first instance
  • 00:09:41
of that on Gorman publicly and how the
  • 00:09:44
how the galaxy reacts to that and how
  • 00:09:46
the rebellion is starting to spread and
  • 00:09:48
Yavin, you're really going to enjoy this
  • 00:09:50
    from a prequel original George
  • 00:09:52
Lucas purist. You're really going to
  • 00:09:55
enjoy this Forget all the other
  • 00:09:56
episodes. Forget season one. Well, you
  • 00:09:58
can watch some of season. Season one was
  • 00:10:00
boring too for me. Oh no. Season 2,
  • 00:10:03
episode 1 to six. Boring. Did not like
  • 00:10:06
it at all. Fighting to stay awake.
  • 00:10:09
Seven, eight, dude. Like I just I I
  • 00:10:11
actually I can't get over it. Like it
  • 00:10:13
was actually freaking good. You guys
  • 00:10:14
know me, man. When I like something, I
  • 00:10:15
really like it. When I don't like
  • 00:10:17
something, I'll let you know. Nothing
  • 00:10:18
more I can really say. I'm trying to
  • 00:10:19
think if I'm leaving anything out here.
  • 00:10:20
So, if you can get this uh level of
  • 00:10:23
competency and this feel and gravitas
  • 00:10:25
and writing and apply it to something
  • 00:10:28
with Jedi and the Force and Sith that is
  • 00:10:32
true to George Lucas Star Wars, you're
  • 00:10:35
going to win some people back and you're
  • 00:10:36
going to start making some money. Uh you
  • 00:10:38
won't win everybody back, but some
  • 00:10:40
people for some people it's just far too
  • 00:10:42
late. And uh I might even be one of
  • 00:10:44
those. But you know what? I can judge
  • 00:10:45
    things accordingly. I can disassociate
  • 00:10:47
    quite well.
  • 00:10:49
    Compartmentalize certain things,
  • 00:10:50
projects, events. I recommend episode 7
  • 00:10:54
to 12. Give it a shot. You can even jump
  • 00:10:56
to episode 8 if you want. Episode 7.
  • 00:10:58
Yeah. But it gives you the bit of a um
  • 00:11:00
the warm-up to to 8, which was pretty
  • 00:11:04
cool. Oh, and and and all of these all
  • 00:11:07
of these dicks who said that it plays
  • 00:11:11
into my narrative to hate things. First
  • 00:11:14
of all, you're a weekend Star Wars fan,
  • 00:11:16
okay? I've been in this game. I've been
  • 00:11:18
in this fight my entire life, so don't
  • 00:11:19
come at me with that kind of
  • 00:11:21
If I really wanted to monetize this
  • 00:11:25
I would have made videos about
  • 00:11:26
Andor until the cows come home. I know
  • 00:11:29
what makes money. I know what titles
  • 00:11:30
make money. I know what content makes
  • 00:11:32
money. If I was trying to do that, I
  • 00:11:34
would have never stopped making content
  • 00:11:36
about Andor. I skipped the entire thing.
  • 00:11:39
No watch parties, no videos, no weekly
  • 00:11:41
    breakdowns, nothing. I have integrity
  • 00:11:44
and I stuck to it and I didn't want to
  • 00:11:45
watch it. I didn't want to cover it. But
  • 00:11:47
after you guys braided my ass to watch
  • 00:11:50
this, I realized that look, at the end
  • 00:11:51
of the day, these are a lot of my
  • 00:11:53
community, the people who got me here,
  • 00:11:54
who are requesting for me to watch this,
  • 00:11:57
they want me to watch this, they want me
  • 00:11:58
to watch it with an open mind. So, I
  • 00:12:00
did. And you guys weren't wrong. I can
  • 00:12:02
see where you were coming from. Uh we're
  • 00:12:04
on the same page. Uh if we're talking
  • 00:12:06
about 7 to 12. So is it peak Star Wars?
  • 00:12:10
I don't think it's peak Star Wars. Peak
  • 00:12:12
Star Wars is the first six films. That's
  • 00:12:15
real Star Wars to me. Is this peak
  • 00:12:17
Disney Star Wars? Yes. But besides that,
  • 00:12:20
um it was very good. There's nothing I
  • 00:12:22
can say bad about it. But to say it's
  • 00:12:24
peak is a disrespect to the first six
  • 00:12:25
films cuz the peak is the peak. The peak
  • 00:12:27
is as high as it can go. And as high as
  • 00:12:30
it can go is George Lucas Star Wars. So,
  • 00:12:32
um, this can be right below the P, but
  • 00:12:34
it is a great addition to the lore and
  • 00:12:38
the start of the rebellion and the
  • 00:12:39
explanation of how the empire and their
  • 00:12:43
regime affects everyday people and their
  • 00:12:46
lives. I think it did a beautiful,
  • 00:12:48
fantastic job of that. Anyways, this
  • 00:12:50
review is like 18 minutes long now, but
  • 00:12:53
um, well deserved for the praise that
  • 00:12:55
it's getting and and all that. And I
  • 00:12:56
don't know how it's doing in terms of
  • 00:12:58
views or people watching it. I don't
  • 00:13:00
know how it's done, but uh I I can
  • 00:13:02
definitely vouch for it. Episodes 7 to
  • 00:13:04
12 are fantastic. So, that closes the
  • 00:13:07
    door on Andor. Next up,
  • 00:13:12
Visions. And then we got Ahsoka season 2
  • 00:13:15
and the mall show. I'm looking forward
  • 00:13:18
to the mall show a lot. Can't wait for
  • 00:13:22
that. I hope it's good. So, um
  • 00:13:26
especially with them putting Talon in
  • 00:13:27
there. But yeah, man. Give it a shot.
  • 00:13:28
you got nothing to lose. If you don't
  • 00:13:30
like it, let me know why. But, uh, you
  • 00:13:32
know, it turned someone who was
  • 00:13:34
    literally like disliked Andor, disliked
  • 00:13:37
Tony Gilroyy's statements and disliked a
  • 00:13:40
lot of the, uh, Andor fans who would
  • 00:13:43
like just bate the out of me for
  • 00:13:45
years. Bricks and screws, this it turn I
  • 00:13:48
was so turned off and I I was being a
  • 00:13:50
little bit of a about it to be
  • 00:13:51
honest. I was just being kind of soft.
  • 00:13:53
Uh, but sometimes I guess gets to
  • 00:13:55
me. I was spending too much time inside
  • 00:13:57
and I uh needed to get
  • 00:13:59
    outdoors. I work a lot, non-stop
  • 00:14:02
working. So, um anyways, love you guys.
  • 00:14:06
Thanks for uh pushing me to watch it and
  • 00:14:09
I hope you have a great day. May the
  • 00:14:10
    force be with you.
