with people of the Kingdom praying to

Abraham was confused and asked his

father why do you take these toys to the

temple

his father replied they are statues

which represent our gods

we worship them and ask favors from them

and we give them presents

one day his father saw him riding a

statue and he became Furious

he ordered his son not to play with it

Abraham asked what is this statue father

it has big ears bigger than ours

his father answered this statue is the

god of God's son these big ears show his
00:02:26
deep knowledge

this made Abraham laugh he was only

seven years old at that time
00:02:35
time went by and Abraham grew into a
00:02:38
young man

Abraham always wondered about Allah
00:02:42
always searching for the truth
00:02:45
he knew Allah could not be a statue it
00:02:49
made him upset to see that the people of
00:02:51
the Kingdom were still praying to idols
00:02:54
offering them the best of their food

crying and asking them for forgiveness

one night Abraham left his home to take

a walk to a nearby Mountain he found a

cave and sat leaning onto its wall

Abraham then got up and looked up at the

beautiful sky

and saw a dazzling star and wondered

could this be Allah

but when it disappeared he said I will

not worship anything that sets and

disappears

he then saw The Shining Moon rise up and

said could this be Allah but when it
00:03:38
faded he realized it too could not be

said if Allah doesn't guide me I will

surely become one of the lost people

Abraham stayed until sunrise and when he

saw the bright Sun he wondered could

this be Allah it is bigger

but when it's set

he understood that Allah could not be
00:04:03
something that was created

because Allah is the creator of

everything

Abraham put his face to the ground and

prayed

he knew that Allah had just guided him

and had chosen him to be a prophet to

guide his people

to his father and told him that he had

just been Guided by Allah and tried to

father follow me I will guide you on the

be punished for worshiping Idols rather

than Allah alone

his father became angry and said do you

reject my gods if you do not stop

prophet Abraham was very sad for his

father

and realized there was nothing more he

could do to make him know the truth so

he went to the people of the kingdom and

tried to guide them

o people I have turned my face towards

Allah I do not bow down to any of your

Idols for surely Allah is the one and
00:05:40
only true God

there is nobody worthy of worship except
00:05:45
him

the people were very angry when they
00:05:48
heard him say this
00:05:50
but he said to them why do you bow down
00:05:53
to these statues they have no power to
00:05:56
help or harm you the people replied we
00:05:59
saw our fathers worship them that is
00:06:02
enough proof for us
00:06:04
but Abraham did not give up and told
00:06:06
them my Lord gives me food and drink
00:06:09
when I need it and heals me when I am
00:06:12
sick
00:06:13
your statues have no power to do
00:06:15
anything
00:06:19
prophet Abraham decided he would show
00:06:22
them just how silly their beliefs were
00:06:25
he made a plan to destroy all their
00:06:27
idols
00:06:29
but he did not tell anyone what he was
00:06:31
going to do
00:06:33
there was a big celebration soon which
00:06:36
all the people usually go to outside of
00:06:38
town
00:06:43
so prophet Abraham waited until the
00:06:46
whole town was empty
00:06:48
and took an ax
00:06:49
he went inside the big Temple
00:06:52
where all the idols were kept
00:06:55
statues of all shapes and sizes were
00:06:58
sitting there covered with decorations
00:07:02
there were plates of food in front of
00:07:04
them and prophet Abraham jokingly asked
00:07:07
the idols why don't you eat your food
00:07:09
it's getting cold how silly were the
00:07:12
people to offer food to statues
00:07:16
so prophet Abraham started to smash the
00:07:18
idols one by one until they were all
00:07:21
broken and ruined except for one the
00:07:25
biggest statue in the temple
00:07:28
prophet Abraham hung the ax around its
00:07:31
neck and quickly went home
00:07:38
the next day when the people went to the
00:07:41
temple to pray to their Idols they were
00:07:44
shocked to see all the statues broken
00:07:46
into many pieces
00:07:48
they all gathered around the damage in
00:07:51
wonder
00:07:52
trying to work out who could have done
00:07:55
all of this
00:07:56
we heard a young man talking against our
00:07:58
gods they remembered his name was

the people found prophet Abraham and

brought him into the temple

they asked him are you the one who has
00:08:13
done this to our Gods prophet Abraham

thoughtfully replied it was this statue

here the biggest of them all ask that

statue if it can speak
00:08:26
the people became annoyed and said you

know very well that these Idols don't

speak

so prophet Abraham replied then why do

you worship things that can't speak or

see or even defend themselves

have you lost your minds

the people looked around in shame

because their minds and their hearts
00:08:48
were telling them the truth is with
00:08:51
prophet Abraham but they had too much

pride and wouldn't accept it

if they did it would mean they and their
00:08:59
forefathers were wrong for many

generations

they started yelling and shouting burn
00:09:06
him burn him take revenge for our gods

for several days the people of the
00:09:19
Kingdom gathered sticks and fuel for the
00:09:22
fire
00:09:23
the fire was so big that the people near
00:09:26
it were getting burnt themselves
00:09:35
but prophet Abraham was not scared
00:09:38
because he trusted Allah and knew that
00:09:41
he would not let anything bad happen to
00:09:44

news of this traveled very far and

people from lots of different towns came

to watch

the fire was finally ready the Flames

Rose so high that even the Birds could

not fly across anymore because of the
00:10:03
force of the Heat
00:10:15
the people of the Kingdom tied Prophet
00:10:18
Abraham's hands and feet and placed him
00:10:21
on a catapult a machine that would throw
00:10:25
him into the fire
00:10:28
Abraham was thrown into the air heading
00:10:31
straight towards the fire at that moment
00:10:34
the angel Gabriel came to prophet
00:10:36
Abraham and asked him is there anything
00:10:39
you wish for
00:10:41
Abraham could have wished to be saved

from the fire
00:10:45
but all he said was I only wish for

Allah to be pleased with me

the fire submitted to the will of Allah

becoming cool and safe for Abraham

it only burned the ropes tying him and

he sat in the midst of the fire

as if he was sitting in a garden he

glorified and praised Allah the almighty

with a heart that contained only his

love for his creator

when the fire finished burning prophet

Abraham walked out in perfect condition

the people were shocked and amazed to

see that prophet Abraham was not harmed

this miracle shamed the tyrants but it

did not cool the flame of anger in their
00:11:43
hearts
00:11:45
he tried every means to convince them
00:11:48
however in spite of his love and care
00:11:51
for his people they felt angry and
00:11:54
deserted him

so the people arrested prophet Abraham

and decided to take him to see their
00:12:03
King nimrod
00:12:05

Nimrod was very angry with prophet

Abraham and wanted to know why he
00:12:22
smashed all their idols
00:12:24
who is your god he asked prophet Abraham

he is Allah The One and Only God who
00:12:31
gives life and death said prophet

Abraham I can give life and death said
00:12:36
nimrod he ordered his guards to bring
00:12:39
two slaves and ordered them to be killed
00:12:43
the gods killed one of the slaves
00:12:47
then Nimrod said I have excused the
00:12:50
second slave let him go
00:12:56
the slave was set free see I can also
00:13:00
give life and death he said to prophet
00:13:03

prophet Abraham replied Allah makes the
00:13:08
sun rise from the East can you make the
00:13:11
sun rise from the west of course Nimrod

could not do this

no one has the power to do that except
00:13:18
Allah alone

but instead of believing in prophet

Abraham and submitting to Allah he
00:13:25
became even more angry and arrogant

only one woman and one man of his people

shared his belief in Allah the woman's
00:13:38
name was Sarah and the man's name was
00:13:40
Lot who later became a prophet
00:13:44
Abraham knew that nobody else would
00:13:47
listen to him
00:13:48
so he decided to migrate so that he
00:13:51
could spread Allah's message somewhere
00:13:53

before leaving Babylon Abraham asked his
00:13:59
father to submit to Allah once more but
00:14:02
his father refused and continued to
00:14:04
worship statues and idols
00:14:08
Abraham Sarah and lot began their long

journey

they went from Babylon to Syria and
00:14:35
Palestine by riding camels

their Journey was very long hot and
00:14:40
tiring but they knew that Allah would

reward them for it

on the way they helped a lot of poor

people by giving them food and advice
00:14:58
soon after that Abraham married Sarah
00:15:01
because she was a very good believer and
00:15:04
so they could have children who would
00:15:06
spread the message of Allah after their
00:15:08
death

one day Abraham and his wife Sarah were
00:15:24
passing by the territory of a Tyrant
00:15:26
King someone said to the Tyrant King
00:15:29
this man Abraham is accompanied by a
00:15:32
very Charming lady
00:15:34
so the king sent for Abraham and asked
00:15:38
him about Sarah saying who is this lady
00:15:41
Abraham replied she is my sister
00:15:45
Abraham went to Sarah and said oh Sarah
00:15:49
there are no Believers on the surface of
00:15:51
the Earth except us the king asked me
00:15:54
about you and I have told him that you
00:15:57
are my sister
00:15:58
do not tell him otherwise

the king then called for Sarah and when
00:16:04
she went to him he tried to take hold of
00:16:06
her with his hand but his hand became
00:16:09
stiff and he could not move it
00:16:11
he asked Sarah pray to Allah for me and
00:16:15
I shall not harm you so Sarah asked
00:16:18
Allah to cure him and he was cured
00:16:21
he tried to take hold of her for the
00:16:23
second time
00:16:24
but again his hand becomes stiff
00:16:30
he again asked Sarah pray to Allah for
00:16:33
me and I shall not harm you
00:16:36
Sarah prayed again and Allah cured him
00:16:44
he then called The God Who had brought
00:16:46
her and said
00:16:47
you have not brought me a human being
00:16:50
but have brought me a devil
00:16:53
the Tyrant King then gave Sarah hajjar
00:16:56
as a maidservant for Abraham
00:16:59
Sarah came back to Abraham while he was
00:17:01
praying
00:17:03
Abraham asked what has happened
00:17:06
she replied Allah has spoiled the evil
00:17:09
plot of that Tyrant King and gave me
00:17:12
hajjar as a maid
00:17:17
Abraham had aged and his hair was gray
00:17:20
after many years spent calling people to
00:17:23
Allah
00:17:25
Sarah thought that she and Abraham were
00:17:27
lonely
00:17:28
because she could not have a child
00:17:31
therefore she offered her husband hajjar
00:17:34
in marriage and pray to Allah to send
00:17:37
them a child
00:17:39
soon gave birth to her first son Ismail
00:17:42
when Abraham was an old man
00:17:49
one day when Abraham woke up he had a
00:17:53
feeling that Allah wanted him to do
00:17:55
something he asked hajar to get herself
00:17:58
and baby Ismail ready for a long journey
00:18:03
Abraham hajjar and the baby in her arms
00:18:06
kept walking and walking for a long time
00:18:09
until they reached the desert of the
00:18:12
Arabian Peninsula and came to a dry
00:18:14
Valley having no fruit no trees no food
00:18:18
and no water the valley had no sign of
00:18:21
life
00:18:23

after Abraham had helped his wife and
00:18:33
child off the camel he left them with a
00:18:36
small amount of food and water
00:18:39
which was hardly enough for two days he
00:18:41
turned around and walked away
00:18:44
his wife hurried after him asking
00:18:47
where are you going Abraham
00:18:49
leaving us in this Barren Valley
00:18:51
Abraham did not answer her and continued
00:18:54
walking she repeated what she had said
00:18:57
but he remained silent
00:19:00
finally she understood that he was not
00:19:02
acting on his own idea
00:19:05
she realized that Allah had commanded
00:19:08
him to do this
00:19:09
she asked him
00:19:11
did Allah command you to do so he

replied yes then his great wife said we
00:19:19
are not going to be lost since Allah who
00:19:22
has commanded you is with us

walking home

because he had left his wife and son in

a place with no other people he asked

Allah to give hajjar and his baby plenty

of fruits and to send people with good

haja began to drink from the water that
00:19:53
Abraham had left so she could feed
00:19:55
Ismail her milk soon the water was
00:19:58
finished and both she and her baby
00:20:01
became very thirsty her baby began to
00:20:04
cry so she went to a close Hill called
00:20:07
al-mawa and hoped that she might find
00:20:10
somebody but she did not find anyone
00:20:16
she kept running from al-mawa to the
00:20:18
other end called Al Safa seven times
00:20:21
when she reached almawa for the last
00:20:24
time she heard a voice and so she kept
00:20:27
quiet to hear where the voice was coming
00:20:30
from
00:20:31
she heard the voice again and said oh
00:20:34
whoever you may be
00:20:36
you have made me hear your voice have
00:20:39
you got something to help me
00:20:41
and behold she saw an angel digging the
00:20:45
Earth till water flowed from that place
00:20:54
she started to make something like a
00:20:56
basin around it and filled her water
00:20:58
skin with water
00:21:09
some people traveling through Makkah saw
00:21:12
birds flying around Al marwa and thought
00:21:15
the birds must be flying around water
00:21:17
they were right
00:21:19
when they arrived at the small well they
00:21:21
found a woman near the well with a baby
00:21:24
they asked hajjar if they could drink
00:21:27
from it hajar allowed them and many
00:21:30
people came to live with hajjar and
00:21:32
Ismail in almarwah now she and Ismail
00:21:35
were not alone anymore
00:21:44
Ismail grew up and learned Arabic from
00:21:47
the people and his virtues caused them
00:21:50
to love and admire him he always
00:21:53
wondered about his father but thought
00:21:55
his father was not going to be coming
00:21:56
back anytime soon
00:21:58
Ismail then married a woman from the
00:22:02
people that came to live with them
00:22:04

thankful to Allah that his son was still

Abraham missed his son Ismail very much

when Ishmael saw his father he stood up

and hugged him very tightly

he could not believe it it was a very
00:22:59
happy time for Abraham and his son

Allah wanted to test their faith to see
00:23:11
how strong their love for him was so he
00:23:14
sent a dream to Abraham
00:23:17
in his dream Abraham saw himself killing
00:23:20
his son
00:23:21
as a sacrifice to Allah
00:23:24
Abraham told his son about the dream

and they both realized it was an order

from Allah

why else would Allah send such an

important dream to Abraham

Ismail told his father to do what Allah

had asked him to

Abraham laid his son on the ground and

put his head down

just as he was about to slaughter his

son Allah sent a sheep from Heaven to be
00:23:53
killed instead
00:23:56
Allah had saved Ismail from death

Abraham was very happy that he did not
00:24:03
have to kill his son because he loved
00:24:05
him very much
00:24:07
Abraham slaughtered the sheep and they
00:24:10
had a big celebration
00:24:14
Abraham and Ismail kept calling people
00:24:17
to worship Allah
00:24:19
at that time there was no place for
00:24:21
people to worship Allah so one day Allah
00:24:25
ordered Abraham to build a house
00:24:28
Abraham said to his son o Ismael Allah

has given me an order to build a house
00:24:35
Ismail said do what your lord has
00:24:37
ordered you to do
00:24:39
Abraham asked him will you help me
00:24:42
Ismail replied yes of course I will help

then they raised the foundations of the
00:24:53
house
00:24:54
which is now known as the Kaaba
00:24:57
while building the Kaaba there were
00:24:59
saying O our Lord accept this service

from us verily

you are the all-hearer the Noah

when they completed the foundation and
00:25:10
built the corners Abraham asked Ismail
00:25:13
to find the best stone to lay in one of
00:25:15
the corners
00:25:16
Ishmael said to his father I feel tired
00:25:20
but Abraham insisted so Ismail went to
00:25:24
search for a stone
00:25:25
while he was gone the angel Gabriel
00:25:28
brought Abraham the Blackstone
00:25:31
he told him that Prophet Adam had
00:25:34
brought the stone down from Paradise and
00:25:36
it was originally white however the sins
00:25:39
of the people had blackened it
00:25:46
when Ismail returned and saw the Black
00:25:49
Stone near the corner he asked his
00:25:51
father where it came from Abraham
00:25:54
replied it was brought by someone who is
00:25:56
more active than you and never gets
00:25:59
tired

so they completed the building of
00:26:03
al-qaba while praying to Allah to accept
00:26:06
their work

Allah was very pleased with Abraham and
