- 00:00:00work less earn more enjoy life that's my
- 00:00:03motto that's my value proposition if you
- 00:00:06were to go to my website and success is
- 00:00:10counterintuitive and that motto has
- 00:00:13brought me the most growth in my life by
- 00:00:16living by that motto because working
- 00:00:18less and forcing myself to try to work
- 00:00:22less and build Solutions so that I can
- 00:00:25work less rather than just be like oh
- 00:00:27you can't work two to four hours a day
- 00:00:30you can only work eight hours a day it's
- 00:00:31like no I can work as much as I [ __ ]
- 00:00:33want to if I build the systems that
- 00:00:35allow me to do that and it's just
- 00:00:37obvious working less leads to higher
- 00:00:41quality rest or more rest which leads to
- 00:00:43higher quality work and so myself and
- 00:00:47others that are on this whole four hour
- 00:00:49work day kick are usually producing
- 00:00:51better work than most of the people that
- 00:00:53are working 12 to 16 hours a day just
- 00:00:56being the hustle and grind entrepreneur
- 00:00:58that is a bit too promoted on social
- 00:01:02media so it's worth less but earn more
- 00:01:04earning more is subjective it's up to
- 00:01:07the individual right I would say that
- 00:01:10most people want to earn more but they
- 00:01:13want to do it doing what they enjoy so
- 00:01:15that's another thing that I live by
- 00:01:16another rule where I have to build I
- 00:01:19have to create a way for myself to do
- 00:01:21that and not just expect it to fall into
- 00:01:24my lap so earning more is subjective but
- 00:01:26over time I truly do believe that anyone
- 00:01:29that has the dedication or at least the
- 00:01:32will or want and consistency to do what
- 00:01:36they enjoy for the rest of their life
- 00:01:39and make a good income doing it they can
- 00:01:41do that why wouldn't they be able to and
- 00:01:43then the last part of the motto is enjoy
- 00:01:46life and that is usually a byproduct of
- 00:01:49both of working less resting more
- 00:01:51earning more and just having the time
- 00:01:53and location freedom to be able to do
- 00:01:55what you choose to do with your life
- 00:01:58that's what I'm all about and it's so
- 00:02:00weird when I see people in the comments
- 00:02:02or other things like challenging this
- 00:02:04notion it's like dude like do you just
- 00:02:07believe that you have no [ __ ] control
- 00:02:08over your life like yeah you're not
- 00:02:10gonna have it right now it takes some
- 00:02:12time I could go on about this all day
- 00:02:13but like dude like just believe in
- 00:02:17yourself as simple as that sounds just
- 00:02:19like
- 00:02:20work towards a better future for
- 00:02:22yourself but the thing is I also fell
- 00:02:24into the Trap of wanting to live the
- 00:02:26life of other people beachfront views
- 00:02:29and the sand in my toes and a tan like
- 00:02:31David Hasselhoff and sipping Coconuts on
- 00:02:35the Beach while working from my laptop
- 00:02:37and that was until I experienced that
- 00:02:40life I'm not here to kind of [ __ ] on the
- 00:02:42digital Nomad culture I think it's great
- 00:02:45I really do think it's great but like
- 00:02:47who wants to do that it kind it gets old
- 00:02:49very quick where you're trying to work
- 00:02:51on the beach and you can't even see your
- 00:02:54screen because the glare from the sun
- 00:02:56and it gets too hot and you have to
- 00:02:58reapply sunscreen and you're like I'm
- 00:03:00[ __ ] thirsty I'd rather just be
- 00:03:01inside working and so I don't know that
- 00:03:04kind of stuff it's like yeah you have to
- 00:03:06go through trial and error to understand
- 00:03:07what you want you have to figure out
- 00:03:09what you don't want in order to figure
- 00:03:10out what you want but you have to
- 00:03:12understand that the the glamor and the
- 00:03:14different Lifestyles that people promote
- 00:03:16it's for it's dopamine right you're
- 00:03:18you're seeing something that you want
- 00:03:19and then one once you achieve it if you
- 00:03:21don't appreciate it and make it a part
- 00:03:23of your life then that is going to fade
- 00:03:26very quickly the Wi-Fi connection in
- 00:03:29those areas gets old the partying and
- 00:03:31the language barrier and doing the
- 00:03:32things that you see on social media as a
- 00:03:34highlight reel they really do get old
- 00:03:36and so the purpose of this video I want
- 00:03:39to talk about moderation and
- 00:03:42sustainability because we just talked
- 00:03:44about how some of those things or at
- 00:03:45least the Glamorous things are not truly
- 00:03:48sustainable so I want to present a
- 00:03:50business model that allows you to create
- 00:03:53your ideal lifestyle through practice
- 00:03:55experimentation and iteration it's a way
- 00:03:58to make a creative income source with
- 00:04:01your skills interests and expertise but
- 00:04:04it's not limited to people that already
- 00:04:06have those things business in the modern
- 00:04:09day with social media and the internet
- 00:04:11and it being so accessible and low
- 00:04:13startup costs you don't have to pay
- 00:04:15money to post something online and ask
- 00:04:18for money in exchange for a valuable
- 00:04:21service like a freelance service or
- 00:04:23Consulting service or even just a
- 00:04:24coaching caller something that is very
- 00:04:27beginner level that you can then build
- 00:04:29up and increase from there as you gain
- 00:04:31experience and so it's kind of A New
- 00:04:33Path it's a new business model because
- 00:04:35of all the technological advancements
- 00:04:37but the thing is is that people still
- 00:04:39consider it taboo because they aren't in
- 00:04:41the game it hasn't been around for that
- 00:04:43long but it's here to stay you're going
- 00:04:45if you decide to pursue this way of like
- 00:04:48social media and digital products and
- 00:04:50Digital Services and all these things
- 00:04:52that are growing and growing over time
- 00:04:54there's some statistic about the
- 00:04:56education industry increasing by XYZ and
- 00:04:59you understand that I am an educator
- 00:05:01whether I like to label myself as that
- 00:05:04or not uh every single person on YouTube
- 00:05:07that is a value Creator rather than an
- 00:05:09entertainment Creator is an educator
- 00:05:11they are teachers this is a new method
- 00:05:15of Education that college and formal
- 00:05:18institutions cannot keep up with because
- 00:05:20because their curriculum cannot be
- 00:05:21updated to match
- 00:05:23something that isn't going to put them
- 00:05:25into a job because the school system and
- 00:05:28just corporate government stuff is all
- 00:05:31tied together they're training into one
- 00:05:33another and so the internet it threatens
- 00:05:35that because it gives the individual the
- 00:05:38power to make a creative income on their
- 00:05:40own and so the education around that
- 00:05:42from individuals on social media and
- 00:05:46course platforms and other things you
- 00:05:47know where they are the school system
- 00:05:49just can't keep up with that so that's
- 00:05:51the main thing is it is completely in
- 00:05:53your hands and if you do not like that
- 00:05:54if you do not value self-reliance or
- 00:05:57personal responsibility or just taking
- 00:05:58control of your own life then this isn't
- 00:06:00for you yet until you come to the
- 00:06:03realization that if you want true
- 00:06:04happiness those are going to have to
- 00:06:05become values of yours so if you're
- 00:06:08watching this or listening to this I'm
- 00:06:10assuming that you're between 18 and 35
- 00:06:12years old that's what it shows on my
- 00:06:14analytics I have your age I have your
- 00:06:17demographics I'm going to steal them all
- 00:06:19and sell it to private third-party
- 00:06:21software I'm just kidding I don't do
- 00:06:23anything with it aside from look at this
- 00:06:24but 18 to 35 years old
- 00:06:27and some outliers I see you if you're
- 00:06:29like 40 50 you're trying to get into
- 00:06:31this space when you're older that's
- 00:06:32[ __ ] awesome props to you but 18 to
- 00:06:3535. now the problem is that most people
- 00:06:40don't see those 18 to 35 years as past
- 00:06:43experience that they can leverage to
- 00:06:46help other people you haven't
- 00:06:48self-reflected enough to see your own
- 00:06:50value and the problems you've overcome
- 00:06:51and that you are genuinely equipped with
- 00:06:55information that can help other people
- 00:06:57that you can educate them on and just
- 00:07:00help them so the first thing is that you
- 00:07:01don't think you have enough experience
- 00:07:03the second thing is that you think
- 00:07:04you're too boring you think your life's
- 00:07:06too boring when this is the cause of
- 00:07:09social media and what we were talking
- 00:07:10about earlier with the Glamorous
- 00:07:11Lifestyles you don't need a glamorous
- 00:07:13lifestyle to do this stuff you need to
- 00:07:15be interested enough to make your
- 00:07:17interest interesting to other people I
- 00:07:20always recommend starting with writing
- 00:07:22like Twitter newsletter blog even
- 00:07:25YouTube I'm reading
- 00:07:27my newsletter from this but that's the
- 00:07:29thing you don't need to even put your
- 00:07:31face on the account you don't have to do
- 00:07:33any of that stop letting the limiting
- 00:07:34beliefs what I'm saying is the very
- 00:07:36thing first thing I said at the start of
- 00:07:38this video is that if you want to
- 00:07:40accomplish something then you need to
- 00:07:41build a solution in order to accomplish
- 00:07:43it if you want to start a business
- 00:07:44without having to show your body then
- 00:07:46build a [ __ ] business without having
- 00:07:48to show your body like it's that simple
- 00:07:50stop convincing yourself otherwise that
- 00:07:53you can't do something because you're
- 00:07:55not doing it like everyone else and from
- 00:07:57my experience the highest paid
- 00:07:59individuals aren't the ones with the
- 00:08:01looks and glamor those people are
- 00:08:02banking on sponsorships and other things
- 00:08:04and they're not making very much money I
- 00:08:06know that the the people that make the
- 00:08:08most money are the generalists they
- 00:08:11aren't one-dimensional they're
- 00:08:13multi-dimensional because they're the
- 00:08:15generalists that hire the Specialists
- 00:08:17everyone tells you to become a
- 00:08:18specialist when that's the worst thing
- 00:08:19you can do why because Specialists mean
- 00:08:22that you do x y z you go ABC you do a
- 00:08:26specific thing you do a specific thing
- 00:08:28and that is just
- 00:08:30primed for automation it's being
- 00:08:32automated out left and right right you
- 00:08:34are not a robot you are not I performed
- 00:08:37this specific task with this specific
- 00:08:38skill because that's where that's where
- 00:08:41you get automated right that you're able
- 00:08:42to be trained into that you need to be a
- 00:08:44generalist and be able to move artfully
- 00:08:47and gracefully within a specific domain
- 00:08:48of interest that you have so I guess
- 00:08:51general rule of thumb is that if you
- 00:08:54work like a robot then you are a robot
- 00:08:56and you will be outsourced to robots and
- 00:08:58your job will be replaced a human being
- 00:09:00should be able to change a diaper plan
- 00:09:02an invasion butcher a hog con a ship
- 00:09:05design a building write a sonnet balance
- 00:09:07accounts build a wall set a bone Comfort
- 00:09:09the dying take orders give orders
- 00:09:12cooperate act alone solve equations
- 00:09:15analyze a new problem pitch manure
- 00:09:17program a computer cook a tasty meal
- 00:09:19fight efficiently die gallantly
- 00:09:22specialization is for insects that is a
- 00:09:25quote from Robert a Heinlein so even
- 00:09:28more of a problem than not seeing your
- 00:09:31own personal experience as valuable is
- 00:09:34ineffective communication because that's
- 00:09:36all people on social media are doing is
- 00:09:38just effective and persuasive
- 00:09:39communication to make their own
- 00:09:41interests valuable and interesting or at
- 00:09:44least perceived as valuable and
- 00:09:45interesting to other people that is the
- 00:09:48skill that you have to master is writing
- 00:09:51effective communication and also
- 00:09:53Effective Thinking because writing is
- 00:09:55how you clarify your thoughts the one
- 00:09:57person business model has always
- 00:09:59appealed to me over having employees
- 00:10:01a simple website as a storefront a
- 00:10:03digital product stack with high profit
- 00:10:05margins for our work days and potential
- 00:10:07one million dollar years control over
- 00:10:09what you work on and who you work with
- 00:10:11hard to beat the one person business in
- 00:10:14my eyes is for those that value
- 00:10:16self-reliance time freedom and location
- 00:10:19Freedom sovereignty autonomy just being
- 00:10:22able to do what you want and having
- 00:10:24enough money to do so while impacting
- 00:10:26the world and having a purpose behind
- 00:10:28your life so one person businesses they
- 00:10:30use social media for building an
- 00:10:33audience building a community and
- 00:10:35attracting people of like Minds right so
- 00:10:37they have so they have leverage for the
- 00:10:39future by building an audience because
- 00:10:41you see a freelancer and they just send
- 00:10:43cold DMS all day well it's like I build
- 00:10:45an audience and I can like sell
- 00:10:49different offers whenever I want as long
- 00:10:51as they're helpful to my audience and
- 00:10:52they want to purchase them willingly and
- 00:10:54so they use social media as traffic and
- 00:10:57then in order to host their products or
- 00:10:58their content or even their newsletter
- 00:11:01we use no code tools right which is just
- 00:11:03software so a website builder maybe a
- 00:11:06social media scheduler things like that
- 00:11:09where those do specialize tasks
- 00:11:12that other people got replaced from
- 00:11:15doing like social media managers as a
- 00:11:16whole are going to be outsourced to just
- 00:11:19software that can
- 00:11:20do those repetitive tasks at a much much
- 00:11:23much cheaper price and so that is
- 00:11:25opening up room for individuals for
- 00:11:27solopreneurs for one person businesses
- 00:11:30to have every aspect of their business
- 00:11:32managed without them having to do
- 00:11:34anything aside from oversee the software
- 00:11:36and add their mind or their creative
- 00:11:40ability to those softwares together in
- 00:11:42order to create a successful business
- 00:11:43and so another important aspect of the
- 00:11:45one-person business is lifestyle design
- 00:11:47because if you work for someone else you
- 00:11:50have a manager they manage you but when
- 00:11:53you work for yourself you can sleep in
- 00:11:54until 1 pm but are you going to get your
- 00:11:57work done if you can get your work done
- 00:12:00how are you going to systemize that how
- 00:12:01are you going to structure your days for
- 00:12:03both maximum productivity and maximum
- 00:12:06creativity how are you going to design
- 00:12:08the life that you want to live through
- 00:12:10trial error experimentation and just
- 00:12:12self-reflection and understanding the
- 00:12:14problems that are blocking your quality
- 00:12:18of life so you have to understand as
- 00:12:19well that there is no such situation in
- 00:12:21a one-person business because if it is a
- 00:12:23one-person business it means it evolves
- 00:12:25with you I used to sell digital products
- 00:12:28and I no longer sell them because I
- 00:12:30evolved I changed I pivoted a bit and I
- 00:12:33changed what I offer I started a
- 00:12:34different business whatever it may be
- 00:12:36but that's the thing is I desaturated
- 00:12:39that market because I can only take on
- 00:12:41so much right this is the one person
- 00:12:43business model is everyone taking their
- 00:12:45piece of the pie by doing what they
- 00:12:47truly enjoy and if everyone did that you
- 00:12:49would have to understand that every
- 00:12:51single interest every single person is
- 00:12:53going to study different interests
- 00:12:54they're going to explore the the crevice
- 00:12:57of reality that they are the most
- 00:12:59curious about and distill their
- 00:13:01learnings to the people that want to
- 00:13:03learn about those things and so if every
- 00:13:06if every single person was authentic and
- 00:13:08honest with what they wanted to pursue
- 00:13:10and their ability to monetize that so
- 00:13:12let's say I want to start carving out
- 00:13:15like Woodworking and selling cutting
- 00:13:18boards right and so I study woodworking
- 00:13:20I study uh like design kitchenware
- 00:13:24design or something like that right you
- 00:13:25can see that
- 00:13:27like your interests are not the only one
- 00:13:29that exists because that's the Trap that
- 00:13:31a lot of us fall into as well like well
- 00:13:33everyone's doing self-improvement
- 00:13:35everyone's studying self-improvement
- 00:13:37everyone's a programmer it's like no
- 00:13:39dude it's because you're interested in
- 00:13:40those things and you're following the
- 00:13:42five to seven hundred people that talk
- 00:13:44about those things only so that's all
- 00:13:46that's in your brain you haven't broken
- 00:13:47out of that bubble or and that's fine
- 00:13:49because you're supposed to be exploring
- 00:13:51that and you're supposed to be creating
- 00:13:52your own unique perspective to
- 00:13:54further understanding in those areas to
- 00:13:57educate people in a better way than
- 00:13:59schools can do so there are two paths to
- 00:14:02starting a one-person business with zero
- 00:14:06experience and first I want you to stop
- 00:14:08thinking of business as some like
- 00:14:10billion dollar company or something like
- 00:14:12that business is what you do business is
- 00:14:15your life's work business is the vessel
- 00:14:18to create your ideal lifestyle while
- 00:14:21impacting The World At Large so money is
- 00:14:25a modern byproduct of living with
- 00:14:28purpose and passing down your teachings
- 00:14:30it's self-actualization and
- 00:14:33self-transcendence it is a vessel for
- 00:14:35that I like to think of it there's like
- 00:14:37mindfulness techniques and spirituality
- 00:14:39there's Zen techniques for achieving
- 00:14:43this actualization or Enlightenment for
- 00:14:45me because you're not supposed to become
- 00:14:48ideological or dogmatic about one method
- 00:14:51to achieving one specific outcome that's
- 00:14:53not how it works business business to me
- 00:14:55is that method of doing it it's a way of
- 00:14:58exposing myself to the world practicing
- 00:15:00mindfulness clarifying my thoughts with
- 00:15:02writing and putting out a meaningful
- 00:15:04message and now we're going to bring up
- 00:15:06the experience thing or imposter
- 00:15:07syndrome here again I just want to make
- 00:15:09it very clear that if you could go to
- 00:15:11your friend right now and you could
- 00:15:13teach him about something that you are
- 00:15:14studying on social media or in school or
- 00:15:17whatever it may be you're more than
- 00:15:18experienced you're already doing this
- 00:15:20[ __ ] you just need to do it in public so
- 00:15:22the first path is skill base this is the
- 00:15:24one that most people take where the
- 00:15:26common advice is learn a skill sell a
- 00:15:29skill teach a skill or however within
- 00:15:32that many however you would organize
- 00:15:34those from one to three and this is
- 00:15:35great but as I said you don't want to
- 00:15:38end up one-dimensional you don't want to
- 00:15:39sell only one skill so that way you're
- 00:15:41automated it's a great starting point
- 00:15:43but you have to be working to get past
- 00:15:45that or else you're just going to be
- 00:15:46that freelancer that's making the same
- 00:15:49income built themselves into a new nine
- 00:15:51to five consistently on the verge of
- 00:15:53losing every single client than just not
- 00:15:56having a backup or some form of Leverage
- 00:15:58built like an audience to to Pivot and
- 00:16:02do whatever they want and are able to
- 00:16:04pursue their genuine Curiosities that
- 00:16:06are going to change and evolve over time
- 00:16:08so path two the one that I like is
- 00:16:10development based so the development
- 00:16:13base is based around the four Eternal
- 00:16:15markets the Eternal markets are where
- 00:16:17most people are trying to achieve lofty
- 00:16:19goals but there are many problems in the
- 00:16:22way of those goals then that's where the
- 00:16:24most money is made those are the
- 00:16:25profitable burning problems that people
- 00:16:27have the four Eternal markets are health
- 00:16:30wealth relationships and happiness so
- 00:16:32path one by choosing a marketable skill
- 00:16:34usually only pays attention to wealth
- 00:16:36but with path two
- 00:16:38it's just built for the business of you
- 00:16:42the one person business because he quite
- 00:16:45literally pursue your own goals which is
- 00:16:47your brand which we'll talk about you
- 00:16:49solve your own problems as you are
- 00:16:51pursuing those goals by uh researching
- 00:16:54your Curiosities that allow you to
- 00:16:56achieve those goals faster which is the
- 00:16:58content the information and the value
- 00:17:00that you're passing down and you create
- 00:17:02a system to help others do the same so
- 00:17:04you self-reflect and you look back how
- 00:17:06would I have done this better how can I
- 00:17:08how did I do this and what results did I
- 00:17:10have now how can I help other people
- 00:17:12step by step in a faster way get to
- 00:17:15those results so you're advancing human
- 00:17:17evolution you're helping people evolve
- 00:17:19and trans or actualize and transcend
- 00:17:21much faster and that's why I said
- 00:17:22business to me is this vessel for
- 00:17:25self-actualization and even spirituality
- 00:17:27and self-transcendence and so that
- 00:17:29system that step-by-step system is your
- 00:17:32offer or your product and so that is how
- 00:17:34you be yourself improve yourself and
- 00:17:36profit off of yourself you may be
- 00:17:38wondering like but but Dan I'm I'm just
- 00:17:40starting out and it's like you don't
- 00:17:42have to write posts or create a product
- 00:17:45where it's like how to make a million
- 00:17:46dollars in three days you don't have to
- 00:17:48do that you have to pay attention to
- 00:17:49where you are now where you're going and
- 00:17:52how you're going to get there right so
- 00:17:54where you are now you may have made zero
- 00:17:56dollars and so how do you position your
- 00:17:58content or your product how do you
- 00:17:59position or what perspective are you
- 00:18:02giving about yourself so how do people
- 00:18:04perceive you right you can you don't
- 00:18:06write a post on how to make a million
- 00:18:07dollars in three days you're right
- 00:18:09here's how I'm going to make a million
- 00:18:10dollars in five years
- 00:18:13yeah I mean it you know and then you
- 00:18:15give out your plan and then people
- 00:18:16follow along because you are a leader
- 00:18:18then and people follow leaders you are
- 00:18:20positioning yourself as a leader you're
- 00:18:23helping people achieve the goals that
- 00:18:25you are trying to achieve and you're
- 00:18:26kind of leaving breadcrumbs along the
- 00:18:28way and then path three is both both
- 00:18:31skill and development based and this is
- 00:18:33kind of a given because when you start
- 00:18:35and you haven't learned any skills yet
- 00:18:36this is how you learn fast if you're
- 00:18:39going to start on social media as your
- 00:18:41way of generating traffic then you're
- 00:18:43going to have to learn how to design a
- 00:18:45good profile picture how to design a
- 00:18:47good Banner how to write a compelling
- 00:18:49compelling bio you're gonna have to
- 00:18:51learn how to write social media posts so
- 00:18:53you could become a Twitter ghost writer
- 00:18:55you could become an Instagram post
- 00:18:57Creator how whatever you call that you
- 00:19:00could become a video editor you could be
- 00:19:02you could design uh banners for people
- 00:19:05you're building skills as you grow your
- 00:19:08business and that means you can help
- 00:19:10other people grow their business and
- 00:19:12offer a freelancer service so you can
- 00:19:14start monetizing pretty close to from
- 00:19:16the start and you're doing it in such a
- 00:19:18way that you're you're actually getting
- 00:19:21results for yourself if you get results
- 00:19:23for yourself in a real world setting
- 00:19:25rather than just building out portfolio
- 00:19:27pieces and never getting paid what you
- 00:19:30deserve because you don't know how to
- 00:19:31apply your skills to someone's actual
- 00:19:33business then you practice your skills
- 00:19:36on your own business you build your own
- 00:19:38website you build your own landing page
- 00:19:39maybe you build a landing page from a
- 00:19:41for an affiliate product to see how good
- 00:19:44you are at copywriting because then you
- 00:19:46don't even have to create the product
- 00:19:47you just build an affiliate product
- 00:19:49build your own landing page see how good
- 00:19:51you are at that and then you can offer
- 00:19:53selling landing pages for one to two
- 00:19:54thousand dollars to other creators you
- 00:19:57see what I'm saying here all you have to
- 00:19:58do is just [ __ ] start so now let's go
- 00:20:00over the four pillars of the one-person
- 00:20:02business so for those that want to do
- 00:20:04what they want and help the people that
- 00:20:06they can help the most traditional
- 00:20:08branding marketing content and offer
- 00:20:11advice is not going to fit very well
- 00:20:13because in the case of this one-person
- 00:20:15business that I'm talking about in the
- 00:20:17next video we'll go over what a value
- 00:20:18Creator is it's a style of one person
- 00:20:20business and I'm breaking these down
- 00:20:22because it takes more than just one
- 00:20:23video to do but in this case the
- 00:20:26experience model that I'm talking about
- 00:20:28you are your customer Avatar you are
- 00:20:31your brand you are your Niche you are
- 00:20:33your content you are your offer you are
- 00:20:35everything and self-awareness and
- 00:20:37self-reliance is going to be the
- 00:20:38greatest skill that you have and those
- 00:20:40are the people that thrive the most in
- 00:20:42this one-person business model is those
- 00:20:44that take responsibility for their
- 00:20:45future and help others get to where
- 00:20:48they're going so to break down the
- 00:20:50one-person business very quickly your
- 00:20:52goals are your brand so what do you want
- 00:20:55out of life and what are you leading
- 00:20:57people towards now the problems that are
- 00:21:00standing in the way of your goals turn
- 00:21:02into the content so what roadblocks will
- 00:21:06your followers encounter and how are you
- 00:21:08going to help them overcome it and now
- 00:21:10there's a lot more that goes into
- 00:21:12content than that but that's a great
- 00:21:14starting point right and so systems are
- 00:21:16how you solve the problem turns into a
- 00:21:18product so how can they solve their
- 00:21:20problems faster because that's what
- 00:21:22people want and now the benefits how has
- 00:21:25this entire Journey impacted your life
- 00:21:28that turns into your marketing so why
- 00:21:30should they care about your message
- 00:21:31right why do I write every day and how
- 00:21:34can I turn that into a persuasive
- 00:21:36argument anyone who studied marketing
- 00:21:38understands that benefits Rich language
- 00:21:40is extremely powerful and persuasive so
- 00:21:42if I wake up and I write not only to
- 00:21:45earn an income think much more clearly
- 00:21:49systemize all of my other content I
- 00:21:51could go on day like all day long but
- 00:21:54you can go and look at those benefits
- 00:21:55and how exactly I'm doing this on any of
- 00:21:57my landing pages so what you do as I
- 00:22:00mentioned in a previous video on how to
- 00:22:02solve your own problems or how to find
- 00:22:03Purpose By solving your own problems is
- 00:22:06that that's exactly what you do you
- 00:22:07pursue a goal you solve your own
- 00:22:08problems you teach others how you did it
- 00:22:10and that's your business right and then
- 00:22:12when it comes to building out a product
- 00:22:14or a service that you can sell in
- 00:22:15relation to that then it just works out
- 00:22:17and this is of course oversimplified
- 00:22:19there's many many nuances here but if
- 00:22:21you take these foundational principles
- 00:22:24and apply them then figure out and test
- 00:22:26and experiment and do exactly what I'm
- 00:22:29telling you to do by figuring it out for
- 00:22:31yourself so you actually have unique and
- 00:22:33genuine knowledge on how to do it it's
- 00:22:35going to take time but that time is
- 00:22:37going to pay back tenfold aside from you
- 00:22:39hiring someone to build your brand for
- 00:22:41you because then you're just
- 00:22:43relinquishing all potential leverage and
- 00:22:46just power all right so branding is is
- 00:22:49fairly understandable that's where you
- 00:22:51work towards a goal and that is your
- 00:22:53brand message that's what you're helping
- 00:22:54people do if your goal is to make a
- 00:22:56million dollars then your mission or
- 00:22:58your message that you can start with and
- 00:23:00iterate from
- 00:23:01is helping a thousand people
- 00:23:05make a million dollars by 2025 right who
- 00:23:09wouldn't want to follow that so the next
- 00:23:11pillar content is where people have the
- 00:23:13most problems it's like Dan what do I
- 00:23:15write about so let me introduce you to a
- 00:23:17topic that I talk about in digital
- 00:23:20economics called the domain of Mastery
- 00:23:22so what you do is you pick three
- 00:23:24interests one that makes money which is
- 00:23:26almost any of them that's just your
- 00:23:27priority interest interest two excites
- 00:23:30you and interest three is development
- 00:23:32based so like psychology
- 00:23:33self-improvement self-development
- 00:23:35metaphysics philosophy something that
- 00:23:37helps you understand just the
- 00:23:39progression pattern of every single
- 00:23:42thing anyone could ever do so you can
- 00:23:45have a unique perspective on those
- 00:23:47things by applying spirituality
- 00:23:49principles philosophy psychology that
- 00:23:52kind of stuff and then when you look at
- 00:23:53this graph you can break them down into
- 00:23:55the principles so what are the
- 00:23:57fundamentals or the principles of each
- 00:23:59interest in getting results with those
- 00:24:01in relation to your goal and then from
- 00:24:03that you can break them down into other
- 00:24:05topics you can break them down into
- 00:24:07mentors for inspiration so the people
- 00:24:09that you follow
- 00:24:12and get your advice from and then the
- 00:24:15connections so the connections between
- 00:24:16all of them and real world problems and
- 00:24:19those are all the starting places that
- 00:24:21you can
- 00:24:22start writing or creating content around
- 00:24:24in a way that is very effective and
- 00:24:26educational and valuable so pillar
- 00:24:28number three is the offer or the product
- 00:24:30that you're creating and no you don't
- 00:24:33have to wait to start monetizing I hate
- 00:24:35that stupid gatekeeper mindset where
- 00:24:37people are like oh you need to be this
- 00:24:39experience to start making an income or
- 00:24:41you need to start doing this to start
- 00:24:44making an income it's like no dude like
- 00:24:46you don't you don't [ __ ] understand
- 00:24:47you're just gatekeeping and you're
- 00:24:49trying to like you're not thinking like
- 00:24:52think a bit deeper right how do
- 00:24:54Freelancers start making money they
- 00:24:56learn the found fundamentals of a skill
- 00:24:58very very quickly they start reaching
- 00:25:00out to people immediately so they can go
- 00:25:02get real world free
- 00:25:04real world feedback next they either
- 00:25:07charge free or very low cost because
- 00:25:09their skill isn't up to par to charge
- 00:25:11two to five thousand dollars and then
- 00:25:14they gradually work their way up step by
- 00:25:16step and the sooner you start selling
- 00:25:19something not only the sooner you can
- 00:25:21make money but the sooner you can start
- 00:25:23failing and you can start iterating the
- 00:25:26first product is always going to be [ __ ]
- 00:25:28you just need to get it out you need to
- 00:25:31get the [ __ ] out so that you can make it
- 00:25:32better because you're never ever ever
- 00:25:34gonna have a great product the first
- 00:25:37time around it's just not gonna [ __ ]
- 00:25:38happen put an offer out there build a
- 00:25:41digital product sell a physical product
- 00:25:42the drop ship if you have to start a
- 00:25:45freelance service start a Consulting
- 00:25:46service whatever it may be put out
- 00:25:48content and just start getting the [ __ ]
- 00:25:51out of the faucet so clear water can
- 00:25:54flow so it's like okay Dan but what do I
- 00:25:55sell so let me introduce to you what I
- 00:25:57call the minimum viable offer there's
- 00:25:59minimum viable product but an offer is
- 00:26:01like all encompassing so the minimum
- 00:26:03viable offer is I either a single a
- 00:26:06single freelance skill that you sell for
- 00:26:08five five hundred to one thousand
- 00:26:09dollars so that's web design email
- 00:26:11marketing something like that where a
- 00:26:13single skill you're not it's not a crazy
- 00:26:15offer you're never going to be able to
- 00:26:16charge five thousand dollars for that
- 00:26:18but you have to start somewhere or
- 00:26:20number two is a single
- 00:26:23interest Consulting service where you
- 00:26:25sell a pack of four calls for five
- 00:26:27hundred to one thousand dollars so this
- 00:26:29is what most people do and most people
- 00:26:30get like get caught up in this it's like
- 00:26:33there's some kind of stupid stigma
- 00:26:35around freelancing where it's like yeah
- 00:26:37I have to do the work I can't just teach
- 00:26:40people about it and it's like as a
- 00:26:41Creator me I hate paying for work I'd
- 00:26:44rather pay you to get on a call with me
- 00:26:46and consult me on how to do a specific
- 00:26:48thing whether it's a skill or not if
- 00:26:50it's health I want to be taught if
- 00:26:52you're starting an education business
- 00:26:53like this then don't do a freelance done
- 00:26:57for you service just offer Consulting
- 00:26:59calls or a digital product so Health
- 00:27:03coaching Fitness coaching performance
- 00:27:05coaching mindset coaching life coaching
- 00:27:07business coaching of whatever domain or
- 00:27:09Niche you're in those are very broad you
- 00:27:11can go a bit more deep into the sub
- 00:27:13markets within those like bodybuilding
- 00:27:15coaching or uh Nero
- 00:27:19neural hacking
- 00:27:21Consulting right it's what you're
- 00:27:23interested in and you can only find what
- 00:27:25it is that you want to teach by diving
- 00:27:27into your domain of Mastery or the
- 00:27:30crevice of reality that composes the
- 00:27:33interest you want to explore in this
- 00:27:34life but it's not like Consulting isn't
- 00:27:37only limited to those I'm really
- 00:27:38surprised that like digital tutoring
- 00:27:41offers aren't more of a thing if I learn
- 00:27:43web design and I want to teach a Creator
- 00:27:45over four calls how to design a great
- 00:27:48website for themselves I think that's a
- 00:27:50great [ __ ] offer and if I was
- 00:27:51starting out I would pay for that it's
- 00:27:53the same thing I'll get on calls for
- 00:27:55four weeks with you and teach you how to
- 00:27:57write compelling emails I'll teach you
- 00:27:58how to run Facebook ads it's a
- 00:28:00Consulting offer and I think those are
- 00:28:03much better
- 00:28:05much more scalable than a freelance
- 00:28:07offer and so the thing why we start with
- 00:28:10a minimum viable offer is that you can
- 00:28:12start monetizing immediately you can
- 00:28:13start reaching out to people in the DMS
- 00:28:15you can write a Twitter thread or a post
- 00:28:17and have others retweet it and then plug
- 00:28:19your service so you're getting a
- 00:28:20thousand to
- 00:28:22if it goes viral a million views on your
- 00:28:24offer
- 00:28:25and you start making money because it's
- 00:28:27traffic and it's offers and so the other
- 00:28:29thing is why you start with this is
- 00:28:31because then you can start fleshing out
- 00:28:33a digital product and already have
- 00:28:34results for it you can teach other
- 00:28:36people you can get them results and you
- 00:28:38can note the commonalities between like
- 00:28:40what you're talking about on each call
- 00:28:41and you package it up into a course
- 00:28:43ebook a cohort something of that nature
- 00:28:46that you can then switch to and so you
- 00:28:49can stop taking on so much client work
- 00:28:51as your audience grows and you can
- 00:28:52switch to a digital product and have
- 00:28:54more free time and so that was just a
- 00:28:56broad overview of all of this one-person
- 00:28:58business stuff I'll go a bit more in
- 00:29:00depth in the next video but I want to
- 00:29:02get more people primed uh to this whole
- 00:29:05idea because I feel like it's it's not
- 00:29:08ground shaking or revolutionary by any
- 00:29:10means but it is very important so with
- 00:29:12all of that like the video subscribe for
- 00:29:15the next one and if you haven't already
- 00:29:17consider enrolling in digital economics
- 00:29:19I believe when this video goes out it
- 00:29:21starts next week so only the first
- 00:29:24people that actually view this video
- 00:29:26will be able to get at it when it's live
- 00:29:27but later on you can apply uh to the
- 00:29:30wait list and you can also check out
- 00:29:32other stuff down there like the two hour
- 00:29:34writer course or modern Mastery which is
- 00:29:37my community and other free creative
- 00:29:39challenges a power planner all of that
- 00:29:41fun stuff so thank you for watching or
- 00:29:43listening and I'll see you in the next
- 00:29:45one peace
