Hello guys and gals. Me Mudahar and uh
  • 00:00:03
do you ever wish there was a digital
  • 00:00:04
version of Ompic for your computers
  • 00:00:06
ladies and gentlemen? Well, when I found
  • 00:00:09
out that apparently Microsoft uses like
  • 00:00:11
what 30% uh 30% of Microsoft code was
  • 00:00:14
apparently written by an AI as according
  • 00:00:16
to their boss, it all started to make
  • 00:00:18
sense. Now, there's a lot of things that
  • 00:00:20
Windows does where I feel like they
  • 00:00:22
    introduced features that nobody really
  • 00:00:24
asked for. things like, you know,
  • 00:00:25
Windows recall and amongst a whole bunch
  • 00:00:27
of other things that have turned this
  • 00:00:29
once beautiful operating system into a
  • 00:00:31
bloated carcass. Now, of course, one of
  • 00:00:33
my favorite operating systems is like
  • 00:00:35
Windows XP. You know, somehow back then
  • 00:00:38
on 256 megs of RAM, I mean, this is 2
  • 00:00:41
gigs of RAM, one core, and this thing is
  • 00:00:44
    performant. It just flies through
  • 00:00:46
everything. And generally I have a
  • 00:00:48
Windows XP virtual machine, not just to
  • 00:00:50
relive nostalgia, but to play really old
  • 00:00:52
games under it sometimes where again
  • 00:00:55
    we're not dealing with compatibility
  • 00:00:56
    problems. Sometimes I just run [ __ ] in
  • 00:00:59
here to make sure it just works um you
  • 00:01:01
know out of the box. I don't want to
  • 00:01:02
    deal with configurations and anything.
  • 00:01:04
But, you know, when I look at, you know,
  • 00:01:06
web browsers of today, it's crazy that a
  • 00:01:08
web browser now, I think, has a higher
  • 00:01:11
system requirement than like Windows XP
  • 00:01:14
and like a lot of these older little
  • 00:01:15
operating systems. But now, moving up to
  • 00:01:17
Windows 10, Windows 11, uh, the bloat is
  • 00:01:21
is pretty real. And one of the questions
  • 00:01:22
I get asked is, Muda, how do I how do I
  • 00:01:25
uh how do I debloat my operating system?
  • 00:01:27
How do I make sure that it actually
  • 00:01:29
functions properly? How do I make sure I
  • 00:01:31
get rid of all the fat? What is that
  • 00:01:33
    digital ompic everyone's been talking
  • 00:01:35
about? Now, you might be like, "But
  • 00:01:37
Muda, why would one need to debloat a
  • 00:01:39
system?" To give you an idea, I'm
  • 00:01:41
somebody that uses Linux, but Linux is
  • 00:01:43
not a perfect operating system, as
  • 00:01:45
nothing really is. And in fact, when it
  • 00:01:47
comes to things like gaming, for
  • 00:01:49
instance, there's actually a lot of
  • 00:01:50
negatives that come with Linux gaming.
  • 00:01:52
Uh, generally speaking, if you have an
  • 00:01:54
Nvidia GPU like me, you're probably
  • 00:01:56
going to have some level of performance
  • 00:01:58
loss. But sometimes there's some really
  • 00:02:01
secret W's that actually end up coming
  • 00:02:03
through the trough. So, for instance,
  • 00:02:05
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of my favorite
  • 00:02:07
games. It's also one of the best looking
  • 00:02:09
games that I've probably ever played.
  • 00:02:11
And when you crank up the settings all
  • 00:02:13
the way to max with super intense
  • 00:02:15
    rateracing, it is genuinely a
  • 00:02:18
mind-boggling experience how a game can
  • 00:02:20
look this good. But of course, uh, I did
  • 00:02:23
some benchmarks with the in-game tool,
  • 00:02:25
and I was actually a little bit
  • 00:02:26
surprised. So, inside over here, I used
  • 00:02:29
    the actual in-game benchmark. I
  • 00:02:31
basically set the settings to maximum,
  • 00:02:33
ran the game at 1440p, and of course, I
  • 00:02:36
did not enable any form of rate tracing.
  • 00:02:38
The only thing I enabled was DLSS at a
  • 00:02:41
performance level between both of the
  • 00:02:43
systems. So, that no variable was really
  • 00:02:46
    all that different. Now, surprisingly
  • 00:02:48
underneath Linux, I ended up getting a
  • 00:02:51
107 frames per second on average. With
  • 00:02:55
Windows, I ended up getting 81 frames
  • 00:02:57
per second on average. So again, ladies
  • 00:03:00
    and gentlemen, that's a pretty
  • 00:03:01
substantial difference in terms of how
  • 00:03:04
smooth that experience can be. Looking
  • 00:03:06
at the minimum frames, I was looking at
  • 00:03:09
around 70 frames per second on Linux and
  • 00:03:12
63 on Windows. And of course, when it
  • 00:03:15
came to the max, somehow I hit 150 on
  • 00:03:18
Linux, but I hit 95 on Windows. So,
  • 00:03:22
    surprisingly speaking, it it really
  • 00:03:24
comes across that under my testing and
  • 00:03:27
my system, believe it or not, ladies and
  • 00:03:29
gentlemen, Linux is somehow faster than
  • 00:03:32
Windows for one of the most heaviest
  • 00:03:34
games. But you might be like, Bud Muda,
  • 00:03:36
what about that ray tracing you were
  • 00:03:38
talking about? And this is where I was
  • 00:03:39
also a little bit shocked as well. So, I
  • 00:03:41
did the benchmarks again and I enabled
  • 00:03:43
    every single option underneath the
  • 00:03:45
system with ray tracing up to the psycho
  • 00:03:48
level except I didn't put on the path
  • 00:03:50
tracing. I just left it to maximum rate
  • 00:03:52
    tracing. And surprisingly, Linux was
  • 00:03:55
    still faster. Like underneath these
  • 00:03:57
    benchmark tests, ladies and gentlemen,
  • 00:03:59
    Linux is somehow at
  • 00:04:02
76.2 frames per second average. With
  • 00:04:05
    Windows, you're looking at 64.
  • 00:04:07
Surprisingly on the Windows side, I'm at
  • 00:04:10
54 frames per second minimum and a 60
  • 00:04:12
frame minimum on Linux. So, surprisingly
  • 00:04:16
speaking, even with all of the bells and
  • 00:04:18
whistles attached, I have found one of
  • 00:04:20
the toughest games, one of the most
  • 00:04:22
performant uh you know uh ripping games
  • 00:04:25
    running actually better underneath the
  • 00:04:27
Penguin. And this actually shocked me a
  • 00:04:29
little bit because I tested other other
  • 00:04:31
games underneath Windows and I would say
  • 00:04:33
    the performance sometimes can be
  • 00:04:35
inversed. Now, what I'm doing over here
  • 00:04:38
is setting up a uh virtual machine with
  • 00:04:40
a graphics card pass through. I've
  • 00:04:42
talked about it in the past, but I kind
  • 00:04:44
of have to do this, especially when
  • 00:04:45
playing a lot of recent performant
  • 00:04:47
games, games that have things like ray
  • 00:04:49
tracing or path tracing as a near
  • 00:04:51
requirement at this point. And generally
  • 00:04:53
speaking, the reason I got to go through
  • 00:04:54
with this is obviously I have to need I
  • 00:04:56
have to have technologies like frame
  • 00:04:58
generation and upscaling. And it's not
  • 00:05:00
like this doesn't exist underneath Linux
  • 00:05:02
right now. It's just a lot better and
  • 00:05:04
smoother of an experience in Windows.
  • 00:05:06
Alongside modding games, which are just
  • 00:05:09
substantially easier to do in Windows,
  • 00:05:10
even to this day, although it's getting
  • 00:05:12
better, uh, you might be wondering,
  • 00:05:14
okay, how do you, you know, trim the fat
  • 00:05:16
off Windows and get a better experience
  • 00:05:18
    without sacrificing the functionality or
  • 00:05:21
the usability and stability of the
  • 00:05:23
system? You absolutely can trim the
  • 00:05:25
system down. And uh in some cases, I
  • 00:05:27
think if you have a lower-end system,
  • 00:05:30
you probably are required to if you want
  • 00:05:32
to get an extra couple years out of your
  • 00:05:34
system. So, I made a video in the past
  • 00:05:36
where I showed different versions of
  • 00:05:38
Windows 11, like gamer oriented builds
  • 00:05:41
that you could download and install onto
  • 00:05:43
your system that already came debloed.
  • 00:05:45
    And generally speaking, I wouldn't
  • 00:05:47
    really trust downloading something like
  • 00:05:48
that on the internet. I even played
  • 00:05:50
around with something called Windows 11
  • 00:05:52
Government Edition that I believe was
  • 00:05:54
alleged to come from like China, which
  • 00:05:56
had a lot of the spying actually
  • 00:05:58
removed. Turns out it was some person
  • 00:06:01
who actually ended up putting together a
  • 00:06:03
deflated version of Windows and it
  • 00:06:05
didn't have anything to do with Windows
  • 00:06:07
officially. Okay, so it was something
  • 00:06:08
    that somebody jerryrigged together. So,
  • 00:06:11
I'm going to show you how to actually do
  • 00:06:13
all of these things yourself without
  • 00:06:15
ever relying on downloading shady stuff
  • 00:06:17
from the internet. I mean, you kind of
  • 00:06:19
are dealing with shady stuff here, but
  • 00:06:20
this is more of a DIY hack job. So,
  • 00:06:23
there are, if you look up Windows
  • 00:06:25
debloating, you'll probably find like a
  • 00:06:27
whole bunch of different tools out
  • 00:06:28
there, like Windows 10 DBLO. There's one
  • 00:06:31
good tool by Chris Titus Tech, who also
  • 00:06:33
runs an amazing channel on YouTube
  • 00:06:35
talking about this kind of stuff. But,
  • 00:06:36
of course, there's GitHub projects like
  • 00:06:38
this where it's it's really simple, like
  • 00:06:40
you could just run one actual thing in
  • 00:06:42
terminal and then basically go through
  • 00:06:44
this entire list. But even this may be a
  • 00:06:47
little bit too daunting for the average
  • 00:06:49
person. So in amongst all of this, I saw
  • 00:06:51
one project debloat Windows in just two
  • 00:06:55
clicks. Okay, that's that's pretty cool.
  • 00:06:57
Two clicks is all it takes to debloat
  • 00:07:00
this this [ __ ] carcass of an
  • 00:07:02
    operating system. Well, apparently it's
  • 00:07:04
supposed to be used on freshly installed
  • 00:07:07
Windows 11 systems. So, if you got a
  • 00:07:09
current Windows 11 system, you you might
  • 00:07:11
not want to run this unless you you
  • 00:07:13
    you're absolutely okay with having
  • 00:07:15
things like system corruption and apps
  • 00:07:17
not working properly. So, of course,
  • 00:07:20
let's guide through it. Okay, so on
  • 00:07:21
their GitHub right over here, uh if you
  • 00:07:23
go to their actual like dbloat.win,
  • 00:07:26
they'll guide you through it. So, I'm
  • 00:07:27
going to open this page up in a freshly
  • 00:07:30
    installed virtual machine here just
  • 00:07:32
simply due to the fact that again it
  • 00:07:34
requires you to freshly install just so
  • 00:07:36
you can get the better performance on
  • 00:07:38
your system. So, right here it says
  • 00:07:40
Windows is bloated, packed full of
  • 00:07:42
    telemetry, and now even has
  • 00:07:44
    advertisements in your notifications,
  • 00:07:46
which if I actually do open my
  • 00:07:48
notifications. Wow, look at that. Do you
  • 00:07:50
    love Xbox PC
  • 00:07:52
gaming? I love when we just get ads for
  • 00:07:55
    operating systems now. It's so [ __ ]
  • 00:07:57
keynote, dude. Love that [ __ ] Uh,
  • 00:08:00
    anyways, with Microsoft continuing to
  • 00:08:03
implement AI into the OS because yes,
  • 00:08:05
you need that Windows co-pilot tool
  • 00:08:07
    because Microsoft spent billions of
  • 00:08:10
dollars investing in this dog [ __ ] So,
  • 00:08:12
of course, they want to pawn it off to
  • 00:08:13
    the average audience, install more
  • 00:08:15
    excessive software, and increase their
  • 00:08:16
spying. It's costing you time, money,
  • 00:08:19
and your privacy. So that is all true.
  • 00:08:22
But again, I want to stress and we'll
  • 00:08:24
talk about this a little bit afterwards.
  • 00:08:26
I I don't know the efficacy of doing all
  • 00:08:28
this, but I think this is more of a
  • 00:08:29
placebo thing like people feel better uh
  • 00:08:32
just because their system is debloated.
  • 00:08:34
So for instance, right over here, this
  • 00:08:36
is focused on user friendliness for non-
  • 00:08:38
techsavvy users. So for you who doesn't
  • 00:08:41
you don't want to go through a billion
  • 00:08:43
boxes, let's go through it. Download for
  • 00:08:45
Windows 11. So here it's downloading
  • 00:08:47
    Talonzip marked as unsafe by
  • 00:08:51
defender. We're keeping it. Okay, it's
  • 00:08:54
    my computer. I get to
  • 00:08:57
decide. Let me download. Wait, it's
  • 00:08:59
    delet it's deleting everything. It's
  • 00:09:00
    saying it's a [ __ ] virus. Now,
  • 00:09:03
according to the guys over at Talon,
  • 00:09:05
some of these YouTubers like Chris Titus
  • 00:09:07
Tech, for instance, and Raphire, who
  • 00:09:09
does the Win 11 DBlow tool, which is
  • 00:09:11
also really, really popular, one that I
  • 00:09:13
would highly recommend, these people are
  • 00:09:15
actual authors and contributors to this.
  • 00:09:18
So, you know, Microsoft is alleging that
  • 00:09:20
there is a malware delivered by these
  • 00:09:22
people, which is probably not true.
  • 00:09:24
Like, it's most likely that this is a
  • 00:09:26
    false positive that's actually coming
  • 00:09:28
through. But again, there's always a
  • 00:09:30
thing with this kind of stuff is when
  • 00:09:31
    you're installing these tools, remember
  • 00:09:33
    you're you're installing software that
  • 00:09:36
you really have to put your trust into.
  • 00:09:38
Okay? So, even though that I'm showing
  • 00:09:39
you this, I don't recommend that you go
  • 00:09:43
through with this route. Okay? Because
  • 00:09:44
unless you know what you're really
  • 00:09:46
installing into your system, this is
  • 00:09:47
always a risky play. But I'm going to
  • 00:09:50
take off the condom here, so to speak.
  • 00:09:51
I'm going to turn off realtime
  • 00:09:52
protection, and I will expose my
  • 00:09:54
computer to every single STD that's
  • 00:09:56
    available. Okay. So, let's redownload
  • 00:09:58
that one more time and let's let's slap
  • 00:10:00
that. Oh, look. Look at that. Look at
  • 00:10:01
that. Look at that. Look at that
  • 00:10:03
    administrative like shield there. All
  • 00:10:06
right, let's fire this up. Malicious
  • 00:10:08
file. Oh my god, dude. They really don't
  • 00:10:10
want me to install this, you know. Look,
  • 00:10:12
they got that big red warning. Run it.
  • 00:10:14
Run it, baby. Let's go. So, here it is.
  • 00:10:17
Giving me the UAC prompt. Yep. Let's go.
  • 00:10:20
Let's install it. This might be a virus
  • 00:10:22
investigations live. You know, you never
  • 00:10:24
    know. Windows Defender has been
  • 00:10:25
disabled. Okay, close this window to
  • 00:10:28
proceed. Sure thing. It's designed to be
  • 00:10:30
freshly installed on Windows 11 systems.
  • 00:10:32
Running this program on an already inu
  • 00:10:34
system could result in data loss. And
  • 00:10:37
it's probably because if you have things
  • 00:10:39
downloaded uh that Oh, whoa. Whoa. Why
  • 00:10:43
did it close? It's kind of crazy how
  • 00:10:46
like this is tripping on so many actual
  • 00:10:49
antivirus library. Look. Oh my god. It
  • 00:10:52
just this is like ins. They are really
  • 00:10:55
against me running this software. Oh my
  • 00:10:57
god. All right. Okay. So, let's I guess
  • 00:11:00
we have to speedrun this. Hit okay. Hit
  • 00:11:02
brave. Uh, yes. In. No. Wait. No. Don't.
  • 00:11:05
    Lightweight software designed to work
  • 00:11:07
with minimal distractions. Uh, no. Thank
  • 00:11:08
you. Don't install anything extra that I
  • 00:11:10
don't need. Okay. So, now it's running
  • 00:11:11
this tool. Okay. So, you have to kind of
  • 00:11:14
like fasttrack everything. And so, it
  • 00:11:15
runs these tools for you. and it's
  • 00:11:17
basically running, I believe, two of the
  • 00:11:19
most popular debloating scripts in the
  • 00:11:22
market right now in order to do this.
  • 00:11:25
Now, one of the things is with the
  • 00:11:26
amount of malware that's come up, I
  • 00:11:28
wanted to show a video by John Hammond,
  • 00:11:30
but is it malware? Where he actually
  • 00:11:33
made this 3 months ago, and it's a
  • 00:11:34
39minute video, but you know, the TLDDW
  • 00:11:37
of it is is that he actually looked into
  • 00:11:39
the Talon DBlo script. The the long and
  • 00:11:42
short of it is that it really this is
  • 00:11:44
like a really in-depth script to really
  • 00:11:46
    prevent Microsoft from reinfesting your
  • 00:11:49
computer with like all of their software
  • 00:11:51
once again. And I believe all of these
  • 00:11:53
things huristically just piss off uh the
  • 00:11:56
Talon guys. Did it actually crash again?
  • 00:11:58
Oh my god. Did it [ __ ] crash one more
  • 00:12:00
time? So I will say something right now.
  • 00:12:02
Now that all this is done, the mental
  • 00:12:05
anguish that it took to install this
  • 00:12:08
    without having Microsoft Windows
  • 00:12:10
Defender continuously freak the out is
  • 00:12:13
actually insane. But it actually did run
  • 00:12:16
all of these tools. And of course, it
  • 00:12:18
produces this Talon.ext file, which if
  • 00:12:20
you look very carefully, one of the most
  • 00:12:22
important things that it has done is
  • 00:12:24
    it's actually done protective folders
  • 00:12:27
that have been made for Edge and
  • 00:12:29
Edgecore, which I think was actually the
  • 00:12:30
reason why this was causing it. and and
  • 00:12:32
and one thing that I believe was the
  • 00:12:34
focus point of like, you know, any
  • 00:12:35
malware analysis here. So, what that
  • 00:12:37
basically means is if you look at the
  • 00:12:38
bottom left, this is a pretty clean
  • 00:12:41
    Windows installation. It actually
  • 00:12:42
reminds me a lot of Windows XP for
  • 00:12:44
crying out loud. Okay, just one simple
  • 00:12:46
start button, maybe a widget if
  • 00:12:47
possible, but it's clean. Now, there's
  • 00:12:50
also Win 11 DBLO, which I recommend you
  • 00:12:53
use instead just simply by going to
  • 00:12:55
their actual GitHub page. you can open
  • 00:12:57
up a terminal, so to speak, uh,
  • 00:12:59
    preferably as that juicy administrator.
  • 00:13:02
And of course, as long as you copy this
  • 00:13:05
into this, uh, and hit enter, you can
  • 00:13:08
    effectively debloat your windows right
  • 00:13:09
here. So, it runs the script for you.
  • 00:13:11
And again, it's pretty easy to use. Uh,
  • 00:13:13
you'll get this little window right
  • 00:13:14
here, and you can just go to uh, default
  • 00:13:16
mode. You hit one, and of course, it'll
  • 00:13:20
tell you it's going to remove the
  • 00:13:21
default selection of apps. It's going to
  • 00:13:23
    disable telemetry, disable Bing search,
  • 00:13:25
    disable co-pilot, everything imaginable,
  • 00:13:28
and just hit enter. So, of course, it'll
  • 00:13:30
be like system restore is disabled.
  • 00:13:31
Since I'm on a VM and I don't want to
  • 00:13:33
waste more time, hit no. Just just just
  • 00:13:35
do what you have to. So, again, this
  • 00:13:37
shows you a more verbose way of what's
  • 00:13:39
going on, but it's basically removing
  • 00:13:41
all of these unneeded applications that
  • 00:13:43
really you don't need. Like, do you ever
  • 00:13:45
use Microsoft sticky notes? Do you ever
  • 00:13:48
use Copilot? Do you ever use Bing for
  • 00:13:50
crying out loud? Well, you probably
  • 00:13:52
don't want to deal with it. Okay, I've
  • 00:13:53
never even heard of what the [ __ ] Clip
  • 00:13:55
Champ is, but I'm getting rid of it.
  • 00:13:57
Now, when all of this is effectively
  • 00:13:58
done, it'll just do a final cleanup. And
  • 00:14:01
lo and behold, ladies and gentlemen, you
  • 00:14:03
now have one of the most gutted systems
  • 00:14:06
that God has ever seen when it comes to
  • 00:14:08
Windows 11. Now, if you look very
  • 00:14:11
carefully, all of the features in this
  • 00:14:13
have been completely removed. Okay? So,
  • 00:14:15
for instance, if you look up C-pilot,
  • 00:14:17
that doesn't exist. The AI isn't there.
  • 00:14:19
Things like Skype, which should have
  • 00:14:21
been removed, have been gone. Things
  • 00:14:22
like all those Candy Crush, Tik Tok
  • 00:14:25
    advertisements, all of this is
  • 00:14:26
completely gutted and it is now a more
  • 00:14:29
efficient system. Even if you look into
  • 00:14:31
your task manager and just see how much
  • 00:14:33
you know your system is being used,
  • 00:14:35
    you'll probably be pleasantly surprised
  • 00:14:37
that there is actually a cost-saving uh
  • 00:14:40
    performance-wise to everything under the
  • 00:14:42
under the gun over here. Now, I would
  • 00:14:44
recommend that you only play with that
  • 00:14:46
Windows 11 debloat script. I think the
  • 00:14:48
Talon stuff which was supposed to be
  • 00:14:50
user friendly is uh it's just tripping
  • 00:14:53
up Windows too much as opposed to these
  • 00:14:56
other um you know debloat scripts that
  • 00:14:58
seem to be doing their job just fine.
  • 00:15:00
Now of course the thing about these
  • 00:15:02
deblo scripts is because we picked a
  • 00:15:04
popular version there shouldn't be other
  • 00:15:07
things that are broken underneath the
  • 00:15:09
system, right? It should all just be
  • 00:15:10
working fine. Now of course ladies and
  • 00:15:13
gentlemen, does this actually give you a
  • 00:15:15
benefit? So, we actually did do some
  • 00:15:17
testing. Like, I did try to play around
  • 00:15:19
with Cyberpunk once again. Like, I
  • 00:15:21
    transitioned this into bare metal
  • 00:15:22
systems. Uh, and generally speaking, I
  • 00:15:25
    don't even think that we've seen a
  • 00:15:27
performance matchup closer to what I had
  • 00:15:29
    seen with Linux earlier. So,
  • 00:15:31
    realistically, even if you debloat
  • 00:15:33
Windows entirely, it's still less it's
  • 00:15:36
still not as performant in my experience
  • 00:15:39
as, you know, even Linux Mint, which has
  • 00:15:41
its own level of bloat kind of attached
  • 00:15:43
to it. obviously nowhere near as much as
  • 00:15:45
Windows does. And generally speaking, I
  • 00:15:48
don't really even recommend this if you
  • 00:15:49
have like a gaming oriented rig because
  • 00:15:51
I really feel like the actual um benefit
  • 00:15:54
you get out of this is is mostly a
  • 00:15:55
    placebo because people generally have
  • 00:15:57
    hardware magnitude stronger than the
  • 00:15:59
system requirements for Windows. It used
  • 00:16:02
to be that Windows was bloated to a
  • 00:16:04
point where you could argue that just it
  • 00:16:06
    existing was probably taking up
  • 00:16:07
    meaningful performance space, but I
  • 00:16:09
    don't think a debloated Windows
  • 00:16:11
    experience or a regular Windows
  • 00:16:13
experience is necessarily going to give
  • 00:16:15
you, you know, more frames than what is
  • 00:16:17
the margin of error, right? Like I just
  • 00:16:19
don't think that's how it works. But one
  • 00:16:21
thing that I also saw that was super
  • 00:16:22
    duper interesting, ladies and gentlemen,
  • 00:16:24
was that one of the exineers uh from
  • 00:16:27
Microsoft ended up creating a Windows
  • 00:16:29
alternative for people who want to
  • 00:16:31
switch to the penguin. So there was
  • 00:16:33
    something called Andween OS, right?
  • 00:16:35
Where again you can download this Abuntu
  • 00:16:38
    based distribution that facilitates
  • 00:16:40
    developers transitioning from Windows to
  • 00:16:43
Linux. And to give you an idea, it comes
  • 00:16:46
in long-term release forms. I just
  • 00:16:48
    downloaded the standard version. And
  • 00:16:50
here they tell you you can use it to
  • 00:16:52
browse the web, obviously, play video
  • 00:16:54
    games, obviously, build programs, work,
  • 00:16:57
serve, and of course, edit stuff on. So,
  • 00:17:01
again, I wanted to show you how cool
  • 00:17:03
this looked because again, I think it's
  • 00:17:04
a great way to end the video off, right?
  • 00:17:06
    Like the ultimate debloated Windows
  • 00:17:08
experience is just a totally different
  • 00:17:10
    [ __ ] operating system. And it's
  • 00:17:13
better, too. So immediately when you
  • 00:17:15
install Andween OS, all right, you just
  • 00:17:18
log into your account and boy oh boy,
  • 00:17:20
I'll tell you right now, you would be
  • 00:17:22
shocked to probably at first identify
  • 00:17:25
the difference between good old Windows
  • 00:17:27
11 and this. So when you start it off,
  • 00:17:30
one thing to note is they've got the
  • 00:17:31
similar taskbar over here. So you press
  • 00:17:33
that start button and boy, it looks
  • 00:17:35
dangerously close to Windows 11. And one
  • 00:17:38
thing that's really beautiful about this
  • 00:17:40
is obviously I'm not seeing no Candy
  • 00:17:41
Crush, no Tik Tok. I am seeing free
  • 00:17:44
    alternative software which again is
  • 00:17:46
always great to see in comparison to
  • 00:17:49
what is standard you know Windows slop
  • 00:17:51
and of course the actual similarities
  • 00:17:53
kind of end there when you open any
  • 00:17:55
program like this does not resemble a
  • 00:17:57
Windows task manager it's just it's just
  • 00:17:59
a lot better so you know you don't have
  • 00:18:00
to worry too much but of course you want
  • 00:18:02
to get access to cool software there's a
  • 00:18:04
cool little app store in the bottom and
  • 00:18:06
of course this allows you to get your
  • 00:18:07
system updates in amongst your actual
  • 00:18:10
games like Steam or Discord or any
  • 00:18:13
productivity software so to speak and
  • 00:18:15
I'll tell you right now it's already a
  • 00:18:17
lot more performant as well too. So I
  • 00:18:20
think for a lot of people who are like,
  • 00:18:21
man, I I Linux seems so dastardly
  • 00:18:26
    confusing, you know, switching to
  • 00:18:27
something like this and and trying kind
  • 00:18:29
of trying your hand at a at a Linux
  • 00:18:32
operating system through the lens and
  • 00:18:34
the accessibility of something like, you
  • 00:18:36
know, uh, this DRO is actually not even
  • 00:18:39
that bad of an option, right? Like you
  • 00:18:41
can, you know, I would recommend you
  • 00:18:42
probably go to Mint, but for somebody
  • 00:18:44
who's so in tune with Windows, you know,
  • 00:18:47
you can try to switch using stuff like
  • 00:18:49
this. And this might give you a good
  • 00:18:50
example of what a truly debloated system
  • 00:18:53
looks like, especially when you don't
  • 00:18:55
have all the excessive baggage that I
  • 00:18:57
think Windows software is is sort of
  • 00:18:59
known to have. And again, you know, if
  • 00:19:01
you want to get access to even things
  • 00:19:03
like the most up-to-date chat PS4
  • 00:19:05
emulator and, you know, run games like
  • 00:19:07
Bloodborne on your brand new Linux box,
  • 00:19:10
all it takes is one quick tick of an
  • 00:19:11
install button. Not even you logging
  • 00:19:14
into a storefront like Windows Store.
  • 00:19:17
You just click that little install and
  • 00:19:18
bam, ladies and gentlemen, Bob's your
  • 00:19:20
uncle. It installs as simply as anything
  • 00:19:22
that you would do on your mobile device
  • 00:19:24
or even Windows device, too. And if you
  • 00:19:26
really want to start playing around with
  • 00:19:28
Windows software, you can install things
  • 00:19:30
like Wine, for instance, by following
  • 00:19:31
these set of instructions and just get
  • 00:19:33
access to Windows software or at least a
  • 00:19:36
good healthy amount of it on your new
  • 00:19:38
endween system. But yeah, the debloating
  • 00:19:41
Windows stuff, it's not as difficult as
  • 00:19:44
one would think, but I wanted to show it
  • 00:19:46
to you guys because obviously some
  • 00:19:47
people really wanted to like cut the fat
  • 00:19:49
out of their Windows. Like, you know, I
  • 00:19:50
need it, but I don't like Windows spying
  • 00:19:52
on me. I don't like Windows installing
  • 00:19:54
    like 800 applications that I don't
  • 00:19:56
    [ __ ] need. But how do I clean it in a
  • 00:19:58
quick efficient way? It's literally that
  • 00:20:00
simple. But I think if you're at a point
  • 00:20:02
where you need to like gut and debloat
  • 00:20:04
the system you're on, it probably is
  • 00:20:06
better that you start learning the
  • 00:20:08
alternative uh you know before it just
  • 00:20:11
keeps getting worse, right? Like simple

  • 00:20:14
AI push. They're not stopping a lot of

    this dog [ __ ] So, it's probably ideal

cases, it can actually be a lot better,
  • 00:20:29

  • 00:20:31
hardware. I mean, if you just have AMD
  • 00:20:33
GPU, like an AMD system, things just
  • 00:20:36
work flawlessly, at least in my
  • 00:20:38
experience, right? But yeah, if you like
  • 00:20:40
what you saw, please like, comment, and
  • 00:20:41
subscribe. Dislike if you dislike it. I

    am out.
