- 00:00:00welcome everybody to Dad's Gone crypto it's an exciting episode especially for us because
- 00:00:07uh there's an exciting project out there that's potentially a disruptor in the industry and uh we
- 00:00:13have Josh Watkins CEO of minutes um and he's going to explain to us what his company's about how is
- 00:00:21it changing the game in the telecommunication space we talk about crypto projects then we're
- 00:00:27talking about real world projects changing the game and leveraging the blockchain technology
- 00:00:32to take it to that next level Josh welcome to Dad's Gone crypto we're very excited to have you
- 00:00:39thank you very much for having me Sean Ryan it's a pleasure to be here today great to have you thanks
- 00:00:45fantastic so Josh tell us a little bit about your background and how did it lead you to this point
- 00:00:52in time where now you have a crypto company and a real world business and you're merging the two
- 00:00:58technologies tell us a bit about how you got here today so I've spent the last 20 years engaged in
- 00:01:05telecommunications activities we've been building different types of switches we've been working on
- 00:01:10different compressions for different codecs extending the existing Voiceover IP protocol
- 00:01:15we've worked with big names small names Niche names Enterprises I mean we've practically
- 00:01:20been all over the globe taking care of different telecommunications operations uh it was a family
- 00:01:26run business me and my brother Mickey we started when uh well when I was very young and and Mickey
- 00:01:31was younger um and and we've never looked back it was something that was very um pleasing and and
- 00:01:36to do and we have a lot of passion when it comes to to telecommunications it's a it's a real live
- 00:01:42model that allows you to sort of um get involved with with some of the big names as long as you
- 00:01:47know you have Innovative Technologies and you have Solutions uh you know people in the industry
- 00:01:52carriers especially the tier one sort of giants out there they're looking to innovate consistently
- 00:01:58they're always looking for new Solutions and ways to adapt and and grow their own businesses and
- 00:02:04and profit margins so it's it's a really exciting business it's something that I'm very passionate
- 00:02:09about and all of my knowledge over the last 20 years and and experience and connections have
- 00:02:14sort of boiled into one company and and yeah I mean here we are today minutes Network and we're
- 00:02:20doing something very exciting and uh very very new to the industry so I'm I'm pleased to be here yeah
- 00:02:28thanks Josh it's great to have you on here so can you give us um a breakdown of what minutes
- 00:02:32network is in layman's terms so what we do our primary focuses on the busino business market
- 00:02:40and we're working on a solution that's live now to reinvigorate carrier core profitability and
- 00:02:46when we say core profitability it's all about increasing the margin that we make um on on
- 00:02:53carriers cors okay so right now if a carrier has a a certain amount of customers those customers make
- 00:02:59paid for telephone calls and usually what happens is the paid for telephone call is connected
- 00:03:04through a series of wholesale partners and intermediaries in between it's you know the cool
- 00:03:10destination and each one of those intermediaries takes a cut on the co um on on the revenue made
- 00:03:17in the call and um we we're increasing the profit for the carrier by removing all of those middlemen
- 00:03:25from the picture and terminating the call in a brand new way w fantastic very cool do you have
- 00:03:31uh like a visual or anything you could bring up to kind of show that absolutely so we have a network
- 00:03:36topology diagram here this is a very high level diagram and as you can see we receive calls from
- 00:03:44tier one carriers tier 2 carriers as well and those calls are coming from the pstn the public
- 00:03:50switching telephony Network and they are regular telecommunication subscribers they're people who
- 00:03:56pay a subscription every month for a SIM card and they use that SIM card to make calls to
- 00:04:01their family to their friends to businesses um to to different you know different facilities that
- 00:04:06are available to to to make calls to so what we do is we onboard these companies and we do that in a
- 00:04:13very special way um every single VI um provider out there or um physical infrastructure provider
- 00:04:21for telephony they have a rates list to their destination so let's say that their customers make
- 00:04:26a call to Algeria for example that that call has a select rate in the market and they have something
- 00:04:33called a least cost rooting table LCR and this least cost routing table allows the carrier to
- 00:04:40select the cheapest lowest cost route to the customer's destination possible automatically
- 00:04:46and it's selected by price and quality and the lowest price carrier will be selected first to try
- 00:04:53to make the customers call and complete it to the recipient the LCR is a Solution that's been around
- 00:05:01for a very long time and it allows c um carriers to always try to maximize their profit margins on
- 00:05:08all of their customers calls now minutes network will always sit at the top of the LCR because of
- 00:05:14our lowest cost model and we'll get into how we provide the lowest cost very shortly so we attract
- 00:05:21telephone companies to minutes Network by offering a very low cost rate and we're able to do that
- 00:05:27using our proprietary technology that we spent a lot of the last five to six years uh working on
- 00:05:33which is a combination of all of my experience in the industry uh putting putting it to work so what
- 00:05:39happens is these telephone companies they connect with us they send a call to minutes Network
- 00:05:44minutes Network receives the call on a carrier level a carrier grade switch and the call is
- 00:05:50forwarded to the validation nodes the validation nodes are responsible to check the end point that
- 00:05:58receives the call the call re recipient if the end point and and we'll get into this very shortly if
- 00:06:04the end point is in a sufficient coverage area and the bandwidth is deemed to be you know appropriate
- 00:06:12for that call to be delivered the call is then forwarded um along to the switch nodes and the
- 00:06:19switch nodes will make the call directly to the end user bypassing all intermediaries all middle
- 00:06:27wholesalers and this is how we select our cost so we set our own cost at minutes Network price
- 00:06:34per minute normally you know in the industry it's build per minute um it's second Toc billing they
- 00:06:41call it minutes as as you know far as terminology goes in the industry and and we're able to set our
- 00:06:46own price and we're able to do that because we terminate the call directly to an end user we
- 00:06:53don't tradition we don't use traditional uh Co methodologies to actually terminate that call
- 00:07:00we land the call on an existing application on the user's telephone and in this way we we do
- 00:07:08a whole uh load of different um things that allow us to to be um extremely competitive with pricing
- 00:07:15and we we're able to set our own price as I said which gives the carrier more incentive to use us
- 00:07:20to send the call so we collect all the volume from the carrier top of the LCR with the lowest price
- 00:07:25and all because we're Landing the call directly on the user telephone via an existing application wow
- 00:07:33incredible so Josh a follow-up question on that right so you become a provider one of let's say
- 00:07:3910 10 providers um so price is is is great and you know telome Talco companies want to maximize
- 00:07:47profits great but how do you ensure the quality that that you on top of the list on price but
- 00:07:54also on top of the list on quality of call to that particular recipient so we use a special
- 00:08:01technology that we've developed in house and it's compatible with the switch nodes it's actually
- 00:08:06part of the the technology that the switch and validation nodes run and we do some bandwidth
- 00:08:12checks we check latency we check the Jitter on the line we check for um it's a it's a custom
- 00:08:17call Signature and we do some benchmarking on the end users's connection and if the validation
- 00:08:23node deems that the connection is successfully sufficient to make this call and the customer can
- 00:08:28receive the call we go ahead and pass the call forward to the customer if the validation node
- 00:08:34deems that the internet connection of the end user is not sufficient to terminate this call
- 00:08:39and connect this call then we reject the call along this line here and we send it back to the
- 00:08:45telephone company where they rout it to the next routing line in their least cost routing table
- 00:08:52okay all right thus ensuring that you've always giving and delivering a good quality call if not
- 00:08:59it's gets passed back to the other operators that's correct and all of that process happens
- 00:09:04in under 200 milliseconds that's incredible so Josh uh Ryan and I big fans obviously with the
- 00:09:11world mobile we've we've been around for a while you know trying to understand their play what are
- 00:09:17they doing but how does World mobile traditionally differ from what you are doing is it the same
- 00:09:24did you just Branch off and and and focus in one Niche area is there perhaps a correlation uh or a
- 00:09:32Synergy of companies later on we're very symbiotic to worldmobile we provide solutions that world
- 00:09:39mobile need for their end customers World mobile are connecting the unconnected they're providing
- 00:09:45Data Solutions to those who don't currently have internet and to areas that are just not covered
- 00:09:50by existing telephony operators and at minutes Network we're absolutely focused on The Voice
- 00:09:57part of the industry and in the voice segment of of telecommunications we are able to provide World
- 00:10:04mobile with significantly lower costs on their customers termination on the customers voice uh
- 00:10:10calls that are originated from the network and we're able to provide World mobile with a um
- 00:10:15solution for their customers to make uh calls at a much lower cost compared to competing operators
- 00:10:22for example in the USA where World mobile own spectrum and and licensed for an M um we're able
- 00:11:29ation termination and they have a a flaw rate let's say that's set by the competing operators
- 00:11:36okay so in any Market there's a minimum rate that can be charged in any country minutes networks
- 00:11:42set their own rate we're able to create our own rate because we own our own infrastructure and
- 00:11:47we do not require licenses in the countries that we want to terminate because in the majority of
- 00:11:52countries voice over IP is not regulated now we connect to the telecommunication carrier on
- 00:12:00the protocol called sip session initiation protocol it's an Enterprise level protocol
- 00:12:06extremely compatible and you'll find that most traditional Enterprises today probably
- 00:12:11all traditional Enterprises today working in the voice telecommunications field are are using sip
- 00:12:17to terminate calls digitally so we're using a sip switch to connect to our customers okay now
- 00:12:25how does minutes make money from this and like do the switch node and validator nodes play a role
- 00:12:31in in all this and and is that how they earn yes so what happens is the Telco sends us telephone
- 00:12:39calls we connect those telephone calls to their end recipient destinations via the switch nodes
- 00:12:46with the valid the help of the validation nodes in terms of um checking that the recipient is able
- 00:12:51to receive the call and is online and you know isn't at the uh the cafe with a weak internet
- 00:12:56connection and because we're able to set our own rates and because we we work with um we we work in
- 00:13:03a brand new proprietary model for Co termination then we're able to keep all of the revenue that
- 00:13:10comes in from the carrier we are not riant upon a terminating partner because normally in in a call
- 00:13:16termination model you have the originator who is making the call and you have the termination
- 00:13:22partner who is terminating the call to its recipient and in our model we do not require
- 00:13:28we we have no requirement to pay the termination provider because we are the termination provider
- 00:13:33so we collect 100% of revenue from the originating carer and we keep that revenue on board and it
- 00:13:40becomes part of our sharing economy so Josh tell me with regards to your notes you have switch inv
- 00:13:46validators and those are are they are they truly decentralized and is there a point in the system
- 00:13:54that it can be hacked I know you're offering a feature that that when you stake your tokens to
- 00:14:00either 50,000 minutes or um 10,000 Minutes for the validator that you guys will run the nodes on that
- 00:14:07part is there a risk of it not being decentralized or is it still decentralized and then also I'd
- 00:14:15like to just understand a little bit of comparison between the different uh the different competitors
- 00:14:20out there sure so how it works is when we host a node for our clients who stake for nodes we
- 00:14:28are hosting them on decentralized servers such as Earth nodes we've made a couple of Partnerships
- 00:14:33with different decentralized node infrastructure providers over the past couple of months and we
- 00:14:39are using decentralized servers to actually host the switch and validation nodes when we host them
- 00:14:45when they are self-hosted I.E the the Staker is hosting on his own server it's furthering
- 00:14:52the decentralization of the network we are an entirely decentralized Network and we do not rely
- 00:14:57on a single point of presence or a single point of installation there are no server Farms that
- 00:15:03hold all of our infrastructure you know as I said you can self poost or we can manage it for you and
- 00:15:09just you know the Earth nodes are providing you you asked earlier regarding World mobile the Earth
- 00:15:14nodes are providing a further decentralization to our Network by also being ran by different node
- 00:15:21operators around the world in terms of competition today we don't have any competition so the reason
- 00:15:29for that is because we're using this proprietary technology that we've invented at minutes Network
- 00:15:34and we're able to control the cost of the call and we're able to land the call directly onto
- 00:15:39the recipient's telephone via an embedded existing application on the user's telephone so that could
- 00:15:46be a finance app that could be a fitness app that could be any type of app that you can think of
- 00:15:52that would like to make an additional Revenue stream we provide applications with a brand new
- 00:15:56Revenue stream it's an incremental Revenue stream and it's non-disruptive to the users's experience
- 00:16:02we don't add popups we don't add annoying buttons we don't have a there's no dialer on
- 00:16:07the application the only thing the user actually sees is when his you know when his friend or when
- 00:16:13his colleague or or when a call comes into his phone from minutes Network he receives a standard
- 00:16:18Android um incoming call screen he can answer the call he can reject the call he has all of the same
- 00:16:24features to you'll see today when you receive a call um and and you know through this we're able
- 00:16:29to set our own rates on on termination obviously we incentivize the partnering application Provider
- 00:16:37by offering them a revenue share this is prior to the net revenues being on boarded and used for
- 00:16:43the token BuyBacks now as you can see here on the screen we have a comparison chart comparing us to
- 00:16:51to people who are also running telecommunications operations in the industry um you have WhatsApp as
- 00:16:56an example WhatsApp appeared to appear you are required to install WhatsApp on your telephone
- 00:17:03and the recipient of the call must have WhatsApp on their telephone and they do not allow calling
- 00:17:09outside of the application minutes network does not operate in the free calling industry we are
- 00:17:14not a peer-to-peer solution we're a hybrid pstn public switching telephony Network solution um
- 00:17:21to Pier so we PS end top it's a new model as I've said and and in this hybrid solution we're
- 00:17:28collecting tools from the traditional networks and we're terminating them on data networks and
- 00:17:34here you have some of the differences between our Network and existing companies in the industry all
- 00:17:41right Josh would you mind just sharing some some information regarding the white paper uh just
- 00:17:46to elaborate more on the minutes Network sure so the white paper is set to be released around the
- 00:17:53launch of the tge or the public sale um here here are some takeouts and insights into what's going
- 00:17:59to to be inside the white paper we have instant Network creation because when we onboard an
- 00:18:05application the Implement and embed our SDK within the application in just a couple of lines of code
- 00:18:12their entire existing user base becomes reachable and accessible to minutes Network allowing us
- 00:18:18to instantly form a private telecommunications network from existing customers you will find more
- 00:18:26information about this in the white paper under the label mrgl it stands for Minch rapid growth
- 00:18:31library and it's all about how we grow our user base instantly we also have passive seamless Mass
- 00:18:39blockchain adoption we announced a a small piece on this very recently on our socials and what you
- 00:18:46know be because we reward all Network participants we reward stakers we reward callers and Calles
- 00:18:53when we reward the caller and call E we create a wallet for them a web free compatible wallets
- 00:19:00and they're able to claim their rewards from our website once they reach a certain threshold and
- 00:19:06obviously what that does by by in in creating the wallet for these callers and Calles on our on our
- 00:19:14Network on on the web free you know on on the web free um Network it allows people to access a web
- 00:19:21three wallet with rewards that are already housed in that wallet and we'll be creating hundreds
- 00:19:27of millions of Wallets on our select blockchain every year we have the commoditized monetization
- 00:19:33platform we are dealing with a commodity here Voiceover IP telecommunications the industry is
- 00:19:39a is a is regarded as a commodity and each minute that passes is is paid for and these you know
- 00:19:46these minutes are being paid for by billion doll corporations that have been around for
- 00:19:51the last 20 25 years we are fueled by tier one carriers those carriers are driving the traffic
- 00:19:58to the net networ they're collecting traffic from retail users from call centers from all different
- 00:20:04you know various types of um operations that have existed for a long time and and we're using those
- 00:20:10uh carriers to to buy these minutes and and the minutes are fueling our sharing economy we don't
- 00:20:18require consumer marketing now this is where it gets a bit interesting uh regarding our our build
- 00:20:24um we are the only telop carrier to date in in the world that does not require marketing to attract
- 00:20:31and onboard customers we onboard customers in Mass by including our SDK in existing applications so
- 00:20:41let's take a fintech application for an example if a fintech application let's not say any names
- 00:20:47right now has 10 million users they incorporate the SDK within the application and all of those
- 00:20:5310 million users as they update on the Play Store they become reachable to its network
- 00:20:59with no advertising cost so we're able to you know grow our Network um millions of users per
- 00:21:06installation of our SDK in applications cell yeah thank you very much so so your your marketing
- 00:21:15you're basically going out and selling this to the carriers rather than to the direct consumers
- 00:21:21that's correct we're selling to the carriers and we we unlike traditional carriers we're not aiming
- 00:21:27to collect customers as a carrier we are simply collecting car customers in Mass by onboarding
- 00:21:36entire user bases that are integrating our SDK Josh you mentioned Android and all the Apple
- 00:21:43people are bu he cringing in their seats when when Apple yeah um we're looking into Apple the API is
- 00:21:52a little bit different they you know they work a little bit differently we're looking into it but
- 00:21:56we're going to onboard Android um user users first we have some very very large Partnerships uh one
- 00:22:03of our primary you know Partnerships that we've made has more than a billion users we've signed
- 00:22:08an exclusivity deal with that application I won't mention it today the name of the application will
- 00:22:13be released closer to the public sale and we have a five-year exclusivity contract with that
- 00:22:19application so we've already covered a big part of the globe in terms of onboarding users and
- 00:22:25we're in talks with different applications today uh multiple top 10 top 20 applications from the
- 00:22:31charts exciting news ahead all right yeah justos Tommy let's move on to a little bit of tokenomics
- 00:22:41now we we know that you can't say much because you're the head of the organization but from a
- 00:22:47high level point of view can you explain to to our audience you know how did you come up
- 00:22:53with your tokenomics and how did you get to the point of let's say 500 million tokens so what
- 00:22:59what was the the idea behind setting up your because there there's there's models there's
- 00:23:03models that allow for different growth different demands different needs how did you come up with
- 00:23:08yours we were recommended our tokenomics by a company called 01 based in Dubai Yim gdop
- 00:23:17also designed the tokenomics for World mobile we are a deflationary token with a algorithmic
- 00:23:23burn in place and we chose the number 500 million because it's adequately substantial um in in terms
- 00:23:30of uh what we need to reward all of our Network participants and what we need to run our Network
- 00:23:37we didn't want to have too many tokens and we didn't want to have too little tokens so there
- 00:23:41were some algorithms and calculations that were made regarding the amount of calls we're going to
- 00:23:46be making each year at scale and regarding what people in the industry today are are currently
- 00:23:53appreciating and and that's where we've included the deflation there is no inflation in our token
- 00:24:00and we are um algorithmically burning each time we distribute rewards so you guys just
- 00:24:08uh finished up your private sale round I believe and um you had a huge success in there uh from
- 00:24:15what I've seen it looks like you guys were over 600% over subscribed in your uh in your private
- 00:24:20sale uh rounds um can you tell how how does that impact your tokenomics at all and does it at all
- 00:24:27um being that you're over sub described in the private sale we cut the private sale as soon
- 00:24:32as we'd sold the 12 a half million tokens that are assigned in our tokenomics to the Private Sales so
- 00:24:39it doesn't affect the tokenomics we were greatly um we we were very happy with the result with the
- 00:24:45quick closure of the sale um I think it closed in in a matter of hours that the money was raised and
- 00:24:51it was raised by two internal communities and a couple of members of of the public as well as um
- 00:24:59private sort of individuals that came in prior to the announcement in those communities it was
- 00:25:03closed very quick and we were super super excited at the response and the sentiment that we received
- 00:25:10when we hosted a couple of internal amas um very nice words being exchanged and and yeah we were we
- 00:25:16were honored to to be in the position we we were in or we are in oh that's great so obviously then
- 00:25:22so when you say you're 600% oversubscribed you obviously didn't allow though they got
- 00:25:27cut off at your tokenomics limit and the the rest unfortunately just didn't make it in correct and
- 00:25:33maybe they're going to get into the next rounds the public and whatnot that's correct so we're
- 00:25:38receiving still today numerous emails regarding reservations of switch nodes and getting into the
- 00:25:43private sale and we always use the same reply that the head of token sends the reply you know we're
- 00:25:49very sorry we we're currently closed in terms of private sale but you can join us in the public
- 00:25:54round by registering on our website for the uh TG White oh that's fantastic congrats on that success
- 00:26:02there yeah congratulations thank you SE all right so Josh we moving on to nodes and rewards there's
- 00:26:09been a lot of chatter about it and excitement now that some of the the private investors have got
- 00:26:14their their validators and their switches the next question is of course you know like what
- 00:26:20happens you know what is the potential of these these little babies um but before we get there
- 00:26:26can you just go over what is the the validator what is the switch node absolutely so the switch
- 00:26:33node collects traffic from the public traditional telephone carriers like the tier ones we talked
- 00:26:38about earlier and the switch node then takes them the call further into our Network and terminates
- 00:26:45the call with the help of the validation node onto the remote receiving application so you
- 00:26:52know we we take a call we onboard it into the network and we pass it to the recipient user
- 00:26:59who's running a compatible application that is already integrated into minutes Network and it's
- 00:27:05scalable infrastructure providing a seamless connection it's it's a passive connection we
- 00:27:10can handle millions of telephone calls per day per node we produce live analytics and metrics
- 00:27:16that are available in the state's control panel it's powered by custom zp architecture that we've
- 00:27:22built internally and extended uh the Sip protocol internally um it follows RFC so it's very highly
- 00:27:30compatible with existing Enterprise infrastructure the configuration is automatic we provide a wizard
- 00:27:35and installation wizard there are no expertise required for installation and we provide a GUI
- 00:27:42a graphical user interface for um the user the Staker to actually manage and monitor what's
- 00:27:48happening on his node and it's all powered by Cloud infrastructure um selfhosted infrastructure
- 00:27:54and the Earth nodes from World mobile amongst some other de centralized node providers okay and if we
- 00:28:00can talk about the the switch the validation nodes here yep again they are automatically
- 00:28:06configured the validation nodes are assisting the switch nodes in the connections of calls they do
- 00:28:11not allow calls to be connected where the quality will be less than our threshold and and Benchmark
- 00:28:17um they continuously monitor the Network's health and integrity and they are consistently talking
- 00:28:23to the end users and internal Network to validate the health and status and and integrity of the the
- 00:28:30network and um they're performing live analysis to ensure that the network is running at an optimal
- 00:28:38um an optimal situation at all times and and these are the validation nodes they're responsible for
- 00:28:44maintaining the network and the quality of the calls passed over the network and and all of this
- 00:28:50is built it's it's live it's working it's kind of it's kind of hard it's traditional crypto it's
- 00:28:56kind of like I've got an idea let's raise for it let's uh build and then it takes like 13 to
- 00:29:0215 years to to come up with a plausible project um you guys have done something different where
- 00:29:09you've come to Market where it's built and and that's why we get we also get a lot of questions
- 00:29:14like how is it built how is it working this seems a bit uh it seems a bit too good to be true uh
- 00:29:21so all of this what you just mentioned now is La it's working and it gives feedback yeah the entire
- 00:29:27network is functional today we have more than 50,000 users on boarded running in Bangladesh
- 00:29:33and we're consistently uh looking at uh scaling the network with our partners before the end of
- 00:29:38Q2 we'll have 20 million users on board with our first large application partner who uh I
- 00:29:44mentioned earlier the name will be exposed closer to the public sale and our you you can check out
- 00:29:49our Network Explorer at explorer. minutes Network token.io and it gives some insight
- 00:29:55into what's happening on the network where the customers are receiving calls how many calls
- 00:29:58we're processing and as we go along and get closer to the public sale more and more of those features
- 00:30:05on the dashboard will become available and and highlighted right now we're using an internal
- 00:30:10blockchain an internal node structure uh for our testing but everything is working flawlessly and
- 00:30:16we're very excited for the big launch um the the uh onboarding of these 20 million users
- 00:30:23W yeah we're really excited about it too so going back to the nodes you just recently finished your
- 00:30:29private sale and your uh node reservation round if I or early node reservation round if I'm not
- 00:30:34mistaken okay and in those rounds in order to reserve those nodes you needed 50,000 MNT tokens
- 00:30:42to reserve a switch node and 10,000 MNT tokens to reserve the validator node is that correct that's
- 00:30:50correct yes and we gave a discount in the early node reservation round and um as I as as with the
- 00:30:57private sale it was uh over subscribed it was sold out very very quickly massive demand and
- 00:31:03uh you know we we're just about to start tier one advertising which is going to be very very
- 00:31:08exciting for our Network's growth wow yeah we can't wait so with those numbers in mind uh one
- 00:31:15question we kept getting asked was are you able to overstake so like are you able to overstake if
- 00:31:21it's if it's just 50,000 tokens in a switch node or can you put 60,000 tokens in and if if if so
- 00:31:29um do you earn more rewards based on how how much you're staking to it you can overstake per node
- 00:31:35we do not support delegation you're either an O node owner a node Staker or you're not um but you
- 00:31:42can overstate per node we have some Network um algorithm for for Decay so that the people who
- 00:31:48are massively overstating I mean there'll be an announcement on all of this coming very shortly
- 00:31:53and a deep dive into the tokenomics at minutes Network token okay and Josh why don't you allow
- 00:32:00for delegation we don't allow for delegation as per our recommendation from our um uh tokenomics
- 00:32:09providers okay okay all right so someone that did not get into a node they would not be able
- 00:32:14to take their tokens and say hey degon crypto nodes uh we can delegate our or or stake our
- 00:32:21tokens on your nodes um and share the rewards so that's not allowed you can do that privately
- 00:32:28and we wouldn't have a a problem with that the network if you were to do that privately but we
- 00:32:33don't offer architecture that supports this got it basically you're receiving a staking
- 00:32:39Roi uh when when you own one of these nodes and you're staking your tokens to the node so will
- 00:32:44this be based only on the data Burn System or are you offering a standard apy also so the apy
- 00:32:52is dynamically calculated it's calculated by the amount of applications that are driving revenue on
- 00:32:58the network and the amount of carriers that are driving revenue on the network so what happens
- 00:33:03is the more applications we add the more users we have in the network the more people we can
- 00:33:08reach the more carriers we add the more telephone call volume that we receive from the carriers and
- 00:33:14the larger re the revenues are produced so when there's more Revenue being produced all of the
- 00:33:21net revenue at minutes network is on boarded into the secondary or open market and we use that net
- 00:33:27revenue to buyback tokens from the market which is going to cause significant buy pressure and
- 00:33:32it will also cause um the the reward to to be um enlarged for the network participants therefore
- 00:33:40the apy is truly Dynamic and driven by Network performance and network success excellent with
- 00:33:47regards to the nodes right um what what type of rewards could now it's based on performance sure
- 00:33:56um is there an is there a understanding of what these what the node operators could look forward
- 00:34:03to um in owning one as the network on boards more users let's say a million users 10 million users
- 00:34:10billion users is there a sort of algorithm that's that you can maybe share with us there's some
- 00:34:16napkin math out there amongst communities people have made their own mathematics I was delighted
- 00:34:21to to have a look at them and some of them are not far off um the rates diff the differentiated
- 00:34:27between countries some some telephone calls connect at a dollar per minute you know you
- 00:34:31have the papa new Guin the Algeria the maroccos um where it's a very high price per minute and
- 00:34:38then you have the countries like USA where the minute price is very low uh obviously volume has
- 00:34:43a has a significant effect on that too so it's a calculation between volume inbound of telephone
- 00:34:50calls ability to reach recipients via applications on boarded and the rate of the telephone calls
- 00:34:57in the countries that we are currently operating we're going to be starting with
- 00:35:01Bangladesh Philippines Morocco uh Algeria India and the United States as well and we're looking
- 00:35:10at Glo providing Global coverage more the more applications we on board the more countries we
- 00:35:15can cover and we're looking at Niche applications in select countries where the rate is is very
- 00:35:21high and we're also looking at applications where there are lots of people in countries like Nigeria
- 00:35:27Pakistan so that you have a large amount of volume and it doesn't really matter um so much about the
- 00:35:33rate because the volume makes up for it so so I can't give you any math on that but if you explore
- 00:35:39the communities that that are sort of involved you will find some different what they call
- 00:35:44napkin mathematics on on this question so now you have a a whole bunch of people out there that did
- 00:35:51not get a node and they are stressing because now they they they running these napkin mathematics
- 00:35:57their heads what is the algorithm that you guys have put in place so let's say you've sold your
- 00:36:03private round you've sold your pre-sale now you're going to public now I'm in public and I didn't get
- 00:36:08a validator and I didn't get a switch and I'm I've bought 10,000 tokens right for a validator
- 00:36:16how do I fit in the ranking system to get because I'm not guaranteed a node right so how does that
- 00:36:22work and let's say a node operator that bought in the private sale says well I don't want this
- 00:36:30anymore and he un Stakes his token and sells it one becomes available do you have a system that
- 00:36:36says sha is 223rd on the list and Ryan is second on the list to getting that node I just want to
- 00:36:44know which tires I have to slash after hours so we have not released all of the uh nodes in the early
- 00:36:51staking realm we've released 300 switch nodes and 300 validation nodes so there are nodes left
- 00:36:57to be reserved in the public round it is first come first served as you make your reservation
- 00:37:03purchase your tokens you know make your place your order for for a switch node or validation node you
- 00:37:08will be entered into a tiered list and depending at which point you entered that list depending
- 00:37:13obviously whether you actually get a node or not now as people unstake their nodes on the network
- 00:37:19which is the inevitable um you you will get some people that would like to to capitalize on their
- 00:37:25their sort of gains early and as they capitalize on their gains nodes will become available on
- 00:37:30the network and as nodes become available on the network we have an automated system um connected
- 00:37:36to Twitter that tells you okay today three nodes are available minutes Network you know you can now
- 00:37:42enter your panel and you can quickly go and state for one of those nodes and as soon as nodes become
- 00:37:47available we have an automatic announcement um to to Enlighten the community as to the opportunity
- 00:37:55thus making sure that guys hold on to to their tokens for that potential opportunity and the
- 00:38:00rewards of that node very cool it's just the way that we've selected to do it we haven't seen it
- 00:38:05done elsewhere like this in in the industry but it's it's something that we we felt would be
- 00:38:10a nice way to do this yeah it's very interesting moving along to the future of minutes Josh can you
- 00:38:17if you had a crystal ball 3 to 5 years from now where do you see minutes in the space we're going
- 00:38:25to take a large part of the telecommunications volume all of those paid for calls are are going
- 00:38:32to land on our platform um we'll take as much of the of the paid for calling industry as we can
- 00:38:38as quickly as we can we're locking applications into an exclusivity agreement for at least five
- 00:38:44years and I think in a couple of years time we'll be looking at some significant revenues
- 00:38:50so you're locking people up for about 5 years can can another crypto project just come in
- 00:38:55and copy what you're doing and and price you out of the market after that 5 years we're looking
- 00:39:01right now at securing several patents with our lawyers and after the 5year period has ended or
- 00:39:07just before we're going to reapo the applications that we're working with to further the exclusivity
- 00:39:12deals in place we will also not be out priced um because we will simply reduce our price if
- 00:39:19needs be after the 5year period um you have to take companies like uber as an example um Uber
- 00:39:26came to the market was something fantastic they decentralized or redistributed part of the taxi
- 00:39:32industry and um what what happened was people released applications like Get Taxi my taxi all
- 00:39:39different types of mini Ubers but being a first mover in the market has its advantage and as it
- 00:39:46stands today we are the first mover in the market and we've already secured more than 10% of the
- 00:39:52population uh on the planet so we will continue to secure um more appliations providing a a growing
- 00:39:59percentage of of the population being locked into to our Network and reachable Via our Network um as
- 00:40:06I said previously we are in talks with some of the largest applications in the world um
- 00:40:12actively and we are looking to further monetize their user bases when you look at it today they
- 00:40:18have um advertisements video advertisements standard popups they have premium purchases
- 00:40:24within applications the subscription models and PID four applications um they are most of the ad
- 00:40:31you know types of monetization models that exist for an application today we're bringing a brand
- 00:40:36new monetization stream to these applications and it's a it's producing significant Revenue
- 00:40:42so the applications we're getting a brilliant response when we approach them the larger the
- 00:40:48user base the more money they can make it's very black and white and uh we we have all of these you
- 00:40:54know large carriers that we're interconnected with amongst a panel of our partner interconnections
- 00:41:00like IDT they deal with billions of dollars of traffic each year um there are many more carriers
- 00:41:07that we're interconnected with on our website uh and and they're aggregating large volumes for us
- 00:41:12so so we provide an attractive opportunity for these applications and we expect to onboard a
- 00:41:18huge percentage of the world into our private telop network over the coming months ahead Josh
- 00:41:24I'd like to just ask a question maybe it should been asked earlier but just listening to you so
- 00:41:30the traditional way of how telecommunications uses these uh these these these secondary companies
- 00:41:38or or how can I say um uh subsidiary companies is that they help to connect those calls and there's
- 00:41:45a fee that is charged um then you get onto this list that list depending on your rate and your
- 00:41:50quality will move you up and down this list now you're talking about a particular app and going
- 00:41:55through um app compan ianes which technically does it allow you to bypass the the the traditional
- 00:42:02telecommunications because you're using those companies um as a um as an opportunity to leverage
- 00:42:10their Network to offer your services or do you still need that connectivity with the Talco um
- 00:42:17or are there two separate models no it's exactly as you said Sean we are leveraging the existing
- 00:42:23networks provided by applications to land our telephone calls Direct directly on the recipient's
- 00:42:28telephone bypassing all traditional costs uh that the traditional telephoning operators are paying
- 00:42:34bypassing all licensing all regulation and we are absolutely cutting out all middlemen in the
- 00:42:41equation ensuring that minuts Network are taking 100% of the revenue from the originating carrier
- 00:42:47for the calls that they send us and in doing so they cannot technically shut down let's say
- 00:42:53a WeChat or a you know a fintech appc they can't stop you from operating based on your technology
- 00:43:00because you integrated within the platform is that correct that's correct the we we're working
- 00:43:05very closely with Regulators we onboarded Nissa pel she's had 30 years experience plus at the
- 00:43:11itu she's now the current regulator in Sam Pacific island and we're very closely working with the itu
- 00:43:19and and Regulators um by the way I should mention Nissa is on boarded as a strategic advisor in in
- 00:43:25the in the company she's not paid she onboarded herself um because she liked the product and what
- 00:43:31we're doing we're actually solving a big issue in the OT Market governments can't tax Ott providers
- 00:43:37like WhatsApp um and and there's more to that we'll be releasing some information on our b2g
- 00:43:42offerings in the in in the near future um however the The Regulators really like what we're doing
- 00:43:48and the the the um Regulators accept us we we don't need any regulation because we're using
- 00:43:54an extension to the voice over IP protocol calls and we do not require licensing to operate we
- 00:44:00abide and fall within all of the the rules and you know we fall within all of the laws um that that
- 00:44:06allow us to to operate this um new proprietary model of hybrid uh telecommunications exciting
- 00:44:15yeah very exciting the one thing that really stood out to me um of your last few statements
- 00:44:20there was the fact that you've already locked up over 10% of the world's population that's uh
- 00:44:28that's an insane stat like I I had to go back to it because that just blew my mind when you
- 00:44:34said that obviously you know I mean you said yeah you've got 1.2 billion coming on board but it's
- 00:44:39just when you think about the fact that that's over 10% of the world population and you guys as
- 00:44:45far as crypto goes you haven't even launched yet that's that's absolutely amazing well as I said
- 00:44:51thank you very much Ryan we're going to be driving Mass adoption uh for for web free Technologies and
- 00:44:57we will become we are set to become and will become the largest telecommunications operator
- 00:45:02in the world by user base so so just to put that in perspective China Mobile today have
- 00:45:08850 million users accessible on their Network um and and with our first application on boarding we
- 00:45:14have 1.2 billion users becoming available on our Network moving forward we we will on board you
- 00:45:21know countless applications which will grow that statistic tremendously in the near future very
- 00:45:27excited to do so wow that is that's amazing So speaking of the near future do you have
- 00:45:33any uh Alpha that you can drop on our community here we have something called the unity node uh
- 00:45:40you don't pay for the unity node you don't stake for the unity node but it sits on your desk on an
- 00:45:45Android telephone and it generates cryptocurrency for you from home as part of the decentralized
- 00:45:50Telecommunications initiative that we're rolling out and you can find more information about that
- 00:45:56um very very soon and and we're doing that in partnership with World mobile and uh and
- 00:46:01and minutes Network it's it's a fantastic product the world is yet to see anything like we're we're
- 00:46:07about to release very shortly wow amazing Josh and the important thing is how so you get the
- 00:46:17guys that are invested in the into the project you get the guys that are excited the guys that want
- 00:46:21to buy tokens to flip that's all cool but how do you get how can a community get involved to help
- 00:46:29you guys grow more so it's important to say like everybody's got a connection somewhere right and
- 00:46:35how would that person um reach out to you guys in order to help you grow where you need to be
- 00:46:42where do you where would they look at what would they look for in helping minutes grow to a monster
- 00:46:49of a company so anybody in the community um Can can reach out to us via the our socials or via
- 00:46:57inquiries at minutes network.i and you can bring telephone carriers we appreciate more telephone
- 00:47:03carriers you if you have an application or you have a friend that has an application that would
- 00:47:07like to further monetize his user base you can bring that application to us and we have a website
- 00:47:12apps.in network.i anybody can sign up with their application and we're very grateful for those uh
- 00:47:19applications and carriers so if anybody in the community anybody watching this has um a carrier
- 00:47:25in mind or a friend who works with a carrier um or or a friend who owns or works with an application
- 00:47:30we would love to hear from you and we would love to help uh grow your your monetization um or or
- 00:47:36improve your carriers profitability and and in turn you'll be helping us scale our Network so so
- 00:47:41we welcome those people fantastic all right dad's gone crypto community and those who are watching
- 00:47:48from other communities just understand that this could be a disruptor for the Telecommunications
- 00:47:54Company um and when it unveils itself it could be that next thing that you wish you got into
- 00:48:02so do your own home do your own research go and check out minutes go read up on the Technologies
- 00:48:08um it's it was an absolute pleasure having you on the show Josh and myself and Ryan or or giddy
- 00:48:15because we we've been learning a lot about the Telco space thanks to W mobile and now we're
- 00:48:19even more excited in the space of what what the possibilities are and the proprietary software
- 00:48:26and the that you've basically shared with us today we thank you very much for your time and
- 00:48:30we wish you all the best for your future success thank you so much for having me Sean Ryan it's
- 00:48:36been a pleasure to be here today and I look forward to our next session thanks a lot Josh
