- 00:03:41like learned a lot hi have you actually
- 00:03:43learned a
- 00:03:44lot no which brings me to today's
- 00:03:47sponsor ground
- 00:03:49news no just joking for some reason that
- 00:03:51deal never came through here's why
- 00:03:53ground news sets me off I can't tell you
- 00:03:55how many times I've said this at least
- 00:03:57six but you've got to stop viewing the
- 00:03:59world through this Left Right Paradigm
- 00:04:01to begin with pigeon hauling things as
- 00:04:04left and right is to politics what the
- 00:04:05subtle art of not giving a [ __ ] is to
- 00:04:07Buddhism [ __ ] I got to stop lagging to
- 00:04:08Mark Manson he really doesn't deserve it
- 00:04:10I think it all just stems from me being
- 00:04:11in airports and looking at the books H
- 00:04:13why are you still on the bestsellers
- 00:04:15shelf I could go into why labeling
- 00:04:17things left and right as my biggest pet
- 00:04:18PE for an hour so we'll fast forward
- 00:04:20most of that to point out that even on
- 00:04:21the tin you know how people generally
- 00:04:23use these vague foggy concepts of left
- 00:04:26and right how dumb would you have to be
- 00:04:28to subscribe to the idea that gigantic
- 00:04:30multinational media corporations some of
- 00:04:33which are entirely owned by billionaires
- 00:04:34are leaning left cuz now there's an app
- 00:04:37for that people pay for that service
- 00:04:40that's just Financial domination I mean
- 00:04:42to call CNN leftwing to say that you
- 00:04:45would have to believe leftwing and
- 00:04:47right-wing are defined entirely by the
- 00:04:49way people speak about transgenders and
- 00:04:50immigrants but even then it gets a
- 00:04:52little blurry with the right immigrants
- 00:04:54and the right transgenders you see how
- 00:04:56these labels immediately cave in on
- 00:04:57themselves that's because I ology let
- 00:05:00alone ideological labels defined by a
- 00:05:03one or a zero are an inefficient and
- 00:05:05stupid framework to understand anything
- 00:05:07I much prefer a political Compass to
- 00:05:09understand the nuances of the world cuz
- 00:05:11we all know that there are definitely
- 00:05:12more than two things but five things
- 00:05:16that seems to be pushing it let's settle
- 00:05:18for
- 00:05:19four down here the truth will fit you
- 00:05:24free I'm not even being factious when I
- 00:05:27say astrology would be a far more
- 00:05:28complex and multi a way of analyzing
- 00:05:30articles whether you believe it or not I
- 00:05:32mean I personally do but even if you
- 00:05:35don't at least astrology has you
- 00:05:36thinking about 12 possibilities way more
- 00:05:39for including birth charts MSNBC was
- 00:05:42created in July a bookish cancer no
- 00:05:45wonder Trump erratic Gemini energy rubs
- 00:05:47them the wrong way well come on that is
- 00:05:49way more complicated than left wing
- 00:05:51versus rightwing they're completely
- 00:05:53subjective terms you can tell because
- 00:05:55whenever their target audience redditors
- 00:05:58start labeling something as left or
- 00:05:59right right inevitably and immediately
- 00:06:01the thread will devolve into a smug off
- 00:06:03of Bro think that's left wing these
- 00:06:07words are deliberately nebulous
- 00:06:09perpetuated by the propaganda model to
- 00:06:11give off the illusion that there is this
- 00:06:12Grand ideological battle taking place
- 00:06:14between the major media outlets in
- 00:06:16reality all that's happening is a grand
- 00:06:19battle between slightly different
- 00:06:21business interests that's the true Grand
- 00:06:23culture War taking place whose stock
- 00:06:25prices are going to be pumped Disney or
- 00:06:27Teslas they mask that fight with these
- 00:06:29ever shifting buzzword that are
- 00:06:31essentially just a reflection of what's
- 00:06:32culturally currently fashionable it's
- 00:06:34the exact design of how propaganda in
- 00:06:37the west works so really ground news
- 00:06:39should be advertising that can't be
- 00:06:41bothered to even put in the lazy
- 00:06:42dismissive terms who've been socially
- 00:06:44conditioned to automatically fire off
- 00:06:46we'll do it for you and I'm not even
- 00:06:47being derisive in labeling media as
- 00:06:49propaganda this is just another part of
- 00:06:51the propaganda model they changed the
- 00:06:53term propaganda from a neutral to
- 00:06:56negative one so that only certain
- 00:06:58Outlets are given the self-anointed
- 00:07:00Prestige of being objective nothing's
- 00:07:03[ __ ] objective nothing it's very
- 00:07:05important to remember that propaganda
- 00:07:07comes from the Latin word propagar to
- 00:07:09spread to disseminate it means spreading
- 00:07:12an idea this is why when people pretend
- 00:07:14like it's some mad Expos to say friendly
- 00:07:16thought is
- 00:07:18propaganda no [ __ ] everything that
- 00:07:20anyone says ever is propaganda when you
- 00:07:23talk that's propaganda I make propaganda
- 00:07:27this whole Channel's propaganda every
- 00:07:29piece of media that you will ever
- 00:07:30consume in your life including your
- 00:07:32mom's Facebook post about how proud she
- 00:07:34is of you on your birthday is propaganda
- 00:07:37the only propaganda you should be
- 00:07:39concerned by is that which is either too
- 00:07:41stupid to recognize that it is
- 00:07:42propaganda or too sinister to reveal
- 00:07:44that it is propaganda or worse of Both
- 00:07:47Worlds like the traditional press
- 00:07:49genuinely thinks that it's impartial
- 00:07:51objective unbiased truth standing as a
- 00:07:54rail guard against propaganda really the
- 00:07:56actual difference between me and most
- 00:07:57other people in both the mainstream and
- 00:07:59New Media spheres is I don't pretend to
- 00:08:01be a robot I'm not trying to con you
- 00:08:03into this idea that I'm this neutral
- 00:08:05Arbiter of truth plus I try not to lie
- 00:08:09which is more than you can say about
- 00:08:10many of these other outlets but I'm
- 00:08:12certainly not neutral saying that
- 00:08:14however is very different to how the
- 00:08:16public has been trained to interpret
- 00:08:17that which is oh he's not neutral
- 00:08:20therefore he is insert meaningless
- 00:08:21phrase masquerading as a consistent
- 00:08:23ideology I will never claim to be a
- 00:08:25conservative Progressive Anarchist
- 00:08:27fascist communist
- 00:08:29well maybe I'm a magga communist cuz
- 00:08:31guess what all those labels Define
- 00:08:33nothing without a ton of qualifying
- 00:08:35sentences that usually collapse in on
- 00:08:37themselves and even when they are
- 00:08:39they're usually weaponized to pull
- 00:08:40political discussion out of reality and
- 00:08:42into the magic world where ideologies
- 00:08:44are Yu-Gi-Oh cards for adults all that
- 00:08:46being said I am completely and utterly
- 00:08:49biased because everyone is but thanks to
- 00:08:52the work of some clever thinkers from
- 00:08:53the 20th century namely reporter Walter
- 00:08:55Litman the key figure in propagating the
- 00:08:57[ __ ] concept of journalist
- 00:08:59objectivity everyone has been
- 00:09:01conditioned to think that someone being
- 00:09:03honest about the fact that they're
- 00:09:04biased is somehow dishonest we'll go
- 00:09:07into Litman soon but first let me fess
- 00:09:10up and give you my bias delish and I
- 00:09:13love it in the simplest terms I guess my
- 00:09:15bias is that I generally support workers
- 00:09:17parties over their corporate backed
- 00:09:19opposition and I'm pragmatic
- 00:09:21unfortunately I don't think a Vanguard
- 00:09:23of 300 neurod Divergent Stoners is going
- 00:09:25to have what it takes to undermine
- 00:09:26Australia's oligarchs I also don't think
- 00:09:28that a few independent backed by a
- 00:09:29different faction of oligarchs are our
- 00:09:31shining saviors and frankly my bias
- 00:09:34can't fit into this meaningless
- 00:09:36ideological vent because I don't care
- 00:09:38about ideology I care about outcomes I
- 00:09:42care about what is materially delivered
- 00:09:44to the public not what someone labels
- 00:09:46themselves see look at that I did what
- 00:09:48ground news does for free but because I
- 00:09:50have the decency to tell my audience
- 00:09:51where I'm coming from I'm not a good
- 00:09:53source but a complete liar talking
- 00:09:55monotonously claiming to be neutral
- 00:09:57that's a good source bias is purely
- 00:10:00aesthetic a weapon to legitimize and
- 00:10:02delegitimize People based not on reality
- 00:10:05but a feeling don't trust people who
- 00:10:07tell you not to consume a type of media
- 00:10:10because it's biased everything is almost
- 00:10:12all information is disseminated for a
- 00:10:14reason with a multitude of motivations
- 00:10:16and interests behind that discrimination
- 00:10:18and if you want to understand the world
- 00:10:19it helps by getting somewhat decent at
- 00:10:21identifying some of those reasons but if
- 00:10:23you're still only capable of operating
- 00:10:25on buzzword that are currently in Vogue
- 00:10:26on Twitter my dude you know some media
- 00:10:29literacy anyone that unironically uses
- 00:10:32the phrase media literacy is definitely
- 00:10:34media literate no one's immune to
- 00:10:36propaganda apart from Joe Rogan maybe
- 00:10:39Lex fredman and you won't ever be 100%
- 00:10:42accurate but trust me you can do better
- 00:10:44yourself without the aid of a scammed
- 00:10:45YouTube sponsor you know how by an
- 00:10:48old-fashioned technique known as reading
- 00:10:50and thinking about it a little bit I
- 00:10:51hate to go all undergrad classic Jordi
- 00:10:53circuit 2015 and recommend chomsky's
- 00:10:56propaganda model especially now as I'm
- 00:10:58much more into the synthesis of Michael
- 00:11:00penti and Donald Trump's media
- 00:11:01criticisms y as I said earlier I'm Mega
- 00:11:05communist the only person the fake news
- 00:11:07media has been more unfair to than Trump
- 00:11:09is slobad mosovich make Yugoslavia great
- 00:11:12again still no chomsky's propaganda
- 00:11:14model is a pretty simple and far bitter
- 00:11:16way to understand what you're reading
- 00:11:17the ground news and best of all it
- 00:11:19doesn't require a monthly subscription
- 00:11:21unless that's what you suckers want
- 00:11:22subscribe to my patreon where I'll be
- 00:11:24uploading the same picture of ch's
- 00:11:25propaganda model every month I'm telling
- 00:11:27you you can get a far more sophisticated
- 00:11:29understanding of the interest behind use
- 00:11:30from one [ __ ] infographic with this
- 00:11:32model to get a broad understanding of
- 00:11:34the motivations behind media you look at
- 00:11:36five filters information goes through
- 00:11:38before it gets to you you look at who
- 00:11:39owns the outlet which to be fair and
- 00:11:41balanced ground use does and I do like
- 00:11:43that feature I also like how it shows
- 00:11:45you your media consumption habits that
- 00:11:47all right I'll stop angling for a
- 00:11:49sponsorship but then you look at the
- 00:11:50outlets advertising incentives the
- 00:11:52sources the outlet relies upon are they
- 00:11:54relying on Elite sources egpr firms and
- 00:11:56think tanks Etc the next filter is Flack
- 00:11:58which is is basically fear of getting
- 00:12:00sued losing sources being prosecuted for
- 00:12:02publishing leaked documents and just
- 00:12:03straight up cowardice to do what is
- 00:12:05needed to get stories then finally right
- 00:12:07at the end the final filter the only
- 00:12:09other filter which ground news kind of
- 00:12:10accounts for Chomsky originally labeled
- 00:12:12anti-communism which is basically the
- 00:12:13tendency to put up Social as
- 00:12:15fearmongering spin on any story relating
- 00:12:17to the US's Cold War enemies that
- 00:12:19shifted to anti-terrorism in the 2000s
- 00:12:21but now this filter can be more broadly
- 00:12:23described as ideology which is really
- 00:12:26just code for the press's boogeyman
- 00:12:28shifting from an ex enemy to groups
- 00:12:30within your own society that you
- 00:12:31personally find annoying this is
- 00:12:33basically why ground news has been able
- 00:12:34to eek out a business model because no
- 00:12:36longer are the Press on an
- 00:12:37anti-communism Unity ticket the broadly
- 00:12:40superficial distinctions between
- 00:12:41mainstream media Outlets became
- 00:12:43comically stratified pretty much due to
- 00:12:45Trump derangement syndrome a phenomenon
- 00:12:47which has many explanations in of itself
- 00:12:49but I'd say is mainly to do with class
- 00:12:51Dynamics and social views
- 00:12:53realigning to put simply the rich
- 00:12:55becoming libtards Christopher lash's
- 00:12:57Revolt of the elites offers a decent
- 00:12:58explan but I won't go into that today
- 00:13:00for more on that you'll need to
- 00:13:01subscribe to my libtard aggregator that
- 00:13:04puts a little bar on everything online
- 00:13:06ranking everything from cringe to based
- 00:13:08Elon Musk changing his name on Twitter
- 00:13:10to kius Maximus o off the scales based
- 00:13:15so [ __ ] cool that I think we need a
- 00:13:17new label guys dark Gothic based I'm not
- 00:13:20just magger I'm dark Gothic
- 00:13:24Maga that man should never be allowed
- 00:13:26near a microphone but returning to my
- 00:13:28original point basically beginning in
- 00:13:30the mid-20s they started replacing the
- 00:13:32unifying enemies of terrorism and
- 00:13:34communism with liberal Outlets decreeing
- 00:13:36that the enemy is Trump white man Jan
- 00:13:386ers in Russia and the conservative
- 00:13:40Outlets decreeing that the enemy is
- 00:13:41unsexy M&M's characters are wearing like
- 00:13:44sexy boots and now because women matter
- 00:13:47and women in leadership are so important
- 00:13:49we're going to put them in frumpy flat
- 00:13:51sold shoes and we all know who's more
- 00:13:54right I mean they're called right for a
- 00:13:56reason I also think this is kind of why
- 00:13:58this really pentious myth that the news
- 00:14:01and journalism developed as this sort of
- 00:14:02altruistic Venture and only recently
- 00:14:04devolved into its current state due to
- 00:14:06the Public's waning attention spans and
- 00:14:08desire for sensationalist partisanship
- 00:14:10like come on how often have you heard
- 00:14:12some variation of you see the news used
- 00:14:15to just be about giving people the facts
- 00:14:17no it didn't it never [ __ ] was ever
- 00:14:20it was always the same just with more
- 00:14:22pictures of the Irish being depicted as
- 00:14:24AES donkey come
- 00:14:29the news and media have always been
- 00:14:31tools of competing domestic political
- 00:14:32interests the first newspapers ever in
- 00:14:34the United States were completely
- 00:14:35partisan and arose to support the two
- 00:14:37political parties and good that is way
- 00:14:40better they were honest about it there
- 00:14:43was the Federalists and the Democratic
- 00:14:45Republicans maybe ground news would have
- 00:14:47been useful back then L yank doodle Lan
- 00:14:51yellow bell it was the same in Australia
- 00:14:52when newspapers overtly supported and
- 00:14:54campaign for pro bus parties I mean they
- 00:14:56still do but for some reason we're now
- 00:14:58being told that we need an app to see
- 00:14:59that in addition to standard corporate
- 00:15:01papers though and this is the only
- 00:15:03reason that the news was better back
- 00:15:04then is you had union-backed papers to
- 00:15:07balance the endless corporate propaganda
- 00:15:09out like the labor daily fortunately now
- 00:15:12unions only have YouTubers the reason
- 00:15:15people think that the media used to be
- 00:15:16unbiased was again look at the
- 00:15:18propaganda model in the latter half of
- 00:15:20the 20th century the tone of the US
- 00:15:22press was uncharacteristically
- 00:15:23restrained and unified against the
- 00:15:25commies this was in large part due to
- 00:15:27the work of Walter Litman Litman was a
- 00:15:28reporter who really paved the way for
- 00:15:30how Western media began to function in
- 00:15:31the 20th century in fact he is known as
- 00:15:34the father of modern journalism this is
- 00:15:36the m mind of it all his 1922 book
- 00:15:39public opinion basically set out some
- 00:15:41fundamentally anti-democratic beliefs
- 00:15:43about most people not being smart enough
- 00:15:44to understand politics labeling the
- 00:15:46masses as a bewildered herd which is
- 00:15:49true but I'm not too keen on litman's
- 00:15:52solution of getting blind and crippled
- 00:15:53water buffal I.E journalists to lead
- 00:15:56this bewildered herd Litman was the man
- 00:15:58who coined the phrase the manufacturer
- 00:15:59of consent but unlike Chomsky he wasn't
- 00:16:01using it derisively he believed it's
- 00:16:04what was needed in a Democratic Society
- 00:16:06to align the actions of the elites and
- 00:16:08Mass public opinion with what he
- 00:16:09believed was the public interest as
- 00:16:11dictated by specialized experts
- 00:16:13Christopher lash distills litman's views
- 00:16:15in the book Revolt of the elites again
- 00:16:17if you can't tell this is my subtle art
- 00:16:19of not giving a [ __ ] it changed my life
- 00:16:21a complex industrial society required a
- 00:16:23government carried on by officials who
- 00:16:25would necessarily be guided since any
- 00:16:28form of direct democ Ry was now possible
- 00:16:30either by public opinion or expert
- 00:16:31knowledge public opinion was unreliable
- 00:16:34because it could be united only by an
- 00:16:36appeal to slogans and symbolic pictures
- 00:16:39so let been solution control public
- 00:16:41opinion better align it with the experts
- 00:16:45one way of working towards this goal was
- 00:16:47making journalism boring as I pointed
- 00:16:49out earlier Litman was the pioneer of
- 00:16:51journalistic objectivity rejecting the
- 00:16:53exciting sensationalism of yellow
- 00:16:55journalism and popularizing what we have
- 00:16:57to deal with today which is fake boring
- 00:16:59objectivity the implications for
- 00:17:01controlling the public with this change
- 00:17:02should be obvious using the Spectre of
- 00:17:04objectivity is far more effective in
- 00:17:06achieving popular support for something
- 00:17:07that usually may be unpalatable it's
- 00:17:09also how the ABC are able to get away
- 00:17:11with making nothing good ever oh it's
- 00:17:14super boring with no style must be
- 00:17:16accurate and chomsky's criticism of how
- 00:17:18this obviously ends up favoring big
- 00:17:19powerful institutions who have a
- 00:17:20monopoly on information a pretty
- 00:17:22self-apparent there is a very high ideal
- 00:17:26that's uh celebrated by the especially
- 00:17:29the elite media and that's to maintain
- 00:17:34objectivity objectivity has a very
- 00:17:36definite meaning in media culture it
- 00:17:38means repeating accurately anything
- 00:17:41that's said within the Beltway if you do
- 00:17:44that it's objective if you go beyond
- 00:17:47that it's biased subjective you know
- 00:17:50emotional and so on and so forth now
- 00:17:53there's another concept reality so
- 00:17:55lian's model of public control via the
- 00:17:57media was largely adopted in the west
- 00:17:59yet the experts that the media defers to
- 00:18:01aren't necessarily experts they're just
- 00:18:04Elites ready for me to reinforce a book
- 00:18:06I haven't yet stolen enough from say the
- 00:18:08line J's in Revolt of the
- 00:18:12elite Christopher lash was also very
- 00:18:14critical about how this new style
- 00:18:16coincided with the professionalization
- 00:18:17of politics and how it discouraged Mass
- 00:18:19public participation to democracy by
- 00:18:21treating public debate as a Nuance a
- 00:18:23hindrance to getting to the truth not an
- 00:18:25essential part of democracy according to
- 00:18:26lash to liman the scope of public
- 00:18:28accordingly has to be severely
- 00:18:30restricted at best public debate was a
- 00:18:32disagreeable necessity not the very
- 00:18:34essence of democracy but its primary
- 00:18:37defect which arose only because exact
- 00:18:39knowledge unfortunately was in limited
- 00:18:41Supply and you can still see these
- 00:18:43Tendencies amongst the established medor
- 00:18:44and political class today I mean even a
- 00:18:46lot of opposition to Trump wasn't rooted
- 00:18:48in substance and policy differences
- 00:18:50rather the displeasure of the political
- 00:18:52class being forc to hear unsavory ideas
- 00:18:54from the Trump Brigade it's where this
- 00:18:56whole factchecking and content
- 00:18:57moderation Trend got start I mean twitch
- 00:19:00debate Lords might all be pedos but at
- 00:19:01least they're increasing participation
- 00:19:03in democracy however with the fact that
- 00:19:06they exist requires another filter to
- 00:19:09chomsky's Model A filter which is
- 00:19:11particularly applicable to the New Media
- 00:19:13landscape and that filter is audience
- 00:19:16capture and that's the kind of
- 00:19:17memeification of ideas to the extent
- 00:19:19that you are financially disincentivized
- 00:19:21from offering views the cter the online
- 00:19:23mean I.E people that are very happy to
- 00:19:25perpetuate lies and myths as long as it
- 00:19:27fits in with the lies and myths that
- 00:19:28make Their audience feel correct like
- 00:19:30for instance I make videos that I know
- 00:19:32will be unpopular with my audience
- 00:19:33before I publish them and I frequently
- 00:19:37get proven right I do this knowing that
- 00:19:38there are easy positions that you can
- 00:19:40take and things that you can say that
- 00:19:41really boost your presence in the
- 00:19:43algorithm but all that ever does is
- 00:19:44reward group think you offer a nice
- 00:19:47feeling when all you ever say is all
- 00:19:48politicians are corrupt but you watching
- 00:19:51my content you're saying through the
- 00:19:53Matrix people never have to deal with
- 00:19:55cognitive dissonance their own position
- 00:19:56and perhaps moral failings in the world
- 00:19:58if you make them feel simultaneously
- 00:20:00like they're a victim and a hero by
- 00:20:02watching your media laying the blame of
- 00:20:04all the bad in the world to an
- 00:20:05omnipotent and unitary political class
- 00:20:07but you know why that is because that
- 00:20:09frame was fed to you by the unitary
- 00:20:13media class this [ __ ] the government
- 00:20:16frame that is the essence of the western
- 00:20:18propaganda model yes to use an
- 00:20:20Australian example even if the Liberals
- 00:20:22are in and you n is watching Sky News
- 00:20:24they're getting liberals on to talk
- 00:20:25about we we've had a ler focus on
- 00:20:27getting rid of all this red tape that is
- 00:20:29holding back Australian businesses
- 00:20:31Andrew yes see this is what's so
- 00:20:33refreshing to have a government in power
- 00:20:35that's there just to kill itself off to
- 00:20:37the point before descending into Mad Max
- 00:20:39Thunderdome in the west government
- 00:20:41tyranny is framed eternally as the
- 00:20:44biggest enemy because government
- 00:20:45regulates corporations and corporations
- 00:20:48run the press if you were in China
- 00:20:50corporate tyranny would eternally be the
- 00:20:52enemy because the government runs the
- 00:20:54press and the new media class seems to
- 00:20:56be completely oblivious to the fact that
- 00:20:57they have adopted that framing without
- 00:20:59even knowing that they have because they
- 00:21:01grew up in that toilet water and have
- 00:21:03never questioned what that water is once
- 00:21:06Roger Al the inaugural CEO of Fox News
- 00:21:08The Man Who probably first best
- 00:21:10exploited this phenomenon once stated
- 00:21:12people don't want to be informed they
- 00:21:14want to feel informed and ironically
- 00:21:16that is the exact Service ground news
- 00:21:18offers they don't inform you at all
- 00:21:20about real bias they provide you with
- 00:21:22the illusion the warm feeling that your
- 00:21:24media literate the ground news founder
- 00:21:27even says as much we wanted to create a
- 00:21:30product that even if you spend a few
- 00:21:32minutes a day that you can get your wrap
- 00:21:34your head around comp complex new
- 00:21:36stories and leave feeling more informed
- 00:21:39feeling more informed Founders words all
- 00:21:42the Hallmarks of a scan product just
- 00:21:44like the shake weight you only need to
- 00:21:46use it for a few minutes a day to feel
- 00:21:48the difference insane I'm sorry it takes
- 00:21:50more than a few minutes a day to
- 00:21:51decipher even one current event I'd say
- 00:21:54it takes
- 00:21:55exactly whatever the number here is to
- 00:21:58get a decent enough rund down on the
- 00:21:59topic but if this hasn't convinced you
- 00:22:02gr news is a scam legit com man Patrick
- 00:22:05Bet David offers an identical product
- 00:22:07same little bars at everything actually
- 00:22:09I take it all back if there's one person
- 00:22:10to provide the only clear escape from
- 00:22:12The Matrix it's Patrick B David check
- 00:22:15this out you got this painting that I
- 00:22:17worked on and commissioned Brent Hill
- 00:22:20you see me in here and the blue then we
- 00:22:23have Senna iron Senna then is Tupac the
- 00:22:26shiran Lincoln Kennedy Einstein bunch of
- 00:22:30different hidden messages in there ah
- 00:22:32let me see if I could decipher some of
- 00:22:34these hidden messages is one of them
- 00:22:36perhaps that Patrick Beck David thinks
- 00:22:37sh Resa palavi and Tupac are up there in
- 00:22:40intellectual weight with Einstein who
- 00:22:43the [ __ ] thinks that M okay empty chair
- 00:22:46and they're debating two books Atlas
- 00:22:48Shrug and communist Manifest this is my
- 00:22:50thinking room if I want to think I come
- 00:22:52here I close up and I start thinking
- 00:22:53thinking room I'd say it's off the
- 00:22:56charts narcissistic to paint yourself
- 00:22:58with the world's greatest thinkers but a
- 00:23:01Formula 1 racer a dead rapper a fairly
- 00:23:05inconsequential Monarch debating the
- 00:23:07great intellectual books of all time
- 00:23:10which apparently is a fantasy book
- 00:23:12literally it's literally a work of
- 00:23:14fiction and not even KL Marx's most
- 00:23:16detailed work basically a pamphlet he
- 00:23:19printed it's all a bit cryptic but I
- 00:23:21think I figured out another hidden
- 00:23:23message one of the books is rightwing
- 00:23:25and the other book is leftwing the grand
- 00:23:28news of paintings especially because KL
- 00:23:30Marx isn't present to discuss KL Marx
- 00:23:33but Milton fredman is [ __ ] even
- 00:23:37chomsky's infographic nothing on that
- 00:23:40pictures worth a thousand words Patrick
- 00:23:42B David's tribute to his own genius
- 00:23:44really is exactly how the propaganda
- 00:23:46model Works my only issues are where is
- 00:23:50Annoying Orange and why isn't Rich Dad
- 00:23:53Poor Dad in there to represent centrism
- 00:23:55in the books they're debating lesson of
- 00:23:57the video unless you're as much of a
- 00:23:59thinker as Patrick B David the
- 00:24:01complexity of ground users analysis will
- 00:24:03go over your head and will be of no use
- 00:24:06to you I think I'm well read I think I'm
- 00:24:09well spoken I think I'm well above
- 00:24:11average it is important to me to carry
- 00:24:13myself in a manner where people are
- 00:24:15going to say you know what he knows what
