Linha do tempo

  • 00:00:00 - 00:05:00

The rise of atheism in the early 2000s was marked by the publication of influential books by authors like Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, and Christopher Hitchens, which sparked widespread discussions and debates, leading to a thriving online community and the branding of the 'new atheism' movement.

  • 00:05:00 - 00:10:00

Despite its initial success, the new atheism movement has seen a decline over the past two decades, with many prominent figures either fading from public view or shifting their focus away from atheism, leading to a perception of the movement as a 'two-ring show.'

  • 00:10:00 - 00:15:00

The decline of new atheism is attributed to various factors, including the changing political landscape, the rise of anti-feminist and anti-SJW content, and the transition of some former atheists back to religious beliefs, reflecting a broader cultural shift.

  • 00:15:00 - 00:20:00

While some content creators continue to produce atheist content, others have moved on to different topics, indicating a fragmentation within the community and a loss of the original momentum that characterized the new atheism movement.

  • 00:20:00 - 00:25:00

The decline in interest in atheism is also reflected in Google Trends data, showing a significant drop in searches for atheism, despite a slight increase in the percentage of Americans identifying as atheists, complicating the understanding of the movement's current status.

  • 00:25:00 - 00:30:00

The aftermath of 9/11 and the political climate under George W. Bush initially fueled anti-religious sentiments, but as time passed, the urgency of these discussions diminished, leading to a decline in the relevance of atheism as a counter-narrative.

  • 00:30:00 - 00:37:45

Ultimately, the decline of new atheism can be seen as a failure to address the deeper implications of a post-religious society, with many former atheists clinging to cultural Christianity or other ideologies, rather than embracing a more radical rethinking of values and beliefs.

counts on YouTube channels like mine
  • 00:01:20
which were devoted primarily to the
  • 00:01:21
topics of atheism and skepticism began
  • 00:01:24
to thrive our atheism even became a
  • 00:01:27
default subreddit on Reddit which as we
  • 00:01:29
all know is is the true marker of
  • 00:01:31
success uh this was all branded the new
  • 00:01:34
atheism movement but really the only
  • 00:01:36
thing that was new about it was that
  • 00:01:38
people were finally taking it seriously
  • 00:01:40
and that makes sense uh islamist
  • 00:01:42
extremists use God as a pretext for the
  • 00:01:45
terror attacks of 9/11 then Christian
  • 00:01:48
nationalists use God as a pretext for
  • 00:01:51
the US invasion of Iraq they never
  • 00:01:53
stopped thinking about new ways to harm
  • 00:01:55
our country and our people and neither
  • 00:01:57
do we but 20 years later this once
  • 00:02:00
    burgeoning social and intellectual
  • 00:02:02
    movement has become a two- ring [ __ ]
  • 00:02:04
show that's right it doesn't even
  • 00:02:05
    qualify for a third ring that's how [ __ ]
  • 00:02:07
of a show it really is I mean Sam Harris
  • 00:02:11
is still kicking around writing books
  • 00:02:12
doing speaking engagements and hosting a
  • 00:02:14
bunch of podcast uh which are mostly
  • 00:02:16
about how good meditation is and uh
  • 00:02:19
objective morality and how Islam is bad
  • 00:02:23
I personally don't care much for him but
  • 00:02:25
I would not call myself a hater
  • 00:02:27
    Christopher Hitchens easily the greatest
  • 00:02:29
of the so called new atheist as well as
  • 00:02:31
the greatest rhetorician and debator of
  • 00:02:33
my lifetime withered away and died
  • 00:02:36
before our very eyes Dawkins work as an
  • 00:02:39
    evolutionary biologist and a popularizer
  • 00:02:41
of science was both impressive and
  • 00:02:43
influential I mean the man literally
  • 00:02:46
coined the term meme for [ __ ] sake but
  • 00:02:49
everything I hear from him now is just
  • 00:02:50
Turf garbage uh Daniel Dennett is dead
  • 00:02:54
Victor J stener is dead ion hery Ali
  • 00:02:58
another notable figure in the the new
  • 00:03:00
atheism movement is now a Christian who
  • 00:03:02
    says that the judeo-christian tradition
  • 00:03:05
is the only answer to the problems of
  • 00:03:06
the modern world whatever the hell that
  • 00:03:08
means her views on the judeo-christian
  • 00:03:11
tradition remind me a lot of Homer
  • 00:03:13
Simpson's views on alcohol to alcohol
  • 00:03:16
the cause of and solution to all of
  • 00:03:20
    life's
  • 00:03:22
problems our atheism was removed from
  • 00:03:25
the Reddit default list amid growing
  • 00:03:27
public sentiment that atheists were a
  • 00:03:28
bunch of abno noxious [ __ ] content
  • 00:03:31
creators like me transitioned away from
  • 00:03:34
atheist content into an era of
  • 00:03:36
anti-feminist and ant sjw content which
  • 00:03:39
was ultimately subsumed by the Maga
  • 00:03:41
    movement and consequently submitted
  • 00:03:44
itself back to Christianity which is why
  • 00:03:46
you have creators who once proudly
  • 00:03:48
    identified as Skeptics now carrying
  • 00:03:50
    water for Western religious Traditions
  • 00:03:53
other atheist content creators of old
  • 00:03:55
    have simply transitioned to
  • 00:03:57
non-religious sources of content as the
  • 00:04:00
    social momentum behind new atheism
  • 00:04:02
    fizzled thunderfoot for example now
  • 00:04:04
primarily makes videos ragging on Elon
  • 00:04:06
Musk and they are pretty successful
  • 00:04:09
plenty of atheist creators are still
  • 00:04:11
    making atheist content though Dark
  • 00:04:13
Matter 2525 has been killing it lately
  • 00:04:16
his videos are better than ever they're
  • 00:04:17
thoughtful poignant deep and seem to
  • 00:04:19
    reflect a personal and intellectual
  • 00:04:21
growth that is uh sorely lacking in many
  • 00:04:24
older creators and speaking of older
  • 00:04:26
creators Matt dillah Hunty is still out
  • 00:04:28
    there arguing for atheism
  • 00:04:30
rationality rules is still out there
  • 00:04:32
arguing for atheism Arin raah is still
  • 00:04:35
out there with the same camera he's been
  • 00:04:37
using since 2009 arguing for atheism
  • 00:04:40
    meanwhile Cosmic skeptic AKA Alex
  • 00:04:43
o'conor who started making content a bit
  • 00:04:46
after the new atheism fad had already
  • 00:04:47
died down is doing very well from
  • 00:04:49
    himself uh focusing on atheistic
  • 00:04:51
    scientific and free thought topics
  • 00:04:54
    routinely getting hundreds of thousands
  • 00:04:55
of views on his uploads so I hope I've
  • 00:04:58
made it clear that not everyone who was
  • 00:05:00
connected to new atheism as a movement
  • 00:05:02
has become a pathetic sellout to the
  • 00:05:04
very sort of irrational dogmatic stuff
  • 00:05:06
that they once combed but a shockingly
  • 00:05:08
large number of them have others just
  • 00:05:11
you know vanished uh perhaps sensing
  • 00:05:14
they had nothing left to say you know at
  • 00:05:16
times I've wondered if I should have
  • 00:05:18
just vanished as well but with all due
  • 00:05:20
apologies to those who hate me I no
  • 00:05:21
    longer have any such
  • 00:05:23
contemplations uh back in the day I was
  • 00:05:25
on The Cutting Edge of YouTube atheism
  • 00:05:27
rising to the top of a heap
  • 00:05:30
of uh content creators just in terms of
  • 00:05:33
sheer viewership I started the entire
  • 00:05:36
genre of anti sjw content on this
  • 00:05:38
platform creating a template emulated by
  • 00:05:40
many other atheist channels of the time
  • 00:05:42
who were looking to move on from the
  • 00:05:44
dying new atheism fad my first foray
  • 00:05:47
    into podcasting the drunken peasants
  • 00:05:49
created a show format that remains
  • 00:05:51
influential to this day the first 10
  • 00:05:54
years of my existence on this platform
  • 00:05:56
tell the story of a Creator who was not
  • 00:05:58
just following Trends but setting them
  • 00:06:00
not just commentating on the discourse
  • 00:06:02
but directing it but in the last 8 years
  • 00:06:05
my influence and drawing power have
  • 00:06:07
waned considerably I no longer exist on
  • 00:06:10
the Forefront of Trends or social
  • 00:06:12
movements on this or any other platform
  • 00:06:15
I have become uh as a recent popular
  • 00:06:17
video by a Creator called Magic mush
  • 00:06:19
pointed out the relic of a forgotten age
  • 00:06:23
here's an excerpt from his video wherein
  • 00:06:25
he draws some conclusions about me it's
  • 00:06:27
been a long road a lot of TST turns and
  • 00:06:30
here we are at the end of our journey
  • 00:06:32
I'd definitely say TJ is in the post
  • 00:06:35
    credit phase of his
  • 00:06:36
career ouch the post credits phase of
  • 00:06:41
his career what an an evocative and
  • 00:06:44
brutal turn of phrase right after I
  • 00:06:46
watched his video that line echoed in my
  • 00:06:48
mind over and over again living rentree
  • 00:06:51
as they say uh nothing else he said
  • 00:06:53
really raised a welth on my ass I mean
  • 00:06:55
I've been playing this game too long I
  • 00:06:56
have thin skin but that line was
  • 00:06:58
    definitely brutal
  • 00:07:00
I kind of feel like one of those 70s or
  • 00:07:01
80s rock stars who has name recognition
  • 00:07:04
and can still Tour on their old hits
  • 00:07:06
until they die but basically no one
  • 00:07:08
cares about their new music like Alice
  • 00:07:10
Cooper can still tour big venues on the
  • 00:07:13
strength of schools out and poison and
  • 00:07:16
No More Mr Nice Guy and so on but his
  • 00:07:18
2023 album Road peaked at number 160 on
  • 00:07:22
the Billboard charts now I guess there's
  • 00:07:24
worse Fates in life but to me it kind of
  • 00:07:26
seems like a Purgatory as a creative
  • 00:07:29
your current Endeavors are received with
  • 00:07:31
tipid and malaise so you must forever
  • 00:07:34
reenact the accomplishments of some long
  • 00:07:36
Dead version of yourself in order to
  • 00:07:38
capitalize on the Nostalgia for a time
  • 00:07:41
when your work was vital and impactful
  • 00:07:44
now I'm being a little dramatic of
  • 00:07:45
course the content I make for this
  • 00:07:47
channel coupled with the content that I
  • 00:07:48
make for my brother Scotty and Paul make
  • 00:07:51
with them rather uh continues to pay my
  • 00:07:53
bills keep me fed keep me clothed still
  • 00:07:56
have a decent chunk left over for
  • 00:07:57
savings and investing and so on
  • 00:08:00
when we did our live show in Las Vegas
  • 00:08:02
last October well not last October the
  • 00:08:04
October before last uh I got to look out
  • 00:08:07
on a small but packed theater of people
  • 00:08:10
who had come from all over the country
  • 00:08:11
just to see us my videos are still
  • 00:08:14
watched and engaged with by a core
  • 00:08:15
audience of people who rate them well
  • 00:08:17
and give me praise for my insight humor
  • 00:08:19
and creativity all in all I have it
  • 00:08:21
better than most people in this country
  • 00:08:22
    most people work thankless and
  • 00:08:24
    exploitative jobs for grossly
  • 00:08:26
insufficient pay and have little to no
  • 00:08:29
left afterwards to devote any time to
  • 00:08:31
any sort of creative or recreational
  • 00:08:33
Pursuit uh their health issues and
  • 00:08:35
mental health issues and so on and so
  • 00:08:37
forth are always put on the back burner
  • 00:08:39
because they have neither the time nor
  • 00:08:41
the resources to properly address them
  • 00:08:43
so I should be and am tremendously
  • 00:08:46
grateful for what I have but let's not
  • 00:08:48
get too bogged down in me let's resume
  • 00:08:51
the topic at hand new atheism and its
  • 00:08:53
decline so Google Trends data shows that
  • 00:08:56
    searches for atheism have declined
  • 00:08:58
significantly in the last two decades
  • 00:09:01
reaching an all-time low in July of 2021
  • 00:09:04
this is especially puzzling when one
  • 00:09:06
considers the fact that according to Pew
  • 00:09:08
    research the percentage of American
  • 00:09:09
adults who identify as atheists has gone
  • 00:09:11
up from 2% in 2007 to 4% in
  • 00:09:15
    2023 interestingly though about a
  • 00:09:17
quarter of those who self-identify as
  • 00:09:19
atheists do believe in some kind of
  • 00:09:21
higher power meaning that they don't
  • 00:09:24
    actually qualify as dictionary
  • 00:09:26
    definition atheists complicating things
  • 00:09:29
fur fur the number of adults who
  • 00:09:30
identify as either atheist agnostics or
  • 00:09:32
    religiously unaffiliated is actually
  • 00:09:34
about 28% of the population and if you
  • 00:09:37
delve deeper into that a large chunk of
  • 00:09:39
those who say they're agnostic or
  • 00:09:40
    unaffiliated probably do meet the
  • 00:09:42
dictionary definition of atheist so not
  • 00:09:45
all the people who identify as atheists
  • 00:09:47
are actually atheists and many people
  • 00:09:49
who reject the atheist label in favor of
  • 00:09:51
    calling themselves agnostic or saying
  • 00:09:53
they have no religion are actually
  • 00:09:55
atheists so to complicate things even
  • 00:09:57
more many who claim to be religious are
  • 00:10:00
in their heart of hearts atheists only
  • 00:10:04
uh they identify with religion for
  • 00:10:05
social or political reasons so how many
  • 00:10:07
atheists are there really who knows
  • 00:10:10
let's set that aside because the
  • 00:10:12
question at hand really isn't about the
  • 00:10:13
prevalence of atheism as a belief or
  • 00:10:16
non-belief uh but about how the atheist
  • 00:10:18
movement that was spearheaded by guys
  • 00:10:20
like Dawkins Hitchens Harris and Dennett
  • 00:10:21
lost steam so in the Years following 911
  • 00:10:26
    anti-islamic sentiments in the west
  • 00:10:27
reached a fever pitch and the new
  • 00:10:29
atheist movement uh offered people an
  • 00:10:32
    intellectual framework to push back
  • 00:10:34
against Islamic culture and its dogmas
  • 00:10:36
but let's not forget that uh people
  • 00:10:38
weren't just mad at Islam many people
  • 00:10:40
were also mad at George W bush
  • 00:10:42
especially when it came out that he had
  • 00:10:44
    not only ignored intelligence that
  • 00:10:45
warned of Osama bin Laden's plan to
  • 00:10:47
hijack planes and crash them into
  • 00:10:49
    buildings but that his administration
  • 00:10:51
had also lied to the American people to
  • 00:10:54
draw up support for his war in Iraq and
  • 00:10:57
what was his excuse while there were a
  • 00:10:58
few but one of was that God told him to
  • 00:11:01
do it June 2003 then President Bush
  • 00:11:03
reportedly having claimed that God told
  • 00:11:05
him to go to war Mr Bush reported as
  • 00:11:08
having said quote God would tell me
  • 00:11:09
George go and fight those terrorists in
  • 00:11:11
Afghanistan and I did and then God would
  • 00:11:13
tell me George go and end the tyranny in
  • 00:11:15
Iraq and I did America had basically
  • 00:11:18
been double teed by powerful religious
  • 00:11:21
    extremists first the islamist extremists
  • 00:11:23
    attacked killing thousands destroying
  • 00:11:26
the two most iconic buildings in the New
  • 00:11:28
York City skyline which is a devastating
  • 00:11:30
act against the American psyche Al Qaeda
  • 00:11:33
basically walked right up and punched Us
  • 00:11:35
in the nose and we saw our blood for the
  • 00:11:38
first time in a very long time and it
  • 00:11:39
made us go a little nuts so we turned to
  • 00:11:42
our leader George W bush his approval
  • 00:11:44
ratings immediately went from 50% to 90%
  • 00:11:48
and uh does anybody remember what our
  • 00:11:50
    folky G shu's 43rd president used his
  • 00:11:53
insane levels of trust and support that
  • 00:11:56
the American people give him you
  • 00:11:57
remember what he did with those uh he
  • 00:11:59
    expanded the surveillance State he
  • 00:12:01
expanded the police state he cracked
  • 00:12:02
down on civil liberties and he falsified
  • 00:12:04
intelligence reports to take uh the
  • 00:12:07
    country into an unconstitutional war
  • 00:12:09
that was so disastrous that future
  • 00:12:11
historians may one day cite it as one of
  • 00:12:14
the major causes of the fall of the
  • 00:12:16
American Empire uh by the time he left
  • 00:12:18
office his 90% approval rating had
  • 00:12:21
dwindled down to 22% still too high in
  • 00:12:23
my opinion anyway after being attacked
  • 00:12:26
by Islamic nut jobs and then kicked
  • 00:12:28
while we were down by angelical nut jobs
  • 00:12:30
    sentiments toward religion especially
  • 00:12:32
    where politics were concerned turned
  • 00:12:34
sour for a lot of people so books and
  • 00:12:36
    lectures about how Islam and
  • 00:12:38
    Christianity are nothing more than
  • 00:12:40
    irrational hypocritical and violent
  • 00:12:41
death Cults felt very cathartic at the
  • 00:12:44
time but now the wounds of 911 aren't so
  • 00:12:46
fresh anymore and the reign of George W
  • 00:12:48
bush is merely a faded memory of a long
  • 00:12:50
ago nightmare 80% of Americans believe
  • 00:12:53
that religion's influence is on the
  • 00:12:55
decline and even though Biden is a
  • 00:12:56
devout Catholic who attends church every
  • 00:12:58
week and ends every speech with mentions
  • 00:13:01
of God only about 133% of Americans
  • 00:13:03
think he's very religious only about 4%
  • 00:13:06
think Trump is very religious gee I
  • 00:13:08
    wonder why his commitment to
  • 00:13:09
    Christianity seems so heartfelt and
  • 00:13:12
sincere I wouldn't want to get into it
  • 00:13:14
because to me that's very personal you
  • 00:13:15
know when I talk about the Bible it's
  • 00:13:17
very personal so I don't want to get
  • 00:13:18
into vers I don't want to get into
  • 00:13:20
there's no verse that means a lot to you
  • 00:13:21
that you think about or sight the Bible
  • 00:13:23
means a lot to me but I don't want to
  • 00:13:24
get into specifics even to cite a verse
  • 00:13:27
that you like I don't want to do that I
  • 00:13:28
mean Testament guy or a new testament
  • 00:13:30
guy uh probably equal yeah and speaking
  • 00:13:35
of that orange [ __ ] necked nitwit
  • 00:13:37
declining interest in my channel almost
  • 00:13:39
perfectly coincides with his rise as a
  • 00:13:41
political force in America 2016 was the
  • 00:13:44
year Donald Trump got elected in 2017
  • 00:13:46
was the year that interest in my content
  • 00:13:48
underwent a drastic decline from which
  • 00:13:50
it is yet to recover I've noticed more
  • 00:13:52
and more people glomming onto the
  • 00:13:54
narrative that my channel went into
  • 00:13:55
decline after I shoved a banana on my
  • 00:13:57
    ass that's demonstrably false banana
  • 00:13:59
gate was in 2011 and my Channel's most
  • 00:14:01
fertile period of growth was from 2010
  • 00:14:03
to 2016 uh where my numbers and Views
  • 00:14:06
went up each year so my banana booty fun
  • 00:14:09
times were not a factor but you know it
  • 00:14:11
was a factor Trump when the YouTube
  • 00:14:14
atheists became the YouTube anti sjws
  • 00:14:16
they started attracting an audience that
  • 00:14:17
was not entirely atheist or secular it
  • 00:14:19
was anyone who had a grievance with
  • 00:14:21
social justice Warriors of any strip
  • 00:14:23
which included Gamers who felt that
  • 00:14:25
feminism was ruining gaming people who
  • 00:14:27
were tired of overt progress of
  • 00:14:29
messaging in movies and TV uh men's
  • 00:14:32
rights activist mgtows incels just name
  • 00:14:35
a few and so what started off as a
  • 00:14:38
    community primarily concerned with
  • 00:14:40
atheism was subsumed by broader culture
  • 00:14:42
    War issues on July 20th 2011 I made a
  • 00:14:46
video called it's only sexist when men
  • 00:14:48
do it this video reached the front page
  • 00:14:50
of Reddit and really tapped into a lot
  • 00:14:52
of male frustrations in the culture at
  • 00:14:54
the time the funny thing is I knew that
  • 00:14:56
would happen even as I was recording it
  • 00:14:58
I could feel even as the words were
  • 00:15:00
escaping my lips that this video would
  • 00:15:02
be impactful in ways that previous
  • 00:15:03
videos that I'd made were not it was
  • 00:15:06
just there in the Zeitgeist waiting for
  • 00:15:07
someone to snatch it out of the air and
  • 00:15:09
that someone happened to be me if you
  • 00:15:11
are enjoying this video give it a like
  • 00:15:14
And subscribe to this channel if you're
  • 00:15:17
not enjoying this video correct the
  • 00:15:19
things that are wrong with you and try
  • 00:15:21
again so when the atheism plus Schism
  • 00:15:24
happened in 2012 the YouTube atheist
  • 00:15:27
Community already had a made template
  • 00:15:29
for how to handle it and from 2011 to
  • 00:15:31
    2016 the YouTube atheist Community
  • 00:15:33
    underwent a metamorphosis into the
  • 00:15:36
    YouTube anti-sjw an anti-feminist
  • 00:15:38
Community a considerable amount of fuel
  • 00:15:40
was added to the fire in 2014 when
  • 00:15:42
gamergate happened although I was never
  • 00:15:45
a gamer Gator myself I am often
  • 00:15:47
    associated with the movement probably
  • 00:15:49
because I was a prevalent anti sjw
  • 00:15:51
YouTuber and I did make several videos
  • 00:15:53
critical of AAS sarkeesian whom I saw as
  • 00:15:55
a prudish hypocrite whose pop feminist
  • 00:15:58
sensibilities were shallow and idiotic I
  • 00:16:00
want to make it clear that my
  • 00:16:02
    non-participation in gamergate was not
  • 00:16:04
due to any sort of condemnation of the
  • 00:16:05
movement I'm just not much of a gamer so
  • 00:16:07
I didn't feel like it was my fight and
  • 00:16:09
frankly when people tried to explain it
  • 00:16:10
to me I went a bit crosy nonetheless a
  • 00:16:13
lot of videos that I made at the time
  • 00:16:15
    certainly benefited from gamergates
  • 00:16:17
    popularity videos with titles like
  • 00:16:19
    Tumblr feminism strikes again and
  • 00:16:21
BuzzFeed feminism bronuts and fedoras a
  • 00:16:24
guided tour and Anita sarkeesian versus
  • 00:16:27
buts uh they were doing considerable
  • 00:16:30
numbers for me views were pouring in
  • 00:16:32
subscribers were pouring in but all of
  • 00:16:33
that changed in 2016 when the anti-sjw
  • 00:16:36
    movement on YouTube embraced Donald
  • 00:16:37
Trump he was everything they'd ever
  • 00:16:39
dreamed of in a leader apparently he was
  • 00:16:41
    a politically incorrect loudmouth who
  • 00:16:43
pissed off all the right people in their
  • 00:16:45
book when you get these terrorists you
  • 00:16:47
have to take out their families they
  • 00:16:49
they care about their lives don't kid
  • 00:16:51
yourself but they say they don't care
  • 00:16:53
about the lives you have to take out
  • 00:16:54
their families but for me the Trump
  • 00:16:57
worship was a bridge too far I think
  • 00:16:58
Trump is an authoritarian idiot who
  • 00:17:00
hates freedom and wants to impose a
  • 00:17:02
    Draconian right-wing social order on
  • 00:17:04
this country and I made that opinion
  • 00:17:06
clear as his presidency played out in
  • 00:17:08
the process I alienated huge swaths of
  • 00:17:11
my previous audience who now loved the
  • 00:17:14
guy because he made sjws mad and
  • 00:17:16
apparently triggering the libs is a
  • 00:17:18
pleasure So Divine that it's worth
  • 00:17:20
carrying water for a Theocratic fascist
  • 00:17:22
    to
  • 00:17:23
accomplish uh but that's only the
  • 00:17:25
organic half of my Channel's decline the
  • 00:17:27
other half is concerned with changes
  • 00:17:29
made to the YouTube algorithm in 2016
  • 00:17:31
and 2017 but those two are related to
  • 00:17:34
Trump the mainstream media was scared
  • 00:17:37
the rise of trump despite their best
  • 00:17:38
efforts to tear him down showed them
  • 00:17:40
that their power and influence was
  • 00:17:42
waning and rather than introspect about
  • 00:17:44
this they decided to wage war on
  • 00:17:46
    Independent Media sources and their
  • 00:17:47
    primary target was YouTube they
  • 00:17:50
    constantly ran stories about
  • 00:17:51
    advertisements on YouTube being played
  • 00:17:53
    before incendiary and hateful content
  • 00:17:56
this in turn caused many advertisers to
  • 00:17:58
abandon the platform until they could
  • 00:17:59
get assurances from YouTube that their
  • 00:18:02
ads would only be placed in front of
  • 00:18:03
    Advertiser friendly content so in
  • 00:18:06
September of 2016 YouTube rolled out new
  • 00:18:08
    guidelines that represented a shift
  • 00:18:10
    towards familyfriendly content but
  • 00:18:12
    really familyfriendly was just a
  • 00:18:13
euphemism for Advertiser friendly and as
  • 00:18:16
a YouTuber who never wanted to make
  • 00:18:18
    familyfriendly content or Advertiser
  • 00:18:20
friendly content for that matter this
  • 00:18:21
was a big blow but things got worse
  • 00:18:23
    because all throughout 2017 YouTube
  • 00:18:26
    continuously tweaked their algorithm in
  • 00:18:28
ways that took my content out of
  • 00:18:30
    people's suggestions I constantly heard
  • 00:18:32
from fans that YouTube was unsubscribing
  • 00:18:34
them from my channel against their will
  • 00:18:37
so between YouTube stifling my artistic
  • 00:18:39
expression in the form of restrictive
  • 00:18:41
content guidelines that were and are
  • 00:18:43
completely anatha to the style of
  • 00:18:44
content I prefer to create and my
  • 00:18:46
refusal to follow the anti-sjw movement
  • 00:18:49
off the Trump Cliff uh and the
  • 00:18:51
    algorithmic suppression of my channel
  • 00:18:52
    2017 was just a perfect storm of [ __ ]
  • 00:18:55
that pinned me down and has kept me
  • 00:18:57
    there ever since
  • 00:18:59
what were once my greatest strengths
  • 00:19:00
have all been turned into my greatest
  • 00:19:01
weaknesses the fact that I was never
  • 00:19:03
    explicitly on anybody's political team
  • 00:19:05
used to mean that I could appeal to
  • 00:19:06
people from all political teams now it
  • 00:19:08
means I can't appeal to any the fact
  • 00:19:10
that I am Brash and opinionated used to
  • 00:19:12
help my content stand out to audiences
  • 00:19:14
now it makes it stand out to YouTube
  • 00:19:16
    censorship YouTube's old algorithm used
  • 00:19:18
to push my videos out to new people
  • 00:19:20
ensuring that I I could always outpace
  • 00:19:22
    my high unsubscribe rates by
  • 00:19:24
    continuously attracting new viewers to
  • 00:19:25
my channel but now I'm almost impossible
  • 00:19:28
to discover organically on the platform
  • 00:19:30
and I can't rely on any sort of Word of
  • 00:19:32
Mouth to carry my name around because
  • 00:19:33
the people who do like me are kind of
  • 00:19:35
embarrassed by the fact since I'm such a
  • 00:19:37
    [ __ ] weird and unlikable [ __ ] but
  • 00:19:40
there I go again making everything about
  • 00:19:41
me so please excuse my gargantuan
  • 00:19:43
    [ __ ] ego let's rebro the discussion
  • 00:19:47
uh Americans probably don't even see
  • 00:19:50
Evangelical Christianity as a threat at
  • 00:19:51
this point they think its influences on
  • 00:19:53
the decline they don't see Trump or
  • 00:19:55
Biden as particularly religious men they
  • 00:19:58
don't remember remember the way bush
  • 00:19:59
used God as a pretext to lead our
  • 00:20:01
country to catastrophe so given these
  • 00:20:03
perceptions it makes sense that most
  • 00:20:05
Americans feel no strong impetus to
  • 00:20:07
invest their attention and energy into
  • 00:20:09
debates about Christianity uh so what
  • 00:20:11
    about Islam anti-islamic sentiments are
  • 00:20:13
still pretty prevalent in America and in
  • 00:20:15
the West in general but attitudes have
  • 00:20:16
shifted a little bit more positively
  • 00:20:18
since 9/11 has gotten further away into
  • 00:20:20
the rearview mirror ultimately many of
  • 00:20:23
the people with vitriolic loathing of
  • 00:20:24
Islam have simply found other lenses
  • 00:20:26
than atheism through which to attack
  • 00:20:29
ion hery Ali for example was a former
  • 00:20:32
Muslim who became a major player in the
  • 00:20:34
new atheism movement sometimes she was
  • 00:20:36
even called the fifth Horsemen The Four
  • 00:20:38
    Horsemen being Dawkins Harris Hitchens
  • 00:20:40
and Dennett as I mentioned earlier she's
  • 00:20:42
now a Christian uh and even though she's
  • 00:20:44
    an immigrant whose family fled
  • 00:20:46
persecution in Somalia she now touts
  • 00:20:48
    anti-immigrant rhetoric she's become a
  • 00:20:50
    standard issue conservative nitwit
  • 00:20:52
honestly she hates trans people she
  • 00:20:54
supports Israel she moans about how
  • 00:20:56
    pernicious social forces have destroyed
  • 00:20:59
the nuclear family and blah blah blah
  • 00:21:00
blah blah she just holds every tedious
  • 00:21:03
and predictable position you can imagine
  • 00:21:04
when I tell you to Envision an average
  • 00:21:06
rman colostomy bag of a human being so
  • 00:21:09
she can go suck dog [ __ ] through a Bendy
  • 00:21:11
straw for a nickel as far as I'm
  • 00:21:13
concerned uh one more example Carl
  • 00:21:15
Benjamin AKA Sargon of aod listen to
  • 00:21:18
this man who once identified as a
  • 00:21:19
skeptic bend the knee to Christianity it
  • 00:21:22
isn't that the new atheists killed
  • 00:21:25
Christianity instead they spent a great
  • 00:21:27
deal of energy beating a dying
  • 00:21:29
horse new atheism itself fizzled out
  • 00:21:33
when it turned out that there was no
  • 00:21:35
great Christian Dragon left to slay and
  • 00:21:37
out of its ashes Rose the Phoenix of
  • 00:21:40
social justice the new atheists with
  • 00:21:43
their dogmatic insistence on reason and
  • 00:21:45
science cleared the path for the
  • 00:21:48
    rational restructuring of society along
  • 00:21:50
gender sex and racial lines what we now
  • 00:21:54
call woke ideology this fact seems to
  • 00:21:57
have become apparent in the years after
  • 00:21:59
the new atheists where the consequences
  • 00:22:02
    of killing Christianity are bearing
  • 00:22:04
their poisoned fruit social breakdown a
  • 00:22:07
failure of personal ethics a lack of
  • 00:22:09
moral Authority the death of the desire
  • 00:22:12
to build things which are beautiful and
  • 00:22:14
the creation of a vacuum which foreign
  • 00:22:16
religions will happily fill with their
  • 00:22:18
true believers if you're wondering I am
  • 00:22:21
myself still an atheist but maybe
  • 00:22:24
    somewhat
  • 00:22:25
regretfully I think that any religious
  • 00:22:27
profession should be be underpinned by a
  • 00:22:29
sincere conviction and not a utilitarian
  • 00:22:32
calculus I am not a Christian but I am a
  • 00:22:35
supporter of Christianity which is why
  • 00:22:37
we host Calvin Robinson's Common Sense
  • 00:22:39
Crusade on lot.com I mean wow the pikme
  • 00:22:44
grift has reached new levels of
  • 00:22:45
putrescence hey Christians what's up I'm
  • 00:22:48
an atheist personally but I just want to
  • 00:22:50
say you guys are totally right about
  • 00:22:52
everything and I want to thank you guys
  • 00:22:54
for helping me in my tireless quest to
  • 00:22:57
save Western Civilization from woke CRT
  • 00:23:00
Dei or whatever buzzword we're slapping
  • 00:23:02
on everything we don't like this week
  • 00:23:04
    anyway here's my big British [ __ ]
  • 00:23:07
could you do me a favor and just shove
  • 00:23:08
as much money right down that big gaping
  • 00:23:10
void as you possibly can oh yeah that's
  • 00:23:13
great that's really going to help me
  • 00:23:14
save the West you guys oh to summarize
  • 00:23:18
    all this rambling into something
  • 00:23:20
approximating cogency one reason why new
  • 00:23:22
atheism declined is just that many of
  • 00:23:24
those involved were grifters who had
  • 00:23:26
ulterior motives and always served a
  • 00:23:27
    different master
  • 00:23:29
who that Master is varies from case to
  • 00:23:31
case in the case of Ali my guess is she
  • 00:23:34
just sincerely hates Islam and will side
  • 00:23:36
with any movement that hates it right
  • 00:23:37
along with her in the case of Sargon I
  • 00:23:40
think he just serves Sargon which I
  • 00:23:41
suppose I can begrudgingly respect to an
  • 00:23:44
extent another reason why new atheism
  • 00:23:47
declined and got a bad rap a spotlight
  • 00:23:50
was shown on atheism and a lot of what
  • 00:23:51
it showed is that atheists are a bunch
  • 00:23:53
of loud edgy angry cringey autists with
  • 00:23:55
no social skills you know like me I've
  • 00:23:59
always occupied a strange place in this
  • 00:24:00
movement uh at one point I was easily
  • 00:24:02
the most popular atheist content creator
  • 00:24:04
on YouTube but I was far from the most
  • 00:24:06
    respected despite my ubiquitous and
  • 00:24:09
    overwhelming presence in the YouTube
  • 00:24:10
space I don't know of a single instance
  • 00:24:12
wherein I was mentioned by Dawkins or
  • 00:24:13
Harris or Hitchens uh if they were aware
  • 00:24:16
of me at all they kept their opinions to
  • 00:24:18
themselves and among my peers at the
  • 00:24:20
time I was largely ignored or used as an
  • 00:24:22
example of how an atheist should not be
  • 00:24:25
many felt I was too loud too edgy too in
  • 00:24:28
love with the sound of my own voice
  • 00:24:29
which is all true uh many felt that I
  • 00:24:31
took controversial stances just to get
  • 00:24:33
attention which is also true I was never
  • 00:24:36
taken all that seriously in that space
  • 00:24:38
and yet to this day I still hear from
  • 00:24:40
people who watched my content at
  • 00:24:42
difficult times in their lives and
  • 00:24:43
    derived both emotional strength and
  • 00:24:45
    intellectual argumentation from me and
  • 00:24:48
even many of the people who didn't agree
  • 00:24:49
with me still watch me because I was
  • 00:24:50
funny and outrageous and not even a
  • 00:24:52
little afraid of you know pissing people
  • 00:24:54
off I can't tell you how many times I've
  • 00:24:56
heard some variation of the imbecile
  • 00:24:58
phrase you know atheists are just as bad
  • 00:25:00
as religious people atheists are just as
  • 00:25:03
dogmatic as religious people and those
  • 00:25:05
sentiments spring forth from a very
  • 00:25:06
shallow place in the human psyche
  • 00:25:08
because all people really mean when they
  • 00:25:10
say that is that in the same way they
  • 00:25:12
don't really want to hear about
  • 00:25:13
    someone's religious beliefs they also
  • 00:25:14
don't want to hear about atheism they
  • 00:25:16
    really make no distinction between
  • 00:25:18
atheists and religious people because to
  • 00:25:19
them both groups are just people who
  • 00:25:21
won't shut up when I'm trying to sit
  • 00:25:22
here and be stupid uh these are people
  • 00:25:25
who don't see a difference between
  • 00:25:26
religion and Atheism because they don't
  • 00:25:27
    possess a molecule of intellectual
  • 00:25:28
curiosity in their entire bodies and
  • 00:25:31
because of these Jack offs atheism got
  • 00:25:32
labeled as obnoxious and cringe but
  • 00:25:35
really the biggest reason why new
  • 00:25:37
atheism uh declined was because of
  • 00:25:38
something I've been hinting at uh
  • 00:25:40
throughout this whole video uh it's
  • 00:25:42
because at the end of the day atheism is
  • 00:25:43
not an ideology atheism has no Dogma no
  • 00:25:46
    Doctrine no philosophy no politics
  • 00:25:48
atheism is just the lack of belief in
  • 00:25:50
any sort of God or Gods before Richard
  • 00:25:53
Dawkins was even born all the way back
  • 00:25:55
in 1882 a guy named Friedrich Wilhelm
  • 00:25:57
nche realized that God is dead now what
  • 00:26:00
did he mean by that did he mean that the
  • 00:26:02
corpse of God is rotting up in heaven
  • 00:26:04
while the angels are all gathering
  • 00:26:05
around going what the [ __ ] no what he
  • 00:26:08
meant was that the enlightenment had
  • 00:26:10
killed the concept of God had killed the
  • 00:26:13
idea that life is organized around some
  • 00:26:15
sort of divine order and N was for the
  • 00:26:18
most part okay with that since he you
  • 00:26:19
know thought religion was pretty dumb
  • 00:26:21
but he had a fear and uh he had a fear
  • 00:26:24
that nothing would rise up to take
  • 00:26:27
    religion's place and Humanity would
  • 00:26:29
become nihilistic and destructive as a
  • 00:26:30
result so n was like well maybe through
  • 00:26:33
    ART and through dedication to
  • 00:26:34
    self-improvement and individualism
  • 00:26:36
    Humanity can overcome
  • 00:26:38
nihilism his basic idea was God is dead
  • 00:26:40
so he's we got to become God like
  • 00:26:42
ourselves we must create and live by our
  • 00:26:44
own values we must transcend all
  • 00:26:46
    previously existent dogma and embrace
  • 00:26:48
and develop strength and freedom finding
  • 00:26:50
joy and affirmation in this life rather
  • 00:26:52
than Holding Out for Hope of some kind
  • 00:26:54
of wonderful afterlife but n's Solutions
  • 00:26:57
don't really matter at this juncture
  • 00:26:58
what matters is the problem he
  • 00:27:00
identified God is dead okay but God that
  • 00:27:03
is to say Christianity has traditionally
  • 00:27:05
been a huge part of western culture so
  • 00:27:08
what happens when we we take out that D
  • 00:27:10
Jenga block right what remains which
  • 00:27:13
    institutions and traditional Norms
  • 00:27:15
survive and which ones die so the
  • 00:27:17
insecurity of those questions um and the
  • 00:27:21
insecurity they invoke are the reason
  • 00:27:23
why you see so much of this cultural
  • 00:27:25
    Christianity [ __ ] going around these
  • 00:27:27
days right Dawkins might have written
  • 00:27:29
    the most influential and important
  • 00:27:31
atheist book of all time but ultimately
  • 00:27:33
he proved himself to be the vast
  • 00:27:34
inferior of n on this topic because
  • 00:27:36
whereas n said God is dead so how do we
  • 00:27:39
handle that what does this mean for us I
  • 00:27:41
have some ideas about that Dawkins is
  • 00:27:43
just a fool who says God is dead but
  • 00:27:45
everyone just carry on like normal we
  • 00:27:47
    are culturally a Christian country I'm I
  • 00:27:50
call myself a cultural Christian I'm not
  • 00:27:52
    a Believer but there's a distinction
  • 00:27:55
between being a believing Christian and
  • 00:27:57
being a cultural Christian and so you
  • 00:27:58
know I I love hymns and Christmas carols
  • 00:28:01
and um I I sort of feel at home in the
  • 00:28:06
Christian ethos I feel that we are a
  • 00:28:08
Christian country and it's such a silly
  • 00:28:10
sentiment yet it's getting more and more
  • 00:28:12
popular these days so many atheists
  • 00:28:14
these days claim they are proponents of
  • 00:28:15
adhering to almost every scrap of
  • 00:28:17
    Christian dogma and Christian social
  • 00:28:19
    organization even though they're well
  • 00:28:20
aware of the fact that God is dead
  • 00:28:23
    Christianity doesn't really work without
  • 00:28:25
God you morons okay at least ion hery
  • 00:28:27
Ali was was smart enough to figure that
  • 00:28:29
out and start pretending to believe in
  • 00:28:31
God like imagine you're being held at
  • 00:28:33
gunpoint by a robber he's like give me
  • 00:28:34
your wallet and you start to hand him
  • 00:28:36
your wallet but then he reveals the gun
  • 00:28:38
is fake it's made of rubber there's no
  • 00:28:39
bullets in it it's no deadlier than a
  • 00:28:41
tube of chapstick right are you still
  • 00:28:43
going to give him your wallet be like I
  • 00:28:44
am a cultural armed robbery victim even
  • 00:28:47
though the gun isn't real I still prefer
  • 00:28:49
    the comforting social arrangement of
  • 00:28:51
giving the robber my wallet and if you
  • 00:28:53
think that analogy is absurd you're
  • 00:28:55
wrong because that's all Christianity is
  • 00:28:56
    it wants your wallet
  • 00:28:58
and God is the gun it uses to get it and
  • 00:29:00
idiots like soyon of a fraud and bitched
  • 00:29:02
squawkin know that God is a fairy tale
  • 00:29:06
but they still want to go along with
  • 00:29:07
Christian dogma why well Sargon because
  • 00:29:10
he can grift off it Dawkins cuz he's an
  • 00:29:12
old scared man reasons may vary but um
  • 00:29:16
when you've had the god gun held to your
  • 00:29:18
head every day for your entire life and
  • 00:29:20
you're told do what you do what I say or
  • 00:29:22
I'll use the god gun on you there are
  • 00:29:24
people who when the god gun is revealed
  • 00:29:26
    to be [ __ ] they're instead of being
  • 00:29:28
leave they get all scared and they're
  • 00:29:29
like well what am I supposed to do now
  • 00:29:31
and their solution is well I'll just
  • 00:29:33
keep complying anyway and it takes a
  • 00:29:35
world class coward folks to fear a
  • 00:29:38
threat that they know is empty but
  • 00:29:40
cultural Christianity is just one answer
  • 00:29:42
to the problem of God is dead now what
  • 00:29:45
uh anyone here remember an atheism plus
  • 00:29:48
the term didn't last very long but the
  • 00:29:50
idea survives uh in the wake of elevator
  • 00:29:53
gate a an event that's so small and
  • 00:29:55
stupid it probably doesn't even deserve
  • 00:29:56
to be called an event event it certainly
  • 00:29:58
    doesn't deserve the gate
  • 00:30:00
designation uh but after elevator gate
  • 00:30:03
there was a Schism in The Atheist
  • 00:30:04
community so elevator gate for those who
  • 00:30:05
don't know some guy at an atheism
  • 00:30:07
conference read the vibe wrong and he
  • 00:30:10
asked a skeptic blogger Rebecca Watson
  • 00:30:13
if she wanted to come back to his room
  • 00:30:14
for coffee while they were in an
  • 00:30:16
elevator together uh she decided this
  • 00:30:19
guy's failed attempt at Riz was enough
  • 00:30:22
justification to use her platform to put
  • 00:30:24
him on blast just a word to the wise
  • 00:30:27
    here God
  • 00:30:28
uh don't do that um you
  • 00:30:32
know uh I don't really know how else to
  • 00:30:35
explain how this makes me incredibly
  • 00:30:37
uncomfortable and a bunch of people
  • 00:30:39
including Richard Dawkins were like dude
  • 00:30:40
[ __ ] you Rebecca you got hit on by a guy
  • 00:30:43
you rejected him he left he left it
  • 00:30:46
there he accepted it and he left you
  • 00:30:48
alone and that should be the end of it
  • 00:30:50
but she didn't accept it and that was
  • 00:30:51
not the end of it an atheist blogger
  • 00:30:54
named Jen McCree used her freethought
  • 00:30:56
blogs blog to let us know that atheism
  • 00:30:59
had become a boys club where ladies
  • 00:31:01
don't feel safe and uh we need to clean
  • 00:31:03
the place up and her solution was a a
  • 00:31:06
third wave of atheism uh and this was
  • 00:31:09
atheism plus so what's the Plus for well
  • 00:31:12
Jen explains we are atheists plus we
  • 00:31:15
care about social justice atheist plus
  • 00:31:17
we care about women's rights plus we
  • 00:31:19
care about racism plus we care about
  • 00:31:21
homophobia and transphobia plus we use
  • 00:31:24
    critical thinking and
  • 00:31:26
skepticism uh plus blah blah blah blah
  • 00:31:29
blah and though uh he didn't coin the
  • 00:31:32
term atheism plus the most Ardent and
  • 00:31:34
public voice in favor of this nonsense
  • 00:31:37
was a guy named pz Meers who had been an
  • 00:31:39
activist for atheism years before the
  • 00:31:41
new atheist movement started up but if
  • 00:31:43
there was ever a guy who despised the
  • 00:31:45
new atheism movement it was pz Meers he
  • 00:31:47
did not like that crude low lives like
  • 00:31:50
yours truly had entered his space thanks
  • 00:31:52
to the likes of Harris Hitchens Dawkins
  • 00:31:55
    uh popularizing Atheism in the
  • 00:31:56
marketplace of ideas he saw atheism plus
  • 00:31:59
as a way to exclude Us by redefining
  • 00:32:01
    atheism as inherently Progressive and
  • 00:32:03
    feminist in
  • 00:32:05
nature uh the Schism only deepened when
  • 00:32:07
    freethought blogs banned popular
  • 00:32:09
    YouTuber thunderfoot from their platform
  • 00:32:11
after he pushed back against their
  • 00:32:13
agenda pz and Friends wanted atheism
  • 00:32:16
purged of Naro Wells and other assorted
  • 00:32:18
    undesirables and eventually they got
  • 00:32:20
their way uh to an extent anyway most of
  • 00:32:23
the atheists who they deemed problematic
  • 00:32:24
    crude or misogynistic became religious
  • 00:32:27
    or embraced cultural Christianity or
  • 00:32:29
simply drifted out of the atheist space
  • 00:32:31
as the social momentum died down in
  • 00:32:33
other words it took a few years but they
  • 00:32:35
ultimately did achieve The Purge they
  • 00:32:36
were after uh what they didn't succeed
  • 00:32:39
at was turning atheism itself into a
  • 00:32:41
Dogma or popularizing atheism plus as a
  • 00:32:43
movement if atheism plus was a movement
  • 00:32:46
it was a bowel movement and it did
  • 00:32:47
exactly what it was designed to do it
  • 00:32:49
cleared the Rome they just had to plug
  • 00:32:51
their nose and live with the smell for a
  • 00:32:52
while and then voila when the stink
  • 00:32:54
cleared out all of their enemies were
  • 00:32:56
gone so now we have a situation where
  • 00:32:58
many atheists have bent the need of
  • 00:32:59
Christianity because that is what their
  • 00:33:02
    right-wing politics demand we have
  • 00:33:04
atheists who have essentially Fus their
  • 00:33:06
atheism and their leftism to create a
  • 00:33:08
secular Purity cult so they can feel
  • 00:33:11
special and above it all as they sneer
  • 00:33:13
contemptuously at a burning world that
  • 00:33:14
they really have no genuine desire to
  • 00:33:16
save or if they do have any desire to
  • 00:33:18
save it that desire is far outweighed by
  • 00:33:20
their aversion to rubbing elbows with
  • 00:33:22
the unclean masses who they see as
  • 00:33:24
beneath them early on many atheists
  • 00:33:27
champion into the fact that our movement
  • 00:33:28
    was politically diverse that it
  • 00:33:30
contained people from all over the
  • 00:33:31
political Spectrum but as you can see
  • 00:33:34
that didn't really last the righties
  • 00:33:35
went right and they made up with
  • 00:33:37
Christianity and the lefties went left
  • 00:33:38
and insulated themselves in a warm
  • 00:33:40
    blanket of their own smug
  • 00:33:42
self-righteousness it turns out that not
  • 00:33:44
believing in God was not nearly a strong
  • 00:33:46
enough social adhesive to keep a
  • 00:33:48
movement together now Fredick nche had
  • 00:33:51
his flaws but at the end of the day he
  • 00:33:53
is the only thinker that I know of to
  • 00:33:55
    actually grapple with the full
  • 00:33:56
implications of the death of God when
  • 00:33:59
faced with the same conundrum new
  • 00:34:01
    atheism floundered and factionalized
  • 00:34:03
along political lines so once again why
  • 00:34:06
did new atheism decline hopefully by now
  • 00:34:09
you're ready for what I think is the
  • 00:34:10
real answer new atheism declined because
  • 00:34:13
it didn't go far enough you're godamn
  • 00:34:15
right all the thinkers of new atheism
  • 00:34:17
worked to tear down the concept of God
  • 00:34:19
in all of its Insidious forms but they
  • 00:34:21
always made sure that they never went so
  • 00:34:24
far as to tear down the other
  • 00:34:25
    irrationalities upon which our civil
  • 00:34:27
civilization is built because just like
  • 00:34:29
n before them they feared the
  • 00:34:32
n-word no not that one I'm talking about
  • 00:34:35
nihilism the abolition of God should
  • 00:34:37
have been just the beginning the
  • 00:34:39
    cultural Christians want to acknowledge
  • 00:34:41
that God is dead but keep Christianity
  • 00:34:43
going anyhow the atheism plus dorks
  • 00:34:46
would rather feel Superior than dirty
  • 00:34:48
their hands with the work of changing
  • 00:34:50
this world Sam haris immediately after
  • 00:34:52
tearing down god Set about the work of
  • 00:34:55
    preserving judeo-christian morality by
  • 00:34:57
by devising a flimsy pseudo scientific
  • 00:35:00
    basis for its preservation Richard
  • 00:35:03
Dawkins jumped right on board with that
  • 00:35:04
nonsense of course across the spectrum
  • 00:35:07
of new atheists we see that figure after
  • 00:35:09
    figure thinker after thinker activist
  • 00:35:12
    after activist essentially wanted to
  • 00:35:15
kill God but preserve everything that
  • 00:35:17
flowed forth from the concept of God so
  • 00:35:21
let me be the one to spoil the fun God
  • 00:35:23
is dead and everything that sprang forth
  • 00:35:25
from God is also dead and so to the
  • 00:35:28
extent that we continue to adhere to it
  • 00:35:31
we are living in a world of death I call
  • 00:35:33
this time in human history the age of
  • 00:35:36
living death we are disconnected from
  • 00:35:38
both our sense of higher purpose and
  • 00:35:41
from our base Humanity the higher World
  • 00:35:45
cut off from us the lower World cut off
  • 00:35:47
from us and this Paradigm has to end the
  • 00:35:51
shadow of God must fade am I still an
  • 00:35:54
atheist no I've gone a Step Beyond
  • 00:35:58
atheism it was a step it was a stage but
  • 00:36:02
it's passed the monog god of
  • 00:36:05
Christianity Islam and Judaism is death
  • 00:36:08
    so what then is
  • 00:36:10
life life are the gods within me and
  • 00:36:13
within you we all contain a spark of the
  • 00:36:15
Divine and we can use that to shape this
  • 00:36:19
world to our whims but we cannot create
  • 00:36:21
the new without letting the old perish
  • 00:36:23
from this Earth we authored every God or
  • 00:36:28
goddess in all of history so what does
  • 00:36:30
that tell you it tells you that we are
  • 00:36:33
the true gods of this world and always
  • 00:36:35
have been and after years of delusion
  • 00:36:38
it's time to accept the truth and to
  • 00:36:41
take our power back from the specters of
  • 00:36:43
    past
  • 00:36:44
Creations we made this world before and
  • 00:36:47
    we can make it
  • 00:36:48
again new atheism is dead but the new
  • 00:36:51
chaos emerges and from the new chaos
  • 00:36:54
shall emerge the New Order and this will
  • 00:36:56
    belong to us
  • 00:36:58
we will no longer live in the tired
  • 00:37:00
prescriptions of the past nor will we
  • 00:37:02
impose our prescriptions onto the future
  • 00:37:04
we will create a world of the People by
  • 00:37:06
the people and for the people and those
  • 00:37:09
who stand in our way are traitors
  • 00:37:11
Against Humanity and suppressors of true
  • 00:37:13
Divinity and we'll have to do our best
  • 00:37:15
to Enlighten them but if they can't
  • 00:37:17
follow us then they're just going to
  • 00:37:18
have to be left in the
  • 00:37:19
dust so let's get into the fry if you
