  • 00:00:00
is the hardest thing to do and at the
  • 00:00:04
same time the easiest thing to do if you
  • 00:00:08
know how it's done and what to look for.
  • 00:00:13
So in the next couple of minutes I don't
  • 00:00:15
want to, you know, gaslight you about
  • 00:00:19
that it's so easy and you only need to
  • 00:00:21
follow these three hacks and within the
  • 00:00:24
next couple of days you will be there
  • 00:00:27
and you will have a million dollar
  • 00:00:28
brand. That's not what I'm going to do
  • 00:00:30
because that would be a lie. What I want
  • 00:00:33
you to take away and what I want to
  • 00:00:36
share from my own experiences of getting
  • 00:00:39
to a million and even five
  • 00:00:42
million with my e-commerce brands, but
  • 00:00:45
this is really for brands in general. is
  • 00:00:48
what should you look for and what are
  • 00:00:51
the mo most likely uncommon things um
  • 00:00:55
that are not so tactical but they're are
  • 00:00:57
more about you know your skill set the
  • 00:01:01
people you work with your mindset uh
  • 00:01:04
your vision as a founder um that I think
  • 00:01:08
will really help you to get there faster
  • 00:01:10
right and get there with not all the
  • 00:01:13
mistakes that I have done so the very
  • 00:01:18
first thing. So, by the end of the
  • 00:01:19
video, I want you to, you know, go out
  • 00:01:22
of this video and really have the
  • 00:01:24
feeling of, okay, it's not as hard as I
  • 00:01:28
thought. It's still going to be hard,
  • 00:01:31
    but at least I I have I see a path and I
  • 00:01:35
know the sequence of things that I have
  • 00:01:37
to look for in order to get there in the
  • 00:01:40
most, you know, efficient way possible,
  • 00:01:43
    let's say.
  • 00:01:44
So the very first thing I would say is
  • 00:01:48
really to be clear about your skill set.
  • 00:01:52
Get clear about your skill set and and
  • 00:01:55
make sure that you find your one thing.
  • 00:02:00
And this is something that took me a
  • 00:02:03
long time. I'm doing uh I'm an
  • 00:02:06
entrepreneur for what eight years almost
  • 00:02:09
10 8 years nine years 10 years depending
  • 00:02:12
    on how you define it.
  • 00:02:14
And in the beginning, it's normal, you
  • 00:02:16
know, you you try out a bunch of
  • 00:02:19
different things. At least that was my
  • 00:02:21
that was my case, right? I I did Amazon
  • 00:02:23
FBA, I did copywriting, I did Facebook
  • 00:02:26
ads, then I did landing page building.
  • 00:02:30
    Um all sorts of crazy
  • 00:02:33
things. Um but this helped me to figure
  • 00:02:37
out what I'm good at, right? and what um
  • 00:02:41
what I actually also enjoy doing and
  • 00:02:45
where clients or whoever I'm working
  • 00:02:47
    with gives me positive feedback.
  • 00:02:50
So this is a very important face and I
  • 00:02:53
don't want you to shortcut that. At the
  • 00:02:56
same time, there's the risk that at some
  • 00:02:59
    point you're just doing
  • 00:03:02
everything but not really, you know,
  • 00:03:06
    knowing something really, really well.
  • 00:03:09
And this is what I've seen now looking
  • 00:03:12
back that that's one of the most
  • 00:03:14
important things to know yourself and
  • 00:03:17
know what you're good at and play to
  • 00:03:20
your strengths, right? So basically to
  • 00:03:24
create an environment and that would be
  • 00:03:26
my second point to create an environment
  • 00:03:28
    where your strengths are getting
  • 00:03:31
    maximized right so you're essentially
  • 00:03:33
leveraging what you're best at um by the
  • 00:03:36
surrounding that you create for yourself
  • 00:03:39
okay so it's really it can be any skill
  • 00:03:43
right it could be that you're very good
  • 00:03:46
    communicator you're great at motivating
  • 00:03:49
people it could be that you
  • 00:03:52
are good at copywriting, right? And you
  • 00:03:56
really understand like you're trying to
  • 00:03:58
    understand customers and you're going
  • 00:04:00
the extra mile there, but it doesn't
  • 00:04:02
feel like work. You know, you just enjoy
  • 00:04:04
doing it and you're good at that. So,
  • 00:04:07
this is for example something that I'm
  • 00:04:08
very good at. I love to understand who
  • 00:04:13
I'm selling to, right? I love to do
  • 00:04:15
research. I love to um then also you
  • 00:04:18
know copyright and try to communicate
  • 00:04:22
whatever I'm offering the right way so
  • 00:04:24
that it gives value to other people.
  • 00:04:27
So make sure to get your skill set right
  • 00:04:32
and get clear on what you're really
  • 00:04:35
    really good
  • 00:04:36
at. Once you know that and this is a
  • 00:04:39
this is a process that you know for some
  • 00:04:41
people it's very fast for for some
  • 00:04:43
people it takes years like in my case
  • 00:04:46
but what's important then as the next
  • 00:04:48
step is that you make sure that you work
  • 00:04:51
    with people that have complimentary
  • 00:04:54
    skill sets to
  • 00:04:56
yours and this is something that a lot
  • 00:04:58
of entrepreneurs are struggling with for
  • 00:05:01
example I I'm mentoring uh you know
  • 00:05:04
e-commerce founders you know on how to
  • 00:05:07
run their ads in-house, how to build up
  • 00:05:09
their acquisition, how to finally grow
  • 00:05:11
their brand to a million to 10 million a
  • 00:05:15
year. And what I see often times is
  • 00:05:19
that, you know, they have a hard time
  • 00:05:22
understanding what their real value is,
  • 00:05:26
what their real skill set is, where
  • 00:05:28
they're like, what only they can do and
  • 00:05:31
    where they're better than everybody
  • 00:05:33
else. and then making sure that all the
  • 00:05:36
other things are done by people that
  • 00:05:39
have their genius zone in these, you
  • 00:05:42
    know, in these different skill
  • 00:05:44
sets. Because if you look at, you know,
  • 00:05:47
    big big brands like Amazon,
  • 00:05:52
Meta, whatever you look at, most likely
  • 00:05:56
you will see one person as the founder,
  • 00:05:59
the glorified founder. But when you take
  • 00:06:02
    a a closer
  • 00:06:03
look, none of these businesses, none of
  • 00:06:06
these brands were built by one person
  • 00:06:08
alone from start to finish. It's not
  • 00:06:12
possible. But these people were very
  • 00:06:15
very good at understanding what is their
  • 00:06:18
role and what is their genius zone and
  • 00:06:21
what are all the other things that they
  • 00:06:23
need in order to you know um essentially
  • 00:06:27
realize their vision. Which is my last
  • 00:06:29
point, right? that brings it all
  • 00:06:31
together. And for that you need people
  • 00:06:34
that have same as you have your genius
  • 00:06:37
zone, they have their genius zones in
  • 00:06:39
other parts of the business. And as a
  • 00:06:43
group, you will get there way way
  • 00:06:46
faster. The important thing is that they
  • 00:06:48
are complimentary. So for example, with
  • 00:06:50
    my business partners,
  • 00:06:52
um we're in in one of my e-commerce
  • 00:06:55
    brands. We're doing over 900k a month
  • 00:06:58
now. We started this brand a year ago, a
  • 00:07:00
little bit more than a year ago, maybe
  • 00:07:02
    14
  • 00:07:03
    months. And
  • 00:07:05
um we have very complimentary skill
  • 00:07:08
sets, right? I could have never ever
  • 00:07:11
done that by myself, right? Because
  • 00:07:14
especially in an e-commerce, there's so
  • 00:07:16
many different parts of the business.
  • 00:07:18
supply chain. Then you have uh you know
  • 00:07:21
the the paid ads, the acquisition, you
  • 00:07:24
have the retention part, you have all
  • 00:07:26
    the operations.
  • 00:07:28
And I'm not good at most of that, but
  • 00:07:32
what I'm good at is making sure that our
  • 00:07:35
paid ads acquisition is profitable, that
  • 00:07:38
we can scale. And then obviously I
  • 00:07:41
sprinkle in whatever I know in the other
  • 00:07:43
    parts, but all the other
  • 00:07:45
parts, the people that take care of that
  • 00:07:48
have their genius zones in those parts.
  • 00:07:51
And that's where why we were able to
  • 00:07:53
scale so rapidly. And this is why we
  • 00:07:55
will scale even more and even quicker
  • 00:07:58
going forward. And that's the same thing
  • 00:08:01
that I teach you know other founders.
  • 00:08:04
But I had to go through a lot of pain
  • 00:08:07
and you know failed projects where I did
  • 00:08:11
not respect that. So this is the second
  • 00:08:14
thing that I would, you know, share with
  • 00:08:16
you and and give you that you really
  • 00:08:19
    look
  • 00:08:19
for who are what are the other things
  • 00:08:22
that I have to do in order to become a
  • 00:08:26
$1 million brand, $10 million brand,
  • 00:08:28
    whatever your goal is. And
  • 00:08:31
then how do I make sure that I get these
  • 00:08:34
people right? Get people that are in
  • 00:08:36
their genius zones working alongside of
  • 00:08:40
    me.
  • 00:08:41
    The third thing then
  • 00:08:44
is and this is a big one is essentially
  • 00:08:48
    what is your
  • 00:08:50
vision? What is your ultimate goal? Like
  • 00:08:53
what do you see in the brand? And I give
  • 00:08:56
you an example. I see, you know, I'm
  • 00:08:59
coaching brand owners every single week
  • 00:09:03
and I've had the situation a couple of
  • 00:09:05
times now where I have basically two
  • 00:09:08
brand owners and you could say they're
  • 00:09:10
fairly equal when it comes to their
  • 00:09:12
development when when it comes to their
  • 00:09:14
    like profits and and
  • 00:09:17
    revenue
  • 00:09:18
yet three to six months down the line
  • 00:09:22
one founder is crushing it. Right? So,
  • 00:09:26
for example, went from like 12K a month
  • 00:09:29
    to 300K a month, right?
  • 00:09:33
Amazing. Yet, on the other hand, you
  • 00:09:35
have the other founder that started with
  • 00:09:38
    the same
  • 00:09:39
base, but is still maybe at the same
  • 00:09:44
pace or let's say double, triple, but
  • 00:09:47
    it's not a 10x, 20x growth.
  • 00:09:50
So what I'm asking myself when I see
  • 00:09:53
that is okay what's the difference
  • 00:09:55
because they're pretty equal when I look
  • 00:09:58
at the data let's say but what's the
  • 00:10:00
difference is most of the times the
  • 00:10:04
vision of the founder and therefore also
  • 00:10:07
    then the mindset of the
  • 00:10:09
founder what's important and this is
  • 00:10:11
this is something that I you know I'm
  • 00:10:13
I'm continuing to learn and I'm
  • 00:10:15
continuing to remind myself of that is
  • 00:10:19
that going 10x is not necessarily harder
  • 00:10:24
than setting your goals uh 2x, right?
  • 00:10:27
There's actually an amazing book uh
  • 00:10:29
which is called 10x is easier than 2x.
  • 00:10:31
Highly recommend you reading that. And
  • 00:10:35
um essentially, you know, if you let's
  • 00:10:38
say your goal is to um become a $1
  • 00:10:40
million brand and you're making 100K
  • 00:10:44
    right
  • 00:10:45
now, the path to the $1 million is not
  • 00:10:49
necessarily harder than the part path to
  • 00:10:53
200,000, right? So to double, you will
  • 00:10:57
always have problems. You will always
  • 00:10:59
    have customer complaints. You will
  • 00:11:02
always have products that launch and
  • 00:11:04
fail at any given level. But the
  • 00:11:08
difference is just when your vision is
  • 00:11:11
that high and and you have a north star
  • 00:11:14
like hitting a million a month, hitting
  • 00:11:17
    5 million a month, hitting 10 million a
  • 00:11:19
month, whatever it is, hitting 100k per
  • 00:11:21
month. Um this really helps you to
  • 00:11:27
essentially decide okay what is actually
  • 00:11:30
important to set the priorities and this
  • 00:11:32
is the difference right if your goal is
  • 00:11:36
    just to
  • 00:11:37
double then your mind will try to
  • 00:11:41
optimize things that you've done up
  • 00:11:44
until now right so you're you're in this
  • 00:11:46
    optimization
  • 00:11:48
    uh you know
  • 00:11:49
mindset which doesn't get you really far
  • 00:11:52
in my in my experience, right? This is
  • 00:11:55
just like trying to make something that
  • 00:11:57
is working okay, a little bit better,
  • 00:12:01
but this is not what gets you huge jumps
  • 00:12:05
when it comes to the revenue, the profit
  • 00:12:07
    of your brand.
  • 00:12:09
So the way to think about it is
  • 00:12:13
really when when you when you decide and
  • 00:12:16
when you set that vision to 10x to 20x
  • 00:12:20
whatever it is in your case um let's say
  • 00:12:23
it's for for your brand and you want to
  • 00:12:24
get to a million a month or a million a
  • 00:12:27
    year first of
  • 00:12:29
all you will have to stop doing 80% of
  • 00:12:33
what you're doing that got you to the
  • 00:12:35
point where you're at and learn. So
  • 00:12:38
basically unlearn the stuff that got you
  • 00:12:40
here and learn the new skills that you
  • 00:12:44
need to know to get to the next level.
  • 00:12:47
And this is something that you know took
  • 00:12:49
me some time and what I see like a lot
  • 00:12:53
of times when I coach founders and um I
  • 00:12:57
obviously tell them and I tell you now
  • 00:13:01
    also think big.
  • 00:13:04
think big because the path like the
  • 00:13:07
effort, the grind, and you're an
  • 00:13:09
entrepreneur so you know exactly what
  • 00:13:11
I'm talking about. The the sleepless
  • 00:13:14
nights, the um late night sessions like
  • 00:13:18
the one that I'm doing right now, um
  • 00:13:20
they're not going to go away. This is
  • 00:13:23
the same. If your goal is 2x or 10x, it
  • 00:13:26
doesn't change. So set the higher goal
  • 00:13:30
and then be open to unlearn what got you
  • 00:13:35
to this point. Right? So one big thing
  • 00:13:38
and that's actually the whole video that
  • 00:13:39
I shared with you right now is I had to
  • 00:13:44
unlearn to do everything by myself,
  • 00:13:48
right? To try to uh you know be good at
  • 00:13:52
every single thing. I had to unlearn
  • 00:13:54
that to get to the next level, right? To
  • 00:13:58
to then understand, oh, it's actually
  • 00:14:01
    actually not
  • 00:14:03
harder, but I'm just doing different
  • 00:14:06
things, right? And in that case, I'm
  • 00:14:08
finding other people that are uh that
  • 00:14:12
have complimentary skill sets, so I can
  • 00:14:14
do what I do best more, right? So, it's
  • 00:14:19
actually easier if you think like that.
  • 00:14:22
It's easier. it's more fun and um and
  • 00:14:26
the results speak for themselves. So
  • 00:14:28
this this is really the last point. Make
  • 00:14:32
sure that you are clear on your vision
  • 00:14:34
because this is something that you know
  • 00:14:36
keeps a lot of entrepreneurs in general
  • 00:14:39
in the hamster wheel, right? um the
  • 00:14:42
vision is just not big enough because
  • 00:14:45
they think that the bigger the goal the
  • 00:14:48
bigger the effort which is not true
  • 00:14:50
which is which sounds weird but it's at
  • 00:14:53
least that's what what I experienced and
  • 00:14:56
um what I also learn from from mentors
  • 00:14:59
uh all the time. So yeah, to to
  • 00:15:02
summarize, I think to get your brand to
  • 00:15:05
    a million a month or a million a year,
  • 00:15:08
whatever your goal is, make sure that
  • 00:15:11
you're clear on your skill set. What are
  • 00:15:13
    you good
  • 00:15:14
at? Double down on that. Create a
  • 00:15:18
setting in which you can do what you do
  • 00:15:22
best all the time and you have other
  • 00:15:26
people that take care of the rest and
  • 00:15:29
they have their genius zones in that
  • 00:15:32
space. This is the fastest, most
  • 00:15:36
efficient, most fun way I've discovered
  • 00:15:40
to get brands to a million a month. Uh
  • 00:15:42
get them to 10 million a year. A million
  • 00:15:46
a year. Um, so yeah, that's what I do in
  • 00:15:49
in my e-commerce brands uh which are
  • 00:15:52
doing uh over 900k per month
  • 00:15:56
combined. And this this month actually
  • 00:15:58
we're going to hit the million a month.
  • 00:16:00
You can check out the rest of my
  • 00:16:02
channel. I have more tactical videos.
  • 00:16:04
Um, but I wanted to I wanted to share
  • 00:16:07
this uh, you know, non-tactical, more
  • 00:16:10
behind the scenes uh, video so that you
  • 00:16:13
see that it's uh, yeah, it's not
  • 00:16:16
necessarily harder um, or as hard as you
  • 00:16:20
think if you respect these three
  • 00:16:22
principles that I shared with you. So
  • 00:16:25
yeah, um, I hope that was helpful and
  • 00:16:28
um, I let me know in the in the
  • 00:16:30
comments. super curious what what your
  • 00:16:32
experiences are and um yeah, make sure
  • 00:16:36
to follow these three steps and um and
  • 00:16:40
let me know how it worked out. So, see
  • 00:16:43
you in the next one. Take care.
