00:00:00
we begin with breaking news and we are
00:00:02
working to confirm all of the details on
00:00:04
this but Israel right now through its
00:00:06
military says it has just killed a
00:00:08
Hezbollah commander in a strike on the
00:00:12
country's capital Beirut
00:00:15
Lebanon this would be a development uh
00:00:18
of Epic Proportions that they could hit
00:00:20
that Commander inside that city so we
00:00:24
are following that uh more reporting to
00:00:26
come just shortly and I want to mention
00:00:28
the timing of this
00:00:30
President Biden just wrapping up his
00:00:32
comments the last that he will make as
00:00:34
the commanderin-chief of the United
00:00:36
States at the United Nation's general
00:00:39
assembly and he spoke some words about
00:00:42
how a a two-state solution and two sides
00:00:45
and all these things were you know going
00:00:47
to kind of come together and that
00:00:49
America was committed but he did not
00:00:51
give a map of
00:00:53
leadership through this
00:00:56
moment we'll get into it I'm Harris
00:00:58
fauler you are in the fauler focus
00:01:01
exactly what Biden said about the
00:01:03
conflict moments ago let's
00:01:05
watch since October 7 we've also been
00:01:10
determined to prevent a wider War than
00:01:13
engulf the entire region Hezbollah
00:01:16
unprovoked joined the October 7th attack
00:01:20
launching Rockets into Israel almost a
00:01:23
year later too many on each side of the
00:01:26
Israeli Lebanon border remain displaced
00:01:29
full full scale war is not in anyone's
00:01:31
interest even if situation has
00:01:34
escalated a diplomatic solution is still
00:01:37
possible the Pentagon has announced the
00:01:40
United States is sending what it calls
00:01:42
now now when this news broke this time
00:01:43
yesterday they didn't give any details
00:01:45
of of how many of our our military men
00:01:48
and women would be now going to the
00:01:50
Middle East now he's saying Major
00:01:53
General uh Ryder that it'll be a small
00:01:56
number well we have 40,000 of them there
00:01:58
so I guess smaller than 40,000 details
00:02:01
on this would be important too how much
00:02:03
more does this commit us as a
00:02:06
possibility of wider war is breaking out
00:02:08
in that region with Israel at the center
00:02:11
fighting in both directions North and
00:02:14
then toward Hamas and the Gaza
00:02:17
Strip our staunchest Ally in that
00:02:25
region and here's what that fight looks
00:02:27
like on that northern border with
00:02:29
Lebanon Israel saying it has finished a
00:02:31
second wave now of strikes on Hezbollah
00:02:34
targets today they are 7 hours ahead of
00:02:37
us so when we show you fresh live video
00:02:42
you'll know that it's coming upon
00:02:45
Darkness there the Israeli Defense Force
00:02:48
also confirms a targeted strike in
00:02:49
lebanon's capital of Beirut and that is
00:02:52
where I started this hour Lebanon says
00:02:55
that at least 558 people were killed in
00:02:57
Israeli air strikes yesterday
00:03:00
the deadliest day for that country in
00:03:02
nearly two decades now remember when
00:03:05
they started hitting Israel with a ramp
00:03:07
up it was a few hours after the massacre
00:03:10
by Hamas terrorists on October 7th so by
00:03:13
the morning of October 8th Hezbollah had
00:03:15
begun to hit Israel and they have not
00:03:17
stopped tens of thousands of people on
00:03:20
both sides of that border between Israel
00:03:22
and Lebanon have had to be evacuated out
00:03:25
of that
00:03:26
zone Southern Lebanon
00:03:29
war zone Israel is hitting targets
00:03:32
Terror targets inside that country
00:03:35
Iran's president is also at the United
00:03:38
Nations General Assembly where he said
00:03:41
he will keep backing the Hezbollah
00:03:43
Terrace Republicans say it is time to
00:03:46
get tougher on
00:03:48
Iran they funded Hamas hez blah and put
00:03:51
it into their War Machine we're reaping
00:03:53
what Biden has sown the people of Israel
00:03:56
are reaping the bad policy choices of
00:03:59
Biden and Harris
00:04:00
every time you hear deescalate from this
00:04:02
Administration Iran escalates because
00:04:04
they smell weakness and they seek
00:04:06
Advantage we have a stake in ensuring
00:04:09
Israel emerges from this conflict
00:04:12
stronger and these terrorist
00:04:14
organizations and their Iranian Patron
00:04:17
weaker our corres correspondent Nate Foy
00:04:20
is in Tel Aviv Israel with more
00:04:23
Nate Harris breaking just within the
00:04:26
past few minutes Israel is confirming
00:04:28
that an air strike in Beirut has killed
00:04:31
another Hezbollah Commander this time a
00:04:33
leading figure in the group's rocket
00:04:35
division uh his name is Ibrahim kabi so
00:04:39
take a look at this video from Beirut as
00:04:41
Israel's pressure campaign on Hezbollah
00:04:44
continues taking out its leaders
00:04:46
remember an Israeli strike killed
00:04:48
several Hezbollah commanders including
00:04:50
the group's Elite rodwan unit Commander
00:04:52
ibraim ail in Beirut last week Israel is
00:04:56
again warning residents to get out of
00:04:58
Harm's Way today according to lebanon's
00:05:00
health Ministry 558 people were killed
00:05:03
yesterday more than 1,800 others injured
00:05:07
and that number is growing today
00:05:09
meanwhile falling shrapnel injured an
00:05:12
Israeli soldier in the north Hezbollah
00:05:14
is not slowing down after F firing 250
00:05:18
Rockets yesterday here's Northern Israel
00:05:20
this morning take a look
00:05:22
[Music]
00:05:30
and Harris the people who live here in
00:05:32
Northern Israel have been fired on
00:05:34
nearly every day by Hezbollah since
00:05:37
October 8th of last
00:05:40
year it's tough I mean there's a lot of
00:05:45
stress um mostly because of all the
00:05:48
Rockets coming up but uh there's a
00:05:50
feeling of uh
00:05:53
finally we're taking
00:05:57
action take a look at this direct hit in
00:05:59
the the North Harris unbelievably nobody
00:06:02
was injured here but you see a Hezbollah
00:06:04
rocket smashed into the side of the road
00:06:06
as people uh pulled over there meanwhile
00:06:08
intense fire continues today so far uh
00:06:11
just today Hezbollah has fired an
00:06:13
additional
00:06:14
155 rockets and Israeli Prime Minister
00:06:17
Benjamin Netanyahu promises that the
00:06:20
Israeli fire on Hezbollah will continue
00:06:22
we'll send it back to you great
00:06:24
reporting as always Nate thank you
00:06:26
Senator Dan Sullivan Republican of
00:06:28
Alaska member of the armed services and
00:06:31
Veterans Affairs committees and he is
00:06:34
also the Republican representative for
00:06:36
the United States at the United Nations
00:06:38
a big week for you and so glad to have
00:06:41
you on set with great to be on the show
00:06:42
Harris thanks absolutely we don't know
00:06:45
what comma Harris's foreign policy is
00:06:47
going to be we just saw the last speech
00:06:49
by the sitting president and it was not
00:06:52
strong considering the breaking news
00:06:54
right now I mean there is a war now
00:06:57
across that line and between Lebanon and
00:07:01
Israel if this is what we get under
00:07:04
President Biden what in the world would
00:07:06
we get under vice president kamla Harris
00:07:08
if she wins the White House well it's
00:07:10
such an important question and you just
00:07:11
saw the speech right Biden mentions
00:07:15
climate change six times in Iran twice I
00:07:19
mean if that's not indicative of this
00:07:23
administration's priorities Biden Harris
00:07:25
I don't know but what we've seen is um
00:07:30
chaos throughout the world his last
00:07:32
foreign policy speech I think Americans
00:07:34
and people around the world need to ask
00:07:36
this question is America and our allies
00:07:39
safer today than it was four years ago
00:07:41
the answer is absolutely not and one of
00:07:43
the biggest areas in which that has been
00:07:46
uh true and a failure of this
00:07:48
Administration is the appeasement of
00:07:50
Iran that Iran is the agent of chaos
00:07:54
everywhere your um reporting right now
00:07:56
is just showing that they have appeased
00:07:58
Iran in every sphere and as you
00:08:01
mentioned I think with u KLA Harris it
00:08:04
would be way worse and you got to
00:08:07
compare the record of the Trump
00:08:08
Administration with regard to Iran where
00:08:10
we reestablished deterrents put them in
00:08:12
a box crushed them economically killed
00:08:15
their terrorist leaders and launched a
00:08:17
peace initiative with the Abraham ACC
00:08:18
cour such a uh contrast in terms of
00:08:21
Records well and what's really dangerous
00:08:22
is that we don't know what she would do
00:08:24
that's right because we don't know who's
00:08:26
making these decisions now I mean Biden
00:08:28
has been about as lame duck as you could
00:08:30
be they took him off the top of the
00:08:31
ticket and now he moves on he even
00:08:33
talked about that at the UN saying it
00:08:34
was his decision to bring it up there
00:08:37
seemed out of context he had to have
00:08:40
known and and I'm not on the armed
00:08:42
services committee for the Senate but I
00:08:44
would think that there was even a heads
00:08:45
up for you maybe it wasn't confirmed but
00:08:47
you knew they took somebody out yeah and
00:08:50
look um and the the fact that the
00:08:52
president's up there saying hey I left
00:08:54
voluntarily that's a little bit uh Rich
00:08:56
because the whole world knows what what
00:08:59
happen but again this issue of where
00:09:03
this uh Administration has been relative
00:09:05
to the Trump Administration this is a
00:09:07
really interesting election because you
00:09:10
have two records one of the Trump
00:09:12
Administration when they were in power
00:09:14
in terms of foreign policy and National
00:09:15
Security in one of Biden Harris and
00:09:18
these records couldn't be more different
00:09:20
and for the American people um much more
00:09:22
security for our country and our allies
00:09:25
under uh president Trump this seemed to
00:09:27
have a rapid ramp up uh in the Middle
00:09:30
East and in fact I I'll get more to this
00:09:33
in a second about who we're sending and
00:09:35
how many but a new Wall Street Journal
00:09:37
opinion piece says Biden's diplomatic
00:09:39
magical thinking quote no Administration
00:09:42
in American history has been as
00:09:44
committed to Middle East diplomacy as
00:09:47
this one yet has any other
00:09:50
administration's diplomats ever had less
00:09:53
success your reaction well one thing
00:09:56
that you have to when you look at
00:09:57
history diplomacy has to be backed by
00:10:01
strength and that was a Great Wall
00:10:03
Street Journal piece because they
00:10:04
mention all the diplomacy but they also
00:10:06
mentioned this fact about the Biden
00:10:08
Harris Administration they put forward
00:10:10
budget cuts to our Department of Defense
00:10:13
every single year so the Republicans
00:10:17
were all about peace through strength
00:10:19
that was in our platform in Milwaukee
00:10:21
this past summer the Biden
00:10:23
Administration Biden Harris
00:10:24
Administration right now Harris their
00:10:26
budget shrinks the Army shrinks the Navy
00:10:28
shrinks the Marine Corps you can't have
00:10:30
effective diplomacy as you are gutting
00:10:33
the Readiness of your military all right
00:10:35
I want to get to two things first of all
00:10:36
uh Major General Ryder told us yesterday
00:10:38
and then it filled in the blanks a
00:10:40
little bit saying well it's a small
00:10:42
number that they're sending to the
00:10:43
Middle East to shore up the 40,000 who
00:10:45
were there well that's anything less
00:10:47
than 40,000 what is happening in and
00:10:50
your on armed services what is happening
00:10:52
that you can tell us uh that's next for
00:10:56
the United States in that region and and
00:10:58
keeping in mind we have to back Israel
00:11:01
we 100% have to back Israel and one of
00:11:04
the things that's been so frustrating
00:11:05
with this Administration is that some of
00:11:08
the most effective tools that we have in
00:11:10
terms of backing Israel in
00:11:12
reestablishing deterrence with regard to
00:11:14
Iran aren't necessarily military tools
00:11:17
let me give you the best example the
00:11:19
Trump Administration undertook maximum
00:11:22
uh sanctions against the Iranian oil and
00:11:25
gas industry by the end of the Trump
00:11:27
Administration Iran's economy was in
00:11:29
freef fall they were exporting only
00:11:31
about 200,000 barrels a day they had
00:11:33
about $4 billion in foreign reserves
00:11:36
which was nothing the Biden Harris
00:11:38
Administration comes in day one they
00:11:42
stop enforcing these sanctions what does
00:11:44
that do Iran is exporting almost three
00:11:47
million barrels a day has close to a
00:11:49
hundred billion dollar in foreign
00:11:51
reserves and what are they doing with
00:11:53
that they're funding and equipping and
00:11:55
and training Hezbollah the houthis Hamas
00:11:59
so a lot of this appeasement has been
00:12:01
just reversing what the Trump
00:12:03
Administration did so well and you're
00:12:05
seeing the chaos all over the Middle
00:12:07
East all right the President Biden and
00:12:10
Harris should at least reimpose these
00:12:12
sanctions uh I have yet to hear her talk
00:12:14
about it no they won I mean they can do
00:12:17
what they do but it's time to talk to
00:12:19
the American people you broke some news
00:12:20
with me in the hallway as we were coming
00:12:22
to set I want to just take a moment
00:12:24
Russia we cannot take our eyes off
00:12:26
Russia you said a fourth incursion
00:12:28
what's happening five in the last two
00:12:31
weeks we've had five Russian bar bomber
00:12:35
incursions into our a is our airspace
00:12:38
our great men and women in the military
00:12:40
have gone up and intercepted these
00:12:43
aircraft by the way Harris just about a
00:12:45
month and a half ago we had a Russian
00:12:47
joint Russian Chinese be bomber
00:12:50
incursion into the Alaska airspace
00:12:53
strategic bombers with Fighters we had
00:12:55
to go turn them around but again this is
00:12:58
showing
00:12:59
the weakness of the Biden Harris
00:13:02
Administration this level of
00:13:04
aggressiveness from the two biggest
00:13:06
adversaries in my part of the world
00:13:09
Alaska the Arctic the North Pacific is
00:13:11
unprecedented they've never done these
00:13:13
kind of joint patrols they're doing it
00:13:15
with regard to the Navy too in Alaska
00:13:18
Waters so we have a lot going on in
00:13:20
terms of aggressiveness of our
00:13:22
adversaries and the best way to address
00:13:25
that is to regrow our military and this
00:13:28
Administration
00:13:29
won't do that yeah uh Senator Dan
00:13:32
Sullivan of the great state of Alaska
00:13:34
and representing all of us as the United
00:13:37
States at the UN today um you brought a
00:13:40
lot to Bear today and I'm appreciative
00:13:42
of you being here thank you great to be
00:13:44
