- 00:04:17person to get the inside scoop on
- 00:04:19everything going on the one and only net
- 00:04:21sweet EVP and founder Evan Goldberg Evan
- 00:04:23thank you for being on netet TV thanks
- 00:04:25for having me and congratulations on an
- 00:04:27amazing Kyo I think this might be my my
- 00:04:30favorite one yet it really took me back
- 00:04:32to seeing the Redwoods for the first
- 00:04:34time in Northern California which you
- 00:04:35can appreciate how magnificent they are
- 00:04:38so with that as we heard in your keynote
- 00:04:41and have seen all over the Expo our
- 00:04:43sweet World theme for this year is all
- 00:04:45systems grow can you tell us about what
- 00:04:47that means and why it's important yeah
- 00:04:49well we have a great set of customers
- 00:04:52here at sweet world and a great set of
- 00:04:53customers all around the world we
- 00:04:55announced um over 40,000 of them and
- 00:04:58they're all seeking growth
- 00:05:00um they want but they want to grow
- 00:05:01efficiently and so that's what the
- 00:05:03conference is all about is showing how
- 00:05:05you can have this foundation for growth
- 00:05:06with netw Suite uh that can help you be
- 00:05:09successful in the most efficient way
- 00:05:11possible yeah and you did compare netw
- 00:05:15to a root system that is really laying
- 00:05:17that Foundation of growth for businesses
- 00:05:19to remain steady and strong in the face
- 00:05:21of change we've seen a lot of change
- 00:05:23over the years economically obviously
- 00:05:26and technologically with AI advancements
- 00:05:29why is having a foundation of growth
- 00:05:30more important and relevant now than
- 00:05:32ever before yeah well in the face of
- 00:05:35constant change there's really only one
- 00:05:37thing you control um which is how you
- 00:05:39run your organization and uh you want to
- 00:05:42run your organization like a redwood
- 00:05:44forest where everything is
- 00:05:46interconnected and um you're maximizing
- 00:05:48your growth potential you're utilizing
- 00:05:51all of the uh nutrients and sunlight
- 00:05:54that are coming into the ecosystem
- 00:05:56effectively and it really ties back to
- 00:05:58why I started net Suite in the first
- 00:05:59place
- 00:06:00and in my first company I didn't have
- 00:06:01anything like a technology Foundation I
- 00:06:03had a lot of disconnected applications
- 00:06:05that didn't talk to each other it was
- 00:06:06really hard to get not only to get sort
- 00:06:09of that bird's eye view that you want
- 00:06:11above the trees but also to figure out
- 00:06:14how to how to move forward and uh how to
- 00:06:16execute effectively across the entire
- 00:06:18organization with collaboration so
- 00:06:20really from the beginning netsuite has
- 00:06:22been about building the strong
- 00:06:24technology foundation and as we've
- 00:06:26improved it you know we're giving more
- 00:06:27and more elements that organizations can
- 00:06:29use to achieve that profitable growth
- 00:06:32yeah and I think a really neat part of
- 00:06:35this metaphor specifically is that when
- 00:06:37you have this Foundation of growth and
- 00:06:38this root system the ecosystem the
- 00:06:40nutrients the sunshine all of it it's
- 00:06:42all happening simultaneously and you
- 00:06:44don't even know it it's happening which
- 00:06:47I think is very relevant to what we're
- 00:06:48what we're trying to do here so another
- 00:06:51really exciting announcement is our re
- 00:06:53is our new Redwood ux which from what I
- 00:06:57understand has been in the works for a
- 00:06:58few years so I'm sure it felt amazing to
- 00:07:00finally be able to talk about that on
- 00:07:01stage can you tell us what the
- 00:07:03inspiration was behind it and what
- 00:07:05impact customers can expect from yeah
- 00:07:08well Hillel talked a lot about it and he
- 00:07:10and his team have really been the
- 00:07:11Pioneers the Geniuses behind it but
- 00:07:13working really closely with the netsuite
- 00:07:15team and you know as as he pointed out
- 00:07:18it's really about uh making everything
- 00:07:21you do a natural extension of your work
- 00:07:24and uh obviously the best UI as we say
- 00:07:27is no UI where like you said things are
- 00:07:29happening behind the scenes and when you
- 00:07:31do need to interact with the system
- 00:07:34participate you want that interaction to
- 00:07:36be easy quick and natural and um so you
- 00:07:40know pioneering and working with the
- 00:07:42Redwood team we're now rolling out these
- 00:07:44Redwood features to all of our netw
- 00:07:46suite customers over the coming months
- 00:07:48and I'm so excited to see what they do
- 00:07:49with them it really is so exciting um
- 00:07:52just to hear everything that's happening
- 00:07:54and a big part of the Redwood ux is ai
- 00:07:58ai everywhere we're all about it and
- 00:07:59we've been embedding AI in the suite for
- 00:08:01years way before it was cool and you
- 00:08:04announced even more AI enhancements um
- 00:08:07can you talk about those yeah I you know
- 00:08:10we um have said all along that we expect
- 00:08:13AI to be everywhere to be an intrinsic
- 00:08:15part of the system not an add-on you
- 00:08:17know I've said many times that a
- 00:08:18business system without AI is like a car
- 00:08:20without wheels you you wouldn't buy that
- 00:08:22car on the lot um you want the one with
- 00:08:25wheels and so um you know we're
- 00:08:28constantly adding Wheels
- 00:08:30and uh so some of the things yeah that
- 00:08:32we've done um you know we text inhance
- 00:08:34we announced last year which is a super
- 00:08:35cool use of large language models to
- 00:08:38provide contextual text in the different
- 00:08:40parts of the system um now there's kind
- 00:08:43of this you know control center called
- 00:08:45the netu prom Studio that lets you
- 00:08:47actually customize it for your business
- 00:08:49so how it works in you know in your
- 00:08:51particular business for your particular
- 00:08:53fields that you find important that
- 00:08:55customers are that your users are
- 00:08:56entering data into you have this new
- 00:08:58control so that's super cool um we're
- 00:09:00seeing that we're going to be adding um
- 00:09:02ask Oracle uh which is really you know
- 00:09:05what do you do with Oracle you ask it a
- 00:09:07question and it gives you an answer and
- 00:09:08so that sort of AI intelligence within
- 00:09:11the global search box is something that
- 00:09:13every user is going to get take
- 00:09:14advantage of in addition to the power
- 00:09:16that that uh capability already has so
- 00:09:19you know you're going to see it coming
- 00:09:20in every single feature we think about
- 00:09:22how can we make this AI feature better
- 00:09:24and make it an intrinsic part of your
- 00:09:26experience yeah when I was first reading
- 00:09:29about all of the AI powered features in
- 00:09:32Redwood specifically and and all the
- 00:09:34updates that we have coming to the suite
- 00:09:36I really put myself in a business owner
- 00:09:39shoes not that I've have ever started a
- 00:09:40company but that sense of fear that you
- 00:09:43probably have and just nervousness of
- 00:09:47I'm putting all this on the line and to
- 00:09:49your point earlier you started a company
- 00:09:51really without any help you didn't have
- 00:09:53this Foundation of growth you didn't
- 00:09:54have ai enhancements I'm sure I don't
- 00:09:57know maybe you did no not so no
- 00:09:59nutrients and no Foundation of growth
- 00:10:02and so to look at these Oracle
- 00:10:04assistants specifically it's amazing to
- 00:10:07think that they can really be the
- 00:10:08partners for our customers in building
- 00:10:10their business and it's this trusty
- 00:10:11partner that is with you along the way
- 00:10:14and hopefully can alleviate some of that
- 00:10:15fear that you may be feeling when you're
- 00:10:17starting a business or trying to grow a
- 00:10:19business yeah and you know you say that
- 00:10:20you you haven't started a business but
- 00:10:22you are an entrepreneur in your role and
- 00:10:24most you know everybody here that's at
- 00:10:26net site I mean at sweet world some of
- 00:10:28them are Founders some of them are in
- 00:10:31finance some of them are in sales um
- 00:10:34everybody wants to be entrepreneurial in
- 00:10:36achieving their goals and so we designed
- 00:10:39Nets suite for everybody for everybody
- 00:10:41in the business it's one system
- 00:10:43everybody uses the same system um
- 00:10:45everything you need to grow all in one
- 00:10:47place we love to hear it so with redwood
- 00:10:51ux specifically you know nswe is a huge
- 00:10:54part of our customers lives I I always
- 00:10:57think that is such an honor when I think
- 00:10:58about that so wild I'm like these people
- 00:11:01TR are trusting us to run their business
- 00:11:03and they likely log into netsuite every
- 00:11:04single day it is a daily part of their
- 00:11:07lives and so we obviously want them to
- 00:11:09have a good experience with it how do
- 00:11:11you foresee this new experience changing
- 00:11:14the way they interact with it and how do
- 00:11:16you think that's part of a broader shift
- 00:11:18in the Way businesses are interacting
- 00:11:20with their users yeah well I mean the
- 00:11:24next generation of users are coming you
- 00:11:26know obviously incredibly digitally
- 00:11:27Savvy social media savvy
- 00:11:29mobile Savvy they come in with
- 00:11:32expectations that the tools that they
- 00:11:33use in their personal lives they're
- 00:11:35going to get the same kind of
- 00:11:36interactivity and power and the tools
- 00:11:38they use in their business which they're
- 00:11:40literally doing for like half of their
- 00:11:42waking hours and so our goal really is
- 00:11:44to make each user fall in love with
- 00:11:46netsuite one interaction at a time and
- 00:11:49um we have an amazing team an incredible
- 00:11:51collaboration with Oracle and I think
- 00:11:54we're really going to be leapfrogging
- 00:11:55the typical business application that
- 00:11:57people have to sort of contend with
- 00:11:59as uh as Hill talked about those
- 00:12:01barriers that right now they they have
- 00:12:04to LEAP in order to get their job done
- 00:12:07and so that's you know to me that's
- 00:12:09that's what it's all about you know we
- 00:12:12entrepreneurs and I'm talking about
- 00:12:14everybody in the company they want to be
- 00:12:16building the company they don't want to
- 00:12:17be wrestling with technology and so when
- 00:12:19it's a seamless extension of their work
- 00:12:21that's how they're going to be most
- 00:12:23productive absolutely and kind of going
- 00:12:25back to some of the exciting new
- 00:12:27Solutions exciting updates that you
- 00:12:29mentioned earlier so again bringing back
- 00:12:31AI we can't get enough of AI we have two
- 00:12:34solutions Enterprise Performance
- 00:12:36Management and Nets analytics Warehouse
- 00:12:38which are really helping businesses go
- 00:12:41above the trees we're also sticking with
- 00:12:42our our forest theme here so those two
- 00:12:46solutions have also been infused with
- 00:12:48even more AI can you kind of give us a a
- 00:12:50brief overview of of what's coming for
- 00:12:52those Solutions well you know what's
- 00:12:54great about those Solutions is they've
- 00:12:55been designed you know by uh the or
- 00:12:59Enterprise development teams that are
- 00:13:01building them for large companies we've
- 00:13:02been able to take those that power scale
- 00:13:05it down to make it appropriate for netw
- 00:13:07business so you're sort of getting all
- 00:13:08that power but with the ease of use
- 00:13:10that's appropriate for running it with
- 00:13:12netsuite and they have enormous
- 00:13:15investment in AI um you know in planning
- 00:13:18you can obviously imagine that there's
- 00:13:20lots of ways that you can do Predictive
- 00:13:22Analytics to help foresee what might be
- 00:13:24happening to do sort of what if scenario
- 00:13:26planning and also to monitor um the
- 00:13:29plans and make sure that uh the actuals
- 00:13:32are sort of meeting them and when
- 00:13:33they're not give you sort of an early
- 00:13:35warning on the uh analytics warehouse
- 00:13:37front again there's so much possibility
- 00:13:39for deeply reaching into the data to get
- 00:13:43insights and we've shown demos of things
- 00:13:45like um you know predictive uh days to
- 00:13:48pay stuff like that where it's looking
- 00:13:50at overall patterns with that AI engine
- 00:13:53that can do much more than maybe the
- 00:13:55human eye can just by looking at charts
- 00:13:57so in both circumstances um we're going
- 00:13:59to continue to invest and Oracle is
- 00:14:01going to continue to invest in AI
- 00:14:03capabilities Within These powerful
- 00:14:05Enterprise tools and then we're going to
- 00:14:06bring them to the netw suite Community
- 00:14:09more AI more AI everywhere so how do you
- 00:14:11think these two solutions are going to
- 00:14:13change the way our customers make their
- 00:14:16decisions well I mean I think that
- 00:14:19companies have always struggled with
- 00:14:20planning and spreadsheets and sort of
- 00:14:22these disconnected planning processes
- 00:14:24unifying the planning process and then
- 00:14:26have that AI behind it as your company
- 00:14:29grows is incredibly critical I mean
- 00:14:31companies get way more complex and you
- 00:14:34can't just kind of on the back of the
- 00:14:35napkin decide how you're going to invest
- 00:14:37over the next 12 24 months so that's
- 00:14:39where these powerful planning tools come
- 00:14:41in and similarly there's an explosion of
- 00:14:43data uh companies have data of their own
- 00:14:46they're using multiple systems you know
- 00:14:48netsuite allows you to sort of minimize
- 00:14:49the number of systems you use but every
- 00:14:51company has multiple systems including
- 00:14:53internal systems and that's just leads
- 00:14:55to a pro proliferation of data and if
- 00:14:57the data is scattered all over the place
- 00:14:59place you can't make conclusions from
- 00:15:01netsuite analytics Warehouse is the
- 00:15:02solution for that bringing the data all
- 00:15:04in one place tying it together so you
- 00:15:06can really see the big picture and um we
- 00:15:08are seeing incredible take up of netw
- 00:15:10analytics warehouse and the use cases
- 00:15:12that our customers are showing us are
- 00:15:14things that we didn't even think of when
- 00:15:15we came up with the product yeah I hear
- 00:15:17that's our or one of our most popular
- 00:15:20products which is which is really cool
- 00:15:22and it's getting even better making
- 00:15:24taking all that data and driving even
- 00:15:26more insights for decision- making
- 00:15:28absolutely Ely so talking about netsuite
- 00:15:31text enhance you touched on that as well
- 00:15:33and you actually announced that at sweet
- 00:15:35world last year and for those who may
- 00:15:37not know it is our generative AI
- 00:15:40solution where you it essentially takes
- 00:15:41your netw data and it generates
- 00:15:43contextual personalized content from it
- 00:15:46very cool it's getting even cooler I'm
- 00:15:49curious what was the process of
- 00:15:52conceptualizing how to take text enhance
- 00:15:54to the next level and how was prompt
- 00:15:55Studio ultimately designed yeah well you
- 00:15:58know at netsuite one of our philosophies
- 00:16:00is that every business is different
- 00:16:02there's a lot of commonality and we have
- 00:16:04things like Sweet Success that package
- 00:16:06up best practices from thousands of
- 00:16:07companies similarly texting hands comes
- 00:16:10out of the box which with a lot of
- 00:16:11intelligence about how businesses work
- 00:16:14so when you uh are entering using text
- 00:16:17enhance with a sales description it
- 00:16:19knows to bring in the price and to bring
- 00:16:21in other information we've kind of
- 00:16:23preconfigured it to do that but now
- 00:16:25because one of the things that we really
- 00:16:27believe in is that we want to make netw
- 00:16:29Suite tailored for your business and so
- 00:16:31that's where prom Studio comes in where
- 00:16:33you can take the power of text enhance
- 00:16:34that's already been made appropriate
- 00:16:36sort of for all horizontal businesses
- 00:16:39and adapt it to your particular business
- 00:16:41get your style of writing in there pull
- 00:16:43in the custom fields that you think are
- 00:16:45important to include in the sales
- 00:16:47description for example and so that you
- 00:16:49know the combination of kind of a
- 00:16:51running start with the power of text
- 00:16:53enhance that we build in and then that
- 00:16:56flexibility to adapt it with prom studio
- 00:16:58is what makes it the killer uh feature
- 00:17:01killer feature for sure and I find it so
- 00:17:05fascinating that netsuite is really
- 00:17:07customizable already but now we're
- 00:17:10taking these individual Solutions and
- 00:17:12really customizing each solution at a
- 00:17:14granular level for customers to to
- 00:17:17customize every aspect of how they run
- 00:17:19their business which is which is very
- 00:17:21deep yeah and you know the thing is is
- 00:17:22that you're not on your own I mean we
- 00:17:24have ACS Advanced customer support which
- 00:17:28what's so cool about ACS is they learn
- 00:17:30your business but they also know netw
- 00:17:32Suite deeply so they can help you
- 00:17:33configure these tools they can help you
- 00:17:35figure out how to use the latest AI
- 00:17:37features and in fact we have an AI
- 00:17:39Playbook that we announced for ACS to
- 00:17:42help you adapt your you know your
- 00:17:44business adapt netsuite to your business
- 00:17:47in the context of these AI features so
- 00:17:49you're not alone with all this power
- 00:17:51between netsuite
- 00:17:53ACS the these Business Leaders are never
- 00:17:56alone right so speaking of collaboration
- 00:18:00um we we obviously want to collaborate
- 00:18:03but we want the right tools how does
- 00:18:04netsuite facilitate collaboration and
- 00:18:06connection for our
- 00:18:08customers well I mean there's so many
- 00:18:11different elements of collaboration um
- 00:18:14of course this the suite itself is the
- 00:18:16ultimate collaborative tool because
- 00:18:17everybody's using the same system
- 00:18:19everybody's playing from the same
- 00:18:20Playbook um including your customers in
- 00:18:23that collaboration with sweet Commerce
- 00:18:24my account for example um so that you
- 00:18:27have a really uh you know electronic
- 00:18:29close relationship not on the back of a
- 00:18:32napkin with your customers our ecosystem
- 00:18:35all these great sdn partners that we
- 00:18:38have here at the show at the Expo
- 00:18:40they're part of that collaboration we
- 00:18:41collaborate deeply with them and um and
- 00:18:44then you know we uh offer connectors to
- 00:18:47lots of different tools that you might
- 00:18:50use Amazon point of Sal systems Shopify
- 00:18:54and we announced here um our first uh
- 00:18:58connector to Salesforce and I joked on
- 00:19:00stage that um Mark benof performed
- 00:19:03Cindy's and my wedding ceremony um 26
- 00:19:07years ago and now we're finally marrying
- 00:19:09net Sweden salesforce.com wow so it is
- 00:19:12it is a big Union here yeah that is
- 00:19:14beautiful we've come full circle you you
- 00:19:16and Cindy have come full circle and and
- 00:19:18mark So finally Evan this is our 13th
- 00:19:22sweet world which is pretty cool it is
- 00:19:25my fifth sweet world and I can say from
- 00:19:28personal experience it does get bigger
- 00:19:30and better every year it's always an
- 00:19:32honor to be here it it's it's an amazing
- 00:19:35experience but turning it back to our
- 00:19:37customers what do you hope they get out
- 00:19:39of sweet world this year well there's
- 00:19:41some things that you know are the same
- 00:19:43every year I mean that chance to network
- 00:19:45between the communities of customers
- 00:19:48partners and netw Suite employees I mean
- 00:19:50that's where the magic happens and uh so
- 00:19:53you know since it's the biggest sweet
- 00:19:54world ever there's the most opportunity
- 00:19:57for that kind of networking in
- 00:19:59collaboration and um you know I
- 00:20:02obviously uh with our great breakout
- 00:20:04sessions there's so much to learn so I
- 00:20:06hope customers come back inspired to
- 00:20:08really leverage that Foundation that
- 00:20:10they have uh to drive efficient growth
- 00:20:13of their business and to achieve their
- 00:20:15Visions every business every
- 00:20:16Organization for profit not for profit
- 00:20:19they have a vision we're an enabler
- 00:20:21ultimately the entrepreneur they do the
- 00:20:24hard work of making it happen we don't
- 00:20:25want to be standing in their way we want
- 00:20:27to be giving them that advice and
- 00:20:29assistance to make them achieve their
- 00:20:30goals faster and easier right we're
- 00:20:33we're that Foundation of growth we
- 00:20:34provide the nutrients and the Sun but
- 00:20:36they have to plant the seeds is what it
- 00:20:38sounds like that's right awesome well
- 00:20:39thank you so much again Evan for being
- 00:20:41on netset TV it is such a pleasure and I
- 00:20:44hope you have an amazing rest of your
- 00:20:45sweet worlds thanks for having me and
- 00:20:47good luck with the rest of the shows and
- 00:20:50it's it's a it's a it's a great thing
- 00:20:51that you guys do here bringing the news
- 00:20:53to everybody in the netset community a
- 00:20:55well thank you EV and little sneak peek
- 00:20:57you'll actually be back back I will be
- 00:20:59back not not like this not quite like
- 00:21:01this not quite like this but we will
- 00:21:03catch you later on this week looking
- 00:21:04forward to it rock on it little teaser
- 00:21:07everyone all right well thank you Evan
- 00:21:09and for all of you we'll be sitting down
- 00:21:11with our SVP of technology and AI Brian
- 00:21:14chess to talk about all things AI right
- 00:21:17after this break we'll see you real
- 00:21:19soon they say do what you love and the
- 00:21:21money will follow my passion for making
- 00:21:23life beautiful led to a successful
- 00:21:25design firm booming online sales and a
- 00:21:27TV show it also led to chaos endless
- 00:21:30spreadsheets and no single source of
- 00:21:32Truth we couldn't scale so we chose Nets
- 00:21:35Suite by Oracle now I get immediate
- 00:21:37visibility across the business from
- 00:21:39revenue to customers and fulfillment
- 00:21:42clean simple beautiful netu is critical
- 00:21:45to the success of my
- 00:21:49business as you've heard at netsuite
- 00:21:52we're all about AI everywhere and we
- 00:21:54continue to embed even more AI
- 00:21:56functionality into the suite to help
- 00:21:58your business Drive productivity and
- 00:22:01efficiency and I'm actually on the AI
- 00:22:03Arena on the Expo floor where energy is
- 00:22:07buzzing there's a lot going on and here
- 00:22:10attendees can actually come and see live
- 00:22:12product demos of all the new AI features
- 00:22:15that Evan announced it's really exciting
- 00:22:17super cool and now Christina I hear
- 00:22:20we're going to dive even deeper into our
- 00:22:23AI strategy over to you thanks Tori and
- 00:22:26Brian welcome to Nets sweet TV are you
- 00:22:29enjoying your time here at Sweet World
- 00:22:31Christina thanks thanks for having me
- 00:22:32you know it's it's really things are
- 00:22:35going really well uh we're back in Las
- 00:22:37Vegas it's amazing what you remember and
- 00:22:40you don't remember from year to year uh
- 00:22:42like for example it's 102 outside I mean
- 00:22:46it's amazing it was hot last year too
- 00:22:48but somehow that just disappears from my
- 00:22:50memory and especially you coming from
- 00:22:51the Bay Area I you probably got off that
- 00:22:53airplane
- 00:22:54like really hit I'll tell you the other
- 00:22:56thing that really stands out to me
- 00:22:59that maybe doesn't come through if if
- 00:23:01you're watching from from home um is
- 00:23:04just how giant that keynote tent is yes
- 00:23:07like wow that thing is Big that's the
- 00:23:09kind of thing Las Vegas knows how to do
- 00:23:11they Las Vegas knows how to go big
- 00:23:12that's it go big or go home right let's
- 00:23:15get down into it okay so we've been
- 00:23:17eding AI into the suite for years but
- 00:23:19right now we're talking about AI
- 00:23:22everywhere what's our strategy behind
- 00:23:24that and what does it actually mean to
- 00:23:26put AI everywhere it means a couple of
- 00:23:29different things so AI everywhere means
- 00:23:32things like text enhance that appears in
- 00:23:34more than 200 places across the suite so
- 00:23:37it's the same feature but just about
- 00:23:39everywhere you can write text in net
- 00:23:40Suite you can enhance it with text
- 00:23:42enhance so AI everywhere means these
- 00:23:45horizontal features that kind of go
- 00:23:47everywhere but it means more than that
- 00:23:49so for example it's features that
- 00:23:51everybody uses so new this year sweet
- 00:23:54analytics assistant so reporting is
- 00:23:57something just about everybody needs to
- 00:23:58do and now you can just ask for what you
- 00:24:01want in English language and get the
- 00:24:03report or the graph or the chart that
- 00:24:05you're
- 00:24:06after but there's more there's more it
- 00:24:10also means every role in net Suite
- 00:24:13should get AI assistance so for example
- 00:24:17net site planning and budgeting has uh
- 00:24:19AI narrative reporting in it now uh or
- 00:24:22financial exception management um
- 00:24:24applies to finan Prof professionals and
- 00:24:27you'll see us do more and more of that
- 00:24:29applying AI to make specific jobs in
- 00:24:31that Suite better so AI everywhere is a
- 00:24:34big thing absolutely so what are some of
- 00:24:37the biggest challenges we are trying to
- 00:24:39help our customers with with the use of
- 00:24:42AI so we we think about the benefits
- 00:24:45that AI brings in two ways we think
- 00:24:48about Insight where we want you to be
- 00:24:50able to see further into the data to
- 00:24:53find to make conclusions that maybe you
- 00:24:55wouldn't see superficially and then also
- 00:24:57producct
- 00:24:58we want people to be able to accomplish
- 00:25:00their tasks faster so let's talk about a
- 00:25:03little bit more what we were saying
- 00:25:04before let's talk about the AI functions
- 00:25:06can you break down those functions AI
- 00:25:08servers and the suite M when we think
- 00:25:11about how users are going to perceive AI
- 00:25:14it really comes down to kind of two
- 00:25:16types of AI they're advisers they're
- 00:25:19going to provide advice yeah so tell you
- 00:25:21what's going on with the numbers so you
- 00:25:23see advisers and then you also see
- 00:25:25assistants where we are trying trying to
- 00:25:28make things go faster and sometimes it
- 00:25:30even pops up in the name sweet analytics
- 00:25:33assistant for for example so uh advice
- 00:25:36and assistance perfect um I think what's
- 00:25:39so interesting and unique about netu AI
- 00:25:42is because we are actually using this
- 00:25:44Oracle technology it gives a great
- 00:25:46Advantage for us to put it in our suite
- 00:25:47can you talk a little bit about that so
- 00:25:49Oracle technology is a re really really
- 00:25:52tremendous advantage to us it allows us
- 00:25:54to move faster so we're unveiling I
- 00:25:57don't even know how many AI features
- 00:25:59this year we can move quickly because
- 00:26:02we've got that Oracle technology
- 00:26:04Foundation it does more for us than that
- 00:26:06actually one of the things that sets us
- 00:26:08apart is we're not charging more for AI
- 00:26:11functionality uh it's just built in not
- 00:26:14bolted on so there's no upcharge for it
- 00:26:16and that's also because of that Oracle
- 00:26:19Foundation you know there's another
- 00:26:21really big advantage that we have though
- 00:26:22in addition to that Oracle technology
- 00:26:24foundation and that is right in our name
- 00:26:27net site yeah the fact that it's a suite
- 00:26:30means we get insight into lots of
- 00:26:33different parts of the business and we
- 00:26:34can have the AI bring all of that
- 00:26:37together I'd say those two things the
- 00:26:39Oracle technology and the fact that it's
- 00:26:41a suite is what gives us a leg up with
- 00:26:43AI it's such an advantage so interesting
- 00:26:46now you are going to be taking to the
- 00:26:47stage on Wednesday and talking going
- 00:26:50even deeper into all of this AI
- 00:26:53discussion can you give us a little bit
- 00:26:55of a sneak peek of what we can expect
- 00:26:57well I can tell you what I am most
- 00:27:00excited about so I started my career at
- 00:27:02netsuite as a software developer and so
- 00:27:05I love this idea that people can build
- 00:27:08their own Ai and that starts with prompt
- 00:27:12studio so instead of just clicking a
- 00:27:14button in text enhance and having it
- 00:27:16enhance the text you can write your own
- 00:27:17prompts and tell the AI what you want it
- 00:27:19to do and then install that anywhere in
- 00:27:22the suite you want it to show up
- 00:27:23including in things like custom Fields
- 00:27:26so really really powerful for for people
- 00:27:28who aren't software developers to begin
- 00:27:31to to get what they want out of the AI
- 00:27:33and customize it for their needs but if
- 00:27:35you are a software developer we're also
- 00:27:38building AI into sweet script in a way
- 00:27:41so that people who are building on the
- 00:27:43platform can create their own AI
- 00:27:46functionality things that we haven't
- 00:27:47even thought up with with the nlm module
- 00:27:51you can embed an llm wherever you want
- 00:27:53it to be in the suite and tell it what
- 00:27:54you want it to do so I think that's
- 00:27:56tremendously powerful up there's more go
- 00:28:00I love your excitement behind this I'm
- 00:28:02excited too so Oracle code assist is is
- 00:28:05coming out this year that's an oracle
- 00:28:07product meant to help developers using
- 00:28:09AI Oracle code assist knows sweet script
- 00:28:14okay and that means if you are a
- 00:28:16developer and you are writing sweet
- 00:28:17script on the platform you can get help
- 00:28:20right in your IDE writing that code um
- 00:28:23it's really a fantastic time to be
- 00:28:26developing on the platform it's
- 00:28:27remarkable truly um you're very excited
- 00:28:30about this I'm very excited about this
- 00:28:31but let's talk about maybe some Business
- 00:28:34Leaders that might be a little bit more
- 00:28:36hesitant about AI than way than we are
- 00:28:39right um so what what is your advice to
- 00:28:41those people who are hesitant where can
- 00:28:43they start well I look at what's
- 00:28:45happened in the in the last couple of
- 00:28:47years with AI we've seen this tremendous
- 00:28:49acceleration so there's so much
- 00:28:51happening just every day uh that's new
- 00:28:54with AI but I'll tell you this I still
- 00:28:56think we are closer to the beginning of
- 00:28:58the road than we are to the end so
- 00:29:00there's a lot more yet to come now is
- 00:29:03the right time to jump in to get started
- 00:29:06uh uh so that you can start progressing
- 00:29:08up the curve and one of the great things
- 00:29:10about where AI is going is you don't
- 00:29:12need an expert to be an expert in order
- 00:29:14to do it so find something find
- 00:29:17something that's delivering real
- 00:29:19business value whether that's product
- 00:29:21recommendations for salespeople or
- 00:29:23financial exception management for the
- 00:29:25finance team find something and start to
- 00:29:28get value out of it you'll build from
- 00:29:31there I guarantee it that's such
- 00:29:32reassurance right to say that you have
- 00:29:34the control over this Right the II
- 00:29:36doesn't have the control over you so I'm
- 00:29:37sure a lot of our Business Leaders will
- 00:29:38be very reassured to hear you speak of
- 00:29:40it that way well you know that's a very
- 00:29:43important aspect of what we do with AI
- 00:29:45is we always maintain a human in the
- 00:29:47loop right so we we are uh want the AI
- 00:29:51to advise and to assist but we're not
- 00:29:54ready for the robots to take over so we
- 00:29:56keep a human in the loop
- 00:29:58this is all I need to do thank you I'm
- 00:30:01excited that there is a human in that
- 00:30:02Loop but lastly so kind of broadly where
- 00:30:07do you see AI going truly in the long
- 00:30:09term you've talked about what we can do
- 00:30:10and be reassured right now where do you
- 00:30:12see it in the future well I I think
- 00:30:14we're going to keep building on that
- 00:30:16theme of AI everywhere and you saw two
- 00:30:19things in evans's keynote that I that I
- 00:30:21think sort of point the way the Swede
- 00:30:23analytics assistant is one of them where
- 00:30:25you start to talk to the system and ask
- 00:30:27it for what you want and it just
- 00:30:28delivers that thing back but where
- 00:30:30that's going is ask Oracle where in any
- 00:30:34search box in in the product you just
- 00:30:37ask for what you want whether that's an
- 00:30:39Insight that that you want to give how
- 00:30:41much did we sell last month uh or
- 00:30:43whether it's something you want to know
- 00:30:45about how to use the suite or if it's
- 00:30:47something that you want your session to
- 00:30:50do right then and there uh um ask Oracle
- 00:30:53is going to be the One-Stop shop for
- 00:30:55talking to the suite so it's in answers
- 00:30:58basically for the information that you
- 00:31:00have the more information you have the
- 00:31:02more you can make quick business
- 00:31:04decisions that are going to keep your
- 00:31:05business moving forward yes exactly
- 00:31:08right exciting times to come thank you
- 00:31:11Brian we just heard about some exciting
- 00:31:14AI features and now it's time to see
- 00:31:16them in action here's a look at netsuite
- 00:31:18Financial exception management netsuite
- 00:31:21sweet analytics assistant and netw site
- 00:31:24prompt
- 00:31:26Studio Financial EX ception Management's
- 00:31:29AI algorithm is continuously reviewing
- 00:31:31all of my new and updated transactions
- 00:31:34to detect any potential exception as a
- 00:31:37controller I can see all exceptions at a
- 00:31:40glance and for each one the system
- 00:31:42predicts the potential impact as the
- 00:31:44difference between the expected amount
- 00:31:46and the recorded
- 00:31:49amount I can search for exceptions or
- 00:31:52filter them by accounting period
- 00:31:53subsidiary or status using the Redwood
- 00:31:56filtering system I can review details
- 00:31:59for each exception including similar
- 00:32:01past transactions that can give me more
- 00:32:04context once I make the necessary
- 00:32:06changes I can come back and mark the
- 00:32:08exception as resolved which
- 00:32:09automatically removes it from the
- 00:32:15list Finley comes into work on Monday
- 00:32:18and logs into netsuite on her dashboard
- 00:32:21she sees a pleasant surprise there's
- 00:32:23been a spike in sales over the weekend
- 00:32:26she's curious what caused the spike so
- 00:32:29she asks Oracle which product sold the
- 00:32:32most over the weekend and gets back a
- 00:32:34list of the most recent top selling
- 00:32:37products she notices a larger than usual
- 00:32:40contribution from batteries so she
- 00:32:42clicks on the product to see more detail
- 00:32:45right away she notices a discount
- 00:32:47attached to most of the most recent
- 00:32:49orders she wonders how this originated
- 00:32:52so she asks which campaign triggered
- 00:32:55Weekend sales net s detects her intent
- 00:32:59and shows Finley a campaign that was
- 00:33:01active over the weekend Finley sees this
- 00:33:04as a seasonal sales campaign that was
- 00:33:06just relaunched with an incentive
- 00:33:08discount of 12% for buyers who purchased
- 00:33:10two or more items this seems to be the
- 00:33:13reason for the higher volume of sales
- 00:33:15she can see that the campaign will be
- 00:33:17open for the whole month of September
- 00:33:19and since Finley likes to run a tight
- 00:33:21inventory she now needs to make sure
- 00:33:23that she is covering the expected sales
- 00:33:25increase so now Finley asked the
- 00:33:28question on the top of her mind do we
- 00:33:30have enough inventory to cover the
- 00:33:32campaign netw week gives her an
- 00:33:34inventory snapshot to help her
- 00:33:36understand why's inventory position and
- 00:33:38she has an option to open the sweet
- 00:33:40analytics workbook where this chart
- 00:33:42lives sweet analytics loads her forecast
- 00:33:45chart where Finley can see her original
- 00:33:48forecast numbers she asks what would
- 00:33:51happen if her demand goes up as expected
- 00:33:54netsuite can dial her forecast up and
- 00:33:56down so she asks
- 00:33:58if my demand goes up 20% how many units
- 00:34:01do we need to order neted adjust the
- 00:34:04forecast values 20% and calculates that
- 00:34:07she will be 30 unit short all of this
- 00:34:10data is Right In the Sweet analytics
- 00:34:12chart next Finley asks when these extra
- 00:34:15units need to be ordered and netsuite
- 00:34:18tells her she needs to order by
- 00:34:19September 14th Finley needs to send this
- 00:34:22information to her team to get those
- 00:34:24units ordered so she asks the assistant
- 00:34:27to share the the workbook with Cameron
- 00:34:29her operations manager now her team is
- 00:34:32prepared to handle the increased sales
- 00:34:34volume and Finley can move on to our
- 00:34:36next
- 00:34:38challenge here in the item record I can
- 00:34:40see that the sales description was
- 00:34:42generated using text enhance I can also
- 00:34:45see the format for the content the
- 00:34:47specific marketing tone and the item
- 00:34:49code and name that were used to generate
- 00:34:51the content now let's go to prompt
- 00:34:54Studio I have a list of prompts already
- 00:34:57created in the system including this one
- 00:35:00for the sales description in the
- 00:35:01inventory item when I open it I can see
- 00:35:04all the settings for the record and I
- 00:35:06can see which Fields this prompt is
- 00:35:08deployed to I can give this prompt a
- 00:35:11description and name and in the prompt
- 00:35:13template I can provide instructions in
- 00:35:15plain language to Define which variables
- 00:35:18I want to include to generate my sales
- 00:35:21description maybe I'll play around an
- 00:35:23addd include a recommendation of what to
- 00:35:25wear with this item including possible
- 00:35:27colors
- 00:35:29I'll save this go back to the item
- 00:35:31record and regenerate the
- 00:35:33content now I see a new description that
- 00:35:36includes the
- 00:35:43recommendation we are going to take a
- 00:35:45short break and when we come back we'll
- 00:35:47hear all about what it takes to build
- 00:35:49one of the top selling Shark Tank brands
- 00:35:51of all time you don't want to miss it I
- 00:35:54started on Tucket to give people the
- 00:35:56perfect fit from head to toe customers
- 00:35:59loved us and early growth was incredible
- 00:36:01but problems came with that success
- 00:36:03inventory was a mess and we had no
- 00:36:05realtime visibility into the business we
- 00:36:07turned to net sweep by Oracle to get the
- 00:36:09full Financial picture one source of
- 00:36:11Truth at my fingertips since then we've
- 00:36:14opened 80 stores with another 20 on the
- 00:36:16way and we're expanding into wholesale
- 00:36:18we couldn't grow like this without net
- 00:36:19site for untuck it net site is the
- 00:36:22perfect
- 00:36:24fit welcome back to netset TV I'm here
- 00:36:27with PRX performance CEO and co-founder
- 00:36:30Brian brush Brian thank you so much for
- 00:36:32being on netet TV Tor thanks for having
- 00:36:34me appreciate the opportunity how is
- 00:36:36your sweet world going so far sweet
- 00:36:37world is great I mean this is impressive
- 00:36:39what Oracle netw site puts together
- 00:36:41everything is first class and I'm really
- 00:36:43looking forward to the rest of the
- 00:36:44content over the next few days we love
- 00:36:46to hear that we we spend truly all year
- 00:36:49putting this event together so to hear
- 00:36:50from our customers that they're having a
- 00:36:52good time it really means the most to us
- 00:36:54so Brian you appeared on Shark Tank and
- 00:36:572016 correct can you give us a little
- 00:37:01Shar tank 20 second elevator pitch you
- 00:37:03bet so PRX performance basically we took
- 00:37:072,000-year old technology of Old School
- 00:37:09weightlifting equipment we made it
- 00:37:11better we added shocks so if you want to
- 00:37:13do push-ups you want to do squats you
- 00:37:15want to do pull-ups um bench press you
- 00:37:19can do all that on our equipment but
- 00:37:20when you're not using it takes about a
- 00:37:21second to put it up against a wall and
- 00:37:23only takes up about 4 in of space so
- 00:37:26really any home any wall can you can
- 00:37:28turn it into a gym wow gym everywhere
- 00:37:31all the time absolutely absolutely how
- 00:37:33did you come up with this idea uh we had
- 00:37:36a competitor their slogan was we believe
- 00:37:38in street parking and we're from Fargo
- 00:37:41North Dakota we actually make all of our
- 00:37:42equipment in Fargo and one thing we
- 00:37:45can't do is park in the street during
- 00:37:46the winter with the snow plows so we're
- 00:37:48like how do we create the same gym
- 00:37:50experience but make it take up no space
- 00:37:53you can still put your cars in the
- 00:37:54garage or still have a room downstairs
- 00:37:57you can use for the kids to plan in when
- 00:37:59you're not lifting and the idea was born
- 00:38:01this is really no excuses embodied
- 00:38:04exactly you can put this equipment
- 00:38:06anywhere you do not have an excuse not
- 00:38:08to use it anywhere I think I could get
- 00:38:10on board with this so again you appeared
- 00:38:13on Shark Tank in 2016 and you have grown
- 00:38:16PRX performance to one of the top
- 00:38:18selling Shark Tank brands of all time
- 00:38:20number
- 00:38:2111 all time of all time proud of that
- 00:38:24you know how many episodes that show has
- 00:38:26a lot so many so very very impressive
- 00:38:30what was the secret to growing your
- 00:38:31business and how did you impress Mr
- 00:38:34Wonderful I mean the secret to growing
- 00:38:37the business it's one we hired an
- 00:38:40amazing team uh Shark Tank really
- 00:38:42validated the product but I think a key
- 00:38:45attribute was digital marketing uh this
- 00:38:48was in 2016 when you spent you know $100
- 00:38:52and they call it Raz return on ad spend
- 00:38:54we'd bring $700 back in we averaged
- 00:38:56seven row has so the more money we made
- 00:38:59the more we plugged into it and just
- 00:39:01created a huge awareness and having the
- 00:39:03Shark Tank kind of stamp of approval on
- 00:39:05there and the Kevin o stamp of approval
- 00:39:07was big and you know you mentioned like
- 00:39:09how do you make Kevin happy just give
- 00:39:12him money give him dividends you know
- 00:39:14whenever he's not looking yeah he
- 00:39:15appreciates it yeah he's like that
- 00:39:17that's what we're here for that's what
- 00:39:18we're here doing it I always think what
- 00:39:21is going through their minds what are
- 00:39:23they thinking are they praying are they
- 00:39:25meditating are they are they like giving
- 00:39:27each other pep talks like what is
- 00:39:29happening in that hallway I'm glad you
- 00:39:31asked because we had a funny story there
- 00:39:33too we got led to the hallway and
- 00:39:35they're like here's what's going to
- 00:39:36happen we're going to pull on the string
- 00:39:38and the doors are going to open like
- 00:39:39literally two guys are pulling swings on
- 00:39:41the side of the door that's how those
- 00:39:42doors open automatically and they said
- 00:39:44for some reason the string breaks a lot
- 00:39:46so we're probably going to have to do it
- 00:39:47a few times so we're like okay so we
- 00:39:49kind of didn't really expect and they're
- 00:39:51like all right one two three and both
- 00:39:53doors went open Perfectly we're like oh
- 00:39:55no we were like kind of a shock wow and
- 00:39:57then when you get out on the um stage
- 00:39:59they like stand on your ex so you have
- 00:40:01your ex to stand on you have to wait for
- 00:40:03a minute well the 32 cameras around you
- 00:40:06take photographs while you're waiting
- 00:40:08because you think about it you can't do
- 00:40:09that afterwards either going to be
- 00:40:11jumping for joy or you're going to be
- 00:40:12crying and running out of there it' read
- 00:40:14on your face either way that's the first
- 00:40:16time you meet the Sharks is when you're
- 00:40:18on the stage and you're looking at them
- 00:40:20awkwardly for a minute and then finally
- 00:40:22they're like begin and then you jump
- 00:40:24into your pitch and go from there wow
- 00:40:26there's a lot of buildup a lot of
- 00:40:27buildup so there were so many challenges
- 00:40:30even getting to that that place where
- 00:40:32you're in front of the judges and then a
- 00:40:35slle of challenges I'm sure in actually
- 00:40:37growing the business so what are the top
- 00:40:39challenges you face when when trying to
- 00:40:42scale I mean scaling a business growing
- 00:40:45a business sounds great but every time
- 00:40:47you hit the next level there's all these
- 00:40:50issues like for example our Erp solution
- 00:40:54um we were on another product I won't
- 00:40:56name it
- 00:40:57but um it was not scalable and we
- 00:41:00decided in 2019 to actually go in and
- 00:41:03Implement net Suite cuz like we need
- 00:41:06something we need something cloud-based
- 00:41:08we need something scalable and this
- 00:41:10product actually we kind of this is a
- 00:41:12cautionary tale because we didn't
- 00:41:14install it right away we didn't start on
- 00:41:15our implementation and then Co happened
- 00:41:18in you know early 2020 and our sales
- 00:41:22like we before Shark Tank we were about
- 00:41:24a half million um in 2019 we did 9.4
- 00:41:27million in sales and then in 2020 we
- 00:41:31skyrocketed up to 51
- 00:41:33million and the biggest issue was as we
- 00:41:37were going through this our Erp broke
- 00:41:40down in July and we were putting
- 00:41:43Band-Aids on it just trying to keep it
- 00:41:45up and then on top of that in August of
- 00:41:482020 our building flooded we literally
- 00:41:50walked up the stairs there's water
- 00:41:53coming down the steps we look over at
- 00:41:55the warehouse and out of the dock doors
- 00:41:57there's water coming out like a water
- 00:41:58man broke and not only our offices our
- 00:42:02warehouse was underwater our accounting
- 00:42:04computer was in the water so pretty much
- 00:42:08we had to switch to paper while we then
- 00:42:10started implementing net Suite that was
- 00:42:12a nightmare go and so that just you know
- 00:42:15if you know you're growing the business
- 00:42:17don't put it off dive in hire the right
- 00:42:19people U the right implementation team
- 00:42:22to get it done do it right the first
- 00:42:23time and just go it's funny you you
- 00:42:27mentioned doing things on paper because
- 00:42:29our evpn founder Evan Goldberg was on
- 00:42:31earlier and he was talking about you
- 00:42:33know you can't run a business on a
- 00:42:34napkin you can't you can't run forecasts
- 00:42:37on on a napkin but it wasn't maybe a
- 00:42:39napkin but you were you were you were
- 00:42:41having to kind of make do with what you
- 00:42:44had which was paper before coming to
- 00:42:45netw Suite so that's a pretty incredible
- 00:42:47Story So speaking of Nets Suite how are
- 00:42:49you really utilizing the suite to run
- 00:42:51your business um we're pretty much
- 00:42:54trying the goal is to automate anything
- 00:42:57that's redundant the last thing I want
- 00:42:59is any of my employees to come in during
- 00:43:01the day and doing repetitive tasks um
- 00:43:04you have um save searches you have all
- 00:43:07these different tools inside of native
- 00:43:09netw Suite that you should Implement
- 00:43:11right away and you know I want my
- 00:43:14employees um around the water cooler
- 00:43:18talking about new business ideas or even
- 00:43:20talking about family or you know fun or
- 00:43:22the game last night I don't want them
- 00:43:24talking about the redundancy and the
- 00:43:26errors and everything else just because
- 00:43:28of you know redundant data entry so one
- 00:43:31is really starting off there and just
- 00:43:34looking at what you can automate we did
- 00:43:36that with our warehousing instead of uh
- 00:43:38customer service looking at Excel
- 00:43:40exports uh for shipping uh we tied them
- 00:43:43in a net Suite so they could actually
- 00:43:44see real time what was happening I mean
- 00:43:47that's a better customer service
- 00:43:48experience uh it's a better um you know
- 00:43:51employee uh experience as well so that
- 00:43:54was big and we did some customized tools
- 00:43:57we took um a uh Zone shipping kind of
- 00:44:01customized product and you think about
- 00:44:03it our products are really heavy and we
- 00:44:05only want to touch them once so we found
- 00:44:06a way to automate and consolidate the
- 00:44:08pck pack ship piece all inside of netw
- 00:44:10Suite as well which also reduced
- 00:44:12shipping errors and just made everyone's
- 00:44:14life a lot easier and a lot more
- 00:44:16streamlined and collaborative and you're
- 00:44:18looking at nets analytics Warehouse
- 00:44:21which is our solution that essentially
- 00:44:22takes data from from everywhere
- 00:44:24including netsuite and streamlines it
- 00:44:27and and really helps you glean the
- 00:44:29insights you need to drive better
- 00:44:30decisions so what are you hoping to get
- 00:44:32out of the solution it's the exact same
- 00:44:34thing is you know what's inside of netw
- 00:44:37Suite to begin with but now you get to
- 00:44:40expand you get to go into Shopify you
- 00:44:42get to go into Amazon and whatever your
- 00:44:44email marketing is maybe like clavo and
- 00:44:47pull all those data sources together now
- 00:44:50the different departments you know
- 00:44:51purchasing may look at something
- 00:44:52different from uh you know marketing
- 00:44:55from Manufacturing but if they're all
- 00:44:58looking at the same data from the same
- 00:45:00sources just in a way that suits them on
- 00:45:02their own dashboard everyone's efficient
- 00:45:04everyone's looking at the same data they
- 00:45:06have more productive conversations
- 00:45:08there's less false starts and fire
- 00:45:10drills and it's just a much more
- 00:45:12effective business both from you know
- 00:45:14really a culture side and finally that
- 00:45:16all transfers down to the customer
- 00:45:18experience as well so there are a lot of
- 00:45:21Business Leaders entrepreneurs like
- 00:45:24yourself who are tuning in to netw Sweet
- 00:45:26TV today what advice would you give
- 00:45:30them
- 00:45:33um I my background I'm a CPA so to it's
- 00:45:37all about the bottom line so I don't
- 00:45:40like to spend money but when I do then
- 00:45:43you do it right it's kind of like when
- 00:45:45we committed to netw Suite in 2019 we
- 00:45:47should have jumped in then and done it
- 00:45:49right also but if you're looking at
- 00:45:50least new building or anything else like
- 00:45:53your revenues are never guaranteed your
- 00:45:56expenses kind of are as a baseline so
- 00:45:58before you commit to signing new leases
- 00:46:01to buying new Capital Equipment make
- 00:46:03sure that you're covered for both the
- 00:46:05pros and the cons because you know Co
- 00:46:07hit was a blessing to us but for some
- 00:46:09people Co had the opposite effect and
- 00:46:12you always have to be cautious so always
- 00:46:15be willing and making sure you're
- 00:46:16hitting that bottom line whether things
- 00:46:18are going well and there's always the
- 00:46:20ups and downs and you ready for the
- 00:46:21roller coaster is there anything you
- 00:46:23wish you would have done differently
- 00:46:25through throughout this journey
- 00:46:28I think probably just taking my own
- 00:46:30advice that I just gave cuz we you know
- 00:46:32we we built a uh we're going to build
- 00:46:34100,000 foot building we ended up
- 00:46:36building a 200,000 foot building and uh
- 00:46:39so now I kind of wish we were back at
- 00:46:41100,000 because we've really settled
- 00:46:43into who we are now as a company but you
- 00:46:45know those changes and so you know now
- 00:46:47I'm inspired to start another business
- 00:46:48to fill it up with with other stuff
- 00:46:50which you know I have going on um but uh
- 00:46:54and other than that too I think just
- 00:46:56just trust in your team enable them to
- 00:46:58make decisions I'm a very hands-off um
- 00:47:02owner uh I just hire the best people and
- 00:47:04I just give them all the resources to do
- 00:47:06their jobs and right now my team is just
- 00:47:09amazing and uh I mean that's why I'm
- 00:47:12able to come here and spend this time
- 00:47:14and do these things when they're all
- 00:47:16back um you know taking care of business
- 00:47:19I know just off camera we were talking
- 00:47:21about this you're a Serial entrepreneur
- 00:47:22and I was like how do you have time to
- 00:47:24be here and and the trust that you have
- 00:47:26in your team
- 00:47:27is really special I people yeah so what
- 00:47:30is next for PRX performance what can we
- 00:47:32look forward to well PRX we believe
- 00:47:36everyone has the right to sweat we've
- 00:47:37helped out so many people work out in
- 00:47:39their home gym but one community that I
- 00:47:41think people don't um haven't provided
- 00:47:45products for is the group of kids with
- 00:47:47sensory needs so one out of 12 kids
- 00:47:50right now are either on the Spectrum
- 00:47:52with autism of ADHD Down syndrome and
- 00:47:55the challenge with this group is like
- 00:47:58you and I we want to work out we just go
- 00:48:00for a run and we go lifting and we kind
- 00:48:02of know when it's time to step back and
- 00:48:04take that break um their minds don't
- 00:48:07always work that way so they may become
- 00:48:09disruptive in class and that's when the
- 00:48:11teacher need to say hey they need a
- 00:48:13sensory break or they can raise their
- 00:48:14hands a sensory break so we created
- 00:48:17equipment this is our new line that's
- 00:48:18out now and this is americanmade and we
- 00:48:21have uh commercial equipment we have
- 00:48:24residential equipment we even have a
- 00:48:26wheelchair swing that'll handle a
- 00:48:283,000lb motorized wheelchair so anyone
- 00:48:32can play and these tools allow kids to
- 00:48:35jump crash swing slide and play and what
- 00:48:40this does is it regulates uh sensory um
- 00:48:44allows them to reset so maybe they were
- 00:48:47disruptive in the classroom they can go
- 00:48:48take that break they come back and the
- 00:48:50longer they can stay with their peers
- 00:48:52the more likely they are to succeed and
- 00:48:54eventually find a job in the workforce
- 00:48:57and the less disruptive they are the
- 00:48:58kids in the class so that product is
- 00:49:02sensory RX and those are all live now
- 00:49:05and also we're launching another product
- 00:49:07a new company on December 1st we're
- 00:49:09inviting the top 20 occupational
- 00:49:12therapists in the United States to bring
- 00:49:13their constituents and this is going to
- 00:49:16be targeted to caregivers occupational
- 00:49:18therapists and parents who have kids on
- 00:49:20the Spectrum and we're going to share
- 00:49:22educational resources best practices but
- 00:49:25most importantly a Comm Community where
- 00:49:27these occupational therapists can
- 00:49:29interact with these kids and the parents
- 00:49:32and what are the best practices we teach
- 00:49:34them how to use the swings and not only
- 00:49:36our products I want to invite anybody
- 00:49:38else who is in this Marketplace to come
- 00:49:40and throw your products online even if
- 00:49:42you're a competitor um I think you know
- 00:49:45a rise and Tide raises all ship and this
- 00:49:47community right now is growing and it
- 00:49:48needs these tools and resources and
- 00:49:51we're super excited about really being
- 00:49:53deeply involved with that wow those are
- 00:49:55some incredible goals that you have
- 00:49:58going on thank you and they're really
- 00:50:00going to make a difference we're trying
- 00:50:01we're doing our best what inspired these
- 00:50:05products you know I think you get to a
- 00:50:07point the great thing about being an
- 00:50:09entrepreneur is once you hit a level you
- 00:50:12and you feel like you've kind of made
- 00:50:13the money you need to make and and
- 00:50:15you've accomplished what you have to you
- 00:50:17start looking outside like what do other
- 00:50:19people need how can I help other people
- 00:50:21uh last couple businesses I started I
- 00:50:23invited in the PE some people I really
- 00:50:25trust uh to be owners in the company and
- 00:50:28that never really got to walk you know
- 00:50:31the path that I did so they get to see
- 00:50:32it from an ownership side and like to
- 00:50:34just continue doing that coming up with
- 00:50:37new ideas and helping other
- 00:50:38entrepreneurs on their journey I teach
- 00:50:40some co-starter classes too for young
- 00:50:42entrepreneurs to help them it's a nwe
- 00:50:44course that guides them through from uh
- 00:50:47Inception to a pitch wow wow and uh just
- 00:50:50whatever I can do to just kind of pay
- 00:50:51back all the mentors that helped me
- 00:50:54amazing well thank you so much Brian for
- 00:50:56sharing your story and for being here
- 00:50:57with me today it's been a pleasure yeah
- 00:51:00Tor thank you for your time really
- 00:51:01appreciate the opportunity thank you and
- 00:51:02enjoy the rest of your sweet worlds all
- 00:51:03right we'll do all right all right
- 00:51:05everyone thank you so much for tuning in
- 00:51:07to netset TV and there is so much more
- 00:51:10to come Christina what are you doing
- 00:51:13over
- 00:51:14there yes Tori I am here live on the
- 00:51:17explod floor with Farmhouse pottery and
- 00:51:20we are going to be here with this
- 00:51:22wonderful pottery wheel making some
- 00:51:25pottery live in just a moment but first
- 00:51:28i'm with Kim gains general manager of
- 00:51:31Farmhouse pottery and Jessica bonacera
- 00:51:34Master Potter and head of production uh
- 00:51:37Kim can you tell us a little bit about
- 00:51:38Farmhouse Pottery sure Farmhouse Pottery
- 00:51:41is based in Woodstock Vermont we were
- 00:51:42established in 2012 and we really think
- 00:51:45about our brand as a Lifestyle brand
- 00:51:47with its heart in production wonderful
- 00:51:49and I would love to hear your story
- 00:51:51about uh Pottery how did you get to
- 00:51:53start making this what made you
- 00:51:55interested and what's your history
- 00:51:56absolutely so I learned to make pottery
- 00:51:59originally at a summer camp as a camper
- 00:52:01in 2008 and then I went on to study
- 00:52:04studio art with a concentration in
- 00:52:06Ceramics in college and then joined the
- 00:52:08Farmhouse Pottery team in 2016 about
- 00:52:11eight years ago and I've been growing
- 00:52:13and learning ever since are you a part
- 00:52:15of kind of the creation product of
- 00:52:18design team tell us a little bit about
- 00:52:19that I am absolutely yeah so I am a
- 00:52:22member of the R&D team at Farmhouse
- 00:52:24Pottery so we do all of the new product
- 00:52:26design we really like to pull a lot of
- 00:52:28inspiration from everyday life things
- 00:52:31that you can use that you can interact
- 00:52:32with that are going to make your day
- 00:52:34better that are going to be handcrafted
- 00:52:35and made by real humans in Vermont well
- 00:52:38they are beautiful pieces of Art and we
- 00:52:40like to think that net su's a piece of
- 00:52:41art uh how have you used netw Suite to
- 00:52:44help grow and mold your business
- 00:52:46absolutely so we launched netsuite about
- 00:52:48three years ago and couldn't have gotten
- 00:52:50to the point we are now without them uh
- 00:52:52it is the infrastructure that was
- 00:52:54missing from our beautiful formula so
- 00:52:56from
- 00:52:56tracking inventory to managing our
- 00:52:58finances all in one place it has been an
- 00:53:00absolute seamless transition you're also
- 00:53:02one of our customers that utilizes ACS
- 00:53:05tell us a little bit about that
- 00:53:06experience and what positive things have
- 00:53:07come out of it sure so we didn't use ACS
- 00:53:09out of the gate really wanted to get
- 00:53:11settled into netw suite and figure out
- 00:53:12what needed to happen afterwards
- 00:53:14additional tools joined ACS about a year
- 00:53:17and a half ago and they really were the
- 00:53:18missing ticket uh the account manager
- 00:53:20has been fantastic and has really helped
- 00:53:22me fine-tune some of the pieces that
- 00:53:23really needed attention that we weren't
- 00:53:25getting before is great news well we're
- 00:53:28here at sweet world I want to know
- 00:53:30obviously this is your first year what
- 00:53:31are you most looking forward to Bringing
- 00:53:33out of this absolutely I cannot wait to
- 00:53:36see how other companies are using netw
- 00:53:39Suite I obviously know how we use it how
- 00:53:41it helps our teams in our systems but
- 00:53:43see other brands and other companies how
- 00:53:46they use it whether they are makers like
- 00:53:48us or have product like us or they don't
- 00:53:50and how they're utilizing that Suite to
- 00:53:51help build their business like us
- 00:53:53excellent and you're kind of an old vet
- 00:53:55this is your third year here it's my
- 00:53:57third year here as well tell me what
- 00:53:59you're looking forward to learning this
- 00:54:01year yeah so the last two years I came
- 00:54:03by myself and was really a customer and
- 00:54:04looking at all the tools and the
- 00:54:06partners that were available to add on
- 00:54:07or investigate and this year I'm really
- 00:54:09looking through it with a customer lens
- 00:54:11uh getting to know other brands other
- 00:54:13companies that are using it the way we
- 00:54:14do and trying to figure out maybe they
- 00:54:15have tricks that I should learn from
- 00:54:18excellent well ladies I think it's time
- 00:54:20let's throw some pottery I'm going to
- 00:54:23give this here to you wonderful so this
- 00:54:25is our pottery wheel I have it pretty
- 00:54:28much set up for us to go today we're
- 00:54:30going to make a laurel spoon rest which
- 00:54:31is one of our top selling products it's
- 00:54:34great for by the stove super functional
- 00:54:36made of our you know stoneware clay body
- 00:54:39so you can grab that ball of clay right
- 00:54:41there I got the wheel head a little damp
- 00:54:43already so what you're going to do is
- 00:54:45throw it right down in the Middle with a
- 00:54:46good
- 00:54:47smack very
- 00:54:49good and then you're going to wet your
- 00:54:52hands and what we're going to do first
- 00:54:54is called centering so I'll show you
- 00:54:57what you want to do first is start to
- 00:54:59squeeze
- 00:55:02in and then you're going to push down
- 00:55:04with a fist with your right hand so you
- 00:55:07want sort of even pressure with your
- 00:55:09left hand on the side and your right
- 00:55:10hand on top and you're pushing it right
- 00:55:12into the middle I'm also going to grab
- 00:55:14this little sponge
- 00:55:17okay smoothing with my left pushing down
- 00:55:19with my right okay pushing it right into
- 00:55:22the middle slow and
- 00:55:24steady beautiful now slowly let
- 00:55:28go
- 00:55:30awesome we're feeling good I think we
- 00:55:32can go a little bit flatter okay so
- 00:55:35really slowly try and use the wheel
- 00:55:37Basin as like a little Anchor Point and
- 00:55:40keep pushing this down a little bit
- 00:55:42flatter like okay maybe a quarter of an
- 00:55:44inch
- 00:55:47okay
- 00:55:49perfect now slowly let
- 00:55:52go it's kind of looking like something
- 00:55:55it's getting there it's getting there we
- 00:55:56have sort of what we call the floor of
- 00:55:58the pot established now the place where
- 00:56:01the spoon is actually going to sit so
- 00:56:03now we're going to push up the wall so
- 00:56:04I'm going to give you this sponge okay
- 00:56:07and with your right hand with your four
- 00:56:09fingers on top you're going to slowly
- 00:56:10start to push in and you'll see that
- 00:56:12clay come up and we're going to just
- 00:56:14rest our left hand to sort of steady got
- 00:56:17it
- 00:56:21okay the wall is rising the wall is
- 00:56:25rising making our cute little
- 00:56:28wall and now we're going to slowly let
- 00:56:30go awesome I'm going to have you pass me
- 00:56:33that little rib okay awesome going to
- 00:56:36take off just a little bit of this extra
- 00:56:38clay that we don't need and now we're
- 00:56:40going to round out our Rim so with our
- 00:56:42left hand we're going to sort of pinch
- 00:56:44it and steady it and with our right hand
- 00:56:45we're just going to place it on top and
- 00:56:47sort of round it out make sure it's nice
- 00:56:49and clean and
- 00:56:51smooth okay
- 00:56:58nice very good and now we're going to
- 00:57:03soak some of this water up out of the
- 00:57:05inside make sure it's nice and
- 00:57:07[Music]
- 00:57:09smooth you make it look so easy uh it's
- 00:57:12just a little bit of practice yeah and
- 00:57:14now we're going to do the most fun part
- 00:57:16which is stretching our spout in so if
- 00:57:18you look at our sample it has this
- 00:57:19little place for the handle of the spoon
- 00:57:21to go so what you're going to do is make
- 00:57:23a horseshoe with your left hand on the
- 00:57:25outside point right to the middle and
- 00:57:27then wiggle back and forth and it just
- 00:57:29takes nice soft motions exactly and then
- 00:57:32you can slowly
- 00:57:35release and we have our SPO rest think
- 00:57:37that looks that's similar very close to
- 00:57:41what this is supposed to be looking very
- 00:57:43strong start well thank you so much
- 00:57:44Jessica thank you so much Kim Tori I'm
- 00:57:46going to throw it back to you in the
- 00:57:47studio I'm going to be right here if you
- 00:57:49need
- 00:57:51me you are a natural at that Christina
- 00:57:54if this net Suite thing doesn't work out
- 00:57:56I think you have some options in Pottery
- 00:57:59beautiful work okay I am joined here by
- 00:58:02James Whitmore he's the chief growth
- 00:58:04officer at cigo and net sweet sponsor hi
- 00:58:06James thanks for being here hi Tori I'm
- 00:58:09thanks for having me how's your sweet
- 00:58:10world going so far so far well it's very
- 00:58:12early in the event but so far so good
- 00:58:14it's um all coming together nicely I
- 00:58:16think well welcome welcome to Sweet
- 00:58:18world so James tell me about SLO what
- 00:58:20does the company do you don't know
- 00:58:23cigo I know cigo but they know
- 00:58:26well cigo is one of uh I think the
- 00:58:28biggest netsuite SC partner and has been
- 00:58:31a partner for many many years over 10
- 00:58:33years and cigo is known as an
- 00:58:35integration company basically
- 00:58:37integration and automation between net
- 00:58:39suite and any other app that you may
- 00:58:41have in your Tech stack and whether
- 00:58:44you're a small company looking to
- 00:58:46integrate you know Shopify or Salesforce
- 00:58:48with netw Suite or your Fortune 500
- 00:58:51company integrating many many apps and
- 00:58:53using massive data sets so goes to the
- 00:58:56for you for that integration and
- 00:58:57automation wow lot lots of options there
- 00:59:00that that you can use and so how does
- 00:59:02netsu really help netsuite customers
- 00:59:05power up their use of The Suite well you
- 00:59:07know netw customers want to put their
- 00:59:09Erp system in the center of their
- 00:59:11business right it's a single system of
- 00:59:13Truth for so many parts of their
- 00:59:15business and what we do is help netwe
- 00:59:18customers uh take data from different
- 00:59:21systems move it into net Suite so that
- 00:59:23there is one version of the truth build
- 00:59:25automated workflows that save uh your
- 00:59:28manual effort and time uh and really
- 00:59:31make netw weite the most powerful system
- 00:59:34it can be for uh uh for for their
- 00:59:36business and so what is the future of
- 00:59:39sgo like what are some key initiatives
- 00:59:41you're working on and how do you see
- 00:59:43automation really evolving yeah well um
- 00:59:45you know cigo is you know a high growth
- 00:59:47company and continues to evolve uh many
- 00:59:50people know cigo perhaps as a
- 00:59:52point-to-point integration uh connector
- 00:59:55type of company but it's so much more
- 00:59:56than that you know we're one of the
- 00:59:58leading iPass integration platforms as a
- 01:00:01service companies now um over recent
- 01:00:04months we've introduced new parts of the
- 01:00:06portfolio and API management and EDI
- 01:00:09management um so moving beyond just
- 01:00:12iPass and uh you know the company
- 01:00:14continues to grow and get you know serve
- 01:00:17more complex type of needs and then if
- 01:00:19you think about the future of
- 01:00:21integration um in general uh basically
- 01:00:25AI like in every other segment of the
- 01:00:27industry is having a huge influence and
- 01:00:29for us there's really three ways that it
- 01:00:32uh plays one is in the platform itself
- 01:00:34making the platform smarter uh fixing
- 01:00:37more errors kind of like automating more
- 01:00:40processes within the platforms the
- 01:00:42second is for users of the
- 01:00:44platform uh and how they actually
- 01:00:46generate code we have many kind like
- 01:00:49pre-built templates and integration apps
- 01:00:51but many of our customers you know write
- 01:00:53their own code within the platform and
- 01:00:55AI tool to help them write that code and
- 01:00:57then the third area is how they build AI
- 01:01:00into their workflows using AI as a step
- 01:01:03in a work uh workflow uh to automate a
- 01:01:06task or do some of the data analysis and
- 01:01:09kind of like you know and so all of that
- 01:01:10makes kind of like integration tools I
- 01:01:12think more powerful more relevant
- 01:01:14today's business um and uh you know
- 01:01:17that's an exciting future for for
- 01:01:19companies like yeah absolutely it's
- 01:01:21like we have all this automation that's
- 01:01:23really helping these businesses grow but
- 01:01:25even that on Automation in and of itself
- 01:01:27is evolving at a really rapid Pace that
- 01:01:29that is really helpful to to power that
- 01:01:31growth that we're looking for and for
- 01:01:33you know net week customer just helps
- 01:01:34the net site platform become more
- 01:01:36powerful integrate more apps uh save you
- 01:01:40know drive more efficiency by drive by
- 01:01:42automating more uh workflows between
- 01:01:45apps and platforms so very powerful tool
- 01:01:48and so where can our customers learn
- 01:01:50more about cigo well you can stop by the
- 01:01:52booth if you're here live in person um
- 01:01:54stop by uh we'd love to meet all of you
- 01:01:57here there's thousands of people here
- 01:01:58but we'd love to meet you all amazing
- 01:02:02and yeah you said thousands it really is
- 01:02:04Thousands this is our biggest sweet
- 01:02:06world ever which is really exciting so
- 01:02:08what is your favorite part of sweet
- 01:02:10world it's just getting to meet all our
- 01:02:12customers and our partners uh it's just
- 01:02:15a wonderful opportunity to uh to meet
- 01:02:17them put names and faces together and uh
- 01:02:20you know hear from them what they're
- 01:02:21doing and how they're using our platform
- 01:02:23I just love that thank you so much for
- 01:02:25joining me I hope you have a wonderful
- 01:02:27rest of your sweet world and to all of
- 01:02:29our viewers we're going to hear how
- 01:02:31little words project is using Nets to
- 01:02:33grow and then we're back here in the
- 01:02:35studio so don't go
- 01:02:37away Little Words project is a jewelry
- 01:02:39and accessory company founded on the
- 01:02:41principle of sharing and spreading
- 01:02:43positivity our customers love Little
- 01:02:45Words project because the words they
- 01:02:47wear on their wrist are constant
- 01:02:48reminders to them of what they're going
- 01:02:50through or what inspires them we do sell
- 01:02:53to thousands of different brick-and
- 01:02:55mortar location that we don't own
- 01:02:56through Target norstrom Urban Outfitters
- 01:02:59as well as our our stores and our
- 01:03:01e-commerce business so managing the
- 01:03:03nuances and the intricacies of inventory
- 01:03:06and transfer orders and sales and all
- 01:03:08the things that go across those channels
- 01:03:09is is uniquely challenging to our
- 01:03:11business life before netsuite was
- 01:03:13complicated we weren't built to scale to
- 01:03:15the level that we are today we are using
- 01:03:18a platform called aims 360 and
- 01:03:20QuickBooks nothing talked to each other
- 01:03:23we were doing manual reconciliation
- 01:03:25every month trying to figure out what we
- 01:03:27sold on wholesale what we sold on the
- 01:03:29website and so not having that one
- 01:03:32single source of Truth led to decision-
- 01:03:34making that wasn't fully comprehensive
- 01:03:36and robust I would walk in our back
- 01:03:38fulfillment room and I would notice that
- 01:03:41hundreds of our pegs were empty nobody
- 01:03:43had any idea why no one knew where the
- 01:03:45product was going and that was when we
- 01:03:48all looked at each other and said we
- 01:03:50need to do something about this and our
- 01:03:53vpa product Franchesca said you need you
- 01:03:55need that's you need it
- 01:03:59now all areas of the business run on net
- 01:04:02Suite now we use it across every single
- 01:04:04channel that we're in and we use it in a
- 01:04:06way that is our single source of Truth
- 01:04:08we have our wholesale orders either EDI
- 01:04:11to net Suite Andor we have a reporting
- 01:04:13platform that allows our customers to
- 01:04:15purchase from Shopify and e-commerce are
- 01:04:17integrated through their API right into
- 01:04:19ours and then all of our stores which Al
- 01:04:21also run on Shopify are fed right into
- 01:04:23next week the biggest kpi that we have
- 01:04:25improved is our inventory turn
- 01:04:27historically in prior to net weite our
- 01:04:29inventory turn was two to three times
- 01:04:31per year this year is going to be 6 to
- 01:04:33seven times it's a dramatic improvement
- 01:04:36in our ability to have real time data
- 01:04:38into our inventory levels and then make
- 01:04:40sales-based decisions on how to offload
- 01:04:42that inventory if we're loaded in one
- 01:04:44area or how to reorder in other areas
- 01:04:46that we are seeing momentum I can now
- 01:04:49call our VP of finance and get a buy
- 01:04:51Channel even buy store real time p&l um
- 01:04:55that that to be honest with you we
- 01:04:57couldn't do before we we never had that
- 01:05:00realtime p&l reporting particularly at
- 01:05:01the channel level now with really a
- 01:05:03press of a button I can get output to go
- 01:05:05and print out and put in my pocket and
- 01:05:07go off my
- 01:05:08day our business has grown 10x and
- 01:05:11netsuite has allowed us to do
- 01:05:16that welcome back to netsuite TV wow
- 01:05:19Tori it has been an action-packed day I
- 01:05:22cannot believe day one's over already I

- 01:05:27fun throwing pottery and talking about
- 01:05:28software well those are all of my
- 01:05:30favorite things for sure I know uh but
- 01:05:32it was really interesting hearing about
- 01:05:34all of our new products hearing all
- 01:05:35about how we're embedding Ai and how our
- 01:05:38customers are using that Suite to grow
- 01:05:39their businesses absolutely and I can't
- 01:05:42wait to do it again but for now I think
