$100K in 30 Days (Business Ideas Backed By Trends)

- 00:00:00we took Landing cap from non-existent to
- 00:00:03100K AR in like 4 weeks our job as
- 00:00:05Founders is to scope waves and be like
- 00:00:07cool that one that looks good this is
- 00:00:10Cody After launching a simple Chrome
- 00:00:12extension he became obsessed with
- 00:00:13building online businesses it now has
- 00:00:15over 20 profitable businesses generating
- 00:00:18millions in Revenue the crazy part is
- 00:00:20these businesses are all just simple
- 00:00:22offerings on top of huge demand so much
- 00:00:25so that a small Chrome extension side
- 00:00:27project still funds his monthly rent
- 00:00:29today hey does around like on average
- 00:00:31around like 8 to 9k a month it is
- 00:00:33literally a data extraction tool helps
- 00:00:35you just like pull data like basically
- 00:00:37get it out during the holidays it bumps
- 00:00:39you know it'll do like 14 to 15 grand a
- 00:00:41month like November December January
- 00:00:43Cody's model is simple build businesses
- 00:00:45on top of rising Trends always backed by
- 00:00:48data people are buying are like three
- 00:00:50things it's either they're buying time
- 00:00:51back they're buying money back or
- 00:00:53they're buying status I'm going to try
- 00:00:55100 things we're going to see that 3% of
- 00:00:57that worked I'm going to put all of our
- 00:00:58resources the time money and mental
- 00:01:00energy into those things he continues to
- 00:01:03quickly launch businesses in his latest
- 00:01:05Venture just hit 100K annual recurrent
- 00:01:07Revenue in only 4 weeks he shares his
- 00:01:10exact approach and how others can do the
- 00:01:12same people are looking for this can I
- 00:01:13build that all the big
- 00:01:16bets I flew out to Denver to sit down
- 00:01:18with him and learn his data first
- 00:01:20approach to finding huge business
- 00:01:21opportunities without any other special
- 00:01:23skills all of his favorite tools and
- 00:01:26resources he uses on his own businesses
- 00:01:28and his exact Playbook he us uses to
- 00:01:30launch successful products in weeks
- 00:01:32let's dive in Cody thanks for having us
- 00:01:35at your house dude so to have you office
- 00:01:38so you do so many interesting things on
- 00:01:41the internet let's just Dive Right In
- 00:01:42can you talk about how you first made
- 00:01:44what was it 10K Mr in a couple weeks so
- 00:01:47company was called draft horse AI um we
- 00:01:49built it as an internal tool for
- 00:01:50ourselves initially found all these long
- 00:01:52tail keywords related to our product
- 00:01:55which is called swell AI talking about
- 00:01:56it in public on Twitter people were like
- 00:01:58hey I want to buy that thing so
- 00:02:00naturally uh the capitalist that I am
- 00:02:02we're like cool we'll have it live in 3
- 00:02:03days and so we spun it out over a
- 00:02:05weekend uh ended up going viral um
- 00:02:07there's so many of these now like we
- 00:02:09rode this initial wave that was
- 00:02:10happening um and there's actually way
- 00:02:12better ways to do this now how we took
- 00:02:13it to 10K Mr in 30 days um later on some
- 00:02:16cold email later on some paid ads on top
- 00:02:18of it um and uh yeah that was that was
- 00:02:20really it you said you were messing
- 00:02:21around a while ago and build a Chrome
- 00:02:23extension that still pays your rent
- 00:02:24today yeah totally yeah so it's in the
- 00:02:26e-commerce space so it's it's super
- 00:02:28cyclical um but it does around like on
- 00:02:30average around like 8 to 9k a month it
- 00:02:32is literally a data extraction tool
- 00:02:35helps you just like pull data like
- 00:02:36basically get it out during the holidays
- 00:02:38it bumps you know it'll do like 14 to 15
- 00:02:40grand a month honestly the first kind of
- 00:02:43Fay into software was really that and uh
- 00:02:46open my eyes for like oh if you have
- 00:02:47just a small tool that solves a huge
- 00:02:49problem it can you know people will pay
- 00:02:51for that you just layer on like funnel
- 00:02:54and marketing how did how did you like
- 00:02:55spot that problem honestly it was my own
- 00:02:57challenge so I was selling a a a bunch
- 00:03:00of print on demand products um across
- 00:03:02Etsy across Amazon across red bubble
- 00:03:04basically anywhere I could get my greasy
- 00:03:05hands on um we were we were doing stuff
- 00:03:07and my background was in like data
- 00:03:09analytics uh so I would go and I would
- 00:03:11basically scrape all the platforms but
- 00:03:13find bestselling products do remixes of
- 00:03:15them um based off of like the keywords
- 00:03:17and how they looked aesthetically Etc
- 00:03:19and so then this tool was a way to
- 00:03:21analyze basically like recurring
- 00:03:22purchases and understand like who my
- 00:03:25like best customers were and how could I
- 00:03:27then go and sell them more on like get
- 00:03:28them off platform on an e-commerce
- 00:03:30channel so you know getting him into
- 00:03:32Shopify Etc solved my own problem wrote
- 00:03:34a blog post about it had a person
- 00:03:36messaged me on Facebook again this was
- 00:03:38like 2015 2016 we're like hey can you do
- 00:03:41this but for me and I was like yeah
- 00:03:43we'll have it live in seven days so I
- 00:03:44called everybody and knew that like
- 00:03:47could program because at the at that
- 00:03:49point I was pretty non-technical I was
- 00:03:51you know very much a marketer and
- 00:03:52understood like you I could write Python
- 00:03:54scripts Etc but I couldn't build a you
- 00:03:56know a product um hacked it together got
- 00:03:58it out got first paying customer and was
- 00:03:59like all right this is the craziest
- 00:04:01thing I've ever seen like you just you
- 00:04:03know you're selling no physical product
- 00:04:05it's just pixels that you're moving and
- 00:04:06you get paid for that and so I mean I
- 00:04:08was I was addicted right I was just JY
- 00:04:11so you take a unique approach in terms
- 00:04:13of how you look at small bets versus big
- 00:04:15bets and how you have this massive bias
- 00:04:18towards action to Tinker in with a bunch
- 00:04:19of stuff and then once something works
- 00:04:21like double triple down you described
- 00:04:23these levels maybe if we start off with
- 00:04:25this first level of somebody's watching
- 00:04:28this video they're maybe working
- 00:04:29full-time job they just want to get
- 00:04:31something to replace their income let's
- 00:04:33just call it 10K Mr what would what
- 00:04:36opportunities do you see right now for
- 00:04:38for someone quit your job first off uh
- 00:04:40second the easiest ways to go about this
- 00:04:43right now are typically product High
- 00:04:44services that are powered by some type
- 00:04:46of AI tool um so we'll break down what
- 00:04:49that means um so what I would go do is
- 00:04:50try to learn some type of skill set that
- 00:04:52is uh not geographically constrained so
- 00:04:55anything that you can do on the internet
- 00:04:57I think that that's the first thing find
- 00:04:58some skill double down what I always
- 00:05:01advocate for is like everything that you
- 00:05:02learn just literally make a YouTube
- 00:05:05video of that exact thing and put it on
- 00:05:07your channel and put it in public
- 00:05:09through that alone you're going to solve
- 00:05:10the cold start problem of how do I get
- 00:05:12distribution for the skill that I'm
- 00:05:14trying to sell so once you've done that
- 00:05:16uh you're going to naturally start
- 00:05:17getting inbound you know say during the
- 00:05:19Google ads thing right you can do Google
- 00:05:21ads for automotive shops right and then
- 00:05:24Fred is going to come and he's going to
- 00:05:26be like watch this video and he's like I
- 00:05:27don't want to do this I don't want to
- 00:05:28spend the time thinking this or managing
- 00:05:30this can I just go hire this person boom
- 00:05:32you have your first customer but say you
- 00:05:34know you charge three grand a month
- 00:05:35you're trying to get to 10K you know 10K
- 00:05:38recurring Revenue all you need is three
- 00:05:40clients right like if you make a video a
- 00:05:42day with like Google ads for automotive
- 00:05:44Google ad whatever that is and you do
- 00:05:46that for 90 days straight like I
- 00:05:48guarantee you you can get you know three
- 00:05:50people to pay you three grand a month
- 00:05:51there's another path that you can go
- 00:05:53down if you are more of like a you have
- 00:05:55programming experience and the Chrome
- 00:05:57extensions one it's like a classic just
- 00:05:59just easy win anything that is data
- 00:06:02extraction that is like a perfect Chrome
- 00:06:04extension there's this one it's called
- 00:06:05email extractor I'm obsessed with it I
- 00:06:07have been for like 10 years because it's
- 00:06:08just amazing to me and like it has
- 00:06:11300,000 monthly active users and that
- 00:06:14thing probably I mean I'm just thrown
- 00:06:16down numbers can easy probably make 2
- 00:06:17million a year right so say you're
- 00:06:19someone that's interested in making a a
- 00:06:21Chrome extension how would you like look
- 00:06:23at search dator how would you approach
- 00:06:24that you could either go and use a tool
- 00:06:26like semrush or ahrs find all the
- 00:06:29longtail keywords that are related to
- 00:06:31like Chrome extension scraper or Chrome
- 00:06:34extension extractor the scraper or
- 00:06:36extractor words that has a high search
- 00:06:37intent for this is like I'm trying to
- 00:06:40get this outcome to occur you've already
- 00:06:43done Market validation and I think this
- 00:06:44is the thing that a lot of people mess
- 00:06:46up with uh when they initially start
- 00:06:48their first company they try to invent
- 00:06:49something new and this is actually the
- 00:06:51worst thing that you can do the best
- 00:06:52thing that you can do is pick a play
- 00:06:55that's already been ran before and then
- 00:06:57you just execute on that and you're
- 00:06:58going to get more experience it's going
- 00:07:00to be a way faster success you're just
- 00:07:02going to get to success way quicker and
- 00:07:04then the push back I always get
- 00:07:06immediately when I say that is well
- 00:07:07there's already people doing this like
- 00:07:09there's no way I'm like yo there's 100
- 00:07:11window washing companies in my city and
- 00:07:13they're all making money at different
- 00:07:14levels but they're all successful so why
- 00:07:17are we thinking about internet
- 00:07:18businesses in a different way than that
- 00:07:20that's they should be approached in the
- 00:07:22same kind of mindset in my opinion right
- 00:07:25right for whatever reason when someone
- 00:07:26says internet they're like oh I should
- 00:07:28have thought of that first late but like
- 00:07:30any physical product I feel like they've
- 00:07:32been brainwashed you know like it's like
- 00:07:33you you they've been brainwashed that
- 00:07:35it's a win or take all and and in
- 00:07:37reality that's not the case like think
- 00:07:39how how many email sending companies
- 00:07:41there are like MailChimp clav yo I mean
- 00:07:43beehive is moving into that market and
- 00:07:45taking over more market share they're
- 00:07:47all H having different levels of success
- 00:07:50it just depends on the wedge that you
- 00:07:52get into that space you're very well
- 00:07:54versed in all like okay this is
- 00:07:55specifically how I would do this and I
- 00:07:56would use this tool can you just like
- 00:07:58walk through how you maybe scrape Google
- 00:08:00Maps and like like what would you do
- 00:08:02yeah F first thing I would do um so I
- 00:08:04would go and I would find say we're just
- 00:08:06using the auto body shop again you can
- 00:08:08go to Fiverr you can pay a guy in
- 00:08:10Pakistan like 20 bucks he's going to go
- 00:08:12scrape 100,000 listings for you right uh
- 00:08:15tell them hey I want everybody with auto
- 00:08:17body shop and their title that's one way
- 00:08:19another way is outs scraper I actually
- 00:08:20bought the lifetime deal from appsumo
- 00:08:22which uh was it was awesome I'm stoked
- 00:08:25about it but basically what they do is
- 00:08:27uh you can go and it's basically a
- 00:08:28scraping tool that allows you to give
- 00:08:30like a Target keyword and a geography it
- 00:08:32goes find to everybody um all you're
- 00:08:34trying to do is just get the URLs once
- 00:08:36you have the URLs then you can do two
- 00:08:38things uh you can use a tool called
- 00:08:39hunter.io which will allow for you to go
- 00:08:41and find uh the emails anywhere that you
- 00:08:44know they're basically referenced on
- 00:08:45other websites for that website it's
- 00:08:47going to help you identify those um and
- 00:08:49then the other thing that you can use is
- 00:08:50called Phantom Buster Phantom Buster
- 00:08:52there's a um a phantom within it which
- 00:08:54is basically just an automation that
- 00:08:56will go and uh go to every one of those
- 00:08:58websites scrape the entire website and
- 00:09:00extract any of the emails out of it CU a
- 00:09:02lot of these local businesses like
- 00:09:04they're you know he's still using an at
- 00:09:06gmail but they're doing 2.5 million a
- 00:09:08year right like that's how they're
- 00:09:10running this company and so by doing
- 00:09:11both of those things you take those
- 00:09:13emails you then go and use a tool like
- 00:09:15zero bounce or like million verifier
- 00:09:18those will validate those emails um so
- 00:09:20what that means is uh basically you're
- 00:09:23trying to prove that this email is real
- 00:09:26number one it's still active also uh
- 00:09:28when you're doing cold email if get
- 00:09:29bounces or you you go into like what's
- 00:09:31called catchall um which is basically
- 00:09:34like a honey pot to say that that domain
- 00:09:36is sending spam um you're you're
- 00:09:38circumventing that by just doing those
- 00:09:40verified emails and then use a tool like
- 00:09:41instantly AI or smart lead and uh that's
- 00:09:44how you can do that sending um I would
- 00:09:46just go by like I mean this
- 00:09:48infrastructure we're sending at a way
- 00:09:50larger volume right but like the
- 00:09:51infrastructure I'm doing right now is 30
- 00:09:53domains you can buy those through pork
- 00:09:55buun just get a variation of whatever
- 00:09:57your company's uh domain is so imagine
- 00:09:59um you know uh SW AI software swell AI
- 00:10:03tool.com Etc buy those 30 domains you
- 00:10:06build five inboxes per domain so in
- 00:10:08total you'll have 150 inboxes that you
- 00:10:11can send from and and you used to have
- 00:10:13to do that all separately in a different
- 00:10:15tool you could do these now in these
- 00:10:17yeah totally yeah instantly I think has
- 00:10:19one built in um I'm using this tool
- 00:10:21right now it's called mail Reef um I I
- 00:10:23just got early beta access so that's
- 00:10:25that's why I'm there um but basically uh
- 00:10:28they set up a AWS server um that is
- 00:10:30specialized for this you can send 50,000
- 00:10:32cold emails with mail re for like around
- 00:10:34400 bucks a month get a smart lead
- 00:10:36account uh you can hit 25,000 people in
- 00:10:38a month I I guarantee you if you go and
- 00:10:41cold email 25,000 people that you do
- 00:10:43Google ads as an offering uh for you
- 00:10:46know auto body shops a certain
- 00:10:47percentage is going to respond back and
- 00:10:50because you already have like data to
- 00:10:51show because you have these three
- 00:10:52clients or whatever like because you got
- 00:10:54that inbound from YouTube or whatever
- 00:10:56that ends up being that's that way that
- 00:10:57you can grow this agency that how you
- 00:10:59can build that out that's like specific
- 00:11:01and I think that these are actually some
- 00:11:02of the best like types of companies or
- 00:11:05agencies to run is when they focus on a
- 00:11:07specific Niche because as soon as you
- 00:11:09identify an Arbitrage for one client you
- 00:11:11can apply that to everybody and so it
- 00:11:13creates the stickiness within uh your
- 00:11:15your you know client ecosystem the
- 00:11:17company I always go back to it's called
- 00:11:19Suds creative it's this like no-name
- 00:11:21company if you look on like USA or
- 00:11:23whatever the the um the sites are that
- 00:11:25you can like look up the the revenues
- 00:11:27like of what people estimate it say I
- 00:11:29think it's like six to seven million is
- 00:11:31what it do I know it's like double that
- 00:11:33because we I had a friend that worked
- 00:11:34there and uh they all they do is just
- 00:11:38basically digital marketing for uh for
- 00:11:40car washes that's their entire game plan
- 00:11:43and it's probably doing 15 million a
- 00:11:44year and an 80% margin with like 50
- 00:11:46employees like half of them are offshore
- 00:11:50I mean this is the this is the game you
- 00:11:52can play now and uh I I think anybody
- 00:11:55can go and do this because the really
- 00:11:58the pandemic like changed all the how
- 00:12:00people are willing to be sold like I'm
- 00:12:02way more willing to buy you know you got
- 00:12:04a good mic a good camera and good
- 00:12:06lighting like I trust you now because
- 00:12:08like I've kind of been trained over the
- 00:12:10last four years that uh this is how like
- 00:12:12we basically purchase things so can
- 00:12:15maybe talk about how you look at
- 00:12:16building businesses in general of like
- 00:12:18starting with these having them cash
- 00:12:20flow and then building other businesses
- 00:12:22one of the themes is you just don't know
- 00:12:24what those clients like problems are
- 00:12:26going to be and so getting really close
- 00:12:28to an automotive sh or a car wash shop
- 00:12:31maybe that uncovers the idea for a SAS
- 00:12:34versus just like oh maybe I'll randomly
- 00:12:36come up with an I was doing I was
- 00:12:38working at this company called Rupa
- 00:12:39health I was like employee six there uh
- 00:12:41we ended up taking it from like 10 or it
- 00:12:43was a $20 million valuation to 110 and
- 00:12:45about six months it was insane it's a
- 00:12:46Marketplace for like lab test ordering
- 00:12:48we realized that like content was going
- 00:12:50to be this way that we were going to
- 00:12:52have to sell to this audience so we spun
- 00:12:54up a podcast we spun up a live class
- 00:12:56series all this other stuff but um the
- 00:12:57whole purpose with that was like hey we
- 00:12:59can build this long form piece of
- 00:13:00content and then chop it up into all
- 00:13:01these small bipsiz pieces that we could
- 00:13:03distribute across all the platforms and
- 00:13:05like it's a perfect example of like oh
- 00:13:07when I solve problems for like these
- 00:13:09whatever it is I was just going back to
- 00:13:11like biology like atrophy is actually
- 00:13:13how things die if you just keep moving
- 00:13:16you are are 100% going to figure
- 00:13:18something out the only reason they die
- 00:13:19is because they stop existing that first
- 00:13:21company we were talking about that was
- 00:13:22like still like nine grand a month right
- 00:13:25if I stopped that month too because it
- 00:13:27was only doing like $300 a month none of
- 00:13:29the benefit that has happened in the
- 00:13:31last whatever you know six years
- 00:13:33existing would have ever happened and so
- 00:13:35like these things can limp along too
- 00:13:36they don't have to be these like I I
- 00:13:38don't know I'm just I just have a
- 00:13:39different view on this of like how like
- 00:13:41all the bets also Compound on each other
- 00:13:43I I kind of think about like I these
- 00:13:45small bets that I know are like easy
- 00:13:46wins and then I have these like you know
- 00:13:48almost like Black Swan events that I'm
- 00:13:50like trying to bet on of like cool can I
- 00:13:52like make this huge platform or like
- 00:13:54this thing that's in a mass Market with
- 00:13:55a huge Tam that I can approach all these
- 00:13:58other things like I'm I'm going to live
- 00:13:59a good life no matter what but if one of
- 00:14:00if this thing hits like one of these big
- 00:14:02bets hits It's game over like you know I
- 00:14:04just made it so my kids have to get my
- 00:14:06kids kids have to go to therapy because
- 00:14:09you know they went to private school for
- 00:14:10too long and don't know how to interact
- 00:14:11with the real world so uh what are some
- 00:14:14of those bigger bets that that you're
- 00:14:16placing right now yeah the the biggest
- 00:14:18what I'm really excited about this a new
- 00:14:19company we're building called Landing
- 00:14:20cat.com we basically uh build out
- 00:14:23collection landing pages for Shopify or
- 00:14:25they're called category Pages for
- 00:14:26WordPress based off of uh the company's
- 00:14:28product Catal so uh traditionally like
- 00:14:30you'd have to go and do this all
- 00:14:32manually um we built this tool set that
- 00:14:34allows for us to like index an entire
- 00:14:36product catalog we then can take that c
- 00:14:38that whatever that product catalog is we
- 00:14:40go and find all the longtail keywords
- 00:14:42related to that product catalog and then
- 00:14:44we can programatically generate these
- 00:14:46landing pages um these collection Pages
- 00:14:49based off of the product catalog and
- 00:14:50then those keywords we basically do that
- 00:14:52matching process and how do you go about
- 00:14:54launching something like that yeah so I
- 00:14:56did it on Twitter I called some friends
- 00:14:58that own me Commerce companies um and
- 00:15:01basically was just like Hey we're doing
- 00:15:03this thing I don't know if it's going to
- 00:15:04work um can we run some tests and see
- 00:15:06what happens uh got initial great data
- 00:15:09and again this is like comes back to
- 00:15:11like when you've done these other things
- 00:15:12and you have that history you have all
- 00:15:15these doors open that you never would
- 00:15:16have previously right like we took
- 00:15:19Landing cat from non-existent to 100K AR
- 00:15:23in like four weeks and like the only way
- 00:15:25that you could do that is if you had
- 00:15:27like all of these relationships four
- 00:15:29weeks in four weeks yeah um I just had a
- 00:15:32call this morning with like a huge you
- 00:15:33know conglomerate out in New York
- 00:15:34they're a holding company for like all
- 00:15:36these like Classic Brands and they're
- 00:15:38like yo this is a massive issue right
- 00:15:41because like they they're just trying to
- 00:15:43get as much basically traffic as they
- 00:15:45can to the site because they know that
- 00:15:46that like directly translate into
- 00:15:48purchase Revenue it translates into
- 00:15:50emails that turn into uh you know email
- 00:15:52Revenue pipeline through clavio or you
- 00:15:54know whatever they're using as their
- 00:15:55tool set that's what I'm I get most
- 00:15:57excited about is when you're talking to
- 00:15:58these companies that are like yeah this
- 00:16:00is a massive problem that we're facing
- 00:16:02and you can solve it in a way that's
- 00:16:03like way less it's painless basically in
- 00:16:05comparison what to what they're doing
- 00:16:06currently so what about moving playing
- 00:16:09like progressing along to 20K 50k what
- 00:16:13are some of the business ideas you have
- 00:16:14for yeah yeah yeah um I think there's a
- 00:16:16huge opportunity right now in like
- 00:16:19anything related to content repurposing
- 00:16:21um for Founders or for companies two
- 00:16:23examples um that I think are just you
- 00:16:26know right for the taking are one is is
- 00:16:29uh basically doing like unlimited
- 00:16:30webinar repurposing for a any B2B
- 00:16:34company so like if you look at the data
- 00:16:35it's like 80% of B2B companies do
- 00:16:38webinars it's just nuts right like it's
- 00:16:40like almost all of them so if you just
- 00:16:42gold email like every Mark every person
- 00:16:45like that has a marketing job title
- 00:16:47right and you're like hey we do
- 00:16:49unlimited webinar repurposing we'll turn
- 00:16:51it into ebooks we'll turn it into white
- 00:16:53papers we'll turn it into blog posts
- 00:16:55like you're going to get people that
- 00:16:57want this because a lot of them this
- 00:16:59like back catalog of you know whatever
- 00:17:01500 webinars they've ran over the last
- 00:17:03five years and they're it's sitting
- 00:17:04there you know it's just rotting and so
- 00:17:06if you can resurrect that I think these
- 00:17:08companies also just the price point like
- 00:17:10you could come in easily and be like
- 00:17:11yeah it's 5K a month we'll do as much as
- 00:17:12you want right and like all you're doing
- 00:17:13is building AI like workflows to do this
- 00:17:16yeah so uh the other one is newsletters
- 00:17:17for Founders um and so newsletters for
- 00:17:20Founders like all of them are trying to
- 00:17:21create a personal brand they have no
- 00:17:23idea where to start for this and uh if
- 00:17:26you just go to them and you're like hey
- 00:17:27I'm going to interview you 30 minutes of
- 00:17:29your week we take that transcript we're
- 00:17:31going to turn it into a written
- 00:17:32newsletter then we'll also like grow
- 00:17:33that newsletter for you and distribute
- 00:17:35it out to your whatever your target
- 00:17:37audiences they're going to say yes in a
- 00:17:38heartbeat there's this ego that's built
- 00:17:40into that right it's like if when you
- 00:17:42have bigger follower following uh across
- 00:17:45all these channels like all these things
- 00:17:47and it is actually valuable I think
- 00:17:49that's the thing that people don't
- 00:17:50realize like if I C DM from an account
- 00:17:52with 500 followers on Twitter the
- 00:17:54response rate is going to be lower than
- 00:17:56if I call DM from an account with 30,000
- 00:17:58like followers on on Twitter there's a
- 00:17:59million different ways honestly just go
- 00:18:01YouTube how to grow email newsletter
- 00:18:03list and you you can find you've started
- 00:18:05a bunch of these businesses some of them
- 00:18:06are really working others are cash
- 00:18:08flowing nicely how much do you think
- 00:18:10like you're just smarter than other
- 00:18:11people versus you just don't stop trying
- 00:18:14stuff I I think I'm I'm I'm definitely a
- 00:18:17big numbers person it's funny I've
- 00:18:19worked for people where they're like no
- 00:18:21everything has to be perfect and they
- 00:18:22have and they're great at it right you
- 00:18:23know they're very refined and I'm
- 00:18:25definitely not that I'm more like I'm
- 00:18:27going to try hundred things
- 00:18:29we're going to see that 3% of that
- 00:18:30worked and we're going to I'm going to
- 00:18:32put all of our resources like you know
- 00:18:34limited resources into those things like
- 00:18:36all the time money and mental energy
- 00:18:38into those things so right so way more
- 00:18:41on the side of just like letting the
- 00:18:43market dictate and trying a bunch of
- 00:18:45things knowing that most I can't convin
- 00:18:47like Coca-Cola is one of the biggest
- 00:18:49companies in the world and they can't
- 00:18:50convince people to drink more soda with
- 00:18:52all the money in the world and we think
- 00:18:54that like in our just ant form of us
- 00:18:58that we're going to be a the change no
- 00:19:01the the only thing that is going to be
- 00:19:04possible for us to do is ride a larger
- 00:19:06wave than us so our job as Founders
- 00:19:09especially if you're bootstrapping or
- 00:19:10you're self funding your job is to scope
- 00:19:12waves and be like cool that one that
- 00:19:14looks good how do I get there and as you
- 00:19:16get more time in the water you start to
- 00:19:19understand oh these types of waves are
- 00:19:21going to be a better ride okay so but
- 00:19:23the only way to get that is by spending
- 00:19:25time in the water you spend a lot of
- 00:19:26time in the water what other waves do
- 00:19:27you see I think the the other thing that
- 00:19:30I'm realizing is becoming just like man
- 00:19:32I I don't even know if you need funding
- 00:19:35in the same way that you used to I'm
- 00:19:37personally obsessed with like can a
- 00:19:39company Market itself right we have some
- 00:19:41tests that we're running of just like
- 00:19:43you know random stuff of like cool like
- 00:19:45this AI is deciding on the products we
- 00:19:47build and like you know on the
- 00:19:48e-commerce side and like it just print
- 00:19:50on Demand right it's like it's low risk
- 00:19:52but it's like you know can it do that
- 00:19:55can it like run a company and like this
- 00:19:57this is a more philosop iCal thing and
- 00:19:59that I find interesting like all the
- 00:20:00data exists and all of the like decision
- 00:20:03making exists for like a decent okay
- 00:20:07company to just run itself and so that's
- 00:20:09kind of what I'm obsessing with that's
- 00:20:10like the larger thing this the scale
- 00:20:12down version of that uh from like the
- 00:20:14bigger trends that are happening I think
- 00:20:16that what you're going to see is way
- 00:20:18more like multi- preneurship I think
- 00:20:21that that is just going to become a
- 00:20:22standard especially with the ability to
- 00:20:24get Global Talent as you can now um You
- 00:20:27can just you know run these companies
- 00:20:29and start these companies at a at a
- 00:20:31scale at a pace and at a volume that you
- 00:20:33I mean over the weekend I built a Chrome
- 00:20:35extension that we're going to launch
- 00:20:36right like it was me you know messing
- 00:20:39around for hour and a half over coffee
- 00:20:42and like I already know that there's
- 00:20:43keyword volume for it I'm going to like
- 00:20:44buy a domain and spin it up and within
- 00:20:46like two weeks we're going to have like
- 00:20:47our initial people using it and like
- 00:20:49that whole thing was just like AI
- 00:20:50generated code I'm going to know within
- 00:20:52a month whether we can turn this into a
- 00:20:55company or not yeah or just like
- 00:20:56specific big waves it sounds like you
- 00:20:58make these calculated bets but the
- 00:21:00reason that you did a Chrome extension
- 00:21:03in the weekend is because you saw the
- 00:21:04search volume before and so like like
- 00:21:08step one have search volume or step one
- 00:21:11have somebody paying you for it to solve
- 00:21:13a problem all the small bets are there
- 00:21:15like I'm just it's transactional right
- 00:21:18people are looking for this can I build
- 00:21:20that all the big bets like what we're
- 00:21:22saying with that is okay people are
- 00:21:24doing it this way it's very resource
- 00:21:26intensive like can I cut that resource
- 00:21:29intensity down by like you know to 10%
- 00:21:31of what it was previously or or down to
- 00:21:331% and then I charge them 10% of like
- 00:21:36whatever they're paying for like for
- 00:21:37example if somebody's you know if say
- 00:21:39they're investing $300,000 a year into
- 00:21:41whatever activity that they're doing
- 00:21:42maybe it's salaries maybe it's software
- 00:21:44all these other things if I can go to
- 00:21:45them and be like yo I'm going to charge
- 00:21:47you 30 grand and we're going to be 10x
- 00:21:49better like they're going to say yes
- 00:21:51every time and then your job is just how
- 00:21:53do I get in front of them how do I
- 00:21:54figure out how to get in front of them
- 00:21:56so right so constantly testing different
- 00:21:58offers and then figuring out ways that
- 00:21:59you could fulfill that for sure yeah
- 00:22:01first off you're an idea machine so
- 00:22:03let's just rattle off a few more of
- 00:22:05these I think it's really helpful just
- 00:22:07theistic of I think you've said just
- 00:22:10fine wealthy people or fine business
- 00:22:12owners like how can you walk through a
- 00:22:14few examples of where you can maybe find
- 00:22:16those people you can find literally the
- 00:22:18ZIP codes of the wealthiest people in
- 00:22:20like every area in the United States
- 00:22:22right so like number one you already
- 00:22:23know where they live so if you're like
- 00:22:25trying to start like even a service
- 00:22:27business like say you're like power
- 00:22:28Wasing or something like go to those
- 00:22:30neighborhoods if you can get into them
- 00:22:32right and like sell those types of
- 00:22:34people really fascinating the data like
- 00:22:36whatever economic level that you're in
- 00:22:38you only interact with that economic
- 00:22:39level it's like very rare that you
- 00:22:41engage outside of that because you're
- 00:22:43uninteresting at all those other levels
- 00:22:45like you're under interesting to the
- 00:22:47higher level you're under interesting to
- 00:22:48the lower level like you just like have
- 00:22:50different problems and and different
- 00:22:51kind of aspects but I would go and look
- 00:22:53for the companies that like rich people
- 00:22:55go to right like estheticians or like
- 00:22:58cross gyms or you know any of these
- 00:23:00things that are like service businesses
- 00:23:02that like have a high ticket price on a
- 00:23:03monthly basis that are there as a
- 00:23:06barrier to entry right and all you know
- 00:23:08they're servicing those types of people
- 00:23:09they typically have money that they can
- 00:23:11spend and it's it's one of the best ways
- 00:23:13that you can go and about creating a
- 00:23:15company servicing those types of
- 00:23:16businesses so like go to CrossFit gy and
- 00:23:18be like yo like we handle all of your
- 00:23:20digital right like we do lead gen you
- 00:23:22know we're going to run Google ads we'll
- 00:23:23do Facebook ads we'll grow your
- 00:23:24Instagram account we'll handle all of
- 00:23:25your scheduling and then we'll also do
- 00:23:27like you know eBook download and do an
- 00:23:29email nurture and send out an email on a
- 00:23:30weekly basis talking to you the founder
- 00:23:32of the CrossFit gym about like whatever
- 00:23:35it is that you're thinking about or
- 00:23:36what's working in in your space and I
- 00:23:38mean ran a small little agency doing
- 00:23:39this exact same thing right like
- 00:23:41literally just for CrossFit Gyms same
- 00:23:43playbooks like we using the exact same
- 00:23:45like strategies and tactics just applied
- 00:23:48in these different locations and all of
- 00:23:50that information like I I literally just
- 00:23:52youtubed how to do all that and like
- 00:23:54there's great channels out there like if
- 00:23:56you're trying to figure out how do I run
- 00:23:57like PPC ads or Google ads for a any
- 00:24:00type of service business there's this
- 00:24:02it's called like Surfside PPC just this
- 00:24:04dude has been doing it for like 15 years
- 00:24:07and like I don't even know I think he
- 00:24:09has like 200,000 subs or something like
- 00:24:10that but every variation of what you're
- 00:24:13trying to Target he's probably done it
- 00:24:15at some point and then from a data
- 00:24:16analytics standpoint like also other
- 00:24:18great channels that all this can be
- 00:24:19learned from like one's called loves
- 00:24:21data the other one's called uh analytics
- 00:24:23Mania um and basically they just like
- 00:24:25teach you how to actually do reporting
- 00:24:27and then like share that information
- 00:24:29back to your client and I think that's
- 00:24:30the thing that most people mess up on
- 00:24:31when they're initially starting these
- 00:24:33agencies is like how do I create a
- 00:24:34Northstar metric and get Buy in from the
- 00:24:37client so that we're both on the same
- 00:24:38page of this is our measurement of
- 00:24:40success everything else is superflous
- 00:24:41and then just constantly you know
- 00:24:43basically report on that information
- 00:24:45earlier we were talking about like just
- 00:24:46different potential clients or
- 00:24:48opportunities and we're were talking
- 00:24:50about Farmers a little bit what um do
- 00:24:52you think there's an opportunity having
- 00:24:54Farmers be your client totally like
- 00:24:56anybody that has a ton of capital and
- 00:24:59the challenge with those types of
- 00:25:00Industries is that it's like good old
- 00:25:02boy handshake style stuff right so it's
- 00:25:04a lot of who you know you know you have
- 00:25:05to be dancing with Wolves you become a
- 00:25:08part of that culture right so a lot of
- 00:25:10the times it's very hard to break into
- 00:25:12that's the only thing I would say and
- 00:25:13I've seen people make these mistakes in
- 00:25:14the past where it's like I've haven't
- 00:25:16even done it as well there was this
- 00:25:17moment where I was we built this like
- 00:25:18Funeral Home software right just a
- 00:25:20vertical sass we're going to go sell it
- 00:25:22and I was like I'm you know this is
- 00:25:23going to be kick dude way harder than I
- 00:25:25thought just hard to sell it's just an
- 00:25:27industry I didn't understand deeply and
- 00:25:29it was it' probably be the last time
- 00:25:31that I ever do that unless I partner or
- 00:25:33like buy a portion of a company that has
- 00:25:36some type of deep domain knowledge so if
- 00:25:38you have some domain knowledge in that
- 00:25:39way different but if you can't speak
- 00:25:41that language the hurdles that you're
- 00:25:42going to have to go through is just
- 00:25:43going to be hard to cultivate trust and
- 00:25:45build that one of my favorite sayings is
- 00:25:47start where you are use what you have so
- 00:25:49say for somebody who maybe has a
- 00:25:51relationship with farmer or maybe has
- 00:25:53you know we talked about the CrossFit
- 00:25:55example just for the context like how
- 00:25:57would you apprach Ro adding value to a
- 00:25:59farmer if you had that relationship
- 00:26:01service businesses are the best way to
- 00:26:03understand people's problems so if you
- 00:26:04can come in and you can do something for
- 00:26:06them and then you're going to really
- 00:26:07quickly realize like oh this is another
- 00:26:09massive problem that I had no idea
- 00:26:12existed but until I got in relationship
- 00:26:14and started talking to them about their
- 00:26:15company about their business also it's
- 00:26:17like you can immediately sell that
- 00:26:18person that thing like looking back I
- 00:26:19was in that in that CrossFit space at
- 00:26:21one point I was early but I was dumb
- 00:26:23like I didn't realize like what I was
- 00:26:24doing really right like now I'm like oh
- 00:26:26my God but it's just the Market's
- 00:26:27changed right like the wave has passed
- 00:26:30and like there's new ones that are
- 00:26:31coming in so I'm looking for that those
- 00:26:33next sets but there's probably an
- 00:26:34opportunity I remember I had this
- 00:26:35conversation with this guy and he was
- 00:26:37like I hate my website like management
- 00:26:41company it was like watify or one of
- 00:26:42these you know the custom builds and he
- 00:26:44named all these problems and I was like
- 00:26:46I can build that like this is just a
- 00:26:47simple like website building software
- 00:26:50right like here's this whole like
- 00:26:51category that you can go into again
- 00:26:54there's opportunities probably gone but
- 00:26:55in that moment like you had an Insight
- 00:26:57you had like specific details of the
- 00:27:00things that they hated and really that
- 00:27:02is the best products when somebody's
- 00:27:04like I hate doing this I mean again that
- 00:27:05is money like if you hear that and they
- 00:27:09have Capital you are green lit go like
- 00:27:12as fast as you can and so I think it's
- 00:27:13the same thing with the farming side
- 00:27:14like it's going in it's seeing their
- 00:27:16problems if you can figure out how to
- 00:27:17service them in some way like whatever
- 00:27:19that ends up being I mean it could even
- 00:27:20just be like accounting or something you
- 00:27:22know something like that providing some
- 00:27:23type of value to them will open up these
- 00:27:25doors into all these other things that
- 00:27:27you can do you talking about some of the
- 00:27:28other do you think there's anything
- 00:27:30there with that magazine company yeah we
- 00:27:32we go there have like um meeting your
- 00:27:34customer where you are maybe that's the
- 00:27:35segue yeah so ultimately figuring out
- 00:27:37who's the customer and where do they
- 00:27:39spend time 100% I get asked this
- 00:27:41question constantly where should I
- 00:27:42Market should it be Facebook should it
- 00:27:44be Google ad should be LinkedIn like
- 00:27:45where is your customer like that is the
- 00:27:47first question I ask any founder that I
- 00:27:49ever talk to and if they answer I don't
- 00:27:51know then it's like cool like figure
- 00:27:53that out once you have that figured out
- 00:27:55be in front of them every day every
- 00:27:58every week every month indefinitely
- 00:28:00until the company dies like you want to
- 00:28:01build a brand that is the only way that
- 00:28:03I've ever seen people do it is you have
- 00:28:06to show up where they are on a
- 00:28:07consistent basis like we saw for this
- 00:28:09trailer company like all these farmers
- 00:28:11were out and they were out of
- 00:28:14selfservice right so like it was just
- 00:28:16very hard to get in front of them so we
- 00:28:17already doing research for the client
- 00:28:19realized that oh this gas station is
- 00:28:21where they hung out let's just like can
- 00:28:23we make like just like a you know a
- 00:28:25little Simple magazine that we can just
- 00:28:27put like at this place place and like
- 00:28:28see if they can take it and then the
- 00:28:30angle that we ended up finding that
- 00:28:31works was oh what if we go interview the
- 00:28:33people that are showing up there right
- 00:28:34so if you profile an individual and then
- 00:28:36they're like oh I know Cheryl like
- 00:28:38Cheryl's awesome right and then the
- 00:28:40whole Community gets excited about
- 00:28:41magazine was just like little stories
- 00:28:43about the industry like in that local
- 00:28:45area but then they saw that oh Jim's in
- 00:28:48this like why am I not in this but it
- 00:28:49creates that conversation and then you
- 00:28:51have ads within that right it was just
- 00:28:52like a super simple Playbook and you got
- 00:28:54to be agnostic to the platform to the
- 00:28:56channel it's just wherever they are
- 00:28:57again just meet them where they are it's
- 00:28:59super simple what are some of like the
- 00:29:02either software tools or some of these
- 00:29:04other examples that people don't
- 00:29:06necessarily realize even if they're like
- 00:29:08you know have an online business yeah
- 00:29:10yeah I think I've heard you talk about
- 00:29:12like super metrics or like what what are
- 00:29:13some of your favorite tools that most
- 00:29:15people don't know oh I live by super
- 00:29:16metric I have this grandfathered an
- 00:29:18account please for the love of God don't
- 00:29:20take it away from me super metric is a
- 00:29:21data pipeline tool it basically allows
- 00:29:23you to uh transfer data from like all
- 00:29:26these different sources into a single
- 00:29:28dashboard so that you can do like
- 00:29:29business intelligence analytics so to
- 00:29:31make that more concrete I can take
- 00:29:33Facebook data Google ads data my search
- 00:29:35console data my LinkedIn ads data if
- 00:29:37you're doing like email marketing or
- 00:29:39using lob to send direct mail you can
- 00:29:42pipe all of that into a single dashboard
- 00:29:44now called looker Studio it used to be
- 00:29:45called Google data Studio it's a free
- 00:29:47tool that anybody can plug into and what
- 00:29:49that then allows for you to do is you
- 00:29:50can see all of this data in a single
- 00:29:52place that's coming from all these
- 00:29:53different channels which traditionally
- 00:29:54is siloed right like they comes hard to
- 00:29:56do reporting and there's a bunch of
- 00:29:58other tools that do this I just simp use
- 00:30:00this because that's what I know you're
- 00:30:01trying to just understand like what is
- 00:30:03the heartbeat of your company and these
- 00:30:05allows you to do that the pipes are so
- 00:30:06important also if you can translate that
- 00:30:08if you can take that data and tell the
- 00:30:10story with it to somebody you have just
- 00:30:12become god tier in whatever industry
- 00:30:15whatever business you're in because that
- 00:30:16is so hard how does the data tell that
- 00:30:18story and if you can figure out how to
- 00:30:19learn that and all this is learnable
- 00:30:21right like you can all those YouTube
- 00:30:23channels I just talked about all they're
- 00:30:25doing is just like we have raw data and
- 00:30:27we're turning it into information and
- 00:30:28then we're going to tell a story about
- 00:30:30what that information means if you can
- 00:30:31do that you are going to become the most
- 00:30:33valuable person within your company
- 00:30:34you're also going to become incredibly
- 00:30:36valuable to other companies and you're
- 00:30:37probably going to just evolve into a
- 00:30:39Founder because it's just naturally
- 00:30:42where this goes you mentioned a lot of
- 00:30:44these tools like it's almost as if these
- 00:30:46tools give you superpowers you mentioned
- 00:30:48super metrics what are some of the other
- 00:30:50ones that are like core part of your
- 00:30:52stack of how you find keywords how you
- 00:30:54find demand how you do other things yeah
- 00:30:56yeah so keywords everywhere is a great
- 00:30:57tool for anybody that's just like entry
- 00:30:59level SEO um it's a Chrome extension I
- 00:31:01would love to clone
- 00:31:02it just cuz I use it so much but uh it's
- 00:31:05super approachable on the price point I
- 00:31:07think you can pay like 18 bucks and get
- 00:31:08100,000 credits for a normal person
- 00:31:10that'll last you probably 10 months for
- 00:31:12me it's like 30 days but and then
- 00:31:14another cool sem rush or sem rush I use
- 00:31:16them largely for they have this specific
- 00:31:18feature called keyword magic basically
- 00:31:20it finds all the longtail keywords
- 00:31:21within whatever you provide it so say
- 00:31:23you're doing something you know like
- 00:31:25dresses right it'll go fine like every
- 00:31:27variation like black cocktail dress like
- 00:31:29emerald green you know so that's you
- 00:31:32know daily part of my stack just like
- 00:31:33everybody using figma constantly using
- 00:31:35uh web flow constantly all of these AI
- 00:31:38tools are just like a a beginning point
- 00:31:40to get it 80% of the way there and then
- 00:31:42how do I like come over the top of that
- 00:31:44and improve that piece of it you know
- 00:31:46whatever it initially provides there
- 00:31:47isn't a good graphic designer yet the
- 00:31:49only one I've seen that I'm like pretty
- 00:31:50excited about is called playground.com
- 00:31:52basically you can like give it tiger SVG
- 00:31:55and it goes and like generates that
- 00:31:56right but it's like pixel per it's
- 00:31:58pretty on point those are the kind of
- 00:32:00the tools that I I'm using constantly
- 00:32:01and like starting to experiment with
- 00:32:02more but yeah so you have your hands on
- 00:32:04a lot of things right now or is there
- 00:32:06anything if you're like man if I just
- 00:32:08had more hours in the day like that you
- 00:32:10you'd be itching to do I'm obsessed with
- 00:32:12this unstructured data the structure
- 00:32:14data thing all this information is
- 00:32:16locked up in like video and in audio
- 00:32:19that that never used to be really
- 00:32:20accessible because it was just very
- 00:32:22expensive to pull out really the
- 00:32:24transcripts is really what it came down
- 00:32:25to an example is horse betting
- 00:32:28so my brother is like a degenerate
- 00:32:30Gambler he's G I love him basically to
- 00:32:33find uh like Arbitrage within that you
- 00:32:35have to understand all the kind of
- 00:32:37information about the course and the
- 00:32:38horse and all this other stuff that's
- 00:32:40going on all that's just locked up in
- 00:32:41like streams that have happened
- 00:32:43previously but if you can go and unlock
- 00:32:45that like you suddenly have an angle and
- 00:32:47like you can play that margin game when
- 00:32:49you look at all of these companies that
- 00:32:50are providing like business intelligence
- 00:32:52data this is really a lot of what
- 00:32:53they're doing they're just like
- 00:32:54aggregating all these sources organizing
- 00:32:56it and then they sell you some report
- 00:32:57for like 300 Grand AI is unbelievable at
- 00:33:00taking unstructured things and then
- 00:33:02structuring those and so this is like
- 00:33:04again a larger idea not so much of a
- 00:33:06concrete one but if you can find any of
- 00:33:08those types of industries that were like
- 00:33:10all this almost like a mess of
- 00:33:12information and then how do I organize
- 00:33:14that how do I turn that into structured
- 00:33:17data that I can use and then analyze
- 00:33:18that's where the billion- dollar
- 00:33:19companies are in my opinion over the
- 00:33:21next 10 years right and then maybe just
- 00:33:23quick rapid fire a few lwh hanging
- 00:33:24fruits I think you've talked about
- 00:33:26QuickBook apps yeah like they like any
- 00:33:28other like things like that where
- 00:33:30there's just like high probability of
- 00:33:32success I think that any large product
- 00:33:34that has an app store like massive
- 00:33:36opportunity still to this day WordPress
- 00:33:39plugins are still a massive one right
- 00:33:41like just the other day I saw like uh
- 00:33:42the search volume or like WordPress
- 00:33:44banner and there's like exact match
- 00:33:46domains that you could go by and an
- 00:33:48exact match domain what that means is
- 00:33:49like there's a keyword that somebody's
- 00:33:50searching like a keyword phrase and you
- 00:33:52can go find that exact domain to
- 00:33:54purchase like the do and then if you
- 00:33:56throw like 10 back Links at it you can
- 00:33:58get those things to rank for that Target
- 00:34:00keyword that's like pretty competitive
- 00:34:02but because it's that exact match and so
- 00:34:03like I buy a bunch of exact match we get
- 00:34:05each of those to rank for the whatever
- 00:34:06that Target keyword phrase is it'd be
- 00:34:08hard to get a single site to rank for it
- 00:34:09for like the cost but then I can point
- 00:34:11those all back to a single like tool
- 00:34:12product and like just a tactical way to
- 00:34:15like you know kind of get that initial
- 00:34:17inbound you pixel everybody across all
- 00:34:19those so they enter with Google search
- 00:34:20you get that free first traffic pixel
- 00:34:22them on Facebook and on Google and then
- 00:34:23you remarket to them like constantly
- 00:34:25about whatever that product is the Quick
- 00:34:27Way apps one is just a classic it's like
- 00:34:29people just want Integrations right like
- 00:34:31email marketing is probably another huge
- 00:34:32one like looking at like omnisend or
- 00:34:34like any of these these types of
- 00:34:36companies people are just trying to like
- 00:34:37pipe data from a super metrics is this
- 00:34:39is all they're doing right it's moving
- 00:34:40data from here to there I think that
- 00:34:42these are some of the best companies to
- 00:34:44own just because it's like a very
- 00:34:46specific thing that is business critical
- 00:34:48that it's trying to solve and when you
- 00:34:50don't have that anymore it suddenly
- 00:34:52becomes very apparent to the company
- 00:34:54very quickly right probably a big one
- 00:34:55actually is the Zoom app store again
- 00:34:58obsessed with these types of spaces
- 00:34:59where it's like huge user bases no
- 00:35:02applications like you could just go look
- 00:35:04like zoom apps for XYZ okay last thing
- 00:35:08do you have any contrarian views or high
- 00:35:11convictions of of things that you
- 00:35:13believe I think that distribution is
- 00:35:15more important than product and if you
- 00:35:17tell anybody that especially if they
- 00:35:19come from the valley or traditional
- 00:35:21companies they're like no product is
- 00:35:23King and rules dude worst product wins
- 00:35:25all the time like constantly like net s
- 00:35:28is the perfect example massive company
- 00:35:30makes tons of money terrible product
- 00:35:32unbelievably terrible to use and for
- 00:35:34people that know it's like basically
- 00:35:35just like it's almost like a CRM or
- 00:35:37email sending I I don't even know I
- 00:35:38don't even know what category you put it
- 00:35:39in I think that so often you have great
- 00:35:42products that never get into orbit CU
- 00:35:44they just have terrible distribution but
- 00:35:46companies that have good distribution
- 00:35:48but okay product they can survive they
- 00:35:50can live and so I think that it's more
- 00:35:52important it's more valuable Cody
- 00:35:53Schneider the master of distribution
- 00:35:56where can people check you out any any
- 00:35:57final message that you want to give the
- 00:35:59viewer who had loves these ideas and
- 00:36:02wants to apply them for their own
- 00:36:03business yeah yeah yeah so active on uh
- 00:36:05Twitter and Linkedin those are probably
- 00:36:07the two places uh on the social side and
- 00:36:09my YouTube as well if you Google my name
- 00:36:11I should come up if I don't I'm really
- 00:36:13bad at my job the final thing that I'll
- 00:36:15say is like just start the thing
- 00:36:18literally today like right now like
- 00:36:20whatever that thing is and it can be
- 00:36:22small like it's like literally just like
- 00:36:23go learn something on YouTube and then
- 00:36:26whatever you just learned teach it and
- 00:36:28record that like in a loom video that's
- 00:36:30a business and if you do that for 180
- 00:36:32days like you will get enough
- 00:36:34subscribers you will get enough views
- 00:36:37that you will make Revenue off of that
- 00:36:39YouTube channel and you make your first
- 00:36:40thought online and that's just a gateway
