00:00:03
hi Pastor Joel I've been listening to
00:00:04
you on biblical patriarchy and I'm
00:00:06
wondering what you think about women
00:00:08
having the right to
00:00:09
vote since men lead the home and men
00:00:12
should be the governing authorities then
00:00:14
should women have part in deciding the
00:00:17
direction of society thanks Josh
00:00:19
appreciate that
00:00:20
one Josh is like I got him I you know
00:00:23
now he's going to have to be
00:00:24
controversial yeah I I've said this
00:00:26
before so I don't mind saying it again
00:00:28
uh no I don't think women should vote
00:00:30
um I think that women's
00:00:32
suffrage has done more for women's
00:00:35
suffering than almost anything else
00:00:38
women suffer because of women's suffrage
00:00:42
and and this is you talk about data and
00:00:44
those kind of you can look it up I I
00:00:45
tweeted it recently um but you can look
00:00:48
it up 2016 election
00:00:51
results um somebody did some kind of you
00:00:53
know they they posted a map of the US
00:00:57
and all the states and which way they
00:00:59
went blue or red and the electoral vote
00:01:01
and what it would have been and they did
00:01:03
it by subtracting all of the male votes
00:01:07
what would the outcome have been you
00:01:09
want to guess anybody want to guess type
00:01:11
it in the comments real quick what what
00:01:12
do you think you think Hillary would
00:01:14
have beaten Donald Trump if men couldn't
00:01:16
vote if it was just women's
00:01:18
votes in a
00:01:20
landslide in a landslide I think I I I
00:01:23
think it was there was only like three
00:01:25
or four states out of 50 that went red
00:01:29
if you take men's votes votes out of it
00:01:30
and it's only women
00:01:32
voting I think Mississippi was one of
00:01:34
them uh Oklahoma I think was one of them
00:01:37
Kansas might have been one of them
00:01:39
that's it Texas went
00:01:41
blue uh yeah I mean it was I think it
00:01:44
was like I can't remember exactly it was
00:01:46
like 86 it might have been like 93% of
00:01:49
the electoral vote Clinton Hillary If
00:01:54
Only Women could vote um and I've got a
00:01:57
lot of thoughts on this and a lot of
00:01:58
them are controversial but they're
00:01:59
truthful so I'll share them um one is uh
00:02:04
Adam was not deceived but the woman was
00:02:06
deceived and became a sinner 1 Timothy
00:02:10
2:
00:02:11
9-15 right I do not allow a woman right
00:02:14
women must learn quietly and in full
00:02:16
submission I do not permit a woman to
00:02:17
teach or exercise authority over a man
00:02:20
right and then Paul he hinges the
00:02:22
argument not on some cultural thing in
00:02:23
his time and place but on the created
00:02:25
order that is timeless before sin ever
00:02:27
entered the world the the design and
00:02:30
creation of the woman herself woman was
00:02:33
made Adam was made from the dust of the
00:02:35
ground and so is the woman nope Adam was
00:02:37
made from the dust of the ground the
00:02:39
woman was made from man and for man as a
00:02:42
helpmate from man and for man even her
00:02:46
origin her design her creation is all
00:02:48
distinct and for a purpose for a
00:02:51
reason right and so um it goes on and uh
00:02:55
we have multiple other places we have 1
00:02:56
Peter chapter 3 we've got uh f 1 Timothy
00:02:59
chapter two we've got Genesis 1 2 and 3
00:03:02
um and and one of the things that Paul
00:03:03
says commentating on Genesis 3 in the
00:03:06
fall that we we find happened in the
00:03:08
garden is it um both sinned Adam and Eve
00:03:12
but only one was
00:03:13
deceived and there's been a lot of you
00:03:15
know talk and debate about that so are
00:03:17
women on average in general more
00:03:20
gullible uh
00:03:21
more vulnerable to being deceived than
00:03:25
men um that has been the reigning
00:03:28
position yes in the affirmative yes
00:03:31
women are more easily deceived than men
00:03:33
that that has been the
00:03:35
position of the church throughout church
00:03:37
history like all the way up until
00:03:40
yesterday that was not a controversial
00:03:42
statement that was not a controversial
00:03:45
belief that that is what the church held
00:03:48
with with no push back no no confus like
00:03:51
just of course of course they are why
00:03:54
for well for two reasons because we see
00:03:55
it all the time in our experience and
00:03:59
because the Bible says
00:04:01
so like and it's not just about Eve and
00:04:04
the fact that she was deceived by the
00:04:06
serpent but multiple other place Paul
00:04:08
talks about false teachers they creep
00:04:10
right so second Timothy creep creep
00:04:12
second Timothy chapter 3 they these men
00:04:14
they creep into households and entice
00:04:18
and lure deceive weak willed women women
00:04:24
now that doesn't mean men can't be
00:04:25
deceived and that doesn't mean that
00:04:27
women can't ever not be deceived there
00:04:30
are Godly women and there are some Stout
00:04:32
women and I don't mean physically I mean
00:04:34
they're Stout theologically they are
00:04:36
robust they are wise they are
00:04:39
Discerning and praise God so we're
00:04:41
talking about a general rule right it's
00:04:43
the same as serving in the military
00:04:45
right women should not be serving in
00:04:47
combat roles in the military period and
00:04:49
they certainly shouldn't be drafted you
00:04:51
but think about that all right let me
00:04:52
connect the dots women's suffrage the
00:04:55
right for women to vote women's draft
00:04:59
don't you think for a second that these
00:05:01
things aren't intrinsically
00:05:03
correlated women's suffrage the right to
00:05:05
vote directly not indirectly not even
00:05:09
with a million different multivariant
00:05:10
factors no directly one to one ratio
00:05:12
women get to vote women get drafted into
00:05:15
war and that is probably going to happen
00:05:18
unless unless we have some serious
00:05:20
Revival some serious changes that that
00:05:22
that's that's where we're
00:05:24
headed that discussion is popping up all
00:05:26
the time all the time in the news
00:05:29
right equality women getting drafted my
00:05:33
daughters being forced to go into war in
00:05:37
the name of equality that's honoring
00:05:39
women are you kidding me sending women
00:05:42
to the slaughter is honoring women how
00:05:45
did that happen women suffrage that's
00:05:47
how women voting that's
00:05:51
how it
00:05:53
is so yeah if
00:05:55
if number one if only men could vote so
00:05:58
sta here's another statistic for for you
00:06:00
if only men could vote we didn't have
00:06:01
women's suffrage uh we would not have
00:06:03
one Democrat president in the last 50
00:06:06
years did you know
00:06:07
that not
00:06:11
one so no I don't think women uh should
00:06:14
vote and and it's not just because they
00:06:16
vote badly and they do again it's a
00:06:18
general rule so in the same way that
00:06:20
like in general men can bench press more
00:06:23
than women but there's a few women out
00:06:24
there that can bench press more than a
00:06:26
few men certainly of course I got that
00:06:29
it's a general rule okay so I already
00:06:30
gave the
00:06:31
disclaimer but in general because of
00:06:34
this rule um yeah in general men vote
00:06:37
better than women they do because men
00:06:40
are less prone to being deceived and
00:06:43
they're less
00:06:44
emotional and when it comes to
00:06:46
leadership being overly emotional is not
00:06:50
a virtue it's not right that that's the
00:06:53
problem with liberals right liberals the
00:06:55
old saying goes like this liberals
00:06:57
always think in terms of solutions
00:06:59
whereas conservatives think in terms of
00:07:01
cost or tradeoffs meaning when a
00:07:04
conservative hears of a problem and and
00:07:08
suggest a solution or hears of a
00:07:10
solution suggested he immediately thinks
00:07:12
of what's the
00:07:15
cost which is
00:07:17
maturity it recognizes again that we
00:07:19
don't live in a vacuum that we live in a
00:07:21
context and one decision over here may
00:07:23
alleviate this problem for this group of
00:07:25
people but cause another problem for
00:07:26
this other that's that's the way
00:07:28
conservatives think and guess what
00:07:30
statistically men more men are
00:07:33
conservatives so that's the way
00:07:35
conservatives think because that's the
00:07:36
way men think because that's the way men
00:07:38
were designed to think because that's
00:07:41
what men were called to do men were
00:07:43
called to make decisions for large
00:07:46
groups of people women are called to
00:07:49
make decisions for for the four cute
00:07:53
chubby Che people sitting in her
00:07:56
lap and so for them like what what does
00:07:59
a woman need if if she's going to be a
00:08:03
Godly mother and these kinds of what
00:08:05
what are some of the virtues and the
00:08:06
attributes like she needs compassion she
00:08:09
needs to be nourishing she needs to be
00:08:11
hospitable she needs to be uh patient
00:08:13
she needs to be like all the things that
00:08:15
women are because women are better than
00:08:17
men at a lot of things but the question
00:08:19
is what things are they better at and
00:08:22
and then what roles what tasks do those
00:08:24
virtues those strengths are are they
00:08:26
best suited for
00:08:30
you know so here's another way to say it
00:08:31
koni uh Brown Jackson right our new
00:08:34
Supreme Court Justice pick right she's
00:08:36
fully qualified because she's black and
00:08:38
a woman of course uh those were the only
00:08:40
qualifications that she met apparently
00:08:41
because the only qualifications that
00:08:43
were being sought after by our our great
00:08:45
President Joe Biden but she's now right
00:08:47
she's now sitting on the Supreme Court
00:08:49
and and one of the things conservatives
00:08:51
guys like Ted Cruz and other guys were
00:08:52
throwing at her and saying you're not
00:08:53
qualified you should not be on the
00:08:55
Supreme Court is is that she had very
00:08:58
light penalty
00:09:00
judgments rulings for child Predators
00:09:05
pedophiles
00:09:07
pedophiles and she would
00:09:09
always and and maybe not always many
00:09:12
times in many cases it wasn't just one
00:09:15
instance that many cases were brought up
00:09:17
where she gave the lightest sentence the
00:09:19
lightest penalty she possibly could to
00:09:22
the perpetrator why because that's the
00:09:25
guy who's standing in front of her not
00:09:26
the kids that he endangered that he
00:09:29
abused
00:09:29
but but the guy himself the criminal
00:09:31
he's the one who's standing before her
00:09:34
and she's a woman so what does she do
00:09:37
she exercises Mercy compassion which is
00:09:40
great in the home it's not great in the
00:09:44
civil magistrate because the civil
00:09:46
magistrate is not called it's not Romans
00:09:49
13 right God appointed the civil
00:09:51
magistrate and he equipped the civil
00:09:52
magistrate with warm
00:09:54
hugs no with a
00:09:57
sword so the question is who should bear
00:09:59
a sword I've heard some guys really
00:10:02
conservative guys and I would agree with
00:10:04
this they they've argued that well the
00:10:05
sword is a fallace and fallaces belong
00:10:08
to
00:10:10
men being a part of the Civil magist
00:10:12
even if you're not in a combat role in
00:10:14
the military or this or that just just
00:10:15
the role itself whether it's mayor or
00:10:17
Governor or city council or or Supreme
00:10:19
Court Justice the civil magistrate is it
00:10:22
is for men it is to make decisions not
00:10:26
just for individuals in your home such
00:10:27
as your children
00:10:29
but but rather to make decisions that
00:10:31
will hurt one group and help another
00:10:35
because we live in a fallen world we
00:10:37
live we don't we don't live in this
00:10:39
magical unicorn rainbow world that
00:10:41
liberals think we live in where it's
00:10:42
just Solutions oh people are poor so uh
00:10:45
Universal income no no we live in
00:10:48
reality right there are tradeoffs right
00:10:51
another famous saying um you know that
00:10:54
that you've probably heard before is
00:10:55
this um if uh if a man is not a a
00:11:00
liberal or if a person is not a liberal
00:11:02
whatever something like that if if if
00:11:03
you're not a liberal when you're young
00:11:05
you don't have a heart if you're not a
00:11:06
conservative when you're old you don't
00:11:08
have a head or a
00:11:10
brain there's a reason why young people
00:11:13
tend to vote Democrat and then those
00:11:15
same people as they get older not in
00:11:17
every case again just talking about
00:11:19
generalities but as you age you start to
00:11:21
vote conservative why well because when
00:11:23
you're young you just want Solutions and
00:11:27
you don't want to ever be a part of the
00:11:28
solution you just want to vote in such a
00:11:30
way that it forces somebody else to
00:11:31
solve this problem that you don't like
00:11:34
but when you're older here's one of the
00:11:36
things that you have when you're older
00:11:39
money so now that solution you're the
00:11:42
dude who it's taking taxes out of your
00:11:44
check you're the guy who actually has to
00:11:47
pay for that solution now when you're 60
00:11:50
versus when you're
00:11:51
20 so older people tend to be more
00:11:55
conservative and not just because oh you
00:11:57
know we've evolved as a culture yeah
00:11:59
there's there's plenty of Truth there
00:12:00
but it's not just like oh young people
00:12:02
it's it's just the way we're heading and
00:12:04
and and we're just always going to have
00:12:05
liberal people from now on the older
00:12:07
people that's just because they were
00:12:08
from a previous generation no no no
00:12:09
think about this for a second the Baby
00:12:11
Boomers the baby that's the 60s
00:12:15
generation Make Love Not
00:12:18
War that the Boomers who are voting for
00:12:22
Republicans are the 60s people who are
00:12:25
standing on the white White House lawn
00:12:29
holding signs you know and and
00:12:31
protesting everything and smoking
00:12:33
copious amounts of of marijuana and like
00:12:36
that's that's them it's the same it's
00:12:38
not two different groups of people it's
00:12:39
the same people they grew up they just
00:12:42
grew up it's the same people just the
00:12:44
people changed and part of what changed
00:12:46
them is maturity they grew up they grew
00:12:49
up and they begin to see different
00:12:51
things they begin to see it's not just
00:12:52
Solutions but there are trade-offs if we
00:12:54
do this that means that and I think in
00:12:58
general that comes with two factors
00:13:00
right because I'm kind of getting off a
00:13:01
little bit but let me bring it back I
00:13:02
think part of that comes with maturity
00:13:04
and age and part of it also comes with
00:13:07
testosterone I really think that I
00:13:09
really think that there is something
00:13:10
innate to being a male that allows again
00:13:14
general rule not each and every
00:13:16
individual but in general I think men
00:13:18
are able to pan out and remove
00:13:20
themselves from the
00:13:22
situation and not be geared or dictated
00:13:25
by their own emotions and look at the
00:13:27
bigger picture
00:13:29
I I I just think that that is a reality
00:13:31
so I think in experience in the way that
00:13:33
God designed men men have been made I
00:13:36
think to make decisions for others so no
00:13:38
I I don't want um I don't want
00:13:40
women uh voting and and making decisions
00:13:45
for the nation as a whole if if their
00:13:49
whole heart and mind another thing is
00:13:51
both men and women are called to work
00:13:53
right Titus Chapter 2 workers at home
00:13:55
women are called to work but in the home
00:13:57
keepers at home their Ministry is at
00:13:59
home so their their focus is towards
00:14:02
it's oriented in men are oriented out
00:14:06
we're looking out we're thinking out men
00:14:09
think about Society they think about
00:14:10
these kinds of things men just Men read
00:14:13
the news statistically more than than
00:14:15
women so they're also just more informed
00:14:18
not not just less vulnerable to being
00:14:19
deceived you know and their personality
00:14:21
and this kind of thing but like they
00:14:23
also just have more information because
00:14:25
they are tend to be more interested in
00:14:27
political matters and this and it's just
00:14:30
I I think it's blatantly obvious and
00:14:32
then you just throw the script the
00:14:33
scripture in the mix and then it's you
00:14:36
know case closed the the scripture I
00:14:39
think is very clear um that men are
00:14:41
called to lead societies and this idea
00:14:43
of the man is the head of his house well
00:14:46
what is society think about that what
00:14:48
that's what the question is getting at
00:14:49
and you did a great job Joshua because I
00:14:50
know you're thinking this and so good on
00:14:52
you but what is society but the sum of
00:14:55
individual households so we're going to
00:14:57
say men should be the leaders in their
00:14:59
homes but men and women can be leaders
00:15:02
in society Society is homes that's all
00:15:04
Society is society is just the summation
00:15:07
of
00:15:08
households so if if what if God says men
00:15:11
should be the head of their wives and
00:15:12
the head of their children in the home
00:15:14
but and in the church right with male
00:15:16
elders and I would argue for a male
00:15:17
diaconate from 1 Timothy chapter 3 like
00:15:20
if if men are called so the Bible
00:15:21
explicitly says men lead in the home of
00:15:23
the
00:15:25
church and then we're just going to say
00:15:27
well but the Bible's not explicit enough
00:15:29
for the marketplace or for uh the civil
00:15:32
magistrate or for like I don't think the
00:15:34
the Bible is super explicit on those
00:15:36
other Arenas because well I'll say it
00:15:39
like this for the same reason the
00:15:40
apostles did not find it necessary to
00:15:43
write a verse in the Bible to Christians
00:15:44
that says upon conversion continue to
00:15:47
inhale and exhale like in the same way
00:15:49
what I'm saying is in the same way the
00:15:50
apostles didn't find it necessary to
00:15:53
explicitly command us to breathe because
00:15:55
they felt like it went without saying I
00:15:57
think the apostles likewise
00:15:59
thought that it was quite obvious that
00:16:02
if men are called to lead in the church
00:16:03
and the home and the church and the home
00:16:05
is the Bedrock of society then obviously
00:16:09
men are called to lead in society as
00:16:12
well last thing I'll say is
00:16:14
this women suffrage um another reason
00:16:18
why I don't like it is it's not just
00:16:20
that women don't T tend in general to
00:16:23
not vote well which is true that that is
00:16:25
statistically proven women don't vote
00:16:28
well but in addition to women not voting
00:16:31
well um women's suffrage it the design
00:16:35
you can read some of the early feminists
00:16:37
and what they were trying to do they
00:16:39
wanted to break up the
00:16:41
household they wanted to turn women
00:16:43
against their husbands because this is
00:16:44
the last thing I'll say women always got
00:16:47
a vote in our nation's history Always by
00:16:51
proxy of their
00:16:52
husbands husbands voted not just on
00:16:55
behalf of themselves but historically in
00:16:59
our nation in America the husband was
00:17:01
offering he was putting forth the
00:17:03
household
00:17:04
vote wasn't just men's vote it was the
00:17:07
vote for men women and children that was
00:17:10
cast by the head of that household the
00:17:13
head of the household cast the household
00:17:15
vote and by bringing in women's suffrage
00:17:19
it it divided the
00:17:21
household and we have never seen the end
00:17:23
of that not yet I Believe by God's grace
00:17:28
A change is coming I believe that that
00:17:29
will end but as of now all we've seen of
00:17:32
that is bad fruit women's suffrage
00:17:34
didn't just mean women could vote and
00:17:36
that they might vote poorly but it also
00:17:38
meant that women could divide against
00:17:41
their husbands and that the household it
00:17:43
was no longer this is the vote of our
00:17:45
family but it became atomistic
00:17:49
individualistic right that the the the
00:17:51
the whole mindset of Americans began to
00:17:53
shift with women's suffrage and multiple
00:17:55
other factors as well but focusing on
00:17:57
that one it began to shift from from
00:17:59
households families Society Community to
00:18:05
individual individual individual me me
00:18:07
me just me we began to view ourselves as
00:18:11
individual auton autonomous people
00:18:15
rather than no we we we belong I I'm I'm
00:18:18
a member of a family I vote for my
00:18:22
family and and what shapes my vote is
00:18:24
the interest and the needs the
00:18:27
well-being of my family my wife my
00:18:29
children and I vote accordingly and I'm
00:18:32
listening to my wife she she does by
00:18:35
proxy get a vote because because my wife
00:18:38
has my ear and I I hear her voice I hear
00:18:42
her
00:18:43
concerns and all that is going into the
00:18:45
equation but when we cast our vote it's
00:18:47
our vote not my vote and her
00:18:50
vote and I really do think that women's
00:18:52
suffrage it it divided marriages it
00:18:56
split the
00:18:57
household um
00:18:59
and it brought women into a realm where
00:19:02
they they just they're simply not built
00:19:05
for
00:19:06
it and in the name of what women do best
00:19:09
good things good
00:19:11
things but compassion and nurturing and
00:19:15
kindness and all these things
00:19:19
um it brought good things that are good
00:19:22
in the right context into the wrong
00:19:25
context and the result has been
00:19:30
destruction wait wait wait real quick
