Frankenstein, episode six. The Creature declares war against man.
  • 00:00:28
Hello, I'm the Creature. And I've been telling you and my creator, Viktor Frankenstein,
  • 00:00:39
about my experience meeting people. Some feared me, some hated me and finally I found a man who
  • 00:00:53
was kind to me... Well, he was blind and couldn't see my ugly face. But I hoped he might help me
  • 00:01:07
persuade others I'm good and loving... There I was, in his house, when his children arrived.
  • 00:01:20
What would they do when they saw me?
  • 00:01:28
    Oh! What is that? Ohhhhhh...
  • 00:01:32
Sister? She's fainted! Get away from my father you monster! Don't be frightened, Dad! Get out
  • 00:01:40
    of here, ugly monster!
  • 00:01:44
    This will show you!
  • 00:01:46
Ouch! Ouch! Please, please don't hurt me!
  • 00:01:51
    Out! Out!
  • 00:01:53
    Son, what's going on?
  • 00:02:04
Oh that boy beat me with a stick! And he beat me and beat me! I could have killed him but...
  • 00:02:18
I just ran away. I was really angry! I  wanted to be their best friend... But it
  • 00:02:38
was not going to happen. That's when I decided life is a war against man! Then I thought you,
  • 00:02:56
Dr Frankenstein, might be the only person to give me some answers. You, my creator!
  • 00:03:10
How did you know where I lived?
  • 00:03:12
Papers I took from your laboratory in
  • 00:03:15
Germany said you came from Geneva and that's where I was going! It took me two months to
  • 00:03:26
reach the place. One night I was ready to go to sleep when I heard the voice of a child...
  • 00:03:54
The beautiful boy looked innocent and I thought he might accept my appearance. I decided that I
  • 00:04:04
would take him with me to be my friend. I wouldn't be lonely any more. But when I caught him... well,
  • 00:04:17
I tried to tell him I wouldn't harm him.
  • 00:04:23
Let me go, horrible monster! Let me go or
  • 00:04:28
I'll tell my daddy! He's a powerful man!  He'll beat you! His name is Frankenstein!
  • 00:04:42
That name took me by surprise! The name of my enemy! I felt so much hate... I put my hands
  • 00:04:57
around his neck and I held it. Yes, I held it tight and... suddenly I realised he went silent.
  • 00:05:13
My brother William! My father is called  Alphonse. Alphonse Frankenstein. And he
  • 00:05:19
    doesn't even know about you!
  • 00:05:23
I knew this would make you suffer! You made me suffer and now I realised I could make you suffer too.
  • 00:05:38
And what happened to Justine, William's nanny, who was executed as his murderer?
  • 00:05:43
I found this lovely woman sleeping in a hut. I thought about waking
  • 00:05:52
her up but... I was sure she wouldn't be  nice to me! She should suffer for that!
  • 00:06:02
    And what did you do?
  • 00:06:05
I put a locket with the picture of
  • 00:06:09
a woman I took from the boy's body in her pocket. My life is very sad and I made her pay for it!
  • 00:06:24
Horrible creature! You're responsible for the deaths of two good and innocent people!
  • 00:06:31
I told you, I was good too. But now I'm sad and alone! Nobody will ever love me... unless
  • 00:06:50
you create a woman - a monster like me - whom I can share my life with.
  • 00:07:04
    Another monster like you? No!
  • 00:07:09
What I ask you is fair. If you
  • 00:07:14
give me another creature that looks like me, I could go and take it far away to South America.
  • 00:07:29
I'll make sure nobody will ever see us again.
  • 00:07:36
    No more contact with people?
  • 00:07:39
    No. Never again.
  • 00:07:42
Let me think about it. I'll tell you my decision next time.
