Before there was time, before there was anything,
there was the Void. And before there was the void there was the Green Hue.

And from the Green they came: The Old gods.
The original creators and destroyers of this world.

The Old gods made the
world to their image, shaping it as they saw fit.

One day, Sylvian, the goddess of creation, and Gro-goroth,
the god of destruction, decided to have a child.

And eons after their union, Sylvian pushed a pine cone
out of her Abyss,

giving birth to Ninush, the god of nature.
The perfect union between creation and destruction.

The children of Sylvian were to be fruitful for multiply within Ninush's
embrace, giving Gro-goroth more to the destroy.

Gro-goroth, Sylvian and Ninush are arguably the most
important Old gods of Fear & Hunger. But they aren't the only ones.

If we visit the National Museum of Bohemia in
Fear & Hunger 2 we see an old clock.

In it there is a small circle with 10 sigils. Each sigil represents
not just a month, but also a god.

And this clock gives us the key to unravel the mysteries of the story of
Fear & Hunger. Something we shall be doing today.

And I had a goal: I wanted to make a complete and definite timeline of
Fear & Hunger. With all the major events.

And that proved to be... hard, you know?
But after doing lots of research I think I managed to pull it off.

going from the very beginning, all the way to the year 1942 where the most recent
event of Fear & hunger 2 takes place.

Right now we are here. At the very beginning.
And the oldest date we have knowledge of is this one.

So let's see what happened.

Before the humans the lizardmen inhabited the world as a dominant species.

And the gods wanted a city where
they could be worshipped by these intelligent lizards.

So the Old gods created the figurines, subservient beings
that would build the city of Ma'habre, the city of the gods.

This place would serve the purpose of existing outside
time and being a hub for different Planes of Existence.

The lizardmen desired to ascend and live closer to the
gods in the Void, so the gods also designed the Golden Throne

Where Mortals would sit after proving their worth and achieve Greater Heights.

Rher, the jealous moon god, and the fourth sigil on the clock, was against this.
Rher did not want to share godhood with mortals, even if just a fraction of it.

So he stands as antagonist to any mortal in
their way to become a God.

Still that did not stop nine lizardmen from sitting on the throne and one day being known as the Chromatic Blights,

Legendary dragons that would be the rulers of
the Golden City.

While the lizards were still ruling Ma'habre, Sylvian ordered one of her servants
named Vitruvia

to design a man and a woman to the likeness of Sylvian herself.
Sylvian fell in love with the results

and created humans according to Vitruvia's drawings. Sylvian loved her children greatly, but that love quickly turned into an obsession

as she tried to guide her children more and more. Sylvian
realized her children could never return the same amount

of Love Back to her so to make humanity
more to her liking, she gifted them with love magic.

And for a brief moment in ancient history, humanity
did nothing but copulate;

spending their days away in a frenzy of fleshy delights.

Sylvian would realize once again she had made a mistake
when the humans grew greedy and hostile.

Wanting to give room to
their own civilizations, they ravaged nature

and waged a long war against Ninush to determine who was
to become the master and who the slave.

And for everyone's surprise humanity won,
killing Ninush in the process.

From the grievous realization that nature was dead, they renamed the god to Vinushka. Meaning "guilt", the great guilt of mankind.

That guilt would be carried over for generations to come, as only faint traces
of the old God now remain in the world

Okay, quick theory. I personally believe that
the death of Vinushka is meant to be a metaphor for

the creation of agriculture. After all that was
when humans stopped living as nomadic tribes

and learned how to exploit nature for their own
benefit. So, in that case, if Fear & Hunger's Universe

follows a similar timeline to a real world that
would be around 10,000 B.A.

Probably due to the death of Vinushka, the Old gods then would start an
Exodus, leaving the world for their own creations.

Likely returning back to the Green Hue they once came.
But before their departure they nominated

one of them to stay behind and reign as the True
King of Ma'habre. That King is represented by the very

first sigil on the clock. A god some of you might
already be familiar with, but I'll leave the topic for later.

There's a lot of speculation behind
this god, and it's also worth a video of its own.

Without much explanation the True King and the Lizardmen vanished.
The figurines to this present day still talk about the prophecies that one day

their King will return. After this humans became
the new rulers of Ma'habre. They sought the Throne

of Ascension not to live amongst the Old gods,
but to have power equal to them. They believed
00:06:10
the Old gods had abandoned humans, and they would
seek the throne as means to establish a new age for humanity.

But the truth is the Throne was never
made for humans to surpass their creators.

Instead, it was device to make sure the Great Scheme of
Things would always be set in place.

But what is that Great Scheme? It's one where mankind would
be bound to forever repeat its mistakes.

Never learning and forever relying on the gods for
guidance. And yet, generation after generation,

New Gods would emerge promising to save the world.
Waging endless wars in the process, and after their

influence had diminished, they would vanish too.
Leaving the world in a state no better than it was before.

Until one day a man with humble origins
started to gather prominence around the lands of

the Eastern Sanctuaries. The man was said to
be born of a virgin mother with the seed laid

by a false god. His name was Alll-mer, and with his
12 trusted Apostles they had the goal to unify
00:07:08
people from all religions and reestablish the Old
World Order, where humans lived under the guidance
00:07:13
of the Old gods. the Kings and sultans of the time
would not let a god-like man threaten their rule,
00:07:19
so they captured Alll-mer and sentenced him for
public humiliation and eventually death on the cross.

But all of this only served in Alll-mer's favor,
for the pain and suffering had pushed the men over the edge.

After being crucified Alll-mer soared to the
heavens with his arms still widespread from his
00:07:35
hands being nailed into a cross. His ascension
led him to Ma'habre, where he spent three days and

three nights there, but not alone. Somehow one of
his Apostles came along with him to the city of the gods.

At the Golden City, Alll-mer had the goal of
reaching absolution. For that, he carved idols of

himself in an attempt to separate his imperfect,
subconscious side. These Idols condensed into a

single macabre being. And then the Ascended One became
two. But the world had no need for two Messiahs. So

just as one was buried deep within the subconscious
of Alll-mer, they had to be cast away deep, deep down the Sulfuric Pits.

Alll-mer became the first ascended god.
A class of gods with human origins, but at the same

time with enough power to rival the very Old gods

I believe that during his stay Alll-mer used the
traces of the True King to fuel his ascension.

The traces of an old God seem to be necessary for
the birth of an ascended god, and I think that's what happened with Alll-mer.

The discarded side of Almer became known as the Sulfur God.
He represents the

second sigil on the clock, while the third sigil
belongs to the side of Alll-mer that returned.

But even though he's the most influential god

to this date, his own age would not last too long.
As just a few centuries later a new generation

of New Gods ascended with the Throne of Ma'habre.
From this generation of gods emerged Betel.

He created the Grand libraries in Ma'habre with the
hope that one day its archives would surpass the

knowledge of even the Old gods. Betel is most likely
the responsible for the creation of the cult of

the dark priests. Scholars and devotees of both Old
and New gods. They were persecuted by the common

folk since their creation due their practices.
Their importance will be made more apparent in

the future, so hold on to that information for now.
In the year 410 another generation of New Gods

emerged. One of its members being Nas'hrah, the Tyrant
of the Eastern Sanctuaries; self-proclaimed "the

destroyer of the modern man". He tricked Betel and
assumed his position at the Grand libraries and

with the knowledge he acquired there he created
the sect of the Yellow Mages.

Yellow Mages are spellcasters whose powers come from packs with
the gods, instead of just praying to them.

They are quite the opposite of the Dark Priests,
in a sense where while the Dark Priests worship

every god in servitude, the Yellow Mages would
only pray to the gods while it was useful for them.

Nas'hrah's reign was marked by expansionist wars,
cruelty and sadism. Unlike the new gods that came

before him Nas'hrah refused to go to the Hall of
the Gods, a metaphysical dimension where the New

gods reside after the time ends. Nas'hrah led multiple
campaigns against the nation of Edo that turned

out to be unsuccessful. But he took a page from
them and created the nation of Yansa Aryuaban by

appointing high status prisoners from the war against
Edo as the central figures of the nation. Although not

to explained how, Nas'hrah was decapitated before
the 9th century. Nas'hrah's immortality allowed him

to still live just as ahead, but his reign would
soon come to an end as a brand new generation of New Gods emerged.

The fellowship consisted
of five characters: First Francóis. The dominating

force who wanted to unify the warring lands
of the time. Second, Nilvan. The beauty who trusted

the endless potential of humanity. Third, Valteil.
The dark priest who sought enlightenment on

the secrets behind the creation of Life. Fourth,
Chambara. The tormented poet who believed that

no masterpiece could be achieved without great
pain and suffering. And the fifth one, Nosramus.

who would learn about the Great Scheme of
Things. They would venture to the ancient

tomb of Ma'habre and overcome its challenges,
gaining the approval of the figurines to sit

in the Throne of Ascension and become
gods that would guide humanity to a new

age, the age of The Fellowship. Only Nosramus would
refuse to become a new god and be forgotten,

turning into a mysterious alchemist that desires
to learn more about the secrets hidden in the

depths of the tombs. In the first game we can still
find The Fellowship lurking at the Ma'habre of the

past and we need to get their souls to reach
the Throne of Ascension and become New Gods ourselves.

A few years after their ascension,
The Fellowship would return to Ma'habre and live there.

Valteil would assume the Grand Libraries to
study the secrets of creating life, thinking

that way he would overcome the gods. His many
attempts failed and he turned to degenerate

that would have intercourse every night
with his own creations.

Chambara created the Chains of Torment to torture himself
for hundreds of years, believing that this

way he would gain inspiration to write
a great masterpiece. He also extended the

pain to the creatures of the Golden City, now
screaming their suffering in the halls as the Red Men.

Francóis realized that the power of a new god wasn't enough for his ambitions, so he took control over the Golden City

and sat on its throne for centuries. Foolishly believing that this was the path for True Ascension.

And Nilvan rested in the Tower of Endless,
where she could observe

and interact with the rest of the world through
visions and dreams.

Fast forward a few centuries and the small warring nations of central Europa
united into a single nation: the Kingdom of Rondon.

This kingdom would start war campaigns against
the Eastern Sanctuaries wanting to conquer the

city of Jettetiah, the Holy Capital and the place where
Alll-mer was born. The Vatican financed the campaigns

against the Eastern Sanctuaries, as well as the
deployed the Penance Knights.

A special unity of death-sentenced criminals who would have one last
chance of repenting for their sins.

The armor of the Penance Knights could not be removed once put
on. These armors had rows of small spikes that drill

into the skin of the wearer. The pain was meant
to cleanse the mind during the mission and heighten the fury of the fighter.

A war prison was built
by Rondon on the top of the ruins of Ma'habre.

Rondon wanted to use the dark rumors surrounding the
ruins to scare their enemies. These dungeons would

be known as the Dungeons of Fear and Hunger, the place
where the first game's set.

Little did they know this would be a great mistake. For the darkness
hidden in its depths could not be contained.

The age of peace and prosperity brought by the fellowship
was gone by the 16th century.

Wars and a terrible plague would take a hold of Rondon, claiming
the lives of thousands, if not millions.

Prayers for the fellowship to save them went unheard. People
once again started to blame the Old gods for this curse.

But one day an old prophecy resurged. Tales
about a man who would unify the lands not by

the power of the golden staff, but by
the power of dozens of pitchforks.

A fair-haired man with golden locks, that would
shepherd humanity out of the darkness.

traits started to gain fame around Central Europa,
