all right guys welcome to Today's Show
  • 00:00:02
we've got coach Nick with us Nick's been
  • 00:00:04
working with us for four and a half
  • 00:00:06
months now and when I first met Nick we
  • 00:00:09
had a call and you're like hey I'm
  • 00:00:10
trying to crack this this school group
  • 00:00:13
    thing I'm charging like 20 30 bucks a
  • 00:00:15
    month somewhere somewhere around there
  • 00:00:17
and um like how do I make this thing
  • 00:00:19
work well have you done High tickets yet
  • 00:00:22
you know it's probably easier to you
  • 00:00:23
know do high ticket then grow the
  • 00:00:25
community and I think something just
  • 00:00:26
like clicked for you and after that that
  • 00:00:29
was just like a call we had you're like
  • 00:00:31
I want some help can can you help me I
  • 00:00:33
like yeah bro I can help you that's what
  • 00:00:34
we do we linked up and we've been
  • 00:00:35
working together for four and a half
  • 00:00:37
months now and I think you just passed
  • 00:00:39
your first 20K month right yeah the that
  • 00:00:42
call was the most impactful hour for me
  • 00:00:45
that I've ever had when it comes to to
  • 00:00:47
my my business and the ability to make
  • 00:00:49
money online and and for me it was like
  • 00:00:51
man you were just speaking codes into my
  • 00:00:53
soul where I was like had someone said
  • 00:00:55
this to me two months ago I would have
  • 00:00:56
saved so much time but yeah the
  • 00:00:58
situation that I was in so I launched a
  • 00:01:00
school Community a weight loss School
  • 00:01:03
community in July and was charging 29
  • 00:01:06
bucks a month for it and had like 75
  • 00:01:09
people in there you know was making
  • 00:01:11
almost two grand a month or so but was
  • 00:01:12
putting so much effort into stopping
  • 00:01:15
people from churning in the program and
  • 00:01:17
I realized that I'm actually doing an
  • 00:01:18
injustice to People by charging a
  • 00:01:20
    Netflix subscription for such an
  • 00:01:22
    intensive program because people weren't
  • 00:01:23
taking it seriously at all and the
  • 00:01:25
conversation that you and I had was why
  • 00:01:27
not just repackage this into something
  • 00:01:29
that is a higher ticket service because
  • 00:01:31
I was kind of offering almost a high
  • 00:01:33
ticket service already just for $29 a
  • 00:01:35
month so repackaging the pricing model
  • 00:01:38
and then just selling the group program
  • 00:01:40
in school as a one-time fee for $11,000
  • 00:01:43
was the first thing that I did when we
  • 00:01:45
started working together and when I
  • 00:01:47
signed up for growth accelerator that
  • 00:01:48
was one of the first switches and that
  • 00:01:50
one switch alone was the only thing that
  • 00:01:52
I changed in addition to I'm getting
  • 00:01:54
into your guys's version of go high
  • 00:01:57
level and using that for book and calls
  • 00:01:59
I did a call booking process and started
  • 00:02:02
selling over the phone I went from 1,500
  • 00:02:04
bucks a month in really high churn to
  • 00:02:07
17K collected in that first month and
  • 00:02:10
way more buyin so it was this really
  • 00:02:12
interesting for me this this journey has
  • 00:02:14
    been a really confronting almost
  • 00:02:16
spiritual journey for me in a way
  • 00:02:18
because it feels weird selling a service
  • 00:02:20
    for $1,000 that was previously $29 a
  • 00:02:23
month but as the $1,000 people came in
  • 00:02:26
they all started seeing way more results
  • 00:02:28
and they all were way more B and I was
  • 00:02:30
like wow this actually feels really good
  • 00:02:31
to sell it for this cost and now I can't
  • 00:02:34
imagine the idea of ever selling
  • 00:02:36
something for so cheap made no
  • 00:02:38
it just made no no sense at all so man
  • 00:02:40
that one call alone was so life-changing
  • 00:02:42
for me and it changed my whole
  • 00:02:44
perspective on my life mission why I'm
  • 00:02:46
here and the fact that I actually owe it
  • 00:02:47
to people to charge them something
  • 00:02:49
that's going to make them take it
  • 00:02:50
    seriously it's crazy it's crazy but it's
  • 00:02:53
so true and I think uh everyone on this
  • 00:02:55
train right now is like the low ticket
  • 00:02:57
School group and stuff like that it's
  • 00:02:59
like hey you know yeah that can work but
  • 00:03:00
the game is so different like you said
  • 00:03:02
you're you're just trying to battle
  • 00:03:03
churn you know and that's really hard
  • 00:03:06
for a new business owner and if you
  • 00:03:07
don't already have like money recurring
  • 00:03:09
that's coming in that's paying the bills
  • 00:03:11
and stuff like that because you're just
  • 00:03:12
like sweating my turn ratees at 15 20% I
  • 00:03:15
gotta get down to 10% versus like well
  • 00:03:16
if I signed up you know five people at
  • 00:03:19
    $1,000 this month you there's 5K yeah
  • 00:03:22
the churn is not as big of a deal and
  • 00:03:24
sometimes people even use the low ticket
  • 00:03:25
communities to grow to ascend into the
  • 00:03:28
high ticket but you're spot on of like
  • 00:03:30
people will if people invest a
  • 00:03:32
significant amount of money that they
  • 00:03:33
deem significant they have much more
  • 00:03:35
buying so it's to see as a sole operator
  • 00:03:38
too in a business I feel that the idea
  • 00:03:41
of going low ticket to high ticket it
  • 00:03:42
didn't make sense for me personally and
  • 00:03:44
    I just haven't seen that's kind of
  • 00:03:45
what's getting preached from the the
  • 00:03:47
Alex Heros down right now a little bit I
  • 00:03:49
just haven't seen that work for a lot of
  • 00:03:51
people that are operating on their own
  • 00:03:52
or maybe have a VA that makes way more
  • 00:03:55
sense if you have coaches in your
  • 00:03:56
program that are reaching out to people
  • 00:03:57
to help maintain that relationship but
  • 00:03:59
for me I'm like the the idea of staying
  • 00:04:02
in enough contact with 70 people in
  • 00:04:04
addition to everything else that I'm
  • 00:04:05
doing in my business to keep them
  • 00:04:06
interested there was no way that I that
  • 00:04:09
I could do it and kind of like what you
  • 00:04:11
said I I feel that for me especially but
  • 00:04:13
for most people that aren't really
  • 00:04:14
thinking in this way one of the best
  • 00:04:16
things that that I did that you advised
  • 00:04:18
me on was selling High ticket sell that
  • 00:04:20
high ticket as a as a three four five or
  • 00:04:23
six month container whatever works for
  • 00:04:24
    your business for me I do it's a 12we
  • 00:04:26
program followed by 12 additional weeks
  • 00:04:28
of staying in the community community
  • 00:04:29
and in the group for integration but
  • 00:04:31
after that 6 months to stay in I then
  • 00:04:34
start charging monthly so there's where
  • 00:04:36
the Mr starts coming in for the people
  • 00:04:38
that are really really bought in and
  • 00:04:39
that feels more like a low ticket sort
  • 00:04:41
of offer so going from high to
  • 00:04:43
transitioning them into low has worked
  • 00:04:45
way better for me than trying to go from
  • 00:04:46
low to high yeah that's the way to do it
  • 00:04:48
I I don't know if you familiar with Alex
  • 00:04:50
Becker he's the founder of hyros which
  • 00:04:52
is a a tracking software that I use but
  • 00:04:54
he made a video not too long ago and it
  • 00:04:56
talks about that it's like selling High
  • 00:04:58
ticket is easier because if it cost you
  • 00:05:00
$500 to get a client you to say you sell
  • 00:05:02
a $1,000 program you just made 500 bucks
  • 00:05:05
if you can get them to stick and then at
  • 00:05:07
the end now become a monthly recurring
  • 00:05:09
member you can grow that low ticket or
  • 00:05:12
Mr business and get paid on the front
  • 00:05:15
end where like if you're trying to run
  • 00:05:17
ads to low ticket it you typically lose
  • 00:05:19
money you typically lose like you get a
  • 00:05:21
0.25 to 0.5 return which is like you
  • 00:05:24
    know I put a dollar in I get 25 to 50
  • 00:05:26
cents out and they might stay to me that
  • 00:05:28
seems stressful just like you know
  • 00:05:30
putting in $500 and getting a th000 you
  • 00:05:32
know or putting 500 in if you're if
  • 00:05:34
you're good you should get a four times
  • 00:05:35
return you put 500 in you get 2,000 back
  • 00:05:38
now we're talking and that's just on the
  • 00:05:40
front end not talking about the back end
  • 00:05:42
so yeah what I love about school
  • 00:05:44
    communities in general or any
  • 00:05:45
communities that people are using is
  • 00:05:47
just how flexible they are and how
  • 00:05:48
quickly you can change your business
  • 00:05:50
model so that that was something that I
  • 00:05:51
hadn't really considered is we had that
  • 00:05:53
conversation I I changed things in in
  • 00:05:54
one week my business looked entirely
  • 00:05:56
different and that's what I love about
  • 00:05:58
the way that that we're doing things in
  • 00:06:00
growth accelerator in your program is
  • 00:06:02
this concept of using Community as just
  • 00:06:05
a host of things but it's really really
  • 00:06:07
really flexible the way that we can
  • 00:06:09
    change people's involvement in the
  • 00:06:10
community how they're paying to get into
  • 00:06:12
    that community so having that
  • 00:06:13
flexibility to change the offer again
  • 00:06:15
and again to figure out what works is I
  • 00:06:17
think that's really the key to success
  • 00:06:18
instead of just locking yourself into
  • 00:06:20
pay this amount per month to join my
  • 00:06:21
school community and get stuck in that
  • 00:06:23
one platform yeah I mean dude I do the
  • 00:06:25
same thing we've changed our prices last
  • 00:06:26
year three times and then this year
  • 00:06:29
we've already changed it once I mean
  • 00:06:30
business is a puzzle right it's like
  • 00:06:32
okay you've got Marketing sales and
  • 00:06:34
    fulfillment there's always variables
  • 00:06:36
you're trying to change or optimize to
  • 00:06:38
allow you to get the most freedom and
  • 00:06:40
flexibility in your life make decent
  • 00:06:42
money while also giving your clients
  • 00:06:44
like really really good results so yeah
  • 00:06:47
I I like that what i' what I'd like to
  • 00:06:49
to transition to and and for those who
  • 00:06:51
are watching this we're going to dive in
  • 00:06:52
index business we're going to learn more
  • 00:06:53
about his offer his sales process and
  • 00:06:56
his marketing strategy but before that
  • 00:06:58
Nick I want you to share just like your
  • 00:06:59
    personal transformation story cuz I
  • 00:07:01
think that's really what what sets you
  • 00:07:03
apart from a lot of other coaches that
  • 00:07:04
I've met and it's also allowed you to
  • 00:07:06
grow your audience pretty pretty quick
  • 00:07:09
like in the past like year year right
  • 00:07:11
like since you're prosing so share with
  • 00:07:12
us uh your your your personal health
  • 00:07:14
Journey yeah thanks for asking I was
  • 00:07:16
really fat my entire life I could do it
  • 00:07:18
three hours on my personal Journey so
  • 00:07:19
I'll keep it to what's digestible I was
  • 00:07:22
really fat my entire life and I grew up
  • 00:07:23
in a household where food was not
  • 00:07:25
healthfully prioritized the way that it
  • 00:07:28
is in my life now and it led to me
  • 00:07:31
losing and gaining back anywhere from 50
  • 00:07:33
to 75 pounds per year from 2013 to 2019
  • 00:07:38
on every single diet that anyone on
  • 00:07:40
Instagram has ever talked about keto
  • 00:07:42
    carnivore intermittent fasting If It
  • 00:07:44
Fits your Macros one meal a day
  • 00:07:45
obsessive My Fitness Pal logging um
  • 00:07:48
    Weight Watchers everything that anyone's
  • 00:07:50
ever tried juice cleanses right and I
  • 00:07:52
found that for me I realized that the
  • 00:07:54
way that you lose weight really dictates
  • 00:07:56
the sustainability of of your results
  • 00:07:58
and I realized that as much as I was
  • 00:08:00
trying to fix my fat body I never
  • 00:08:02
addressed any of the issues that led to
  • 00:08:03
my obesity in the first place or any of
  • 00:08:05
the issues that led to my negative
  • 00:08:06
    relationship with food emotional eating
  • 00:08:08
binge eating coping my dopamine system
  • 00:08:11
was totally fried so what I did in 2019
  • 00:08:15
was I committed to having my last day
  • 00:08:17
one ever and I built a diet for myself
  • 00:08:20
that I call the common sense diet and
  • 00:08:24
just learned how to have balance with
  • 00:08:25
    food learned how to standardize
  • 00:08:27
unhealthy meals taught myself how to
  • 00:08:30
stick to a plan how to work through
  • 00:08:33
Cravings how to make proper portion
  • 00:08:35
sizes how to navigate social situations
  • 00:08:38
how to have conversations with people
  • 00:08:40
about my weight loss Journey connecting
  • 00:08:42
with my why stepping into a healthy
  • 00:08:44
identity really did all the work on my
  • 00:08:46
mindset that no diet really inherently
  • 00:08:48
teaches you and I just did I did it non-
  • 00:08:50
obsessively you know and it led to me
  • 00:08:51
losing over 100 pounds about10 lbs from
  • 00:08:54
2019 to 2020 in that whole journey I
  • 00:08:56
videoed myself every day coaching myself
  • 00:08:59
through sustainable weight loss so it
  • 00:09:01
was really hard for me because every
  • 00:09:02
coach that I ever hired every program
  • 00:09:05
that I was ever in it never really went
  • 00:09:06
further than like here's your meal plan
  • 00:09:08
here's your Macros and oh you didn't
  • 00:09:10
stick to your Macros well that's okay
  • 00:09:12
let's be better at sticking to our
  • 00:09:13
macros this week it's like dude you
  • 00:09:14
don't understand what's happening in my
  • 00:09:16
head right and weight loss was kind of
  • 00:09:19
it was taught to me as this like Nike
  • 00:09:20
commercial of just do it just eat less
  • 00:09:22
move more by every coach I ever worked
  • 00:09:24
with and I never actually address like
  • 00:09:26
any of the capital T or lower lowercase
  • 00:09:28
T trauma that led to me being stuck in
  • 00:09:30
this fat mind and feeling pole towards
  • 00:09:32
    unhealthy foods and seditary lifestyle
  • 00:09:35
so I built out a whole system for myself
  • 00:09:37
wrote it all down 2019 to 2020 and then
  • 00:09:39
January of 2024 started posting stuff on
  • 00:09:42
Instagram I've got these old videos from
  • 00:09:43
when I was fat talking about how I'm
  • 00:09:45
going to lose weight and then here I am
  • 00:09:46
now at 170 lbs right and I've kept it
  • 00:09:49
off for 5 years and the reason why I'd
  • 00:09:51
experienced um you know growing over
  • 00:09:53
200,000 Instagram followers in a year
  • 00:09:55
having one of the biggest weight loss
  • 00:09:56
podcasts in the world and after just 3
  • 00:09:58
or four months of podcasting and not
  • 00:10:00
knowing what I was doing was because I
  • 00:10:02
actually actually did it and I did it in
  • 00:10:04
a way that I'm not actually really on a
  • 00:10:06
diet this concept of the Common Sense
  • 00:10:08
diet is actually just a balanced
  • 00:10:10
approach so most of the advice that
  • 00:10:11
people receive online from people that
  • 00:10:13
lost weight comes from people that still
  • 00:10:15
live in some form of some form of
  • 00:10:17
restriction so my perspective has been
  • 00:10:18
really unique and it's the perspective I
  • 00:10:21
always wanted somebody to teach me but I
  • 00:10:23
couldn't find it so I just became the
  • 00:10:24
person that teaching what I wish
  • 00:10:26
somebody would have taught me but I
  • 00:10:27
actually had to teach myself yeah I love
  • 00:10:29
that I I I've got some more fall
  • 00:10:30
questions that so you said you're at 170
  • 00:10:33
now what what were you at your like
  • 00:10:35
    heaviest
  • 00:10:36
    274 D 74 and you're not like a a tall
  • 00:10:40
you're not super tall right you're six
  • 00:10:42
foot I'm six foot you know six foot
  • 00:10:43
    should be
  • 00:10:44
    [Laughter]
  • 00:10:48
enough no I I really like this because
  • 00:10:51
this is also what's not taught like you
  • 00:10:52
know I got my degree in exercise
  • 00:10:54
physiology and then I got my doctorate
  • 00:10:56
in physical therapy and you know talked
  • 00:10:58
about motiv interviewing kind of where
  • 00:11:00
    it stops it's like motivational
  • 00:11:03
interviewing do that and then here's how
  • 00:11:05
to breathe kind of but not really like
  • 00:11:07
you know what I mean like we didn't
  • 00:11:07
really learn a lot of this stuff and and
  • 00:11:10
you're so right of like oh your Macros
  • 00:11:12
you failed this week just do it next
  • 00:11:14
week you're like that's not coaching you
  • 00:11:15
know what I mean like that's it's not
  • 00:11:17
going to do it and the people that have
  • 00:11:18
the hard time sticking to the results
  • 00:11:21
and seeing the results is because they
  • 00:11:22
they haven't figured out the mind game
  • 00:11:24
so I'm curious you kind of transition
  • 00:11:26
into your offer like how do you package
  • 00:11:29
that into an offering to help yeah to
  • 00:11:31
help people it's an amazing question
  • 00:11:33
it's so true too right it's the people
  • 00:11:35
that I see I want to address what you
  • 00:11:37
said before we get into that the the
  • 00:11:38
people that we see that kind of just
  • 00:11:40
goggin their way to permanent weight
  • 00:11:41
loss right they just like I I I'm just
  • 00:11:44
going to do it I'm just going to
  • 00:11:45
discipline my way to permanent results
  • 00:11:47
part of what's not understood is that to
  • 00:11:50
do that you have to exist in that
  • 00:11:51
discipline forever so what I'm saying is
  • 00:11:53
if you're going to cut out carbs to lose
  • 00:11:54
weight you lose 100 pounds from cutting
  • 00:11:57
out carbs because you're in a calorie
  • 00:11:58
deficit not because the carbs are making
  • 00:12:00
you fat that once you returned to eating
  • 00:12:01
carbs you never learned how to have
  • 00:12:03
balance around the carbs so it it
  • 00:12:04
triggers all of this stuff that we're
  • 00:12:06
just avoiding an issue right the actual
  • 00:12:09
only answer that I have found for
  • 00:12:10
    sustainable results is addressing
  • 00:12:12
    permanent Lifestyle Changes addressing
  • 00:12:14
relationship with food and making it so
  • 00:12:17
that food is not such a centerpiece of
  • 00:12:19
your life by connecting more to it not
  • 00:12:21
by disconnecting from it so what I did
  • 00:12:23
was built something called The Common
  • 00:12:25
Sense diet system the way that this is
  • 00:12:27
packaged is in a 12 week course when I
  • 00:12:30
built this for myself it was a little
  • 00:12:32
bit different it wasn't quite as
  • 00:12:34
organized but going back and referencing
  • 00:12:36
what I had written down on a notepad
  • 00:12:37
almost five or six years ago and then
  • 00:12:39
building off of my own experience was
  • 00:12:41
one of the most the most rewarding and
  • 00:12:43
Blissful experiences of my of my entire
  • 00:12:45
life but the first thing that we do is
  • 00:12:47
we teach people how to standardize on
  • 00:12:50
anywhere from 5 to 10 meals that are
  • 00:12:53
made of mostly whole in natural foods
  • 00:12:55
that already fit inside of their calorie
  • 00:12:57
goals so what we do is we measure each
  • 00:12:59
meal one time we take a picture of the
  • 00:13:01
meal the next time we make the meal we
  • 00:13:03
just reference the picture to be give or
  • 00:13:04
take five or 10% does that make sense
  • 00:13:06
yeah yeah like that we remove all the
  • 00:13:08
what am I going to eat we make every
  • 00:13:10
meal less than 10 minutes to make so
  • 00:13:12
we're not slow cooking chicken having to
  • 00:13:14
    Temp everything we're rotisserie chicken
  • 00:13:16
we're using frozen vegetables we're just
  • 00:13:18
as easy as we possibly can to remove all
  • 00:13:21
of that I don't want to their meals that
  • 00:13:23
are built off of people's preferences
  • 00:13:24
that leads to people losing 2 to three
  • 00:13:26
pounds a week most of the time right
  • 00:13:27
from the beginning and then right when
  • 00:13:29
when we get into the second week of the
  • 00:13:30
program and this program is entirely
  • 00:13:31
self-paced it's we start addressing our
  • 00:13:34
why this is one of the biggest things we
  • 00:13:36
do is I walk people through an exercise
  • 00:13:40
of connecting with what their life is
  • 00:13:42
going to be like after 10 years of
  • 00:13:43
healthy decisions versus what their life
  • 00:13:45
is going to be like after 10 years of
  • 00:13:47
unhealthy decisions and all of my
  • 00:13:49
    clients videoed themselves talking
  • 00:13:50
through that process so when we feel
  • 00:13:53
like we don't want to do something we
  • 00:13:54
reference ourselves to learn how to
  • 00:13:56
motivate ourselves instead of relying on
  • 00:13:57
me because working with the weight loss
  • 00:13:59
    coach is actually inherently
  • 00:14:01
unsustainable unless you learn the tools
  • 00:14:03
and learn how to be your own coach so
  • 00:14:05
that's really the basis of my program
  • 00:14:07
yeah and then we we graduate into
  • 00:14:09
    navigating social situations reframing
  • 00:14:12
our language from I'm losing weight to
  • 00:14:14
I'm prioritizing my health learning how
  • 00:14:16
to work through scale Obsession all
  • 00:14:18
these things that fat people deal with
  • 00:14:20
but they never talk about wanting to
  • 00:14:22
    weigh ourselves every day feeling
  • 00:14:23
defeated when we don't lose weight dayto
  • 00:14:25
day we just give practical tools the
  • 00:14:27
    biggest difference between what I'm
  • 00:14:28
teach teaching and and what I was taught
  • 00:14:30
was that uh it's all built on exposure
  • 00:14:32
therapy so everything that I'm talking
  • 00:14:34
about we actually practice it's not
  • 00:14:36
Theory it's literally you are obsessed
  • 00:14:38
with weighing yourself every day we're
  • 00:14:40
not going to just put the scale away
  • 00:14:42
forever we're going to learn how to sit
  • 00:14:43
there and look at the scale and learn
  • 00:14:45
Comfort here being able to not do that
  • 00:14:48
day to-day over time because if you just
  • 00:14:49
throw away the thing that that is
  • 00:14:50
triggering you and making you feel bad
  • 00:14:52
you're never going to learn how to have
  • 00:14:53
balance with it so we really address
  • 00:14:55
every single possible thing that has
  • 00:14:58
    ever led to people quitting
  • 00:14:59
    plateaus social situations drinking
  • 00:15:01
alcohol and uh we talk about things that
  • 00:15:03
are real man we dive into weight loss in
  • 00:15:05
sex weight loss in Partnerships weight
  • 00:15:07
loss and dating weight loss and Social
  • 00:15:09
Circles and we get down to all the
  • 00:15:11
things that people don't really want to
  • 00:15:12
talk about but it's actually really
  • 00:15:14
healing yeah I want to ask question did
  • 00:15:16
you say that you had them create their
  • 00:15:17
why and record a video and then watch
  • 00:15:20
that video when things get hard yeah
  • 00:15:23
that's awesome that is so cool I
  • 00:15:26
    actually haven't heard that and I I
  • 00:15:27
think that's so powerful like okay I've
  • 00:15:29
done some stuff in the past where I I'll
  • 00:15:31
do the visualization stuff where I'll
  • 00:15:32
say like uh mantras or affirmations and
  • 00:15:34
I've recorded them and I'll listen to
  • 00:15:36
myself seeing them but that's a whole
  • 00:15:38
different level I love so most people
  • 00:15:40
that are really overweight struggle with
  • 00:15:42
some sort of relationship with food
  • 00:15:43
issue and our relationship with food is
  • 00:15:45
    typically indicative of our relationship
  • 00:15:47
with ourselves so we can actually learn
  • 00:15:48
    self-improvement through improving our
  • 00:15:50
relationship with food one of the
  • 00:15:52
biggest moments that most of my clients
  • 00:15:54
go through is everybody's got their food
  • 00:15:57
that they just can't stop eating or they
  • 00:15:58
have constant cravings for it's a cute
  • 00:16:00
dog and what we do to help work through
  • 00:16:02
    Cravings there's all these different
  • 00:16:03
strategies but the biggest one is
  • 00:16:06
    literally videoing yourself
  • 00:16:08
acknowledging the fact that it's 11:00
  • 00:16:10
at night and you want to get some Ben
  • 00:16:11
and Jerry's ice cream delivered on door
  • 00:16:13
Dash like to literally first acknowledge
  • 00:16:14
it I logically recognize that my desire
  • 00:16:18
for insert the reason why you want to
  • 00:16:20
lose weight here is more important to me
  • 00:16:22
than eating this ice cream and I
  • 00:16:23
recognize that I will feel worse after I
  • 00:16:25
eat it I'm going to just say no this one
  • 00:16:27
time I'm not committing to never eating
  • 00:16:29
ice cream again just to prove to myself
  • 00:16:30
that I can build a reference point here
  • 00:16:32
and then we wake up the next morning we
  • 00:16:33
record another video I did it and I feel
  • 00:16:36
    great and I don't regret that I didn't
  • 00:16:37
eat the ice cream then anytime that we
  • 00:16:39
have that craving again we just go watch
  • 00:16:40
the video and like most people have
  • 00:16:42
never done that one time you do that one
  • 00:16:45
time you forever know that you have the
  • 00:16:47
ability to not do that and you combine
  • 00:16:48
    that mindset work with practical
  • 00:16:50
nutritional advice so that you stop
  • 00:16:52
having the same Cravings cuz you're
  • 00:16:53
properly nourishing your body and people
  • 00:16:55
suddenly are like I'm not thinking about
  • 00:16:56
food anymore so one to two weeks in
  • 00:16:58
people mindset starts changing when you
  • 00:17:00
stop thinking about food all the time
  • 00:17:02
for a fat person you're able to start
  • 00:17:04
thinking about all these other things in
  • 00:17:05
life so people call that skinny
  • 00:17:07
privilege you lose weight and then your
  • 00:17:09
life gets better it's really just that
  • 00:17:10
you stop thinking about it so much so
  • 00:17:12
you can put more energy into other
  • 00:17:14
things is the course self-paced is it
  • 00:17:17
just like a school group what's that
  • 00:17:18
look like so I have two different offers
  • 00:17:20
I have a group only offer and I have a
  • 00:17:22
one-on-one offer so both of them are in
  • 00:17:26
the group for six months so during those
  • 00:17:29
    6 months it's 6 months of weekly
  • 00:17:30
coaching calls 6 months of access to the
  • 00:17:33
community and then the first 12 weeks of
  • 00:17:35
that is the self-paced course in program
  • 00:17:38
the people that work with me one-on-one
  • 00:17:39
we have eight scheduled calls over the
  • 00:17:41
course of those first 12 weeks and daily
  • 00:17:43
WhatsApp communication so maybe um out
  • 00:17:46
of the 60 or so people in the group
  • 00:17:49
maybe 50 to 55 of them are in the group
  • 00:17:52
and then everybody else is working with
  • 00:17:53
me one-on-one in addition to being in
  • 00:17:54
the group gotcha so the the group access
  • 00:17:57
that that's in school right so they
  • 00:17:59
don't have access to you in WhatsApp
  • 00:18:00
they just post in the community right
  • 00:18:02
and and is that that's group
  • 00:18:03
collaboration calls and stuff like that
  • 00:18:05
there too yeah yep group collaboration
  • 00:18:07
calls every week for accountability and
  • 00:18:09
    just workshopping different things so
  • 00:18:10
maybe even talking through Cravings the
  • 00:18:12
same way that we are right now and just
  • 00:18:13
reminding people of people go through
  • 00:18:15
the program and you kind of forget what
  • 00:18:16
was on week one or two if you didn't
  • 00:18:18
practice it enough so we're constantly
  • 00:18:19
going back to yeah going back to
  • 00:18:21
different things that that they were
  • 00:18:22
learning I love that man and before you
  • 00:18:25
did this type of work did you ever do
  • 00:18:27
just like you know macro coaching like
  • 00:18:29
to your clients or uh Fitness coaching
  • 00:18:32
stuff or is like I I figured this out
  • 00:18:34
for myself and immediately I created
  • 00:18:36
this program and put people through it
  • 00:18:38
this process yeah I never did anything
  • 00:18:41
in this industry or anything of that
  • 00:18:43
nature and one thing that I've done
  • 00:18:44
that's really different is trying to not
  • 00:18:46
be influenced by other people so I'm
  • 00:18:48
really careful about any content that
  • 00:18:50
I'm consuming but all everything that
  • 00:18:52
I'm teaching on is the weight loss
  • 00:18:53
programs that I was a part of when I was
  • 00:18:55
fat so I have the knowledge of what
  • 00:18:57
didn't work for someone in my situation
  • 00:18:59
right I'm mixed with what did work in my
  • 00:19:01
situation so everyone's a little bit
  • 00:19:04
different and in what they need but the
  • 00:19:06
people that I'm targeting and the people
  • 00:19:08
that work the best with me and see the
  • 00:19:09
most results are people that have their
  • 00:19:11
whole life been losing weight on
  • 00:19:13
different diets and then quitting and
  • 00:19:14
then gaining the weight back those are
  • 00:19:16
the people that I'm really here to help
  • 00:19:17
yeah yeah I love that because it also
  • 00:19:19
resonates so much with your story and a
  • 00:19:22
lot of times when we take people on or
  • 00:19:23
we consult with them it's like it's so
  • 00:19:25
much easier to build a business that you
  • 00:19:28
have this experience in and this passion
  • 00:19:30
in vers uh you being outside of a niche
  • 00:19:33
right cuz like you are the perfect
  • 00:19:35
example of like what you're I it perfect
  • 00:19:37
but you're a pretty good example of like
  • 00:19:39
what clients you know want to Aspire to
  • 00:19:41
to look like want to Aspire to become
  • 00:19:43
like you're very in touch with yourself
  • 00:19:45
like your health and wellness but also
  • 00:19:46
your spirituality and I imagine that
  • 00:19:48
also attracts a certain type of person
  • 00:19:51
that wants to learn what does that
  • 00:19:53
lifestyle look like how how do I take on
  • 00:19:55
some of those traits so I think you've
  • 00:19:56
done a really good job of branding
  • 00:19:59
yourself to this Niche and attracting
  • 00:20:01
the right people to you thank you that
  • 00:20:03
mean that means the world and being a
  • 00:20:04
part of growth accelerator has really
  • 00:20:06
helped me with connecting with my own y
  • 00:20:08
too A lot of my teachings have been
  • 00:20:10
refined based on the things that I've
  • 00:20:11
seen being a part of your program and
  • 00:20:14
based on one of the biggest things that
  • 00:20:15
I've learned what I love about your
  • 00:20:17
program is that IT addresses lifestyle
  • 00:20:19
in addition to the Practical things that
  • 00:20:21
you need to learn to grow your business
  • 00:20:23
so things as simple as how to build your
  • 00:20:24
own schedule and your own routine in a
  • 00:20:27
way that's conducive to what you want to
  • 00:20:28
accomplish like God that is the same
  • 00:20:30
it's the same thing with weight loss
  • 00:20:31
it's the exact same thing it's what are
  • 00:20:32
you actually doing in the dayto day how
  • 00:20:34
routine and how schedule is your life so
  • 00:20:36
that's one thing that that has just
  • 00:20:37
really been hitting home working with
  • 00:20:38
you and and and working with the other
  • 00:20:40
coaches as well cool man I got some more
  • 00:20:42
stuff coming next week or the week after
  • 00:20:45
on more mindset cuz I think there's
  • 00:20:47
still a lot of opportunities to grow
  • 00:20:49
inside of there and I'm going to share
  • 00:20:51
what my journaling process looks like my
  • 00:20:53
like morning routines and uh essentially
  • 00:20:55
I made this document I'll tell you it's
  • 00:20:57
cool I made this document it's kind of
  • 00:20:58
like a a life Manifesto type thing of
  • 00:21:01
like you know here here is this is Matt
  • 00:21:03
sher's story right and it kind of like
  • 00:21:05
is broken down and to bulleted numbers
  • 00:21:07
of like the things that I've done and
  • 00:21:08
accomplished all the way up until like I
  • 00:21:10
think for me it's up until the age like
  • 00:21:12
    40 45 after that I'm like I don't know
  • 00:21:14
yeah but I'm excited to introduce that
  • 00:21:16
because so cool you can reflect on on
  • 00:21:18
your why the better and there was some
  • 00:21:21
time last year where I struggled with my
  • 00:21:23
why I was like where is this thing going
  • 00:21:25
and once I started like journaling on a
  • 00:21:26
regular basis and like really looking
  • 00:21:28
out Beyond this quarter or like this
  • 00:21:31
year of like where we want to be with
  • 00:21:32
the business it's like it started to
  • 00:21:34
click and also like when things get hard
  • 00:21:36
right with weight loss or business like
  • 00:21:38
it's never going to be a perfect
  • 00:21:39
trajectory of like you get results right
  • 00:21:40
it's going to be oh I get results oh
  • 00:21:42
shoot oh it's the same thing right but
  • 00:21:44
on those times where you're feeling low
  • 00:21:46
and you're like what is all this for if
  • 00:21:48
you do have that that why and that
  • 00:21:50
vision and that Clarity of where you
  • 00:21:52
want to go it it's just like all right
  • 00:21:54
cool we got a if it's business we had a
  • 00:21:55
low cash collected month no big deal you
  • 00:21:57
know I know I'm putting in the work I'm
  • 00:22:00
making making the the content I'm taking
  • 00:22:02
the calls next month's going to going to
  • 00:22:04
bounce back around because this is where
  • 00:22:06
we're going yeah that's one thing that
  • 00:22:07
that you really that you hit home right
  • 00:22:09
now in your program a lot is something
  • 00:22:11
that I found is so that that first month
  • 00:22:14
like that first month I should say like
  • 00:22:15
that first week of us working together I
  • 00:22:18
was in that 1500 to 2K range and
  • 00:22:19
immediately went to 17K and every time
  • 00:22:23
that I would close a call or or sign
  • 00:22:25
somebody up I would sit down on the
  • 00:22:26
couch and go but it wasn't like a
  • 00:22:28
celebration it was like a like thank God
  • 00:22:30
now I can relax right and after I had
  • 00:22:33
that first 17K month my inputs were so
  • 00:22:36
like I had every input was exactly from
  • 00:22:38
the outside looking into what I would
  • 00:22:39
recommend that I was doing right and
  • 00:22:41
    then I went great I had a 17K month I
  • 00:22:42
could just like relax for a second and
  • 00:22:45
at a you know maybe 11 or 12K month two
  • 00:22:48
maybe 15K month 3 give or take those
  • 00:22:50
aren't exact numbers and I found that in
  • 00:22:52
reflection like me relaxing because I'm
  • 00:22:55
because I'm finding myself so tied to
  • 00:22:57
the results versus being tied to the
  • 00:22:59
input does that make sense coming back
  • 00:23:01
to that CEO schedule that we were walked
  • 00:23:04
through and being like I'm sticking to
  • 00:23:05
my CEO schedule regardless of if anybody
  • 00:23:07
    buys anything is that coming
  • 00:23:10
back coming back to that this month is
  • 00:23:11
    that now we're January 14th I'm already
  • 00:23:13
at I'm about to have my biggest month
  • 00:23:15
already halfway through so and just
  • 00:23:17
coming back to the basics going back to
  • 00:23:18
the early parts of your program have
  • 00:23:19
been really impactful for me even a few
  • 00:23:21
months then love that dude that makes me
  • 00:23:22
feel good man and we were talking too
  • 00:23:25
did you put your two weeks in are are
  • 00:23:27
you already done with your job man this
  • 00:23:29
is God I love this this just lights me
  • 00:23:32
up so much you know my whole life I've
  • 00:23:35
been set my whole life I'm 30 my whole
  • 00:23:37
    life I've been selling facial
  • 00:23:39
    recognition software to government
  • 00:23:41
facilities in the US and made good money
  • 00:23:44
I was making up until last month was
  • 00:23:46
making 150 160 or a little more and um
  • 00:23:50
one of the first intentions that I set
  • 00:23:53
with you know with your team when I
  • 00:23:55
joined the program was to quit my job
  • 00:23:57
and the am amount of fear I
  • 00:24:00
can't even like every I'm listening to
  • 00:24:01
other people that quit their job and
  • 00:24:02
    they're like there's never a right time
  • 00:24:04
and I'm like you guys have no idea how
  • 00:24:06
how afraid like it's not the same I'm
  • 00:24:08
like I'm Different right recognizing now
  • 00:24:09
that actually it's probably the same for
  • 00:24:11
almost everyone but I'm sitting there at
  • 00:24:13
this little CA Bar in Austin and I'm
  • 00:24:16
like almost in hysterics I'm like I
  • 00:24:18
don't know when I'm going to quit
  • 00:24:19
because had anyone told me I'd make a
  • 00:24:20
10K month I would have quit immediately
  • 00:24:22
now I've had three significantly more
  • 00:24:24
than 10K months and I still can't do it
  • 00:24:26
and I'm sitting up there and I'm talking
  • 00:24:27
to this guy and he's like he goes at
  • 00:24:29
some point you just got to let go and I
  • 00:24:30
looked at him I get this spiritual
  • 00:24:32
out of my face for a second okay you
  • 00:24:34
have no idea what I'm going through and
  • 00:24:36
as he said that this guy walks into the
  • 00:24:38
bar sits down right next to me pulls a
  • 00:24:41
book out of his backpack and the book
  • 00:24:43
was letting go and I went and I called
  • 00:24:46
my boss right there and gave my notice
  • 00:24:47
that was that was the day before my 30th
  • 00:24:50
birthday a month ago so I've been two
  • 00:24:52
weeks as a full-time entrepreneur now
  • 00:24:54
and you know the biggest thing it's
  • 00:24:56
scary because I you know I don't have
  • 00:24:58
the the savings that I would like to
  • 00:25:00
have but I don't even know if I did if I
  • 00:25:02
would really feel any more safe it's
  • 00:25:03
just the concept of quitting that feels
  • 00:25:05
really scary you know and it it feels
  • 00:25:08
like burning the last boat and it feels
  • 00:25:10
like all of these things that have been
  • 00:25:12
you know waking up and going straight to
  • 00:25:14
putting it's not even a time thing just
  • 00:25:15
    putting my energy towards somebody
  • 00:25:17
else's business versus my own those
  • 00:25:19
first couple hours when my energy levels
  • 00:25:21
are higher my testosterone levels are
  • 00:25:22
higher my focus is better putting that
  • 00:25:24
into my clients and my perspective
  • 00:25:26
clients the results and the difference
  • 00:25:28
in accountability that they've seen with
  • 00:25:30
themselves in the last two to three
  • 00:25:32
weeks I'm like wow I was actually doing
  • 00:25:34
an injustice to them and I'm sitting
  • 00:25:36
here preaching that everybody should be
  • 00:25:38
going all in on what they really want
  • 00:25:40
for their lives while I'm still working
  • 00:25:42
another job and that just felt so
  • 00:25:44
energetically contrary to to what I and
  • 00:25:47
I'm sitting there going God man that's
  • 00:25:48
why we teach the things that we need the
  • 00:25:50
    most in this world
  • 00:25:52
right oh dude I'm proud of you man I
  • 00:25:54
remember you told me because we we were
  • 00:25:55
at CIO was just like a a recovery spot
  • 00:25:57
here in Austin and I think was you there
  • 00:25:58
or was yeah I was there and I was just
  • 00:26:00
like so excited for you I was like I'm
  • 00:26:02
so proud of you man and it was we like
  • 00:26:03
dude we should do an interview
  • 00:26:05
    together and I wouldn't look this isn't
  • 00:26:07
like some me wanting to give you a
  • 00:26:08
    Cheesy testimonial I would never
  • 00:26:11
recommend something to someone that I
  • 00:26:12
have not personally done and that I
  • 00:26:14
would not do again in the same situation
  • 00:26:16
and genuinely from the bottom of my
  • 00:26:18
heart had I known that I would have
  • 00:26:20
these results I would have paid three
  • 00:26:22
times what I paid to join your program
  • 00:26:24
and and I I really really really really
  • 00:26:27
feel that there's no no freaking way
  • 00:26:29
that I would have had that jump or these
  • 00:26:31
mindset shifts when it comes to business
  • 00:26:33
without your program and without working
  • 00:26:35
with the different coaches that that
  • 00:26:36
I've encountered so I'm really grateful
  • 00:26:38
you know that you've put so much of your
  • 00:26:40
teaching from your story you know what I
  • 00:26:42
what I love so much about you is I feel
  • 00:26:44
I relate to you in a lot of the ways and
  • 00:26:46
that you built a business for yourself
  • 00:26:48
saw success you were like I can coach
  • 00:26:50
other people on how to do the things
  • 00:26:51
that I did so you're coaching from a
  • 00:26:53
place of doing versus from a place of
  • 00:26:55
theory and studying and just a really
  • 00:26:57
rare energy en and it's really
  • 00:26:59
contagious and I I strongly recommend
  • 00:27:01
Matt is not paying me for this to put
  • 00:27:03
that out there but I really strongly
  • 00:27:05
recommend I'm anyone that is in a
  • 00:27:07
position where you just want to overhaul
  • 00:27:10
your life in into your business and and
  • 00:27:11
really step into this as a full-time
  • 00:27:13
thing this program really really changed
  • 00:27:16
    my life thanks bro love
  • 00:27:18
you appreciate that we uh we should
  • 00:27:21
definitely uh link up again here soon in
  • 00:27:23
in Austin um what I'd like to close off
  • 00:27:26
with we're coming up to on time here and
  • 00:27:29
what I'd like to hear more is like CU
  • 00:27:30
mindset is a big part of of your journey
  • 00:27:32
your life your service I'd love for you
  • 00:27:35
like looking back at when you started
  • 00:27:37
your business if there was like you know
  • 00:27:39
things that either I've taught you or
  • 00:27:40
you've learned along the way what are
  • 00:27:41
some things that you would have done
  • 00:27:43
differently from the time you're like
  • 00:27:45
all right cool I'm starting to post on
  • 00:27:46
Instagram my story I know I want to
  • 00:27:48
monetize this what would you have done
  • 00:27:50
differently what advice would you have
  • 00:27:51
given yourself one of the best things I
  • 00:27:52
ever did before I launched on Instagram
  • 00:27:54
    I started a podcast and it's just a
  • 00:27:57
podcast of me just riffing just the way
  • 00:27:58
I'm kind of riffing at you right now in
  • 00:28:00
these little 5 10 minute Sprints right
  • 00:28:02
that's kind of my podcast style it's all
  • 00:28:03
just unedited and raw you know and and I
  • 00:28:06
feel that one of the best things that a
  • 00:28:10
a new entrepreneur like myself I'm still
  • 00:28:12
a very new entrepreneur can do is try to
  • 00:28:14
get as many speak ideas into existence
  • 00:28:17
so these are all things that I practiced
  • 00:28:19
right I know how I lost weight but I
  • 00:28:22
sometimes feel disconnected to what I
  • 00:28:23
was doing in the day-to-day it was five
  • 00:28:24
or six years ago the best thing I ever
  • 00:28:26
did was launched a podcast that t takes
  • 00:28:28
me less than 1 hour per week because
  • 00:28:30
it's just me speaking unedited no edits
  • 00:28:33
posted on podbean all of my ideas on how
  • 00:28:36
to refine my messaging and my content
  • 00:28:38
have not come from me sitting down and
  • 00:28:39
thinking about it they've come from me
  • 00:28:41
just blabbing on my podcast and I feel
  • 00:28:43
that anyone that is really trying to
  • 00:28:45
refine what they're doing anyone that's
  • 00:28:46
trying to speak new ideas into existence
  • 00:28:49
just having these recordings of yourself
  • 00:28:51
and sharing them with people isn't just
  • 00:28:53
a great way to step into that creative
  • 00:28:54
flow but it's also a great way to build
  • 00:28:57
a lot of trust with your brand so as big
  • 00:28:59
as my Instagram following is right
  • 00:29:01
almost all my high ticket clients were
  • 00:29:03
    actually podcast listeners because now
  • 00:29:05
    it's been a year we're almost 60
  • 00:29:06
episodes in and when somebody gets on a
  • 00:29:08
call with me and they've listened to all
  • 00:29:09
60 of my podcast episodes I mean what
  • 00:29:11
how I don't even have to say anything
  • 00:29:14
right it's here's the this person has
  • 00:29:15
spent weeks listening to me in their car
  • 00:29:17
they know my full story they know
  • 00:29:18
exactly what I do I don't even have to
  • 00:29:20
walk with them through the process it's
  • 00:29:21
just would you like to put that on your
  • 00:29:22
    MX or your
  • 00:29:23
visa and that's that's not me on a
  • 00:29:26
podcast trying to sell anyone anything
  • 00:29:28
it's just me on a podcast speaking
  • 00:29:29
authentically so you know my my advice
  • 00:29:32
would be I think it's under I think
  • 00:29:34
having a podcast is very underrated and
  • 00:29:36
I feel that plugging a podcast for me
  • 00:29:39
I've done a lot more plugging my
  • 00:29:41
podcasts on Instagram than I have
  • 00:29:42
plugging my mailing list I've Just Seen
  • 00:29:44
A lot more success with that than I ever
  • 00:29:46
have with my email marketing strategy
  • 00:29:48
    that's cool I I mean I'm starting to see
  • 00:29:49
the same with YouTube um I I like
  • 00:29:52
    YouTube because it's it's got a little
  • 00:29:53
bit higher search features for things
  • 00:29:56
and stuff like that discoverability but
  • 00:29:58
I agree I think once you like you know
  • 00:29:59
    you're consistent on Instagram social
  • 00:30:01
media and stuff like that there's so
  • 00:30:03
much uh value and relationship that
  • 00:30:05
depth you know from long form content
  • 00:30:08
and you know YouTube's a production
  • 00:30:10
right like you know I probably spend at
  • 00:30:11
least a, $2,000 a month on YouTube you
  • 00:30:14
know having V help me editors and stuff
  • 00:30:16
like that where D the podcast man I I
  • 00:30:18
    had one in 20 um 2019 I just had a a
  • 00:30:22
$100 mic maybe and I mean that I think I
  • 00:30:27
filmed one of the car listen to one in
  • 00:30:29
the car and it was just a just like you
  • 00:30:30
know a plugged in iPhone thing and it
  • 00:30:33
was fine you know the audio was fine so
  • 00:30:35
it's just like you don't need a bunch of
  • 00:30:37
fancy stuff you can just get started
  • 00:30:38
with very minimal stuff yeah love that
  • 00:30:42
the other thing that I would say is that
  • 00:30:43
virality does not equal money or trust I
  • 00:30:46
learned that the the really hard way you
  • 00:30:49
know when I I even earlier in my journey
  • 00:30:52
I had grown to 100K in like 50 days on
  • 00:30:54
Instagram from zero from 400 followers
  • 00:30:57
from high school school and college
  • 00:30:58
right with no ads all organically and
  • 00:31:01
what that did to me was made me really
  • 00:31:03
hooked on like if I'm not viral then I'm
  • 00:31:05
failing and as many people would tell me
  • 00:31:08
that that's not how I should think I'm
  • 00:31:10
like you guys don't understand because
  • 00:31:11
you've never experienced that level of
  • 00:31:12
virality so I would go like where's the
  • 00:31:14
people that have done it right is what
  • 00:31:16
what I was looking for and I got
  • 00:31:17
connected with people that had similarly
  • 00:31:20
felt the dopamine and the addictiveness
  • 00:31:22
of having all of that attention and
  • 00:31:24
being able to visualize virality I'm
  • 00:31:26
telling you right now the virality means
  • 00:31:28
literally nothing at all literally zero
  • 00:31:31
none of the people that are that are
  • 00:31:33
working with me came from any of these
  • 00:31:35
viral posts they all came from Posts
  • 00:31:37
that were just really authentic and
  • 00:31:38
focused on a really specific issue but
  • 00:31:40
none of those were actually my viral
  • 00:31:41
content so just making the switch from
  • 00:31:44
virality if you've never been viral and
  • 00:31:46
you want to be viral do everything that
  • 00:31:47
you want to do but just recognize it's
  • 00:31:49
really unrewarding in the long run and
  • 00:31:51
um it's really it really negatively
  • 00:31:53
impacted me actually at a lot of times I
  • 00:31:55
think that I would have moved faster and
  • 00:31:57
built this system programmed faster had
  • 00:31:59
I never experienced any virality I'd
  • 00:32:01
wake up and check my view count before
  • 00:32:03
waking up and checking on my clients
  • 00:32:05
wake up and account before waking up and
  • 00:32:07
checking my stripe account you know and
  • 00:32:08
those are very different very different
  • 00:32:10
mentality so that switch is something
  • 00:32:12
that was not in my awareness but I would
  • 00:32:14
have put that into my awareness sooner
  • 00:32:16
yeah thank you for sharing because I
  • 00:32:17
think some people probably listening to
  • 00:32:19
this is like oh yeah Nick Nick's done
  • 00:32:21
this but he has 200,000 followers how am
  • 00:32:24
I supposed to do that you know so I'm
  • 00:32:26
curious like if if there someone who's
  • 00:32:28
listening to this and sees that like
  • 00:32:30
what would you tell them yeah so I have
  • 00:32:31
200,000 followers but if you go look at
  • 00:32:34
at the actual view counts on recent
  • 00:32:36
reels and if you do this with anyone
  • 00:32:37
that you compare yourself to on
  • 00:32:38
Instagram most of these people that have
  • 00:32:41
a c in that couple hundred thousand it's
  • 00:32:42
different when you get into the like
  • 00:32:44
Hermos type of millions right but most
  • 00:32:46
of the people that have a couple hundred
  • 00:32:47
thousand followers they're not getting a
  • 00:32:49
couple hundred, views per real a lot of
  • 00:32:51
these reels are in the 20 to 40K range
  • 00:32:54
which is still a lot but there's
  • 00:32:55
actually very a lot less correlation
  • 00:32:58
right now this seems to change every few
  • 00:33:00
months right but right now in January of
  • 00:33:03
2025 a lot of the a lot of the heavy
  • 00:33:06
viewership is going to people with less
  • 00:33:07
followers so I have 200,000 followers
  • 00:33:09
    but I don't have 200,000 people looking
  • 00:33:11
at my Instagram on a regular basis and
  • 00:33:13
it's a very very different thing you
  • 00:33:14
know I know people that have 10,000
  • 00:33:16
followers on Instagram that are making
  • 00:33:18
three times as much money as I am right
  • 00:33:19
now with 200,000 yeah we we had a client
  • 00:33:23
last month just started with us he has
  • 00:33:25
less than a th000 followers and he made
  • 00:33:26
$46,000 in a month in cash not
  • 00:33:29
contracted in cash getting people off of
  • 00:33:32
Instagram Instagram is one of the best
  • 00:33:34
sales tools ever but I I feel that also
  • 00:33:37
getting it's easy to become reliant on
  • 00:33:39
    Instagram getting people off of
  • 00:33:41
Instagram into something else as well
  • 00:33:44
    drastically increases the trust and
  • 00:33:47
    drastically increases the likelihood
  • 00:33:48
that you're going to be able to maintain
  • 00:33:50
    trajectory should your Instagram just
  • 00:33:51
suddenly Lose virality Or should you
  • 00:33:53
somehow get Shadow banned or all these
  • 00:33:55
different things that may or may not
  • 00:33:56
even exist so so that's the other thing
  • 00:33:58
    that I would recommend that I I wish I
  • 00:34:00
would have done a little sooner too when
  • 00:34:01
you got virality take that virality and
  • 00:34:03
push them into into a different platform
  • 00:34:06
mailing list your podcast mailing list
  • 00:34:07
podcast YouTube even maybe a school
  • 00:34:09
group if you got good content in there
  • 00:34:10
too cool Nick well let's close this
  • 00:34:12
